SINoALICE is a
Japanese mobile game developed by PokeLab, published by Square Enix and directed by Yoko
Taro who is best known for his work on the Nier and Drakengard series.
The game was released on the 6th of June for both iOS and android platforms.
SINoAlice takes place in a fictional world known as "the Library."
The story revolves around fictional characters wanting to ressurect their respective authors
in order to continue on their stories and recieve their desired endings.
However, in order to do so, the characters have to work together to fight off evil forces
that devour stories and gather something known as "inochi" or "life."
Even with the knowledge that they will eventually have to kill each other off in order to fullfill
their wish.
So far, nine characters have been revealed: Alice, Snow White, Red Riding Hood, Briar
Rose, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Gretel, Kaguya-Hime and The Little Mermaid.
Right after starting the game, you'll be greeted by two dolls named Gishin and Anki
that act as the guides for the game by explaning various mechanics and story elements.
Although their intentions are a bit unclear, they'll still pop up with various tips throughout
the tutorial phase of the game.
After a short scene of dialogue, you'll be asked to do a "gacha" pull or a "summoning."
In SINoALICE you'll recieve magic stones as you go along clearing missions and gaining
points during events and such.
These magic stones are the currency that are used for summoning.
Unlike many other games with similar "gacha" mechanics, you'll only recieve new weapons
through summoning and not new characters.
Although these weapons are what unlock different jobs for different characters, we'll talk
more about this later.
After your first free summoning, the game will download more data before asking you
to pick your starter character.
You're allowed to choose from either Alice, Snow White, Red Riding Hood or Pinocchio.
When you've confirmed your selection, you'll be brought to the game's homescreen.
From the homescreen, you'll be able to navigate with ease using the seven tabs at the bottom
of the screen.
The first tab says "ホーム" which you guessed it, means home.
As in this is your homescreen.
Here is where your current main girl will be displayed.
In my case here, it's Snow White.
There isn't much to do at this screen as it's purpose is mainly just to act like
a hub.
But you can read about news updates and upcoming events here, if you're able to read Japanese,
that is.
Here, you can also see your EXP bar and your AP bar as well as play a "cleaning" game
where you tap the enemies on-screen as fast as you can to clear as many enemies as you
can before the timer runs out to get more AP, which will let you play more of the main story mode.
The large button at the top allows you to join a guild, however, you must have beaten
a certain amount of main game stories in order to be allowed to join a guild.
The book and the two buttons in the right corner of the home screen stand for "stories,
campaign and missions."
Which leads us to the next tab.
The second tab says "モノガタリ" which means story.
This is where the game's main story unfolds.
Of course, if you don't speak Japanese it'll be hard to follow along with what it happening
but of course you'll be able to enjoy playing the actual game anyway.
By clearning the first chapter of each character's story, you'll unlock them and be able to
add them to your arsenal as you go.
The story has a simple turn-based rock-paper-scissor style of gameplay where red beats green, green
beats blue and blue beats red.
Your weapons are displayed at the bottom of the screen and depending on the element of
the enemy, you should choose what weapon to attack with carefully instead of just randomly
tapping on whatever.
As you fight, you'll be joined by other helpers that will fight by your side in order
to take down the threat.
You're also able to summon creatures known as ''nightmares'' to help you.
You're also able to send chat messages or emotes from the menu at the bottom of the
screen, as well as to use the ''auto'' feature which essentially just means that the game
will pretty much play itself.
The third tab says "装備" which means equipment.
Here is where you're able to change your characters weapons and equipment, as well
as choose which character you want to make your main character.
If you're not sure about what weapons are the best, there is a "recommended" option
which will do the selecting for you.
This setting may not be the *most* optimal for experienced players but it works just
fine.
In short, there isn't too much you need to tamper with in this menu unless you actually
know what you're doing.
If you look at the card of a weapon, you'll be able to see the cards rank, its targets,
the amount of SP it'll consume to use and what action it performs -- meaning that it
might be an attack card, a buff card, a healing card or a debuff card.
This is important to keep in mind when using it in battle.
The fourth tab says "強化・売却" which means enhancements and selling.
From this menu you're able to enhance your current equpiment, uncap it or evolve it.
You're also able to enhance and uncap jobs, which I'll be explaning in a bit.
As well as to sell off equipment you don't want or need.
Again, unless you're sure of what you're doing, there isn't much to tamper with in
this menu either.
The fifth tab says "ガチャ" which means gacha or summoning.
Here is where you'll be able to summon more weapons like you were prompted to do in the
beginning of the game.
Like I said earlier, summoning does not give you new characters but only new weapons which
will lead to you unlocking new jobs for your characters along the way.
Different weapons have different attributes but they also apply to different ''jobs''
or ''roles.''
In SINoALICE, there are multiple versions of the same character but with a different
"job'' to variate between the characters.
For example, there's Breaker Alice and there's Cleric Alice.
There's also Breaker Cinderella and Sorcerer Cinderella, and so on.
The different forms allow for different weapons, strenghts and attributes so make sure to keep
your characters varied to adapt to new and difficult areas!
Weapons and equipment in SINoALICE can have one of six possible ranks.
With C being the lowest rank and L being the highest.
There are two ways of summoning new weapons, one single pull for 30 magic stones and one 10-pull for 300 magic stones.
The single pull is of course cheaper but if you're able to save up your magic stones,
the 10-pull is guarateed to always give you at least one weapon that is ranked either
S or above.
The sixth tab says "メニュー" which means menu.
This tab has 14 options that are all rather straightforward.
The first one is news, which allows you to read about new and upcoming additions to the
game.
The second tab is shop, which allows you purchase in-game items using real money.
The bullentin board shows you pinned messages created by other players.
The medal exchange lets you buy in-game items with the medals that you've earned.
The items option shows you a list of items.
The friend tab shows you the people that you've added to your friend list, as well as letting
you add new friends or blacklist people.
The ranking option shows you a ranking list of players.
In the gallery you can read stories and look at various artwork.
Presents allows you to look at your presents.
Various information means various information, mainy links to social media accounts and such.
Data transfer is for the people that want to transfer their game data between devices.
There is a help option for the people that have questions about the game.
Second to last is your profile, give it a tap to look at it.
And lastly, the options tab where you can mess around with some in-game graphics and
audio.
And the seventh and final tab says "チャット" which means chat.
Here, you can chat with other players and discuss current events or anything else that's
on your mind, really.
As of now, the game is region locked and so far there hasn't been any mention of an English
release.
So if you want to play the game yourself there are some ways around getting the app onto
your device.
I'm not Japanese, nor do I live in Japan but I do have a Japanese app store account which
allows me to download Japanese apps onto my phone.
Depending on what kind of phone you have, getting the app can be a rather tedious process
but I'm very invested in the game so far and I will definitely keep on playing it!
So I can't recommend it enough!
I hope you enjoyed this video and found it helpful.
If you'd like to see more SINoALICE related content in the future make sure to let me
know in the comments so that I know if you guys would be interested in maybe seeing some
deep dives into the game's story and characters.
This is definitely a game that has managed to catch my interest so I would love to talk
more about the game if given the chance.
For now though, I'd just like to say, thank you so much for watching!

