Walk By Transition Effect | Tutorial | Adobe Premiere Pro CC (Custom Wipe Reveal & Masking) - Duration: 10:42.

Yo! , How's it going everybody my name is Adam and welcome back to a Premiere Pro

CC 2017 tutorial night today what I'm going to show you guys it's hard to make

your own custom walk by transition or a mask

transition as I like to call it for this instance we're going to call it a walk

by transition so when you sit down to edit you know at the end of the day or

whatever you're just sitting down adding your cello line you're watching through

your clips your footage that you've took and you're like this needs a little bit

of points this needs something different to up the phone make and game if you

guys are looking up your filmmaking game land a new transition that you can throw

in the vlogs throw in the felons throw into anybody you're making if it's

relevant this is a video for you this is what it looks like start to video okay

so what do you guys just watch was the custom transition as something or some

person swipes across the screen it leaves behind a different clip or a

different shot behind that so I'm going to go into premiere right now and that

what I've got here is the timelines already made it's made for the 1080p

time lane I'm just going to drag in these two clips that I took and

basically really wide-angle shot on the street first thing you need to do is you

need to shots one shot of something crossing the screen set up a tripod make

sure the shots completely steady and another shot of just something random or

whatever you want to put in there I went and set up the tripod beside this tunnel

or like an archway where cars train through my sitting this is what I'm

talking about here see this car here if something doesn't swipe across the

screen from top to bottom the entire way across can't do this transition with a

particular thing the thing that swipes across the screen where like be a car

person anything at all as long as it's swipes the whole way across this let me

just demonstrate here it's my hand here it's swiping from the top of the screen

to the bottom of the screen the whole way across if it was here it was weaving

across like this it's not going to work what we've got here is basically a shot

of me walking across the frame just to you know demonstrate how I'm going to do

this so there we have it maybe walking across and boom I'm going to end that

shot right there I'm going to press the C key on my keyboard

bring up the cut until cut that and then just delete the rest of that there and

we're going to go to the start of it here

maybe leave in few seconds beforehand and then cut there and then delete the

back end of that pull this right down to the side of the

time line here right now and I'm also going to delete the audio because I

don't really need it at the moment so I'm gonna press alt click on that and

then backspace that's just deletes all the audio so here we have the first clip

this is it right here and we're going to start creating a mask right now so I'm

just going to zoom end of this clap as much as possible just to get the exact

keyframe whenever the thing comes into shots in

this case it's me I walk into the shot and there okay so you want the first

keyframe whenever there's some gap behind the person so I'm going to skip

forward here a few frames I'll say this one here you can see a little bit of

behind me so that's where we're going to start you can actually create a cop

right here just to make things easier when you're editing collect on your clip

and put this resolution to faux here so it's a lot easier to see and work with

so we know exactly how it's going to look see if you go into your effect

controls you can see here there's a thing called opacity and then a little

pen free draw Bezier tool you're going to click on that and then you can

actually double click on your program window and that will make it the full

size of your strings you can do a lot more stuff with it or you can actually

see where you're working so I'm just going to create a mask draw our own in

point right myself for some reason it's not showing up right now but it should

in a moment yep there we go as you can see can actually make this a little bit

small I'm going to do 25% just to show you guys I'm going to click out here

click out here boom there we've got it we've created our mask it's just we've

just selected the area that is behind me so you're probably going to Adam you've

kind of destroyed the shot here it's a little but cropped

dooring we're going to fix that what you want to do now is go into your mask

options or mask settings and just click inverted check that little box and all

invert the mask to flip it around so before we start working through the

frame this is a very very important part very key part you want to click your

keyframe so we're going to click mask paths last feller math capacity and mask

expansion as you can see here and that creates a keyframe on this one frame of

what's happening with the mask and you can also tweak your sentence on the mask

so you can like add a little bit more fail you can add a little more expansion

if you need to you can do an expansion I think yeah you can see as you can see

your the expansion is how much I expand into that shots if you want to

just perfect you can do say maybe there and then add a little bit of feather and

that just sort of smoothes it out a little bit more and then if you want

then now a little bit more expansion so what we're going to do now is we're

going to click on our mask but we're going to go one frame forward using our

arrow keys one frame forward Texas one frame forward you're going to add them

the mask gets done on the same place don't worry see if you click on your

mask right now this will show you the points but because we've keyframed the

mask we can get the mask to actually move so I'm just going to pull these

