The Brief is 101India's celebration of India's creative community

The format is pretty simple

Provide a brief to a creative group or individual

Then sit back and watch as they express themselves

Home

Home

Home

Away from home

Away from home

From a land where no one calls it home

But home to me

From the distance I feel

The ground beneath me

A home away from home

Where the rain shines on an open leaf

From dusk to dawn with no one in sight is where I'll be

Home away from home

Home away from home

Home away from home

From the distance I feel the ground beneath me

Home away from home

Where the rain shines on an open leaf

Home away from home

From dusk to dawn is where I'll be

Home away from home

So what was your thought process behind this track?

The brief was basically trying to bring a visual appeal to rain

We had chosen to use a Theyyam dancer

And the Theyyam dance form

To kind of symbolise that

Just to be able to match those visuals and just how

Grand those visuals are

We kind of had to match that with our music as well

The one instrument that really stood out for me

Was the Santoor

The Santoor has a really nice

Tonal quality to it

And when you delay it a little bit

It sounds like rain is falling

We also wanted to keep it a little contemporary

I used a lot of synth in it

We used a bass synth that we created

We got a little bit of Indian

And also got a contemporary sound to the track

Just to show the weight of the dancer

I mixed these really heavy

Cinematic percussive drums

I used timpanis that I merged with

Ghatam and tabla in places

I came in much later in the process

A lot had already been done

When I finally saw the video and the music

And everything come together

It felt like all these great people

From completely different fields of work

Have come together to create this

Really amazing project

Since we've worked together

I have a good idea of the tone of your voice

It's got this really haunting tone to it

But it has an uplifting side to it as well

This song was basically inspired by

You know, this introspective sentimentality

This home away from home you can always go to

The monsoon brings destruction, but it also brings life

I feel that's what the track showed me as well

The verses in the beginning

They're quite dark and sombre

But as you get to the chorus

It suddenly becomes this uplifting song

That's what I loved about it

I wanted it to be cinematic

Personally, that's the kind of music I like to create

We had the visuals, we had the music

We had a lot of sound design

But I wanted to take it to the next level

The only guy I know in the industry

Who could totally kill on a track like this

Was Mr. Shantanu Hudlikar

If the music is interesting to me

Something I would be excited to work on

Yeah, I'll do it

Firstly, the studio is very intimidating

For the first few minutes, I didn't really know

If I was even supposed to talk to him

I just stood back and watched

But once we got about ten minutes into it

We felt like we were all somehow connected

I felt that someone my age

And someone of his caliber

Were actually working on something together

I think that eased me into it after ten minutes

To be very honest

I'd rather work with young kids

Than with the established artists

Because that's where the freshness is

I had just a rough mix

Of how I wanted the track to sound

I had to say no more

He just completely got it

What does the track do to you?

What does that piece of music do to you?

I need to try and excel every time

That I am behind this particular console

Because I'm playing with other people's creativity

I dare not do anything to screw things up

I think it all just came together

Everyone just had a great time, had a ball

With what they loved doing

You know, I see the video

And the amount of work that went into it

I think I'm quite happy

USING CUSTOM ILLUSTRATOR BRUSHES TO MAKE COOL VECTOR ART - Satori Graphics Illustrator Tutorial - Duration: 3:58.

I made this vector art in under five minutes easily and I do that by using

custom illustrator brushes I will show you how to make your very own custom

brushes in Illustrator in today's illustrator tutorial

what's up people welcome back to satori graphics home of graphic design content

I had a great suggestion from subscriber how to make and save custom brushes in

illustrator there I'm slowly working through subscribe and viewer suggestions

so if I haven't gotten to you yet probably will do soon let's jump right

into this illustrator tutorial it is very simple to make custom brushes in

Illustrator and we're going to be making our brush first and then a pattern brush

