Brazil Tour part 1 - The journey to the first (unofficial) concert - Rapalje show 20 - Duration: 10:50.We were on tour in Brazil
and we flew with an airplane eight times in seven days
to do three shows in a row
And in this video you will see
the first part
where we prepare our equipment,
we travel to Schiphol in Amsterdam
and the whole travel and all the adventures to the first
unofficial concert..
Because we're not allowed to bring a lot of kilos
in the airplane
We have to strip down our technique
and normally we bring a big rack on stage where we have our
Receivers and amplifiers and everything
and we have to bring this all down
and we took out all this equipment
And put it all in a small case like this
So it fits in this
What they call a flightcase
During a live video on Facebook one week before
I asked you what you would like to see
I hope that I can show you everything you'd like to see:
The travel, the food the adventurers the fun and
everything that was needed
to be able to do this concerts
So what would you like to see?
from this camera and from that camera
from Brazil?
so at 4:00 in the morning
We drove up to Schiphol, Amsterdam airport
of course he brought our protection
He was with us the whole trip
After a quick coffee
Good morning!
We picked up Dieb
and William. And Dieb really travels light:
Only brought one bag and a fiddle
Donald Duckies?
And then we got our flightcase
Which in my opinion is not a flightcase at all, because
most airports couldn't handle
these big cases with wheels
They didn't want to have the wheels. They were too big
And they were too heavy
So we had to pay extra and we had to swap around many things that were inside
Ended up with a very big case
with a small but very heavy case inside
and in the other case was our Tea-chest-bas,
harmonica and some drums
And to be sure that they handle all our luggage
we decided that it was a good idea to play a bagpipe tune at the airport
Next in line please!
Because we also gave away a few CDs
and we were still smiling and happy
they accepted the big cases and we were on our way
to Dallas in the USA
Temperature is 93 degrees or thirty..
on the celsius scale it's 36 degrees or 97 Fahrenheit. Light winds out of the south
we do appreciate you flying with us. I will be turning the seatbelt sign back on in just a
few more minutes as we get down to lower altitudes - thanks again
Wow, It's so hot here!, ha ha ha
Five cheesburgers
Oh Yes!
And then we travel on from Dallas in USA
to Sāo Paulo in Brazil
Where we met the organizers from Odin's Krieger Festival
And this is the backstage pass we had on the last day
So I put it here beside the other passes
And in Sāo Paulo, we met the organizers Rodrigo and Leandro
Hi, Hello, Maceál, hi
Ha ha ha, Jeroen!
In the first night in Brazil
we met some fans who had won a contest on Facebook
And we also met a lovely Samya who helps out
on our trip through Brazil with all the airplanes and all the flying and all the traveilng
then we decided to do a small acoustic concert
With a couple of songs
So be easy a free and I see you next week!

Boncasztal | ICON 1000 OILDALE kabát - Duration: 14:16.Welcome to a very special episode of Motosunday
because
we will dissect an Icon Jacket one with an "unpronouncable" name
Whats this name?
Whats up guys this is an icon 1000
Oil... Oli... Oildale...
So this is an Icon 1000 Oildale jacket!
It looks like this
Why are we making this video?
Because we'd like to show you
how a fairly priceyupper cathegory Icon jacket differs from a mid cathegory?
Cheaper jacket That why does it cost more?
only because it sais Icon here?
I don't think stiching is expensive...
It sais Icon here too! Well, yes...
Anyways!
We'll find out what's inside the jacket what are the extras for this price.
Lets start at the bigginning!
The jacket has a very nice bluish colored thermo inner liner
Which has a very nice silky touch and some beautyful patches
Every little detail represents it's quality It has tiny logos all over it's material
And I can't express enough how soft it is
If Icon crew is watching this video... Why the blue? Why baby blue??? It is a beautyful camo jacket...
Nobody sees the inside!
It's still baby blue!
Considering these big brands It is very important that
Even if it offers the same protection as other jackets
those little comfort things add a great deal
when you wear this daily which leads to a different experience compared to lower quality products
It has a lot of small storage compartments
It's great for smugglung ;)
Here's a button
And what does that do?
It has a small pocket here This is like a suit so you could feel like a gentleman
This means even if they can't see from the outside You will know you are wearing quality
This is the meaning
You know to the outside you are a cool stylish dude but on the inside you are a gentleman
There is a big extra in every Icon jacket which the brand or webshops don't mention
but it is a great thing even Icon jacket owners might not know
In every jacket's inner pocket there is a St Christopher medal
who is the patron saint of travelers this IS a huge deal
If you have any kind of Icon protective gear don' try to search for it
it's not in here!!! because I've asked and it is not present in other products
This is a removable liner
you can easily unzip the inner thermo
so we can see the back protector
So this is the difference between a cheaper and a quality expensive jacket: the protectors.
This was inside a standard, cheaper, $70-$100 jacket.
Let's see what's inside this one!
A bathroom rug!
There is some difference...
This is a very soft,
quality protector.
And this is a sturdy foam...
It bends and moves very easily
You won't feel it on your back
But it hardens on impact
Yes! In the moment of impact It hardens up and protects your spine
If we move further on to the shoulder protectors
It is the same material
which hardenes on impact
so this is a much higher quality than in cheaper jackets.
These are the little things
that make a quality jacket cost more, but also protect more.
Keep going towards the elbow protector.
It's the same...
The jacket contains elbow, shoulder and back protectors.
Helmet, you know what I'm thinking of?
What that extra is apart from protectors, that still makes this more expensive?
Is the material that stronger?
Beauty comes from the inside, so lets check it out!
Lets get into it?
Lets cut it up!
We are interested in the inside of such a jacket what does the material offer?
Let's see what the inner liner which is a very silky soft material is capable of.
Is it ripstop?
Pull pull!
Guys, this is only the silky, soft inner material.