>> I ASK TO REVISE AND EXTEND MY REMARKS AND SPEAK FOR ONE
MINUTE. >> GENTLEMAN IS RECOGNIZED.
>> MY COLLEAGUES, THERE ARE VERY STRONG EMOTIONS THROUGHOUT THIS
HOUSE TODAY. WE ARE ALL HORRIFIED BY THIS
DREADFUL ATTACK ON OUR FRIENDS AND ON OUR COLLEAGUES AND THOSE
WHO SERVE AND PROTECT THIS CAPITAL.
WE ARE ALL PRAYING FOR THOSE WHO WERE ATTACKED AND FOR THEIR
FAMILIES. STEVE SCALISE, ZACHARY BARTH,
MATT MIKA, SPECIAL AGENT DAVID BAILEY, SPECIAL AGENT CRYSTAL
GRINER, WE ARE ALL GIVING OUR THOUGHTS TO THOSE CURRENTLY
BEING TREATED FOR THEIR INJURIES AT THIS MOMENT.
AND WE ARE UNITED. WE ARE UNITED IN OUR SHOCK, WE
ARE UNITED IN OUR ANGUISH, AN ATTACK ON ONE OF US IS AN ATTACK
ON ALL OF US. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]
[ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]
>> I KNOW WE WANT TO GIVE OUR THANKS TO THE FIRST RESPONDERS
AND THE ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT WHO WERE ON THE SCENE
IN MINUTES AND I KNOW THIS HOUSE WANTS TO STATE UNEQUIVOCALLY
THAT WE ARE, AS EVER, AWED BY THE TREMENDOUS BRAVERY OF THE
CAPITOL POLICE. [ CHEERS AND APPLAUSE ]
>> I SPOKE WITH SPECIAL AGENT BAILEY AND SPECIAL AGENT GRINER
THIS MORNING. ONE WAS BEING TREATED AND ONE
WAS ABOUT TO GO INTO SURGERY. I EXPRESSED OUR PROFOUND
GRATITUDE TO THEM. IT IS CLEAR TO ME BASED ON
VARIOUS EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS THAT WITHOUT THESE TWO HEROES AGENT
BAILEY AND AGENT GRINER, MANY LIVES WOULD HAVE BEEN LOST.
[ APPLAUSE ] I KNOW WE ALL WANT TO LEARN AS
MUCH AS WE CAN ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.
WE JUST RECEIVED A BRIEFING FROM THE SERGEANT AT ARMS.
I HAVE COMPLETE CONFIDENCE IN THE INVESTIGATION THAT'S BEING
CONDUCTED BY THE CAPITOL POLICE, THE FBI WHO ARE ALSO WORKING
WITH LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. I KNOW WE WANT TO EXTEND OUR
GRATITUDE FOR THE OUTPOURING OF SUPPORT THAT WE'VE RECEIVED FROM
THROUGHOUT THE CAPITOL AND FROM THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.
AND NOW, KNOWING STEVE SCALISE AS WE ALL DO, HE IS LIKELY
REALLY FRUSTRATED THAT HE'S NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO PLAY IN THE
BASEBALL GAME. [ LAUGHTER ]
I ALSO KNOW STEVE WANTS ALL OF US TO COMMEND THE BRAVERY OF
THOSE WHO CAME TO THE AID OF THE WOUNDED.
IN THE COMING DAYS WE WILL HEAR THEIR STORIES AND WE WILL HAVE
THE CHANCE TO HOLD UP THEIR HEROISM.
MY COLLEAGUES, THERE ARE SO MANY MEMORIES FROM THIS DAY THAT WE
WILL WANT TO FORGET AND THERE'S SO MANY IMAGES THAT WE WILL NOT
WANT TO SEE AGAIN. BUT THERE IS ONE IMAGE IN
PARTICULAR THAT THIS HOUSE SHOULD KEEP, AND THIS IS A PHOTO
I SAW THIS MORNING OF OUR DEMOCRATIC COLLEAGUES GATHERED
IN PRAYER THIS MORNING AFTER HEARING THE NEWS.
YOU KNOW, EVERYDAY WE COME HERE TO TEST AND TO CHALLENGE EACH
OTHER. WE FEEL SO DEEPLY ABOUT THE
THINGS THAT WE FIGHT FOR AND THE THINGS THAT WE BELIEVE IN.
AT TIMES OUR EMOTIONS CAN CLEARLY GET THE BEST OF US.
WE'RE ALL IMPERFECT. BUT WE DO NOT SHED OUR HUMANITY
WHEN WE ENTER THIS CHAMBER. FOR ALL THE NOISE AND ALL THE
FURY, WE ARE ONE FAMILY. THESE WERE OUR BROTHERS AND
SISTERS IN THE LINE OF FIRE. THESE WERE OUR BROTHERS AND
SISTERS WHO RAN INTO DANGER AND SAVED COUNTLESS LIVES.
SO BEFORE THIS HOUSE RETURNS TO ITS BUSINESS, LET'S JUST SLOW
DOWN AND REFLECT, TO THINK ABOUT HOW WE'RE ALL BEING TESTED RIGHT
NOW. BECAUSE WE ARE BEING TESTED
RIGHT NOW. I ASK EACH OF YOU TO JOIN ME TO
RESOLVE TO COME TOGETHER, TO LIFT EACH OTHER UP AND TO SHOW
THE COUNTRY, TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT WE ARE ONE HOUSE, THE
PEOPLE'S HOUSE, UNITED IN OUR HUMANITY.
IT IS THAT HUMANITY WHICH WILL WIN THE DAY AND IT ALWAYS WILL

