Mr. Beat presents

Supreme Court Briefs

Georgia The 1820s

The Cherokee Nation, which held territory within Georgia's borders, as well as in North Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee, is threatened by the increasing amount of Americans who were trespassing and wanting to straight up take over their land.

Georgia governor George Gilmer, as well as most of the Georgia legislature, made it very clear they wanted the Cherokee out of the state.

In 1827, the Cherokee Nation formally established a constitutional government and declared themselves sovereign, meaning American laws didn't apply to them.

This, of course, angered governor Gilmer and the legislature, and they annexed all Cherokee land in the state, dismantled the Cherokee government, and redistributed much of their land to white citizens.

Not only that, but three years later Congress passed and President Andrew Jackson signed the Indian Removal Act, which gave the President the power to negotiate treaties to remove Native Americans from their lands.

While all of this was going on, white missionaries were working with the Cherokee Nation to help them defend their sovereignty and continue to resist the Georgia laws that was kicking them off their own land.

The Georgia legislature didn't like this so much, so they passed a law that specifically banned "white persons" from living with the Cherokee without special permission from the state.

But several of these missionaries were rebels, you could say- they refused to leave.

Two of them who refused to leave were Elizur Butler, a doctor from Connecticut, and Samuel Worcester,a minister from Vermont.

Local authorities arrested Butler and Worcester for "residing within the limits of the Cherokee nation without a license" and "without having taken the oath to support and defend the constitution and laws of the state of Georgia."

They were convicted and sentenced to hard labor for 4 years as punishment.

Worcester and Butler appealed the decision with the help of lawyers paid for by the Cherokee Nation, and their case ended up going to the Supreme Court.

The Court heard arguments in February 1832.

Worcester and Butler's main argument was that the government of Georgia, by making laws that allowed it to force the Cherokee Nation to do whatever it said, was unconstitutional because only Congress could make treaties and deals with Indian tribes.

On March 3, 1832, the Supreme Court announced it had sided with Worcester and Butler, voting 5-1 in their favor.

Chief Justice John Marshall, aka "Lil' John," delivered the opinion.

He argued the Georgia law was unconstitutional and got in the way of the federal government's authority.

He said, "The Cherokee nation, then, is a distinct community occupying its own territory in which the laws of Georgia can have no force.

The whole intercourse between the United States and this nation, is, by our constitution and laws, vested in the government of the United States."

In other words, he recognized the Cherokee as an independent nation.

Georgia couldn't pass laws controlling Spain or France, so why could they pass laws controlling the Cherokee?

So what did Georgia do in response to this decision?

They ignored it. And Worcester and Butler stayed imprisoned.

And President Andrew Jackson didn't force Georgia to follow the Supreme Court decision, and instead said the Cherokee Nation better get out of Georgia or fall in line with their laws.

Eventually Worcester and Butler were freed from prison only after they promised to stop helping the Cherokee resist the Georgia laws.

In 1835, a faction of Cherokees broke away and secretly signed the Treaty of New Echota, which gave up Cherokee lands in Georgia in exchange for money.

This group claimed to be representing all of the Cherokee, but they were not.

In 1838, the U.S. Army forced almost all remaining Cherokees off of their lands in Georgia and marched them to Indian Territory in what is now Oklahoma.

This was a horrible journey, known as the Trail of Tears, that resulted in the deaths of thousands of Cherokee along the way.

So yeah, kind of a sad ending.

Worcester v. Georgia, however, was still an incredibly important Supreme Court case because it clarified the relationships Native American tribes had with both state governments and the federal government.

It strengthened tribal sovereignty in the United States.

Basically, the Court argued, that even though they reside within the borders of the United States, Native American tribes govern themselves, and can have their own laws.

Too bad Andrew Jackson didn't pay attention to them.

I'll see you for the next Supreme Court case, jury!

So what do YOU think about Indian removal?

Do you think it was a good idea?

Let me know in the comments below.

Ok of course it was a bad idea! It was horrible!

No no no no

Andrew Jackson, you freaking idiot, I'm looking at you. You racist jerk.

Ok, sorry. Andrew Jackson is dead. I don't know why I'm yelling at you.

Rapid Evolution Is Real…These Species Changed in Front of Our Eyes - Duration: 3:10.

The evolutionary process is one that takes hundreds of thousands of years...right?

Not so much.

For some species, we're seeing evolution right in front of our eyes.

This is what's called rapid evolution where major environmental changes in predation,

food, or climate can alter the natural selection to favor genes that were previously disadvantaged.

It can happen in a very short amount of time.

For example, in a period of five years, male Polynesian field crickets in Hawaii lost their

ability to make noise to avoid parasitic attacks.

That is one of the fastest evolutions in the wild ever recorded!

Graduating college can take longer than that!

Basically, one gene mutation led to a very silent cricket, and his silence helped him

avoid the parasitic attacks that were killing his brothers.

The problem is, female crickets like the song, so without it the silent males needed to change

their behavior.

They started creeping on the singing males, mating with those females that would show

up and passed on their mutation.

Boom.

Rapid evolution.

All this happened in just 5 years!

90% of the population is now songless.

This fast-moving evolution isn't exactly what Charles Darwin envisioned back in 1859.

He thought any changes would take many generations, which sounds like a long time -- but it doesn't

have to be.

Darwin knew almost nothing about genetics.

He was simply observing patterns in the wild, but he couldn't pinpoint why or really how

long these things could take.

But now, with advances in modern tech and molecular biology, we can.

Evolutionary biologists can identify and track the exact gene adaptations that species have

over time.

But it ain't the 19th century anymore, and the environment for our planet's little

critters is changing quicker than ever before.

What used to take hundreds of years now can take a few because the animals are keeping

up with their rapidly changing surroundings.

In just 15 years, green anole lizards in florida have evolved to have better grips in their

feet to escape invasive species.

Tawny owls, typically a grey dominant species, are now becoming more brown as winters grow

warmer, and maybe closer to home, in the last 50 years bed bugs have developed stronger

enzymes to make themselves more resistant to insecticide.

You might think you're safe because humans are apex predators, but you're not.

Organisms can acclimate fast, and this includes pathogens that can harm humans, and tumors

that can resist chemotherapy.

So yeah, humans should pay attention to rapid evolution too.

But now that we know about this, the better we can understand how our environment affects

our genes and have a greater chance to create better medicine and other means of improving

our longevity.

We've come a long way from Darwin simply observing finches in the Galapagos, but we

still have a long way to go.

Hey apex predators, like science in your day?

Go ahead and check us out now on Prime Video.

We made it big guys, you can stream all the episodes you love, ad-free, and all in once

place. We'll throw the link in the description below. Fun fact: Darwin went to the Galapagos and

noted how different finches all had different beaks.

Today, we know the gene BMP4 helps determine the different beaks of the birds that Darwin

based his first theories on.

Cool eh.

Or maybe you know

but you're acting like you don't

From your bangs that cover your brows

To your oasis-like eyes

They grab me and don't let me go, it's hurting me inside

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to make myself sleep

Actually, I want to burn

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to start this connection

3 tips on freestyle kick to help you swim faster - Duration: 2:46.

To help you swim faster freestyle we will go over 3 small details of freestyle kick

that can make a big difference.

form.

tempo.

transition.

The form of your freestyle kick will determine how fast you can move.

To have a very effective kick you need to have amazing ankle flexibility.

The more you have the less drag you will create.

And the opposite is true, just look how I don't move with my ankles like this.

Also the knees need to be a little bent while going down and straight while going up.

To do this you need to relax your hamstrings and activate your quads while the leg goes

down and while it is going up activate your glutes, hamstrings, and calves.

After you learn to have a good form when kicking you need to perfect the tempo of your kick.

This can vary depending on the distance you are swimming but the most common tempo is

6 kicks for every 2 strokes.

That is 3 kicks with one leg while one arm does one stroke cycle.

The timing of the kicks is very important too.

Because of the rotation and the movement of the muscles in your core, it is better if

the right leg goes down when the left arm enters the water.

while it is gliding you do another kick and use that momentum to start the pull while

the leg comes down again.

When you swim freestyle, the most effective thing you can do after the turn is to do several

butterfly or dolphin underwater kicks.

This carries the speed of your push.

but the problem most people have is they lose that speed in the transition from uw kicks

to freestyle kicks.

