Movie Flops That Hollywood Was Sure Would Be A Hit - Duration: 5:53.

There's nothing quite like the anticipation of a multi-mega-million-dollar movie making

its theatrical debut… and nothing like the agony of watching it go down in flames.

Not every big-budget Hollywood blockbuster makes bank at the box office, and sometimes,

studios guess wrong about what will and will not perform.

Here are some of the films that have been surprising disappointments.

47 Ronin

With a large budget, a reliable kung fu fighter as its star, and a plot that included both

samurais and dragons, 47 Ronin was supposed to be the kind of action-packed blockbuster

that makes for a reliable end-of-year hit.

Unfortunately, the behemoth of a movie turned out to be too unwieldy for its first-time

director, Carl Rinsch.

Plagued by problems and requiring extensive reshoots, it was delayed by more than a year—and

despite the biggest, best Christmas push the studio could muster, 47 Ronin only made $38

million in the US, far short of its $175 million budget.

John Carter

The insanely high expectations for this tragic bomb of a movie may just be one of Hollywood's

great mysteries—because in hindsight, its belly-flop at the box office should've been

a foregone conclusion.

Taylor Kitsch was a popular cast member on Friday Night Lights prior to being cast as

John Carter's main character, but he was hardly a bankable star for a $250 million dollar

space opera.

But that's exactly what Disney did—and the problems were compounded by one of the most

grossly mishandled marketing campaigns in the history of cinema.

Ultimately, John Carter was an earth-shattering disappointment that left the studio with a

whopping $177 million dollar loss in the US before turning a small profit internationally.

Still, it wasn't enough to keep the too-hopeful franchise afloat.

Battleship

The "you sunk my Battleship" jokes write themselves when it comes to this $300 million albatross.

Battleship had all the makings of a big summer blockbuster, with a cast of well-muscled dudes

steering the ship, and high hopes of leveraging the same '80s-kid nostalgia that made the

Transformers franchise such a giant moneymaker.

"Missiles good to go, let's light 'em up."

But at the box office, Battleship suffered from stiff competition from The Avengers,

bad press, and a bad reputation for leading man Taylor Kitsch, who you might remember

from his mention 55 seconds ago.

Although the movie made back its production budget once it hit international waters, it

still left Universal taking an $83 million dollar bath.

"Negative sir, it's a miss."

The Lone Ranger

Before Johnny Depp's personal reputation started to sour, his professional presence was supposed

to be a reliable predictor of a film's success.

So, with him sharing the lead, Disney pegged The Lone Ranger movie as a big moneymaker

at the outset, pumping north of $215 million into the production.

But even once it became clear that The Lone Ranger wasn't going to break any box office

records, its ultimate losses were wildly unexpected.

The film ultimately didn't even make back half of its budget in the US due to dismal

audience interest.

"Okay, don't come see if I care."

The cast and crew blamed unfair reviews for quashing ticket sales, but others pointed

to the whitewashing and stereotyping of its Native American character Tonto as troublesome.

"Perhaps you want to make it look like Comanche violated treaty."

Ender's Game

Based on a classic science fiction novel by Orson Scott Card, set in outer space, and

with a cast that included up-and-comer Asa Butterfield and everyone's favorite star warrior

Harrison Ford, Ender's Game was a movie with seriously high hopes.

But despite the box-office promise of a big-budget movie about teen soldiers battling hostile

aliens while the fate of the earth hangs in the balance, Ender's Game was plagued by issues,

including the effects of a boycott from groups who were angered by the author's stance on

same-sex marriage.

Between the bad press stemming from that and mixed reviews from critics, it ended up barely

recouping its $115 million budget.

Fantastic Four

After a slightly cheesy but successful pair of Fantastic Four films rocked the box office

in the early 2000s, a fresh round of films featuring Marvel's first family seemed like

just the thing for an up-and-coming director.

Josh Trank, who'd done great things with the found-footage thriller Chronicle, was tapped

to helm the pic, with a promising young cast in tow.

Producers were counting on the foursome to become the next big thing in superhero ensembles,

alongside the X-Men and the Avengers.

What they weren't counting on, unfortunately, was for Trank to clash with the studio and

behave so erratically on set that Fox felt compelled to reshoot huge portions of the

movie after the fact.