Black Panther Teaser Trailer- Full Review - Duration: 4:46.
The first teaser trailer of Black Panther has just arrived.
And definitely caught an eye.
The trailer aired during the NBA finals game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden
State Warriors.
The director of the movie is Ryan Coogler who has previously directed Creed.
We all know that Chadwick Boseman is T'Challa – aka the Black Panther, the would-be ruler
of Wakanda.
The king superhero of Marvel Cinematic Universe.
At first we see Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman talking that looks like an interrogation.
Andy Serkis claims the golden city El Dorado is not in South America but in Africa.
And it is Wakanda.
The drama thickens when Serkis further claims that he is the only one who has seen it and
came out alive.
Now you have to really like how Black Panther starts the action proceedings with throwing
a bad guy on a car door from distance.
It establishes the kind of power and skills he possesses immediately.
Another goon shoots machine gun at him but he just walks and throws him away with a martial
art hand swing.
He does not care if you are shooting at him or whatever, you might remember that the Black
Panther suit can absorb almost anything.
At least, any kind of gun shots.
The scene is so cool.
It immediately establishes him as a real badass fighter slash king.
Andy Serkis has been a good cast.
He shall be a good comedy tool while being a worth a watch bad guy.
Finally, it is revealed that Black Panther was watching the conversation behind a glass
blind all along.
We are taken into sci-fi level skylines of Wakanda in the next shot and the mix of ultra
tech with African cultures is refreshing to the eyes.
We see Forrest Whittaker, many characters from the diverse African cast in unique get
ups and make ups, and the leads in the next few seconds.
While the voiceover goes on to announce that "soon there will only the conquerors and
the conquered", as armed groups attempt an invasion.
The background music pieces in this clip are great.
Black and African music have an established stardom and that sound of dominance is captured
in the background score.
We love it.
It goes so well with the mood of the movie.
Black Panther is not just a super hero, he is the black super hero with incredible power
and knowledge and he is a dominant character.
That persona was so needed to be complimented in the sounds of the movie.
A poster was released just to tease the audience hours before the release of the teaser trailer.
Boseman sat on the throne in Black Panther suit and that sets the mood for the movie.
This is going to be a very serious high voltage movie by Marvel.
This movie shall not stay inside the perimeters of comic books; rather this shall deal with
the conflicts and politics of real world.
A press released revealed a little of the plot that says the lead character is "drawn
into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk".
Black Panther made his debut in Captain America: Civil War but this film shall not hit the
theatres before February 2018.
The talked about line of the trailer is uttered right after while a lot of African and fictional
cultures are showcased - you are a good man with a good heart but it's hard being a
good man when you are a king.
It is so appropriate for the movie because after the death of his father, Black Panther
is not immediately handed the throne over.
He went through a lot of conflicts from different tribes and believers from their own region
and at the same time he was fighting people who were trying to steal the Vibranium.
There is also the obvious superhero plot twist of people trying to destroy the whole planet
and he has to save it.
Wakanda is realy really advanced from the rest of the world but the place has been very
successfully hidden from us.
Now, it is about to get revealed.
Notably, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia and Letitia Wright as Shuri are seen in the trailer.
Forest Whitaker is under heavy make up in this movie, you almost cannot recognize him.
Shuri, as you might remember, becomes Black Panther herself in the comics.
Martin Freeman plays Everett K Ross in the movie who is the CIA bridge between Wakanda
and the peace protecting world.
Serkis plays Klaw in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
He was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Fantastic Four #53.
He stole vibranium from Wakanda, murdered T'Challa's father and that was how he
got his hand chopped off.
Hey check out how badass Danai Gurira as Okoye.
Okoye is a member of the Dora Milaje, the all-woman royal guard.
You have to also notice Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger in the trailer.
There is also Winston Duke as M'Baku.
In the comics, M'Baku was an Avengers villain.
He is known as Man-Ape, and was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema.
He is very fast and very strong.
He has tried to lead a number of coup against the Black Panther legacy.
The trailer is awesome.
Sad we have to wait till 2018 for the movie but the marketing of the movie is underway
in style.

Astrology Tool For Success: Hora Watch By AstroVed - Duration: 4:47.
Recently, I have established R&D division research and development division for
AstroVed, which is my astrology company. I
appointed a famous vedic scholar as the director of the institute. My intention
is to develop this R&D division into a university for astrology.
Although the University Grants Commission, the Supreme Court of India
and the Parliament of India -- they all agreed on the fact that it's. Vedic
Astrology is a science, not much has been done for well over 10 years to develop this
science. So what is astrology going to do? Astrology is the science of Time. And
everybody wants to know what's going to happen to them on a daily basis. And the
planets are basically the energy behind the happenings on a person's life or
also on the life of even a city or a country. So, this is a very involved science and
you have to have some basic understanding about it. I think the best
way to do is to follow an app that AstroVed developed a long time ago. It's an app
called Hora Watch. Every hour, the energy changes.
And you have to know what that energy has in store for you. And once
you know that, then you can plan accordingly and utilize that particular
hour. And I want to develop a research around it. I want to know how many of you
are interested in becoming part of that research program. And it involves
monitoring your own, your own timings. You know, whether Venus is going to do
good for you, or Saturn is going to do good for you. All these can be tracked
down. It's unfortunate [that] for a long time, this astrology has been considered as
superstition. It still is superstition, according to the scientists. But it is
not right to condemn something without doing proper research. And I want to
encourage you to at least use the app. And then you have to know what hour is
going to bring you good luck or whatever is going to be challenging. All this, you
can track down. Additionally, I've asked Paru, who studied astrology with AstroVed, to do
prediction of what happens on a daily basis, energy wise. So, that's very
important for you to know the position of the Moon, the position of the Stars.
And I strongly recommend [you] use that as a tool to guide your life.
God Bless.

a Latin-inspired chimichurri sauce for my chicken.
And then I'm going to fry it up. - All right.
I love it.
What do you think about this idea of this grocery bag?
Well, we didn't have a lot of money growing up.
So my mom would try to make whatever she could using
the ingredients that she had.
And so, it's going to be an ode to my mother.
Outstanding. Keep your eye on the prize.
Absolutely. Thank you guys so much.
Good luck.
Thank you.
Right.
Mark, tell me about the dish.
What are you doing?
So I'm a powerhouse guy, so I need
to start with a good breakfast in the morning.
So it's going to be--
Breakfast.
--pancakes, eggs, bacon.
I'm going to do a caramel sauce.
Then I'm going to do a potato latke.
Right.
Do you not get intimidated with all

I feel incredibly ready to win this whole thing.
The whole competition, Mark?
I didn't come here to lose.
Make this breakfast a breakfast to remember.
I will, sir.
Good luck.