We cut it with scissors and we couldn't rip it apart.
So the conclusion is, if anything penetrates or punctures this very thin, silky layer, it will not continue ripping.
For example at the back protector...
if your cat would knead it the tiny holes would not be a starting point for ripping.
So the back protector wouldn't move.
Do you think it could be dangerous, if the fabric gets caught in something...
and because it doesn't rip, it would pull off the biker?
Where would your jacket get caught???
These giant scissors can barely cut it!
I swear it is sharp!
What kind of fabric can we find inside?
The mystery is solved:
Icon is not detailed everywhere.
It's missing the logos inside.
If I hold the inside against the light, you might see this mesh type fabric...
which means if the thermo liner is out it will vent great
and you won't get so sweaty like we do at the moment...
What's up with the outside?
The outside is supposed to protect us when sliding.
I think it deserves to go through the ripping test too.
Let's see how durable it is!
Dear Mr. doctor...
please make the precision cuts!
Precision cutting!
I think the inside was stiffer.
Yes, probably because if the outside gets caught in something it should rather rip the jacket than rip your arm...
but this is not needed on the inside fabric.
See this little stiching?
Hold it there!
Pull!
My gloves are slipping, but the stiching is intact.
So the outer layer is sewed with such a high quality stiching!
Imagine falling off the bike and hitting a sharp object.
Just like Newo's scissors!
Will it puncture?
It will not!
Look at this!
I can barely see anything!
To be honest, rain drops are more visible on my current jacket.
Maybe in the light...
I'm not sure how much you can see...
Those scissors were sharp!
This is almost nothing!
Just to let you know
we are torchering this jacket since 30 mins.
We are exhausted and sweaty, because this jacket resists so hard to our destructive ways!
But this is very strong.
It wouldn't cut it because there are so many layers .
I can't cut it!
What the hell is inside???
In most summer wear there are vent areas which are usually very thin.
Just compare it with mine!
Well yes, that's a joke...
This is at least three layers and 2mm thick.
And you can see through so it vents!
It doesn't cut through...
Let me see yours!
So you're saying we should cut through all the sticking?
There's something inside.
Look, another layer!
What did we find?
There is extra material at the shoulders.
The secrets we encounter!
What kind of fabric is this?
It feels like plastic...
This is definitely waterproof.
This is also scissors proof!
Hold that!
Pull!
So this is the inside of the armpit and shoulder area.
We removed this extra layer.
And under you can see...
all the triple stiching...
the foldings...
all the hard layers...
Here there is about four layers!
If I can cut through this...
And no.
It has started cutting it.
Well it is a lot of layers.
Hold it how strong this is.
You can feel how stiff it is.
You can feel it's strength!
To be honest, this holds better than my protectors.
And it is lightweight!
It's not heavy at all!
For real? Is he partying here?
This is what an Icon jacket looks like on the inside.
What do you guys think? Comment!
I like this color better than the baby blue.
We have to mention...
Did we mention we are at Moto.hu?
No we didn't.
What's very important this Icon Jacket, this place was provided by Moto.hu!
Make sure to check out their webshop!

They can provide you with any kind of Icon jackets.

#Rudiger: I waited years for Chelsea transfer - Duration: 3:04.Rudiger: I waited years for Chelsea transfer
The Germany international is looking forward to testing himself in the Premier League having long held the ambition of turning out in England.
Antonio Rudiger is delighted to be in the Premier League after waiting "years" for interest from Chelsea to deliver a big-money transfer.
The Germany international has been snapped up by the Blues in a £34 million deal after many windows of being linked with a move.
Having burst onto the scene at Stuttgart and enhanced his reputation in Italy with Roma, the classy defender has often been targeted by leading sides in the English top flight.
Chelsea were often among those said to be keen, and Rudiger is looking forward to rewarding that show of faith after joining Antonio Conte's ranks.
He told reporters while with the Blues in Singapore on International Champions Cup duty: "I wanted to play in the Premier League and it is now years that my name was linked to Chelsea.
"Now I am here and I am very happy. I want to thank all of the people who made this come true.".
Rudiger is aware that he faces a different kind of challenge in England to that he has previously overcome in Germany and Italy.
The 24-year-old is relishing the tests which lie ahead and is excited to be opening a new chapter in his career, having helped his country to Confederations Cup success over the summer.
He added: "I cannot say much about the Premier League because I did not experience it yet. "But the Italian league is more tactical.
You don't have open games but here in England it is different, both teams are attacking the whole time so that is the main big difference, and of course the physical aspect in England.
"I think the whole league is a big challenge so I need to be prepared for each game. Rudiger has been drafted in by Conte to bolster a defensive unit which performed admirably during a Premier League title triumph in 2016-17.
David Luiz, Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta formed a reliable three-man back line last season, but they now face added competition for places.
Chelsea also needed to bring in further cover after seeing long-serving club captain John Terry leave the club at the end of his contract.

Princess Charlotte Performs Her First Royal Curtsy — and the Internet Can't Handle It! - Duration: 2:17.Step aside, Prince George.
Your little sister just took the title of cutest royal.
Princess Charlotte stole the spotlight from her famous family when she performed her first
public curtsy.
Wearing a light blue dress and holding onto mom Duchess Kate Middleton's hand, the two-year-old
looked adorable as she performed the tiny bow in Poland before boarding a plane.
As expected, the Internet could not handle all the cuteness (and neither can we).
Fans were even loving the way Charlotte walked on her tip toes, seemingly copying her mom
who was wearing heels.
Along with performing her first public curtsy, she also gave an impressive diplomatic handshake,
which we know will be the first of many for the tiny royal, who looks just like her grandmother
Queen Elizabeth II.
Recently, Prince William opened up about fatherhood and the sadness he felt that his late mother
Princess Diana would never meet her grandkids.
"I would like to have had her advice, he told British GQ.
