Well, well - in the first part of this series - you guys had a lot to say about the found
footage genre as a whole - and it's safe to say that the vast majority of you are pretty
well seasoned when it comes to horror cinema of the handheld variety.
I guess that means we better do a part two, then.
Hello horror fans - and welcome back to the scariest channel on YouTube - Top 5 Scary
Videos - your go to guide for everything worth fueling your own nightmares.
As always, I'll be your horror host Jack Finch - as we once again fire up the dusty
old projector - and take a look at the Top 5 Scary Horror Movies That Were Found Footage
- Part 2.
Roll the clip.
Before we willingly dive into the frightful world of found footage horror - we've gotta
get it out of the way - you know the rules of the house by now horror fans - if you're
a fan of this video, found footage horror cinema - or just Top 5 Scary Videos in general,
then please - be a dear and hit that thumbs up button as well as that subscribe bell so
you can stay updated with our latest and greatest uploads.
Also, make sure to stick around right up until the end - as I'll be reading out some of
your more awesome comments from the past few days.
On with the show.
Kicking off at Number 5 - Grave Encounters
Now you guys had a lot to say about this particular film in the first part of this series - and
rightly so, because put it this way - if every episode of Most Haunted was as awesome as
this - then we'd have enough content to keep us going for the next few decades.
Written and directed by The Vicious Brothers AKA Colin Minihan and Stuart Ortiz - Grave
Encounters is a 2011 Canadian supernatural horror film that strikes at the vein of paranormal
reality TV.
Which - as I mentioned previously, is a much needed antidote to the found footage genre
as a whole.
We, as an audience, need to be able to suspend our disbelief when faced with such a personal
depiction of horror - again, it strikes the question - why are they still filming?
Well - the film follows Lance Preston - the charismatic host of Grave Encounters - an
infamous ghost investigation TV series, and his crew as they make their way through the
abandoned mental asylum, Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital.
What plays out is a genuinely nerve wracking classic ghost story.
I'm not going to sugar coat it - there's not much more to the plot other than the pursuit
of the paranormal - and the pains that come with it - but as far as that goes, Grave Encounters
does it very convincingly - and it's jammed with some genuinely uneasy moments.
So much so, that the Vicious Brothers have extended the Grave Encounters series, and
developed quite the cult following in the process.
Coming in next at Number 4 - Devil's Pass
Now if you're aware of the Dyatlov Pass Incident - then this film will definitely
strike a chord as a terrifying adaptation of the notorious unexplained mystery.
For those of you not aware with the mystery, the Dyatlov Pass incident was the unsolved
deaths of nine ski hikers in the northern Ural Mountains in 1959 - in the former Soviet
Union.
To this date, their cause of death is still undetermined - and the strange occurrences
surrounding the Dyatlov Pass Incident have been the imaginative spark for dozens of conspiracy
theories and paranormal tales.
So, as far as a horror movie goes - Devil's Pass draws from some pretty impressive source
material.
Directed by Renny Harlin, the man responsible for A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 - Devil's
Pass follows the story of five college students who are determined to make a film about the
Dyatlov mystery - and what plays out is an unnerving interpretation of the events that
transpired.
To be honest, if you're not a fan of conspiracy theories and government cover ups - you might
feel a bit bogged down with this film - but if you are, then Devil's Pass is a sci-fi-horror
heart-pounding ride through the found footage genre, that's smartly made - and surprisingly,
hilarious in parts.
Next up at Number 3 - Hell House LLC I went into this film with zero expectations
- and was terrifyingly surprised at how bloody good it was.
If you're a fan of The Houses October Built - which was featured on our first list - then
you'll find all of the same tropes in Hell House - but with more emphasis on the documentary
style meta-world building that found footage is so well built for.
This film kind of went under the radar for most people - and was shipped directly to
on demand services - but what's surprising about this film is how well made it is for
something that was never intended to be seen on the big screen.
To be honest, Hell House never really strays too far from its driving paranormal mystery
- and we're never fully given an explanation that diverges from the main casts perspective
- but that's also why it kind of works.
There's no exposition in this film at all - and that's the way it should be - and
it convincingly captures that feeling of the unknown.
By playing out as a slow crawl that gradually unravels in media res - what we get is a genuinely
terrifying paranormal mystery, that if we suspend our disbelief - could just as well
be real.
Swinging in at Number 2 - The Taking of Deborah Logan
To be honest, this film could get on this list just for one scene in particular - and
if you've seen The Taking of Deborah Logan - then you'll know exactly what scene I
mean.
If you've never seen this film, you've probably already seen the gif of it - because
holy moly, that ones messed up.
I don't say this lightly - The Taking of Deborah Logan is a really, really good horror
flick - irregardless of the found footage genre.
I think then, that's part of the reason why it was dismissed - people were tired of
the same old, same old - and as soon as they heard the phrase found footage slapped onto
it, they didn't give it the chance it deserved.
But - what they would've found is a convincing display of found footage horror at its best.
Directed and co-written by Adam Robitel - The Taking of Deborah Logan follows a documentary
crew who are making a research film on patients suffering from Alzheimer's.
Their subject is Deborah Logan, an elderly woman with an aggressive form of the disease
- but as the crew quickly realises, that prognosis is pretty far from being correct - and there's
something much more sinister at work.
One of my favourite parts of this film is Gavin - who after finding out that there's
ritualistic murders involved in the case - just straight up quits on the spot and leaves.
I love it, and we never see him again - he's just straight up gone, living his best life.
Remember guys, if you ever find yourself in a horror movie situation - be more Gavin!
And finally - at our Number 1 spot - The Tunnel Ahhh - holy moly.
This film is ridiculously good.
Equal parts thoroughly entertaining, convincingly made - and just straight up terrifying.
Which makes it so much more impressive then - that this is essentially a fan made film
- crowd funded by selling individual digital frames for a dollar a piece.
Now - I will forgive most criticisms with this film - and to be honest, if you weren't
a fan of The Blair Witch Project - then in all likelihood, you won't enjoy this.
It is very unforgiving with it's handheld sequences - there's a lot of disorientating
shots - but I don't know about you, that's exactly what I want in found footage horror.
I want to feel like I've stumbled upon a tape that shouldn't be seen.
It's the reason why I believe found footage horror can be so effective when it's done
right.
It's not entirely WHAT we see - it's the small moments of chaos that force our imagination
to fill in the gaps.
On top of that, we have an extra layer of exposition from the documentary sequence - allowing
us to witness how the imminent threat ahead has affected the survivors.
What we get is a terrifying display of claustrophobic horror - that seriously is edge of your seat
stuff.
Give this one a watch - and then let me know your thoughts in the comment box down below,
and maybe we'll have enough traction to pull off a Part 3.
Well - there we have it folks - but before we depart, let's read some of your most
awesome comments from the past few days.
John O'Connor says - Would the Quarantine series fall under this genre?
And Jack is definitely the man and the only reason that I keep coming back to this channel.
Well John my dude, thanks for the kind words - and I would definitely say that the Quarantine
series falls under this genre - although I'd recommend the REC series, the original Spanish
versions too - which would've made this list, but we've covered it a bunch of times
in other videos.
Still - it's awesome!
Next up - Mr. Nobody says, Why doesn't anybody ever mention The Poughkeepsie Tapes?
I found that movie to be an incredibly terrifying found footage film, but nobody ever really
talks about it.
Well buddy - you've got great taste, and the Poughkeepsie Tapes actually made one of
my more recent lists - Top 5 Horror Movies That You Missed - which may, or may not be
released by the time of this videos upload.
Spooky, eh?
Well, unfortunately folks that's all we've got time for in today's video - cheers for
sticking around all the way to the end - as always, I've been your host Jack Finch - you've
been watching Top 5 Scary Videos - and until next time, you take it easy.

