English Pronunciation: How to say words ending with -OW: grow, cow, slow, now... - Duration: 9:20.Hello. This is Gill at engVid, and today we have a lesson on the pronunciation of words
containing the letters "o-w". Okay? So, there are two different ways of pronouncing these
words, and some are pronounced both ways and spelt the same, but they mean different things;
there are other words which are only pronounced in one way, and not the other. So, let's just
have a look at these examples. Okay.
So, "o-w" in the word, it's either the vowel sound: "a-oo", which I've spelt: "a-o-o",
"a-oo", like when somebody hits you, you say: "Ow! Ow, that hurt. Ow." Or at least in English
we say it that way. Okay. So: "a-oo" is one of the pronunciations. And: "oh", like when
you're surprised: "Oh. Oh. I didn't know that. Oh." So: "oh" is the other vowel sound. Okay.
So, first of all, let's look at the three words where there are both. So: "a-oo", you
can have: "bow" and you can have: "bow". So, "bow" is when you go like this. You sort of
bend over politely: "bow". Usually men do that. "Bow". But there's also something called
a "bow", which is if you have a ribbon in your hair or something like that, and you
tie it in a bow; you do this. Or if you have shoes with laces, you tie your shoelaces in
a bow. Okay, so we have: "bow", "ba-oo", and "bow". Right. Okay.
Next one: "row" and "row". So, a "row" is a lot of noise. "Oh, there's a row going on
out there. That's noisy. People are shouting. There's a row." It could be an argument between
people: "They're having a row." The neighbours next door, you can hear their voices, they're
having a row; they're disagreeing about something, so that's "row". But "row" is either when
things are in lines, like that, that's a line or a row; or you can also... If you're in
a boat with oars like this, you row; you row the boat. You're doing this with the wooden
oars to get through the water, to move through the water. That's also to row the boat, and
it's a rowing boat. Okay.
Next one: "sow" and "sow". So, a "sow" is a female pig; that's pretty much the only
meaning for it - a female pig is a sow. Okay. To "sow", s-o-w is to put seeds in the ground
for them to grow. So, you can link "sow" with "grow", if it helps you remember - put the
seeds in the soil, they will grow. Sow the seeds, they will grow. It's not the same as
this spelling of "sew", "s-e-w", which is with a needle and thread. If I'm sewing on
a button which has come off, that's "sew" with an "e", so it's not that; but it's the
same pronunciation. Okay.
Right. So those are the three pairs which have both pronunciations. And then we have
two lists of words which just have one. So, the "a-oo" vowel sound, we have: "brow", which
is the same as your forehead; is your brow. And you've got "eyebrows". These are eyebrows
and this is your brow. Okay?
"Cow", the animal that you get milk from. The cow. "How? How do you do something? How?"
or: "How are you?"
"Now", at this moment; now. "Plow", this is the American spelling; the English spelling
is slightly different, but it's the same pronunciation. We spell it, in the U.K.: "p-l-o-u-g-h", but
the American spelling is "plow" - "p-l-o-w". So, that's another one. To plow a field; to
churn up the soil - again, maybe if you're sowing seeds in agriculture. Okay. So, the
plow is the equipment that you use to cut into the soil; often pulled by horses, or
it may be a tractor or something with an engine nowadays. Okay. "Plow".
This word: "pow" is a sort of, like a comic book. "Pow", "pow", when people hit each other.
You get this "pow". It sort of represents the sound of someone being hit or something
exploding, that sort of thing. Okay. "Prow" is the front of a ship. The prow of a ship.
And "vow" is another word for a promise; to vow to do something is to promise to do something.
Okay. So those are the "a-oos", there.
And then the "oh" list, from here: a "crow" is a bird; a big, black bird. "Crow". "Flow",
"flow". Water flows; liquid flows. "Flow". "Glow" is to do with light shining. We have
a lot of lights here today which are glowing quite brightly; lighting us all up. So that's
"glow". Or you can have a fire burning, and it creates a kind of a red glow. So, anything
to do with light.