I would love her to have met Catherine and to have seen the children grow up.
It makes me sad that she wont, that they will never know her."
The Duke of Cambridge also revealed that, approaching the 20th anniversary of her death,
he and his brother Prince Harry were in a much better place and able to talk more openly
about her, which was hard for them in the past.
It has taken me almost twenty years to get to that stage.
I still find it difficult now because at the time it was so raw."
He continued, "And also it is not like most peoples grief because everyone else knows
about it, everyone knows the story, everyone knows her.
It is a different situation for most people who lose someone they love, it can be hidden
away or they can choose if they want to share their story.
We're sure Diana was impressed by Charlotte's curtsy, too.

UFC 214 Full Fight 2017 Highlights: Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier 2; calls out Brock Lesnar - Duration: 1:49.Due to YouTube copyright laws, I can't show any of the video here.
Please head on over to my blog in the link below to view the fight.
Jon Jones defeated Daniel Cormier in their rematch at UFC 214 with a third-round knock
out using a head kick.
Cormier ended up concussed because of the incident.
Jones destroyed his rival at UFC 282 two and a half year ago, but his title was taken away
twice.
This morning he sent a strong message across the sport, saying"It's such a beautiful
moment.
I did a lot of right things to get back in this position.
Anybody at home who let yourself down, you let your family down, you let your parents
down or your co-workers down, you let yourself down, it's never over.
As long as you never quit, it's never over.
I'm back here."
Jones then called out Brock Lesnar, who responded with "careful what you wish for."
Cormier said after the fight, "I thought the fight was going well, I don't even know
what happened.
"They said I got kicked in the head.
Man, that was so disappointing.
I guess if you win both fights, there is no rivalry."
Jones was a good sport and paid tribute to his opponent saying, "I'm going to do my best
to be the champion that you guys deserve to have.
Daniel Cormier has been one of the biggest sources of motivation I've had in the last
two-three years and I thank him for that and for pushing me to a higher level."
What did you think of the Jon Jones Daniel Cormier UFC 214 fight?
Let me know in the comments below and don't forget to subscribe.
Jones served a year long suspension after failing a doping test four days before UFC
200 in 2016.

Brazil Tour part 1 - The journey to the first (unofficial) concert - Rapalje show 20 - Duration: 10:50.We were on tour in Brazil

The travel, the food the adventurers the fun and
everything that was needed
to be able to do this concerts
So what would you like to see?
from this camera and from that camera

Tony Robbins: How To Master Your Emotions ( Tony Robbins Psychology ) - Duration: 15:42.Emotions are a habit if you say how do I pull myself out of my own funk of my own
frustration may overwhelm you got to first own the fact that you've
identified that as the way that you live you actually I always tell people you
get what you tolerate and so you've got used to tolerating that and you start
thinking this is me when all it is is a habit it's a habit of the way of looking
at life that's a habit and how you use your body it's a habit of language that
you use because certain words when you use them you become that I really
believe but you've got to do is train yourself train yourself physically it's
like working out you know people say don't you have bad day of course I get
pissed off I get frustrated I feel sad I don't think but I don't stay there I
used to live there I used to be depressed all the time I never get
depressed now because not because I'm so positive not think it's like a muscle
you know you can train yourself to get frustrated by doing over you can train
yourself to be stressed out you train yourself to feel fat by doing it so
often we get wired the more we do something more wired we go you can train
yourself to feel passionate you can can you something feel strong and I tell
people don't settle remember you get what you tolerate put yourself in gear
go for a workout start to train your body in your mind and also find
something you want to serve greater than yourself because if you're just doing
this for you you're going to probably have that day but if you're doing it for
your family if you do it to the community if you're doing it for
Humanity you really are and it isn't bullshit you're going to find a level of
energy inside you you're going to get insights you never I really believe
motive does matter if your motive just for yourself you don't get much insight
life supports you because you're part of life but if you're going to support more
than yourself when you get a vision that's how businesses grow that's how
movements happen right find something bigger yourself to serve and make sure
that you don't tolerate weakness in yourself that doesn't need enough to
feel sad but you're not just going to stay there because you made that
decision life's too short to feel like crap I've decided I want to live in a
beautiful state for the rest of my life that doesn't mean I won't feel bad it
means I won't stay there because I'm in control and I can change it's okay
is the breakthrough by the way so we're clear if you say you're having to break
you who've never had a breakthrough you fought you fought and then you had a
break who's out with this happen before say I a breakthrough is when there's
something you struggle with for a long time you say you're going to change you
say you're going to make it happen you're going to lose that weight you're
going to grow your revenues you're going to make that profit you're going to make
something happy going to find that relationship you're going to stop
smoking and you start to get right near the edge and then you pull back who's
done this multiple times before but then finally how to break through you broke
through and actually change it's a I so jot down what a breakthrough is and let
me give you the three steps of it a breakthrough is a moment in time that's
what it is it's a moment in time it's a moment where suddenly what was
impossible becomes possible and what makes it possible is you take immediate
massive what immediate massive what action for that to happen for the
impossible impossible and for you to have action that's going to get results
really I found over the years any kind of breakthrough
you're going to have requires three things to it and if you never see me
again and you're ever in a place you say I'm
sick of fighting this I'm sick of not getting results I want I don't want to
just learn more I want to break through if you remember this and go back to the
simple formula and by the way I've made this simple purposely you know why and
plek city is the enemy of execution the more complex you make it the less likely
you're going to execute I'm so good at getting people to do things because I
make it so damn simple you can't miss it so let's do it what's it going to take
to ever break you before I tell you let's have you think of an area where
you once fought and you finally had a breakthrough for you personally what's
an area we pushed in portion for she couldn't do it couldn't do it and you
finally made yourself do it and broke through
how many can think of a specific area life when you actually did crater break
to say I if you can um boy oh this wrong say aye
bayaud what was that area say it out loud noisy I just say it out loud what
area did you break through and say now the roads here okay so now you've had
success before let's do it again I'm going to show you the three things you
need for break through any one of the three can do it all three of them
together you will absolutely break through and I'm going to give them to
you in reverse order of importance meaning I'm going to tell you the least
important thing first because it's the first thing most of you go through it's