secondly start up by making a small pattern of rectangles and lines on your

canvas in a straight F this is something you can play around with an experiment

by using different layouts once you have your pattern select every single shape

and then go up to the brush tool bar at the top

if the arrow in the top right corner and then the drop down menu select a new

brush like I said we will start with an eye brush and then after we're going to

make a pattern brush I would leave every single setting here the same by default

but change the tints and shades so you can actually edit the color of your

brush strokes

you can see now here the brush has been made and using the brush tool you can

now Drew with it no knee of that but you can make shapes into the straighter and

then set it to a stroke and then add your brush stroke to it like so this can

be so cool to play around with and make different beds art the next brush we're

going to be looking at is a pattern brush I'm going to make a shape with a

pen tool but I want to be recreated multiple times of a pattern you guys to

align your work so that the pattern will be straight and aligned

once you happy I'll end the stroke of your pattern like so leg before select

your shape so then go to the brush window add a new brush at this time a

pattern brush keyboard the settings as default apart from the tints and shades

setting with the brush we can draw our pattern as must be one you can see how

much time this will save and your making patterns inventor art or design we can

make shapes like we did before and add the pattern to the stroke

you can really make some cool graphics with this technique but just experiment

with it have some fun

so the you enjoy my tutorial on using custom illustrator brushes to make

corvex art lemon in the comment section below and like and share this video if

you found it useful it really helps my channel to grow and I want to thank all

of my viewers and subscribers who engaged my content Ailee I really do

Power the customer satisfaction creating customer experience knowledge - A course with Félix Cuesta - Duration: 2:38.

Think of your company's business strategy.

Is it customer-oriented?

Now think of your team, do all of your employees actually work to meet the needs of customers?

If this is the case, then well done!

If this is not the case, do you not think that now is the time to nurture

commitment to exceeding customer expectations?

If you're still not convinced, here are some data...

Did you know that according to a 2014 study conducted by IBM 74% of

consumers spend more if they have a positive shopping experience?

Or that customers who have positive customer service experiences are 3

times more likely to recommend a brand?

Based on these data, it is clear that the customer is the fundamental

purpose behind a company and we must strive to look after them.

The problem is that not all professionals are usually fully aware of this

fact and it is necessary to involve them in this objective, creating a

customer experience culture.

Companies like Starbucks, Apple, Disney or Nespresso are already guiding

their business strategy and human resources towards creating and managing

customer experiences, obtaining fantastic results.

But, how do they do it? Firstly, putting the customer at the centre of

decision-making processes within all areas of the company and at the

centre of all actions carried out by employees.

This is an absolutely crucial and basic requirement.

Secondly, managing the active and passive beliefs that foster resistance

to change and stimulating the drivers that encourage transformation.

Thirdly, generating commitment at all levels, involving management and

making employees the "ambassadors" of the new culture.

This is feasible thanks to the development of a positive employee

experience, which generates a true commitment to the company and is

translated into the best customer experience.

These steps offer you a road map to ensure that all employees are

committed to a customer-oriented approach.

If you want to learn, train and strengthen the key habits and behaviours

to create a customer experience culture with your team, follow our

guidelines and you will achieve it.

Lead the development of your team - A course with Rodrigo Jordán - Duration: 2:40.

Think about a person whom you consider has helped you to grow and to be what you are today.

What advice or help did that person give you which made you regard them

as a reference in your personal or professional development?

Was that person a colleague, a friend, your boss?

During our lives, all of us, without exception, have had people who have

guided, accompanied and helped us to improve and to grow as people and as

professionals.

Did you know that a recent study has concluded that 31% of employees

consider that their bosses neither teach them nor develop them in their jobs?

In spite of this fact, there is an evident need to have competent

colleagues who actively contribute to achieving the team's objectives,

and who are able to face increasingly greater challenges.

That is why it is essential that you improve your ability to develop the members of your team.

In other words, as the leader, you must be capable of making your team grow.

You must know how to create an atmosphere of trust and continuous

learning, in which everyone takes part.

You will then achieve better co-ordination, communication and

performance, leading to better results from individuals and from the

group.

Your team does not need to climb Everest or K-2 in order to apply the

successful behaviour patterns of an expedition of that kind.

Both in companies and in mountaineering, the requirement is for people

who are technically trained, but who also have good social skills so that

they can deal appropriately with any difficult situation that presents

itself.

It is not sufficient to sit down with each team member once a year to

give them feedback about their performance.

Developing team members has to be a proactive and ongoing task for a leader.

To do this, you have to have specific methods, techniques and guidelines

to orientate your behaviour.

And that is precisely the purpose of this training programme:

to provide you with guidelines and recommendations that you can use with

the members of your team to strengthen their development and growth.