The first few freestyle kicks are extremely important.

They need to be fast and they need to start before the arms start moving.

This also relates to the breakout video we did a while ago.

New Observations Hint that Life is Not Common in the Galaxy - Duration: 6:08.

Hello Space Fans and welcome to another edition of Space Fan News.

You know what's weird?

Life in the Universe.

At least that's current thinking on the subject.

I'm starting to think that life in the universe is not an easy thing to make and this week,

a team of astronomers looking for key elements of life have reported observations that support

my hypothesis.

Imagine this.

Out in the distant reaches of the galaxy is a planet orbiting a star not too unlike our

Sun, it's about the same size, is enveloped by an atmosphere reasonably capable of supporting

life as we know it.

And on the surface are pools of goo, lots and lots of goo, all containing the building

blocks of life but not itself alive.

Here we have a lonely planet, with all of the potential for life to thrive, everything

is there, but it's not alive.

How hard of a step is it to go from that state: a place where all the possibility of life

exists, but not alive - to something that is alive?

I've always suspected, but obviously can't prove, that that step is enormously hard.

Evolutionary biologists can tell us very well what happens to life once it exists, but they

have nothing to say on the subject of how life starts.

Is it a spark that's more or less instantaneous?

Or is it more like an ember that slowly builds over a long time?

No one knows.

If you have all the ingredients laid out and ready, is it inevitable that life will form?

I'm not so sure.

This idea of the commonality of life in the universe has been a really important one for

me these last few years.

If life is easy to start then it'll be everywhere we look where the conditions are favorable.

If we find it on Mars, then that tells me life is everywhere.

Two instances of life forming independently in one solar system is a strong case for life

being common and everywhere.

Well what if not only creating life was hard, but getting all the ingredients together to

make the primordial goo wasn't all that easy?

This week, a team of astronomers from Cardiff University in Wales went looking for a key

element of life-giving primordial goo: phosphorous.

And what they found lends support for the idea that life is hard to create.

Phosphorus is one of the six elements on which biology depends.

The others are carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and sulphur.

Without phosphorus, there would be no adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is the molecule

cells use to transfer energy.

I mean come on, just try to get through a day without your adenosine triphosphate and

you'll see what I mean.

You'll be dragging all day long.

So these astronomers wanted to find out about how phosphorus is distributed around the galaxy

by comparing the amounts of it found in supernovae remnants.

Phosphorus is relatively rare in the universe as it is (which should tell us something as

well about the commonality of life), and is created primarily in supernovae.

But if what little there is is more or less the same everywhere then at least most planets

have a fighting chance of getting some to feed their little critters with.

By comparing observations of the Crab Nebula in the constellation Taurus, a supernova that

occurred in 1054 AD with those of another remnant in Cassiopea A, obviously in the constellation

Cassiopea, the Cardiff team found a significant discrepancy in the amount of phosphorus between

the two.

Cas A had way more phosphorus than M1, the Crab Nebula.

Both remnants are Core Collapse Supernovae, where the middle of the star implodes and

then rebounds very fast, expelling the new elements made.

Right now, their best guess is that Cas A had more reactions that made phosphorus because

the star was more massive or denser, but they aren't sure, just guessing.

So here's the interesting part: ff as yet unknown processes cause some stellar explosions

to produce more phosphorus than others, then life could be isolated to phosphorus-rich

areas of the galaxy.

Now I already know what you're thinking: how can you make these conclusions based on

observations of just two supernovae?

Well obviously you can't, we need to look at way more stellar remnants to get more statistics,

but what a coincidence it would be to find that if phosphorus is spread out evenly everywhere

that the first two we look at are so wildly different in their amounts.

Without letting this story run away reeking with confirmation bias, let me just say I

know this is only two data points, I get that.

But this finding makes sense to me, and of course I'm reserving judgement, but I'

starting to think life in the galaxy is not as common as we all hope it would be.

Well that is it for this episode Space Fans, tell me what you think.

Do you think life is common in the universe?

Why?

Specialsit Summary - Blasters, Cards, Summary - Star Wars Battlefront 2 - Duration: 11:56.

You have less health, and a completely different playstyle, and some of the most useless cards

in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but dang specialist are a ton of fun to play

Bumper

Intro With the new progression system, I've played

a lot of specialist to level it up and finally hit level 70.

Today we're going to talk current version of the specialist, both good and bad, and

we're going to do a quick summary of all the weapons (if you want details they all

have their own break down video), what cards are worth it, which are not, and just general

thoughts on the class.

While specialist can be really rough to play, having less health than the rest, it's really

rewarding when you do well.

The specialist will test your ability to pick your fights wisely and your flanking routes

since every weapon can pretty much 2 shot kill you, and is also better, shockingly,

in the smaller game modes like Blast and Strike than it is in Galactic Assault, at least it

is for me.

Also be sure to check out our partners at Star Wars Gaming.

Net, they just put up a link to a video with some of the new cosmetics that may be coming

out for customization and are a great resource for the Battlefront 2 Community.

Topics When it comes to the weapon choices for the

specialist class they differ from every other class in the game.

None of the specialist weapons besides the A280cfe have drop off at range.

What all the DMR's do at close range, they do at long range, which makes them extremely

reliable.

The a280cfe however suffers drop off, but also is more of your aggressive specialist

weapon and has honestly become my favorite weapon in this game.

When we look at the damage each weapon does, you can see the NT-242 tops the charts, not

only for the specialist but for all weapons available, at 106 damage per round and can

1 shot kill any trooper class with a head shot.

Next we have the NT-242 with disruption shot which does 99 damage per round.

Following the NT-242, the next highest damage is the IQA-11 at 66 damage per round.

With the IQA you can still 1 shot kill specialist with a headshot but not any other class.

When it comes to damage the inital weapon places fourth, with 45 damage per round and

at the bottom of the pack is all versions of the A280cfe which does 33 damage per round

at close range and drops to 25 damage per round at long range.

When you tack on the Ion shot, it's the worst in class for damage at 29 damage per

round at close and 22 damage per round at long range.

Where the a280cfe is worst in class for damage, its best in class in the next two categories,

rounds per minute and rounds available.

The A280cfe with burst gets to 1080 rounds per minute and without it is at 360 rounds

per minute.

The DMR's are the balanced out with thier higher damage by thier slower rates of fire,

the IQA-11 can fire off 150 rounds per minute and the NT-242 while the best damage in Star

Wars Battlefront 2 has the worst rate of fire at 75 rounds per minute.

When it comes to weapons, it all comes down to what your playstyle is.

Obviously if your more of a support, medium to long rage player the NT-242 is your best

option here.

It dominates at medium to longer ranges with the ability to 1 shot kill, but really lacks

up close with the much slower rate of fire and only 3 rounds available.

You can make it work for you at close range at times, but overall, it's not going to

be able to hold up at close range against the other classes.

If you're like me and more of a close to medium range player, the A280cfe with burst

is the best option.

The a280cfe can hold it's own at close range where the other specialist weapons can't

and can still drop the other classes effectively at medium range.

When you start pushing long range, the burst makes it hard to land all the rounds on target

and the damage drop off isn't helping here.

I actually like the a280cfe version over the assaults a280 due to the faster rate of fire

of the cfe.

Again it all comes down to preference though and each weapon has their pros and cons, but

if you're looking to level the fastest way possible I would recommend running the a280cfe

with burst in blast.

Cards

When it comes ot the abilities, the Specialist is lacking in comparison to the other classes.

The specialist abilities are all very situational, so situational, you can go a whole match and

only use infiltration and just ignore the other 2.

The default abilities are a shock grenade, infiltration and thermal binoculars.

The Thermal binoculars recently got a buff, which allows you to spot enemy troops that

you have a line of sight on.

This can give you some battle points and help your team since you can spot groups of troops,

but the downside is you need a line of site, which means they can also see you.

Infiltration has also got a slight buff to rate of fire since the release, it's still

not fast enough, but it's better than it was on release.

The shock grenade hasn't received any buffs and really is just good to toss if you know

someone's hiding around a corner because they will run from it and allow you to take

them down.

Now that we've reviewed the basic abilities, lets take a look at which cards are worth

your time.

For the left ability, the shock grenade, the only card I find somewhat fun to run in it's

place is the repulsor cannon.