The finished product was ghastly by all accounts… which makes it unsurprising that the film

took in only $26.2 million on its opening weekend and $168 million worldwide, against

an estimated $200 million production and marketing budget.

Jupiter Ascending

After The Matrix, everyone was on pins and needles to find out what wild new world the

Wachowskis had cooked up with Jupiter Ascending.

The film had all the ingredients of success, including two of the coolest kids in Hollywood,

Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, in the lead.

This story of a cleaning lady who learns she's the heir apparent to an intergalactic empire

had the full force and faith of big money behind it, to the tune of a $176 million production

budget.

"And you begged me to do it."

But the Wachowskis reportedly overspent on the film, test audiences were unimpressed,

and the critical reception was extremely chilly—all adding up to a worldwide take of $184 million

that didn't compensate for the massive budget and marketing costs of the picture.

Mars Needs Moms

If you've never heard of Mars Needs Moms... lucky you!

The name is a pun of "Mars Needs Women" a 60's Sci-Fi b-movie that was just as bad as

this one.

On paper, it had all the makings of a hit, including fresh visuals thanks to advanced

motion-capture technology, and a family-bonding plotline with a cool alien twist.".

But nobody could've anticipated what an unmitigated disaster the release would be.

Not counting the cost of marketing, Mars Needs Moms cost $150 million to make —and even

with international ticket sales, its total revenue was just shy of $39 million, making

this film a planet-sized flop for Disney.

The first sermon of an atheist priest. The confessions of a former Romanian orthodox priest. - Duration: 16:49.

For eleven years

I was a priest in the Romanian Orthodox Church

Serving in many churches, in Buzau and Vrancea

When I became a priest I was just a child.

After my first few confessions I started to mature

After my first few funerals I became numb and hardened

I had a stable, secure job. I was well respected.

But I was in the middle of a tremendous contradiction

And one day. I decided to stop.

I cannot prove to anybody that...

That there isn't something greater than us out there, a God.

But for myself I can always...

I can always prove to myself, that the God I was supposed to serve...

He doesn't exist.

And after so many years in which...

I took an important part in this entire religious phenomenon

And I maintained it.

But I was left with a simple conclusion.

The first sermon of an atheist priest

When I first started on this path of theology.

Over 2 decades ago

I was very faithful

I didn't really know what my religion contained, only vaguely

But I truly believed in it, it was how I was raised up.

Soon though...

After starting to grasp what it was that I believed in

I started to be much more restrained in my beliefs

Starting from my second year of schooling

It stopped seeming reasonable that the reason why people are dying

Because someone once bit on an apple

A few thousands years ago

Or any such things

I think it was then, during my second year of my religious studies, that I first started to be met up with a lack of belief

Although, as time went on, I was still left with a certainty that I carried with me into my priesthood.

And that certainty was Jesus.

Maybe that the stories of the Old Testament contradict each other, or are childish, or...

They ended up in there from other religious beliefs

But there's no way for Jesus to not have existed or meant anything

I now realize that I was already contradicting myself

Because religion is part of a whole

If a piece of this whole falls, so does the whole thing

There no was for it to remain truthful, or godly

If you cant believe that...

Noah gathered together all the animals

And put them in a boat

We can stop here, the rest stops being relevant

I kept clinging on somehow to Jesus

Keeping my yes shut, ignoring the whole. That is how I started my priesthood.

I remember even now..

At the start of my seminar

My hands were trembling on the bible, every time I opened it.

How I ended up resigning, after over a decade

And to my book, The confessions of an atheist priest

I kept asking myself, and i think there were many factors that contributed

Of which two were the decisive ones

The first of which was my in depth studies into old Greek

Language I ended up teaching at the same seminar I graduated from

It was exactly my studies into ancient texts

Which made me look at the bible with new eyes

Different from the way I was taught

In theology school

And that's how I arrived to the fundamental conclusion that lead to my current views.

Ancient literature stores between the lines, the level of mental development of the people writing it.

And the bible does the same

Being a collection of texts written across a big time period

From it's start to it's end

Similar themes and ideas ended up completely contradicting each other, as human society evolved.

What I'm trying to say is

The Bible's message

Is not coherent or consistent from start to finish

Sometimes...