What If The World Was Just 100 People? - Duration: 7:32.
The world is currently home to 7.5 billion people – a number which has increased by
2 billion in my life time alone!
There is 57.3 billion square miles of habitable land…although, unlike the population, that
number is unlikely to change too much.
Some are concerned that the population will swell further and there will be too many of
us to sustain life on earth… but what if the reverse happened?
What if all but 100 people were wiped from the face of the earth.
Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions…the channel that loves a good
discussion on basically any topic.
We believe no question is ridiculous and no answer unworthy of air time.
I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today I am asking What if the world was just 100 people?
Before we get into this video, why don't you guys let me know where it is in the world
that you are from an, if you know it, the population of your town or city.
Also while you are down there, why don't you leave a thumbs up on this video and share
it with a friend.
Social.
Okay – so before we talk logistics lets talk stats.
Stats stats stats stats stats.
If we condensed down what we already have to be represented by 100 people then, according
to Gabriel Reilich and 100 people dot org, 50 would be men, 50 would be women… lovely…
who run da world – well…. both of us.
In terms of race – the world would be 60 percent Asian.
If the 100 people of the world were broken down by continents, there would be 14 Americans,
11 Europeans, 60 Asians and 15 Africans.
In terms of religion, there would be 31 Christians, 23 Muslims, 15 Hindus, 7 Buddhists and 16
non affiliated or non religious people.
There would be 6 main languages spoken, with the two most popular being Mandarin and Spanish,
followed by English, Hindi and Arabic – there would be a person who didn't understand
any of them, though!
86 people would have the ability to read and write and 14 simply wouldn't.
Money would be very unfairly distributed - most people would make between 2 to 10 dollars
a day, and only one person would make more than 90 dollars a day… and that same person
controls 50 % of all of the money out there.
which maybe makes you would be if you were one person in the hundred and perhaps how
lucky you are.
1 of the 100 hundred people would be starving and on the brink of death and 11 would be
malnourished.
26 people would be over weight and 8 obese.
On the other hand, 8 people don't have access to safe drinking water.
I'm already sensing a lot of tension.
So….if there were 100 people on earth, despite our backgrounds, ethnicities and differences,
the only way to protect the human race is to live together as a tribe.
If I've learned anything from Game of Thrones it is that the lone wolf dies but the pack
survives.
Wait…what am I talking about…they basically all die.
Anyway… we would need to make our way to one another for protection, but where would
we choose?
As is, 56 people would be from cities and 46 from countryside but what is the point
of a city if there are only 100 people to fill it – we would need pastoral living
– land to farm and a clean water supply as well as temperate conditions.
Perhaps somewhere in Mediterranean Europe or the southern US states.
What is wrong with Florida….aligators, that is what.
With just 100 people in the world, animal life would likely blooming.
We would vastly outnumbered by predators – all the more reason to stick together.
The one thing we have on our side is sentience and the ability to control machines.
Perhaps we could gather what is left and useful of our former civilisations and build a fortress
– unlike our ancestors living in tribes, we have powerful weapons – the most powerful
of which is knowledge.
We KNOW now how to look after ourselves, how to feed ourselves, how and where to build,
we know how to create and harness electricity….
To stay alive we will need to not only use but remember these things.
Let's talk breeding options for a second – like I said – we need to stay alive
and there is one sure fire way to ensure that- create more humans.
– if the world was just 100 people then 26 of them would be under the age of 15.
Urm…right.
Between the ages of 16 and 34, lets consider them the breading years – there would only
be 32 people…so 16 couples.
Yes, some of the 20 people aged between 35 and 49 could breed too but the 22 people over
the age of 50 may struggle.
So…with 16 ish breeding couples…there isn't a lot of genepool for new generations…although
wide enough I guess….
You just better not be too picky about small things like actually being attracted to or
in love with your partner.
Oh and if the world was as it is now but scaled down, one person would have HIV and 5 would
have an STD. so…
So we are all living together and trying to keep the human race alive.
Think about it – you probably know more than 100 people, although they are likely
similar to you.
Imaging knowing 99 other people and relying on one another to survive?
This would kind of be great for humanity – we would need to communicate with each other,
learn one anothers languages and ways of thinking.
If there were just 100 of us and one person was stinking rich and well fed while others
were poor and starving, we would probably do something about it?
The less fortunate may rebel and try and steal from the person with the wealth, but this
may end in blood shed, then our already dwindling population would be even smaller.
A bad move.
Perhaps if the world were just 100 people we would realise the value in helping one
another, the value in us all being healthy, the value in being peaceful.
Doesn't that sound kind of lovely… do you think we could do it?
Well this is a huge question that could be debated for a very long time – so why don't
we continue our discussion in the comments section down below.
What do you think would happen if the world was just 100 people – would it be peaceful
or would we kill ourselves off?
Cheery!
While you are down there – thumbs up!
Comments fro what if the sun went out for 24 hours:
Killin Holm said: Lucky , I am in Florida and it never snows here . I have only seen
snow 3 times in my life?
– I live in Canada where it snows a lot…and it is lovely when it first falls….
But then comes slush…and slush is NOT nice.
Sisters show asked: What would happen if the sun moved closer to earth?
A paranoian said: I'd be more than happy to talk about British weather... it's crap, there
done lol.?
Yep.
Although lets be fair – you had a good year!

Now, lets get into the video!
Starting off at number 10 we have Jimi Hendrix[a].
He's often considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
His career lasted just 4 years but his songs have gone down in history, helping to inspire
countless musicians in the years since his death.
In 1970, he died at the age of 27 in London England but the details are quite sparse.
Its thought he died from asphyxiation after taking 18 times the recommended dosage of
sleeping tablets.
Jimi once wrote a song that included the lyrics -Many things he would try, for he knew soon
hed die, now Jimi's gone, he's not alone, his memory still lives on, five years, this
he said, he's not gone, he's just dead- … the song was recorded in September 1965 - exactly
5 years before he passed away.
Perhaps its just a coincidence - Ill let you guys make your own minds up about that one
…
Moving on now to number 9 we have Mark Twain.
You may know this American writer, humorist, entrepreneur, publisher and lecturer from
his novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Mark was born shortly after the appearance of Halleys comet - a comet which approaches
Earth every 75 - 76 years like clockwork and one of the only comets regularly visible to
the naked eye from Earth.
Mark once said -It will be the greatest disappointment of my life If I don't go out with Halleys
Comet- … well, amazingly, he died from a heart attack just 24 hours after the comet
came close to Earth.
He was born and died on the days of the comets appearance.
Coming in at number 8 we have 2Pac.
He was one of the most legendary rappers of all time but throughout his successful career
he often found trouble followed him In 1991 he successfully sued the Oakland Police Department
for beating him for jaywalking.
In 1993 he was charged with assault for attacking a fellow rapper with a baseball bat.
Later that year he was charged with sexually assaulting a woman and did time for it.
In 1994, 2PAC did an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
He was asked, what do you thinks gonna happen in 15 years for you, 10 years, where do you
see yourself? 2PAC replied -Best case, in a cmetery.
Not in a cemetery, sprinkled in ashes smoked up by my homies.
I mean thats the worst case- … 2PAC was shot and killed just 2 and half years after
that interview took place.
Some say he knew he was going to die - others go even further and say he knew who was going
to kill him - he just didnt want to tell anyone.
At the number 7 spot now we have Arnold Schoenberg[b].
He was an Austrian-American composer who moved to America in 1934 when the Nazi Party labelled
his music as degenerate.
In America, he went on to become an influential teacher and his work has become a crucial
part in the curriculum of any musicologist.
He led an inspiring life - but there was also one problem - Arnold was terrified of the
number 13.
He reguarly thought that the number 13 would be the end of hium.
In 1950, on his 76th birthday, an astrologer wrote him a note warning him that this year
was a critical one because if you add up the digis in 76, 7 and 6, you get 13.
This stunned and depressed the composer so much because hed only ever been wary of multiples
of 13 when it came to the date.
He died on Friday the 13th in July 1951 - a date that he so very much feared.
Coming in at number 6 we have Kurt Cobain.
This music legend rose to fame as the frontman of Nirvana and commited suicide all in the
space of about 3 years.
He was considered a tortured genius who struggled a lot with mental illness and heroin addiction
in the last few years of his life.
On April 8th 1994, he was found dead in his home, killed by a self inflicted shotgun wound
to his head.
Fans that dug through his life found that at the age of 14, Cobain announced to a schoolmate
that he would be a superstar musician, get rich and famous, kill himself and go out in
a blaze of glory.
For many fans, that description was hauntingly accurate.
Moving on now to number 5 we have John Lennon.
In 1980, ten years after the Beatles Broke up, John Lennon was shot and killed outside
of the Dakota building in New York by a deranged gunman hoping to seek fame.
The murderer remains in prison to this day.
It was an event that shocked the world - Lennon had been a voice for peace in the world and
his life was snatched away in seconds by a troubled individual.
Some say that it may not have surprised John as much though, he was once quoted as saying
'I'll probably be popped off by some loony' … there was also a lyric in the unreleased
song called 'Borrow Time' which he recorded not long before he was killed.
It went 'Living on borrowed time, without a thought for tomorrow' … all of this
led some fans to believe he might have had his suspicions that something like this could
happen to him …
Moving on to number 4 we have Pete Maravich[c].
He was an American pro basketball player who has been inducted into the Naismith Memorial
Basketball Hall of Fame.
They cited him as -perhaps the greatest creative offensive talent in history- … there was
no doubting his talent.
In a 1974 interview, he said -I don't want to play 10 years in the NBA and die of a heart
attack at age 40- … well, thats literally exactly what happened.
He joined the NBA in 1970 and played for 10 years until an injury forced him to retire.
8 years later, at the age of 40, he collapsed and died of heart failure while playing a
pickup basketball game …
Coming in at the number 3 spot we have Mikey Welsh.
He was an American artist and musician, best known as the former bass player for Weezer.
He eventually quit the band due to mental health related issues and later retired from
music altogether in order to focus on his art career.
On September 26th 2011, Mikey tweeted -Dreamt I died in Chicago next weekend (heart attack
in my sleep).
Need to write my will today.- … he then said -correction, the weekend after next-
… sure enough, on the weekend after next, Mikey died of heart failure in Chicago in
his sleep.
Its thought he died from a heroin overdose leading to a heart attack …
At the number 2 spot we have Jim Morrison[d].
This American singer, songwriter and poet is best remembered as the lead vocalist of
The Doors - one of the most influential bands of all time.
The story goes that one day, Jim was drinking with friends.
They started discussion the notorious -27 club- … the group of famous musicians who
died at the age of 27.
They talked about Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix being the first two members of the club, Jim
Morrison then said to them -Youre drinking with number 3- … sure enough, Jim was found
dead in his bathtub in his French apartment.
The official cause of death was listed as heart failure.
And finally at number 1 we have Bob Marley.
Theres a name that everyone must know - perhaps the greatest singer songwriter to ever come
from Jamaica - a true musical and cultural icon.
According to some of his friends, Bob claimed to know that he would die at the age of 36.
He didnt specify what the cause of death was and simply stated it would be age 36 because
that was the age at which Jesus died.
Well, Bob died on Mary 11th 1981 in Miami.
He had melanoma that had spread to his lungs and brain, causing his death.
His final words to his son Ziggy were -Money cant buy life- … he was 36 years old, just
as he had predicted.
Also, don't forget to check out Jumba TV using our link down below for all your TV streaming

