in the room here shall we? Truth is many people just aren't cut out

to have success with those types of marketing tactics especially when

they're being threatened by attorneys who want to discuss litigation with

regards to the Do Not Call List laws they feel we're violated. So when you

have people going down that road many are just going to be like "Hey you

know what? This sucks..I'm out!" at which point many of them will just throw in

the towel and quit which is a real shame. But this is where my Selective

Prospecting Lead Syndicate comes into play, big time. Because statistically

about 15 percent of online direct sale membership program signups originate

from unsolicited telemarketing practices which means that those who aren't

tapping in to the other 85% of other traffic sources are really missing out

Korean Air plane makes emergency landing in Germany after losing radio contact - Duration: 0:33.

A Korean Air plane made an emergency landing in Germany on Saturday evening local time

after it lost radio contact with air traffic control.

Flight KE-nine-one-seven, bound for Zurich, Switzerland from Incheon,... landed at an

airport in Stuttgart,... aided by two German military jets.

Germany's d-p-a news agency said some 200 passengers spent the night at the airport,

and headed to Zurich by bus on Sunday morning.

South Korea may propose military talks to North Korea as early as this week - Duration: 2:02.

Our top story this morning...

The South Korean government is reportedly making preparations to propose military talks

to North Korea.

As Pyongyang argues that resolving military confrontations is the first step to improve

inter-Korean ties,... there's hope the regime could come to the table.

Kim Hyo-sun reports.

South Korea could propose inter-Korean military talks as early as this week,... with the aim

of halting mutual hostile actions.

According to government sources on Sunday,... relevant ministries are currently discussing

the plan.

This appears to be a follow-up measure to President Moon Jae-in's so-called Berlin Declaration,...

in which he said the two Koreas should mutually cease hostile acts across the border,... in

line with the 64th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice Treaty on July 27th.... that

ended the Korean War in 1953.

"If the two Koreas halt all forms of hostile acts that heighten inter-Korean military tensions

across the military demarcation line, it will be a meaningful opportunity to ease military

tensions."

In a commentary on Saturday,... North Korea's main state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun,...

stressed that the first step to improve inter-Korean relations should be resolving the fundamental

issue of military confrontation.

Although the details may be different,... such a comment seems to correspond with President

Moon's plan to stop hostile acts.

Experts say North Korea could be referring to suspending South Korea's propaganda loudspeaker

broadcasts or anti-regime leaflets,... or a halt to Seoul-Washington joint military

drills.

South Korea also plans to propose Red Cross talks to Pyongyang to hold reunions of separated

families in early October,... marking the Chuseok holiday, or Korean Thanksgiving.

However,... it remains to be seen whether the North will accept the proposal,... as

it's demanding South Korea repatriate twelve female North Koreans who defected to the South

last year.

AI semiconductors used to develop new face recognition device - Duration: 1:40.

Korean researchers have made use of artificial intelligence to develop a new face recognition

device.

They say the technology could help law enforcement.... solve crimes and diminish theft of personal

information.

Cho Sung-min reports.

Recent technological achievements in the AI industry are employing machines to do tasks

that were thought to be very difficult to achieve, such as recognizing a person's face

with ease.

A research team in Korea developed a face recognition device called 'K-Eye Series',

which enables users to figure out information of people just by scanning their face.

Like other face-recognizing devices or systems, including the ones embedded in modern day

smartphones, the device has an image sensor, which automatically picks up and recognizes

facial features.

But the 'K-Eye' also displays the person's profile, contained in a database.

This was possible as the device features an AI semiconductor chip developed by using deep

learning algorithm.

Deep learning is the latest technological application present in numerous systems to

enhance machine learning,…where computers learn for themselves based on an enormous

bank of sample data.

This is what makes the device different from its competitors in terms of software and hardware.

"Conventional 'deep learning' systems run on big devices like GPUs,… but we have successfully

embedded the system into the chip.

That's why the device is portable and operates on minimal energy."

When fully commercialized, the device is expected to be firstly used by police forces and security

firms,...as it can enhance safety measures by make searching procedures of crime suspects

and missing people much easier.

Branch Retinal Artery Occlusion - Duration: 2:51.

Hey everybody, this is Steve Christiansen, and in this video I will talk about branch retinal artery occlusions

And will share a few interesting photos from a patient I recently saw in clinic

This is a fundus autofluorescence and macular thickness map of a 60 year old African American woman who complained of a black cloud in her inferior visual field which she noticed the prior day.

She was hypertensive but had no other vascular risk factors. Her vision was 20/30 at this time.

Here you can see hypoautofluorescence and thickening of the superior macula, suggestive of a branch retinal artery occlusion.

Here is a series of line scans through the macula. As you can see, the inferior macula is fairly normal

but the inner retinal layers show hyperreflectance and edema of the superior fovea and macula.

Remember that the edema is isolated to the inner retina because this area is perfused by the central retinal artery and its branches.

Interestingly, the fluorescein angiogram was essentially normal, without any visible arterial occlusion or area of non-perfusion

possibly because of only a short, transient episode of ischemia, which had already improved by the time she saw us.

