WrestleMania has had it all.
Celebrities, sports figures, MMA fighters, icons, and even future presidents - multiple
times.
There have been cage matches, ladder matches, Hell in a Cell matches, street fights and
lingerie pillow fight matches - but I am Luke Owen and for all the event's spectacle,
here are four WrestleMania matches that will NEVER happen again.
Big Show vs. Akebono
WrestleMania 21 in Hollywood, California didn't just have a major changing of the guard - with
both Batista and John Cena winning their first world championships - it was also had an awful
sumo match between Akebono and The Big Show.
Akebono was a great sumo wrestler, and was the first non-Japanese born wrestler to reach
Yokozuna - the highest rank of Sumo wrestling, not the 90s WWF wrestler - and the match had
quite a lot of hype around it.
But the crowd booed it out of the building when the traditional pre-match salt throwing
and mind-games became tiresome.
The match itself was just a lot of hand slapping, with the finish being Akebono using a hip
toss to throw Show out.
But the match did have one fan...if only by default, with Bryan Alvarez writing in his
review, "No real rating, but I will say that this was [Shawn] Michaels vs. [Kurt]
Angle compared to [Christy Hemme vs. Trish Stratus]." - of Figure Four Weekly, Issue
#511
Surprisingly, this wasn't Akebono's only time in the WWE, as he teamed with Big Show
at a house show against Carlito and Matt Morgan, and he won championships in All Japan Pro
Wrestling and Dragon Gate.
But for all his accomplishments, there hasn't been a sumo match at WrestleMania since, and
this is probably the reason why.
Bart Gunn vs. Butterbean
Bart Gunn vs. Butterbean from WrestleMania 15 was the culmination of the infamous Brawl
For All tournament, a series of televised shoot fights - meaning the wrestlers actually
physically beat each other up - which unsurprisingly caused more injuries than created stars.
And who did Gunn face for winning his matches?
One of the toughest men on the planet in heavyweight boxer Butterbean, who - by this point of his
career - had 36 knockouts and 18 toughman contest wins.
But this wasn't a boxing match, this wasn't a wrestling match, this was a fight.
Rumours have been rife around this match, with many speculating that it was punishment
for Gunn winning Brawl For All.
The story goes that Jim Ross wanted to use the tournament to launch the WWF career of
Doctor Death Steve Williams, who was then planned to feud with WWF Champion Steve Austin.
However Williams got knocked out by Bart Gunn in the second round, who creative had no plans
for.
So WWF got Gunn into training fast:
"They took him off the road for months to train in boxing and turn him into a real boxer.
And then we'll put him in with Butterbean and it will put wrestling over, because we'll
have a wrestler beat a PPV guy."

Head writer at the time Vince Russo confirms this.
"With the presentation he put on in the Brawl For All, we really thought he could
have beat Butterbean, or else we wouldn't have put the guy in the ring."
Instead, Butterbean won the match in a matter of seconds by knockout.
The WWF were not expecting this to be as one-sided as it was, and were very embarrassed by the
result.
Gunn himself has said he's only seen the match once - the replay shown on the night - but
maintains that he could still beat Butterbean.
"They wouldn't let me lift weights, I dropped like 25-30 pounds.
Because of the training I was doing, I was uncomfortable, I was green.
Even before the fight I didn't feel right.
I wish I could take it back and redo the whole thing.
I'd do it my way.
Same thing might have happened, but I would have been happier."

