I got to get myself together, 'cause obviously --
I got to get me some damn dirt.

I mean, how did you get into sand art?
My father was an artist.
My mother was an artist.
Even had an uncle named Artie, so go figure.
But I also had a line of storytellers,
and so all of my art had to be telling stories.
Where do you perform?
I got started when I was pastoring a church.
My wife sent me to the hardware store to get some mulch,
and I was walking down an aisle where they had bags of sand,
and one of the bags had ripped open
and spilled out on the floor.
People had scuffed through it.
And so, as an artist, you see images everywhere.
I started dragging my toe through the sand,
thinking, "Maybe I can do something with that."
So, I got home with the mulch,
but I also had a sackful of sand
and a kitchen light fixture.
I cobbled this thing together in my garage
and started tinkering with it.
And, boom, the images started coming together.
Well, I hear that you have something in store
for us tonight.
I got something special just for you, Steve.
For me?

Have you ever been the effect of somebody else's energy? I mean you walk
into a room and you're happy and all of a sudden you feel anger or some level of

create a point of delineation you begin to simply recognize that from here to
here is me and everything else is for my entertainment. When that begins to be
understood and stabilized the ability to manage yourself becomes much easier.

Hot n New Suspension Series Ep. 14: 6" BDS Lift for 14+ GM 1500 Trucks - Duration: 5:39.
- Hey guys Brad here with Custom Offsets.

This is gonna be an episode of Hot New Suspension,
similar to one we already did, but a little different.
This is a six inch BDS kit,
for 14 and up GM half-ton trucks.
So, Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500.
We did a six inch before,
but this one is different
because the customer got the optional add-a-leafs
and he stuck with the basic BDS-NX2 nitro shocks,
rather than the FOX upgrades.
Well we'll run through the kit again in terms
of what all you get and what is included.
We'll start off
with the lower control arm drop cross members.
This is going to be the front most cross member
for the lower control arms
and this is going to be the rear most one.
You can see here,
there's a spot for this differential brace to go.
Where it'll actually go in here like this.
Connect to that one to brace the front differential,
because you're gonna drop it down
with this differential drop brackets.
So, we've got differential drop brackets,
drop the diff' down.
The support piece,
which is really nice to keep the diff' supported in there,
and gusseted properly,
so it's not moving around or flexing under load.
Moving on to the knuckles here,
you've got BDS's forged lift knuckles here.
They're nice pieces, nicely powder coated and black.
For the CV axles they give you the CV axle spacers.
So, you're not over extending the CV axles.
And, then, should mention this,
this BDS kit comes with this here,
which is gonna be their lift strut.
So, that in the front end their not gonna use
a spacer on top of the strut to achieve the lift up front.
They'd rather use a full replacement strut upfront
to achieve the six inches of lift.
So, you will have to compress your old spring,
remove the spring,
and put it on to the new strut.
I think that about covers, they also,
BDS gives you these new outer tie rod ends, which is nice .
So, that you don't have to mess with
the cutting the old ones,
and cutting your inners and stuff like that.
They just give you the proper ones that you need,
and you're ready to go.
That's pretty much it for the front of the truck.
Of course we've got our skid plates and such.
This is going to be the one differential skid plate.
That's gonna be another differential skid plate,
and this is going to be the front skid plate.
And, that pretty much covers the front of the truck.
Moving back to the back of the truck.
For suspension wise we got
We got the standard lift blocks in the rear.
This customer chose to get the optional add-a-leaf
to bring the rear end up even higher.
And, he probably is planning on doing some towing
and stuff like that.
So, guys will get the add-a-leafs to keep the rear end
from sagging when you hook up a heavy trailer to the back.
And, then like I said before
we've got the standard NX2 shocks which
are BDS's standard nitro shock that comes
in the base price of every lift kit,
unless other wise noted.
Got a bunch of hardware here.
They also include longer sway bar end links
for the front as well.
To keep your sway bar at the proper angle.
Other relocation brackets,
this is gonna be for the leaf springs and such.
But, yeah we've got all the hardware bagged up.
The U-Bolts for the rear,
and I think that's pretty much it.
Another thing I guess I should probably talk about
is on the 14 and up GM half ton trucks,
there's three different control arm configurations,
that GM uses.
And, you need to know what style
your truck has before you can purchase the right lift kit.
There's steel cast aluminum and stamped steel.
This particular truck here,
it might be a little hard to see,
but they're painted black
and their kind of a little faded look.
A lot of times they'll be a little rusty,
and those are going to be the cast iron control arms,
or the, sorry cast steel control arms.
And, that's what this particular truck has,
but there's also two other options.
And, we get confusion with that a lot of times
cause' people are sometimes unsure
of what control arm they actually have.
And, so I always just tell people,
if you're not sure, just send, email us a picture of it
and we'll be able to tell for you.
Once you have that figured out
then you can choose the proper kit.
Like I said this is gonna to be the BDS 6 inch 42014
and up GM half ton trucks, Silverado and Sierra 1500.
I think that's about it pretty much.
Like I said, we had another video on a 6 inch,
but that video was with FOX shocks
and there was no add-a-leafs.
So, this kit is a little different.
These add-a-leafs are an option.
I believe they're about $55 or so,
but yup that's about it.
We're gonna go install this on the truck.

And, yeah we're done.

Hello everybody! Welcome to Monday.
As you can see I am busy unpacking.
Andrew and I got home yesterday from Anaheim. We attended the VidCon 2017 YouTube
conference and had a great time. So today it's been all about doing the things,
unpacking, putting things away... I didn't leave the house quite in the tidy order
that I like to before going on vacation so kind of just catching up on that today.

Oh who am I kidding?
Let's just dump it out.

Okay, got that done.
Alton was super excited to see us yesterday when we got home.
Drew's dad's been staying with us and so
he watched him I think Alton might have been a little bit
spoiled while we were gone.
So Alton is out getting a walk now and hopefully
that will help tucker him out. He's been wanting to play
at night so when we're all wanting to get ready for bed
he goes to a toy box and starts getting his squeaky toys and pacing around
getting all excited. I'm wondering if it's a little bit of anxiety with the
fireworks because it's that time of year and he does not like the fireworks but
last night I shut him in our bedroom and he settled down, so you know I think
every night it's going to be a little bit of a surprise.
So one of the really good panels I went to VidCon was put on by three YouTube engineers and it talked
about search and getting found on YouTube because of the huge amount of
video content that's on their platform every day. And they said you know you
really need to focus-- or we encourage you to focus on growing your community.
Basically create content that people want to come back and watch. So one
suggestion that the engineers gave for helping to grow your community and grow
your viewership is to proactively ask your audience what they would like you
to do on your channel. What videos would they like to see you make. And I think
that's a great idea. At the end of the day I will always want
to create content that does energize me and it motivates me to want to make it,
but I also definitely want to provide content that you enjoy watching.
So please we made some suggestions in the comments below about different kinds of
things that you like to see me do on my channel. About different videos maybe
you'd like me to see make whether they be cooking videos or organization videos or
different disability topics you want to learn about or you know creative projects.