Now thats all out of the way, lets take a quick look at some comments.
These were from my Discontinued Snacks that Have Returned Video, Hannah Barnes said -I
think Im a disgrace to America … I don't like twinkies- … well, that is - Im jus
wow - Im shocked.
Actually, Ive never had a twinkie so I don't really know what do say.
How many of Hannas fellow Americans watching this have had a Twinkie before?
Do you think its an important American snack?
Do you think every hot blooded American should love them?
Im literally starting to sound like a Twinkie advert and Ive never even had one …
Apo said -I see Rebecca loving this episode.
Especially about the Cheese balls- … yeah you know what?
Rebecca would probably love to do this series instead of me.
Ive been talking about discontinued food on and off now for about 2 years - Ive actually
forgotten why Im the one doing it.
I think Rebecca must have been away the day I started it or something because she wouldnt
taken all these video.
She can talk abut food all day whereas I - well, Im really good at eating it.
Thats about it ...
And finally Jennifer said -i LOVE crispy m&ms!
OMG they are so good! the kfc double down is so far beyond good.
it adds like 1000 pounds, but oddly only to girls :-( surge never disappeared here.
i dont know of any soda machines you can get it from any more, but it stayed on the shelves-
… well, Im glad you liked some of the things on this list but Im a little bit confused
about the kfc double down only adding weight to girls.
I don't know if thats true but Im prepared to be proven wrong here.
Did Burger King specifically make a burger that would only make women fat?
Now theres a conspiracy … thanks to Jennifer for being a member, we do appreciate that
- thanks to you all for watching, my name is Danny Burke and Ill see you all in the
next video!

NASA Just Arrived at an Asteroid! | SciShow News - Duration: 5:56.
[ ♪ Intro ]
Only a week after InSight landed on Mars, another one of humanity's space-exploring robots arrived at its destination.
This Monday, after traveling for more than two years and two billion kilometers,
NASA's OSIRIS-REx finally entered orbit around the asteroid Bennu!
Whoo!!!
Because they've been around since the dawn of the solar system,
asteroids are really useful for understanding how our neighborhood formed,
and Bennu is especially valuable.
For one, it's closer to us than the main asteroid belt past Mars,
which makes it easier to get to.
But it also has an important chemical composition.
Bennu is what's called a B-type asteroid, which means it's full of carbon
and hasn't changed much in the billions of years our solar system's been around.
This means it could teach us what our corner of space was like all those years ago,
as well as how small, rocky bodies were able to clump together and grow into full-sized planets.
Bennu might even contain minerals or water for future asteroid miners,
or basic hydrocarbons, molecules that are the building blocks for life.
OSIRIS-REx was built to learn more.
The spacecraft launched in 2016, and it's spent the last two years traveling through space
and, for a couple of weeks, looking for other nearby asteroids.
It snapped its first photo of Bennu in August of this year, and on Monday, it finally arrived.
This mission may not have been as much of a nail-biter as last week's Mars landing,
but getting a spacecraft to orbit a tiny asteroid billions of kilometers away
is pretty impressive in a whole different way.
Now, OSIRIS-REx will spend the next year or so scanning Bennu's surface.
This will partly be to study the asteroid and partly to find the best place to take a sample of its regolith,
or its surface dust and rock.
But to get that sample, the spacecraft isn't going to, like,
reach down with an ice cream scoop and just yank up some dust.
Instead, and I love this, it will shoot out a jet of nitrogen gas to kick up bits of regolith,
and some of those bits will fly into the spacecraft's collector.
OSIRIS-REx will take up to 2 kilograms of Bennu,
the largest sample of space regolith since the Apollo program brought back all those Moon rocks.
Then, it's going to head back towards Earth, and in 2023,
it will drop those samples in to a protective canister before heading into a stable orbit around the Sun.
After that, scientists will spend a couple of years studying Bennu's regolith,
storing lots of leftovers for future research, too.
The spacecraft's arrival is just one step in a long process.
But we've been talking about this mission since before it launched,
so we are all very excited here at SciShow.
Someday, we might discover the building blocks of life on Bennu.
But based on other research published this week,
those building blocks might also be different than we used to think.
According to a new paper in PNAS, scientists may have found a different chemical recipe for RNA,
one of biology's most important molecules.
RNA, or ribonucleic acid, is responsible for helping our cells making proteins,
both by acting as a messenger and by actually constructing them.
It's also usually at the center of the scientific debate about the origin of life.
Some scientists say it was the first code for life.
Others say life was originally run on smaller molecules and that RNA came along later.
Either way, figuring out how RNA showed up is important for understanding the history of the world,
and it's also important for astrobiologists, who are hunting for life elsewhere.
One of the big questions in this research is what molecules could have originally formed RNA's four chemical bases:
adenine, guanine, uracil, and cytosine.
We've already made a lot of progress finding predecessors to uracil and cytosine,
but scientists are still working on the origins of the other two.
Except now, they might need to start investigating a fifth base.
Because this new paper suggests that, early on,
guanine may not have been as important as we thought.
Instead, later in history, it may have actually replaced a different base called inosine.
We already knew about inosine, it's found occasionally in some modern RNA,
but until now, scientists didn't realize its potential importance in the first life on Earth.
Previous work had even dismissed it as a possible early base.
This new discovery was just kind of a happy coincidence,
because the researchers weren't even directly studying inosine when they figured this out.
Instead, they were attempting to verify a previous hypothesis about a special version of the chemical called 8-oxo-inosine,
trying to see if RNA made with it could self-replicate
like it would have to in a lifeform.
As part of that study, though, they had to run tests comparing their experimental RNA
with a control RNA made with regular inosine.
Ultimately, they found that the experimental molecule didn't work that well,
but the control molecule did.
In fact, it worked just as well as modern RNA made with guanine.
So, this team hypothesized that inosine could have been a perfectly suitable RNA base for early life.
As for how inosine could have come into existence,
they suggest it could have been derived from another compound containing adenine,
another one of those four traditional bases.
So if adenine existed but guanine didn't, the inosine could have served as a sort of surrogate.
We'll need more research to back up these results, but if they're accurate,
it could mean big things in our search for life.
We'll be able to widen the field of what compounds to look for on worlds we think might have had or currently have life.
And if nothing else, we'll probably learn a lot about life on our planet, too.

