How to Prepare for the Great American Eclipse: August 21, 2017 - FreeSchool - Duration: 5:47.

On August 21, 2017, residents of the continental United States are in for a treat.

A total solar eclipse will sweep across the country, the first to be visible from the

lower forty-eight states since 1979, 38 years ago.

The path of the eclipse is predicted to travel from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina,

and pass over many large cities and populated areas - making this eclipse potentially the

most-viewed total eclipse in the history of the world.

So, what is a total eclipse?

A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between the sun and the earth and blocks the

sun's light from hitting the earth's surface.

Many times, the moon only blocks part of the sun's light, resulting in either a partial

eclipse, or an annular eclipse.

During a total eclipse, the sun and the moon line up perfectly, and to people within a

small area, the moon seems to completely cover the sun.

Inside the moon's shadow, it will become very dark, like it is night.

Stars will be visible.

The temperature will drop.

You might even hear nocturnal animals begin to call!

A total eclipse happens somewhere on earth about every year and a half, but it is much

less common for them to be visible from where people live.

For example, many, many eclipses occur over the ocean, and still others happen over uninhabited

land.

For most people, being within range of a total eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event!

If you will be in the continental United States on August 21, 2017, and want to see the eclipse,

carefully check the maps provided by NASA to see how far you are from the path of totality.

If you are nearby, you may wish to travel to a location where you can see the total

eclipse.

It's a good idea to make plans ahead of time and carefully select a place to watch the

eclipse.

Remember, thousands of other people will also be traveling to view this rare astronomical

event.

If the path of the eclipse is too far from you, don't worry!

Most of North America will still be able to view it as a partial eclipse.

It is very, very important to consider safety when preparing to view the solar eclipse.

Looking directly at the sun is dangerous and can cause eye damage or even blindness, and

this is still true during an eclipse.

The exception is during totality, or when the disk of the sun is completely blocked

from view by the moon, when it is safe to look directly at the sun.

However, totality will only last at a MAXIMUM for two minutes and forty seconds, so it is

important to prepare to observe the eclipse in other ways.

There is only one way to safely look directly at the sun when it is partially eclipsed,

and that is through a special solar filter.

Solar filters can be handheld or in the form of 'eclipse glasses.'

Be sure whatever filter you select is ISO certified, and check to make sure they are

not scratched or damaged before use.

Except during totality, do not look at the sun through a camera, binoculars, or a telescope,

even if you are using a solar filter.

These devices concentrate the sun's rays and can seriously damage your filter and your

eyes.

For those without solar filters, there are simple indirect viewing methods you can use

to track the progress of the eclipse towards totality.

The first is simple: look for a leafy tree that casts a shadow on a smooth surface.

The tiny gaps between the leaves will project the image of the eclipsed sun.

If there are no convenient trees nearby, you can criss-cross your fingers to get the same

effect.

Finally, you can make a pinhole projector to cast a single, clear projection of the

sun.

Take a piece of card and poke a small round hole into it.

Hold it between the sun and a smooth, solid surface to see the progress of the moon across

the sun.

Viewing a total eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event for many people, so it makes sense to

be prepared!

Don't forget to check the maps for the time and location the eclipse will occur nearest

you.

If you wish to view the eclipse directly, be sure to purchase a certified solar filter

to protect your eyes.

Finally, indirect viewing of an eclipse can be fun and exciting, even for observers outside

the path of totality.

All You Need To Know About Black Panther's Costume - Duration: 2:08.

Recently released "Black Panther" trailer has made the audience go crazy on the internet

as it has so much sparks and seems to be very promising.

Besides other things the costumes have caught my eyes as they are designed brilliantly.

Earlier in "Captain America" T'Challa was seen wearing a heavily armored costume

with a tribal Wakandan touch on it, coated with the metal vibranium.

That suit didn't have any smart functions either.

However, fans will be watching T'Challa wearing his previous suit in the beginning

of the movie , in the scene where he will be seen chasing some hunters out of Wakanda.But

later his costumes will be changed.

The new costumes of T'Challa as it is seen on the trailer is much simpler than the previous

one, it is form fitting and has an aqua line on it.

T'Challa's silver necklace here is seen to be changed into a golden one.

A Surprising element comes into the trailer where the princess of Wakanda Shuri is seen

to wear a suit made of even more advanced vibranium technology.

There seems to be a possibility that Shuri is the person who will be designing the new

costumes for T'Challa in the movie.