It is actually far from being human or humane

Not to even mention it being godly.

There are things that anybody can easily check for themselves. It's enough to open a Bible

They would have to read it with their own eyes

Not with preconceived notions.

The decisive factor however, was a moment in my own life.

I had already been a priest for many years.

I was in America attending some courses

In the New York Library

I was looking specifically into the early years of Christianity

It was only then. After so many years of orthodox education

That Jesus didn't even invent the Eucharist.

The ritual of the sharing of the bread

It was simply...

It was an usual practice in the Judaism traditions of the time

Jesus was just taking part in it, the same as any other Jew

I had been a priest for so many years

And taken so many courses and I still had no idea of this fact.

I had studied just that which had been assigned to me as part of my religion studies

And I have only read Orthodox literature.

That's when it finally clicked for me

How can I return to the many people of my congregation

And tell them of Jesus inventing the Eucharist, the sharing of the bread, when it wasn't true.

How could I go and tell grieving parents

That the reason why their child died is because of a bite of an apple thousands of years ago

And how could I keep lying to myself, for the rest of my life.

Maybe some will blame me

That I even accepted to share such thoughts

But it's not my fault that Jesus wasn't the one that founded the Eucharist

The fact that I tell people such things

Which anyone can check and prove wrong. Means that I am the one that's wrong.

Wouldn't I have been more wrong to have kept believing, and kept preaching?

Things I could no longer believe in.

What comes hardest to me

Now that I resigned from priesthood.

Is the links I had lost with people I held dear

People which had respected me

Much more than I would've deserved.

People which myself I had respected, maybe more than I was able to show.

And people I was very close to, even beyond my priesthood.

And some of them were intellectuals

People which admitted after the fact that they would've accepted me even as an atheist.

To openly lack faith, as long as I kept being their priest.

What can we replace religions with?

How do we know in which direction things would go in a world without God

Without the existence of and almighty being that would force us into being good

We can see however that the answer has already been provided by our 21st century world

From the western world

The people which had already achieved a high level of living

Although they no longer find themselves following any religion

And the churces are being bought and rented

Those people still live so peacefully and prosperously

And they become involved and volunteer with so many great causes

Of course, I'm just offering a simple generalisation

And that they don't all live like that

But these Westerners, no matter what you call them, agnostics, atheists, gay or whatever else.

They offer us a great lession

They do good for no reason

They become involved in humanitarian causes

Without expecting any divine reward or recognition

Whilst our so called Christians do nothing

Or just very few

And though this they end up contradicting

The very goodness and humanity that they claim to be theirs

I cannot prove to anybody that there isn't something greater than us out there, a God.

But for me, it is easy to prove that the God I have served does not exist.

And after so many years

In which I took part in, continuing and maintaining this religious phenomenon

I am left with a simple conclusion

I don't know and neither do I want to know

Another cult or religion, or any other stake to motivate humanity but this:

Which is also the creed on which my book is based.

A bet with your own person

That you will always strive to and keep evolving and getting better

To become more intelligent

To improve your understanding of the world, of why you're alive and so on

But not through mythology

But through science and technology

By deciphering this world we live in

All the answers and solutions to our illnesses and struggles are right here

In us and in the world around us

This is where you find both cancer and ebola

To not go and look for answers and solutions in other worlds

Help me Brahma... or Allah to save my child

When the answers have been here all along. Why?

Because we belong to this world

You might only truly come to grasp that which I'm telling you now

Only when life will put you against insurmountable odds

Only when you'll be desperately racing with your sick child in your arms to find a cure

And he would be digging his weak fingers into your flesh, wanting to keep on living

What if you won't be able to do anything to help.

Only in that moment of unimaginable powerlessness

That which as a priest I have come to know from so many souls

Only then, maybe, will you realize I was right

The reason why I arrived to my conclusion

Of honesty and sincerity

To let go of my priesthood and of my cozy life

And why I got to what I believe now

Only then, maybe, you would've wished for hospitals and research institutes

In the place of the hundreds of Churches

Built up, refurbished, rebuilt in the last few years

Only from the selfish ambition of some priests that competed against each other

Churches which now lay empty as there are not enough people to use them.

If in the future.

