After my first two videos I noticed in the comments that most of you guys can't relate to my "unique" experiences.

I guess not everyone is a killjoy and no one probably freestyle dance when they were in Kindergarten

So I want to do something that's #relatable for you guys

someone recommended to do a video on Procrastination

and when I heard it, I was all like

"Daaaang. Why didn't I think of that"

Wait...

Seriously, why hadn't I thought of that?

The only thing I've been doing since summer started was procrastinating.

There's definitely something wrong with my brain here

So kudos to you, Devy, for giving me a good topic to talk about.

You're the real MVP

I can understand why procrastination is so common

I guess a lot of people just like to do things they want instead of things they need to do

I mean, even my Script Editor even procrastinated while fixing the script for this video.

Looking at YOU, WJ!

It doesn't matter whether you're doing your homework editing a video or making a report

Procrastination will always find a way to seduce you.

Now I know some of you in the comments will probably be all like

Pssssh

Larry, it's not that hard to stop procrastinating. You just have to focus on the task at hand you idiot

Shhhh- Shhh- Shh- Shhhh...

Shut up, you butt face

Procrastination isn't just something you can turn off and on at will

*sniff*

It's like a drug, man.

Once you get on it, it ain't that simple to get off, y'know

y'know what I'm sayin'?

One moment you're writing a script for this video

and before you know it, you're playing Overwatch with a bunch of buttheads

Think procrastination as like walking across a floor full of mousetraps.

You're bound to set off another one

and another one

If it wasn't clear enough procrastination is dangerous.

Nothing good ever comes from procrastinating.

Except for one thing

but I'll talk about that later

A good example would be when I was making the second video

which, by the way, I think you guys should TOTALLY watch it.

Let me explain,

After I uploaded my first video.

I was feeling extremely motivated to get another video out.

For once in my life I actually felt full of energy to do something.

so I started making it.

The only problem was, I thought I knew what I needed to do already

and that gave me an overwhelming amount of confidence,

TOO MUCH, IN FACT

Now, procrastination and overconfidence go hand in hand

like bleach and ammonia

LETHAL

What do I mean by that?

Well, I'll tell you

Since I don't really have a deadline for making my videos, I thought to myself

"I don't have to make the script NOW"

"I already know what I have to say, nothing to worry about."

I ended up finishing it after a WEEK AND A HALF!

Ugh! So what? That's only like – a week and three days. What's wrong with that?

Here's the thing though

I made my first video in a week.

That's writing the script

Sending it over to my editor

Recording the Lines

Drawing the Frames

and editing them

All within the span of

7 DAYS!!

So it took me a month to finish something that I could've done IN A WEEK

See the problem now?

The end result felt rushed and I wasn't too happy with the video.

I expected it to be something else

I expected it to be something MORE…

than this

Seriously though, just imagine a world where people don't procrastinate.

Our society could've been so much more advanced by now.

No delays. No distractions

it just sounds amazing,

Yet, it also sounds incredibly boring

Now don't get me wrong

procrastination has led me to doing things that I regret most of the time

but there are other times when it can also help me.

Wait, what?

Larry, you already got me, we can agree that procrastinating is a bad thing.

Why are you switching sides all of a sudden?!

Well, if it wasn't for procrastination, I wouldn't have learned how to think quickly.

Procrastination can be very effective if you have some sort of deadline.

Let me explain.

There was this one time at school when I had to write an essay about a story that we had to read in 2 days.

I'm going to go straight to the point here. I didn't do jack squat for those two days.

And after realizing what I did, I immediately tried to assess the problem.

How?

By procrastinating even more until I had only 2 hours left to the deadline

Stupid move, but hear me out

After repeatedly delaying myself while thinking about the project, I immediately panicked and started doing it

Like seriously, even my friend was scared when I jumped out of my chair

I read the entire story within five minutes then pulled out a pen and went for Alexander Hamilton in that crap

I was literally writing like I was running out of time, and I freaking finished it and passed it on time

And I got a C...

I could've done better

I could've been a B or...

B...

But hey, I'll take it

C's make degrees, am I right?

What I'm getting at here is that

even though procrastination may be an excuse for us to delay our tasks,

it can also help you out in some situations you can't normally do without a bit of pressure.

Heck, I wouldn't have finished that essay in those 2 days anyway

Because I'm not the type of person who can just sit down and read a book.

I'd rather stare at a wall than read a book,

I'm sorry for any bookworms out there

but I actually think the wall looks more interesting than a bunch of texts

In conclusion,

Procrastination can be either good or bad depending on how you use it

It can make you forget about what you're doing

But it can also give you that little push to finish the job

though, I do still recommend doing your work instead of waiting until the very last minute

Hello and welcome to another new episode of learning simplified.