These line scans were taken about a month later, and show the rapid improvement in the prior hypoautofluorescence and inner retinal thickening

here is a comparison of the thickness map between the two visits. Vision had improved at this time to 20/25 and she had noticed a lessening of the black cloud in her vision.

Let's review just a few pearls of branch retinal artery occlusions.

First, it is felt that BRAO's comprise 38% of all acute retinal artery obstructions.

They typically present with monocular vision loss and a relative visual field defect.

Secondly, the fundus will have an area of whitening, possibly along the course of a branched arteriole as seen in this fundus photo from EyeRounds.org.

Emboli are visible in the majority of cases, typically at vessel bifurcations.

Typically BRAOs have a good visual prognosis, with vision improving to 20/40 or better in 80% of cases.

The workup for BRAOs is similar to that of CRAOs, with carotid Doppler and cardiac echo to search for embolic sources.

Finally, BRAOs can be seen in giant cell arteritis, so be sure to ask about GCA-risk factors, though BRAOs occur less commonly in GCA compared to CRAOs.

To summarize, this was a fairly straightforward case of a BRAO that I thought had some interesting imaging features that I wanted to share.

Instant Foods Continue the K-food Hallyu Trend - Duration: 5:30.

The Hallyu wave of Korean food has expanded from traditional dishes like kimchi and bulgogi

to chicken and beer.

Now, domestic instants foods are following suit.

Why is it that exports of instant ramyeon noodles and frozen foods are steadily increasing?

We took a look at the current state of K-foods, led by Korean instant foods, and predicted

their future prospects.

The Hallyu Korean wave taking over the world with K-pop and Korean TV dramas is leading

to strong interest in K-foods.

The popularity of K-foods is immediately apparent in the numbers.

Oveseas exports of domestic agricultural and food products, amounting to 5.6 billion dollars

in 2012, grew steadily to 6.4 billion dollars last year.

Hot on the heals of traditional Korean food, which targeted overseas markets for expansion,

domestic instant foods are captivating diners abroad.

The most beloved instant food overseas is ramyeon, or instant noodles.

Having made its way from Japan and China in Asia to the southernmost point of Chile's

Punta Arenas on the opposite side of the globe, domestic ramyeon enjoyed record-breaking exports

last year.

Korea's top ramyeon producer is exporting to 100 countries around the world.

Thanks to its addictively spicy flavor, exports and sales recorded by overseas branches reached

631 million dollars last year.

The secrets to the success included developing menus to cater to local tastes.

For example, one domestic instant noodle product that is overwhelmingly popular in Russia was

often enjoyed with mayonnaise and sausages by Russian diners.

Reflecting this trend, the company released a product which includes mayonnaise sauce.

One instant noodle dish, with no broth and a spicy flavor, gained attention through social

media as foreign diners uploaded videos of attempts at eating it.

This led to more than a 4-fold increase in sales overseas within a year.

"The positive thing is that various Korean instant foods are prepared through their methods,

and companies can gather their opinions through their methods and diverse evaluations.

They also act as a bridge for localization through their own preparations.

"

Frozen foods are also popular abroad, especially frozen dumplings.

One frozen dumpling product developed by a domestic producer has emerged as a global

brand in the U.S. and China by tailoring to local demands.

In the U.S. especially, it has taken the top slot for market share in just 4 years since

its release.

"Dumpling factories have been built in Korea, China and the U.S. for local production and

sales.

Frozen food companies in Vietnam and Russia were recently acquired to prepare for expanded

operations.

"

In addition to aggressive investment for local production and marketing, the high-end nature

of korean dumplings and locally appealing flavors led to this success.

The company, currently ranked 5th in the global dumpling market, plans to continue its local

adjustment strategy beyond the U.S. and China to expand to Europe and Southeast Asia, aiming

to take 1st place by 2020.

"Americans prefer cilantro over the leeks that Koreans favor, so developing dumplings

using cilantro, or with a chicken base to reflect its popularity over pork, could be

seen as a fine accomplishment.

In China as well, locally-tailored products are being developed and sold to reflect the

Chinese preference for products with corn, cabbage or various vegetables in dumplings.

"

The Hallyu trend of instant foods is highly meaningful in terms of the globalization of

Korean food.

Experts say that for the Hallyu food wave to continue, the government's role is also

important.

"Korean culture is being exported to many countries around the world, in the form of

k-pop, TV dramas and movies.

Young generations who have experienced that culture will naturally show an interest in

Korean food.

Expanding this interest by developing and exporting products tailored to their tastes

will certainly contribute to the development of Korea's food market."

Tastes in food, once captivated, are long lasting parts of daily lifestyles.

This is why K-food is cited as a branch of Hallyu content with greater cultural impact

than other fields which are sensitive to trends.

Based on the popularity of instant foods, anticipation is rising for the continued growth

of even more diverse Korean foods.

Incheon International Airport to open Terminal 2 by January 2018 - Duration: 1:41.

It has been several years in the works,... but Korea's main gateway -- Incheon International

Airport -- is just a few months away from opening its second terminal to handle the

growing number of passengers using the airport.

Officials say Terminal 2 will be up-and-running ahead of next year's Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Park Ji-won reports.