not the most important but it's very important before I do it I want you
right now to think of it area you want to break through right now
what's an air your life right now that you'd like to create a break to how many
to make up something you came here for I want to change this I want to rip this
open I want to transform this I want to master this who's got a mirror your life
right now great sit up in your chair some energy right now super your chair
make sure the people on either side of you in a peak state right now come on
get them up alright right now pick an area you want
to create a breakthrough it what scenario you want to create a
breakthrough it money finance great what specifically do you want to create a
breakthrough about money or finance I like some money here's the problem
asking you shall so if she said like some money I could give her a dollar and
go okay man you got some money let's move up if you're that general you're
probably getting what you're asking for you just don't realize it because you're
too general what's the breakthrough you want with money
to be able to travel the world what prevents that from happening now money
eat so we now know what a real problem is I'm gonna show you what a real
problem is in a moment somebody else what's the breakthrough you want what's
the bracelet tell me raise your hand what's the break
what's the break you want sir what is it to be a leader for my family what's
preventing you from being a leader for your family my mindset what specific
mindset what focus
I'm just not focused enough I want to listen to people's answers because
you're going to see why people aren't changing is it so general someone else
be honest what's here you want to break your head yes we have what do you want
to break you in she goes I want to break you in clarity of what I want to do with
my career what do you want to do with your career you don't know I know you
don't know but if you did know and how does tell me right now what would you
say I want to be up there talking to thousands of people she doesn't know and
then when I say I know you don't know what's the answer she fucking tells me
the answer insulin she just has a habit of saying I don't know when you say I
don't know I don't know I don't know over and over again you tell yourself a
story you begin to believe that story and once you believe it it's manifest
how many of you have ever had when you're a kid you're eating dinner your
parents says to you could you get me the salt and you're enjoying your meal you
don't want to get up so you know why you say I don't know the salt is it's not a
lot you don't know its exact position this moment of time and your parent says
you know where it's in it's in the kitchen you go I don't know the sausage
you cook it I don't know you give it a salt right now what are you saying your
head as you walk in the kitchen out of the salt is out of this all because I
don't assault is yoga cabinet really do what it's not here it's on the second
shelf they tell you use the Ottoman Sultans on the sausages look it's not
here they come storming the kitchen to be straight for you basically go what is
this who's ever had women's experience to say I here's my question did your
eyes see the salt yes or no yes you're I saw the salt but your mind did not allow
you to perceive the salt because you told yourself a story over and over
again I believe over and over again and it didn't want to make you a liar with
yourself so you created what's called the scotoma or a blind spot now if you
listen to all the people here they're all searching so let me give you the
answer three keys to a breakthrough think of the areas you want to provide
you in right now your body your money your relationships your career your
business your joy your happiness and let's look at what your choice is our
first element there are three essence for a breakthrough first element most
people looking for is they're looking for the right strategy you're saying if
I could find the right strategy get this result right now and by the way
my life I am a life and Dismas strategist all I do is seek out the
world for finding strategies I find people been together for 60 years and
they don't just love each other their intimate their passionate and make love
and I want to know what do they have different than other people and I don't
think it's luck and I know it's not luck and I figure out what the strategies are
they do things that excite each other and I find out what those things are and
you can put them in anybody's relationship that's reignited I find
people I just got done doing a four year project where I interviewed 50 of the
most wealthy human beings on earth and greatest investors in history and these
are all people that started with nothing and became multi billionaires and I
interviewed them put it inside the book but very best with what I've learned I
learned I got a PhD from the people to control the world economy from the warm
buffets of the world and the raid al use of the world once I knew what their
strategies are like right now one of the strategies I put in my book it's called
money master the game I believe it's an Australian I think it's come to here yet
you have you seen here in this book I got one of them to actually give me a
strategy in a dis man named Ray Dalio he's the largest hedge fund in the world
this is a guy that rich people they have money to give to a hedge fund guy the
big hedge funds are 15 billion Ray is 160 billion he's ten times larger than
anyone on earth you have to have a billion dollar net worth and give him a
hundred million dollars ten years ago to even begin investing with him now he
doesn't care how much money whoever you won't take your money and I got him to
give me the strategy that he has all of his personal money and he's never told
this to anyone on earth and I put in the book cause I convinced him you're not
taking anybody's money anyway so you're not getting all the money you could ever
take you taking you're giving up the afternoon s worth I'm gonna give this
the average person anybody to follow the strategy last year beat the stock market
the stock market the u.s. was thirteen point two it is fifteen point six in
October last year his strategy not mine I just got it from him the stock market
the Dow dropped a thousand points in one month it dropped six percent this went
up point two percent first seven days of this year the market was down three
this is up 1% right now it's a three and a half the markets up by two and a
quarter and in the last 75 years it's made money 85% of the time imagine and
when it lost it only lost one point six percent and when it wins it wins an
average of ten percent if you go to Vegas and when 85 percent of the time at
10 percent and there's one point six fifty percent the time honk you fuckin
play it's in the book that's strategy you do once a year you rebalance it and
you're done that's how powerful it is and it's only not work twice 2008 and in
1932 and in both cases it did twice as good as everything else but it did was
one now that's the power of a fucking strategy but getting it from the best on
earth that's what I do now to do that it's a time energy money effort it
didn't interrupt me I to pursue it I had expect no answers that I want the answer
and I got it so I know the power of strategies for anybody else does but I
want to tell you most of you want to lose weight you're looking for the
strategy one relationship you lookin for strategy look at business you want your
strategy all good things the right strategy save you years save you decades
can convert results in minutes that you would have struggled for forever so I
know the value strategies but all that I just said about strategies they're not
the most important keys to a breakthrough let's think about it 70% of
the United States is overweight I don't know the current number in Australia but
it's starting to catch up to the u.s. most of the world is catching up to the
US it polluted everybody else for the same lifestyle and so guess what is it
