Youtube daily report Jul 3 2017

Let's say you wanted to make yourself a white, sandy beach.

Y'know, like the ones in Hawai'i or islands in the South Pacific where people take luxurious

vacations and lots of Instagram photos.

It turns out, the recipe for that picturesque white sand is pretty simple.

There are a couple steps involved, but just one main ingredient: poop.

The first thing you'll need is a coral reef—it's location-specific and unfortunately there's

no store-bought alternative.

Coral reefs are made up of thousands of tiny polyps, which are squishy sacs with tentacles

that can sting and catch prey.

Kind of like sea anemones.

These polyps are anchored to a sturdy skeleton that they make by laying down a crystallized

form of calcium carbonate called aragonite, which is a bright white color.

Reefs are found in parts of the ocean that are considered to be oligotrophic—which means

that there aren't that many tasty nutrients floating around, like phosphate or nitrate.

And coral polyps aren't exactly mobile, so if they were left to their own devices,

they might starve.

But coral polyps aren't alone.

They get help from an algae called zooxanthellae that live symbiotically in their tissues.

These algae can photosynthesize, changing sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into food

energy, and share a large chunk of that energy with the coral.

As coral polyps get more energy, they build out their skeletons and grow the reef.

And these algae are also what give coral its bright colors.

When you have a thriving coral reef, other undersea plants and animals move in and begin

to form a whole ecosystem.

And to get your white sandy beach, you need some parrotfish.

Or more specifically... their poop.

Parrotfish get their name for their bright colours and their weird, bird-like beaks.

These beaks are actually made of fused teeth called dental plates, which help them graze

for their main food source: algae.

Parrotfish spend their days scraping away at coral reefs, eating polyps for the zooxanthellae

inside, and any other algae they can find.

They're not super careful or picky, so they end up swallowing mouthfuls of calcium carbonate,

too… which they can't digest for nutrients or energy.

But the parrotfish have a secret weapon—their throats are hiding another set of teeth called

pharyngeal jaws that can grind up the coral skeletons.

Like, the xenomorph from Alien… but in real life.

This makes it easier for the chunks to travel through their digestive system.

And they get rid of this calcium carbonate in streams of the purest, whitest tropical

sand.

In fact, according to some studies, one parrotfish can poop out around 300 kilograms of sand

or more in a single year!

After some ocean currents stir everything around, you have yourself a pristine white

sand beach.

Perfect for strolling, sunbathing, and building sandcastles… as long as you don't mind

fish poop.

Strange and Baffling Unsolved Mysteries |Part 1|Jennifer Groesbeck and Linda Cortile - Duration: 13:28.

Jennifer Groesbeck - The Spirit Calls Out For Help

Jennifer Groesbeck and her daughter, Lily, left the home of Jenny's parents on Friday,

March 6 around 10 at night.

She was driving from Salem, where her parents lived, to Springfield.

Jenny's father strapped little Lily into her car seat and sent them on their way.

Little did he know that he wouldn't see his daughter alive again.

Jenny lost control of her vehicle and plunged into the icy Spanish Fork River located in

Utah.

A fisherman came upon the vehicle around noon the next day.

This was approximately 14 hours after Jenny had left her parent's house.

The fisherman called authorities for help.

When first responders arrived, they saw no signs of life.

When the call came over the radio, it was reported as a possible abandoned vehicle in

the river.

As they moved closer to the wreckage, they could see someone inside.

They reported later that they hadn't planned on flipping over a vehicle that day, but as

they rushed toward the river, they heard a voice pleading for help.

Instantly, they ran to the vehicle.

Full of adrenaline and concern for the occupants inside, the responders flipped the truck over

and found the two people.

One of the first respondents reports that he had heard a voice, and he believes one

of the others responded with, "We're trying our best to get in there."

When the truck was flipped, they saw that there was a mother and her little girl.

The mother was clearly deceased, and they were concerned that the girl was gone as well.

As you can see in the picture above, body cameras catch the frantic rescue of baby Lily

from the car seat where she'd been suspended upside down since the accident.

Firefighters who had jumped into the river to save the little girl were treated for hypothermia

at a nearby hospital.

Many of the responders have talked about that night, and they swear they heard a voice call

for help.

Later, they found out that the mother died on impact.

There was no way she could have been the voice calling for help.

Lily was just a baby and unconscious when she was rescued from the icy water.

Even knowing that Jenny couldn't have called for help, they stand by what they heard.

The responders were later honored for their role in saving Lily's life.

The family isn't exactly shocked that Jenny seems to have remained with her daughter until

help arrived.

They knew Jenny as a loving and devoted mom who would do anything for her little girl.

Lily spent approximately a week in the ICU while recovering.

The doctors worried about brain damage since the girl spent almost 14 hours hanging upside

down in her car seat in the cold SUV.

In the days and weeks that followed, she's only grown stronger and has made a full recovery.

She is singing and blowing kisses to her grandfather.

While Lily will surely have questions as she grows up, one thing she won't question is

her mother's love.

This was a love so deep that it transcended the veil between life and death to make sure

that her beloved baby had a chance at life.

Linda Cortile and The Manhattan Transfer Abduction Story

Bordering on paranormal, the phenomenon of alien abduction has polarized the world in

opinions and conclusions.

The truth of whether or not extraterrestrials are somehow finding their way to our planet

to perform strange experiments on hapless victims is possibly secondary to the mystery

of the widespread accounts of such visitations.