Incheon International Airport's new terminal building is scheduled for completion by the

end of September.

After a roughly twelve week-long trial period,... the new terminal will be open to the public

from January next year,... just in time for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, which

kick off the following month.

Four airlines -- Korean Air, Delta Air Lines, Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines -- will

move into the new terminal.

The terminal,... which has five stories above ground and two underground levels,... will

be equipped with 22 state-of-the-art full-body scanners,... capable of detecting dangerous

materials that cannot be picked up by metal detectors.

After going through security and passport control,... passengers can enjoy some tax-free

shopping at various duty-free shops in the new terminal.

The Incheon International Airport Corporation says the new terminal will be connected to

the subway line and have its own bus stops for passengers' convenience.

Once open,... it's estimated Incheon International Airport will handle some 72 million passengers

a year...

up from the current 54 million.

More than half of smartphones sold globally this year equipped with fingerprint readers - Duration: 0:38.

Fingerprint scanners on smartphones are becoming more prevalent across all devices -- from

flagship to budget-end models.

U.S. market research firm Strategy Analytics says more than 850 million smartphones with

the function will be shipped this year -- that's 55 percent of the total.

It's the first time they will account for more than half the smartphones on the market.

The figure is forecast to hit 80 percent by 2020.

Just four years ago -- in 2013 -- fingerprint recognition was available on just three percent

of smartphones.

Chinese dormitory fire kills 22, suspect detained - Duration: 0:27.

Twenty-two people have been killed after a fire broke out at a dormitory for restaurant

workers in eastern China.

Sunday's incident in the city of Changshu also left three others injured and police

say they have detained a 41-year-old resident on suspicion of arson.

Authorities say all the doors were locked from the outside, preventing the 29 residents

from being able to escape.

Hi everyone it's Asahi.

Today I will be showing you my makeup based on a theme "your true colors" for FaceAwards Japan 2017.

Now for my makeup!

First to emphasize the eye makeup I will hide my eyebrows.

To do this I have described it in this video.

I have chosen grey colored, colored contacts.

First I will take light matte colored foundation and blend it in by using a sponge.

Later I will be adding something to my forehead so I'm only applying it up to my brows.

I will be using a light colored concealer to hide any blemishes, dark spots, as well as my brows.

Next I will layer powder foundation.

Next I will use these flowers that will be the main color of this makeup.

When I started youtube, I use to do makeup with flowers a lot..

and because the theme is "your true colors" I thought it will be a good idea to go back to where I have started

I will glue each petal using glue used for lashes.

Here I'm starting from dark colored and gradually making it lighter.

It makes it look like a bird feathers or fish scale.

By the way, the headdress I'm wearing now is made by taking thick paper and

gluing on cloth, laces, piercings, and necklace.

Now it looks sort of like a peacock.

Next to eye makeup.

First I will use white eyeshadow as the base.

This will allow for the next eye shadow to look lighter and more bright.

Then I will take this pink eye shadow and apply it diagonally purposely skipping out the center.

Then I will take this magenta color to the boarder and then take the blending brush to blend.

I will repeat this few times to make a nice gradient color finish.

Then I will take purple and do the same to give it more depth in color.

I will then use yellow to my inner eye, and apply shimmering yellow glitter over it.

Taking white powder eye shadow, I will apply to the center of the eyelid.

With pink and purple power eyeshadow I will do the same to the outer part.

I will use black liquid eyeliner and draw cat eyes.

To boarder that, I will use blue liquid eyeliner

I really love this eyeliner because it really shows a nice blue color.

I will apply black eye shadow for the bottom eyelid and white for inner eyelid.

Then I will put on some sparkles on my eyelid.

Then I will use white liquid eyeliner and draw a pattern that should mirror on the other side.

This require steady hands. If you press your hands against your cheeks it helps.

I will then put on a natural-long lashes.

I will then apply eyeliner on top.

For the bottom lashes, I cut them into pieces so it's easier to put on.

Next using a color that's similar to the flowers, I will apply it to my temples.

Then from there towards my cheeks, I will apply pink shadow.

Then using the same color, I will put in some nose shadow.

Taking white highlights, I will apply it to cheek, top of nose, above my lips, and to my chin

For lips, I will use purple lip liner to draw out the boarder.

Then fill the boarder leaving the center open.

I will apply magenta colored lip gloss to the center and using a brush blend the purple and magenta together.

I will then apply shimmering eyeshadow on top of it.

To finish it off I will use some glitter.

To the bottom of my lips I will put some yellow glitter.

I will take yellow and blue glitter and aply it below my eyes like tears.

I will put on bigger glitter by using glue for lashes.

These bigger glitters takes in light from different angles and shines in different ways.

Lastly, I will put on this lace. But before I do I will draw a lines to where I will put it on.

Then I will use pink lip gross to paint my neck up to the line and blend it in using a sponge.

I will put some shading in at the boarders.

For areas that are protruding I will put lighter color highlights

Put on the lace and do your hair and the makeup is complete!

I sort of look like a new Star Wars character don't I?

But I think I was able to show my true colors, and I am very satisfied with the results.