This is primarily just to troll players since you will need to fire off both shots with

it so you can change weapons fast enough to take out the enemy player before they get

up and just murder you.

IF you try and manual sqitch weapons it's way to slow and the other player will get

up before you an fire off a shot.

You can also use it on Kashyyyk in blast to knock people off the map, which is just evil

and fun.

With that said, I dont really run it unless I'm really just bored and wanna troll someone.

For the right ability, the Thermal binoculars, the best card to run in this slot would be

the personal shield.

While the thermal binoculars can give you some intel, personal shield really helps keep

you alive a lot longer, and can buy you some time to melee enemies when you eventually

get surrounded.

I do sometimes run the personal shield but i also tend to forget its there or more likely

become to cocky and think I can win a gunfight I really have no chance in winning.

For infiltration, the only version worth running is hardened infiltration.

Hardened infiltration does not decrease the amount of time infiltration is active, unlike

the other 2, and reduces the damage you take.

Now it only reduces the damage by about 30% from my testing and that's really not much,

but if you use infiltration on cooldown, this will reduce the cooldown to 18 seconds, which

really is good.

For non ability modifiers, I use 2 cards pretty much all the time and combine it with one

of the other 3 we talked about.

The first one I always run is the Stealth Card.

This card will increase the melee damage you do up to 120 damage per strike.

This is a 1 shot on specialist and 2 shot on everyone else.

This is great for when you find yourself in close range because you can pretty much panic

knife and get a kill or 2.

It's also a ton of fun to troll with melee only and this is the best card to do it with.

The second benefit of this card, yep there's 2, is that it keeps you off enemy radar when

you fire.

This is huge since you can be behind enemies and fire at them and the red cone wont show

up.

This can confuse some people and give you a few more seconds to land follow up shots

the other classes just don't get.

This card is good for all game modes and all play styles since its always good to remain

off the radar, and even if your sniping, when someone runs up on you, if you can melee them

to death, its very satisfying.

The second card I generally always run with the specialist is the marksman card.

This is due to the cooling on the specialist weapons being bad compared to the other classes

and have the lowest number of rounds available.

If your sniping, this will prevent you from having to manual cool alot since every headshot

kill will auto flush your heart.

If your running the a280cfe, while its not as useful since you wont get as many headshot

kills, every time you do helps keep you in the fight even longer.

Since there's not very many clear options for specialist this one is nice to have around.

For the cards you should never run, its every version of infiltration except the hardened

version.

The killstreak cuts active time from 24 seconds to 13 and at max rank only refreshes 55%.

So you need 2 kills quickly in order to get the same benifit from not having the card

at all, and scrambler tells the enemy your near them by messing up the radar and only

lasts 17 seconds, so a shorter time period.

The other ability cards that improve your default abilities, improved shock grenade

and improved thermal binoculars are also rather useless since the shock grenade again is to

situation and the improved thermal binoculars was changed with the buff to increase time

the spot is active.

Also, bodyguard isn't going to do you much good as a specialist.

Even with the reduction of explosives, almost every explosive over kills you at 100 health,

adding body guard, your still not going to survive, so there's no reason to have it take

up a card slot.

Thoughts on class

Originally I loved the specialist in the beta, they were strong, even with the low health

and infiltration in the beta was definitely OP.

With the release infiltration was nerfed into oblivion and the class as a whole just felt

kind of weak.

While it still feels that way at times, the more you play it, the more fun it becomes.

There are definitely some tweaks that need to be done to some of the cards to make them

more viable options, and it really could do with a minor health boost, even just to 120

would be good, that way hardened infiltration would put the health to around the 150 mark

the other classes have.

This would allow a specialist to at least survive 1 barrage from the officer turret

instead of having it equal an automatic death if hardened infiltration is active.

Also a buff to the damage the stinger pistol does, right now its good to prevent enemy

heroes from healing, and it can kill a specialist with 4 shots, but replacing it honestly with

the flash pistol would be a better option.

This would give the specialist an actual close range weapon that can hold its own and allow

the class to be more versitle.

Outro I hope you guys enjoyed this and appricaite

you taking the time to watch it.

I hope you have an amazing day, and i'll see you in game.

Break a wheel in Africa and half solutions - Duration: 7:10.

With my bike, we are ready to go to Senegal to pick up Kimie.

In this stage we still continue with the Dutch guy.

Hello!

One of the most imported products in African countries is powder milk.

Good morning to everyone!

I just took a bath with small water bags, like this...

We have company. They appeared out of nowhere ...

They are looking what we do...

Folk has one of the...

Oh! Photo? Ok.

They take pictures of us all the time!

We are in a mechanical workshop because his motorcycle is broken.

One of the side side bags was falling.

This part, that support the side bags, was also broken.

They are welding it.

I grabbed a well and broke all the spokes.

I don't know what they are going to do to fix them.

I want to die... (common phrase in Spanish).

The tube of the wheel began to be punctured repeatedly, because they fixed it "halfway". If you are going through hell, keep rolling. Do not stop.

I introduce you the mechanical workshop where my spokes will be repaired.

They want to replace my spokes with those of another wheel.

Because I lost seven.

They want to replace them with those ones.

The big problem is that they never want to tell you the price. I don't know how much they will charge me.

I don't know if I have enough money to pay them.

They have to hold it between two because they didn't find anything better than that to hold my motorcycle.

I think it will not be as strong, but it is what it is.

My wheel moves weird, like that.

Again...

I'm very preoccupied. This is the last tube that I have left.

I don't know if it will resist the trip because the wheel is not ok.

It's costing me a fortune ...

8 misplaced spokes, 3 punctured tubes. 4 USD every repair. Solutions: zero. I cooked and went to sleep. Tomorrow will be another day. The question is whether it will be different than today.

Back the same problem. Back in a mechanical workshop because it was punctured again because of the previous repair.

The same thing will happen again until I change the wheel.

I don't know what to do.

I finally found an efficient mechanic who even checked if the tube was punctured by submerging it in water.

And I am really happy.

The new mechanic was wrong and put the front tube on the back wheel. The tube punctured again and I repaired it. Here if you don't supervise then you have surprises. It's better to understand mechanics. I put a rubber protection inside the wheel. The tube didn't get punctured again, for now.

I arrived in the region of Casamance and an expat recommended me a mechanic in the city. He proposed half solutions. I left the city without repairing my bike. 200 km without puncturing. I will continue the journey until I find a good mechanic. In Africa the problems are solved if they don't allow you to continue your journey. Otherwise, you keep rolling.

At least he is neat and didn't put the chain on the ground.

That gives me a good feeling.

Hello! I just finished my meditation. I'm in Amigo Bay in Cap Skirring.

In the south of Casamance, Senegal.

My bike is still half broken.

I drove 200 km without puncturing the tube. I will continue like this.

In two days I will meet Kimie again.

We will travel together to Guinea Bissau, after traveling alone for more than a month.

The adventure continues to the south!

How to make a BIRDHOUSE: S1 E3 - Duration: 10:26.

hello there welcome to a workshop so hey spring is literally just right around

the corner and in preparation for spring a lot of people like to put birdhouses

out in the yard so in this episode of B&O craftsmen DIY we're going to be

making bird so far a lot of the projects that I've done on this show has

basically been a skill level 3 this is going to be a skill level 1 because

you're gonna have kind of a requirement for a very minimal amount of skills but

I'm going to add a little twist at the end to kind of make it a little bit more

interesting for those of you who wanted a little bit more of a challenge but

this is coming straight from a book that I have and I just acquired this from one

of my grandparents and it's all about birdhouses so I found a design in here

for a simple birdhouse and so I will put a link or actually I'll post a picture

of this on the website so that you can download the same template and build it

the same way that I'm doing so let's go ahead and get started so for this

project you're going to need two boards from your hardware store and when you're

going to look for these boards you want to make sure you find 3/8 of an inch

thick and I went ahead and grabbed two of these that are 36 inches long and 6

inches wide they're actually 5 and 1/2 so in my measurements I've made some

adjustments on the plans so that they will match what we're actually building

so the first step that you're going to want to do is go to my website and if

you can find that by going into the description of this video

and then following the links to download the plans for this birdhouse and then

cut out every board according to the plan that I have provided for you

so here's a really good tip that you might want to know before you go ahead

and cut the sides of this birdhouse when you're trying to cut the same cut twice

so for instance in this side we've got an angle for the top of the birdhouse

instead of cutting it once and then trying to trace the exact measurement on

the next board here's trick what you want to do is take

them together and then take some painters tape and then tape them

together but make sure you tape them together nice and tight and make sure

all the edges are lined up and then all you got to do is make the cut one time

and that will ensure that you have a perfect match for both sides of your

birdhouse

and now the next step is to take the front piece and then still using our

plans mark out where the holes are going to be for our dowel and for the hole for