down here now just to sell on the parts that's happening here and this is just

going to create a new keyframe for each one of these points if you even need to

add more points you can just click somewhere randomly and then pull the

points so it's perfect the way you want it and then if you hold alt waist click

it on a point you can actually band the mask that you made so if you get a curve

point you can go ahead and make some curves there but my legs can't straight

there let's see what's going on over here ok I think I'm happy with that you

know what to do again the next arrow key will take you another frame forward as

you can see and then we're just going to continue to do this over and over and

over for each single frame until them completely out of the shot just

demonstrate one more time here just kind of pulleys then as you go along as well

you can actually adjust your feather your expansion everything as you go

along with everything is keyframes I like the keyframe everything when I'm

working with things just so it's a lot more neat and tidy that's that one

keyframe we're going to add a little bit more feather there just it looks a

little bit you know making me look skinny we're going to a little bit

forward and do this again so you're basically doing this for every

single frame throughout the same as you go a long night make sure that you don't

mess a keyframe or you make sure you don't nothing sticks out if it dodge off

the back track and there won't be a plasma experience I don't make sure you

don't leave any gaps like that at the bottom here if I go to 25% this could be

a little gap here so make sure they're well it is a way and there we go that's

that keyframe done so as I go through these keyframes right you see the mask

following me behind me for the ones that we've done because each time we changed

it and the keyframe knows that that's what you do on that frame the mask does

that on that frame you're telling it what the dose before move on though as

you can see here there's a little bit of a space which I'm going to get rid of

just but I'm a little bit more expansion boom you don't even notice and I see

I want to continue do all this myself and they'll get back to wants of

keyframed every single part okay so there's one thing you should mention

just as you come to the end of your complete you know wipe you want to

completely wipe off the screen so as you're doing this as the person goes out

of frame just before I finish this up you want to pull the mask completely

over so the whole screen is black so who's coming up the end here and as I'm

leavin the screen or as your subject is leaving the screen you just want to

completely pull it in over them and whenever they leave the screen pull the

mask completely over that so that they're completely blacked out in the

whole screen completely black diet it's really time consuming you need a lot of

patience for this put a it really it is worth the time because it really just

improves your fellow making skills so so much more

people always ask Adam how did you do that transition is that a transition you

buyer how did you get it to go run you yourself or around that car really does

pay off because it creates a stunning effect

almost off the screen here and I go forward one more frame and that's

basically me Gaughan's I'm going to pull these right over and I just go back a

few frames we go back here you can see it's following me it's flip it around

all over the place you don't want it to look gold jumpy and lag in weird so as

you watch through it a couple more times but you can actually go through each

individual frame specs the things that you doesn't see whenever the mask was

there sometimes a little dots and the lanes can hide what you're actually

seeing so be sure to watch over it again once you completely wipe it off the

screen so that's what I'm going to tidy up a few things and then I'll show you

how to put the clip and behind that okay somehow drew this night if you're

obviously doing this yourself you want it to look really on point you can spend

a lot more time on it than I have here this is just for demonstration purposes

this is what it looks like right now I play this here walking path that leads

blackness behind me and that's what the next shots going to go to put the next

shot in here what we're going to do is we're going to go back there cane line

here and we're going to take the mask part that we've made here this whole

section I'm going to take it and drag it off the video layer to you and then

we're going to take the other clip that you want to put behind that you're

essentially making a mask take a Photoshop in layers this has just

layered off the part that we wanted to the inverted mask lair so take the club

that you want to put in the black part nine just simply put it underneath and

then Bob's your teapot you just put it in there play it and boom it reveals the

club behind it that's how you do a walk-by transition eleven you in the

comments what you guys thought obviously can do a lot more neat and tidy this is

just like whenever you put the club behind it you notice a lot more mistakes

and you what it's black so here if you want to look even better you're

obviously tighten up a little bit more it's just nothing for a client so

wouldn't really put much work and there's just sure you guys I would do

this transition the easiest way to do a walk-by transition let me know down in

Hello tankers!

In today's episode we'll be talking about

the upcoming changes in supplies and overdrives.

We'll also be announcing a new Weekend giveaway event with cool prizes.

If everything goes according to plan, in the next week or two,

we'll be implementing a massive update that will affect supplies and overdrives.

Let's start with supplies.

We'll be changing how the Repair kit works.