If you would like to learn, practise and consolidate the habits that are

needed to create a high-performance team that is capable of facing the

most difficult challenges, and which regards you as its mentor for their

development, come with us, and you will achieve that.

Managing the imperfect to diagnose your company - A course with Javier Fernández Aguado - Duration: 2:28.

I invite you to think about your company.

Which aspects do you think should change in your organisation to improve results?

Maybe some internal process, governing style, job positions structure or communication systems?

You might think that many things should change but, except for children

who want everything at the same time, we must be aware that not

everything is modifiable.

We must point out those improvable aspects and focus our efforts on that

improvement that will benefit results, working environment, employees

commitment and our quality of life.

To make a simple diagnosis would not be of interest.

A correct analysis is needed in order to find the adequate therapies to improve your organisation.

With this aim in mind, some years ago I designed a model called Managing

imperfection, that provides an efficient tool for organisation diagnosis.

This model stems from the idea that there are no perfect organisations.

There are unsolvable imperfections before which we must reach an

agreement, and other solvable ones, which we must prioritise.

These imperfections are present in the six domains analysed by this model:

our organisation environment, its structure, oneself, people we work

with, customers and communication systems.

How can you apply this model to your organisation?

Showing a good governing attitude, diagnosing imperfections and

minimising them as much as possible, knowing how to communicate the

diagnosis and the therapies and acting without blaming others.

If you want to know, train and consolidate the key behaviours to apply

this model, I encourage you to follow with enthusiasm this training

itinerary.

Lead in diversity with success - A course with Krista Walochik - Duration: 3:11.

Did you know that there are different studies that have proven that an

inclusive leadership has a direct impact on the productivity and

efficiency of an organisation?

According to these studies, inclusive leadership has an impact on:

the income statement, an increase in creativity and innovation, the

reduction of absenteeism and turnover and on the improvement of the

effectiveness of internal communication and feedback.

But, what is inclusive leadership?

An inclusive organisation is that in which all the people can feel

complete thanks to their leaders.

These know how to create and foster an inclusive environment with enthusiasm.

This implies creating a safe space in which a diverse team can obtain extraordinary results.

Diversity is a challenge, for professionals as well as for leaders, as it

makes people from different cultures and genders, ways of thinking,

religion, ideology, age, background, sexual orientation and lifestyles,

work together.

Diversity is only potential and becomes a value when it is managed in an inclusive manner.

The data shows that those teams which have more diversity tend to have a

polarised performance, significantly below average or, on the contrary,

above the average.

These differences occur thanks to the leaders who direct them.

The tasks of the person who leads with diversity consist of establishing

a strong and authentic relationship with each person in the team and, in

turn, the same type of relation among the members.

Think that we feel included when they make us feel unique and, at the

same time, that we form part of the group.

Only if people feel valued and included will they take the risk and give

their opinion, let themselves be seen and put their uniqueness to the

service of the team, explore conflicts in a positive and creative manner

in order to find new ways of doing things, and defy what is established.

If you want to learn about, train and strengthen the key behaviours to

assure your leadership is inclusive, I encourage you to start this

training route.

Develop your ability to work in high-performance teams - A course with Juan Abellán - Duration: 1:56.

Think of a team that is, in your opinion, of high performance.

What are the qualities and behaviors that the members should possess in

order to acquire that title?

Perhaps they prioritize collective interests to the individual?

Do they understand each other?

Is their ability to respond together to difficulties appropriate?

As you may know, companies are increasingly raising in more competitive,

interconnected, and volatile environments;

therefore, relying on committed and cohesive teams that work together for

a common goal seems to be essential.

You do not need to belong to the Olympic team of rowing or synchronized

swimming to form a high-performance team, but you do need to put in place

a set of guidelines and behaviors that help you achieve this goal.

And, what are these behaviors?

First, getting to know the persons you are working with, in order to

discover their strengths as well as their areas for improvement, and to

find synergies with the rest of the team.

Then, it is vital to work on a common goal, prioritizing it at the

expense of particular interests.

Third, it is important to develop trust relationships among all the

members and generate a good working environment.

And, finally, no need to tell that being able to solve any difficult

situation in a positive and constructive way is primordial.