The Church won't assume responsibility

For it's tremendous social impact

No matter how much cement they might pour into it, it would still collapse

When you

Leader of such a big institution

Because it wasn't the decision of use lowly priests

You start such grandiose and costly projects

Knowing that in this world there are millions of people

Which live and die in poverty. Even in our own country, there are children that crawl into a ball at night from cold and hunger

When you make such a decision

You are morally adrift

I have only done a simple act of self honesty

I ask

If tomorrow, all people which know inside themsleves

That they are serving false interests

And this puts them in a conflict against their own being

If they were to be just as honest with themselves as I was with myself

By tomorrow, this whole world would be completely different

The would we know now, would no longer exist

But I could never have forgiven myself for having not done what I did

I saw way too many people

Be lost and wasted in meaninglessness

And way to many defeated and lost humans

To have accepted

So much meaninglessness and wasted potential in my own life and coming to peace with it

If we were to free our minds

Where would we be now

This thought intrigues me tremendously

If we were to sit down and think

And be put face to face with our own limits

I wonder what great heights could we reach

Five-Eighths In Honor – Sweet Cigarette

I was not yet outside today

the world, it frightens me

you say – come on, get lost

I'm already thinking that for days

I don't know why you always affront me like that,

if you like one of a kind

let's chill, get involved

instead to stress everybody unnecessarily

I won't go outside today

I'm out and not in

nobody would greet me today

this would not make any sense today

nobody knows you when you're down and out,

if you know what I mean

so, let's chill, get involved

antisocialised in Vienna

oh, let's smoke another sweet cigarette

come on, you roll it – what does the world cost?

communication breakdown, that's the trick

the pizza is already ordered

if I'm lying, I'm lying quite honest

honestly, what is there to do?

chillout – this is the name of my alley

there I live pretty much at the beginning

my roommate, yes, is called paranoia

my best friend, he and I

cool down, and get involved

from today on, neuroses are in

oh, let's smoke another sweet cigarette

come on, you roll it – what does the world cost?

communication breakdown, that's the trick

the pizza is already ordered

oh, let's smoke another sweet cigarette

come on, you roll it – what does the world cost?

communication breakdown, that's the trick

the pizza is already ordered

oh, let's smoke another sweet cigarette

come on, you roll it – what does the world cost?

communication breakdown, that's the trick

the pizza is already ordered

oh, let's smoke another sweet cigarette

come on, you roll it – what does the world cost?

communication breakdown

Let's Explore: Snorkeling, storms & sunsets | Ishigaki, Okinawa! - Duration: 10:08.

Morning, guys!

It is another beautiful day here in Ishigaki, Okinawa.

Today's plan is to go to A&W for breakfast, because, um, Japan's mainland doesn't have

A&W and nor does New Zealand, so this is kind of like my last chance to get it, and it's

really good and Leina really loved it, so we're gonna go do that for breakfast.

Then we're gonna go to Yonehara Beach, which is apparently one of the best snorkeling beaches,

not just in Ishigaki, but in all of Okinawa, so I'm really really excited about that, I

love snorkeling so much.

And then I don't know what we're going to do in like the afternoon time, but in the

evening I've heard about a beach called Fusaki Beach, that apparently is one of the best

places to view sunsets in Ishigaki.

So that's today's plan, let's see how much of it I mess up!

We made it to A&W so the first part of our plan is complete, yay!

We're at Yonehara Beach, and I don't know if you guys could tell from the footage from

the way over here, but there's a pretty decent storm happening right now.

There's some thunder, there's some lightning, there's a little bit of rain, but you know,

it's fine.

The beach is beautiful and we're gonna go for a snorkel!

We just finished snorkeling at Yonehara, and

it was amazing.

I hope you guys have seen some awesome fish footage before this.

Now we are going to head out to have some lunch and then hopefully see a sunset.

So here we are having the lunch of champions, as in two instant noodle bowls, we have Okinawan

soba, and apparently pork bone noodles.

I don't really know, but anyway, here we are.

Lunch time.

Woooow!

So it is evening now, and we're about to go sunset hunting and to have some yakiniku for

dinner.

Yum!

Pretty excited.

We found ourselves a cute little yakiniku place, so let's eat.

Itadakimasu!

We found ourselves a place to watch the sunset and have some drinks.

