August Wrap Up 2017 [CC] - Duration: 7:20.

Hello there, it's Samantha! So today I'm coming to you with my August wrap-up.

Normally I combine my book hauls and wrap ups into one video,

but this month I bought so many

books, that I'm like you know I'm just gonna separate them because otherwise

that's gonna end up being like a 30 minute video and nobody wants that!

Especially not me because then I'd have to edit that and... no thank you!

I'd rather just do two separate videos.

In the month of August I managed to

complete six books, which i think is pretty good considering the fact that I

actually had kind of a busy month, and I went on holiday a few times, and they

ended up being, like, I didn't get as much time to read as I thought I would.

So the first book that I read this month is one that I already mentioned in my July wrap up

because it was combined with my biannual bibliothon wrap-up. I read this book

during that read-a-thon. I didn't actually finish it till August. I'm just

gonna mention it very briefly and that is The Archive by Victoria Schwab.

I wasn't the biggest fan of this book. I already have a written review of this up on

Goodreads, so I'm not gonna talk about it any more than just saying that I enjoyed

it. I gave it a 3.5 out of 5 stars, so clearly I didn't adore it,

but it was still quite good. If you want full thoughts, I will link my review down

below and I'll also link down my July wrap-up in case you want to hear the

thoughts instead of reading them. This actually completed my TBR jar challenge which,

for the month of August, was to start a new series because I have not read The

Archived before, and this is the first book in The Archived so I started it. So that

completed that challenge.

So the next book that I read was To All The Boys I've Loved

Before by Jenny Han. I really really enjoyed this book! If you don't know what

this book is about, To All The Boys I've Loved Before is a book about this girl

called Lara Jean and she's had crushes on a few guys and she says she's loved

them, but I mean I don't know if you can love someone when you're 12, but okay. So she's

had crushes on these guys. Every time she gets over a crush she writes this letter

about like all the things she liked about them and she even like addresses

it to them and puts it in an envelope. And then just doesn't send it though. She

just keeps them. It's kind of like her way of like getting over the crush.

She puts all of these letters, addressed, into a box and one day all of

her letters get sent out. It's about the repercussions of that. It is so cute and so

much fun. I really like Laura Jean as a character although I will say I did

think that she was a little bit childish and I found this with both of the series

I've read by Jenny Han, that her characters do seem a bit childish

for their age. In this book Lara Jean is 16 - there are just certain things that

just really make her seem a little bit childish to me. I still really really

enjoyed this book though. I gave this one a 4.5 out of 5 stars, so it wasn't a full 5

stars because, as I said, I did find her to be a bit childish.

The next book I read was one that I read on my Kindle, and that is

The Distance Between Us by Kasie West

I got this book on Kindle like three years ago when it

was on sale for 99p. I was like: I've heard of Kasie West, I'll add it to my basket!

And, I don't know why, but for some reason I didn't love this book. Like I

was really in the mood for like a cute, fluffy contemporary. I was like this is

gonna be perfect. And then I read it and I was like: that sucked!

I have a written review for this one as well, which I'll link down below.

But if you don't know

what this book is about, this book is about a girl called Cayman and a guy whose

name I've forgotten. Cayman lives with her mother and they kind of have some money

troubles. Cayman's mother was seeing this really rich guy and she got pregnant and

then he kind of like left her to deal with the baby. So her mum's all like "yeah

no I don't like rich people" and Cayman's mother owns a doll shop, and Cayman

works in this doll shop, so one day this boy, whose name I've forgotten, comes into the

shop and things happen from there. But this guy's like super rich so it's like

'oh no it could never happen. There's so much distance between us'. It was just... not

my favorite thing. I just, I don't know why, but I just couldn't connect with the

characters at all and I found them to just be a little bit annoying. So I only gave this

one a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I will link my review down below because

I feel like I expressed my thoughts a little bit more clearly there and I

actually remember the characters names. So yeah I'll link that down below in

case you want to read my thoughts.

The next book that I read was a reread for

me and that was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling.

I reread the first book in July for the biannual bibliothon

and I just had so much fun reading it, that I was like, "you know what? it's time for a

reread of the series!" So I listen3e to The Chamber of Secrets on audiobook

which was a lot of fun. I love this book! If you don't know what Harry Potter is

about... I don't... I can't help you! I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars

obviously! Cuz it's Harry Potter, and I've rated almost every single one 5 stars so...

This was my third time reading the book and I loved it!