"Grow", when you put the seeds in the ground and they grow. Okay. "Know", to know something.
"Low" is down here; the opposite of high - "low". "Mow", another agricultural word; or in your
own garden, if you have grass - the grass grows. You have to cut it, so you mow the
grass; you cut it to a low level to keep it tidy. So: "to mow the grass", "mow the lawn",
and you have a machine called a "lawnmower". Okay.
"Slow", the opposite of quick; "slow". And "tow", "t-o-w" is if a car has broken down
and you have to get it to the garage for repairing somehow, somebody can tow it for you. They
will tie a rope to it from their own vehicle, and pull it behind to take it to the garage
where it can be repaired. So that's to tow a car-okay-to pull it along with a rope because
maybe the engine isn't working or you've run out of petrol; something like that.
Okay, so they we are - the two pronunciations: "a-oo" and "oh". And I hope also this has
helped to expand your vocabulary. And so, if you'd like to go to the website: www.engvid.com,
there's a quiz there for you to do, connected with this lesson. And hope to see you again
soon. Okay. Bye for now.

สำนวนไทย vs English idiom ft. mmmEnglish | Point of View - Duration: 15:49.Hi, I'm View from 'Point of View' Channel.
Now I'm in Youtube creator Summit in Korea.
As I come to this great event, meeting Youtubers
and all of them are interested
So today I have a special opportunity to invite a famous Youtuber to feature in my channel.
This youtuber, she own an English teaching channel which is really good.
So
Let have a look. What will happen when Thai and English language meet!
Are you ready for something both educational and enjoyable?
If you ready then...let's go!
Thai idioms vs English idioms
I'm Emma from mmmEnglish. I am an English teacher
I teach on YouTube you can find my channel mmmEnglish
So we got a challenge here English versus Thai and it's too easy if you just challenge in normal language
So there's something called idioms that in Thai is สำนวน . And you can't translate it directly
So maybe you could try me with English idiom first
Yeah, English idioms are really challenging because they don't often mean that anything similar to the words that they use in them
Well, you have a head start of me because you understand English
I don't understand Thai so it's a little unfair. Give me heart one
but okay if I said that something was up in the air
What would I be saying oh you're saying about airplane? No, no way. It's too easy
Up in the air, I think something in my head, isn't it?
I think of something up in the air and then it's up in the air. I think it's not solid.
So I guess it's non-solid plan
Okay, exactly, right so and not so the plan means you haven't set your plan. It's not confirmed yet
It's still up in the air
I see so you guys as a student your English teacher will love when you use English idioms.
like for example when she asked you about your homework you just said
Oh the plan of me doing this homework is still up in the air.
She says are you gonna do your homework tonight? And you would say
umm..It's up in the air
Okay, what if I said that you have lost your touch
Lost My touch? If I lost my hand, I think I lost my ability to do
Something that's close. That's a good guess really effort
I think about getting in touch with someone, it's me, right so there's a couple of different meanings there
So if you lose touch with someone it means that you you don't see them often anymore
So you are not in contact with them often so you are maybe?
As good at friends or you don't know each other. So well you lose touch but this is lose your touch
So it's a slightly different flash meaning something mind
Like I guessed before I lose my touch and use my hand and just the ability to do something uh-huh, very good, right
So if you lose your touch it means that you used to be able to do something you had the ability
But if you lose your touch it means you don't have it anymore
It's like me now that I lost my touch bit English. I
Used to be better. It's still very good. You haven't lost your touch
What have you been me that?
You've been talking lots of English in the last few days at the YouTube creator summits. Yeah
There's on my life in Utah crazy submit. They make us do a lot get it
Every time all Thai greater said together, except me. I always did, you know to me you talking about up dinner last night?