In this formative itinerary, you will discover the behaviors that make

you a professional who cooperates proactively with his team and, as a

consequence, contributes to reaping better results.

If you want to know, train, and consolidate the key behaviors to working

in a team and achieving high performance, all you have to do is to join

us, and your goal will be achieved!

Involving and delegating, the key tools for a leader - A course with José Aguilar - Duration: 2:45.

Think of the bosses you have had throughout you professional career…

Were they the type who imposed their criteria or did they try to involve and engage the team?

Did they delegate responsibilities or did they hoard the control of all the tasks?

If they did delegate, did they do it correctly?

According to a DDI Consulting study, 5 out o 10 bosses include employees

in the decision-making process of those things that affect them directly

and only 43% think their bosses explain the decisions made.

Actually, 2 out of every 10 employees leave their job mainly because of the boss.

With this data at hand, we can confirm that a boss or leader has great

relevance and responsibility when motivating and implying the

collaborators.

However, it is an ability that many do not bring into play as much as they should.

Typical phrases such as:

"It's difficult for me to delegate…", "It takes more time to explain than

for me to do it…", "I don't trust they will do it correctly…" are

examples of the excuses some bosses use in order to not delegate.

On one hand, to be a good leader it is necessary to be capable of

implying the collaborators so they want to do what they have to do.

It consists in having them do things convinced, not because we impose our criteria.

To do so, leaders must justify their decisions and transmit the benefits

of carrying out the tasks entrusted.

Otherwise, the collaborators will not understand the "why" nor the "for

what" and they will probably become defensive.

On the other hand, leaders must boost their capacity to delegate,

avoiding taking control of all the tasks.

They must give their collaborators wings, give them their confidence and,

little by little, increase their responsibilities.

The objective is to make them feel that we count on them and that they

are developing and growing as professionals.

However, delegating is one of the most complicated behaviours for many leaders.

This has a consequence: they "bear" with more tasks than they should, increasing their stress.

If you want to know, train and reinforce these key behaviours in order to

imply your collaborators, know when and how to delegate, and achieve

maximum performance, come along with us and you will be able to do so.

For more infomation >> Involving and delegating, the key tools for a leader - A course with José Aguilar - Duration: 2:45.

Overcome interpersonal conflicts reinforcing your relationships - A course with Antonio Fdez Aguado - Duration: 2:30.

Think of a conflict situation you have found yourself in within your professional environment.

What produced it? Was it maybe the manners of one of the parts?

The difficulty to find meeting points?

The difficulty to find meeting points?

The incapacity to listen?

Or was it the inflexible attitude of one of you?

Could it have been avoided?

As you know, conflicts are commonplace in personal and professional environments.

There are multiple reasons:

The interests of those who participate in a specific issue do not always match;

these parts maintain remote attitudes in the conversation.

In other occasions, the moment and the behaviours are not the most

adequate for transmitting an idea and this creates discomfort.

In other moments, the emotional state (our own or of others) plays a dirty trick.

Some people tend to get defensive easily, or blame others.

As you can see, there are multiple causes which can create or increase a conflict.

These are just some examples, but there are many more.

The truth is that conflicts can be avoided if we know how to do so and it

is important for all professionals to know how to manage them when they

do arise.

If you are able to do so, you will strengthen your relations with others

and improve the working environment.

The first step is to know how to differentiate a conflict from what is not.

There are people who think that every time you have a difference of

opinion there is a conflict, but it is not so.

The second step is to detect the causes that have produced the conflict.

From there, take the adequate measures to redirect the situation as soon

as possible so as to avoid it from getting worse.

Finally, learn from the experience so the situation is not repeated, as

well as its possible consequences.

It is not necessary to be an expert in psychology or an expert negotiator

to master the techniques of conflict management but it is necessary to

count on specific methods, techniques and guidelines to orientate your

behaviour.

In other words, conflict management can be learned and trained.

If you want to learn about, train and strengthen the habits of successful

professionals who come out reinforced from the conflicts they face,

follow us and you will be able to do so.

For more infomation >> Overcome interpersonal conflicts reinforcing your relationships - A course with Antonio Fdez Aguado - Duration: 2:30.

Communicate in an assertive manner - A course with Ovidio Peñalver - Duration: 1:53.