The next book that I read

was PS I Still Love You by Jenny Han. This is the sequel to To All The Boys

I've Loved Before. I can't talk about what this book is about because it's a

sequel, but I really enjoyed this one. I also gave this one a 4.5 out of 5 stars

rather than a 5, because I was a little bit annoyed throughout the book. I

think that my problem with this series is that I'm not a huge fan of

the love interest. He's okay, but like, he wouldn't be my first choice

if I were in Lara Jean's position. So I'm like eh. I'm not 100% in it and

I feel like that's why I haven't like adored these books. Like I know 4.5 is

still quite a good rating, but there's just something holding me back from giving it

that five. I think it's because I don't love the love interest. Again Lara Jean

was a bit childish in this book, but I feel like that's just a recurring theme

with Jenny Han's characters - that I'm just gonna find them a little bit childish. I know

you might be thinking like "Samantha you're not sixteen so how can you weigh

in on this?" but like I'm only 18, and like I very clearly remember being 16 and

like I know that I wasn't that childish when I was 16, and I don't know anyone

who was so...

And the final book that I read in the month of August was

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK Rowling, as I said, I'm rereading the

series. I'm loving it so much. This is also my third time reading this book as

well. And I can understand why so many people call this their favorite one in

the series, it rivals my favorite ones. I don't know which one my favourite is so

like I feel like this is the reread where I'll be able to decide. But, I don't know

what it is about this book, I think it may be the combination of Lupin and

Sirius and just the time turner situation, that just makes this one so

fun and magical. I don't know if it's my favourite in the series, but I do love it

and obviously I gave it 5 out of 5 stars. If you haven't read Harry Potter - do it! Do it!

Just do it. Unless you don't like it, in which case... it pains me to say this, but

that's okay, that's your opinion. These were all the physical books that I read

during the month of August. Let me know what you read during August down

Read a historical fiction book. That's okay I have a few

historical fiction books floating around on my shelves at the moment. I have The Girls

which I've been planning to read, and also Salt to the Sea which I'm dying to read.

I'm gonna be able to compete this one. I will! I'll do it! That is my challenge for

September. I'm gonna try and complete that before I go to uni, cuz I feel like once

I go to uni, no reading is gonna get done whatsoever.

Hi this video is about how you can turn your lipstick or liquid lipstick into a

winged eyeliner and don't forget to hit the subscribe button underneath thank

into it did you know that you could use your favorite lipstick or your favorite

liquid lipstick as an eyeliner and it works beautifully you can use your

lipstick to smudge the eyeliner and the wing and you can also use the liquid

lipstick which will dry down as a perfect winged eyeliner for both

techniques you will need to have an angled brush and I'm going to choose the

liquid lipstick because I like to get a beautiful winged eyeliner

choose your favorite liquid lipstick and then you just need to open up the top

and then you can go directly from the applicator with the angled brush and

this will give you a beautiful winged eyeliner if you are going for normal

lipstick then just make sure that you're going to dust some translucent powder

over it so that it sticks to its place if your favorite color is shiny or

metallic color then just make sure that this will dry down by itself as this one

does because then it will keep the shine or the metallic and if you have a matte

lipstick or a matte liquid lipstick then it will dry it down automatically and

with the matte lipstick you can dust some translucent powder over it and it

will mattify the color otherwise if you are going to choose a shiny lipstick

color and you're going to dust some translucent powder over it it will

mattify in the color and then there's no shine anymore

to keep the video short as possible I'm not going to show you how I'm doing it

on the other side because it's exactly the same in a few easy steps you can get

the perfect winged eyeliner and if you're going for a lipstick then you can just

smudge it out and it will be a soft wing or if you're going to take a liquid

lipstick which will dry down and you can get a really nice and sharp wing and for

the like about this trick is that you can choose every color you like so if

you have a favorite lipstick color just go for it and apply it as an eyeliner

because most eyeliners will come in black gray blue green or brown but for

example this metallic shade right here is a perfect liquid lipstick but I can

A white glowing figure was captured on a phone camera in a mosque in Azerbaijan.

A glowing white figure just sitting facing the qiblah probably waiting for the next prayer

time.

But could it be an angel?

Or was it an Islamic Djinn.

Because there are stories around where someone is praying in a mosque and they felt a presence

behind them but by the end of their prayer, the presence disappeared.

Could it have been something like that?

Maybe someone actually took their time to alter the video?

This video makes me think of superhero movies with mutants, but I digress.

It happened in Jakarta, Indonesia.

A figure just jumped in and jumped out being all flashy and glowing.