Yeah
So last night I did the same and I was the only person speaking English every time I pick up some number I said bit
For English speaker. Yeah, you've been speaking about to me
Yeah, so I have practiced Patti's make coffee even a little bit of pressure is good
You know, you have to push yourself a little bit sometimes to take on a challenge. All right
What if I said that you needed to get your head around?
Something get my head around something. Boo me it like you totally
Focused on something if I get my head around something, it's mean I'm totally interested. So I look at it every angle
Is it me I'm interested. It's close. That's a good way of thinking about it
So if you have your head around what something it means that you understand it completely
So maybe not necessarily interested, but you understand it
For example, if I bought a new TV, and I was trying to read the instructions
It was very difficult
It took me maybe two hours to read the instruction and understand but after two hours
I got my head around it. You are kind of weird. Nobody read TV instruction
It was a bad example. I never read instructions. Is it like when you subscribe to something and they have a rules and yeah
Okay, okay, okay or like a new software on your computer? Sure. Okay agree to terms and conditions. Yes. Yes anytime
You have a face for too long done, right? I
Need to learn that way. Okay. What if you are sitting on the fence?
What does it mean the picture in my head defense is kind of charged with iron was attainable
It's it me posture self to do something pain
Makes me feel uncomfortable but in the end you would get hurt like if you for - what?
Well, the science of events are important
So if you are sitting on the fence
It means you can't decide which side of the fence you need to go to right? You're just sitting on the fence you're thinking
Oh, should I go there?
It's used to talk about when you're making a decision
There's this option or this option. But if you can't decide then you're sitting on the fence
It's look like an idiom. It's high. It's called yes don't care
It's made you they are - both at the same time like that leg on one and another leg on another wendigo
That's peers like this and you have to make a decision Hey or you fall in falling
It's very similar. Then it has a very similar meaning but this idiom let me know that fence in
Europe America and Australia is not charged
offenses in Thailand is very
Close security, right? Yeah
Okay, my last one is what if I said you
Hit the nail on the head. Oh like a nail like with a hammer. But before you said that I think
Is Frankie's life getting a new
oh, it's
Like correct. Yeah, so it means like
Exactly, right. So if you were talking to your boss and
Your boss asked. You know, what do you think is the problem?
You know with our team at the moment and you said well, I think you know everyone is coming in a little bit late
They're slacking on maybe we need to be a bit stricter with the rule for our team to work
Well together and your boss agreed with you. He thought yes, you're right
He might say you hit the nail on the head. You're exactly right. It's because
Everyone is getting lazy you hit the nail on the head, but everyone else will hit you in the head. Yeah
exactly
A job well done. You did really well
I'm a bit cheating as I learned English for many years better. Now. I'm feeling stressed. It's my turn
Is it in time maybe in Asian culture? We never say anything said uh-huh
We always kind of is always hiding right down. So it's dissimilar to English actually
so every words I asked you from now on is
Completely different from what you heard? Okay, like the best one April in a coconut
Shell I'm thinking that a frog likes to jump
So if you keep your frog inside the coconut it can't escape. So is it like you're trapped?
Yeah
What is its form a tale about a bruh living in
Coconut shine and hitting the coconut shell is a universe he know everything in the universe
So hip-hop himself and wrap around like so he thinks he knows everything
Yeah, there are more than one drop in the coconut shell but that that particular want to tell every other forms life
I know everything just ask me. I've seen everything I know it. Oh, yeah
I know those people I can think of someone who I can use this idiot
I think I might try it in English. I might try and use it. You're like a frog in a coconut shell and then using
It before and I say yeah, it's a new idiom, you know, nothing
Coconut chair. Yeah any worse out there?
Maybe this one is too hard. Next one is
What does it mean if I told you you are catching a
Grasshopper on the elephant back what you're writing in a feather and then trying to catch grassman
Right. Am I trying to catch it as the elephant trying to capture? No, you do anyone who's trying to catch it
I feel like a grasshopper
Jumps like like this really fast. Yes and an elephant moves like this
So I feel like it would be difficult to do that. Right because they move quite differently
So I feel like this idiom could be about something being difficult too hard to do well
Not exactly. You have to know some of Thai history like we used to use and a family, okay?