really that hard to be fit and strong is it so complex that you'll never
understand it is that why the strategy complex or fit and strength to be fit
and strong yes or no is it like so unique and special that only the 1% can
afford it no in fact don't you have to work your
ass off to avoid the information that could make you fit and strong in fact
today god forbid if you wanted to go work out and be trained how far would I
have to leave this building to get to a place where they were training how far
there's one line over there isn't it and we'll probably thrive there God
forbid we'd actually walk to the place we're going to workout in shed right and
oh by the way you don't do that now you can take out your phone or your iPad
right now and download ten books we live in a world where the strategies are all
around you so strategy may be your problem often it is but more often
you're missing the number two thing you need and that is the right story because
the story you have about your life about your business about the area life that's
not where you want the area breaking through your story is what making you be
stuck what's the story it's a belief that you tell yourself over and over
again like I'm gonna solve this out of the stall this you tell the story so
often you believe it this man once said you tell a lie big enough loud enough
and long enough sooner or later people will believe you who said that
Hitler and most of their Hitler in their own minds we convinced ourselves the
challenges so when person says well you know least I tried someone who hasn't
lost weight they'll say I've tried come on well they say I tried everything
bullshit if you tried everything you'd be fitting strong well I applied
thousands of way thousands name them well tried hundreds name them well I've
tried dozens name them why did do these two stupid things that don't work over
and over again mine was on big boats I am big boat but I was 38 pounds heavier
with the same bones so we often say things that are true to back things up
they are true you're big-boned but that is not why you're fat right so the story
keeps us from it if you know the relationship you want what's the story
all the good ones are gone and they're gay and I'm not or they're not gay and I
am the story the story is there I got write
this down the only thing keeping you from getting what you want the only
thing keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling
yourself about why you don't have it the only thing keeping you from getting what
you really want is the story you keep telling yourself about why you don't
have it yes here's what I said divorce your story and marry the truth divorce
your story and marry the truth and don't make it one those divorces where you
revisit with your old-ass belief system again divorce it cut it off and marry
the truth the truth will set you what but you got to develop the empowering
story without that now some of you think an empathic story is the one that allows
you to be keep going at what doesn't work I'm not talking about a story where
you cover your ass and explain that you're still going to achieve you want
some day in the future because no one can argue with that because the futures
not here but really you're not doing anything to change significant who knows
what I'm talking about here say I so you've got to find a story that's going
to empower you to act a story that's going to get you to find the
breakthrough because otherwise with a lousy story you'll never find the
strategy or you'll come up with the reason why it's too expensive you can't
get there you can't access it or you'll even get the strategy and then
half-assed apply it just so you can reward your story that says it doesn't
work as I tried it I thought both shit boasted as opposed to the bullshit
jumping and doing something different your head of course it's not going to
work you're not doing it it's self fulfilling how many following say hi so
I want you to get this is the secret

My Movie - Duration: 52:01.I will start with your methods, with your ways of making
when we look at your practice when we look at your projects
the range changes a lot from photograpgy to painting from collage to site specific works
even some architectural experimentations to scientific experimentations
that turns into tangible objects that you reflect
yourself so I would like to ask your ways of making from the beginning of your career to today
how it changed how it evolved and your journey... it's been a long journey because I
started studying painting and my first studies were in Italy in between Tuscany and Milan
Milan and then after the Academy of Fine Arts I was really interested in
the shifting between in photography between analogic and digital so in that
time I remember that we were really involved in this kind of cyber culture
that was related to the the body the vision to the Baudrillard sense of the
losing the reality in a sense and for me that the digital photography gave me the
possibility to to work like a director in a sort of narrative so the paradox
between the image the situation the double situations in the image I
mean real people in a fake stage or something similar and for me the answer
was was this sort of paradoxical approach respect work what's the reality and then after five four five years of working only with
photography I start again with sculpture just because I need to handle
something in that sense I'm being lucky because the first series of sculptures
were all these copies in 1/1 scale of real objects realized it in rubber so those
pieces were without the internal structure
exactly copies of the reality but without the structure in that sense
because the rubber give you this
translation of an object losing the object itself it was they were like
ghosts like phantoms in that sense the gray color that keep all these objects
together it's it's another form of neutralization of your turn and
for me was just to say what the reality and we are just in front of something
that we can't recognize really like what's real and what's fake
okay so at the beginning then all the work was around this problem you know in
you are in search of reality somehow... okay yes but always I love this word Transfiguration always
not presenting real objects or real stuff but are always working again on
something that produced like an art object I mean using the typical
sculptural methods of moulding casting so you see something that exactly the
reproduction of the real but is not real as an example can we give *********used to be our bags
yes the albergue comes from these areas
but the main problem was this aspect of this defunctionality
and but how is the process exactly we start with a certain material or do you
have an idea exactly and of all during I mean for the
exhibitions for example it was really strictly related with all biographical
objects or with the subject the theme of an installation so in that in that
series I was working with a lot of architectural elements for example doors
windows but also pianos my bike so an entire world reproduced but in
collapsing
in that sense probably the recent work is going to the opposite because I was
working losing the structure from the things
today I'm working exactly on the opposite because all the stuff and after
after 10 years 15 years of deconstruction I started trying to
build again in that sense the modular pieces are formulated in this sense that
the structure the internal structure of the of something should grow in in an
organic way and this mixed culture between digital and but also I grew
up in the countryside so that is always looking to nature now for me really the
base of many projects if I think to the recent sculpture I love to relate them
to plants or corals or this sort of diagramatic systems but this is the
point digital versus nature or they go hand in hand and not at that time
, this came later in the 2000s because my passion for
architecture in that sense I start to work with this idea of the space like a
Euclidean box and if you have a look you will see different installations where.