So it is a brief introduction to this mobile responsiveness and in this lesson we are going

to know about some basic needs of making your site

mobile responsive, why and how it used to be done in our previous cases and all before

this Bootstrap and foundation mobile responsive framework.

So this is the thing that we are going to learn in this tutorial and the last and obvious

thing is, how to download Bootstrap from its original or official website, and we are going

to learn about some basic syntax, tools required...

So let's hope into this tutorial.

Now in case of methods of making mobile friendly sites, you can say that making the site using

percentage analysis is the first method that we can use, we can adopt,

and in this particular case calculations are based on percentage and em unit unit of pixels

is not accounted for in this case.

That means so far we were considering a 1000px outwrapper and then we were putting

our contents inside into this outwrapper part, but in this case, the width of outwrapper

is taken as 100%, and in declaring the font size, and the margin and

the padding, or this kind of stuff, unit used here is em, not the unit of pixel, and we

have shown you how to use em as an unit in our previous tutorials.

So you may go through our previous tutorials to see them in action.

No it has a many shortcomings out there, the major of it is

orientation.

In case of larger previews such as 1920 X 1080 pixel dimension we have seen that the

stuffs that we put inside this wrapper,those are getting stretched

and in case of smaller devices, those are getting squeezed and the contents inside are

getting overlapped or overlaid on each other and it is totally a hotchpotch

thing to see and they are just getting disoriented in a disproportionate behavior.

So this calculations based on percentage and EM calculations only, that thing was

obsolete soon.

But in case of rejecting these calculations based on percentage, there must be an alternative

to that and that is why they have introduced a new kind

of framework, we are using now the grid system that means breaking this whole media width

is being divided into 12 grids as we have seen in case of bootstrap and

foundation, on the other hand they are involving percentage calculations in case of a certain

media width and beyond them they are using percentage calculation on

stacking contents one upon each other.

So this is the thing that we are going to learn here about.

But first let's concentrate on the tools we will be needing here

so far.

So tools required in this purpose.

Which tools should be used in case of mobile responsiveness?

Now the first and the obvious thing is, did text editor.

Any editor will do, atom, sublime, Dreamweaver.

you can use notepad.

Atom and sublime open and free sources.

So you may use them at anytime, the point is you may use any kind

of text editor.

The second thing is web browser to see the changes in web browser preview, the changes

you have made in your coding.

Any web browser, Firefox, chrome, safari, opera - any browser in latest

condition will go.

I would like to emphasize here on the term latest.

That means those things will be updated.

That is why I will be prescribing you to use any

kind of latest browser.

The third thing is, a code Inspector to inspect the coding or trace the class name out of

the bunch of a coding.

Let's say as an example, if you use Firefox then firebug is a good option.

In the same manner if you use Google Chrome and if you press F12 in

your keyboard or if you right click on the web page and then you just click on that view

element or inspect element then you may see that dialogue box is open out

there in the side of your web page, in the right side of your webpage practically, you

may trace any kind of coding or you may trace any kind of class name out of

a bunch of a coding whatever it is, easy to do after that.

Special Syntax required for coding.

The first thing that we can see over here is meta name viewport content width initial

scale that you are not acquainted with in previous cases because we haven't

used any such thing previously as we had no intention to turn off site into mobile responsive,

we were just practically viewing aspects of HTML and CSS and we never

thought of making our site mobile responsive.

So this is what we have to include into our HTML head tag that means the browser will

now render the width of the page as the width of its own screen.

So whatever you now use a small mobile phone, or a medium-sized iPhone or iPad or a standard

desktop application, whatever it is, it is just rendering the width of the page

as the width of its own screen, and all this is happening due to this particular syntax.

So this is the obvious thing that we are going to include it into our webpage,

into the HTML head tag...

The second thing is also very obvious.

It is known as the @ media query.

It is very useful thing on this thing actually is used in case

of .CSS files, when you will be customizing style sheet you will be seeing that this @ media

query comes into action in every cases, cause in each and every cases

where you are just shifting your device width, you are just assigning some particular device

width into your website, some particular instructions, some particular commands

you wish to have in there, some particular changes in font size or change in margin padding,

or line height, this sort of things - then in this particular cases

this Syntax is very useful, mentioning this @ media query.

The obvious thing another one is declaring your webpage as an HTML5 page, because mobile

responsiveness is compatible to hTML5 only.

Whatever you use, do not forget ever, to declare your HTML page as an HTML5

one, as mobile responsiveness is always compatible to hTML5 environment only.