It's a big even when you use eleven, but catching a grasshopper is just a small human
Okay, so you're used to big to all
The too much effort too much energy to do just a small task. Yes in English
We would say it's over the top similar
Meaning to this idiot. So the next one it's still about animals are they're all about animals. Well, I just choose Oh,
So it's cute when you picture it
Yes, okay. It's not helping me
So father what if I told you that someone is an old cow who liked to eat fresh grass? Okay
I think it's something to do with their taste. They like things that are too expensive for
Something like that
It's about someone like something but not that someone something that is too good for
you maybe but the Karem sent a man deep or one who liked to keep fresh Oh like
young women yes, really really young that the generation gap you'll
Wait, so here's an old cow who likes to eat fresh grass eat
Oh my goodness, well the fourth one is some expression
Many type people do they like to use it to foreigners and many foreigners?
Doesn't understand it. Uh-huh. It's next make fish fish
I think I remember hearing this one one
Fish fish but I can't remember what it means
If you met Flemish type you go before you must now, give some example tell me when would I use this?
Well lie English, please next next fish fish. I like so so it's
Not so good
It's okay, but it's not great
if you give one to ten point
It's like a one or two you can use it but not that good so I can't say like hello. Thank you
You're welcome, but not talking like this. Okay, it's snake. Snake snake fish fish
How can I say it in Thai cuz I like this one. I want to try and use it Oh
blah blah
Okay
Blah blah. Oh, that's perfect blah blah. That's why I can say my tie is
Blah blah. Yes, and because actually it's even worse but if you can say that her tie people might be really inside
True I heard you're going to Thailand so yes it I'm going to use it
I'm gonna try it and see what happens before the last one. It's a bit cruel to picture this one
So idiom is to cure chicken for the monkey to see the killing as she can and have chosen a monk
Why would you do that? Maybe to show the monkey what could happen?
If he behaves like the chicken
Exactly. Is it like an example? Yes
Yes, the idioms mean to make an example, like if a student doing something wrong teacher just drag him in
Front of the room and then hit him and we're going to make an example
Of some someone who did something wrong and then to show everyone else
Yes, like if you do it same thing you would get punished like this
Okay, kill the chicken and show the monkey. Yes. Okay. I like that one. It's a little bit
gruesome
Like imagining cut the head off fill in or go die we cooked fight on wall to cure
She can smash this day. Yeah
But it has to be done right because we like eating chicken
Thank you very much. Mr. For today
I'm really glad to meet you guys and then through the flat turbinate YouTube you because we've had such a fun weekend
well
Yeah the weekend this feels like it because we've just been having
Lots of parties and think every day every day is weekend for you Joe
But I do want to let make a suggestion about learning English idiot because they can be difficult
Right and for me learning Thai idioms
It's difficult because the meaning is not
obvious that you can't just look at the word and immediately know the meaning one thing that I always recommend to my students is to
try to focus on some idioms that are relevant to your lasso find and then
That you can use to explain a relationship in your life or an experience that you have
So it makes it easier to remember
Instead of just memorizing a list of idiot
Well for me, I remember all the idioms in sentence
I created intense myself, which I will remember it in picture
That's a good idea too, especially because even as you're trying to explain it, you're being very visual about it - yeah
So I think having the pictures in your head really helps. So thank you very much, Emma, and I hope to meet you again
Yes when I come to Thailand for sure, don't forget to check out her channel
Maybe I would be in her shadow in like a month or two maybe
I'm gonna have a special guest on my channel when I come and visit you in that Club. It's gonna be very exciting.
Bye Thanks for watching.
So Thai vs English idioms is already end.

Review - City of the Dead Statues & Monuments - Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Case Incentive - Duration: 6:29.Hello and welcome back to the Gallant Goblin!