The Gimmick Battle Royal
WrestleMania X7 is considered by many to be the best Mania of all-time.
It had a thrilling hardcore match, Vince v Shane, the end of Right to Censor, TLC 2 and
Steve Austin shaking hands with Vince McMahon to become the new WWF Champion in the main
event.
But there's another match its very notable for: the gimmick battle royal.
What's a gimmick battle royal I hear you ask?
Well, it was a self-aware poke of fun at the WWF gimmicks of old.
All the wild and wacky ones you remember from your childhood were there.
Dustbin men, clowns, repo men - who do not look like me - hockey players, racial profiling,
soldiers, turkeys, TNA creative, sailors, and - oddly - James E. Cornette.
The match also featured four men who, the year previous, had featured in a tag team
match that was so bad, Bryan Alvarez of Figure Four gave it, "minus all the stars in the
Universe, and the Universe is infinite."
The match was over before it even begun, with the entrances lasting longer than the Battle
Royal itself.
In the end, The Iron Sheik won by throwing Sgt.
Slaughter and Hillbilly Jim over the top rope.
Cornette lasted longer than Repo Man - WHO DOES NOT LOOK LIKE ME.
The original plan was for Slaughter to win, which is why at the end of the battle royal
he puts Sheik in the cobra clutch, but the master of humble had to win because he couldn't
leave his feet.
"Sheik won, literally because he may have died taking a bump over the top rope to the
outside."

Why hasn't there been another gimmick battle royal?
Surely there's a place for Matadors, Irish stereotypes, Undertaker knock-offs, pimps,
vampires and poorly thought out 50s sitcom parodies?
But with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, there probably isn't enough time on
the WrestleMania card anymore - even if it is seven hours long.
WWF vs. NFL Battle Royal
Another Battle Royal now, but one that was very different.
During the Chicago section of WrestleMania 2 - an event that took place in three different
locations - members of the NFL took on WWF wrestlers in a very publicised match, particularly
because it featured Refrigerator Jones who was a cultural icon at the time.
The match even featured Dallas Cowboy hero Too Tall Jones as a guest referee alongside
Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus.
Fun fact: Dick Butkus would go on to be a coach for the Chicago Enforcers in Vince McMahon's
XFL.
Another fun fact: Dick Butkus is a hilarious name.
Like most Battle Royals, the match was pretty slow and uninteresting, but did feature one
great spot where Big John Studd eliminated Refrigerator Jones, who then pulled him out
of the ring via a handshake.
As for the rest of the players, there isn't a whole lot to say.
Apart from about former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Ernie Holmes, who upset many
in WWF during the practice battle royal the night before.
"For whatever reason, he was mouthing off.
[Saying] wrestling is fake, and I could beat all you guys.
And Andre goes up on him and goes, "you talk too much".
They had to talk Ernie Holmes down, even though Ernie didn't back down even though [Andre
is] so big.
And some of the wrestlers go, "you don't want to mess with this guy".

All the NFL guys were just thrown out at various points and it wasn't put over on commentary,
and the final three ended up being The Hart Foundation and Andre himself.

between flat and clipless pedals.

there was hardly any difference at all.

to find out what it feels like
to go back to riding a bike like we did as kids,
with flat pedals and cool shoes.

at the bottom of the pedal stroke,
and over the top.
Even though obviously you can't pull up.
I mean, you can feel it's different,
but it certainly doesn't feel as alien
as it did for sprinting.
- Sure.
(upbeat music)
- Three, two, one, lap.
Oh, it's hard. - Yeah.
(upbeat music)
Okay, it's now my turn on the flats
and straightaway it's worth mentioning
we haven't actually adjusted our saddle height.
And I reckon there's about a centimetre or two difference
in stack height but over 10 minutes,
it shouldn't be affecting us too dramatically.
But foot placement, straightaway is absolutely crucial.

About the same average power so far.
- Cool.
- Steep, this bit, isn't it?
- My legs are hurting more this time up, so far Dan.

The descent.
Let's see how these babies feel down some hairpin bends.
- I love descending.
But, Dan, you need a lid on mate.
You can't descend - Yeah, I've got one
- But I've see this on Red Bull TV.
If you've got flat pedals and really cool shoes like this,
you need to use one of these.
- A full face helmet?
- Yeah.
- With Lycra?

- No you've got just a massive head.

- [Dan] So if some downhill mountain bikers prefer
the freedom that flat pedal give them,
could they be of any benefit to us
on road descents?
Well it is going to be a hard one to quantify,
but what we're going to do is a couple of descents
of the Valparola and see how it feels.
(rock music)
- Ow.

