What's up, guys?
Pierce Simpson here for Complex News.
It's been exactly 20 years since Mike Tyson bit off a piece of Evander Holyfield's ear
during one of the craziest boxing matches of all time.
Since then, there have been numerous books and documentaries done on the now-infamous
"Bite Fight" that have covered just about every single aspect of the bout.
But there is still one big question that remains after all these years: What ever happened
to the piece of Holyfield's ear that Tyson bit off and spit on the ground?
Most people think Holyfield was able to have that piece of his ear reattached surgically
following the fight.
Tyson was disqualified shortly after he tried to bite Holyfield for a second time at the
end of the third round, which allowed for Holyfield to exit the MGM Grand Garden Arena
in Las Vegas a short time later so that he could pay a visit to the nearby Valley Hospital
Medical Center for treatment.
But according to several people who spoke with Complex about the anniversary of the
fight, there's more to the story than that.
Mitch Libonati, a member of the MGM Grand's boxing staff, was working the Tyson/Holyfield
fight that night.
It was his job to maintain the ring in between bouts and to wipe up any excess water and
blood.
But on that particular night, he would also end up being in charge of trying to locate
the piece of Holyfield's ear that Tyson bit off at the end of the fight.
Following Tyson's disqualification, mayhem broke out in the ring, but that didn't stop
Libonati from making his way into it to track down the piece of Holyfield's ear.
"I knew it was there.
And then we had the chaos and all the people fighting in the ring and I remember thinking,
'That thing ain't going to be there.
It's gone.'
But once I got into the ring after the melee, I was like, 'Holy crap, it's right there!'
It was right below my feet."
Libonati picked up the hunk of flesh and wrapped it inside a latex glove.
He put the glove in an ice bucket, brought it to Holyfield's dressing room, and passed
it off to someone on his team.
That person then brought the piece of Holyfield's ear to the hospital and passed it off to a
plastic surgeon named Dr. Julio Garcia, who had plenty of experience with stitching professional
boxers up after fights.
But that's where things got confusing.
Shortly after he was handed Holyfield's ear, Dr. Garcia went into another room to
change into his scrubs so that he could reattach the ear.
But when he returned, the piece of skin that he had been given was missing.
It's unclear if someone stole the skin or if it was accidentally thrown out.
But either way, Dr. Garcia told Complex he was forced to move on to Plan B.
"I had the small piece of skin in the bucket, but when I went to change into my scrubs and
came back, it had vanished.
Just disappeared.
I never did find out what happened to it.
So I just took a little flap of skin from the back of his ear and folded it over to
close the wound."
Dr. Garcia told Complex that even if he did have the skin, it probably wouldn't have
made much of a difference.
It likely would have been impossible for him to reattach Holyfield's ear at that point
anyway because there was also a key piece of cartilage missing from the ear.
"The bite went through and through, and when it ripped off his ear, the skin that
encased the cartilage totally separated from the cartilage.
It was like they had peeled a banana.
And without that piece of cartilage, there really wasn't much I could do."
The cartilage was found later in the ring back at the MGM Grand.
But it had been trampled on by all of the people who made their way into the ring after
the fight, so Dr. Garcia wasn't able to use it.
It's why Holyfield still has a portion of his ear missing.
Despite what happened between him and Tyson, Holyfield told Complex he has forgiven him
for what took place.
Tyson never gave him any sort of official apology, but Holyfield forgave him anyway
and even told us that, deep down, he understood why Tyson did what he did.
"The Bible says everybody got a bad spot.
And one of the biggest reasons why it was easy for me to forgive him is because I used
to bite my brothers all the time.
They were older and bigger than me and when they would put me in a headlock I would bite
them to get out."
Holyfield may have forgiven Tyson, but it's unlikely he'll ever forget what took place
20 years ago.
He's reminded of it every time he looks in the mirror.
And just like everyone else, he's left to wonder what in the world happened to his ear
after Tyson bit it off.
Unfortunately, it's a question that, at this point, is probably never going to be
answered.