I'm Theo and today we're here to look at the case incentive for the new Icons of the Realms set.
This is from Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.
City of the Dead Statues & Monuments.
I'm going to open the box and let you take a look at what's inside while I give you a
little background information on Waterdeep's famous cemetery which features prominently
in the Dragon Heist adventure.
Let's take a look.
In the shadows of the cliffs on the eastern side of Waterdeep lies the walled off cemetery
known as the City of the Dead.
When Waterdavians shuffle off this mortal coil and "go to the city," they are interred here.
Long ago the practice of burying the dead was largely abandoned as the cemetery reached
capacity.
For the past few centuries, the dead have been entombed within mausoleums.
Some of the tombs are sealed with various levels of magical protections, and some are
not actually tombs at all but portals to other realms.
These portals link to infinite demiplanes where bodies—and who knows what else—can
be stored indefinitely.
During the day the City of the Dead serves as a public park, a lovely green space with
rolling hills, grand statues, and intricately designed mausoleums.
Those who are able to afford it construct beautiful and mournful monuments to their
dearly departed.
These statues and sculptures dot the landscape and cast a haunting pale on even the lovelist
of days.
When the sun is low in the sky, people who need to meet in darkness for devious machinations
will often find their way to the dark corners of the graveyard, in between tombs and mausoleums
where the sunlight doesn't reach.
There, dark deals can be made and illicit conversations conducted.
When the sun sets completely, the crowds leave and the gates close... well, let's just say
that they built a tall wall around the City of the Dead to keep things from getting out,
not from getting in.
For one thing, those mausoleum portals?
Sometimes those bodies that get sent through end up finding their way back.
There's a well-regarded novel by Rosemary Jones entitled Ed Greenwood Presents: Waterdeep,
City of the Dead.
Greenwood describes the City of the Dead as part Highgate burial ground in London, part
Mount Pleasant in Toronto, and a lot of "little touches from other cemeteries around the world."
The novel takes place in and around the City of the Dead and focuses on the Carver family
who care for the place—in particular, Sophraea Carver, a young woman who grew up wandering
the haunted pathways between the grand statues of the City.
When the dead start to escape the walled cemetery and wander the streets of Waterdeep, it's
up to the only daughter of the Carver family and her companion, a young wizard from Cormyr
named Gustin Bone, to solve the mystery and save the city.
I'll put a link to the novel in the video description below
in case you're interested in learning more about the City of the Dead.
Let's take a look at how the statues would look in a typical Dwarven Forge setup.
This is the City Builder set from Dwarven Forge.
Here we have our party of werecreatures confronting a blue dragon hatchling in the city square
with a couple of statues set up, so you can see how it might look on your battlefield.
So that's what's in the box and a little bit of background on the City of the Dead.
As far as a review goes, couple of things I wanted to point out first.
These little sarcophagi, the lids do come off.
They fit pretty securely inside so when they're together, it doesn't necessarily— it's not
necessarily evident that they can be opened but they can, each one of them.
They're not large enough inside to put a mini into, especially with a base on it.
But, you know, they can still open and you can show that there *was* something inside
when it pops out to come and kill somebody.
All 4 of these open up.
Also, this large one opens as well.
Even smaller opening there.
Let's also take a look at this case incentive compared to some of the prior ones.
So if you watched one of my last videos, you saw this guy.
This is the case incentive for the Monster Menagerie III set.
So putting them next to each other, they're quite different beasts, so to speak.
And they're for different purposes.
So this is for an epic encounter, perhaps your final encounter of a campaign,
or at least the climax.
These guys can be used for a lot of different purposes, probably.
You can use them across campaigns.
Setting pieces, statues for cities, not necessarily just in a graveyard.
Any kind of crypt you go into, catacombs—pretty common setting for a D&D campaign.
The case incentive for the Storm King's Thunder set was Chief Guh.
Now this really was a onetime encounter in that adventure.