It will heal a big chunk of your hitpoints upon activation,

and then will heal the rest of your health bar over several seconds.

More importantly, if you receive any damage during that period of time, healing will stop.

This will make the Repair Kit more fair.

Right now, the Repair Kit heals you over two seconds,

which makes you almost invincible during this time.

We want to make Tanki a little fairer for players without supplies.

Also, close combat turrets such as FireBird, Freeze and Isida,

now suffer a lot in supply-battles

when wasting their energy bars against healing enemies.

The experiment that took place in Spring,

gave us some very useful data.

One of our general goals

was to make it possible to destroy enemies who use supplies ALL THE TIME.

Based on this data,

the active time of Double Armor, Double Damage and Speed Boost,

will be decreased,

while cooldowns will take longer.

Moreover we'll be decreasing SMART cooldowns.

We want to decrease smart cooldowns

to make it possible to have a full set of supplies faster,

for when you're on your way to the enemy base.

But you need to understand

that if you choose to activate a full supply set,

you'll be vulnerable for a while after that.

We also decided to drop one of the mechanics we used in the experiment.

It is when supply cooldowns do not reset after respawning.

It didn't achieve its goal,

which was to weaken a bit those players who spam supplies.

It also had some side effects like

"you're dead, you've respawned in your base,

and you can't do anything against your enemies."

Now about the interface.

Sound effects will indicate when supplies are activated,

and when they run out.

When a supply becomes available after a cooldown,

the game will alert you with both a sound AND a visual effect.

This means you won't have to pay attention

to the supplies panel at the bottom of the screen.

Now let's talk about overdrives.

As many have already guessed,

this mechanic will be returning to the game as a permanent feature.

It will be implemented in the game together with the changes in supplies.

Here's how the final version will work:

Overdrive's active time will be decreased,

to correspond to the active time of supplies after the update.

Just like before, the progress indicator will fill up

with every kill, flag or other action you perform for your team.

However, this will NOT happen while Overdrive is active.

This is how Supplies and Zero-supply worked during Tanki's last Birthday celebrations.

We did this to eliminate situations

where 2 or 3 tanks use the feature in quick succession

after killing enemies in their base right after they have respawned.

This update will also include new interface elements

a new Overdrive progress indicator,

and an icon that appears above your tank when Overdrive is ready to activate.

Of course if you prefer not to use this new game mechanic,

you can also deactivate it when creating a PRO battle.

Will we ever implement the Overdrives with flying tanks and atomic strikes

that you proposed in the special forum thread?

You'll find out in upcoming VLOGs.

We haven't had a giveaway event in a while.

So this weekend, we're having a crazy weekend giveaway.

This time the rules are a bit different.

The number of kills has changed, and you can do it across two days,

without having to eat and sleep at your PC for 24 hours.

Here are the rules

Tankers need to make 400, 900 or 2000 kills in TWO days, in NON PRO battles.

It's quite a challenge, BUT we've increased the rewards!

400 kills bring you 3 gold boxes.

900 kills bring you 5 gold boxes, and 3 days of Premium.

And if you can hit 2000 kills in two days,

you will get 10 gold boxes, 5 days of Premium, and the Steak paint,

if you don't already have it.

Moreover, on Monday, the 26th of June,

we'll be randomly choosing 3 players who have made more than 2000 kills,

and we will reward them with a Dream tank

consisting of a fully upgraded turret, hull and protection module of their choice,

available at their level.

And to make this weekend more exciting,

we're also having some discounts in the Shop and Garage,

plus 50% increased battle funds in non-PRO Battles.

Last week, the English eSports team, together with the Broadcasting team,

organized a live stream for a cool new event called The Arena.

In it, two prominent clans from the community

ALL KIND, and PENGUINS

battled for 4 rounds to see who would capture the most flags.

The interesting part was that the map

was announced to the teams just ONE hour prior to the event.

Additionally, the map was one that isn't usually featured in eSports events.

This means that the teams had just one hour

to prepare their strategy for an unfamiliar map.

Moreover, each team member had to have a different hull and a different turret.

In the end, ALL KIND delivered a crushing defeat

and are now the current champions of The Arena…

that is, until someone knocks them down!

It just feels, you know, very analog, and looks incredible.

I am Jason LaRocca. I am a film scoring mixer and music producer.

And I have done the music for films like The Accountant, Paddington and Joy

- and a new TV-show, A Series of Unfortunate Events for Netflix, as well as

- American Crime for ABC and Once Upon A Time for ABC as well.