Sundance Directors Lab 2016: Sandhya Suri Incorporates Doc Techniques Into Narrative Filmmaking - Duration: 2:11.
I wanted to make a fiction for this
subject. I wanted to talk about violence and violence against women in India,
violence of women, how that gets absorbed, processed, what comes out...my name is
Sandhya Suri and my project is "Santosh." It's about a lower-middle-class woman in
northern India. This woman goes from being a wife to a widow to a police woman and
she gets thrown into the heart of a very violent sex crime investigation. This is the first time
I've ever been on a set here, so that was quite hilarious. A lot of people
said well you know, you're a documentary maker so you just have to get in the
middle of the action when you're watching the blocking and think about
the camera as writing a sentence. She walks up to the door, inside she peeks around,
there are five men. I was quite adamant that I didn't want
to do documentary style camera because that's what everybody thinks I should do and
actually it's not the only type of films I like, and so I did a lot of stuff on
sticks...then when we went handheld, I just thought, "Oh great, I feel some
energy, I feel a person, I feel a presence. There are so many different ways to do
handheld, it can just be the life of a person behind the camera that makes a
big difference. It's a film about her, the camera should reflect that, should be a
subjective camera to exercise mood, seeing what she's seeing. If the
composition of too lovely, it stands out in a way I don't like so I had a scene,
the police station, with one guy was here and another was...there watching it I just I
just thought I should have dirtied that up.
It's too perfect, everybody's lined up so, so brilliantly...you've got to muddy
that otherwise I don't I don't believe it when I see it. I really want to open
up the space to ask questions, to understand the moral complexity of the
world of the film. Every time in the film you think you've understood the moral, it
becomes murkier and murkier. You use the energy to go and make something
because it's the only the only way you learn about filmmaking is making films.

True Fasting in God's Eyes - Duration: 19:55.
Hi, I'm Jim.
And welcome to ThrivingBranch.
Simply mention the word "fasting" and most people will conjure up images of giving
up food, depriving oneself of something vital, or otherwise sacrificing something.
The word "fasting" in secular usage has only the meaning of abstaining from food or
drink, and that is what most Christians understand it to mean as well.
Furthermore, I have encountered many people that fast as a religious observance, because
they are trying to "get God's attention" – although not everyone will readily admit
that.
In our discussions, when I have asked these people why they were fasting, it has always
boiled down to the core of either wanting an answer to prayer or wanting to be closer
to God or wanting to be more holy or more righteous – and while these may seem like
good reasons, I have had to tell them the honest truth, that nothing they could ever
do, will ever make them closer to God than what Jesus did over 2,000 years ago on the
cross.
No sacrifice that we can make today, can ever make us closer to God than the one offered
by His Son all those years ago.
And most of these people were offended at that statement.
What I want to share with you today, is the portrait of true fasting.
Not what man thinks fasting is, but instead what God says fasting is, and the type of
fasting that He actually wants.
And I believe that by the end of our study today, many chains will be broken, and many
burdens will be lifted, because it is the truth of Jesus Christ that makes us free,
and that includes His truth regarding fasting as well.
First, the foundation, which must always be Jesus Christ and His finished work on the
cross.
As I said, I have discussed fasting with a number of people, all of whom were fasting
either to get God's attention, or to become closer to Him, or to become more righteous
or more holy.
They think that fasting somehow increases their holiness, or their righteousness, or
that it makes them more acceptable to Him.
And it is absolutely vital that we understand these ideas to be erroneous.
Fasting (or really any work or sacrifice) can never make us more righteous, or more
holy, or more acceptable, or even closer to God in any way.
That statement is absolutely crushing to the pride of man, but the reasons why are completely
foundational to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
His sacrifice has already made you as close to God as you ever could be.
In-fact you are one with Christ according to 1st Corinthians 6:17 and John 17:22-23.
Secondly, no amount of fasting (or any work or sacrifice) can ever make you more righteous
or holy than the sacrifice of Jesus Himself.
Jesus is your righteousness, and your sanctification (your holiness) according to 1st Corinthians
1:30.
Also Hebrews 10:10 says that we are sanctified (made holy) by the offering of the body of
Jesus Christ once.
This sanctification is not a process, nor is it something that you need to maintain
through works or efforts or sacrifices of yourself.
This sanctification was obtained through the offering of Jesus Christ on the cross, and
it was done once for all.
So you are holy because of Him, not because of any works of yourself.
Likewise you are righteous because of His sacrifice for you as well.
2nd Corinthians 5:21 says very plainly that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Now this is the very righteousness of God, this is not of yourself, this is of God and
it comes from being in Christ… not from your works, not from your sacrifices or your fasting.
Third, no amount of fasting (or any work or sacrifice) can ever make you more acceptable
to God than what Jesus has already done.
Ephesians 1:6 states that you are accepted in the Beloved.
Your acceptance with God rests solely on the fact that you are in Christ.
You can't work for it, you can't earn it, you can't sacrifice to get it, or add to it
in any way.
These are the basic three foundational pillars if-you-will, of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
so if you have any issues with these, then I would humbly submit that your issue really
isn't with fasting, but your issue is with the Gospel itself, because all that I did
so far was read some basic facts directly from the Bible, regarding how it is not about
your work, or your merit, or your sacrificing, or even your fasting, but it is all about
Jesus Christ alone.
If you don't believe that… then you don't really believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
So with that said, now let's examine fasting itself.
And again there's no better place to start than with Jesus Himself.
In Matthew chapter 4, it is mentioned that Jesus fasts for forty days and forty nights.
Now this is believed to be a full fast; abstinence from all forms of food because verse 2 mentions
that afterwards Jesus was hungry.
Now here is the point: this fast was never meant as an example for us to follow.
This fast actually had a very clear and specific purpose, which is mentioned in verse 1, so
let's read it together, Matthew 4:1, says:
"Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."
This was the specific purpose of Jesus' excursion into the wilderness and of His forty
day and night fast as well.
This was not meant as an example or a guide for us to follow, but as a temptation and
a test of the devil, which was ultimately turned into an establishment of Jesus' perfect
divinity!
But as always, you do not need to take my word for it, the scriptures themselves testify
to this fact.
In Matthew 9:14-15, some disciples of John ask why Jesus' disciples don't fast!
If Jesus' fasting was to be an example for living, then His disciples certainly would
be fasting already!
However Jesus' response in verse 15 was this:
"And Jesus said to them, Can the children of the bridal chamber mourn, as long as the
bridegroom is with them?
but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then they fast."
Jesus' response gives us some vital information here.
First that fasting is typically connected with mourning, grieving, sadness.
And indeed, we can see this thread all the way through the Old Covenant writings in general:
Daniel, 1st and 2nd Samuel, 1st Kings, Judges, Psalms, Nehemiah, Esther, all contain references
to fasting as a sign of sorrow and mourning and grieving – which is why Jesus made the
reference here.
And He says How can they mourn, when the bridegroom is with them?
It would be flat-out weird for a bride to mourn when her groom is with her.
Jesus then goes on to say that a time will come when the groom will be taken away and
then they will fast in mourning.
This happened when Jesus was crucified, but believe me, that mourning did not last for
very long!
For now as we have already read today, we are one with Christ, forever!
Jesus even says Himself in Matthew 28:20 that He is always with us.
This is not a time of mourning or sorrow, but a time of rejoicing!
Jesus is alive!
And He is with us forever!
That's not a reason to be sad!
That's not a reason to mourn, that's a reason to rejoice and be filled with joy!
Jesus is always with you!
He will never leave you, He will never forsake you!
His Spirit is inside of you, indwelling you forever for all time!
So what then is true fasting in the light of Jesus Christ?
Well, it's a bit ironic, but the answer is actually found in the writings of the Old
Covenant, because it is there where God gives His description of what proper fasting is.
Where most people get tripped-up is that they read the Old Covenant writings still under
the veil of Moses (as mentioned in 2nd Corinthians 3:15).
However when read in the light of Jesus, it makes perfect sense.
And those of you who know me, know that I love to say that the entire Bible is about
Jesus, and He can be seen in every area of scripture.
So turn with me to Isaiah 58:5-7, and here we find what God has to say about fasting.
Isaiah 58:5-7.
Ready?
One.
Two.
Let's read together...
Read:
"Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to
bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? will you call
this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of the wickedness, to undo
the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast
out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide
yourself from your own flesh?"
Now these are the words of God, and in verse 5, God asks a pointed question: Did I choose
this type of fast?
Did I choose a day for a man to afflict his soul?
Did I choose for a man to bow his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes?
Will you really call this acceptable?
The fact that God Himself is saying this and asking this question, should make all of us
take a long and honest look at our modern practice of fasting.
Because if God isn't happy with it, and He doesn't want it, why would we hang onto it?
In verses 6 and 7, God outlines the type of fast that He actually wants, and honestly,
it looks nothing like what we typically call a "fast" today.
To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free.
To break every yoke of bondage.
To share your bread with the hungry, and to bring the poor to your house.
To clothe the naked and do not separate yourself from your fellow man.
You see, God never desired a fast that "afflicts men's souls".
He never desired a fast to be a time of mourning, but instead as He points out in verses 6 and
7, true fasting is a time of generosity, a time that breaks bondages and chains (and
doesn't add man-made ones) a time not to abstain from food, but to instead, share your
abundance with the hungry and needy.
This is 180 degrees from what churches do today and the way that people fast.
I don't think that anyone would even mind fasting in the slightest, if it was what God
outlined in these verses.
And I'll take it one step further and say that this fast which God outlined here, is
quite natural and even effortless for every single person who is in Christ.
Because honestly, Christ has indeed broken every yoke and chain and set the captives
free according to Luke 4:18.
My friend, I want to encourage you today, that as you receive this truth about fasting
straight from God's own mouth, you will most likely come (as I have) to realize that
you have been fasting already, truly (the way God wants) without even realizing it.
Even spiritually, every time you share Christ with someone, you are most certainly setting
captives free, breaking bondages, and undoing chains.
And that there is no reason to ever mourn, because Jesus is always with you!
The bridegroom can never be taken away.
Our fast in Christ Jesus today, is not one of abstaining and mourning, but actually feasting
every moment... feasting on His grace, feasting on His joy, feasting in Him.
The life of Grace in Christ is a continual feast and true fasting; not as they did under
Moses, but an outpouring of the love which we receive from God every single day.
So relax and feast in Jesus.
Feast on Him, feast on His grace, feast on the true Bread of Life.
And everything that we read in Isaiah about true fasting is your identity: to break bondages,
to break yokes in Christ, to set the captives free, to share your abundance, and the true
fasting will be natural, effortless and full of joy.
That is the fast that God desires.
One of truth, one of honesty, because you have no reason to mourn, because the bridegroom,
Jesus, is always with you.
Be blessed.