Deputy killed by friendly fire in California bar shooting - Duration: 1:42.

She's the Boss and I Need Notice - Duration: 4:36.
(funky upbeat music)
Gatti Bindabaria. Good morning, your Honor.
Good morning, sir, just move the mic up a little bit.
Are you Gatti?
That's the boss. That's the boss?
Yeah.
But you were operating the vehicle?
Yes. On December 16th?
Yes. So you are here
just for that one ticket? Yes.
This is a red light violation
on Allans Avenue and Terminal Street.
Light is yellow.
You were operating the vehicle on this day?
Yes, your Honor, that's my wife's car I was driving.
Oh, who's the boss? She's the boss.
She's the boss? Yes.
Oh, I thought you worked for somebody?
No, no, no, that's my wife's car.
Oh, it's your wife? Yes.
And she's the boss? Yes.
Did she say you got the ticket,
you go down to court? Yes.
And what about her, you don't wanna pay for her tickets?
No, I'll pay for her tickets,
of course she'll give it to me to pay.
She's the boss, she'll tell me to pay,
it's my ticket, I've come to come pay.
Okay, Gatti, let me explain to you,
this is a very difficult red light situation
on Allans Avenue and Terminal Street,
I'm gonna take a guess, that your vehicle was probably
two feet passed the first stop line, that's my guess,
so I think you're gonna get the case dismissed,
I'm just guessing that your vehicle
was passed the first stop line.
Your Honor, you're wise enough,
so I assure you, your guess will be true.
Yeah, you think I'm a wise man?
Yes, your Honor. A wise guy or a wise man?
I would say, Couple of years now.
both wise, everything, your Honor.
He's not sure.
The two of you, you've gotta feel your hands to that.
Alright, don't call me wise guy.
Okay.
I don't wanna be a wise guy. No.
Wise man. Wise man, your Honor.
Very wise? Very wise.
Very, very wise? Very, very wise.
Yeah, alright, you made a friend,
this man is a smart man.
I'm thinking of Bethlehem right now.
Okay, let's take a look at it.
The light is yellow,
it's red,
did I tell you? Yes, you did.
You passed the first stop line.
Thank you very much, your Honor.
Alright, the matter is dismissed.
This motorist was very respectful to Judge Caprio,
calling him a very wise man and that's true,
but do you know who I think may have been
the wisest man in that courtroom today?
That motorist, did you hear how he referred to his wife?
He called her the boss and why not?
Whether we want to admit it or not, it's true,
women do rule the roost,
however, it takes a very confident
and a very, very wise man to openly admit that.
Personally I'm not that confident or wise yet,
but every day, my wife, Colleen helps me work on it,
thank you,
boss.
See, I said it.
Andrew Pak, you're charged with going through a red light.
The light is green,
it's yellow,
it's red
and you're making a left-hand turn on red.
Mr. Pak? Yes.
So this day had a lot of road construction on 95.
Say it again.
Road construction, they closed my exit, so,
I drive on 95 after work, so I backed in to home,
I usually only,
already use the exit 16 or 15,
but this exit is 17, but when I drive on 95,
they don't have a notice to close for the exit,
so I attempt to get out to 17 exit,
but I never use it at 17,
so I tried to see if it was safe to drive it closer.
I wanna pay this one, but I want to,
you put road construction on 95,
everybody uses 50, 60, high speed driving,
you should close the exit, while road construction,
I need a notice.
Do you know why you're here?
Yeah, I know that, but I tried, I.
I listened to you, just answer me, yes or no,
do you know why you're here?
Yeah, I know that. Why are you here?
Sir, I-- You are here,
because you are charged with what?
I never use this road closed, when I go there,
it stays, I cannot go home, drive over 20 minutes away.
Everything that you said to me,
will you tell me how that, Yeah.
has any relevance to whether or not
you went through the red light.
Well, I never usually go, 95 to stay, always--
No, you're charged with this and you're telling me this,
the issue is did you go through the light?
Yeah.
You flagrantly went through the light,
the light was red, you went through it,
you made a left-hand turn.

What is Rosh Chodesh? Intro to the Monthly Jewish Holiday - Duration: 4:06.
Rosh Chodesh is the Jewish celebration of a new month celebrated 12 times a year
so why have many Jews not heard of it
it doesn't involve costumes
there's no big feast
you don't have to build anything special
and it doesn't take a lot of preparation
but there could be another reason
Rosh Chodesh has a long history as a holiday with a unique connection to women
maybe it was undervalued or kept a treasured secret
but let's start amplifying it now
Judaism has a modified lunar calendar
we use the cycles of the moon to determine months and holidays
but do a little adjusting with leap years to keep holidays and right seasons
before calendars were our phones, how do people know when to start baking matzah for Passover?
You couldn't look it up on a device,
you literally had to look up into the sky for the moon
but what if it was cloudy or what if people disagreed about what they saw?
The ancient rabbis devised a plan.
Two reliable witnesses would have to testify to the Sanhedrin each month
when they saw the new moon
once their testimony was accepted, Rosh Chodesh was declared
then the news was spread via hilltop fires until it was known all through the Diaspora.
Today synagogue goers can still hear the new month announced
sometimes the announcement is sung to tunes tied in to upcoming holidays
and while we don't light fires on hilltops anymore,
many Rosh Chodesh groups light candles
spreading fire from one person to the next
this is a modern reminder of old technology
Rosh Chodesh groups are women or girls who meet around the new moon
to study, pray, talk, sing, and share Jewish sisterhood and connection.
There are different connection points:
the body and our cycles
when women live together sometimes their menstrual cycles sync up
you can imagine how the moon cycles and
these physical cycles might have gotten connected into sacred time
in a desert long long ago
the medieval commentator Rashi explains
that women had the custom of not working on Rosh Chodesh,
which was a reward for not contributing their jewelry to the building of the Golden Calf
G-d calmed down after the fury that followed the Golden Calf incident
and was like, "Wow you women didn't want to rebel and pray to a statue instead of me?
You're so righteous
take the day off from doing laundry not just this year but for eternity."
A legend in the Talmud imagines that at creation
the sun and the moon were equals, the same size
they fought about whether it was possible to have two equal rulers of the sky.
Shared leadership wasn't quite a thing in the ancient world.
G-d shrunk the moon and made the Sun the ruler
but promised that one day the moon would be restored to the size of the Sun
This ancient story can be read as a take on gender and leadership.
An ancient recognition that women's power was like the moon's,
bright but limited and often overshadowed
so on Rosh Chodesh, women celebrate the moon
because we're celebrating the progress towards equality
Rosh Chodesh is celebrated all over the world
from boisterous services at the Kotel
to quieter candlelit gatherings in living rooms.
These kinds of celebrations traced back to the early 1970s
to Arlene Agus and circles of women around her.
Jews involved in the feminist movement, in the Chevra movement
and a group called Ezrat Nashim
which was advocating for change in women's rights within the conservative movement
Arlene was doing research and as she puts it,
"I wanted to find something that
would legitimize the status of women in Judaism
and It was as if G-d reached out and put Rosh Chodesh on my desk."
Celebrations of Rosh Chodesh spread like hilltop fires throughout the 70s and 80s
they all look different and became a way
for Jewish women of different religious backgrounds to come together.
In Orthodox circles, Rosh Chodesh was one of the first places that women read Torah
and had women's only Tefillah
for some women the groups were and are a consciousness-raising tool
and a way to reconnect to Judaism
in the 1990s Rosh Chodesh, It's A Girl Thing,
a program for teen girls was conceived by Moving Traditions
The idea grew and grew!
A newer project At The Well, is for Rosh Chodesh
groups for women in their 20s
there are so many ways to celebrate Rosh Chodesh.
It's a simple but powerful way to track Jewish time and our time,
to connect with others, with the Moon with G-d,
with gender as you understand and experience it
and it all starts with a sliver of moon and a little fire