Letitia Wright who plays Shuri has recently revealed some facts about the character.

Princess Shuri is genius, cool and she is always busy experimenting the versatile usage

of vibranium.

Her motto is to make Wakanda even more advanced.

Many theories are being cooked up to support the idea of changing the costume after the

trailer has been released.

But I would rather go with the logical one.

In one part of the trailer T'Challa is seen to be on a mission and according to sources

it is filmed in South Korea.

For the accomplishment of both the mission and the storyline of the movie it was necessary

to bring some changes to his costumes.

Besides that we should also keep in mind that the "Black Panther" movie is a setup in

the advanced Africa so his previous costume would be inappropriate and look primitive

in this kind of setup.

The visual of the trailer gives us a sight of a city which belongs to the third world,

has tribal cultures and heritage yet it is modern and advanced.

Only T'Challa's new strikingly updated costume would match perfectly in such settings.

My Opinion On Sleepykinq - Duration: 5:32.

hello there my name is icy and today I'm going to talk about my opinions on

Sleepykinq I've been wanting to talk about this for a while now and I finally

decided to also I'm using a text-to-speech thing because I stutter

too much and forget what I'm going to say or I just repeat myself a lot but

anyways I've been seeing many rants on Sleepykinq about him supporting rape and

teaching children that it's okay to watch rape or murder or learn from these

things and I've been looking at his comments on his deviantART of kids saying they

would rape mystery or calling mystery their senpai even kids on tumblr would

ask him if mystery you would rape them and sleepykinq would reply with

something like "yes, he probably would" I honestly feel like Sleepykinq is

teaching children to say these things are find rape or murder okay by looking

at his content or reading his comic so I can agree with many of these rants sleepy

kinq's sekkusu MAP as well was pretty dumb in my opinion I personally think

that he should have never uploaded it even if it did have warnings and it was

a shitpost still younger animators who are 10 or a bit older were joining that map

after sleepykinq got his second strike on his channel he tried his best by

deleting all of his sexual content off YouTube however people still ranted on

him and sleepkinq is tired of getting ranted on and has been feeling guilty for it. Now I

will share my opinions about what I think about this I do believe Skrill

understands that what he is doing is wrong he is trying his best to improve

as a person by deleting his NSFW artwork off of his deviantART and putting

warnings in his videos that involve his characters getting abused or tortured he

even set a password to his NSFW blog on tumblr so no young kids would go on it

and see what's on there. skrill said before on an ask on his tumblr that he

thought that rape was a form of sex but those are two completely different

things,, but please do remember that he has grown up in a bad situation and both of

his parents never really took care of him or his

siblings if you want to know more about Skrill's past I'll have a link in the

description. also Skrill has dropped out of school and he has said that he is

technically still in school and can go whenever he wants to

so by hearing him talk about these kinds of things I don't think he's learned

much about that stuff so he isn't 100% smart. in Skrill's re-nightmare comic he

has made a couple of rape jokes that were not needed. but his comic was made

back in 2015 and everyone who joins the Internet will change over the years and

find their older selves cringy I get it you can't delete how you were in the

past and the past has never forgotten but back in 2015 sleepy was not popular

and he never thought that he would become how he is today,, so back then he

made a rape joke and didn't think that when he was unpopular people would rant

on him for that. even though I understand that rape jokes are bad but

remember that Skrill's personality has changed. sleepy thought that he can

continue on making his sexual and abusive content with his character

mystery I know that these characters are fictional and Skrill wouldn't want to

actually do that to someone so he is just trying to show that his character

mystery is a bad guy I personally think that adding rape into this story was a

bad idea. but if you took out the murder as well

then it wouldn't be as interesting I guess??? mystery is trying to make Alfred

suffer for not being his friend for a mistake mystery made in the past so we

could all tell that mystery is a fucked up character and is the bad guy of this

series. Skrill is also trying to tell the sorta realistic ??? story with his

characters because rape and murder can both happen in real life. and besides why

are we only ranting on Skrill here?? there are many other inappropriate animation

memes and animators such as scotch. and I get it scotch is 20 years old but the

animation meme community has children doing these inappropriate memes and I'm

sure that scotch is old enough to understand that kids also watch his

content but I think that we should give Skrill

another chance I think we should give him some time to become a better person.