the bird to go through

and then go ahead and drill a quarter inch hole and then they hole an inch and

a half before we go any further we're gonna want to cut our piece of dowel to

stick in this and we're going to cut this dowel to be an inch and a half in

length and also one thing to note this dowel is actually one size bigger than

the hole and the reason for that is we want this to be tight so that there's no

play and it won't come out and you don't really have to use any glue although I'm

still going to use glue just to make it you know definitely I won't have a

problem I don't want to have this thing come out in years to come so this is

actually a 5/16 piece of dowel cut that off and just to give it a little bit of

an ease to go in I'm going to just kind of chamfer the edge of the DAO a little

bit with some sandpaper and as I said for a little precaution I'm just going

to add a dab of glue not a lot just something to give it a little bit of

protection even though this is gonna be nice and tight you know through the

years that could potentially become weaker then we're going to sit there and

hammer it in

and wipe off this excess of glue and that part is done much better to do that

before you assemble your birdhouse so for the next step to this birdhouse I'm

gonna take my scrap board here that I kind of do painting and staining and and

all sorts of things on and lay that on my workbench just to give me some

protection from the glue because what we're gonna do now is glue this up so I

would advise that before you glue this up you're gonna want to make sure that

everything fits right so what you want to do is what we call a dry fit and a

dry fit is simply exactly what that means you want to take all the boards

that you have for every side and just you know try to hold it by hand making

sure that everything lines up correctly this bottom piece should fit within the

bottom of your birdhouse and the side should go against as a side not on it

like this but on the sides and if you do that correctly and everything lines up

you should not have extra gaps and extra holes and things of that nature should

line up pretty good and right now I would say I'm good to go so I'm going to

put some glue on these and then go ahead and clamp it up and let that set

overnight

now the next day it's time to put the roof on this Burton house and the best

way that I like to do it it's just to turn it upside down and then all you got

to do is eyeball the center a relatively the center I like to have a little bit

hanging off the front more than the back and then just trace that around and then

what I'm gonna do is when you want to mark how thick the boards are on the

inside essentially we're just tracing enough of the board onto the wood so we

know where to put our holes for our nails have access to this in the future

you could put some finishing nails or screws in this to make it easier to take

the top off to clean it out I chose these nails just because it was

something simpler and the heads were much smaller than a screw head now on to

making the hanging part of this we wanted to take the two pieces we cut out

at the beginning of this video and glue these together

now everything is dried we're going to just give it a little chamfer on the

edges to kind of take the edge off so you don't have a sharp edge there just

makes it easier to handle and we're gonna want to make hole right in the

center of the end piece and I'm just gonna drill out a hole with an eighth

inch bit and then chamfer it off you don't have to chamber it but it does add

to the appeal of this and then two more holes to attach it to the back and I

used stainless steel screws to attach this to the birdhouse so that they will

not rush now all that's left to do is just a little bit of sanding and I mean

a little bit I mean a lot want to try to hit every corner on this thing to make

it a little bit smoother keep touch and then I decided to paint mine Brown you

could paint yours any color you would like and just like that this project is

all done was really relatively simple and I hope that you were able to build

this alone if you were let me know in the comments

below love to know if you built this or you're planning on building it this

spring you know with the spring right around the corner I've got myself a

birdhouse ready to go so I want to thank you for watching this episode of being a

craftsman DIY and I will see you next time in my workshop

Être parent vegan en France - Duration: 15:05.

Hi this is Chloe from Veggie Magnifique and today we're talk about food for

our hungry little veggie kids. So sometimes it's not easy to be a vegan mum (or dad) in

France because France is a country that is still full full of old ideas about

food - it's changing, fortunately, there is

change in the air, but there still remains a certain resistance when it comes

to changing food habits.

Unfortunately in France when you say you're vegan - outside of the big cities -

you get looked at as if you're from Mars. Things are changing, thankfully

more and more quickly I hope, but it's even more frowned upon when you

say you're a parent because the next question is always "So will your child be

vegan too?" as if it's a kind of religion that is imposed on one's child. But

the thing that people don't take into account is that a child's education

is imposed - values are imposed, and this is all the better - since we as adults have built our

value system around what we think is the best

way to approach life - thank goodness parents are present

to educate children about what's ok and what's not ok. And then those

who still eat animals and drink their secretions when we

know now that it harms your health and the planet -

do they impose their beliefs to children? Is it not an imposition

also to educate them as carnists? I dream of the day when being

carnist will be seen as really weird. Because it is weird.

Anyway I'm not going to get upset but I'm already building my shell and my biggest

smile to face people who ask me questions about

the education I'm giving to my little one. And I remember every time that

if they ask these questions it's just because they're worried because

of the the weight of lobbies, and misinformation, and so when people

grandparents or such ask you the question about diet - is it

the best thing for your child

to not give him meat, he will not die from a lack of protein?

You have to be armed with information, the scientific facts and a big

smile. There are two books I have received that

help one to feel a little less isolated - I have these two cookbooks.

The first is for right now, because my baby is only eight months old

so I give him recipes for Hungry Littles Veggies - look how

cute that little girl is - it's a book by Marie Laforêt and Ludovic

Ringot, which covers the diet from 0 to 6 months

that's not true - from 0 to 6 years - so they share a very

interesting nugget in the introduction of this book. "Vegetarians

are subject to a need for results where the smallest cold is an the occasion to

challenge their diets"- Oh my god, that's absolutely it.

When you eat differently, right away the diet is

questioned, whereas for a child who eat nuggets and fish

fingers and packaged foods, or even just dairy products that are

stuffed with antibiotics and hormones -they get sick and

nobody is questions their diet - it's a mystery. And so in this book there is

an introduction to the vegetarian diet for children,

to reassure parents that there is no problem,

as long as you're supplementing in vitamin b12 and follow a

varied and balanced diet, just like for everybody else. And there are loads

of recipes with beautiful photos

these kind of recipes for babies, after there are the first real

meals with chunks, for when he is bigger, then after it's 3 to 6 years old.

Little gourmet recipes, colourful,

with lots of vegetables in them. There are little pancakes, a pear banana milkshake -

"milk" -shake - it's made with oat milk. It's beautiful, I want to try all of these recipes. In

fact what's great about these books is when I think about making these

meals with my child when he is bigger

a little tear comes to my eyes, imagining us

cooking together and giving his little tastebuds yummy,

cute and beautiful food. And so at home we are breastfeeding on

demand - he feeds 6 to 10 times a day. We co-sleep,

so he feeds during the night too. And then for lunch and dinner, it's

purees made from different vegetables and we add a vitamin B12 capsule

which is micro dosed - 10 mg. It is by the brand 'Sunday Natural', and we open it

because he can't swallow a capsule - we open the capsule into the

purée. We mix it in, and then we add a small spoonful of

very good quality oil for cover his essential fatty acids.

So this is the book that taught me to put a

little bit of oil into his purées. And in his purees we sometimes add a small

spoonful of cereals made for babies to thicken them, and also to

expose him to gluten so with cereals like oats or wheat, because

between six and eight months apparently you need to

introduce gluten so that he doesn't end up coeliac. And then for the

dessert often we give him mashed banana with other fruits.

And then I have lots of green smoothies - every day I have a

green smoothie and he looks at them with such a curious eye that I

am obliged to give him some - and green juices also

kale and spinach - he's crazy about that - green smoothies and green juice

are his bag. So I'm pretty proud about that. And so the

focus in this book and the one that follows - Veggie Kids - is that it's super

healthy to be a vegetarian. It is not just that it's not harmful to

to raise one's child as a veggie, but it's also good for them because they're going

to eat all the more dietary fibre,

because there will be more vegetables in their diets,

because they will not eat dairy products that are

filled with antibiotics and hormones and GMOs. And besides, even if this milk or the

dairy products came from a cow that was so-called 'happy' and not filled with

drugs, milk remains an inflammatory and allergenic food - that

compromises health, and your child's immune system.