you can go in and you can pass through those spaces and the Euclidean grid
that make the drawing of this three-dimensional space is going the
formal like an organic process so from the corners
it goes on in the sphere let's say and probably that was because I would like
to introduce the viewer inside the piece and not only looking at something
but walking .how do you do it using those kind of spaces that they have a double
distortion one is acted by the structure the other is acted by the surface I mean
I have I have used this kind of prismatic film has had the beginning of
2000 that give you a particular optical effect and it's useful
lighting in architecture in or something but and and for me was very
interesting because it give you a distortion again working with the
prismatic structure of the light so it's difficult to explain the effect of the
material but so interaction is one of the main points in your works can we say that. yes from
those spaces and the caravans for example but also the first project on
the tree it's being in 2004
the title of all the series is monologue patterns because for me they
were related just to one or two people inside space that should feel in in a
sort of poetic way and how I can explain you mean by poetical landscape
yes exactly there were not social spaces, asocial places in right now
yes yes because the character of the space give you works on your integrity I
mean for example the transparent Caravan they play on this double situation that
you are inside a space that is transparent so you can see outside and
the other can see you I like the question about architecture and how you
use the basic rules of physics and basic rules of nature to create this reflection
by itself also your dilemma in between digital and analogue so you consider your works as an extension
of architecture or your works have a typical architectural style for
you how do you see your works because you're talking about like creating an
atmosphere, creating a landscape which is a subject of architecture so first I would
I think those kind of pieces are still objects
because they start from a sculptural point of view but then they became
spaces in that sense the approach to architecture is very natural is very I
mean is not is not a barrier for me and and this work is fantastic because every
time you are going into other landscapes, yesterday we were talking
about design there are all these kind of things but I don't want to stop in front
of anything you know yeah so during the time during the time I was trying to
have for example like a kind of work that should react to architecture
because for 10-15 years we have all this sculpture amazing new spaces and have
produced from the artists and so on so I said have you seen some Museum and it's
very difficult to interact in this museum because it's a skull
the museum itself is a sculpture and so art has to I mean probably the usual
reaction it's been to to work with videos to work with different media'
also for that reason because you lose the frame
so for me those kind of modular pieces for example are really a reaction they
should be a reaction to the space I want to dance inside the box of some somebody
else or I can make something on this facade on that bridge working like an
organism in that sense I'm free and I totally agree with you talking about
the museums have became sculptures because they become signature buildings for sure, exactkly, landmarks.
coming to your ways of making again, you also and mentioned that you started this
you know method shifting between analog and digital in terms of social visit
but then you took this method this idea this this statement to other works of
yours like also your searching for reality you talk about neutralization of
the object that you are doing it by using nature, natural elements, natural rules like basic
rules of physics but at the same time you wotk with science and technology without
this you cannot realize your projects and I would like to ask you where do you stand
between physical and dygital. there is a new term that we are also using now: phygital ... yeah I know
so how phygital you are? I think in digital it's a sort of continuous
parametric approach parametrically means that you can ship
something and dividing your interest and you know what the parametrical
architecture what is this? it's something that's learning from natural
laws so I am making a lot of architects are asking to me
if the modular pieces are projected in a parametrical way but it
isn't. because when when I say to you that I want to react like an organism
and the seeds the ***** give you the possibility to grow it's something
very close to the parametrical approach in architecture but is like a
plant and I'm doing that in a very empirical way you know because I never
study science I studied Leonardo da Vinci so
that's probably the starting point of my culture he was looking to so many things
and everything should be the subject for something else but this
empirical approach give me a freedom also give me a lot of failures
because you never know what's happened with until you
build something I mean I started from watercolor then I go in 3d the 3d
softwares are always there because we think in 3d and also the at the very
beginning I was talking about this great sculpture for me they were like I mean
the the gray color the neutralization of the surface the absence of texture give
you this idea of the model of the prototype of some
so the object is without the external qualities but keep only the its own mass
and shape and yesterday you were mentioning a lot about sharing and
we live in a digital world so anyone with access to internet social media the
changed the whole way of communication and also production in my
eyes is not anymore at a monologue but we turn everything into a dialogue how
do you integrate this phenomenon into your work I don't care too much about
these kind of social portals for me just an instrument, a tool but I think
that art has to be stronger than these stuff because the socials are just a
sort of flowing of things
and when you try to make a good watercolor, a good sculpture a good video
in the sense of the poetical approach you have to look at yourself not only to
to the external factors in that sense I really
think that art became a social subject but the very beginning is
at the very beginning is produced with another sense that something that I mean
give you the possibility to to know yourself and what's around you the
social media are so superficial yeah but on the other hand if I
look at an old painting but also Francis Bacon if I look to the ancient art or
I don't know I love for example this ethnographic museum yes because I see
all those manufacture all those kind of symbolic so the question is how we can
produce
something symbolic if you don't look in the D and I don't know I mean those kind
of social media they they need they need materials to be filled but
quite often everything is so superficial that to be
honest I don't love them too much I love people
that is going deeply inside poetry or science because this way I
learn a lot of things from these people and today we are always ok we
should we should see what's happened there and there and there but then and I
mean there is a lot of difference between to see something on the screen
of the telephone and and an artwork to be in front of a real artwork. two
different worlds. I'd like to see this landscape in the phone or just in front
usually you feel the smell of the things
and this is the analogical yes it is something I'm quite curious
actually because okay, the digital technology the three-dimensional
visualization has developed a lot but at the same time there are some
things that some interpretations we can still make of course using the very
simple and basic rules of physics nature and chemistry
making life is creating the infection you can use a mirror and some pasta so
and let's also make a comparison because you mentioned that you
grew up with Leonardo. So when we look at the art history