Woooo, look at this view!

Hey guys, so you know it's been pretty stormy all day, and now it's super cloudy, so the

sunset isn't exactly what we were hoping it would be, so shitty sunset timelapse, go!

My final meal in Ishigaki, this is pork tamago don, with tsukemono and some miso soup!

And Leina's final meal, which is Okinawan tofu, and rice, miso soup and some more tsukemono.

Okay guys, so it is our final morning in Ishigaki and we're just about to head to the airport.

It's been absolutely amazing to be here, it's just another Okinawan island, just like Miyakojima

but a little different.

I really feel like I didn't have enough time here to like fully experience it, but that's

just how it worked out, and the weather was a little wild as you've probably seen, but

we actually still got everything that we had planned done, which is really awesome.

So I hope that you guys have enjoyed the footage from the last two Ishigaki videos, I'm probably

going to put up like a full snorkeling video just because I have so much footage from snorkeling

and I know a lot of people won't be interested in watching it, so I'm gonna put that up separately.

Okay, I hope that you guys have liked these videos and I will talk to you next time.

Peace!

I'm often asked why I became a writer and I've yet to find a satisfactory answer

except to say, "I am who I am and Jo March has always wanted to write."

This is Meg: the oldest then look practical of the March girls. We all looked up to Meg

because she always seemed so responsible.

This is Amy the youngest and as she likes to remind us the prettiest. that's

And that's our Beth. So sweet, so kind, and gentle but also so shy she

was content never to leave the house or her piano she didn't need to.

We all adored Beth, but her frail health and timid manner were a concern for the family.

And this is Jo.

Undoubtedly the most troubling of the March sisters.

We had always called our mother Marmee for as far back as I can remember. She was the most unselfish

woman I've ever known. Everyone in town admired her and we all

thought she was the most splendid mother in the world.

Mrs. Hannah, our housekeeper, our cook, our Rock of Gibraltar. She had been with us since Meg was a baby.

Aunt March was our father's aunt and she was extremely rich and extremely unpleasant.

She was widowed and childless and rarely left her big house on the hill

due to her many "ailments".

She did hire me as companion when father left for the war.

So it was my job to read to her and be at her beck and call.

And this was our life...

filled with new love...

drama...

and sometimes sadness.

For we were the Little Women.

Hey guys, Bryan here with WP Cupid Blog and today I'm going to be showing you how to

start a WordPress website from scratch step by step.

The process is going to be quick and easy.

In this video I'm going to be going over 4 different steps to get a WordPress website

started with the #1 recommended hosting provider straight from WordPress.org.

The hosting provider is Bluehost.

Step 1 is how to sign up for an account with Bluehost, step 2 is choosing a hosting package,

step 3 is registering a domain name, and then step 4 is installing wordpress on Bluehost.

I've provided a link in the description below if you want to follow along with me

in the video.

The cool thing about the link provided below is you will get a discount.

You'll get a free domain name with your hosting package.

Some awesome features you will get with Bluehost's hosting is a 1 click WordPress install, 24/7

support from Bluehost, and a 30 day money back guarantee.

You'll also receive over $150 in advertising offers from Google and Bing.

Bluehost is one of the top web hosting providers and is the #1 recommended hosting provider

by wordpress.org.

Bluehost also powers over 2 million websites worldwide.

Feel free to walk through the steps with me to start your WordPress website on Bluehost.

Before we get started a little disclosure the link is an affiliate link.

I'll receive a commission which helps support this channel and helps us put out WordPress

tutorial videos on a regular basis.

Let's get started.

First thing you want to do is head on over to bluehost.

I've provided the link in the description below so that you can get your free domain

name discount.

You'll see the get started now button on the page.

Click the button.

This is where you can select your hosting plan.

You'll see three different options.

You'll see a Basic plan, Plus plan, and a Prime plan.

I recommend going with the basic plan and then you can always scale up whenever you'd

like.

If you have more than one website then you'd want to choose either the plus plan or prime

plan.

I'm going to choose the basic plan for this tutorial as this is most common.

Go ahead and hit the select button on whichever plan you would like to use.

We are now brought to a domain page where we can choose the domain name that we want

completely free.

Or if you already have a domain name you'd enter it in over on the right.