Think about a person who you find assertive.

What qualities and behavioural traits stand out for you that make them assertive?

Maybe it's their way of communicating, their control, their ability to

get ideas across or maybe their ability to say no.

Assertiveness is a skill that should be used in all interactions between professionals.

For example, when making criticism, requesting something, refusing to do

a task or managing conflicts that may emerge with customers or between

colleagues.

The problem is that many professionals do not know what assertiveness is or how to use it.

This means that many problems persist and the aims of each person, the

relationship they have and the individual and collective mood can be

affected.

You don't need to be an expert in communication or psychology to be an

assertive person, but you do need to have a methodology, techniques and

specific guidelines to guide your behaviour.

In other words, assertiveness can be learned and developed.

How can you achieve this?

Well, firstly, knowing how you communicate.

Secondly, detecting situations that you find it difficult to resolve.

Thirdly, specifying what prevents or makes it difficult for you to

overcome these communications problems in the right way.

Finally, working on the necessary guidelines to improve your assertiveness.

This specifically is the aim of this training programme.

If you want to learn about, work on and consolidate the habits for being

an assertive person who reaches their goals, come with us and you'll

achieve it.

Effective oversight: Definitive key to ensure results - A course with Javier Fernández Aguado - Duration: 2:35.

Imagine that you set one of your coworkers a task and you give them a deadline to get it done by;

when the day comes for them to show you the results, the task isn't

finished or at least not to standards you had requested.

What would happen? You surely wouldn't reach the deadline for delivering

the project, tasks would have to be repeated, you would have to explain

the standard you want once again, there would be mutual reproaches for

not having explained or understood the task, etc.

This happens more often than it should due to the fact that:

Either the leaders don't monitor.

Or they do not do it correctly, whether this is due to the time they

choose to do it or the way in which they monitor.

But, can this situation and its consequences be avoided?

The answer is yes, though applying monitoring and follow-up skills on your coworkers.

Monitoring involves investing time in going through things with the

coworkers, advising them, motivating them and correcting them.

The problem is that not all leaders are willing to make this investment

and many of them just demand results.

Furthermore, this monitoring should not be the same for all tasks nor for

all coworkers, since it should be customised and personalised according

to each person.

The question is, what is the right way to monitor?

Firstly, by being aware of your role when it comes to monitoring your team.

Secondly, by communicating the individual goals and their contribution to the organisation.

Thirdly, by analysing the results achieved and any possible faults.

Fourthly, by informing the collaborator about their performance,

development and their contribution to the team.

Finally, by establishing innovative procedures to monitor follow up on the coworkers' activities.

These are the goals of this training programme.

If you want to learn, train and consolidate your keys skills for

monitoring and following up with your coworkers, come with us and you'll

achieve it.

How to enhance the motivation of your team - A course with Silvia Escribano - Duration: 1:47.

Think about what motivates and demotivate each member of your team...

is this connected to their salaries, with a good working environment,

with growth possibilities, etc.?

Are you sure about this?

Is this in any way different from what motivates or demotivates you?

It definitely isn't, is it?

People's motivations are the primary driving force for making a team work.

In your case, what role do you think you play in motivating your team?

What are you doing to motivate them or to not demotivate them?

The role that team leaders play regarding the motivation of their coworkers is very important.

So importat, in fact, that some experts say that people do not leave

business but rather distances themselves from their bosses.

But, can we really motivate them?

Some believe that you cannot motivate people it they do not wish to be motivated.

Others believe that employees should get to work ready-motivated and that

the role of the person in charge or the boss is not to motivate people

but rather to get results.

Both of these assumptions are wrong, since we can motivate our coworkers;

motivating the team is not just another task for a leader, it is one of the most important ones.

In fact, it is what makes the team work well and gets them to commit to

the objective, the business and their colleagues.

The key is to know who, when and how to motivate your team.

If you want to learn, train and consolidate your keys skills so that you

can better motivate teams, I encourage you to start on the training

programme.

Customer centricity: the customer at the centre of the business - A course with Luis Huete - Duration: 3:32.

We are all customers, therefore, it is not so difficult to put ourselves

in the shoes and the skin of a customer, because we all are.

So, ask yourself, what do customers like?