I don't know how many more times you're going to be able to get Chief Guh into an event
for your campaign.
So while these are maybe one-time use in a campaign, these are reusable.
So they may not be—these may not be quite as impressive on first glance, but at least
you'll probably get a lot of use out of them.
As far as the scale, if you wanted to see, here's a standard mini next to some of these.
The statues are about the same size as a mini.
Some of the larger ones take up probably a 2x3 section of the board.
They're well made.
Most of the paint jobs are pretty good.
I'm not quite convinced with the Weeping Woman.
The paint job on this one, I'm not sure if it's just mine, but it doesn't look quite
done.
I might retouch this one up a little bit.
But otherwise they all look very solid and very well done.
And that's about it.
These are a pretty nice little set.
Should see a lot of use on your table.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please leave them in the comments below.
Otherwise I hope you enjoyed the video and we'll see you next time.

English Pronunciation: How to say words ending with -OW: grow, cow, slow, now... - Duration: 9:20.Hello. This is Gill at engVid, and today we have a lesson on the pronunciation of words
containing the letters "o-w". Okay? So, there are two different ways of pronouncing these
words, and some are pronounced both ways and spelt the same, but they mean different things;
there are other words which are only pronounced in one way, and not the other.

Tuckerman Ravine, Part 1 - Zombies climbing mountains... - Duration: 5:25.All right, we're all packed and ready to go! It took, like, one hour because this one couldn't wake up,
and she says she's sore from walking, like, two miles yesterday in the flat Boston
terrain. And then this guy forgot his driver's license
when we were trying to go rent the car, so we couldn't rent the car
and we had to go home, get his driver's license, and then go back No! We got the car!
to the car rental place to get it. But, finally, after all of the chaos,
we're packed. We're hopefully ready to go.
Yeah! Hit the road!
We're getting really amped up.
Charge up the energy.
We have one professional athlete stretching out before the intense hike.
Are you ready?
I am sleepy now.
Better wake up soon.
Okay, everybody's got their boots on,
Boots on!
bathroom trip complete.
Yes!
Now we're gonna start. Are you guys ready?
Yes!
I'm ready.
Louder! Yes!
We'll see.
Right now it's louder.
We just got onto the start of the trail. We
are ironing out some minor technical difficulties.
Coming up on our first climb. You guys ready?
Uh... I don't know.
First uphill and we're already busting out the trekking poles.
The end of the first initial climb. How we feeling?
Not good. Gotta fix my shoes!
When you wear on the flat land area the foot is good.
When you go up high.... Right here.
Needs to be tight right?
In Brian's words: very rugged.
I'm tiring already.
Five minutes after retying his boots and his laces already came undone.
It's not looking good for this hike. All right, we're at our first pit stop. How you guys feeling?
Too hot.
Too hot.
And look at my backpack. It's too heavy.
He's got an extra pair of shoes in there because she wasn't sure if these shoes would be okay
That's like an extra pound and a half of weight in your pack And I got three bottles of water.
Got raincoat.
Want some grapes?
Yeah! I want grapes!
Poor Kevin have to wait for us. We take too many breaks.
She's ready to go sleep.
Nap time.
I'm the leader now.
Man, we're still going up!
We're about a mile in. How are you guys feeling at a mile?
Still hanging in there.
Pretty good.
Feeling confident.
Those two right behind me.
Look at these two slowpokes.
These two slowpokes.
I said these two slowpokes!
We're just over a mile and I think some of our crewmates are hallucinating already.
Earlier this guy thought that a tree was a waterfall.
Uh....
Good thing is we're going at a slow and steady pace so far.
I think they're holding up aside from the random hallucinations.
Yeah! We're at the bridge already!
It's a mountain!
It is 11:09, we've walked 1.35 miles.
What's our speed?
Very slow.
No, like, average it out. How long per mile?
We are walking at 1 mile per hour.
We already bring those oil for Mommy.