And the last thing is the framework itself.

Now fortunately bootstrap is an open source code and it is why it is OK to use in your

project and that is what we are going to learn in this particular mobile responsiveness.

This thing can be downloaded from the site, the site link is provided here,

we will be providing this link into the description box below,you may go through it.

So let's do not waste anymore time over here, we got the primary ideas we are

about to learn over here, such that the tools needed, the commands needed, the types of

creating the mobile friendly website.

So all we need to do here is to get back to google.com, and here we will be typing as

Bootstrap...

We will be right clicking on it and open this link into

download bootstrap and currently this is the version, version 3.3.7.

So all we need to do we need to download this bootstrap, just click on it.

source option, and this is the download sass option.

All we need we need to click on this download bootstrap option.

So we have to click over here.

Now you can see that the bootstrap 3.3.7 is been downloaded into our machine.

Now we are opening it.

There goes the zip file, bootstrap 3.3.7, downloaded off the Internet.

So the code you have downloaded off the Internet is in a Zip format.

Then all we need to do we need to just extract it,

the contents, and place it into proper places.

THERE WAS A GAY PRIDE MARCH THAT TOOK PLACE IN CHICAGO, AND

EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A LARGER, MORE INCLUSIVE GAY-RIGHTS MARCH,

THERE WAS ALSO AN ADDITIONAL MARCH KNOWN AS THE DYKE MARCH.

THAT IS WHAT THEY TITLED IT, AND INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, EVEN

THOUGH THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT INCLUSION, TOLERANCE,

AND ACCEPTANCE, IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE OPPOSITE FOR A

CERTAIN GROUP OF PEOPLE.

APPARENTLY THERE WERE SOME PROTESTERS WHO WERE JEWISH.

THEY IDENTIFIED AS GAY AND THEY WANTED TO NOT ONLY

REPRESENT THEIR PRIDE FOR BEING GAY, BUT THEY ALSO WANTED

TO REPRESENT THEIR PRIDE FOR BEING JEWISH SO THEY HAD

THESE RAINBOW FLAGS THAT ALSO INCLUDED THE STAR OF DAVID.

APPARENTLY SOME PEOPLE WERE TRIGGERED BY THAT, AND

DECIDED TO KICK THESE INDIVIDUALS OUT OF THE MARCH.

THE JEWISH STAR OF DAVID FLAG WAS BANNED FROM THE CITY'S

ANNUAL DYKE MARCH CELEBRATIONS, AND SEVERAL PEOPLE CARRYING

THE FLAG WERE REMOVED FROM THE MARCH BECAUSE THEIR

PRESENCE MADE PEOPLE FEEL UNSAFE.

NONSENSE.

TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.

WHAT?

THE DYKE MARCH IS DESCRIBED BY ORGANIZERS AS BEING A MORE

INCLUSIVE, MORE SOCIAL JUSTICE ORIENTED MARCH THAN THE

CITY'S MAIN PRIDE PARADE.

NO, BUT IT'S NOT THAT IT ACTUALLY ENDED UP BEING UP

THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ISRAELI PALESTINIAN

ISRAEL OR SPECIFICALLY THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT.

IS SYMBOLIZES JEWISH RELIGION.

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?

I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT POLITICAL IDEOLOGY I FALL IN, BUT

THIS IS NOT IT.

THIS IS INSANE.

BY THE WAY, AND WHAT YOU GUYS TO BE CLEAR.

WE'RE NOT USING THE WORD TRIGGERED, APPARENTLY THEY DID.

ONE OF THE MARCHERS THAT WAS KICKED OUT SAID THEY WERE

TELLING ME TO LEAVE BECAUSE MY FIGHT WAS A TRIGGER TO PEOPLE

THAT THEY FOUND OFFENSIVE.

PRIOR TO THIS MARCH I'D NEVER BEEN HARASSED OR ASKED TO

LEAVE WHEN I CARRIED IT WITH ME.

SHE HAD BEEN GOING FOR OVER A DECADE TO THE MARCH.

IS NOT A TRICK, SHE IS NOT TRYING TO INFILTRATE THE

DYKE MARCH TO PUT AN ISRAELI FLAG IN THERE AND GO GOT YOU.

SHE'S JUST A JEWISH LESBIAN WHO WANTED TO TAKE PRIDE IN HER

IDENTITY, IN BOTH WAYS.

THE WHOLE THING IS ABOUT PRIDE.

YOU CAN'T SAY OKAY, YOU ARE PROUD OF ONE PART OF THE

IDENTITY, BUT THE OTHER PART OF YOUR IDENTITY TRIGGERS US.