What do they value? What is it that makes them loyal to a company?

It is very possible that the answers are very similar to the ones you

would give when you are a customer yourself.

People tend to focus more on the negative than the positive;

in a conversation people tend to talk more about negative things than positive ones.

It is exactly the same with customers, we are more inclined to talk about

bad experiences than good experiences.

The data are usually bad experiences, you tell them to eight people, good

experiences only to two or three.

Social networks and the Internet have multiplied the bad experiences that

the customers have with the company and they have boosted that behaviour.

People look on the Internet for comments from other customers to make

purchasing, product and service decisions.

The percentage of people who access the Internet is increasing.

For example, in Spain, 20 million people have a Facebook account and

there are many positive or negative comments about experiences they have

had.

So, the question I ask you is this:

don't you think that with the Internet the impact of the service quality is increasing?

For this reason, we need to encourage and develop our ability or our customer orientation skills.

But what is customer orientation?

It is basically an attitude and maybe also a feeling and a way of living.

It is also means putting the customer's interests first and even,

sometimes, over those of the company.

And it is the art of knowing how to connect with the head and the heart

of the person in front of you.

The question I ask you is:

How do we move from those attitudes or that feeling to what really

interests us, that is, the behaviours that you have to promote to achieve

that prized customer satisfaction?

First, we must get to know very well our customers expectations, what

lies behind them, listening to them.

And, secondly, we have to translate those expectations into service

quality standards in a way that the service exceeds expectations.

This is about bringing value to the customer and you do it, and you know

it, an excellent, friendly, close treatment.

Also with speed of response, with personalization and proactivity, a

non-intrusive proactivity that makes clear that behind it there is an

interest to serve.

And finally, it is critical to develop a very good communication with the

customers, open, sincere, real communication;

that communication will allow us to know what they think about us, how they see our competitors.

And for that, you have to use all the means at your disposal:

listening but also making satisfaction surveys, reading what is said in social networks, etc.

If you want to know, train and consolidate key behaviours to be customer

oriented, I encourage you to take this training itinerary.

How to lead productive meetings - A course with Francisco López de Seoane - Duration: 1:56.

Think of the last meetings you have gone to.

Were they really necessary?

Were they productive? Was time used correctly?

Were they called well in advance?

Could they have been carried out in less time?

Besides being necessary and adequate tools for managing projects and

working in teams, in many occasions meetings are used inappropriately,

due to a lack or an excessive amount of them.

Sometimes we overuse them, leading to "meetingtitis", acute mania for meetings.

Other times they are incorrectly planned or are poorly coordinated or lead.

Many times there isn't an adequate agenda.

The topics spoken about have nothing to do with the meeting or some of

the attendants take centre stage when it does not belong to them.

And, in the worst of cases, the meeting becomes a demand o complaint

forum for some of the attendants.

This can lead to unnecessary conflicts and arguments.

For this reason, it is necessary for all professionals who work in teams

and projects boost their skills to lead and direct meetings.

To achieve this, it is important to apply a series of successful behaviours, such as:

First, plan the meeting adequately.

Second, make it dynamic by controlling the agenda and the contributions of the attendants.

• Third, have a clear objective of the meeting as well as the timing for each topic.

• Finally, have an adequate closing in which you draw up the commitments in the minutes.

Public speaking for success - A course with Juan Ramón Lucas - Duration: 2:11.

Think of a situation in which you had to speak in public.

How did you feel?, did you get nervous?, did you have the feeling that

you were going to forget what you had to say or, on the contrary, did you

feel some sort of adrenaline that activated you?

Did you use and support yourself on notes or made the speech by heart?

Was it better or worse than you expected?

Speaking in public is an ability increasingly in demand by companies, in

order to use it, for example, when making presentations to customers,

staff meetings, giving training courses or reports, etc.

In spite of its importance, it is an ability of which many professionals avoid like the plague.

Why? There are a number of reasons, but the fear of making a fool of

oneself, of being criticised, or of exposing oneself in front of a group

of people who are going to judge "from head to foot" are some of the most

common ones.

The insecurity that is caused when standing in front of an audience is

due, in many cases, to the personality, the shyness, but also due to the

lack of preparation.

In both cases, you can overcome this reluctance of speaking in public if

you know the techniques to do it properly.