For the new domain you can select if you want it to be a .com, .net, .org, etc…

.com is the most popular domain extension so I'd recommend going with a .com if you

can.

I'm going to type in a domain here and click the next button.

You are now brought to a create your account page.

This is where you will input your information.

We have first name, last name.

Business name is optional.

Put your country address information.

Put a phone number and lastly the best email for you as you'll get emailed a receipt

of payment and a copy of your login credentials, etc.

Below that you will see package information.

You'll see account plan.

This is where you can select the term for your hosting package.

You have 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months, and 60 months.

As you can see you'll save money the longer you purchase your hosting for.

I'm going to select the 12 months package.

Setup fee is free.

Domain is free.

You'll see site back up pro.

You can unselect this as there are free backup plugins you can use for your WordPress website.

Search Engine jumpstart you can keep unselected.

This isn't necessary to have.

Sitelock security find is security for your WordPress website and protects it from hackers.

I'd unselect this as there are really good free alternatives.

As you can see your saving a lot for this hosting package.

Below that you will input your payment infromation.

I'm not going to fill this out for protection of personal information.

Once your information you want to select the I have read and agreed to Bluehost's privacy

policy and terms of service.

Now click the submit button.

You are now brought to a confirmation page.

Bluehost is also going to at this time email your dashboard login information.

You might need to pause the video while you wait for the email to come in.

Now we need to login to the bluehost dashboard.

You can click the link they gave you or just go to bluehost's website and up at the top

you will see login.

Click login.

Enter your account credentials and click submit.

Once you do that you'll be in the bluehost hosting home dashboard as you can see here.

Scroll down a bit till you see website and then under that section you will see install

WordPress.

Click install wordpress.

You should now see do it yourself free and on the right hand side you will see the install

button.

Go ahead and click install.

Once you do that you will see a select which domain you would like to install to.

So select the domain you want to use for this and where you see the directory part next

to it just leave that blank and click the check domain button.

It's now going to check your domain name.

This could take a few minutes so just be patient.

Once that is done you will see the last step.

You want to select show advanced options.

You will see where you can change the site name or title.

You want to put the name of your site here.

You will see admin username.

If you need to change that you can.

Under that you will see your password listed.

Feel free to change it to a password that you would like too.

Select the box that says automatically create a new database for this installation.

Make sure you select I have read the terms and conditions.

Click the install button now.

Now you'll see a page or a popup saying we're setting up WordPress for you.

Just be patient.

You'll see a progress bar at the top showing the progress of the WordPress installation.

Once it is done it will say your install is complete.

Click on the view credentials link.

It will now give you the url of your website, the login url for WordPress to make edits

to your site along with your username and password.

Go ahead and click on the admin url link.

Put the username and password in.

And click the login button.

And you will now be in the WordPress dashboard where you can start creating your WordPress

website by adding pages, blog posts, etc…

Up at the top you will see your site title.

Click that or hover over it to where it says view site and click on it and you can view

your site as you can see here.

What you see here is the demo default theme for WordPress.

If you go to the site themeforest.

They have hundreds of premium pre-made themes for every industry.

So if you don't have a lot of knowledge in design you can easily find a cheap theme

put together really well here.

I provided the link in the description below.

If you decide to go with a premium theme you can email us or send us a message on Facebook

and we will setup your theme like the demo content and give you all the plugins you need

to have a successful site completely free.

Our email is provided in the description below along with our Facebook info.

And that is how to start a website on WordPress step by step.

Alright guys, thanks for watching.

Why I make Paper Crane Origami Earrings - documentary - Duration: 4:38.

Hey guys, it's Kat

Today, I wanted to share a slightly different kind of video for you.

I've been making these earrings

I don't know if you've ever noticed them, but they're paper crane earrings

And so I started an etsy store about a month or two ago

Because lots of people were like, "You should make them and start an Etsy store!"

Thank you so much to the people who have already bought these earrings and have left me amazing reviews.

I really appreciate them.

My friend Rachel offered to make a documentary for me on these earrings and on my Etsy store

And so here it is check it out...

One ... two ... three ... four ...

🎼🎶🎵

I do remember folding origami when I was a kid and growing up in Japan.

For me it's my heritage.