DEMOCRACY, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A TWO STATE SOLUTION.

I AGREE WITH THAT GOAL OF ENDING THE OCCUPATION, BUT EVEN IF

IT WASN'T JUST, OF COURSE AND IS 1000% RIGHT AND THAT SHOULD

BE A CONVERSATION AND ARE BUT THE STAR OF DAVID IS ALSO

ABOUT BEING JEWISH AND NOT BEING ISRAELI.

THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT ANY OF THESE PEOPLE ARE ISRAELI OR

After my first two videos I noticed in the comments that most of you guys can't relate to my "unique" experiences.

I guess not everyone is a killjoy and no one probably freestyle dance when they were in Kindergarten

So I want to do something that's #relatable for you guys

someone recommended to do a video on Procrastination

and when I heard it, I was all like

"Daaaang. Why didn't I think of that"

Wait...

Seriously, why hadn't I thought of that?

The only thing I've been doing since summer started was procrastinating.

There's definitely something wrong with my brain here

So kudos to you, Devy, for giving me a good topic to talk about.

You're the real MVP

I can understand why procrastination is so common

I guess a lot of people just like to do things they want instead of things they need to do

I mean, even my Script Editor even procrastinated while fixing the script for this video.

Looking at YOU, WJ!

It doesn't matter whether you're doing your homework editing a video or making a report

Procrastination will always find a way to seduce you.

Now I know some of you in the comments will probably be all like

Larry, it's not that hard to stop procrastinating. You just have to focus on the task at hand you idiot

Let me explain,

After I uploaded my first video.

I was feeling extremely motivated to get another video out.

For once in my life I actually felt full of energy to do something.

so I started making it.

The only problem was, I thought I knew what I needed to do already

and that gave me an overwhelming amount of confidence,

TOO MUCH, IN FACT

Now, procrastination and overconfidence go hand in hand

like bleach and ammonia

LETHAL

What do I mean by that?

Well, I'll tell you

Since I don't really have a deadline for making my videos, I thought to myself

"I don't have to make the script NOW"

"I already know what I have to say, nothing to worry about."

I ended up finishing it after a WEEK AND A HALF!

Ugh! So what? That's only like – a week and three days. What's wrong with that?

Here's the thing though

I made my first video in a week.

That's writing the script

Sending it over to my editor

Recording the Lines

Drawing the Frames

and editing them

All within the span of

7 DAYS!!

So it took me a month to finish something that I could've done IN A WEEK

See the problem now?

The end result felt rushed and I wasn't too happy with the video.

I expected it to be something else

I expected it to be something MORE…

than this

Seriously though, just imagine a world where people don't procrastinate.

Our society could've been so much more advanced by now.

No delays. No distractions

it just sounds amazing,

Yet, it also sounds incredibly boring

Now don't get me wrong

procrastination has led me to doing things that I regret most of the time

but there are other times when it can also help me.

Wait, what?

Larry, you already got me, we can agree that procrastinating is a bad thing.

Why are you switching sides all of a sudden?!

Well, if it wasn't for procrastination, I wouldn't have learned how to think quickly.

Procrastination can be very effective if you have some sort of deadline.

Let me explain.

There was this one time at school when I had to write an essay about a story that we had to read in 2 days.

I'm going to go straight to the point here. I didn't do jack squat for those two days.

And after realizing what I did, I immediately tried to assess the problem.

How?

By procrastinating even more until I had only 2 hours left to the deadline

Stupid move, but hear me out

After repeatedly delaying myself while thinking about the project, I immediately panicked and started doing it

Like seriously, even my friend was scared when I jumped out of my chair

I read the entire story within five minutes then pulled out a pen and went for Alexander Hamilton in that crap

I was literally writing like I was running out of time, and I freaking finished it and passed it on time

And I got a C...

I could've done better

I could've been a B or...

B...

But hey, I'll take it

C's make degrees, am I right?

What I'm getting at here is that

even though procrastination may be an excuse for us to delay our tasks,

it can also help you out in some situations you can't normally do without a bit of pressure.

Heck, I wouldn't have finished that essay in those 2 days anyway

Because I'm not the type of person who can just sit down and read a book.

I'd rather stare at a wall than read a book,

I'm sorry for any bookworms out there

but I actually think the wall looks more interesting than a bunch of texts

In conclusion,

Procrastination can be either good or bad depending on how you use it

It can make you forget about what you're doing

But it can also give you that little push to finish the job

though, I do still recommend doing your work instead of waiting until the very last minute