- Let's carve some tarmac.

- Right, the results are in,
in terms of power numbers, et cetera.
We're also going to be talking about how we felt.
So for the sprints at the start,
Matt you had a 15% greater power
when you were using clipless versus the flats,
which is quite a big difference I think you might say.
I had a 30% difference. - Wow.
- Which is an immense amount - No way.
- Yeah. But I could tell right from the very first time
at which I kicked using the clipless pedals
that I had so much more power there.
I obviously used the pulling up stroke
when I kick into sprint,
perhaps slightly more than you.
But it just goes to show you
why BMX's downhill mountain bike
is now generally preferred to use clipless pedals
for that sprint from the starter house.
- Definitely, I mean I had a bit of trouble
getting my foot in the right position.
Normally, on clipless pedals
your feet are dialled in,
you don't even have to think about it.
But my thought process
was thinking about positions of my feet
and also, because I couldn't pull up in the sprint,
I was recruiting my thighs a lot more as well.
So I felt like I was using my thighs like pistons
rather than kind of pedalling in circles,
like I'm kind of use to.
So it didn't feel too bad,
but it definitely felt different.
There was a certain level of compromise,
I just didn't feel like I was getting the power down
as I would have done with the clips.
- Yeah, you really had to concentrate.
We're obviously used to using clipless pedals now,
but even though I was consciously concentrating
on not pulling up,
there were still a couple of occasions
when I sprinted flat out
where I could feel that my foot moved
because I was pulling it up slightly.
One of my feet came off of the back end as well.
Yeah.
And then next we did the climb
and for that we tried to average about 300 watts.
Or I did, and you just rode next to me.
When I had the flats, you had the clipless
we averaged 303 watts for me, you had 315.
I got a bit excited when I put the clipless pedals back on
and networthed 305 watt average, only two watts above
and you had, of course, running 318 watts,
so you were three watts above.
The climbing, I didn't notice
much of a difference certainly
as I did on the sprint.
I'm still more comfortable, for sure,
using the clipless pedals.
It does feel like, when you're able to pull up,
it does spread the load of that 300 watt power
over far more muscle groups
and when you've just got flats
and you're only able to push down.
- Yeah I tend to agree.
I found that my thighs were getting fatigued,
although my heart rate was pretty much the same,
I felt more of an ache in my thighs.
Less recruitment of the calf muscles
than I normally would on clipless pedals.
And, the most interesting I found
was when I was riding out of the saddle,
I felt that I almost like peddling squares,
again, similar to sprinting when you're out of the saddle,
couldn't pull up at all,
so although I was delivering the power,
it was for far less of the pedal stroke,
so it was almost like pedalling and bottoming out,
so I didn't particularly like climbing out of the saddle,
but sat down wasn't too bad,
although I tended to just recruit one muscle group.
- Yeah.
Neither of us, though,
had a difference in heart rate for the two runs
which is quite interesting,
quite similar to what we found in laboratory
all those years ago.
I did find that there's
quite a lot of grip on those pedals,
although you can't pull up,
you can sort of push through the top
and scrape through the bottom of the pedal stroke
but I think that was down to my cool shoes
as much as the pedals.
And finally the descent,
which we didn't take any numbers for.
That was purely subjective feeling.
I was concentrating more on the fact
that I had a full-face helmet on.
Perhaps I should have used a normal one.
It did give me a greater sense of safety,
bit like the difference between
wearing a seatbelt in a car and not, I'd say.
- Yeah, well, I felt the same in terms of the helmet
but the pedals themselves,
the couple of corners when we banked it over,
I think you experienced this as well,
where I actually clipped the pedals
'cause they're far wider.
And actually, on one of the corners
that I didn't quite get right,
I was able to take my foot out
like a speedway rider as well,
so not a lot of difference
but just subtle nuances in terms of
your positions on the pedals
because accelerating out of some of the hairpin bends,
my feet moved which is a little bit disconcerting
so, again, I preferred descending on clipless.
- Yeah, as you said they are wider
so you are much more easily able to hit them on the floor
which could be quite dangerous.
And I think going back to the sprints,
you could feel that there was as much power
when you sprinted outside of the corners
to get back up to speed.
So I would say on descent,
I'm gonna be faster on clipless.
- [Matt] Same here.
- Right, well I don't think either of us
are going to be swapping out our clipless pedals
for these, which as you can see,
we've taken off our bikes pretty quickly
after that experiment.
You could certainly get around a sportive with them
but I definitely think it is going to be
more efficient overall,
to be using clipless pedals on a road bike
and probably for most mountain bike situations too,
although I'll leave that to GMBN.