Sundance Directors Lab 2016: Annie Silverstein Puts Her Experiences Into Film - Duration: 2:08.
I wrote this story based on a kid I used to work with during my time as a
social worker. He was bouncing around between different family members' houses...
it was really clear that he was up against a lot. Sometimes people have a
profound impact on you and you go different paths and then it wasn't until
later that I was writing this story and I realized I want to stay with them.
I'm Annie Silverstein and I'm the director of "Bull." "Bull" is about a 14 year
old girl. Her mom's incarcerated for drug running,
she's growing up with her grandmother, and she's a really angry kid. She forms the
unlikely relationship with a neighbor who's an aging rodeo clown. I've always
been really interested in the decisions that young people are faced with...I think
that's where a lot of the story comes from of just people who have moved me and
who on some level I identify with, as I just connect with a human story, the human
condition in a way and that's all I really care about as an artist. I was a
documentary filmmaker first; that really influences the way I make fiction.
The characters that are in "Bull" are based on people that I've met and I
approach in a lot of the same way that I would approach documentary. When you're
working with actors oftentimes they have questions. "Why would I do this? What do I
want in this scene?" That's perfectly okay as a director to say, "I don't know the
answer to that yet." It allows you to remember yes, you are exploring this as a
process and you are finding the story in it. You're trusting the process then,
you're trusting that through the work and through the collaboration by the end
of the day you'll have landed upon something that is probably the best thing that
you could land upon, and it might be different than when you expected. I think
it's really important to get to know yourself and tell your own story and
tell stories that are really important to you, and I think that's just the most
important thing is to find that and trust it,
and stick with it.

Sundance Directors Lab 2016: César Cervantes Uses His Camera to Constrain - Duration: 1:46.
You learn to fall as a skater. You're gonna fall a hundred times before you get it the
one time, but when you get it the one time, it's definitely worth it.
My name is Cés, and my project is "Hot Clip." The film is about a young 20 year old
South East Los Angeles skateboarder who wants to finish his skate video after
the death of his best friend Miggie, who was unjustly killed by a police officer. The
court chooses not to indict the officer and there's this ticking time bomb that
feels like it's the community on the verge of exploding. A lot of the
experiences in the film relate to my life growing up as a Mexican-American
skateboarder in South East Los Angeles and there's a lot of it that's just
reflective of where I come from and and who I am and things I had to deal
with as a youth, so I just want to be truthful to that. My film, it deals a
lot with constraints and a lot of boundaries and trying to box people in...
it's shot in 4:3, it's locked-off, it takes place within 24 hours...it's a lot of just
containment because I feel like it's going to be like a pressure cooker where
they just want to burst out, and the skateboarding is going to be shot
handheld, so when that happens it's going to feel very freeing. I am really interested
in capturing the feelings of memories. Film can be very reflective and meditative
and I feel like a lot of filmmaking is just, you know, trying to get as true to
the emotions that you felt during a certain specific time and trying to
recapture that rework it in the new story. A lot of times, you know, to make
great art you really have to just dig deep into yourself and find those
painful moments because a lot of times they are very beautiful and they are
very personal, and that's what gives peoples' story that uniqueness, you know?
I'm constantly learning new techniques to get more into myself and more in
touch with like, deep emotions or really pull that and bring that to the stories that I tell.