reneiisance happened because of the people that's gathered in Italy
at the time in France, in Milan in Venice anyway so if there was a
Renaissance at the same time it was because
of that community existed there at that very specific time and they created a
new thing and also of course after all the black age of Europe they needed
something to rebirth so today do you see this kind of community from where you're
standing artists designers architects there are some communities around the
world making some collective works as well at the same time some solo work
do you think that how do you see today's art and design age community I like its
approach a lot because for example we are also working in the south of
Italy to a sort of ***of the *** project and
it's super nice because we are talking with the habitants of this part of the
city Matera. Also Joseph Grima is doing something there. Exactly because there
will be the capital of culture 2019 so it's very interesting to see the reaction of the
normal people and I have to say that show a showing my work to them all these
people fall in love because the words are given to you something that I mean
going back to the relationship between nature and science for example these
installation in Venice that made with eight thousand pieces it is also a
visual metaphor of what you are talking about I mean all those connections,
the those nets so I think a visual object should be should be read from the
viewer in many different ways it depends on your language, on your culture
and I was trying to make something exactly in that direction I mean a work
of art has a meaning but the meaning is so open and that's the power
of that piece because you are you are working on many levels of meaning
then there's the relationship that you were saying about the design the architects
I mean it becomes open an opener and if you look at the architectural Biennal
and those kind of things I was invited for many many architects during
this 15 years to make project together but you know what they need you
because you have more freedom than them producing a visual
sign that's going to that kind of meanings that I was talking before
alejandro aravena curated the last architecture biennal of Venice and he put this
acclaim reporting from the façade
he also called a lot of artists to join because as a social
architect he's always very much judged by his decisions of making social
houses but at the same time gaining money from a petrol company now the
contributions always on the table I want to take this question and maybe extend
it again in community this time not the interaction between an artist architect
and designer but the interaction between the artist and a curator. the role of the
curators has change in the recent years and they are not anymore
setting up a exhibition but they are a part of the process and
there was a very interesting article "Curator as Producer"
how do you see this and because I have to say also *** their creators
how does it go in your world I think in the recent years but also for this
Biennale the reaction is that after ten years of curating this way and not
writing because we need right back I mean we need ideas happen text now
expected philosophy related to our and nobody's writing I mean this collateral
aspect that's like a producer is bypased by the themselves
also this Biennal is curated by *** also in Berlin you remember Johnny
with Catherine I mean there are a lot of exhibitions curated by artists and I
think this is a reaction after 10-15 years of *** that's
not enough for artists
what I mean is that for sure the curator should be we should be an important part
of for example a group show because the curator is like a DJ , take samples (?) but I don't like
the possibility there are so many artists around today the artists are
interchangeable so something is good, something not. I remember a
few years ago and I think to have a *** to challenge to other old curators
they were writing and they were choosing the artists for that kind of work for
that kind of language today the *** face of the things bring the curator to
change the earth it's okay you have an idea you have to sample to make sort of
record talking about the subject but the artists are so many that you can check
into if you don't have that artist you change and I think the artists
are not so happy about it so you mean the greater should put the
context create a philosophical and maybe ideological way but then let the artists
to not intervene to their productivity. No,
the artist the artist is an import an important factor if you are a curator
but if you only I don't know I mean you should make a project using artists like
materials and that's what I see around I mean a curator make a project and use
the artists like the sort of index of somebody that representative of that
idea you're against it? no I like this approach
but if I see ten exhibitions only two are good in this sense. the other eight
exhibitions are searching
probably the greater like an artist and I remember that English in the eighties
Aquila bonito libram (?) was writing this stuff in Italy he was writing that to
the curator is an artist itself in a sense
choosing and giving you that kind of vision yes we are talking about this prosedure I would like to as about
your exhibition in MoMa in
2006 cloudless. Can you tell us the prosedure, how you worked with curator, with
MoMA and how did you create this cloudless space with clouds with balls
this cloudless piece was an installation made with 50,000 white
but was not on the market it was my first module and I presented the
piece at the beginning in Beijing and this sort of cloudless was related to
the mass of people in China it was a sort of diagram but also a
cloud because the internal structure was done with leathers in aluminium
and what you see is an organic shape with this leather side so like
every cloud this clarity system before in Beijing then on a tree bring the
Shanghai by n1 humans later and then to the ps1 and then to the Palais de Tokyo
Canadian we arrive to the first one because I was there with my image with
Lorenzo and at the time the this one was directed from Alana it's fantastic woman
that 20 years ago often there
see you and she saw this Rajat she saw some pictures so she says okay I want
this piece here
so without curators and at the time I remember that I was asking you a couple
of most x2 curators friends of mine and I I love this relationship that when
when I asked a text went to somebody I read something about my word that I
don't know I like okay for that reason I say should be really important that
these guys say started right yes it's important to have visions about the word
so every surprise what we are going to see actor
exhibition in it someone check the cameras
okay look if you would like to open you see so the dish I get today for the
first time may be here for the first response how you would like to create
this place education for Istanbul and eBay and I may I would like to interact
with the space of the gallery I love this world with the columns and I would
like to make something there working like a plan and I hope that the the word
should be should be seen in this continuous relationship with geometry
and the basis of geometry the nature and what we have seen before
also because I love your geometric Islamic art formation and in something
of really amazing in terms of knowledge and I think in all these kind of
beautiful geometries there is the sense of nature the sense of order disorder I
mean there is a cosmic approach a mathematical conservative exactly and
there is a like eerie surprise me like whatever is like magical like
fascination by say New England I what I would like is to create a relationship
between my Western culture and those kind of results in sculpture and this
place exactly linked into this kind of relationships we live in the system of
defined order actually law system it's not biological it's not natural which we
find like the beginning of the heuristic of system Hammurabi was defining if