I'm Ellie Goulding, and I'm going

items blindfolded.
So let's go.
Well, it's crisps.
But what-- is it Twiglets?
Yes.
[DING] Nailed it.
So this is Twiglets.
And they are a very well-known English like household thing,
especially at Christmas.
They're sort of covered in this thing called Marmite.
It's one of those things you either love it or you hate it.
OK. I'm just going to close my eyes.
I won't look because it's going to ruin my makeup.
And I got to keep that the rest of the day.
Um, applesauce?
[BUZZ] Ah.
Such an English thing.
We have scone, jam, like strawberry jam,
and then clotted cream.
So it's good.
Can I take these back home with me?
OK.
Next.
Smarties.
[DING] Classic English candy, as you guys would say.
We say sweets.
But they-- can I have these?
Well, these are-- this is money.
Like they're gold.
And they're like Christmas-- it's like Christmas money.
Yeah.
[DING] There's no like one brand,
so I can get away with that, but, yeah.
Feel Christmasy.
I feel Christmasy.
OK.
Is it Christmas pudding?
[DING] Yeah.
Ah, I feel Christmasy.
I'm happy.
Can I put-- I'll just--
OK.
Can we do this forever?
I love this game.
Honestly, this is my favorite thing all day.
Mince pies.
[DING] Yeah.
OK.
Ooh, I feel Christmasy.
This is great.
Well, it's obviously a cracker.
Yeah, a Christmas cracker, right?
Yeah.
[DING] Can I pull it?
Want to pull it with me?
You do know what this is?
- No, I don't. - Right.
OK. Help me.
Hold it like that.
OK.
This one or this one?
- No, this one. - OK.
- Pull it. - Pull?
OK.
What just happened?
So none of us got-- well, actually, no--
- Is that a present? - --you got it.
So, yeah, that's your present.
That's-- thank you.
I've always wanted one of these.
OK.
Yes.
What is that?
Oh.
Is it like a spinning--
OK.
Yeah.
I mean some-- but basically, traditionally,
they should have a hat in.
- OK. - And a joke.
Is there more?
They have a hat and a joke that you
all read round the table.
OK.
So hat, have you got your hat in yours?
You have it in here.
Oh.
There's a hat in here.
Oh.
How fun. - All right.
There's you joke.
OK.
So I'll read mine.
What type of room has no windows or doors?
I don't know.
What type of room, Ellie?
A mushroom.
OK.
How do you make a jacket last?
I don't know.
Make the trousers first.
Ugh.
Waka waka.
All right.
That's all we have, Ellie.
I'm really sad about that, because I was ready to keep
going with lots of things.
But, yeah, anyway.
Well, happy holidays, everyone.
I'm going to take my joke home.
Gah.

Cardi B wears a surprisingly affordable coat to her court hearing - News Live - Duration: 1:21.
She may like stuntin' and shinin', but for her court appearance on Friday Cardi B struck a much more sedate tone
After missing her appearance earlier this week in favor of dressing like a tiger and shooting a music video in Miami, the 26-year-old, newly single rapper made it to her court hearing at Queens Criminal Court
The rainbow-haired pop star wore black leather leggings and a leopard print pussy-bow blouse underneath a reasonably priced $275 black French Connection coat with a faux fur collar
The "I Like It" singer finished off her ensemble with a light brown felt-brimmed hat, big brown sunglasses and her "bloody shoes" — $1,195 Christian Louboutin Dovi Dova knit booties, to be precise
Pussy-bow blouses appear to be Cardi's courtroom go-to: She wore a similar style in white with lots of ruffles when she surrendered herself to the police in October over allegations that she tossed a hookah pipe and drink glasses at two bartender sisters in a Queens strip club

Now theres a conspiracy … thanks to Jennifer for being a member, we do appreciate that
- thanks to you all for watching, my name is Danny Burke and Ill see you all in the
next video!

Things I'm grateful for in 2018|| Vlogmas day 6 - Duration: 7:31.
Hello all you sonsy folks and welcome to vlogmas day 6
{Jingle bells: Instrumental}
So for today's video I want to talk about the best things that happened in 2018.
The best things that happened in my 2018 anyway
because the year is coming slowly to a close and I think it's good to look back and
be appreciative of all the nice things that have happened.
So number one
Absolutely has to be going on holiday with my husband.
I have been with my husband for 11 years now.
Married for six.
And
we had never been abroad together.
So this year in October we went to Portugal for a week.
And it was
Amazing. I was ill for a couple of the days, which was not the best but
The trip in general was just so, so good. It was just what we needed
It was really, really hot and sunny
And- I say really, really real-
really hot. It's really hot by our standards here in Scotland.
I think it was around about 24/25 degrees when we were there
So we did a lot of swimming we went to this amazing
beautiful deserted island
where you basically had like an entire beach to yourself.
And we just lazed and we swam in the pool
and we ate lovely food, we went shopping. It was just
Such a lovely, lovely trip and it was great to finally actually
go on a proper holiday with my husband.
Number two is definitely spending more time with my nephew
My nephew was born in July of last year. So he turned 1 this year
and his mum is
a midwife student so she is a working mum. Basically she does
job placement, and she does University as well.
and
his dad also works, so
my mother-in-law and I kind of split the days when they're working
between us and we look after my nephew
And it's just being so much fun watching him grow up and just
Watching him totter around and explore and learn things.
There's something kind of
magical about watching a child discover the world
and erm
He's just such a fabulous wee kid. He's such a happy wee boy. He's so funny.
And he's now walking which is really terrifying because he's kind of done the same thing
That he did when he was crawling where he doesn't just slowly crawl
he just took off across the room.
And now that he's walking he's kind of skipped the actual walking part and gone straight to running
so
It's very crazy. Very chaotic {laughs}
trying to keep up with him, but oh it's just so much fun and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Number three was a mini family trip that we went on in September
And this was for my sister's 30th birthday.
If you guys don't know; my mum and my grandfather passed away two years ago
and my gran passed away earlier this year
and
so family is something that is extremely, extremely important to me
and spending time with my family and being close to my family is important to me
so my dad's wife set up this trip and we went and we stayed in this little cottage by a loch and
we went swimming, we went for lovely walks, we went to this
insanely amazing antique shop that was huge and I really want to go back to at some point
Erm what else did we do?
We- oh we had loads of yummy food, lots of really nice coffees,
explored a little town, went in to a sweet shop and stuff. It was just like one night, but it was a
Really lovely way to like catch up.
Plus it's very rare that my dad, my sister, my brother and myself are all together at the same time.
And
we were all together and so was my dad's wife and it was just
It was just lovely. It was just really nice to catch up.
And I think after like the last few years it was definitely something that was needed.
Number four is without a doubt Deaf Awareness Month
So I set myself a goal this year that I was going to do a video every single day
for the month of September because that was Deaf awareness month
And
honestly, when I set this goal, I really didn't think that I'd be able to achieve it
I'm bipolar. Trying to stick to some kind of goal when you're mood
i's up and down like a yo-yo
is just
It just never happens really. At least not for me.
So the fact that I
not only set this goal, but actually achieved it and did put a video every single day for September
A Deaf related video every single day for September
Is something that I am extremely proud of.
Plus it really helped boost my channel
and it was just great to be talking about
topics that are so personal for me as a deaf person.
And, also you guys seem to really enjoy it so that was also a plus.
Number five is the last one because I want to keep it short and sweet
But number five has to be decorating my home.
You can see behind me the walls been painted.
You possibly can see some of the pictures. I don't know how much of that exactly you can see in this just now
but
Yeah
we moved in here three years ago
and
it's always been home, but it sort of felt more like
a flat that we were just living in.
Does that make sense? It's like flat with all of our furniture in it
And it was the furniture and our belongings that made it feel homely but
I really really wanted to get round to making it how I wanted it to be
Erm
so I finally got round to doing the painting and
putting up some shelves and pictures and stuff.
And we still have a bit to do but I'm so pleased with how it's turned out so far
I'm really looking forward to getting the rest of it done.
I think it's gonna be amazing. It's gonna feel like such a warm
cozy home
and
I
I'm just so happy that I had the chance to be able to do that this year because
We didn't have the money before to be able to do that. But
This year finally got started on it and feel like it's actually going somewhere now
I will be talking more about my home plans for 2019 in tomorrow's video
So stay tuned for that.
What were you guys favorite bits of 2018?
let me know in the comments below what you're grateful for, what the best part of the year was for you
And I'll be back tomorrow with vlogmas day seven.
And I hope to see you then.
Bye for now.