Personal Reflections: Honoring President Bill Destler - Duration: 4:11.
>> Bill has taught me that you can be a leader

in both leadership and execution of a project.
>> You know, I think Bill's

and taken it to a completely different level,
and it's made it -- it's made a big difference, I think,
in both organizations.
>> Well, I think his focus on multidisciplinary work
and bringing left brain
and right brain together is the whole notion that we're trying
to realize in the Magic Center, which he helped start!
>> He was a great mentor to me personally and a friend,
over the time that we worked together
and actually making sure
that this dream is translated into reality.
>> Being able to say that we are committed
to the diversity initiatives that have been outlined
in our strategic plan, that is something
that is extremely important,
so I think that he has impacted us all in that way.
>> Bill, and his sign name is Bill Destler,
because of his collection of banjos.
I think that shows the deaf community's special affection
for Bill and Rebecca.
They've been both wonderfully supportive of NTID.
>> Bill really sets the tone and he lives it.
He's exemplary when it comes to focus on students.
We're a student-centric university,
and Bill has led the way on that day after day,
hour after hour, minute by minute.
>> He's displayed unwavering commitment
to academic excellence,
and industry-leading discovery, and innovation.
>> I think he's been a great friend to the university,
a great friend to the community, and somebody I'll be happy
to call a friend after he leaves.
I'm very happy to see that he
and his wife will be staying in this area.
They have certainly embraced it,
many people have embraced them, as well.
>> He's the best assistant coach I ever had.
[ Buzzer & Cheering ]
>> What he's done for me and for all of the alums and all
of the people of RIT is to enhance the value
of an RIT degree by raising the profile of the institution.
>> He has been approachable, he's been reachable,
he's been thoughtful, he's been strategic, and --
and really that actually impacted my thinking
in the way I deal with other people, the way I deal with --
with managing people as well.
>> I can't help but think of all the lives you've touched,
all the students you've encouraged,
all the colleagues you've inspired during your career
as an educator.
>> Just about 30 years ago, maybe a little less,
I was sitting in his class as a student, and I remembered then,
saying to myself that if I was to become a professor,
I wanted to be a professor like he was.
>> I believe that he's helped forge a greater partnership
with the town, and that has benefitted both the university
and the community.
>> We've had such intersectionality in terms
of our interest, from sustainability
to mentoring young people to anti-racism work
in the community, they both just have been immeasurably important
to me, to the Gandhi Institute, and to Rochester.
>> He's always encouraging us to think about the future.
To think about how we can bring everyone along with us,
in this community, to greater success.
>> And he was also about solving problems.
He was not just identifying the problem,
but he was about solving those problems for all of us.
>> He never seems to do anything for himself.
He tries to do things for the community,
for an industry, for our country.
Then he shows you how RIT can do that,
I think that's a masterful trait of Bill.

First, let's make the cookie dough.
Grind finelytogether the walnuts and the sugar.
Combine them with the soft butter an the flour.
Obtain a smooth dough.
Add one lime's grated zest.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge at least for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, let's make the ganache.
Heat the fresh cream up
Then pour it over the white chocolate and set aside for few minutes.
Combine the 2 ingredients together.
Add a bit more of lime zest to bring out the summer flavor and its freshness.
Let the ganache rest in the fridge as well for 30 minutes.
Roll the dough folding it between 2 baking papers.
It has to result with a thickness of 4 mm.
Let it cool in the fridge one more time.
Create some small rectangles.
Bake at 150° C for 25-30 minutes.
They must get a slightly golden-brown color.
Bake the cookies off and let them cool down completely.
It's time to spread the filling.
Using a sac à poche or even just a knife, spread the ganache on one cookie's side
and close it with another cookie, like a sandwich.
These cookies turned out super delicious!
And I can tell you before tasting them in front of the camera, 'cause
I've already got 2 of them while recording!
The texture is like the American cookies', so crunchy but also chewy.
And let me say that this white chocolate and lime ganache is stupidly good!
Perfect for a tea party, but also for breakfast or as a sweet treat!
Fantastic, truly fantastic!
I hope you liked this recipe, if so give me a THUMB UP!
Remember you can find the ingredients list in the description box.
See you with the next recipes!!! Ciao!

Costa Vida Restaurant Operations - Duration: 3:26.
My name is Bryan Collins.
I'm the owner operator of a Costa Vida franchise in Draper, Utah.
Everything that we do revolves around the food.
We start first with some paperwork in the morning, and before I get to the restaurant
I always am checking my numbers from the sales from the day before.
I'm also checking our production levels and how much food we're preparing.
We'll have a list of what we're supposed to prepare that day as we go into the restaurant
then I will start checking in the walk-in and making sure that I have all the food that
we need and assigning the prep that is necessary for that day.
Well, we do do everything from scratch on a daily basis, it's always a little bit different.
After that, we go to our people and we check the schedule and make sure that on the schedule,
people are assigned to positions and that they are coming in.
We always are striving to hire people who are professionals in their sphere, so if it's
a line worker, they're very, very friendly, they're very, very outgoing.
If it's somebody back in the kitchen, they're very attention to detail, making sure that
they follow the recipes the correct way.
After we get the food production underway, after we get the people assigned to their
positions they're supposed to be, then it's all about the guest experience.
The way that I like to think of it is as a franchise owner, as even I try to train my
general managers to do the same, that you're a director of a play; so when you come into
your restaurant, your line is your stage, your employees are your cast and everything
is about what ... From the freshness and everything that we create in the kitchen and bring that
experience into the dining room with our guests; and how that all kind of mingles together.
Everything that we can do to make the guest experience better is what we do.
Every single day, twice a day, we temp all the food to make sure that it's safe and up
to our standard; and then we taste each individual food item because the specs are so important.
Since we cook everything from scratch it can change in a whim, if somebody puts too much
salt in something or not enough pepper, or whatever it is, they can taste it and it would
be wrong.
So we taste that to ensure the quality in what our guests are getting is what we have
designed it to be.
Closing the restaurant is very similar to the opening, how we talked about the products
and the people and the guest experience.
You verify all of your products are made for that day. You make sure that it's getting ready
so the next morning somebody can make the prep list, like we spoke, the schedule, ensuring
that everybody is on the schedule for the next day.
We close up, clean the store ... we always have to be up-keeping it so the night is where
we spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure the restaurant is beautiful for the next
day.