So if your child gets sick often,

if he has a permanent runny nose or cold - stop the dairy products

and you will see. And so here is the second book, Veggie Kids, by Sophie

Cottarel, Marie Laforêt and Ophélie Veron - it's a beautiful book

I just love it - it is full of absolutely beautiful

recipes. Here's an example: curry Tofu Peanut Curry with coconut milk and vegetables.

In fact I'm going to make this tonight for my guests because we're all

big kids after all. Birthday cake, vegetable pancakes. Oh look at these

rainbow unicorn ice creams. Talking of unicorns

there is something there that I absolutely have to show you - the Magic Bowl.

In fact it looks like a unicorn pooed in a bowl. I have

never thought about chopping my carrots into star shapes but I'm going to start

doing it. It is beautiful and frankly every

recipe I want to make for myself and I think I'll do it

because my little one is very small still, he's not going to eat all that, and so

I have the next few years to practice and test the recipes.

To make sure they're good. For example, these biscuits here should be tested to

make sure they're good before giving them to one's child.

Oh yes, there are bentos for all seasons, Winter Bento for example,

that are beautiful and that you could do for a lunchbox for your children.

But the French government would need to remove

their ban on going to school with a packed lunch.

But seriously, what the **** - what is it this ridiculous rule? Apparently -

so I learnt it in this book - and it drives me crazy - you can't go to school

with your lunch box - why? So you have two choices: you have the canteen ... and I actually

learned in this book that canteens are obliged by law to include

animal protein in their meals - obliged by law to include animal proteins.

Does that not cry 'lobbies' to you? This makes me crazy! There is one solution -

a doctor's note - so you present a doctor's note

saying that your child is allergic to this or that,

so he cannot eat at the canteen, and therefore he has the 'right' to

to eat his packed lunch. And so I think I'll write

on mine that my child is allergic to totalitarian states... or to

lobbies ... yes, my child is allergic to lobbies. Or else you have to be able to

pick them up for lunch at home.

And that's not easy to do. And especially in this country that is

obsessed with secularism - why not make a lay meal? The

perfect lay meal is the vegan meal, because it suits Muslims,

Jews, Christians - everyone. Why don't we do that? Oh yes, I know why,

it's the lobbies. Also in the introduction there is a whole

chapter on nutrition and advice. It's very complete, there are

nutritional tables, and then my favourite part - the little portraits of

veggie kids who are too cute, and that's the portrait of

Sophie Cottarel's family (who co-wrote the book) and she answers questions - look

at her children, they're so beautiful - for example questions like

"is it not too difficult with your children's friends?"

"how did your loved ones react when you announced that your children would be

vegan?", "what are your favorite recipes at

at home?" and there are loads of gorgeous pictures. Children who have

chosen to be vegan. How cool is that? I think it's cool.

So this is Milena, she's 11, and "she is not afraid to assert her

convictions and raise awareness about animal rights. With these

committed young vegans only one thing is certain - the new generation is going

change the world." Oh yes! Thank you Milena. What is really great in this book

is that it gives you lots of practical tips for managing

your entourage - family, other children, how to

approach life as a vegan family in a country that makes it

a little bit difficult. And for the packed lunches

I am so confused about this aspect because in England

everyone goes to school with their lunchbox, and it's even great

because everyone has their little lunchbox,

and they assert their personality with their lunch box, it's often got

things like Spiderman or Minnie Mouse on it,

or other characters from cartoons

that kids love, and so everyone is very proud of their packed lunch

and then inside there's always a surprise - what did dad or mum

put in my lunchbox this morning. I would even say it was the children of

unworthy parents who ate at the canteen because that would mean that the

parents did not want to take the time to make them a packed lunch in the morning.

And apparently it's the same thing in Germany, and in Belgium as well

and it's very normal to go to school

with a packed lunch, and these are cultures that see the positive side of eating

vegan, which even encourage it. Why, once again, is France is a kind of island of

old ideas and old certainties, surrounded by progressive countries

which are open, which are trying to make positive change. I'm not saying that

it's perfect in those countries but at least there isn't

this mistrust of people who eat differently and who educate their

children differently. And so it's thanks to books like this one or like this one

that standards will evolve. This book is a treat and this one is too and so I

encourage you to discover these two books and also look online

look at the different vegan recipes for kids. Because the

thing is that you know that being vegan is a gift you give to

yourself and your children, and it can be yummy,

it can be super healthy, it can be colourful. But it's simply that others

need to see this too. That's how we're going to change belief systems and help

our culture evolve. So there you have it, I'm off to

go and enjoy my Coconut Milk Peanut Tofu Curry, and I will see you

next week on Veggie Magnifique TV - bye!

The Release of My Mahafsoun *DRAGON SKIN* Handbag & Wallet | Avelina De Moray - Duration: 15:32.

hey everyone Avelina De Moray here, welcome back to my channel. I'm going to

tell you all about my newest handbag for Mahasoun, So let's just get straight

into it and I'm going to show you straight away oh my god

it is beautiful and it's been so much fun watching my half soon and all the

other girls get their bags this week and do their live on boxing's on Instagram

and Facebook and things like that it's always lovely for me to see that so if

you don't know whom I have seen is go and check her out on Instagram and

Facebook she has thousands hundreds of thousands of followers and she's

absolutely beautiful she works with all of the top brands in our little goth

subculture she really has that classic goth look but she's got a bit of a

Middle Eastern edge to it obviously judo and nationality and it just works really

well so that's why our bag has in a little bit of an Egyptian feel to it

because that's very near and dear to her heart and the color scheme for this bag

is black and purple because they are also her two favorite colors now because

I had done black and purple previously for RiRi Phillips I did go out of my way

to make sure that I didn't repeat myself I wanted it to be very different and I

think I did that I'm really happy with the shape I think it's pretty unique and

it's heaps practical as well because of the size of it that is 15 centimeters

wide and I've already got stuff inside it like the matching wallet that I will

show you in a second so as well as being just timelessly beautiful it's really

practical as well and that's important because these are everyday handbags so

when I first set out to design something for my half soon it's a bit of a funny

story here we had a Skype conversation as most

collaboration stopped and she threw purple at me she said she loves fantasy

mythology the UNK symbol but there was a specific vampire one that was on like a

different play on the traditional Egyptian one if we were going to use

spikes they would have to be silver she adored velvet as well I was kind of

leaning towards making her whole bag out of velvet but she said she wanted it to

be really durable and long-lasting so I still managed to incorporate little

elements of velvet without making the whole bag velvet but if you do what an

entirely go back changing the subject for a

second I have already designed a old velvet wallet for viola you may know who

user name as we are left I will link it down below so you can see who I'm

talking about but that is going to be entirely velvet coming up very soon so

design wise she just threw things that she liked at me and then I went off and

did my thing and came back actually this was the second thing that I came back

with so the funny story was that I had a different design and I was trying out a

different manufacturer as well just cuz it looked like they were going to be

heaps cheaper but I found out why anyway they made a bag and it didn't resemble

my design at all and my Hobson and I affectionately referred to it as our

nipple bag because the stunts that they used I've never seen stuff like this in

my life anyway they were like the pointy ones like this but the tip of it was

like a different color so it just was shape it looked like two nipples and

they were massive like I said like petite one point five centimeter ones

and they put on like full centimeter and just the way their position them making

them look like a wreck little nipples and so yeah we just ended up calling it

the nipple bag it's really nice it's very different this company did not

stick to my design at all so yeah I just I walked away from them that is the same

company if you remember made me the jerk Macon's backpack sample and put the

canary yellow interior in it yes I haven't worked with them again if any of

you are interested in seeing slash of buying that first may have seen sample

it is still in my showroom over here so just yeah message me on Instagram or

Facebook and if you want to buy it it's completely one-of-a-kind it really is

anyway so after that I really did like the first design but it was very small

might have even been smaller than a clutch it was just like a little carry

bag person and I was so scarred by that experience I said babe look I need to

start fresh we need to move away from the direction of nipples and and just

start again so yeah second attempt that I came up with this and I'm so glad that

I they happen because I'm in love with

this and it in my opinion it is so much better than what I did the first time

the UNK here is well the vampire hunk is embroidered on top of this gorgeous

purple what we are calling Dragon Skin no real dragons were harmed in the

making of this back yeah and it's it's almost well it is metallic isn't it look

Kevin light catches it it is just beautiful so yeah let's just have a chat

about the bag but it's made from how much it is how you can get your hands on

it cuz I know you want to and I know many ladies have already ordered it so

thank you for that we will need to get a 75 for this one I think we're on like 15