somebody's killing somebody's daughter or not the man who killed but the man's
daughter of attention what is true so coming from geometric
equality or the cosmic world how do you define your orders
what are your references narrative I I don't like for example I prefer I don't
like narratives I don't get any any writer in particular I love books that
are related to you know natural topics geography cosmology but not narrative
this is whether you're human and I don't know why but for many years I stopped
you to read narrative and I mean I have also also on the internet I'm always
studying solutions for me technology is a part of our contemporary landscape and
give me a lot of meaning in terms of what we are what we are doing what we
can do so in that sense is that for me it's really a deep part of the culture
in the same time I think like an axis I have to translate this kind of solutions
in something that's more vertical
and what about being in between cultures and cookies how does it affect your
products you learn something if you learn 10% in you all the times I mean
this approach to technology but also culture yesterday I was looking these
Arabian growing's the writings I mean you can take this
growing and you put in front of you for 2 days 1 weeks two months and then at
the end that you do in make something that is related to the film so China
Germany or I mean I've every great place is a very good suggestion especially
starting from the architecture I learn a lot from the spaces and from the food
yes wisely because the food that we activity inside the food give you
exactly the measure of that of the people so it's not my perception of
these your people yes the measure in the same survey they're related to to the
measure on invention if Asus I think to the Chinese food ok Chinese use
but everything when when you have a lunch or dinner in China you have so
many dishes you put everything everything and I think the creativity
inside the food give you a translation of of the people
my perception concerning Italian food is simple here we have to have more than
250 shapes of pasta shapes we give shapes so including in the sense of
anthropology this is really important from my point of view so the texture
also changed exactly except the American
so it gives you the all those valuations but I think in Turkey should be the same
between Istanbul Ankara or other places so diverse and depth there is
the point in the same time in contemporary food in Italy you have some
chef that rain painting is typical typical good in another way
so was it what like Edison are you saying about the different places that
bring together to another kind of page I have a couple of friends that are doing
that in an amazing way with completely another approach at the
switch between design and art the major differences are in design you're the
serial production and here's the economic target and it should be also
used by the end user whereas in artist pre-production remind
and how do you play with these two things because you've also projects with
the line companies I mean R&D and channel you make some
interpretations but no usually I playing in a different way because this is the
main difference I mean if you make a drawing for a watch as to be wearable as
to be a practical object functional so in that sense you can I mean
you can bring your subject your team to the design but then you are docked and
other strategies for the production and you learn also many things in this kind
of relationship because because the process is completed is very completely
different but the copy the design companies are asking to artists to make
something that very peculiar in the sense that the reality is you don't sign
to the production process and usually it is the different resin
I mean in fact if I think that probably the both the kitchen should be done from
a minimal it up artist of the object 60s yes because it's the same approach with
you know the material the cleaning of the form the absolute I guess it's a
very important point because the branch design brands they have values they
stand for something they have a certain clientele so this should also be matched
with the values of that artist and sales process nice maitre lineal we are the
end product will be a functional one also but this is what the designer
should think of but the artisans the brandsmart should definitely your world
should match and yes you do and if you look to their for example
Calculon is working with a lot of kind of design object also working with this
magazine Pollock paper I've seen Jeff Koons with me be done with all respect
take care for the whole painting so it's a multi-layered job no but you see some
of the collaborations are really touching and strong so now that you tell
them it's just you know copy and paste another designers exam yes you're right
I have a lot of random of mine that our designers and their approach is
completely because they comes out from the Andrea Brandolini Network and the
approach is completely different so there is something of creative that
everything is should be creative but the goal is this frame and at the end file
is writing that's probably the people today is buying teaching flight
minimally installation is because this minimal art of the sixties and seventies
is a common heritage now it's a sort of cultural don't you think that they
alchimia animals that Michaela de loop here Alice and remained in a turret cosa
they opened it like a way they say interrogate they question the new
modernism which were not quite minimal and a pointillism as well no it was for
the sportsman but at the same time like they open a new way that they put their
expressions their ideas not just as an architect and designer as an artist and
absolutely calm very signature the people's also
the company's like asking out or if internet finds something actually
explain no but they have a little a description updated to designer artist
centigrams equilibration oh yeah yeah sure
I think they open they open something so if you see all those British and French
designers I mean from stock to donor adore more reason or the other guy in
rock slower growth I I love him hello but this is the first
boss morning I mean Memphis is it seems to be a Lansing the Romans in so I would
like to come come up you can ask about your afternoon stationery claim seed
syllable to make you see syllabus is a recent work that will not be in the show
okay and I really love to to mix words for the for my title in advertising and
they are quite lovely because they move the sense of what you see to other
languages to travel situation so she give you
okay this idea of the module of the unique business repeated and growth and
syllabus are only parts of the world so it's the sort of double meaning and I
discovered it for example the six syllables are the base for the mantras
as I check that out so when they start to make a mantra they
reduce the word repeating only a small part of the of the word in that sense
the word itself to lose it means becoming a sound
is this something paralyzed yeah so I hope rather send me I read so can be
called a construction yet for sure what about your future project
now you will wait to begin if summer at September and copying division will
affect your next approaches and what we have on the table already for the future
ah yes I have couple of shows one with 29 February show there in Italy in the
meanwhile I will have another piece in Paris where in the same car okay okay
and then that meeting we have this project in Matera
the south of Italy probably in November for the Kazakh capital yes then I have
other private projects because I have a very interesting project in Switzerland
building a house is more House of 60 meter square like the word
I have another project in China with a diamond company is called the history
here here soon okay and then lots of things
okay you are mentioning an additional 2018 and Hilaria continue yes I'm fine
Thank You Ramona sorry for the mess but in the morning