It was captured by a security camera in 2011 and that was it.

People speculated it to be an angel, extra-terrestrial and more.

It happened really fast and it was definitely humanoid with wings and it was brightly glowing,

so an angel?

Or should we just say its a hoax?

Either way, it was interesting.

27th November 2005, Mexico.

Pedro Avila, a skywatcher aka someone who watches out for any peculiar events that happens

in sky, saw humanoid figures flying.

He recorded the event and sure enough it was definitely something.

As the humanoid figures were pretty far away, zooming in, it just got more blurry.

But you can kinda see around five figures that seemed to phase in and out, shifting

positions in the sky.

Were they angels?

Aliens?

Or maybe even demons trying to mess with our minds?

This sighting happened during the big Japanese Tsunami in 2011.

The tsunami left nearly 20,000 people dead or missing, and was responsible for the Fukushima

nuclear disaster.

The video was taken for a live broadcast during the tsunami in Sendai by NHK.

It was a helicopter view of the devastation.

A peculiar white thing was seen to be flying over the chaos leaving a white trail behind

it.

Some people speculated it being a mysterious creature while some think its a ufo or even

an angel.

What is sure is that, nobody really knows.

Could it really be an angel?

DIVORCE: Mel Bs estranged husband has accused her of being addicted to cocaine. Stephen Belafonte claims the British star's alleged problems were witnessed by their nanny and a marriage therapist.

He said the former Spice Girl had a "habitual and consistent addiction" to the class A drug and booze and claimed it impacted on their marriage and her ability as a mum.

Belafonte, who is being divorced by the singer, backed up his claims with text messages he presented in court filings on Friday.

In the documents, he said: "The biggest reason for my concern with respect to the safety of the children was due to the Petitioner's habitual and consistent addiction to and abuse of cocaine and alcohol.

Stephen Belafonte "To make matters worse, my fear for the children's safety was amplified due to the fact that Petitioner had fired the children's nanny, who had been in the children's lives since 2010 and I did not want Petitioner using drugs and drinking around the children especially without anyone else present to care for the children.

"Petitioner's drinking and drug abuse had been a major issue throughout our marriage and was witnessed by the nanny, the children, and her own therapist, Dr Sophy." It is the latest accusation to arise from the couple's bitter divorce battle.

The Leeds-born singer, real name Melanie Brown, previously accused Belafonte, with whom she has a daughter, Madison, five, of physically and mentally abusing her.

SHOCK: Stephen Belafonte claims the British star's alleged problems were witnessed.

Then it was claimed mum-of-three Mel, 42, led an "extravagant" lifestyle and had "wiped out" her £39million fortune. This week Belafonte, 42, made the new allegations in a declaration which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

He submitted the claims in his attempt to gain access to Mel's daughter Angel, 10, whose father is actor Eddie Murphy.

Film producer Belafonte, who had been married to Mel for ten years before she filed for divorce in March, said the child was unaware of her dad's identity. He wrote: "Angel regularly calls me "daddy" or "dad".

"In fact prior to our separation, Angel had no idea that I was not her biological father." Belafonte also claimed Mel had "agreed upon a plan" of routine drug testing over his fears she was not fit to look after the children.

Dr Charles Sophy, a psychiatrist who acted as an "intermediary" between the couple, wrote a four point plan.

It was said to include Mel taking anti-alcoholism drugs Antabuse and Vivitrol. The papers were filed as a police officer accused of having a "fullblown affair" with Mel was in crisis talks to save his marriage.

Ryan Lawrence, 32, denied claims of a relationship, telling his wife he was helping her with security during her divorce from Belafonte.

Mel has also been accused of falsely branding former nanny Lorraine Gilles, 26, a "homewrecker, prostitute and extortionist" after claiming she had an affair with her husband.

N. Korea's sixth nuclear test embarasses Chinese President Xi Jinping as he hosts BRICS - Duration: 2:25.

North Korea's nuclear test was met with condemnation coming from South Korea, China and Japan.

China condemned North Korea's nuclear test hours after the signs were detected... while

Japan responded in around half an hour... and quickly held an emergency meeting.

Our foreign affairs correspondent Connie Kim has more.

South Korea has strongly condemned North Korea's nuclear test conducted at its Punggye-ri nuclear

test site.

Calling the test irresponsible and unacceptable,...

Seoul said the ball is now in North Korea's court: whether to face diplomatic and economic

isolation or secure security and economic development by denuclearizing.