The images of that Ricky just see it
into our memory the debris of flight
MH-17 strewn across the fields of Ukraine
a passenger jet shot out of the sky
killing 298 people 38 of the Australian
it is one of the most shocking war
crimes of modern times
All is about to hunt down the killers
but nine months on no one has been held
to account which is beyond strange
because there's plenty of evidence I
just traveled deep into Russian
controlled eastern Ukraine to conduct
our own investigation we've
painstakingly pieced together the proof
that bleeds to the very spot from where
the missile was fired and tonight we can
tell you who shot down MH-17
this is still a haunting place almost a
year after malaysia airlines flight 17
fell to earth in this corner of eastern
Ukraine the biggest pieces of wreckage
have finally been called away by Dutch
investigators but the neatly plowed
scorched earth can raise the fact that a
crime was committed here a crime that's
politically and forensically proving to
be too much hard work the truth of it is
the crash investigators from the Dutch
Safety Board have been working at a
snail's pace
the official line is that they still
can't say for sure who shot down the
plane or the wreckage may be gone but
the culprits left footprints everywhere
they went
follow those tracks and we'll find the
killers
it's a journey that will take us through
a country engulfed in a deadly civil
filming secret
detained held spots
but with the help of some 21st century
technology
and some old-fashioned detective we can
follow the path The Killers tool and
give the family's finally some answers
I feel like I need to know more
I think for my own I don't know how
would you say peace of mind peace of
mind you what are you hopeful that
people are brought to justice peace

298 passengers were on board the plane
that day including perhaps most poignant
leave all the three dazzling children from

they were innocent victims of a brutal
war between the government of Ukraine

separatists in the east of the country
who want to maintain their old links to
Russia each blames the other for
shooting down MH-17 Ukrainian Prime
Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk says the plane was
hit by a Russian surface-to-air missile
called a BUK.
Fired from the BUK of a mobile launcher
this is the crime against humanity
this is an international crime and we
need to bring these bastards to the
International Criminal Court me and says
Russian leader Vladimir Putin he climbs
this is what shot down the airline a
Ukrainian Air Force su-25 fighter back
muscles parasol system for the Russian
media it even had satellite images of
the Ukrainian fighter firing at the
Malaysia Airlines plane
but investigators have so far been
unable to decide who's telling the truth
Dutch and Australian police tunes was
stopped in their tracks by intense
fighting around the site of the crash

clues of the city
it stayed that way for months but in the
quiet English City of Leicester young