already so that's good that's good considering this video isn't even out

yet and I have soon just got hos the other day and she hasn't done any

promotion yet so it would be very exciting when all that starts so

completely unprepared again just seems to be how I roll I have not measured

this bag but I will put the measurements on my site very big it's just heaps huge

let's go with that I do know it's 15 centimeters wide so that is pretty

massive it tapers in but not too much so you can still fit a lot of crappy and it

so several ways that you can handle this space you can literally just carry it by

the handle or link it onto your hand I'll add in some footage of me wearing

it so you can kind of get an idea how you might style it as well and it also

comes with a a removable change strap which is the same faux leather as the

bag it's really soft its padded as well and it spot chain so again that is

completely removable from the d-rings on the side there and the little clasps or

really good quality and really sturdy so they won't break on you the back of the

bag has a handy zipper and I believe I haven't actually checked this yet oh yes

it is also lying look at that with purple satin isn't that beautiful

so that's a really good go-to pocket for things that you just need to get to

quickly when we open up the lid we have a beautiful makeup mirror and the patch

man have seen by abilene added more that is me the inside of this bad boy is

a black velvet it is so soft and it's just disappearing inside the camera

there so I already got some stock in there you can see it fits a lot of stuff

so let's see what I have inside and then I will show you the interior of it as

well so some of you are going to ask me I know will the death candy coffin

wallet fit inside them I have some back yes it most certainly will it will also

fit inside the Goblin queen handbag and it will also fit inside the Black Friday

large handbag as well it will not however fit inside the Beatrice Mariana

back just by about a centimeter so I have them a half suit in the wallet in

there as well which I will show you in a second I had my phone and a big phone at

that which will fit in this slip I'll just show you that seeing how there's

one of those little sachets there so I've got an iPhone 8 plus that will just

fit in there and not stick out the top of the bag and that's about the biggest

phones get these days but that's great that that fits in ok the interior is

pretty simple so you can put a lot of stuff in there it's lined with black

satin so you've got the two little slips here ones tighter ones a little looser

and you've got a back interior pocket there all of this again is lined with

really thick GSM Saturn really luxurious and we've just got a little zipper

pocket there a really lovely feature of all of my near handbags as well is that

I'd put feet on them it's just yet it will make them last a little longer and

just makes them feel really high-end I love the detail on the handle here as

well so see how I made it look like a little a little belt forget that little

flap there all of the hardware on this guy is silver chrome so it will never

fade so here we've got this velvet Bordeaux which just looks awesome and it

is adorned with tiny little studs I wanted some kind of understated

embellishment so I really liked that there playing it was just too plain and

my company put big studs on I'm like no it's too much to something small so that

worked really really well here again that is embroidered so we've got the

vampire hunk their little silver pointy studs there there's no way that they're

going to bump you or anything like that it's the back of the bag again it is a

really soft faux leather both my have soon and I said the same thing when we

first felt sit we're like damn that is really soft and white to you guys see it

in person it's lovely I love other side stick out it's just a really cool shape

so happy that I ended up redesigning this for her this is one of my more

elaborate bags today and I was a little scared to get the manufacturing quote

but I said to myself you know what just make the coolest bags that you would

want to buy yourself and then I'm sure other people in the world will also

during in with my excitement and want to purchase them too so I'm not about

making mundane cheap products I want to make hopefully limited-edition not too

limited but fairly limited really unique high quality bags and also cuz we're

getting such little quantities you hear me talk about that all the time the

press goes up so the quote was about what I expected it to be and it puts the

retail price for this bad boy at a hundred and eighty 999 Australian

dollars please don't freak out you can lay by it and I love this so many of you

are they buying it because you know that I need your money from the pre-orders to

pay for the bulk order but the thing is it's going to take us a few months to

get to 75 so it doesn't matter if you pay me over two months you know that's

fine and if that helps you help get the bag at the end of the day you're helping

out my half soon and I so I'm all for it and I'm super thrilled that I'm able to

offer lay-by and also after pay to my Australian and New Zealand customers if

you were to set up a lay-by that would be less than maybe fifty dollars every

two weeks for two months so that's quite reasonable so if you want to set up a

labour I just head on over to my website and when you are at the payments page

don't select PayPal select lay-by powered by PayPal and that's the option

that you want to do I have a video on my channel where I placed a dummy order at

my online store to show you how to set up late some thing that's confusing you

just yes my my channel I'm put in labor I'm sure

that will come up I've also got a lay-by information page

at my website under the info tab sometimes people get confused by lay-by

so even if you lay by a product that is in stock right now it won't ship until

you pay it off it's the same as a lay-by in a store they don't give you the goods

until you pay it off we're after pay is like after pay pay me straightaway and

then you pay them off so it's kind of like a different scheme so something I'm

heaps excited about is the matching my half soon wallet now just before I show

you I need you to use your imagination and pretend that there is a embroidered

vampire hunk on the front because we've decided to add this but the sample I had

made which is lovely does not have that but it's still absolutely stunning so I

was going to go with just that but then we started getting a lot of requests

saying hey can you add down the ankh the only reason I'm not purchasing the set

is because it's not the air and at first I was like it's not matching enough but

yeah you all seem to want at home and the poll was like 99% said yes once

inside no so when this goes into Bob production it will have the matching

hunk a smaller one obviously like a little baby uncle so they are in every

way now a complete matching set let's have a look at this wallet because this

video is also about the launch of this so this bad boy is 69.95 it is black

velvet on the inside to match the underneath lid of the bag and the same

soft faux leather all of my bags are vegan I haven't mentioned that yet in

this video so far so all of the materials are faux and we have the same

maja soon by Evelina de Morais symbol right there this is the same layout as

my other wallets so it's got plenty of compartments there for your ID more card

storage here slots there for your notes a middle zipper and also a back zipper

there I believe this should also be lined the same purple look at that just

gorgeous if you love black and purple this set is going to be for you some

other really exciting news is that when I am in LA next month in April the end

of April my house soon is coming to stay with me and my best friend Lisa for I

think three days so we're busy planning what we're going

get up - we will try our best to arrange a meet and greet I don't know how

realistic that is when we only have three days and we want to do a lot of

filming so everybody on YouTube can watch that rather than people coming to

meet us that are just located in LA but I know a lot of you have been asking

about it so I will have another chat to her and see if we can fit that into our

busy schedule I know we want to go to Universal Studios I am absolutely dying

to go on the Harry Potter ride again that blew my mind seriously I'm going to

go on that 14 times at least another thing someone else just told me about

yesterday was a Tim Burton themed restaurant called beetle house so heaps

excited to go there and there's a whole bunch of other girls as well that I've

become friends with on Instagram that I'm hoping I might be able to meet as

well as a lot of them are kind of nearby in like an hour or two of LA where we're

going to be based in Hollywood so that's christina one and only Alice Lockhart

from YouTube you guys know her Minka Gill who I've mentioned a few times she

sent me that gorgeous coffin ring and she is a coffin girl herself and if

there's anyone else that I'm forgetting about this in LA please message me I'd

love to meet as many people if I can while I'm there I'm also super excited

that Nick's Wednesday I'm going to Sydney it's just a short flight from

Tang worth it literally just takes an hour but I'm gonna hang out with Black

Friday she is a long stopover in Sydney so we are going to hang out it's going

to be lovely over the next six weeks or so to meet so many girls that I'm

designing these bags for so he was excited about that I feel like I'm

skimming over things a little bit but at the same time I also feel like I'm just

focusing on the shit that's important rather than talking a lot of crap and

wasting your time like you can see it's absolutely gorgeous

the quality is insane I cannot wait to see photos of my half soon with this bad

girl and I will get one to film some footage of me now so you can see how

sexy it looks when wearing / holding it so please help us get some our pre-order

quota if you love this bag preorder it head on over to my website right now

place that order help us get to 75 I'm going to push it until we out there and

then even then once then bag and I'm gonna push it even more so you might as

well just bite the bullet and buy one no you want to thank you so much for

joining me make sure you add me on Instagram if you aren't already we did

hit 10,000 between the last video I put on on this video and now it already I'm

WINNER - 손만잡고자자 (TURN OFF THE LIGHT) M/V - Duration: 3:17.