China... may be one of the countries most outraged by Pyongyang's sixth and most powerful

nuclear test on Sunday as Beijing has been one of the few calling for ''dialogue''' as

preferable to tougher sanctions.

Beijing expressed strong condemnation of North Korea's nuclear test and called on Pyongyang

to stop provocative acts that worsen the situation on the Korean peninsula.

The timing of Sunday's test was a major embarrassment for Chinese President Xi Jinping as he was

hosting the BRICS summit meeting as Pyongyang had ruined China's big celebration it had

long prepared for.

But,... nevertheless, at the BRICS summit's opening ceremony, Chinese President Xi Jinping

called for the pursuit of common interests in the region while recognizing differences...

and stressed his opposition to trying to solve problems unilaterally, hinting Beijing will

continue to call for a peaceful resolution to the tensions.

Japan, within striking distance of North Korea,... was one of the quickest to respond after the

seismic tremor was first detected at around 12:30 p.m., local time.

Around half an hour later,…

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, speaking to reporters outside his residence, said there's

a great possibility that the regime has conducted a nuclear test and that it will be unacceptable

if this turns out to be true.

Abe called for emergency meetings of Japan's national security councils, and its Foreign

Minister, Taro Kono, requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council

after the test was confirmed.

Trump and Abe, in a phone conversation hours before Pyongyang's nuclear test, had reaffirmed

trilateral cooperation among Seoul, Washington and Tokyo... so it's most likely Beijing could

pressured to stronger sanctions it had refrained from... by possibly cutting off oil supplies

to Pyongyang.

Nuu Mobile M3 Budget Android Mobile Review - Duration: 3:52.

Hello this a quick look at the NUU Mobile M3. This is a budget-friendly mobile and

it's got a very large screen considering the low price it's a 5.5 inch screen.

On the bottom we've got speakers, charging port, it's just a microSD port, around one

side is the SIM card and microSD card slot, on the top is a headphone jack and

on the other side is power and volume buttons. Around the back you've got an 8

megapixel camera there's five on the front and you've got a decision to make:

you can either have two SIM cards, so it can be dual SIM, or you can have a SIM

card and a microSD card, but you can't have two sims AND the microSD card.

At the time of review this was running Android 7 and it ran it very well

there's no additional bloatware on this, it's very very slick there's nothing

like swipe to the left to get a new feed or anything like that it's just very

plain, simple, Android and it works very well. it does have the double tap to go to

camera feature that you find on quite a lot of phones these days and you've

got a few options in the camera you've got a beauty mode panorama mode you've

also got various settings you can adjust such as storing the location changing

exposure, it's nice to see manual settings are there if you want to have a

little play with them. So as I said before it's got eight megapixel rear

camera five megapixel front facing camera, the rear facing camera is okay

it's maybe maybe a little bit washed out compared to others I've seen these

aren't as vibrant as they are in real life but it does an okay job.

Video is auto ok on the rear camera it handles movement very well so I moved

very quickly there it doesn't cause the camera a problem, again though the colours,

while they look pretty good, they're not quite as punchy as in real life. Where I

did find a bit of an issue that was on the sound the rear facing camera video

didn't have a problem but you'll hear in a second there's a strange clicking

noise when I record using the front-facing camera.

I tried this before and the sound was clicking away

"click, click, click", a very strange noise and the camera don't really pick up my voice

very well so I just won't do a second test and see if it's the same again. Seems

to be coping very well with motion..

[VOICEOVER] So it didn't seem as bad as on the second video and I've

still not worked out what might be causing it it's a bit of a disappointing

results for the front-facing camera. The bottom speakers could be easily covered

with your hand if you're playing in landscape mode and although it does play

games like Asphalt 8 and kind of high-end games like Modern Combat you

will notice that they're not quite silky smooth as you might like so it's

okay but it is dropping frames and I've seen this run a lot better across a

range of devices so if you are a gamer this perhaps isn't going to be the phone

for you at least so it does have a nice large screen the 5.5 inch screen means

that your hands don't get in the way of using on-screen controls and as I say

the games are playable they're just not as good-looking as I've seen on lots of

other phones. Now if you're not a gamer or a photographer this phone could be the

one for you because actually for consuming content it's really good. The

nice large screen looks great and it's fine for watching videos it's actually

quite nice and clear when you are listening to the video and the screen is

also very clear even in direct sunlight so when you're out and about you can

whip out this phone have a little look and see your messages on Facebook

Twitter whatever else you using and so if you want a wallet friendly day-to-day