Bellingham a group of web salutes who
used publicly available information on
the internet to hunt down evidence of
war crimes the technique we use and we
quite your location geolocation is a
tool that was once only available to the
military and spy agencies
and when the Bellingcat team turned
their attention to MH-17 they uncovered a
treasure trove of videos and photographs
posted on russian and ukrainian social
media then used satellite imagery to
pinpoint the exact locations where they
were filled so for example we would have
a video and that would be something
posted on YouTube and we would then use
google earth satellite mapping to find
the exact location where this was filmed
this is such a wealth of information
such a wealth of evidence isn't it yeah
absolutely
you know the zero old expression you
know loose lips sink ships it's pretty
much the same thing people say one
innocent comment here one instant
comment there they don't think with the
amount to much but when you find all
this information you know lots and lots
of these comments that you can build a
picture from
chillin cats first Clues come from
videos posted online a month before mh
17 was shot down in a convoy of armored
vehicles from Russia's 53rd air-defense
forgotten slips out of its based in the
city of cooks and heads towards the
border with Ukraine guys that you're bad
you only one who's taking the photos in
the video in the first place
what what you generally find is just
civilians in the area they see something
interesting
they didn't think you'll be shooting
down a civilian airliner they just are
cool this looks interesting i put on my
social media account
one vehicle in his conduct he will soon
become critical in the hunt for those
who shot down in MH-17 it's a BUK
surface-to-air missile launcher its
identification number has been partly
painted over like most Russian military
vehicles sent into Ukraine to help the
rebels
we call it free x2 because you can see
the number free and you can see the
number two in the Russian video but the
middle number is obscured the where was
this photograph taken inside the talent
the nets which is separatist-controlled
and this is kind of the first image we
have of the missile launcher on the day
this picture was taken in rebel
territory just a few hours before MH-17
was shot down
it's the same song launcher film nearly
a month earlier inside Russia
so we flatten the image and make sure
the proportions were correct so
everything should be in the right
position and we overlaid it with this
image and this is from a convoy in
Russia you can see here all over them
has been painted over that the market is
actually exactly the same position and
what we have here is rubber skirt which
has a kind of a unique pattern of damage
and we can actually compare that and
show that is the same pattern of damage
from this rubber skirt that was just
like a fingerprint
next Higgins and his group pinpoint what
they believe to be the exact location
the photo was taken
starting with the distinctive volvo
truck onto which the launcher has been
loaded what we had was this phone number
so what we did we found the exact
location of the entrance to this yard
and we used a route finding website to
calculate the fastest route from here to
the next known point we have and we fold
the roots long-armed google street view
it's like just driving down the road and
eventually we came to this point and
what we could do then combine and
compare elements in this photograph two
elements in the actual love photographed
from the parts all the lines yet the
fries or matching in the same position
most importantly though the actual
branches on the trees and the two images
were in the same positions
it looks like the same place that the
Russian separatists and their Kremlin
masters claim all these pictures are
fakes
there's only one way to find out for
sure
we're heading back into war on eastern
Ukraine to follow the path of the buck
missile launcher wherever it leads
getting across the border into the
self-declared People's Republic of
Donetsk it's frustrating and sometimes
dangerous journey through rebel
checkpoints ruined roads fierce fighting
continues despite a ceasefire agreement
signed by both sides
we've hidden cameras in parts of the van
but we've barely cross the board when we
hit troop
a Russian separatists checkpoint where
ordered out of our fan and search within
the gunman find one of our hidden
cameras are you turn on when you picked

unmarked secret police building and

button those answers have proved elusive
until now we finally reached the Nets
the capital of the Russian separatist
territory now we set out to discover
whether the back missile was here on the
day
MH-17 was shot down and sure enough
the trees have lost their leaves but
there's no doubt it's a match
so this is on the first images we had we
had this missile launch on the back of
this truck has a white cabin that yellow
sign on the side this is the same
transport vehicle we saw time and time
again the photo was taken around nine
thirty in the morning on july
seventeenth last year just seven hours
before the Malaysia Airlines plane is
attacked
two hours later the missile launcher is
seen again
it's in a town called arez and the
launcher is heading east further into
rebel territory
we easily find the spot that we've been
sprung
it's not gonna hurt i'll show you when
Came two weeks ago
that's what is going on what did he say
he sees no reasons for filming over here
and I cannot explain what we are filming