You do not need to be Steve Jobs or the presenter Oprah Winfrey to manage

to impress your audience, but it is necessary to count on methods and

specific guidelines that will guide your behaviour.

In other words, speaking in public can be learnt and trained.

How? First of all, by managing your fear.

Secondly, by preparing appropriately what you are going to say and how you are going to say it.

As Juan Tamariz said "the best improvisation is the prepared one."

Thirdly, you have to follow an appropriate structure adapted to the

subject and to your audience, and finally show yourself natural, close

and coherent.

As a matter of fact, these are some of the behaviours on which we are

going to work in this training itinerary.

If you want to know, train and consolidate the habits of the great

communicators and make sure that your presentations are a success, join

us and you will achieve it.

Influence other people with your communication - A course with Javier Fernández Aguado - Duration: 2:05.

What makes us able to convince any person?, why some people cannot make it?

What skills must be put into action in order to positively influence the other people?

You will find the answer in the development of the ability:

communication, impact and influence.

According to Forbes magazine, this ability is one of the ten most

demanded by companies and all professionals should master it.

And, why is it so important?

If you analyze the relationships you have with other people in your

personal or professional environment, in all of them you must put your

communication and your ability to persuade them and influence them into

action.

In short, 95% of your time is spent communicating, involving and trying to persuade other people.

For this reason, being able to increase the likelihood to influence helps

to achieve your goals and to keep stable relations with colleagues,

customers, suppliers, bosses and other people.

All this helps you to become a very valuable professional for companies.

The question is, what can you do to impress and influence other people?

First of all, to cause a good impression.

Secondly, to develop your persuasion capacity to convince.

Thirdly, to connect with your interlocutor so that he is interested in what you are saying.

And finally, you must make sure that your message impresses.

As a matter of fact, these are the keys that you will be learning to

master in this training itinerary.

If you want to know, train and consolidate the key behaviours to

communicate, impact and influence other people, join us and you will

Improve your intercultural competence - A course with Antonio Liu Yang - Duration: 2:12.

Hello, were you expecting someone speaking in Chinese?

Did it sound like Chinese?

What sounds "like Chinese" to you "sounds like Spanish" to the Germans, the Czechs and the Croats.

Did you know that communication styles, how to confront conflict

situations, and the perception of time are very different in different

cultures?

For example, some people get annoyed if someone else is very direct in

their communications, on the other hand, some become frustrated if they

have to read between the lines to understand the message.

This is why it is so important to know the values, beliefs and behaviours

of the people you deal with, and have a series of skills and attitudes

that allow you to work in multicultural environments.

In other words, you need to enhance your intercultural competence.

Nowadays, this is one of the most in-demand competences and it is crucial

to the success of both internationalisation and maintaining successful

relationships in the new globalised world.

But what is intercultural competence?

It is a blend of knowledge, attitudes and skills essential for

successfully interacting with people from other cultures.

In other words, it is all you need to be more efficient in an intercultural context.

They are the most important attitudes that you should develop in a diverse environment.

It involves knowing how to manage your emotions to achieve success in a

global environment and entails understanding and mastering the key skills

that will help you build good relationships, gain trust, negotiate with

clients, and work with peers from other countries to achieve your

personal and professional objectives.

If you want to understand, develop and consolidate the key habits and

behaviours needed to succeed in a multicultural environment, join us and

you will.

Home Away From Home | Music Video & Making Of | 101 The Brief - Duration: 9:24.

Tap the bell icon on the YouTube app

And never miss out on unique stories from 101India

The Brief is 101India's celebration of India's creative community

The format is pretty simple

Provide a brief to a creative group or individual

Then sit back and watch as they express themselves

Home

Home

Home

Away from home

Away from home

From a land where no one calls it home

But home to me

From the distance I feel

The ground beneath me

A home away from home

Where the rain shines on an open leaf

From dusk to dawn with no one in sight is where I'll be

Home away from home

Home away from home

Home away from home

From the distance I feel the ground beneath me

Home away from home

Where the rain shines on an open leaf

Home away from home

From dusk to dawn is where I'll be

Home away from home

So what was your thought process behind this track?