My current workflow involves metering quite a bit, actually, and in the past,

- I've used a series of plug-ins and would put them on a dedicated screen,

- so that I could have frequency analysis, metering analysis against full scale.

But now, I'm using the Clarity M and it's incredible. It's taking all of that processing and DSP,

- that I formerly had used with plug-ins and, you know, computer screens.

And now it sits right here on this dedicated computer, and it's just incredible.

The phase correlation is just killer. I use it for everything.

I can just solo up drum overheads left and right, and I can see right away

- on the screen, if it's, you know, out of phase with the phase correlation meter.

It's just incredible. The resolution of it is unbelievable.

It's giving me peaks when I'm going over, and I know my print has a digital over on it.

It's just fabulous. I'm just looking at it the whole time while I'm mixing.

I think for me, actually, one of the most important aspects of the metering is just

- having a real-time frequency analyzer of what's happening, especially down in

- the low end, from 60 Hz down to the bottom.

It's fabulous, and then also, you know, having the Radar and being able to see

- the whole history of the loudness of my track, as I've mixed it.

Where it's been, and where it's going.

These are just things, that you can't find in a plug-in, you know.

Right now, I'm using the meter in stereo because this is a stereo mix of a pop song,

- but a lot of the time, I'm mixing in 5.1 and having that meter with all six channels

- of my master mix as well as, you know, the frequency analyzer, that's this high resolution

- while I've still got six hundred plus tracks going on in the session.

The resolution stays perfect and beautiful regardless of how much, I'm taxing my computer.

It's an indispensable tool, really, to have that at my fingertips and it's always there.

I don't have to set it up with each session and mess around with menus and stuff like that.

It's always there, it's like a console, you know, it feels like a console master section.

The way, it should be! It's just always there,

- and you can always just see, what's happening with your mix.

I like to see a 5.1 master meter of all my channels, and I can change

- the order of it, depending on how I like to see it.

If I like to see it left-right, center, then sub and then the surround, I can change that,

so that it's surround and then sub.

I can change the order of the tracks on the meter, which is great.

So, again, I like just having those basic tools at a quick glance, you know.

I love that it's portable, and I can take it with me to any studio, that I go in.

You know, in the past I had to install three or four plug-ins at a studio

- and then get them up on the window and then I had my metering.

Where as now I can just take this with me and be ready to go.

Hi I'm Rue Asher, Hypnotherapist and Coach

in Sussex, specializing in weight loss

and weight control. In this four-part

series I'm talking about how to

successfully keep off the weight

you've lost. I'm offering some strategies

on how to avoid the pitfalls of going

back to those old eating habits. In

this Part 3 of my four-part series

I'm going to describe an approach to

food and eating which doesn't

mean that you have to permanently be on

a diet - one that works for me and can

hopefully work for you too. So budgeting

not dieting. Personally I like to be

relaxed about what I do to the weekends

you know and a little more careful maybe

during the week - this allows me to

really enjoy those treats guilt-free. My

'inner feeder' is very manipulative and

will often remind me that I'm eating

healthy food and therefore I don't have

to watch my portion sizes. But I know

this is actually a lie. So I do a little

bit of maintenance at the beginning of

the week by budgeting my food intake a

little. Budgeting is part of most

people's lives, otherwise we'd eventually

run out of money and find ourselves in a

lot of debt. In order to enjoy a nice holiday

every so often or buy a new

outfit, we reign in our spending some of

the time. Likewise with weight

maintenance it's not about restriction

but budgeting for the days

when you want to eat a little more. Or

ladies once a month when our hormones dictate

that we throw a carb party! If you feel

your portion sizes are slowly increasing,

a simple way to keep on track is to use

a free app such as

My Fitness Pal to help keep

you on track. It's all about 80:20

which means that you're eating

well 80 % of the time and a little bit

more indulgently 20% of the time.

Another tip is to not over stimulate

your appetite. Keep it simple during

the week. Keep your fancy cooking and

going out for meals at the weekends. To

weigh or not to weigh? That really is the

question.

If regularly weighing yourself

keeps you maintaining your weight then

by all means get on the scales, but only

once a week and don't become obsessed!

Personally I haven't weighed myself in

about six months. I keep a pair of jeans

that I know if I can get into it's

all good and if they begin to feel tight -

a little bit of food budgeting may be