The recent termination of former FBI Director James Comey shocked the world.
President Trump was put in a situation where he had to make a call for the greater good
of the country, and he did a fine job.
The Hatch Act is a bill that stops all FBI agents from being involved in partisan elections;
it doesn't matter if you are a Democrat or Republican.
According to Circa, it turns out acting FBI director Andrew McCabe is now under investigation
by the Office of U.S. Special Counsel.
In 2015 McCabe supported his wife Jill in her campaign to run for Virginia State Senate
as a Democrat, but that isn't even the worst part!
In short, footage came forward showing McCabe wearing a shirt supporting Jill.
There were also social media pictures that his wife posted showing Andrew with her.
He was holding a sign that read, "I am voting for Jill because she is the best wife ever."
This constitutes a conflict of interest.
Other photos showed McCabe's daughter campaigning with her mom while Andrew was in the background
voting for his wife.
We are not sure if this photo was taken intentionally or not, but it sure does add to the issue
ESPECIALLY considering Andrew had pictures with signs supporting his wife.
If you look at The Hatch Act, it states, specifically, that FBI employees should not engage with
or "in a political activity in concert with a political party, a candidate for partisan
political office, or a partisan political group."
Andrew McCabe broke the boundaries on this one.
If you want to be in charge of the most powerful criminal investigation unit in the country
you cannot have a political bias.
The bias can cause many problems, just look at Hillary Clinton and James Comey!
Comey was working with Clinton to make sure her investigation was downplayed and then
dropped.
If you think The Hatch Act is silly just remember when Comey came out and said Hillary was off
the hook — when we all know the truth.
One of the most disturbing parts of this story is the Tweet that @Wikileaks put up from The
Gateway Pundit suggesting that a LOT of money from Jill McCabe's campaign came from people
with close ties to The Clinton Foundation.
It makes you wonder how deep this rabbit hole goes.
Something certainly is not sitting well with us here, DOES McCabe have ties to bigwig Democrats?
The Democrats have proven time and time again they are corrupt.
Is it possible that Hillary Clinton was able to get to McCabe through his wife, Jill?
If so, do we have a much bigger problem on our hands than campaigning on social media?
It is great that we HAVE this information because it allows us to get insight into what
might be around the corner.
Everyone got caught with their pants down on the Comey debacle.
Let's do everything that we can to ensure that it doesn't happen AGAIN!

You meet someone for the first time and one of the first questions you get asked is �What
do you do?� You automatically assume the person wants to know how you earn your living.
You may mumble something like �Well, right now I�m paying my rent by being an Uber
driver but I�m working on a script that will be the next big hit at the Sundance Film
Festival!� Or maybe you say �I�m a teacher, but I�m burned out and exhausted.� Or
a wistful, �I�d love to be an artist, but don�t know if that�s a real job.�
So, you go to your weekly SoulCycle class, and you wonder when your real life will start.
Is it work or play that defines you? Do you feel like you have somehow missed what you�re
really supposed to be doing? Is this your destiny?
The anxiety over �what am I supposed to be doing?� can really mess you up. When
that alarm goes off in the morning and you reluctantly get yourself together to go to
work, are you wondering if this is all there is to life? Get up, go to work, maybe go out
for a few drinks after work, then head home to DoorDash that you eat while binging on
Netflix. Where is the passion for life? And how are you going to find the joy in simply

on the timeless quest for enlightenment, a traveler on the path to greater consciousness.
Your true work�whatever your job in the world�is really internal. You want to be
more aware of what you do, what you say, and even what you think. You want to be a moral
force in the world, starting with the world you currently interact with�your family,
your friends, your co-workers. You want to be known as a person of integrity, someone
who can be trusted, someone who can hold the center in times of crisis.
As you develop a meditation practice, as you attend online workshops and events that bring
you together with a teacher and a community of fellow seekers, as you read books on the
ageless wisdom of the sages, you are doing the most exciting work of all and preparing
for your true destiny: to be a light worker.
And the world desperately needs you! Especially in times like these that are fraught with
disharmony and division, your connection to spirit, your immersion in the peace and balance
brought about by spiritual practices, is vitally important.
As you proceed along the path, you may find that your work in the world will change. You
might want to be helping others more directly, for instance as a speaker, coach or leader,
like me. Or you may simply try to infuse your present work and home situation with more
awareness of what you can do that will be of benefit to others. For being a light worker
implies that you are committed to doing what you can to alleviate suffering and confusion�within
yourself as well as for others. It implies that you accept responsibility for your own
life and stop laying the blame outside yourself. It means you understand that you�yes, you�have
the power to change the direction the world is heading. And it means that you know how
to be kind.
There is one sure way to know that you are fulfilling your destiny: it feels right. The
outer work you do may shift or transform, but it is the inner work that propels your
satisfaction quotient. The next time someone asks �What do you do?� answer from the
place of who you are rather than how you earn a living. You could be a window washer at
a fast food restaurant, but what you are really doing is being a clear channel for letting
in more light. And that is destiny calling.