The Full Art Class Story - How I Went From An A Student to Almost Failing - Duration: 12:05.
Soooooooooo
one of the first videos I made for this channel was
"Why I Hated Art Class"
- in which I discussed my initial bad experience with art class in college
and turned it into a happy message about experimenting
and not expecting people to read your mind when you have a problem.
However
that was just the first year of college.
Despite ending on a high
everything went downhill in the second year.
Here's why.
♫ Awesome intro music made by Lovprod - check him out in the description! ♫
I've enjoyed drawing for as long as I can remember.
My Mum also loved to draw
so I assume she just threw some pencils at me when I was a baby
and that's how I got into drawing idunno.
So, when you don't know what to do with your life
and it comes to picking which subject you wanna do at school
everyone just says
"pick what you enjoy and slash or are good at"
and i was like mmkay, art it is.
I talked about this part of the story in the first video
but I don't expect everyone to watch it or HAVE watched it
(actually pls dont)
Also I'm gonna go over some details that were missing in that video
but are important to this one.
Anyway
one of the first projects I was tasked with in high school art class
was to do with nature and stuff
and during this project I discovered
I was pretty good at drawing from photographs.
I know it sounds kinda dumb to say I just "discovered" it like
I leveled up and learned a new attack or something
but that's kinda what it felt like?
I was decent at drawing from photos
but one day I tried adding tone with circular
scribbly motions
instead of back and forth in the same direction
and found it made my tones look much more natural.
Sometimes little things make a big difference, ya know?
Sooo for the rest of the project I decided I wanted to make a sculpture.
I decided to base it on the concept of making something unnatural
in my case a stool
look like it would occur in nature.
One of the materials available to us was this stuff called Modroc
it becomes mouldable with water and it's SUPER fun to mess around with
hence why I wanted to use it for this project.
As we were finishing up with that project
my teacher pulled me aside and explained
basically
"the next project is gonna be about identity
but you can choose "still life" instead
which would give you a better opportunity to focus on your drawing
which would give you a better grade."
Obviously
hearing only "better grade"
i was like oaskopjsf yea sure.
And the project was…
incredibly boring.
Watching everyone else make these cool boxes
filled with little trinkets that represent them as a person
while I was sat there drawing flowers
over and over again...
not fun.
Not fun at all.
But i got through i I guess.
Eventually the school year was coming to a close
and I was getting ready to take an extremely long break from drawing.
When my teacher..
pulled me aside.
"So uh..great work this year Chip!
You're on the right path to a really good grade.
However..
there's just one thing holding you back.
Yno this..this nature project right…?
You may have to…
REDO THE WHOLE THING."
That 'lil stool project?
Yep, apparently it wasn't good enough.
This whole time.
So I re-did everything on a ridiculously tight deadline.
No more sculptures
no more painting.
Only drawing.
I finished high school with an A in Art.
Would I have gotten that A if I hadn't switched my sculpture project into a drawing
one at the last minute?
Who knows.
I think about it a lot
could I have gotten a better grade if my nature project wasn't rushed
and also basically the exact same as my still life project?
How bad would my grade have really been if I stuck with the sculptures?
Unfortunately anxiety decided that I wouldn't go back to that school after it was over
to pick up my sketchbook and the rest of my artwork sooooo
they probably burned it for warmth by now.
But that whole situation basically planted the idea of drawing being the only thing I'm
good at
and will ever be good at in my head.
So I then moved onto College and took Art class again.
To my initial joy
the first year was heavily based on experimentation
with lots of different mediums
- painting
Sewing
collaging
we did all the things.
And I was naturally very salty,
because there was barely any drawing and I got extremely stressed
that I sucked at everything
(of course, it was the first time I'd ever tried most of it)
and as a result I'd get a bad grade
because everything I made looked terrible.
However
during a class on colour theory
I ended up making a pretty nice painting
and realised I did not suck at all the things
only some of them.
This basically flicked a switch in my head
that made me realise that the point of all this experimentation
was to try new things
discover new skills
and step out of your comfort zone.
From then on I did the rest of the work without complaining
and actually had fun with it.
Due to all the work at the beginning of the year
that I didn't do cuz i thought it was stupid
I finished the first year with a B grade which was honestly not bad
college grades are obviously higher than the ones you get in high school
and there was still another year to get my grade up to that A that I was aiming for.
However, the second year was very different to the first.
The first year was very much teacher says "do this"
you do it
rinse and repeat until the end of the year
when you're left to do your own project based on the stuff you've learned.
But the second year was almost entirely up to us to do our own projects
there was very little "do this, do that" from the teacher
and when there was it was just him trying to push us in the right direction.
So, I was like
"Nice.
I hated being told what to do all the time last year
now I get to do basically whatever I want?
Time to
SHOVE DRAWING INTO EVERYTHING I DO."
I did experiment, sure..
but I made sure that every single project I worked on ended with some kind of realistic
drawing.
Basically the way each project worked was
that you kind of had to tell a story?
Like, you started with an idea
looked at some artists for inspiration
experimented with different ways of executing your idea
including versions based on the artists you studied
and eventually create a final piece
detailing basically how you got from each stage and why.
Along with a bunch of critical thinking and improvement stuff
but that was the basic structure I guess.
But in my case it was like:
get an idea >
look for artists >
create several experimental pieces using a variety of mediums and artist inspirations
>
final piece is a drawing "because it looked the best"
One of the projects was to study an art movement of our choosing and
ironically I chose Impressionism
because I thought it would give me more opportunities to draw realistically.
Basically Impressionism emerged at a time
in which any paintings which weren't realistic and painted in a very specific way
were looked down on and not considered "real art".
So Impressionism was all about breaking away from the standard of art,
breaking the rules and doing something original.
Exploring the idea that art is more than just pretty pictures.
I was literally doing extensive research on this concept and it never clicked.
I could never get past this mindset that art is
"something someone made that looks nice".
I remember going on a trip to an art museum
my teacher and I were looking at this huge piece of artwork.
It looked like a bunch of shapes of paper stuck onto another piece of paper.
My teacher said
"It's wonderful isn't it?"
and I just kind of nervous laughed like
"haha yeaaaaah"
but in my head I was thinking
"its just a bunch of pieces of paper??"
In a way it's kind of understandable that I would have this mindset.
I mean I'd just gotten out of high school
in which the whole point was making stuff that looked good
in order to get a good grade
and all of the stress
I went through to do that meant that seeing work that
in my opinion
didn't look as good or take as much effort as mine
felt kind of insulting.
I wasn't the only person there to have this opinion either,
many of my classmates also scoffed at the simplistic works on display at art museums
and I couldn't blame them.
You spend 5 years in high school learning that nice looking equals good art equals good
grades
then are immediately expected to completely alter your personal definition of "Art"
to be practically the opposite of what you thought it was
Suddenly art is not just about looks,
it's about thoughts and feelings,
experiences,
messages,
who made it?
Why did they make it?
What is the story behind it?
What does it represent?
In that sense the whole concept of Art being a school subject is brought into question
-
how do you teach someone to be an artist when anyone can be one?
How do you teach someone how to create art
if anything can be art?
After being top of the class
and constantly praised in high school
I thought i was hot potatoes.
I actually thought that I knew better than my teacher.
He tried to tell me;
"yo this progression doesn't make sense,
how did you get from here to here?
And why does everything turn into an illustration?"
He told me countless times that experimentation and working with different mediums
is what the examiners wanted to see
but I dunno I guess I just thought my first couple pieces of experimentation were enough
and the final pieces could just be whatever i want as long as they looked good
So I ended up getting a C on the first project
and a D on the second.
Coupled with the B from my first year
that averaged it out to a C.
Which, you know, is fine.
I passed the class
but as an artist seeing little to no improvement over 2 years
was incredibly embarrassing and depressing.
I was so embarrassed that
I never went back to pick up my sketchbook
and the rest of my project work.
Also I was anxious.
After college I STILL didn't know what I wanted to do with my life
so I decided to go to a different college for a year
and do an Art Foundation course
which is kind of like a course that prepares you for university
and that was kind of where I realised what I did wrong the previous year.
The Foundation course was VERY clear about what you needed to do to reach each grade
-
you literally had a checklist to fill out
whereas the art class in my previous college was much more vague.
I remember having classes where the teacher would try to simplify what the examiners were
asking for.
Unfortunately I didn't get a great grade in that college either but for different reasons
-
that's for a different video.
Art class is super confusing.
It's not just like
"learn this thing then do a test on it"
like other subjects.
So it can be really difficult to figure out what exactly they want from you.
I see a lot of videos on YouTube
about terrible art teachers
who never let you draw anime or express yourself or whatever
and I don't doubt that there are bad teachers out there -
in my case I feel like my first year teacher could've given us a rundown
of what we would be doing and why,
and my second year teacher could've better conveyed
what I was doing wrong
but it was also on me
for not asking when I wasn't sure of something
and often outright ignoring the advice my teachers gave me.
It's tricky because
to most of us
art is very important to us
and is often our main outlet for expressing ourselves
so being told that you have to mould it in a certain way for a good grade
is difficult.
And it's difficult to accept that you can't just get those grades by making a nice drawing.
So just…
don't be afraid to ask for help
don't be afraid to tell your teacher that you have no idea what's going on
or a piece you made got a lower grade than you expected.
It's their job to teach you
and in most cases they want their class to have good grades
so it's in their best interest to help you out.
I just wish I wasn't so egotistical when it came to art class in college..
it was so dumb.
But, you know
it's in the past now
and I've learned a lot.
And if I'm able to give at least one person a better art class experience because of it
I'll be happy.
Also…
go get your work after you leave school.
If you're anxious take a friend or ask your parents
just don't leave it because if you do
in 5 years when you wanna look back at the progress you've made
you'll regret it.
So, if you enjoyed this video please consider leaving a Like -
it's more helpful than you think!
And as always,
thank you for watching and I hope you have a great day.