Skrill is a really nice person once you get to know him and I think he has (or is trying to)

learned his lesson. I've seen Skrill venting a lot and

posting some vent art which really got me worried

he also made this one post about ranting on himself I don't want too many people

to rant on him too much or else it might make Skrill do self harm or maybe even

killing himself... but Skrill is trying his best not to hurt anyone and become a

better person so let's give him some time and see what happens. if he

continues to stay this way then I get it if you continue making rants on him so

if you agree with my opinions that is fine and if you disagree that is fine

too I respect your opinions so please respect mine. I know I may not change

your mind but I just wanted to say this thank you for listening. UwU

Korean Kimchi - Duration: 4:29.

Hi, I'm Karen Godard.

I'm going to show you how to make Korean Kimchi.

First, you're going to need some Napa cabbage.

Not Bok Choy or regular cabbage.

You want Napa.

And you need some regular salt,

some carrots that you're going to julienne,

and green onions,

about a clove of garlic,

and some ginger

that you're going to peel off the bark,

cut off a couple slices, and then shred it (the slices) with a fork.

You also need cayenne pepper.

I buy mine at an Asian market -

I like the flavor -

but I've used cayenne from all over the world

and including Mexico and it all works fine.

And the secret ingredient

is called Salted Shrimp Fry (Shrimp Paste)

which you can get at any kind of Asian market.

You're going to take your Napa cabbage and wash it off,

take off the end - cut off the end -

and then lay the leaves down and cut them lengthwise,

and then into about one-inch pieces,

and then put them in layers.

So, you're going to put a layer of the pieces in a large bowl or pan,

and a kind of generous heaping of salt,

and then sprinkle it with a little bit of water.

And then repeat that -

put another layer of cabbage, more salt, and a little bit of water -

until you've used up the cabbage that you want.

Leave it sit at least for a couple hours or overnight.

It gets very translucent and pliable.

Then, when you're ready to prepare it,

it's very important that you wash off every bit of salt

because it won't cure properly.

It'll interrupt the fermentation

and would actually spoil the Kimchi.

I cut my carrots on a diagonal,

and then I take those pieces

and then I cut them into little, tiny slivers.

To do the green onions,

you're going to slice them lengthwise;

not only the white part, here,

but also all the green leaves.

You're going to slice them like this - so you have nice thin pieces of green onion in your Kimchi.

And then cut them into about three-inch pieces.

And, also, with my garlic (as with the ginger slices), I just use a fork to mash (mince) it.

Once you've mixed the vegetables with the spices (the garlic, the ginger, the cayenne pepper),

then you want to use your Shrimp Paste.

I'd recommend using a half-teaspoon or less,

and add a little bit of water to a mini chopper or a blender (so that it grinds).

And you can add this to your sauce in the pan before putting it in the jar, or after it's in the jar.

I like a lot of the sauce, so I add quite a bit of water to it.

You can use any kind of glass jar, reusable jars.

It's not recommended to use a mayonnaise jar

because no matter how you try to clean it, it's hard to get the oil out,

and you can't have any oil mixed with the Kimchi while it's fermenting.

I use this kind of jar - which is like an apothecary jar with a sealed lid.

So, this is what it looks like when you've mixed all your ingredients together.

Now, the important thing when you put it in the fridge, is you don't want it (the jar) shut for three days.

You need to have some kind of air going through.

I just leave it (the lid) open like this.

And the reason why is it's fermenting and it actually could explode in your refrigerator.

So, at least for three days, you want to keep it with a little bit of air going through.

And, maybe, once or twice a day, close the lid, shake it (the jar) so that your sauce is going

- you know - all over the cabbage,

and then put it back in there (refrigerator).

After three days, it's fine, you can shut the lid.

And it's really delicious.

It's not for everybody. It has an aroma, a scent!

It's very strong, but it's really good.

Unlimited Battery For Your Camera with the Tether Tools Case Relay - Duration: 3:45.

I am Lumix Luminary, and today I am going to be talking

about the Tether Tools Case Relay.

This little product here is a great product for people

that are shooting video like we are today,

or that are shooting time-lapse.

And there's many other applications as well.

This is gonna give you uninterrupted power.

So this is going to give you uninterrupted power

from either the wall or from a battery

which looks like this, like an external battery.

And you're gonna be able to take that

and put it into your camera.

So let me show you a little bit about how this works

with my brand new GH5.

So I just got this GH5, and I just got the Case Relay here.

So I'm gonna pop my battery out,

and I'm going to take this DC coupler

which looks exactly like my battery

and I'm gonna pop that in.