behalf of President Trump by the Russians even though there was never any proof and
now their investigation has only further proven their statements to be lies.
And now low and behold imagine who has just lost a verdict of actual voter fraud and election
interference.
The DNC.
Andrew J. Spieles a James Madison University student was paid to submit the names of dead
people onto the voter registration list.
Spieles was working for Harrisonburg Votes, a political organization affiliated with the
Democratic Party.
Spieles job at first was to register as many people as possible, a typical job for students
on campuses to get involved, and he worked directly with the Harrisonburg Democratic
Headquarters doing this in July 2016.
But it didn�t take long for this to change when in August 2016 Spieles was given the
job to combine his registration numbers with those of another person, �because their
respective territories overlapped.�
CBS 6 WTVR reports:
AFTER FILLING OUT A REGISTRATION FORM FOR A VOTER, SPIELES ENTERED THE INFORMATION INTO
A COMPUTER SYSTEM USED BY THE VIRGINIA DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO TRACK INFORMATION SUCH AS NAME, AGE,
ADDRESS AND POLITICAL AFFILIATION.
EVERY THURSDAY AN EMPLOYEE/VOLUNTEER HAND-DELIVERED THE PAPER COPIES OF THE REGISTRATION FORMS
TO THE REGISTRAR�S OFFICE IN HARRISONBURG.�
They used the combining of the registrations to slip in the names of dead people.
And the punishment for this atrocious crime?
100 days in prison.
The only way they got caught was someone working at the registrar�s office noticed a name
of someone deceased that she had known.
Unlike the Democrats whines about Russia, this is election fraud that is proven to have
happened.
This is the worst nightmare for the Democrats and the last thing they wanted to get out
after they have shown just how corrupt they are under Hillary Clinton.

do you do?� You automatically assume the person wants to know how you earn your living.
You may mumble something like �Well, right now I�m paying my rent by being an Uber
driver but I�m working on a script that will be the next big hit at the Sundance Film
Festival!� Or maybe you say �I�m a teacher, but I�m burned out and exhausted.� Or
a wistful, �I�d love to be an artist, but don�t know if that�s a real job.�
So, you go to your weekly SoulCycle class, and you wonder when your real life will start.
Is it work or play that defines you? Do you feel like you have somehow missed what you�re
really supposed to be doing? Is this your destiny?
The anxiety over �what am I supposed to be doing?� can really mess you up. When
that alarm goes off in the morning and you reluctantly get yourself together to go to
work, are you wondering if this is all there is to life? Get up, go to work, maybe go out
for a few drinks after work, then head home to DoorDash that you eat while binging on
Netflix. Where is the passion for life? And how are you going to find the joy in simply

disharmony and division, your connection to spirit, your immersion in the peace and balance
brought about by spiritual practices, is vitally important.
As you proceed along the path, you may find that your work in the world will change. You
might want to be helping others more directly, for instance as a speaker, coach or leader,
like me. Or you may simply try to infuse your present work and home situation with more
awareness of what you can do that will be of benefit to others. For being a light worker
implies that you are committed to doing what you can to alleviate suffering and confusion�within
yourself as well as for others. It implies that you accept responsibility for your own
life and stop laying the blame outside yourself. It means you understand that you�yes, you�have
the power to change the direction the world is heading. And it means that you know how
to be kind.
There is one sure way to know that you are fulfilling your destiny: it feels right. The
outer work you do may shift or transform, but it is the inner work that propels your
satisfaction quotient. The next time someone asks �What do you do?� answer from the
place of who you are rather than how you earn a living. You could be a window washer at
a fast food restaurant, but what you are really doing is being a clear channel for letting
in more light. And that is destiny calling.

This is a travel a Webster's Pages Traveler's Notebook
That I intended to make into a art, smash,
writing, thought,
journal
journal, and I managed to
put some you know
very nice notebooks in it. A couple of
paper clips of course. Paper clips of course.
Folders for pockets and holding all kinds of extra stuff. You know because this is totally full
Paper clip. Isn't that cute? I
had a subscription to the Lollipop Box and
always got something very adorable in that subscription. But in the year I've managed to do
I want to say four pages
yeah, so four pages of
journaling smash book style.
Oh that was, that doesn't even count because that's just the back of a sticker book, so.
And this is something I've never done before. I had never done any type of
journaling other than text- strictly writing, writing, writing, writing.
I've never tried to do any visual journaling, so I wanted to you know; do whatever...
do what I could and learn, get better and better as I go. So
yeah, those are the four pages I did. A
bumper sticker and the rest of this book is empty and a couple of more
paper clips from the Lollipop Box subscription. And yeah, one year four pages. That's you know.
That's week. That's weak sauce. Get that weak sauce out here! So I
wrote this list a year ago for ideas
that I wanted to attempt to journal at the time. I was I have a Chic Sparrow A5
That I really haven't used very often,
so I decided to
use that this TN instead because it's a little taller.
I don't know. What do I know? I just like spending money apparently and buying all kinds of things
I don't need. So for this project for this month, go big or go home
I'm going to try to fill up this book. It has a hundred and twenty-one
pages.
Let's see if I can...

I'll be able to
write in it, draw in it,
stick stuff in it. That's probably what I'm going to end up doing- just sticking all kinds of stuff in it.
I don't have much in the way of cuts, cutouts from magazines
so I may have to
bug some people that have subscriptions to things if I can have their own old copies or something.
I don't know. I'll figure it out. But I want to use this
journal to write in, to draw in. to paint in, to color in, to
stick stuff in. Whatever I end up doing.
I'm going to try out all of my inks and pens because the lord knows I've got enough of those.
Maybe actually use some of the stuff that I've spent a ton of money on.
So I'm hoping we can all get this going. I'm hoping we all have fun with this