Why Are Establishment Democrats Trying To Shove Beto O'Rourke Down Our Throats? - Duration: 4:49.
So really weird thing has been happening these last few days that doesn't involve Donald
Trump or republicans in any way.
It's actually a weird thing happening on the left and what seems to be happening is that
you have establishment Democrats out there lead apparently by Neera Tanden, the president
of the Center for American Progress, saying that there is some kind of coordinated attack
amongst the so called Bernie Bros against Beto O'Rourke.
So all the establishment has come out and they're defending Beto O'Rourke, talking about
how great he could be as a candidate in 2020.
Maybe he should run, maybe you shouldn't.
They're not completely decided.
I'm not going to put words in their mouth, but they are defending him tooth and nail
against information that has come out from investigative journalists.
David Sirota talking about all of the fossil fuel employees who have given Beto work money,
a valid criticism, a factual criticism, which is the most important part of it.
But you have these folks on the establishment side saying that Sirota is part of a broad
campaign with the people like Elizabeth Brunig from the Washington Post, uh, attacking Beto.
Because they've coordinated this because they feel like Beto is somehow a threat to Bernie
Sanders in Iowa and then bad things will happen to Bernie so these people have this conspiracy
to take down.
The whole thing is absolutely bonkers and there's no truth to any of it.
I mean, here's what Neera tanden again, President Center for American progress tweeted out the
other day said Brunig, referring to Elizabeth Brunick, who I just mentioned, peace and post
on Beto is just the latest attack by a supporter of senator sanders on Beto joining Jelani,
Jacobin and Sirota feels a bit orchestrated and clearly they are worried.
The only thing we're worried about, Neera, is you spreading these asinine conspiracy
theories to your hill, bought followers on twitter who then take it up and pass it along
to other folks.
Listen, this is not meant in any way to be an attack on Beto O'Rourke.
This is not.
Please don't take it as such.
I like Beto O'Rourke.
I have issues with him.
I have questions about him.
We don't know enough about him and yeah, I think elevating him as the 2020 candidate
right now, immediately after he comes off that loss, they be all be at a close loss
to Ted, lose a Ted Cruz.
Uh, it was still a loss.
It was still a loss.
So you may get excited because he energized people all around the country.
But was that really excitement for Beto or was that excitement?
Because literally everyone hates Ted Cruz.
You don't know that and you're already ready to elevate him to 20, 20 status.
Give it a break, give it a rest.
But more importantly, doesn't it seem odd to everybody out there that we have so many
people rushing to Beto's defense and just trying to shove him down our throats as the
presumptive nominee?
Can we just let the play out?
Can we stop with this?
Like, Oh, you attack better, but what about Bernie?
What about Bernie?
For the love of God?
I got issues with Bernie to.
I'm not ready to put any of my weight behind any candidate and I don't even have any weight
except around my gut right now.
But I'm not going to jump in and say, I want this person over this person, or I want this
one over this one.
I want to see who's actually gonna run for president, and then we'll go from there.
Maybe we'll have some good ones.
Maybe we won't, but if you think that any of us are just going to go easy on the Dem
nominee because they're a democrat, if you think that if they have a dirty pass, we're
not going to work to expose it.
You're wrong.
That's not how this works Neera.
It's not how this works.
Other establishment type folks, we're not supposed to be cheerleaders so you can get
mad at people like David Sirota all you want, but that doesn't make what they're saying
untrue.
They're reporting the facts as the media is supposed to do and if it hurts your candidate,
well that sucks for you.
Right?
Maybe you should have picked somebody that didn't have that kind of a past, and I'm not
even saying Beto work does.
I'm just saying stop getting mad at journalists.
Stop repeating trump's lies about them.
How about you just accept the fact that nobody is perfect and they all have skeletons in
their closet that has to be dealt with?
Yes.
Even people like Bernie Sanders and those are bridges we have to cross when we get there,
but right now we're still looking at a huge field of possible contenders, many of whom
wouldn't even make it past the first debate as we saw back in 2015 with the Democrats.
So why don't we hold off on trying to shove any one candidate down people's throats until
we at least know who is officially going to run for president.
Can we all agree on that for just a few minutes here?