missile launcher to be battle ready for
it to launch its missiles it has to be
off the truck so it unloads the crew
take control and the launcher is last
seen under its own power hitting South
out of this town got the video / heading
south time is nothing out there but
fields so why would be heading out of
town for anything but being being ready
to fire
we can track where the missile launcher
goes now because when it fires it will
leave a telltale trail of smoke
photograph by a witness and posted on
Twitter just three hours later
Eliot Higgins and several other analysts
use the photo you to pinpoint the source
of the smoke tribe first finding
identifiable landmarks which they match
with the satellite imagery then
inserting the skyline of the photo the
blue lines represent the frame of
picture the redline points to the base
of the smoke trap
we can see where the smoke is coming
from i just placed I ready at that field
as we near the field we passed the
tell-tale signs of an abandoned guard
post we're on the right track
This Is It this is the field where the
missile was launched the burn marks on
the ground have been raised by winter
and plowing but this is where the
missile launcher rolled along here kind
of stopped locked on its target the
Malaysian Airlines jet and fired
the passengers aboard MH-17 probably
never knew what hit them
the impact of the BUK missile would
have been immediate and devastating
would a buk missile cause this sort of
damage and the damage that were saying
on the Malaysian Airlines jet
yes it would look something like this in
his crash investigation lab in England
renowned ballistics expert Professor Ian
horse phul has studied the pattern of
damage inflicted on MH-17 trapdoor marks
clearly evidence when we filmed the
wreckage at the crash site
I would suspect the warhead went off
maybe 10 meters from the from the
aircraft
except throws a flat disk and fragments
of the butterflies through if it was as
the Russians have suggested a fighter
jet and attacking that passenger
aircraft what would the damage look like
well in that case we'd have to look
something more like that and so that's a
panel it's been hit by projectiles right
sort of size no wonder the damage
doesn't match that extraordinary
satellite picture produced by the
russian media of a fighter jet attacking
the airliner is in fact a crude fake
stitched together from Google Earth
images and not even featuring the right
planes
so with that theory in tatters the
Russians of cobbled together another
explanation if it was the BUK missile
there it was launched by the Ukrainian
army not by the russian-backed rebels
and here's the Russia's top generals is
the proof home video of the BUK taken
in a town occupied by the Ukrainian
government
you can be looking a little of these
pictures done in the city of Chris army
that is confirmed by a manner that is
situated close to the road but that's
not truth our geolocation experts have
tracked down land box indicating the
video was shot nearly 200 kilometers
from the government hill town named by
the Russians so there's a bit of a rise
which is here right 350 should be on the
other side of this 300 just sit here
well the Russians are lying and here's
the proof we found the billboard in the
video and it's here in the city of Lance
Krait in the middle of separatist held
territory the missile launcher is headed
down the road toward the Russian border
the crew is just hours from home that
image is extremely crucial because it
also shows doesn't it
one missile missing that's correct i'm
pretty certain that didn't fall for the
road somewhere that's been launched
so a Russian missile launcher from
Russia's 53rd air defense brigade
returns to its base inside Russian it is
unbelievable to think that that missile
launcher on that day was manned and
crewed by armed peasant farmers I think
it's very likely that it would have been
operated by Russian soldiers it just
doesn't seem likely that they would have
you know driving up to the border
dropped off here's the keys off you go
i just press that burnt or she just
doesn't make sense
the evidence proves that a Russian
missile shot down a defenseless
passenger plane with 38 Australians
onboard the ultimate responsibility lies
not with the young soldiers who fired
the weapon but with the man who put them
there man who almost certain he never be
held to account for the crime.

quadratic equations, or
Quadratic equation is very simple one where we have a square of the unknown which means we are working
with an x square not just an x
the Latin Word for letters means Square
So a general quadratic equation is ax square plus Bx plus C is equal to zero
Where a is not equal to zero?
Now the solution with this is pretty complicated
This is the answer
Let's take a simple example and try and work out. I'm a comprehensible way of looking at it
Take the equation x squared plus 6x is equal to 27
let's try and solve it if x is equal to 1 then 1 plus 6 is not equal to 27, so
1 is not the solution if x is 2
Then 4 Plus 12 which is not equal to 27 so 2 is not the solution
We could keep going like this, but let's look at it differently
think of the first term as the area of a square with Side x
now the 6x is the area for rectangle with the sides of Stakes and x
Or we can split it up into two rectangles. Where one side is x and the other side is three
Now if we attach the rectangles onto the square will produce an area which is equivalent to x square plus 6x
Now according to your opening equation. This is equal to 27 quite right 27
Now look at the missing corner aren't you eating to fill it with another square? Go ahead and do that?
this square with a side of 3 and so our square has an area of 9
We need to add this to both sides
now the right hand side is a square with a side measuring x plus 3 so we can write the equation as
X plus 3 whole square is equal to 27 plus 9 which is equal to 36
Now the whole complexity of the quadratic has benign dark haven't it now very simply x plus 3 is equal to 6 which means
x is Equal to 3
This solution was actually suggested by al-khwarizmi and what completes its elegance
Is that it can be used as a solution for any quadratic equation I?
Need to add in just one point that al-khwarizmi missed when we look at the square root of 36
both Plus 6 and minus 6 are possibilities