Now I do have a little piece of rubber here

that's going to have to move out of the way.

You can leave the battery door open

on this particular camera, or you can close it.

So I can move that piece of rubber and then close it.

And that lets the wire come out

and still lets the camera function.

So now what I can do,

which we're not gonna do here is take any adapter,

and plug this into a wall.

So that gives me the ability to have unlimited power.

I'm able to just continue to film

or do time lapse all day long.

But in time lapse, I'm usually outdoors,

so I don't have the power.

So I simply unplug that,

and I have one or many of these,

which are cheap.

I think this was maybe 20 or 30 bucks

at the local Walmart.

I plug it in.

I have 88% power now,

and this actually starts to power this little box up.

So what's happening is,

when you plug it in to a power source,

either electrical or battery,

it's charging another battery in here.

Inside the camera, that's just a dummy battery,

so there's nothing actually in there.

So this battery is continuously charging this.

What that lets me do over other power adapters is

unplug this and continue to run the camera off this battery.

So as you're charging up your large battery,

if you need to switch to another battery

for your time lapse,

you pull the battery.

This battery will keep this camera charged up here.

So each, you can buy one Case Relay,

and you can buy a multiple dongles.

So that one is for my GH5.

This one here is for the GX8,

which we're recording with over here.

So again, this is just contacts.

So this plugs in.

Now I can simply switch this out

with my same Case Relay,

and now I'm able to plug this in for a GX8.

So you can buy all of these little dongles.

I believe they're a few bucks to buy these,

maybe 20 or 30 bucks.

The whole system is just over a 100 dollars

and then depending how many dongles you buy,

it could go up from there.

It's a great product.

Solid product for those video users out there.

This GX8 is an awesome camera, but it's got a small battery,

so it does die quickly,

and then we have to keep changing batteries,

or we hear a click when we're doing our after hours shows,

and now we don't have to worry about that.

We can plug it right into the wall

and we're off and running the whole night.

Once again, this is the Case Relay.

It's a great little product.

Let's take down the strongest one.

The enemies that do not have both types of attacks cannot hurt me at all. Which means most of them, I presume. People were payed for this...

And it goes down so slow that I won't even have to renew it, staying invulnerable for the entire duration of the fight. Balance!

Gooka's Body Strength was raised by 5! Gooka's Will Power was raised by 1! Gooka's Health was raised by 1!

I think it's random, but I am not sure. Who cares. I can't look at the items I got. Great game design! -_-

A normal dagger

Isn't that a great equipment progression? From a worn dagger to an artefact sword! -_-

Why is there equipment (weapon slot) in this game? They could just switched them automatically with a character monologue that he has found a better weapo nand can sell the old one. It's unneccesary here, if this system wasn't in this game, almost nothing would change.

I am very nonprofessionally (I'm not getting paid) backing up my saves (because the slot amount is limited). That there is the old Gooka 1. A far superior game.

I have this one on my C. I don't usually put things on C, but even though I never uninstall games, this might be an exception.

So it took me a while to locate the stupid savegames, they are saved in your Documents under gooka2.

Still better than if they were inside window's Data Application folder, which is where I've looked for them originally.

So I copy pasted the saved games to back them up in case of something fuc.king up.

I can't go back there? Wow, basically a cut location. Just, ... wow.

I was looking forward to explore a cave. I love the big-ass cave systems in Dungeon Siege 1.

By the way, the external (non-ingame) options menu, where the controls are, says that C (changed it to CTRL) can crouch Gooka. Let's see if it works.

It doesn't. They probably used some First person shooter as a base engine.

Isn't it great to turn FPS's engine into an adventure game? Nope. As the "Silver Lining" devs can tell you.

On far and wide voyages I've learned a few battle tricks... would you be interested?

You bet I am! Any help will be costly for me in the future!

I can learn: revange, battle spirit, mirror, darkness.

You really should take the spirit of battle, but revange is nice too.

Revange - This skill hits the target character with the exact same amount of health, as how much the active character is missing from his maximum.

Mirror - This spell balances the Strength of the Body and the Will Power of the target to be the same as the weakest character's in the battle.

Darkness - This spell makes it impossible for the target to use mental spells for three turns, or until it gets hit. In addition, it deletes his memory about whom he has mentally attacked.

The Spirit of Battle - This skill raises the actual Body Strength of the target by a half.

So if you put EVERYTHING into Strength and then cast this... ... you are suddenly very overpowered. :)