Easy Rainbow Chocolate Brownies to Celebrate Pride Month - Duration: 1:23.
This chocolate brownie cloud topped with a chewy rainbow will definitely add a little
sunshine to your day.
Hi, I'm Theresa Chong and welcome to Chewable Structures.
Today, we're using Betty Crocker's brownie mix and this little cookie cutter in the shape
of a cloud.
It's super cute.
I'm going to put links to all the things we're using today in the description box
below.
So, let's start building.
When you bake the brownies, make sure to line your pan with parchment paper and spray it
with oil.
After it cools, use the cookie cutter to shape the cloud.
It should stand up like this.
I'm using a 9-inch by 13-inch pan.
This makes 8 cloud-shaped brownies.
To make the buttercream frosting, you'll need 1 cup of butter at room temperature.
Add 2 cups of icing sugar and after it's all mixed together, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
I'm using a toothpick to add a little bit of Wilton's sky blue icing gel, because
is really concentrated.
Mix it all together.
Then, add the frosting to an icing bag with a No. 129 flower-icing tip.
Now, cut the Airheads rainbow in half.
I'm dipping it in a little bit of the icing so that I can make an outline on the brownie.
Pipe the icing and add the rainbow.
Thanks for building with me today.
Remember to subscribe to my channel and check out these other videos of chewable structures
that you can make at home.
See you next week!

Vidcon Small Creator Tag 2017 - Duration: 9:04.
Hey, everyone! So it has been a minute, and I figured what better way to come back
than a tag video!
At least a video in which, you know, I talk at the camera 'cause
you just saw "Bold." Hopefully.
If everything goes as I plan for it to go.
So this is the VidCon small creator tag, and um as a small creator who's going to
VidCon, I figured this is perfect for me!
So I saw Kathy Trithardt's video, and it
was awesome and I figured I should do this too, even though I wasn't tagged,
'cause I never tagged in things... Okay Question One:
Introduce yourself! So hi, my name is Nirali, aka
firewordsparkler on the interwebs. I am 22 years old and um still in school but
very close to graduating. And I'm gonna be at VidCon, and I'm gonna be at the
Less Than Famous panel, which you already know because there's no reason for you
to click on this video if uh you weren't already subscribed to me. So yeah.
That was self-deprecating.
Question 2: Why are you going to VidCon? The Less Than Famous
panel, of course! I'm super excited to be on the Less Than Famous panel with so
many lovely people. And yeah, I auditioned I got on it and I was like Yes Yes Yes
I'm going yes yes. I don't care at that I have to miss class. I'm going. I'm going.
This is happening. uh yeah I'm super excited.
Question three - wow I'm
answering these questions before they're asked - What are you most excited for
about VidCon? um I am obviously most excited for the
Less Than Famous panel, and meeting my fellow panelists in real life for the
first time, but also meeting any of you who are going! I really want to hang out
with like Yolanda and Paul Roth and Kathy and everyone else who's
around. um There are so many people that I'm going to be meeting for the first
time because it's my first ever Vidcon and I am just beyond excited and if you
want to hit me up for a collab because I'm trying to plan collabs now, use this
email address and let me know let's do collabs let's collaborate even
though I use my cell phone as a camera. Small youtuber problems. Yeah, I'll also
have my GoPro it's fine. It's fine.
Number four what are you the least excited about at
VidCon? My homework. I still have homework to do at VidCon so I'll be
taking my laptop with me and if you see me on the side working on a paper don't
interrupt? Or maybe do interrupt because I might
need a break. But yeah, I have to do homework because I'm still in classes
but other than that I'm just - I - I get overwhelmed pretty easily, especially
since I'm gonna be going by myself and just meeting everyone there, so
hopefully I won't get too overwhelmed, fingers crossed, but I might uh and I may
need a couple minutes to myself but you know. That's - I feel like everyone feels a
little bit that way that's why we talk at a camera on the internet instead of
interacting like normal human beings, right?
What are you bringing to VidCon
parenthesis think unique things. um well I'll be bringing myself. If you didn't
know, Nirali means unique so automatically. (points to self) I'm still not sure yet
because I still haven't - I haven't started packing or anything but I'm
thinking of creating something because there's an Art Assignment Facebook group
that I'm a part of and some people are planning on meeting at VidCon and
bringing stuff that they've created, so I might bring a creation of some kind. And
I'm thinking if I have time again, I'm going to be making many motivational
posters to pass out, so let me know what your favorite quotes are in the
description so I can make many motivational posters and to motivate
people during VidCon yeah. There's still a little bit of time before VidCon. I have
time to do everything I want to do, right? I didn't over book myself?
um okay so Number Six: If VidCon would let you create a panel/event what
would it be and who would be a part of it? So I would want to make a panel about
literature in video, and book adaptations and such because there are so many
literary webseries out there as I hope you know if you're watching me. And at
Nerdcon: Nerdfighteria, Bernie Su did a great talk on kind of how the Lizzie
Bennet Diaries came to be, and the planning process that went behind that
and everything. So I would probably want like Bernie Su, Yolanda from the
Pemberley Podcast, and a bunch of other literary webseries people probably. I
can't think of any names off the top of my head but if I come up with anything
they will be right here. The list, hopefully. Can you read it? Okay, uh so
those are the people I would want to uh talk about literary webseries
stuff and not just literary webseries just like kind of literary adaptations
in general and like the difference between like why a webseries works so
well in certain cases and cases where it doesn't and cases where you need a
higher production value then you kind of have when you're working on a low-budget
webseries and stuff like that. Just like, things. Oh, I also want to make a literary
webseries *shh* but um I don't have the means right now, and the experience or any of
that so I really want to learn more about that whole thing. But yeah, that
would be..If there was a literary webseries panel sort of thing, that would
be super cool I would love that. um so hey Valerie Barr, if if you want to
make that a thing, let me know! I would totally moderate that! And, number seven:
what would my ideal day at VidCon look like? Me, attending everything I want to
attend while also meeting and spending quality time with everyone I want to
spend quality time with and also having time to eat and also
spending some time in the Sun instead of in that large air-conditioned convention
center. um yeah So, my ideal day would be getting everywhere I want to be in terms
of panels, meeting everyone I want to meet and actually hanging out with them,
eating, and Sun. yeah. I have a feeling I'm only going to be able to
pick two of those things out of those four, but let's see. We'll see, we'll see!
um yeah it's like that triangle of college students that's like "studying,
social life, and sleep: pick two" I feel like I'm gonna have to pick two and I'm not
willing to, 'cause I like promising myself that I'm gonna do everything I want to
even though I don't have the capacity to. But I do have the capacity to attend
VidCon, which I'm doing finally it's gonna be my first ever Vidcon, and I am
beyond excited and if you are there let me know, hit me up, email me, leave a
comment down below um and just tell me things about yourself, and if you want to
collab please let me know because I want to collab like crazy. Maybe not like
crazy, but like I want to collab a little bit, and I want to - want to make videos
people that I've been watching forever, and yeah, and also new people. I want to
meet new people. That's a thing I want to do, even though it kind of gives me
anxiety. I really want to meet new people.
Okay so, the final thing, of course, is to
tag my friends! So. I'm tagging everyone else on the Less Than Famous panel,
who will all be right here, listed right here.
So do it, you people.
uh thank you all so much for watching
um again let me know if you're going to VidCon, let me know if I'll see you there,
uh cuz I'm currently building up my agenda and things I want to do and the
places on ago I'm trying to schedule everything in. so yeah
um and I will see you guys next time with a new video. Bye!
Sidenote, look how awesome this green lipstick looks. Like why have I avoided wearing it
on camera before? Why? If you want to know why I watched my previous video, Bold!