Get energy!
I just give Mommy some oil and then she's way ahead of us.
I know! We look away for a second and she's gone.
[Sigh] Too hot.
Your shoes are waterproof right? You can walk right through.
She didn't realize that there's actually a bridge right here.
Okay. We've hit the next milestone:
breaking out the next set of trekking poles. Two miles already?
Two miles yet? I only need one.
No. You sure? Two is better.
Yep.
Fix it then!
You fixed it already?
Ok.
Looks like we have a couple zombies now, climbing the mountain.
Doing good! Almost there! Almost there and then we can eat lunch.

'I want to play for Bafana Bafana‚' says Maritzburg's Belgian striker Andrea Fileccia - Duration: 4:12.'I want to play for Bafana Bafana‚' says Maritzburg's Belgian striker Andrea Fileccia
'I want to play for Bafana Bafana‚' says Maritzburg's Belgian striker Andrea Fileccia.
Maritzburg United's Belgian striker Andrea Fileccia has told of his desire to play for Bafana Bafana once he qualifies for South African citizenship at the end of the current season.
Fileccia was brought to SA at the beginning of the 2014/15 campaign to join Free State Stars by his compatriot Tom Saintfiet‚ who was then coach of Ea Lla Koto.
"I'm a striker and my job is to score goals and I think if selected I can contribute goals for Bafana Bafana‚" the Maritzburg striker told TimesLIVE on Friday.
Fileccia would have spent five years in the country at end of the current season which qualifies him for citizenship and‚ should the SA Football Association (Safa) approach him‚ the 26-year-old striker said that his answer would be "a big yes." "Also for the fact that I've been playing in the PSL for so long now and that I know the players well and the playing culture‚ so for me if I get an opportunity to play for Bafana I won't have to do a lot of adjusting as I know the players very well.
Fileccia's fancy for Bafana was tickled by a letter he came across in a local soccer magazine in which a fan made a plea to football authorities to naturalised the Belgian striker and rope him into national team.
The Maritzburg striker‚ however‚ revealed that the idea to play for Bafana has "sometimes crossed my mind." He said that the idea was reignited when he came across that letter.
After reading the letter‚ Fileccia then posted it on his Twitter account with the words "Make Fileccia a South African…what do you think about that?" The Belgian got a positive feedback with some saying the national team can do with a player of his caliber.
"For me that was a big surprise (seeing the letter in the magazine) you know‚ I was feeling very good.
Bafana Bafana is a big brand‚ it is something big.
"Who knows maybe one day (when I qualify for SA citizenship) whoever is the national team coach can recognize me.
I'm never going to say no to that‚" Fileccia said with a laughter.
"I'm a versatile player.
I can play as a winger both on the left and on the right and I can play as a No.10.
"I can play in different positions.
Maybe one day if I'm called up (to the Bafana squad) I promise I will be able to give my best." The Belgian scored nine goals in all competitions for Maritzburg and was instrumental in the team's march to their highest-ever finish in the Absa Premiership and runners-up place in the Nedbank Cup.
Fileccia said he played for the Belgium junior national teams from Under-15 to Under-23 level but his progression up the ranks was hampered by injuries.
"I played in the same age groups as Christian Benteke‚ Kevin de Bruyne and Thibaut Curtois.".

Tuckerman Ravine, Part 2 - Why are you walking backwards?! - Duration: 7:57.She doesn't even have energy to lift up her poles!
The even surfaces are harder!
I'm seeing the light!
We made it to the rest stop. Now we eating lunch.
Where's the beer?
All right, so we've just
pretty much finished our lunch.
Whoa it's so much lighter now!
All right, this is the second leg of the hike. You guys ready?
Ready. Yeeeaaahhh....
Ready?
Let's go!
There's a good spot right here. There's a cool outlook.
Alright, we're making good progress.
One step at a time.
Now you can turn around and look.
Then why are you yelling?
Because we're finally above treeline! I told you we were close!