The brief was basically trying to bring a visual appeal to rain

We had chosen to use a Theyyam dancer

And the Theyyam dance form

To kind of symbolise that

Just to be able to match those visuals and just how

Grand those visuals are

We kind of had to match that with our music as well

The one instrument that really stood out for me

Was the Santoor

The Santoor has a really nice

Tonal quality to it

And when you delay it a little bit

It sounds like rain is falling

We also wanted to keep it a little contemporary

I used a lot of synth in it

We used a bass synth that we created

We got a little bit of Indian

And also got a contemporary sound to the track

Just to show the weight of the dancer

I mixed these really heavy

Cinematic percussive drums

I used timpanis that I merged with

Ghatam and tabla in places

I came in much later in the process

A lot had already been done

When I finally saw the video and the music

And everything come together

It felt like all these great people

From completely different fields of work

Have come together to create this

Really amazing project

Since we've worked together

I have a good idea of the tone of your voice

It's got this really haunting tone to it

But it has an uplifting side to it as well

This song was basically inspired by

You know, this introspective sentimentality

This home away from home you can always go to

The monsoon brings destruction, but it also brings life

I feel that's what the track showed me as well

The verses in the beginning

They're quite dark and sombre

But as you get to the chorus

It suddenly becomes this uplifting song

That's what I loved about it

I wanted it to be cinematic

Personally, that's the kind of music I like to create

We had the visuals, we had the music

We had a lot of sound design

But I wanted to take it to the next level

The only guy I know in the industry

Who could totally kill on a track like this

Was Mr. Shantanu Hudlikar

If the music is interesting to me

Something I would be excited to work on

Yeah, I'll do it

Firstly, the studio is very intimidating

For the first few minutes, I didn't really know

If I was even supposed to talk to him

I just stood back and watched

But once we got about ten minutes into it

We felt like we were all somehow connected

I felt that someone my age

And someone of his caliber

Were actually working on something together

I think that eased me into it after ten minutes

To be very honest

I'd rather work with young kids

Than with the established artists

Because that's where the freshness is

I had just a rough mix

Of how I wanted the track to sound

I had to say no more

He just completely got it

What does the track do to you?

What does that piece of music do to you?

I need to try and excel every time

That I am behind this particular console

Because I'm playing with other people's creativity

I dare not do anything to screw things up

I think it all just came together

Everyone just had a great time, had a ball

With what they loved doing

You know, I see the video

And the amount of work that went into it

I think I'm quite happy

How to reduce argues to zero - Duration: 3:38.

Let me tell you about my method

to reduce fights and argues

almost to zero

I do not go into argues

if this issue is not within the following four categories

life risk

health risk

hurts a person - physically or mentally

or harms animals or nature

if the issue is not one of these

the argue and the fight about this issue

will cause more harm and more damage

than the issue itseld

it will cause harm to your mood

it will cause harm to the mood of the other person

and it will cause harm to your relationship

now when I say that I don't argue about it

it doesn't mean that I just let it go

I do try to explain my point

but if I see that the other person

is not convinced after one time

I explained myself and my points

and still insists

that the things need to be in his way

I just let it go

why?

because I'm not ready to waste my time and energies

arguing about something that is not important

and if it's none of these four categories

it's not important

and also because this other person

need to know how to deal

with the consequences of his decisions and deeds

so let's take an example

this is a very extreme imaginary situation

let's say that we are invited to a wedding

and my husband wants to go to this wedding

dressed in a costume of spiderman

I will try to explain him how ridiculous it will look

and so on making all my points against it

but if after one time I explained myself

he still insists to go to this wedding

in a costume of spiderman

I will just let it happen

no one will die because of it

and no one will be hurt because of it

people actually might have a good laugh because of it

yes this is breaking all the rules!

but so what?!

another example

if my child doesn't want to organize his room

or to do his homework

I will explain him why he should do it

but if he insists not to

I'm not going to fight with him about it

I will just ask him politely

to close the door of his room

so his mess will not disturb me

now if my child wants to do something dangerous

that can risk his life or his health

here I will insist

and I will fight with him

and I will not let him do it

but if it's none of these four categories

it's not important

and I am not going to ruin my day

by fighting about it

it makes my life so much easier

so much more peaceful

I recommend you to adopt this strategy

think about it

bye bye