4 Healthy Diet Foods That Can Increase Fat Storage (unless you follow these simple rules) - Duration: 5:42.
Hey, hey, everybody.
Shaun Hadsall here, the owner and founder of getleanin12.com.
And inside this short fat loss video,
I'm going to introduce you to four
wildly popular healthy foods that can increase fat storage.
And this is a common mistake.
Whenever I review a food journal of a local client
that I work with, they usually are abusing these four foods.
And as a result, it ends up taking your body out
of a calorie deficit.
So even though they're healthy, you
have to monitor your portion sizes
very carefully for a few reasons that I'm
going to share with you.
Now those four foods are-- the first one is nuts.
The second one is peanut butter.
The third one is cheese.
And the fourth one is the wildly popular yogurt.
So let's talk about why all four of these healthy diet foods
can potentially make you store more belly fat.
So the first thing that you need to understand
is that when you look at a label on nuts, peanut
butter, and cheese and you analyze the label--
most people think that these three foods are protein when
in reality, they're really friendly fats, because when you
look at the label, typically, on nuts and peanut butter,
you're going to see almost three times-- at least two to three
times as much fat grams as you are protein grams.
So although there's a small amount
of protein in nuts and peanut butter and even cheese,
it's mostly friendly fats.
It's the same thing with cheese.
When you look at the label of a cheese,
you're going to see the fat content is going to be more
than the protein content.
So not only that, especially in the nuts and peanut butter,
it's incomplete protein, because it doesn't contain all nine
essential amino acids.
Now that's not necessarily a bad thing.
But all the research and published science
behind protein intake is done on complete animal proteins, not
incomplete proteins.
So nuts, peanut butter, and cheeses
are mostly friendly fats and not protein.
And the reason why they can make you fatter
is because fats yield over double the calories
as carbs and protein.
So for every carb and protein gram
you eat, it only yields 4 calories per gram.
For every gram of fat you eat, it yields 9 calories per gram.
So it's very easy to abuse the portion
sizes of nuts and peanut butter and cheese
and take your body out of a calorie deficit.
So although these are healthy foods,
you want to monitor your portion sizes very carefully.
You want to use raw nuts and raw nut butters,
whether it's peanut butter or almond butter.
And you want to use raw, grass-fed cheese.
And you want to use small amounts--
so a handful of nuts, a tablespoon or two
of peanut butter, a small amount of cheese-- a
sprinkle, a couple ounces, not a lot.
So although these foods are very, very healthy for you,
you need to monitor your portion sizes very carefully.
Now yogurt brings the same problem, just
in a different way.
If you look at a tub-- a small tub, a single serving
size of one small tub of fat-free yogurt,
you're typically going to find about 42 grams of sugar.
If you divide 6 into 42, that equals 7.
That's 7 teaspoons of sugar dumped into that one
little tub of yogurt.
That's an insulin-spiking, fat-storing nightmare.
Now most people will go, that's OK, I buy sugar-free.
Well, it's going to be an OK diet food for you.
But sugar-free yogurt-- this typically
has artificial sweeteners, and it's loaded with chemicals.
Now here's the big myth about most over-the-counter yogurts--
most of them don't have the probiotics that you need,
because they are destroyed when the food is processed.
So that's why you want to always try to find raw dairy.
Like, for example, people who are lactose intolerant,
if they eat raw, grass-fed cheese,
they'll actually get the enzymes they
need to digest the lactose.
So it can actually improve their lactose intolerance.
So with yogurt, you want to stick
with Greek, non-flavored, organic yogurt
as much as possible.
Stay away from sugar-free.
And I even recommend that you stay away from fat-free,
obviously, because that's where the sugar's at.
So these are the reasons why these four healthy foods
can increase fat storage.
You can still include them in your diet.
Just make the right choices, and make
sure you monitor your portion sizes very carefully.
So thanks for watching this.
If you got something out of it, please hit the Like button
and share it.
And then as a gift for watching this, somewhere around
this video, you'll see a link that you
can click or tap to get a download called "The
Over 40 Stubborn Fat Sequence."
So you simply enter your email, you go onto our email list,
and we will follow up with you.
If you don't get the free report right away,
make sure you check your spam folder,
because email deliverability is becoming very difficult
in today's day and age, because the ISPs are
making it very hard to get into people's inbox.
So make sure you check your spam folder.
And inside this free report called "The Over 40 Stubborn
Fat Sequence," you're going to be introduced
to a 12-minute workout that is specifically
designed for the hormonal condition of people
over 35 years old.
So if you're in your 40s, 50s, or 60s,
this report is going to show you why you must move differently
than younger people.
Workout routines like P90X, CrossFit, Insanity--
these are amazing workouts for fat loss and for muscle gains.
But they're designed for younger people,
and they can actually be more harmful to people
over 35 years old because of the rapidly declining fat loss
hormones.
And these 12-minute metabolic tricks
are going to show you how you can reactivate those declining
fat loss hormones, elevate your metabolism for up to two days
after one 12-minute session.
And when it's done properly, the published science
and the research shows it can increase growth hormone levels
450% to 700%.
So thanks for watching this, and keep going strong.