Let's look at a concrete example
2 x Cube plus 3 x square plus x plus 1 is equal to 0 how can we solve this?
if x is 1
Then 2 Plus 3 plus 1 plus 1 is not equal to 0 so 1 is not the solution
If x is 2 then 16 plus 12 plus 2 plus 1 which is not equal to 0 so 2 is not the solution

Neil Donoghue's Canyon Exceed For The Dolomiti Super Bike | GMBN Pro Bikes - Duration: 3:04.
- In this Pro Bike Check, I'm gonna talk you through my
Canyon Exceed cross country bike.
(driving music)
So I'm racing this bike here at the Super Bike Dolomiti
which is 113 kilometres long,
almost 3.5 thousand metres climbing,
but this bike does have a lot of pedigree
in marathon cross country racing.
Alban Lakata recently won the marathon cross country
world champs on this very bike.
So this is the Exceed CF SLX.
A carbon fiber frame, it's got 29 inch wheels.
Lots of neat touches on this frame.
You've got bump stop up on the top tube just to stop
those bars spinning and your levers damaging
that top tube at all.
All internal routing, and there's 142 mil spacing
on the bolt through on the rear.
The frame is super light weight.
Weighs in at less than 900 grammes.
So, up to the controls, more carbon fiber here.
I've got these PRO-Tharsis cross country bars.
5 mil of rise on these, and 720 mil wide.
I'm gonna be on this bike for a long time,
so I've definitely thought about the comfort.
I've got these Ergon grips.
They're nicely tapered,
to try to keep my hand as comfortable and stop them
getting sore over that big race.
Shimano XTR brakes with 180 rotor on the front and 160 rear.
And I'm running 2X gears, so it's the only bike
I've actually got 2X on just so I've got that
big range of gears.
I've got PRO-Tharsis cross country stem on there, which is 90 mil.
I'm gonna be running a computer on that stem
just to keep on eye on how far I've gone
and things like that.
Fox 32 up front, a cross country fork, obviously.
I've got the FSA K-Force Light wheels,
those carbon fibre rims, bladed spokes,
really, light set of wheels.
I'm running on Continental X-King tyres,
2.2 wide RaceSport edition.
I've chosen them because they've still got a bit of
tread on there, I didn't want to go too low profile
like the Race Kings cause we might
be riding some loose terrain.
But still a really super fast tyre.
Got about 30 psi front and rear.
Gears-wise, I've got that 2X like I mentioned,
28-38 up front, and an 11-40 on the rear.
Cranks are 175 mil long and I'm running those
Crank Brothers Candy 7 pedals, so all that really nice
neat internal routing comes out right in front of that
front and back, which is Shimano XTR.
Again, same on the rear.
I'm running this Topeak Ninja TC Mountain bottle cage.
Obviously, I'll to to drink, but also see how it's
got that multi-tool built into the bottom there,
so just in case any emergencies while I'm riding,
I've got tools on me.
I've got the Crank Brothers Cobalt 11 carbon fiber seat post
and on the saddle, again, I've gone for a more
comfortable choice here.
I've actually changed the saddle for this
Ergon SMC3-M, which is a sort of marathon
comfort-edition saddle, so I don't really get
sore if I'm on this bike for a long time.