Why early retirement comes with one big clause | Vicki Robin - Duration: 6:07.
Well, 'Your Money or Your Life' has a long history.
It's not just "a couple of people had a good idea and decided to be famous and write a
book."
Joe developed the program — Joe Dominguez, my co-author — developed the program in
Your Money or Your Life in the 1960s, so that was a decade in development, and it was only
for himself, only for his own early retirement.
He just felt like financial service was like military service: you get through it because
the real stuff of life is through the other door, the door out of wage slavery or paid
employment.
I met Joe after he had become financially independent.
He had some savings, he explained what he had done, and it made a lot of sense to me
for a very different reason from him.
For me I was a recent college graduate and I'd started on a professional track.
I graduated from Brown University, I had lots of good prospects, but it just didn't make
any sense to me to sell all my intelligence, time, creativity, to narrow that focus down
to somebody else's agenda.
I wanted to be free honestly, and well I was in my 20s—and we understand that, don't
we?
And so I applied his tools, and it freed me up to have a minimum income but be able to
have maximum adventure.
So fast forward, in the early 1980s, people began to be interested in like, why was Joe
financially independent?
Why was I not having to work when they had to go "back" to work?
They'd meet us on their vacation and they'd go back to work.
"Why do we have to go back?"
And so he started to develop a, "first I did this, then I did that, then I did that."
So he developed what has become the holy writ of the nine-step program, but it was just
really him describing his own process.
Over the 1980s, we produced live seminars and then a tape course so that word could
get out, this approach to money.
Number one, if we define financial independence as the process of liberating your mind and
liberating yourself from debt and developing savings, this – everybody needs to be on
this path.
It's a self-preservation path.
So I'm not talking about freeing your time forever, "pulling the trigger," as they say
in the FIRE movement, and getting financially independent.
As a matter of fact, that becomes a problem for a lot of people because they don't know
what to do with their time.
It's an identity crisis.
You know, suddenly your boss or your profession or your context is not defining how you spend
the hours of your day.
You're free!
Oh dear!
Now you have to do it.
So I don't think that's the ultimate goal.
As a matter of fact, I distinguish between work, job, income and identity.
Those are four things that all go in the category of 'job'.
So if you haven't thought about who am I, what is my work in life, apart from like,
my job is what I do for money, but your work is more of a social role or a spiritual calling,
you know?
Your work is — everybody's work is to be a good person, boom.
That's a basic assignment.
We all got that one, you know, to be a moral human being.
That takes work.
Self-education takes work.
So I would hope that people start to think about that, that somebody who's a family man
and he has a sort of pay grade job gets out of debt, realizes that money doesn't buy happiness,
invests a lot in being with his grand-kids.
That's somebody who is becoming financially independent, in my book.
So that's one part of it, is that we have to stop thinking about some la-la land thing
where we're going to get out of everything, because we don't want to!
We will be working until the day we die.
Granny is going to be like, you know, helping out with the grand-kids.
And work is actually what we love to do.
We love to belong and we love to make a contribution, and we love to be appreciated for the gifts
that we bring.
That is a lifelong task.
So I just wanted to say that, that the financial independence path really is freeing up your
life from debt and from the obsessive desire, obsessive materialism.
So there are certain things—one is, I'm not saying everybody should pull the trigger
and free up their time to have an identity crisis and an existential angst about "What
do I do with my time?!"
Because it's a process of freeing yourself.
This combination of values and dreams and dollars and cents in a very pedestrian way,
and a sort of a decloaking of the dynamics of the consumer culture, so people can see
that the things they think they want are very often ideas that have are planted in their
heads.
We're not giving people back their lives.
They read the book, they get onto this program and they just like go, "I'm taking it.
I'm going to take my life back, because this game is not worth the candle.
This is not equal to who I really am.
This is not a noble path and I am going to change."
So, long history, but it came out of just one guy, you know.
When he was 12 years old at PS 81 in New York City he had to write an essay about "What
do you want to be when you're 30?"
He said, "Financially independent."

Olivia Culpo Shows off Incredible Figure After Ex's Wedding | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:31.
Olivia Culpo Shows off Incredible Figure After Ex's Wedding | Heavy.com
Olivia Culpo has taken to Instagram to post some stunning photos of herself, showing off her incredible body just days after her ex-boyfriend, Nick Jonas, tied the knot with Priyanka Chopra.
While one might not be related to the other, Culpo seems to be unbothered by her ex's nuptials, as she is living her best life and sharing positive vibes only with her fanbase.
A couple of days ago, Culpo posted a photo of herself in a white bikini after taking a brief Instagram break.
"I'm back, Instafam! I really missed you.
Let's hug," Culpo captioned the sexy snap, which you can see below.
.
A short while ago, Culpo posted another Instagram photo, once again showing off her toned body — this time focusing on her long legs in a pair of short shorts.
The model was sprawled out on a rock wearing what appears to be a very low-cut white leotard.
"Good morning, world," Culpo captioned the picture.
It appears as though Culpo may have been taking a break from a hike, judging by her shoewear and her water bottle accessory.
You can see that photo below. .
"You make that rock sizzle," wrote one Instagram user.
"Looking amazing," added another.
Other Culpo followers filled up the comments section with the "flame" emoji.
Culpo dated Nick Jonas from 2013 through 2015.
For the past couple of years, she has dated footballer Danny Amendola on and off.
The two parted ways this fall after Amendola was spotted out on an apparent beach date with Miami-area reporter, Bianca Peters.
Culpo spent the Thanksgiving holiday with her family in Rhode Island.
She has been sharing a few photos and videos from her time at home, and seems to be enjoying every minute of her life these days.

Michelle Williams Splits From Fiancé Chad Johnson After 9-Month Engagement - Daily News - Duration: 3:21.
She may be a survivor, but Michelle Williams's engagement to Chad Johnson sadly didn't last
After being engaged for nine months, the Destiny's Child singer announced that things 'didn't work out
' "I still remain fearless," Michelle Williams, 38, said in a now-deleted Instagram Story on Dec
7, according to Page Six. Sadly, this post wasn't just a plug for her new single, "Fearless," but it was also a way for her to say that she and Chad Johnson, 41, were no longer engaged
"I guess I still remain single. Thing (sic) didn't work out. I don't wanna destroy another relationship
…The healing that needs to take place is a must…Blessings to him, his family and ministry
FEARLESS." How sad. The Destiny's Child star and the pastor announced their engagement in April 2018, one month after he got down on one knee in March
Their romance started off in March 2017, when the two met at a spiritual retreat led by Chad, per Page Six
Though they hit it off immediately, they took it slow, flirting over text before taking it offline and into the real world
Their first "official" date took place at a wedding in the Dominican Republic. "I told her, 'I've been looking
I don't want to look anymore. I'm done. My search is over,' " he said at the time
It seems his search is about to start all over again. The timing of the breakup is also very awkward, as Chad Loves Michelle, a reality television show featuring the former couple, has been airing on OWN after premiering in November
Yikes. Michelle is also in the middle of a stint on Broadway, as she's playing Erzulie in "Once on This Island" until January 6
Most of Michelle and Chad's courtship has been long distance. Michelle's touring schedule has put her out on the road, and Chad travels as part of his work, as he's the team chaplain or the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Dodgers
On top of that, the year has been a heavy one for Michelle, who checked herself into a mental health facility for depression in July
"For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognize when it's time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing," she tweeted at the time
Here's hoping she and Chad are both taking care of themselves as they deal with this latest development in their lives
As she said, "healing…is a must."

Real Estate Virtual Assistant Philippines Reina J. - Duration: 5:00.
Hi I am Reina J. you may call me Reina and I am 24
living in Davao City Philippines I am still single and I live alone in a
studio unit my family is in the province and I come home during holidays and
vacations I have been a full-time executive virtual assistant since April
2018 but had been juggling part-time VA positions before but I had my full-time
office based job I have not yet experienced working in a graveyard shift
full time although I need to let you know that my previous position was kind
of flexible and there are times where I needed to work on the graveyard shift
maybe twice in two weeks or months especially during Fridays also I have
experience working with electronic signature software such as Adobe
and DocuSign I am also proficient with graphic design in fact
in my previous position I've been tasked to create marketing materials such
as brochures flyers posters and email banners and I do know basic usage of Adobe
Illustrator and Photoshop but I find myself to like Canva a lot more for
editing I have experience working with WordPress personally and professionally
I used to have a personal blog but this isn't really existent professionally
and was able to handle some tasks for a lot of things such as that that I am
responsible to create Twitter links and this are
URLs where you generate QR codes and it will lead you to a website and I also
create QR codes that were to be used for our posters and of course they also know
how to edit and add content to WordPress as well as basic design
customizations for the design website so what is my greatest strength well I am a
quick learner over the past four years I have worked in
three different workplaces and roles and this has worked offered me to improve my
skills I have honed my skills and content writing as well as my verbal and
written communication skills as well as some core principles of graphic design
and digital marketing and quite compatible with a lot of software as I
am tech savvy and also this were self-taught that's my motto to keep
learning every day and I actively seek feedback to keep it open for my greatest
weakness I can be too critical of myself and a pattern I've noticed throughout my
career is that I also feel I could have done more even if objectively I've done
well so what these led me to burn out negative self-talk
so one solution I've implemented is to actively pause and celebrate my
achievements such as eating good food treating myself or we go shopping and
not only that has helped my own self esteem it helped me appreciate my support
system as well which it puts my friends my family myself what I'd like to
do in my free time I say I'm into cooking I love spicy and savory food and
of course really feeling food is like the same also I love watching TV series
some of my favorites are Game of Thrones and Big Bang Theory I am very sad that this
series are in their final season and also I love to read Sidney Sheldon is my
favorite author my favorite previous job is being a
virtual assistant in this field they have been able to discover you know
things about me and this helped me open my mind
discovered that my skills compared to what I had before as a VA
it opened a lot of opportunities for me to meet a lot of people and it
actually opened my mind culturally and politically moreover it worked alongside
these executives and CEOs and this made me more passionate with the same how
they strive to achieve your goals and that for me is really really inspired
and this is where I'm gonna end my video and I hope this information will help
you to get you to know me more. Thank you so much. Bye.