Are you lying to us again?
No, look! It's right there! We've made it to the waterfall, almost to the boulder fields. Not quite there yet. How are you guys feeling?
My thigh and my leg.
And my knee.
It's killing me right now.
Like they hurt or the burn?
Burn.
How about you? I'm good.
Doing good? Nice! We can make it!
I don't know.
We're almost there! Almost above treeline!
Hey look!
We made it to the boulder fields!
Yeeeaaahhh!
Now it's time to go back down!
No! Not yet.
And look. There's a waterfall!
Yeah! It's water!
Yeah! We made it! Time to go home.
Not yet. There's still, like, another hour to go.
What?
Kevin, we gotta get down.
Good job!
Ok. Looks like we didn't even make it past the waterfall part.
See. I walk the other way I don't feel so tired.
This one's like I'm running, sweating like crazy!
Because you have push it up all the time. You know?
Yep!
This might be our turnaround point.
Still a pretty nice view!
Alright we're on the descent now. Taking it nice and slow because
it's a little bit tough here. They're making full use of the trekking poles now. Slow and steady!
Slow and steady!
You guys are going even slower now!
Yeah, I think we did good! We've probably made it six miles round-trip. Farther than I thought we would make it. You guys did great!
Can you see the house yet?
How's it going so far?
So far so good! Hopefully I make it down.
We'll see.
Otherwise I'm going to leave you here.
I'm going to hitchhike with somebody.
How's the descent going?
It's good. My knee is killing me.
We just upgraded him to two trekking poles so that he could descend a little bit faster. Looks like it's working.
Showing a little bit more confidence.
The side shuffle!
Side shuffle!
Pretty good! 3.6 miles!
So we finally made it down from the rocky area back to the dirt. It's just starting to rain.
But I think we'll be all right.
She's enjoying the flat part.
Enjoy while you can.
He's running.
He's also enjoying the flat part.
I can run!
Why you guys walking backwards?
Because it hurts!
How much longer?
We've made it to the detour signs, so that means we've gotta be pretty close.
Ah, feels good!
And we have about
1.1 miles left, but you guys are walking so slow!
And so your feet don't listen to you? No!
I have never experienced before.
See! Mommy have the same thing!
Me too!
Your feet don't listen to you either?
It's more like whoa, whoa, whoa....
Maybe we look at the rock too much.
All our brains is go dead.
Almost there! Look! You can see the grass.
5.7!
Total distance from up and down is only 5.6 miles? That's terrible!
We have 0.55 miles left.
Why are you walking backwards?
Because it makes me fell good! That's why I walk backward.
Like Michael Jackson?
Harder than what?
Angels landing.
Oh
Going down Angels Landing also hurt a lot.
We made it!
Yeeesssss!!!
Yeah!
Yeeesss!!!
So hard coming down! Yaaaaayyyy!
We made it?
You did it! This is the parking lot! Yep!
Yeah! We made it!
I'm gonna die.
Okay final verdict, how do you guys feel?
Uh, dead!
Definitely it's harder than Angel's Landing.
Now we believe you two!
Ugh! My knees is killing me!
The rocks is killing us!
Look at Kevin have to help me carry my backpack!
He have to help me carry the backpack!
Whoa! It's all foggy!
Alright we're back in the car heading back home trying to get some food along the way.
How do you guys feel?
Tired. I want to go sleep. I want to jump into the hot tub right now. There's no hot tub....
My leg is....
Whoa! Put on your seatbelt!
Did you like the hike?
Oh yeah! I enjoyed the hike! Except I don't think I'm going to do one anytime again soon.
It was good! It was really, what was that, accomplished.
Like feeling we achieved something.
But it's hard! It's too hard. Right now I wanted to go into the hot tub and soak my feet.
I want to get massage on my feet. So tired.
Yeah, food!
But nice view up there
All right, well job well done!
Thanks! Yeah! We accomplished! Thank you!