My grandmother really loved origami.

Her room had all these beautifully handcrafted things so even though I don't remember ever doing origami with her,

I know that she was very good with her hands. She really is truly a creative person.

The Crane is really the standard for origami.

It's not the easiest to fold, but it's still the standard,

and it really means a lot to Japanese people because in a way it's almost like the national bird.

I don't know if you've heard the story, but in Hiroshima after the nuclear bomb there was a little girl

who was ten years old and dying of Leukemia and she made her goal to fold

a thousand of these cranes. It gave her hope that she would get better. It's such a beautiful story of hope.

Ever since then it's become a very famous story throughout the world.

Paper cranes symbolize hope and peace, and I love that.

I didn't really think to make jewelry until the last couple of years.

I love music, and I love touring. I love playing shows. And now the things are getting more and more digital

I've been selling less and less CD's at shows, and so I've been trying to be creative in

making tangible things.

I think I saw some paper crane earrings at a Japanese festival a few years ago

and I was just so inspired by them it was so beautiful and

wondered how I could maybe make something that was unique to me and to my background so I decided to

Make picks out a Vinyl records

So I'd go to thrift stores

And I was looking for vinyl and that's when I found beautiful sheet music as soon as I saw this tiny paper I envisioned

these

musically inspired

Japanese paper crane earrings

Even though paper crane earrings are not necessarily original,

it's nice that I can personalize it into something that is of me and to take a passion that I have, and

a hobby that I've always had, and to turn it into something that

other people can enjoy is really special to me.

Yay!

Thanks for watching this far.

If you liked this video make sure you give it a like or thumbs up

and share it with other origami enthusiasts or other earring loving type people.

Also, if you're interested in my Etsy store, there is a link below. You can go check that out.

Thanks again for watching. There's a new music video coming really really soon.

I'm so excited. It's going to be my very first single off the new album

Yay, so anyway. I'll be back soon with some more deets on that. Yeah!

Bye guys!

QUICK UPDATE! (I'm still alive!) - Duration: 2:43.

Hey guys, just wanted to do a quick update video for you, I'm going to try to do it one-take,

or as close to one-take as I can, so I can get it up quickly.

Sorry if the camera is wiggly; it's handheld and my arm gets tired quickly [laughs], but

I'm trying not to be a floating head.

Just wanted to say hi; wanted to let you know I am still alive.

Life's been really busy the last couple of weeks, and I haven't been able to do a lot

of filming or editing or anything like that, much less posting videos for you.

I know I haven't been-- I haven't posted anything in a week or two.

But I just wanted to come on and say I am still alive...

I'm hoping to film a happy mail video today; I've had a package of happy mail sitting here

in my apartment for about a week and a half now, because I haven't had time to film and

I wanted to open it on camera.

So I'm hoping to do that today, because I'm excited about what's in it, I just haven't

actually looked at it yet! [laughs]

But I also wanted to come on here and just ask...

I do have a few videos in the pipeline that I have filmed earlier this month before things

got busy, but I haven't got a chance to even edit them, much less post them.

I do have a project share that I'll put up, but I also have about four hauls - I have

a couple of dollar store, and Walmart, and Staples... some of that's all together in

one haul... and then there's a Home Outfitters and a Michaels haul - and they were all done,

like, the beginning to the middle of July; like I said things have been busy in the last half of the month.

But I wanted to know if you guys were still interested in seeing those, because if you're

not, I'm not going to bother editing them and posting them if no one's gonna watch 'em.

I'd like to share them, I think I found some cute stuff, um... my hands are really shaky...

but I just wanted to see if you guys were interested.

So let me know in the comments if you were still interested in seeing those videos;

I am trying to do a No-Spend to the best of my ability this month into the middle of August,

so that's why there's so few haul videos.

So I don't know if I'll be doing any new ones up until, like, the middle of August, so that's

another thing to consider - I may not have too much content other than what I've got saved up.

So let me know in the comments if you still want to see those videos, and if you do I

will definitely put them up.

Sorry for being so absent; I know I've been absent on Instagram as well, but I am going

to try to start getting back into that, hopefully this weekend.

So I just wanted to let you know that, let me know in the comments what you think, and

I will see you guys soon.

Thanks!

Bye.