I'm using all my strength to hold myself back

But you don't notice anything

Or maybe you know

but you're acting like you don't

Your two legs are pretty and soft

From your bangs that cover your brows

To your oasis-like eyes

They grab me and don't let me go, it's hurting me inside

Ain't nobody knows

Memorize the national anthem

Or else I'll regret it tomorrow

Unless you insist on starting again

I won't stop you

Little girl

take those, those, those

lips away from me

I'm not pure, baby

with all my strength

My manly instincts are beating

The devil's whispers are igniting me

You started this,

I can't stop it

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to make myself sleep

Actually, I want to burn

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to start this connection

Truthfully, I want to go all the way

You know, you might want this too

Subtle tension under bed sheets

We've already swallowed the fruit of good and evil

It's natural to be scared, starting is the halfway point

Pretty faces cause misgivings

Hold up

I am having wild fantasies on my own

I am a natural calamity to your pure self

I don't know,

my thoughts are running wild

Little girl

take those, those, those

lips away from me

I'm not pure, baby

with all my strength

My manly instincts are beating

The devil's whispers are igniting me

You started this,

I can't stop it

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to make myself sleep

Actually, I want to burn

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to start this connection

Truthfully, I want to go all the way

Child, go to sleep

Adults can't fall asleep

My desire keeps growing

I lower my head

Child, go to sleep

Adults can't fall asleep

Pulsing, pulsing, my head hurts

Good night

Let's just hold hands and sleep

I want to make myself sleep

Actually, I want to burn

Let's just hold hands and sleep

Truthfully, I want to go all the way

📝 The Chainsmokers - Everybody Hates Me Lyrics

Yeah, let's do it again but, uh, this time, uh, let's go full psycho

Yeah, I just want to drink tequila with my friends

She said she cheated 'cause she's tryna get ahead

The more I read it, yeah, the more I take offense

I'm so defeated, I can't get outside my head I post a picture of myself 'cause I'm lonely

Everyone knows what I look like Not even one of them knows me

Yeah, I just want to drink tequila with my friends

I'm so defeated I just want this shit to end

So I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I'm talkin' to myself, shit, now they think I'm crazy

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me (everybody hates me)

Like everybody hates me

Like everybody hates me (everybody, yeah)

I'm a product of the internet Now, I'm face to face with all the voices

in my head I can't even check the time without facing

regret Why do I still have to mean everything I ever

said And I'm not trying to be like "poor me," I

made it I'm just trying to stay normal now that they

know what my name is Yeah, I just want to drink tequila with my

friends They're the reason that I stared at who I

am

So I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I'm talkin' to myself, shit, now they think I'm crazy

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me (everybody hates me)

Like everybody hates me

Like everybody, everybody hates me (everybody, yeah)

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

I walk into the club like, everybody, yeah Everybody (everybody)

I walk into the club like, everybody, yeah Everybody (everybody)

I walk into the club like, everybody hates me

How To Increase Battery Life On Android! (No Root) - Duration: 6:35.

I wanted to revisit this topic since I did make a video on this way in the past on my

YouTube Channel, so today I'm going to show you some ways you can get more juice out of

your android device.

If your device is rooted you can watch my other video which will give you some extra

tips to increase your battery even further, but apart from that, let's get into the

video.

So if you are noticing bad battery drain the first thing you should look at is what is

draining your battery.

If you go into your devices settings and tap on battery and go to battery usage, you'll

be able to see what apps that are draining your battery, if you see an app taking up

most of your battery, you can view how long it's been running in the background but

if the app has been using a lot of battery you can have the option to disable background

activity from that app.

The only other option I would recommend is to uninstall that app from your phone.

One thing that consumes a lot of battery life is the display, to save some more juice I

recommend turning off adaptive brightness so your proximity sensor doesn't have to

continuously scan the lighting environment to adjust your phones brightness.

By turning off this setting, you will have full ability to adjust your brightness.

If you use a live wallpaper on your home screen, try changing to a static wallpaper.

If you are lucky and have an amoled display, try change to a pitch black wallpaper as this

will reduce the amount of battery power on your home screen.

Most android phones come built in with a battery saver option which can give you more juice

out of your battery however I wouldn't totally recommend it because it disables animations

and other features such as night light, in all fairness, it doesn't give the user a

great overall experience but if you absolutely need more juice out of your phone, then do

use it.

I would also recommend disabling services such as WIFI, Bluetooth, Mobile Data, Mobile

Hotspot and others like that when you are not using them, and if you are going to bed,

try and enable airplane mode, this will save you some power overnight.

If you use Google Maps a lot, you would know that it uses location a lot, I would consider

changing your location to battery saving mode instead of high accuracy, or you can just

turn off location.

Also turn off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning, this will save you some battery

too.

Another thing that could be the cause of battery drain is the amount of applications that you

have on your phone, try to uninstall apps or games you don't hardly use, this also

applies with photos.

Google photos has an option to upload your photos to the cloud which therefore as a benefit

saves more space on your phone.

Also try to disable app notifications from those power demanding apps.

Facebook and Twitter offer lightweight versions of their full fledged applications which can

drastically improve performance and battery life.

I'll leave links in the description for you to install them on your phone.

You can try other alternatives of your favourite apps such as a different web browser.

I use Via Browser which is an extremely light web browser for android devices.

Talking on the subject of apps, try and clear your devices cache once and a while, you can

do this by going into settings, storage, and clear cached data.

One feature that is totally worth disabling is app updates, you can disable that by going

into the Google play store settings and tapping on Auto update apps and tap on do not auto

update apps.

By turning this feature off your apps won't be constantly updating in the background.

While you are there, tap on notifications and disable notifications on this device only.

A small tip I would recommend is to turn off haptic feedback.

To do this, go into your phone's settings, tap on sound and turn off vibrate on tap.

If you do use a cleaner, booster app on your phone such as Clean Master that claims to

make your phone faster, I would highly recommend that you uninstall those apps only because

they can be heavy in the background and in all fairness they just make your phone slower.

The Android Operating system allows us users to place widgets on our home screen which

is great if you for example want to quickly check your emails, however having a lot of

widgets on your home screen can impact your devices battery life and performance, I personally

use one widget on my home screen which mimics the at a glance widget found on the Google

Pixel 2.

One thing I notice a lot of people do on their android phones and it's that they close

apps in the background from the overview menu which you should not do, and I'll tell you

why…

The Android Operating operating system manages which apps can be opened and which apps can

be closed in the background, and by you swiping apps away it technically makes your phone

work harder to launch those apps open again.

I would only recommend closing apps if they misbehave or force stop themselves, but on

a day to day basis you don't need to swipe apps away from the overview menu.

Now if all of those tips I mentioned in this video didn't work for you then the only

other suggestion I would say is that you would need to replace your phones battery.

If your phones battery is sealed, you could either get somebody who is experienced to

replace your phones battery or the only other way would I would recommend is to buy a brand

new phone.

Hopefully I have helped you to increase your phones battery life.

If I've missed a tip please let me know down in the comments section.

I'll leave links to all of the apps that I mentioned in this video in the description

below, and I've also made a serpent video on how to increase your phones battery for

rooted users which you can find on my channel, but apart from that, I will see you in my

next video, till then goodbye.

Ohh so that's what "Butcher's Daughter" means! Healthy Lunch on Abbot Kinney! - Duration: 7:56.

Flashback vlog from our LA trip we took last June!

Instagram: @bilingirl_chika follow me for the latest updates!

Hey guys, it's Chika!

Right now, I am on a street called Abbot Kinney

near the Venice Beach area in LA

and this is like the place to be.

I'm standing on a very popular street in L.A.

called Abbot Kinney, famous for being very hip and trendy.

Falling off the sidewalk!

There are so many cool restaurants and

cafes and boutiques.

I wanna go into them all.

Right now, we're heading to a restaurant

called the Butcher's Daughter.

Let's go!

Oh my gosh, this place is so cute!

I've found another awesome cafe!

I've been wanting to come here for a long time

since my last trip.

I've been following them on Instagram.

Hello, how are you today?

Good, how are you two doing?

Good!

Can I get you guys any coffee or..?

Could I get a cold brew?

Yeah, do you need cream and sugar with that?

No non cream or sugar.

Could I get...

what's like a... instagrammy...

Yeah, an instagrammy drink?

We could do Juice Flight if you want.

It's a flight of four different juices.

We could pick like pretty colors.

Oh yeah that's cool. Let's do that.

We'll do one of those.

What is "instagramy"?

"Instagram-worthy" is probably te better term.

But she got it.

So I'm getting the Flight, the Juice Flight.

There are 13 different types of juices.

They've got interesting names like

Hangover Killer, Water Flower,

Rubies In the Dust, Golden Hour

And they're gonna bring out four that are

instagram-worthy!

Just adding some mint leaves makes it look nice.

I didn't know this was a cup lol

and here is the Juice Flight for you.

Thank you!

This is gonna be our orange juice.

It has orange, tangerine and carrot in it.

A beet juice,

This is called the Water Flower.

It's a watermelon juice and this is the yellow-

It's a pineapple, Jicama and lemon I believe.

Looks good. Thank you.

At Dandelion Chocolate, they had a brownie flight

where you could can try different flavors.

I get too excited when I come to

nice cafes like this.

I have to order! I have to take pictures! Have to vlog!

Could I get the macro bowl?

What's the soup?

I'll figure it out for you.

because I'm not sure what it is today.

He's gonna have the Basil BLT.

I'll be right back with those for you.

I'm gonna try the juices.

How about I start out with the lightest one?

Watermelon! I love watermelon juice.

It's good, but I think it has basil in it.

I think there's basil in here.

No, not basil. Fennel!

Cactus, pear, honeydew, lime, lavender.

I didn't realized there were so many things in there!

Oh it's good!

It's not too sweet. It's not your regular watermelon juice.

It's a very sophisticated blend of flavors.

It's not just like straight-up watermelon juice.

It's got all these kind of complicated flavors in there.

Next, I'm gonna try the pineapple

pineapple, Jicama and lemon.

What's Jicama? I forget.

This tastes like they took a whole pineapple,

like the skin and everything and ground it up.

It's got a slight veggie taste to it.

Oh, Jicama is kind of a potato!

There's potatoes in here.

That's weird.

That's why it's got this earthy flavor to it.

This one is really good too!

I like that one actually.

I feel like they're easier to drink

than just hundred percent fruit juice.

because it's not as sweet.

Pear, beet and ginger.

Wow, this is different.

Super interesting! Very gingery.

A little bit of sweetness from the pear.

It's more pear than ginger.

I think the beet is all the color.

Sorry, what did you want for your entrée?

You wanted the BLT

The macro bowl?

Can I actually get that with eggs?

With egg on it?

Yeah, it usually comes sunny side up.

Do you want it any other way? scrambled?

Sunny side up is fine.

It looks prettier.

Tangerine, valencia orange and carrot.

I like this a lot!

This is good!

I actually am not a big fan of orange juice,

but I really like this.

It tastes like mandarin oranges.

but a bit more refreshing because of the carrots.

They're all really good!

These juices are really good!

Juice Flight! That's fun!

The big cold-pressed juices that

they have it at the supermarket, the grocery store.

They're so big, and they're so expensive.

I wish they just had a little pack

where you can try them all

so you know which ones you like.

Because I got a few the other day and

they look very picturesque, but...

they weren't as good as I thought they would be.

Looks good!

I got the Macro Bowl.

Not mackerel, like the fish.

Like macro, not micro.

hummus!

Grilled zucchini and onions.

I got sunny-side up.

So the egg yolk is just like all over right now.

We also got asparagus cream soup.

It tastes so good with the egg yolk!

And this "Forbidden Rice"

has a lot of texture.

What is it about healthy foods...

It's not that they're extremely tasty

but because it's healthy, it just feels really good!

You guys know what I mean?

Maybe the girls will understand lol

There's no meat in it, but it's still satisfying.

Look at all this black bean.

It's got this like Mexican flavor to it too.

I like this quite a bit.

It'd be nice to make something like this at home. (yeah, never do though lol)

This doesn't have any bacon in it...

Is this a vegetarian restaurant?

I think this is fake bacon.

Oh, it's azuki bacon...

Wait, what?

Poor thing! I'm sorry!

I think everything is vegan!

The sausage is a fennel sausage...

This is a vegan place!

But it's called Butcher's Daughter lol

Really?

Like that made her not like meat?

ahh, that makes sense.

I didn't even think about that.

The daughter of the butcher got so sick of

eating meat and so sick of seeing everything

being processed and made, she became vegan!

It's actually a very clever name.

That's funny. I like the play on words.

This soup is so healthy,

it's bland lol

Want some salt!

You're probably gonna get hungry again

You're basically just eating basil and tomatoes.

We gotta go do yoga now.

This whole area is about yoga

cold press juices, being organic.

Healthy lifestyles.

The Macro Bowl was pretty expensive.

The dish I ordered.

$18.

It's Abbot Kinney...

This is where all the trends start.

So I had a lot of fun

hanging out on Abbot Kinney!

Went to a really cool cafe for lunch

found some good ice cream

and did a little bit of shopping as well.

This street is amazing!

Alright guys, thank you so much for watching!

If you enjoyed this video, give me a like,

and I will see you guys again soon!

How To Increase Battery Life On Android! (ROOT) - Duration: 3:45.

If you're a rooted user and are wanting to increase battery life out of your new or

old android device, stick around and I'll show you some tips that will help you out.

Before I start, if you don't have root access, I made a video on how to increase your phones

battery for non rooted users, I'll leave a card on the top right of the screen to watch

that video.

But without wasting anymore time, let's jump right in.

An app I use is SD Maid, this app will one hundred percent clean out your phones junk

files however I would only recommend it if your phones rooted as it will give you it's

full functionality that it provides.

You can find the app on the Google Playstore for free however there is also a pro version

which gives you extra functionality.

One thing I would highly recommend to do if you have an unlocked bootloader is to install

a Custom Kernel.

Many Custom Kernels offer better battery life and performance than your default Kernel that

your device or rom comes with.

You can find a good custom kernel on XDA Developers for your device that you can install in your

recovery.

Just remember to make an Android backup of your current rom instead of anything going

haywire.

If you have recently flashed a custom kernel and you are noticing bad battery drain, there's

an app on the playstore called "battery calibration" This app will calibrate your

battery and in return you will get better battery life.

There's an app on the Google Play Store which I highly recommend installing and it's called

Force Doze.

Essentially what this app will do is whenever you put your phone into standby mode, the

app will immediately close background processes to put your device into a deep sleep which

as a bonus will save a lot of battery life when you are not using your phone.

Just remember that the app will only work on android 6 or newer although you can use

xposed framework to try to enable it on android versions that are older than Marshmallow but

I haven't tried it so you will try that for yourself.

Alternatively you can use your recovery install this mod called Galactic forced Deep Sleep

which will save you a lot of battery when your phone's screen is off.

As a bonus the mod adds battery and performance improvements to your device.

If you want to squeeze a little bit more battery life out of your phone, you should try underclocking

your CPU.

You can use apps such as Kernel Auditor or Kernel Toolkit to do this.

Underclocking will drastically improve battery life however you'll be sacrificing performance

as tasks will take longer to complete and I wouldn't completely recommend gaming on

your phone with an underclocked CPU.

I would also recommend changing your I/O Scheduler to Noop as it will improve battery life too.

If you know a bit about CPU Governors, I recommend using Glassfish version 1.2 Governor profile

script as it will improve a lot of battery life.

I'll link the script in the description of this video so you can program it into your

device.

One thing that drains a lot of battery is your devices screen, there's an app called

resolution changer which allows you to freely change your screen resolution to save battery

life.

I'll leave a link the description of this video to install it as an apk.

So hopefully these tips have helped you to save battery life on your Android Device.

Let me know if you seen a difference in your battery and if I've missed something, please

feel welcome to teach me a battery saving tip, But apart from that I'll see you in

my next video, till then goodbye.