How can so many people have had encounters and yet there is little concrete evidence?

The following story is about a woman, Linda Cortile, who claimed that gray aliens abducted

her from her apartment in Manhattan.

As is the case with all abduction stories, skeptics have labeled hers a hoax.

This is the Manhattan Transfer Abduction story.

During his lifetime, Budd Elliot Hopkins became one of the world's foremost UFO investigators.

Rather than investigate close encounters, he opted to discover more about the growing

reports of alien abductions.

Hopkins poured so much of his curiosity into researching the phenomenon that he acquired

the nickname "The Father of the Abduction Movement".

He wrote a pair of books on the subject, the second of which led to a third.

In April 1989, the 41-year-old Linda Cortile was curious about the second of these books,

Intruders: The Incredible Visitations of Copley Woods, and began to read it.

The more she read, the more she began putting two and two together.

Thirteen years previously, she discovered a bump on her face not far from her nose.

When a doctor examined this bump, he told her it was nothing more than a surgery.

The only problem with this hypothesis was that no surgery had taken place.

Seven months after she initially met Budd Hopkins, Linda became the center of what many

people cited as the most compelling and controversial of all alien abduction cases.

They called the case the Manhattan Transfer Abduction.

She originally called herself Linda Cortile, but she later changed her name to Linda Napolitano.

Around 3:00 am on November 30, 1989, Linda supposedly had an experience with several

gray aliens.

At the time, she could only recall fragments but she remembered enough to claim that she

floated out of her closed bedroom window on her 12th-floor apartment into a hovering UFO.

Once on board, the beings escorted her to a room that was likely a medical bay.

There, she underwent an examination.

With selected parts of the event not immediately available to her, Hopkins decided to try hypnotic

regression.

These sessions took place over the course of much of the following year.

Along with her original memories, these sessions filled in many blanks of a standard abduction

experience.

What makes the Manhattan Transfer Abduction experience stand out from almost every other

one was what happened just over a year after the abduction.

Hopkins received apparent confirmation from two additional witnesses.

A letter arrived in the post from two men called Richard and Dan.

Even though the letter corroborated the reports Linda made, Hopkins did have some doubts over

the pair.

Wanting to know more about them, Hopkins conducted background checks on them.

It turned out that both men had the same career: close quarters bodyguards.

Additionally, on 30 November, both men were guarding the same man.

Some people believe that man was the current United Nations Secretary General, Javier Perez

de Cuellar.

The three of them were in a limousine and were crossing the Brooklyn Bridge when they

saw something that shocked them.

Both bodyguards insisted that they saw a woman floating way above the ground towards a massive

craft hovering nearby.

If that wasn't enough of a sight, a trio of other beings was accompanying the woman.

When the four entered the craft, it headed for the East River and disappeared underwater.

Whatever took place in the middle of that November night had a profound effect on Linda

and even more so on the bodyguards.

Both men became more irrational and began to display psychotic behavior.

Dan convinced himself that Linda had an unusual supernatural power or an extraordinary influence

on other people.

Dan's borderline obsession with Linda took on a much more serious threat when he began

stalking her.

Things took on a strange turn on 29 April 1991, when both men inflicted a more down

to earth abduction of Linda.

They bundled her into their vehicle and interrogated her for several hours.

All of this took place in broad daylight.

It was Dan who took on the role of the so-called bad cop; at no time did he accept Linda's

denials about the original abduction experience.

The more protests she uttered, the more upset he became.

Six months after the second abduction, Linda suffered a third.

Dan brought Linda to a safe house in Long Island and forced her to put on a nightgown,

similar to the one she wore when they saw her floating away from her apartment.

Richard was nowhere to be seen, but Linda did recall that she spotted some official

paperwork from the CIA.

Linda did manage to escape the house, but the foot chase ended when Dan caught up with

her on a beach.

Dan dunked her head into the sea more than once before Richard turned up and coaxed Dan

into releasing her.

Richard took Linda home.

A month later, Richard turned up at her door.

He told her that Dan's obsessive behavior had become so out of control that he was actually

committed to an asylum.

While all of this was taking place, Budd Hopkins received another letter in the mail.

This came from a woman called Janet Trimble.

She revealed that she, too, was driving across the Brooklyn Bridge at the time of the original

abduction.

Trimble, a retired telephone operator, assumed that the event was nothing more than a scene

or filming of a scene from an upcoming science fiction film.

With the addition of a fourth witness, Hopkins made the decision to go public with some of

the details of the whole event.

If Cuellar had come forward publicly, he could have propelled the Cortile abduction into

the stratosphere of UFO cases with credible documentation.

Hopkins and Cuellar corresponded on a regular basis and, while he did confirm details, Cuellar

refused to go public.

Cuellar was willing to meet with Hopkins behind closed doors on the condition that Hopkins

never disclose his name to the public domain.

In 2003, Linda Cortile agreed to a sit-down interview with French magazine, La Gazette

Fortéenne.

During this interview, she added several new facts to her account.

The main addition to the original report was information of an undisclosed witness to the

abduction.

All that Cortile revealed was that the witness was a truck driver for the New York Post and

had an ideal vantage point from the Brooklyn Bridge.

Today, the Linda Cortile Case website claims that there are 23 witnesses of the Manhattan

Transfer Abduction case on public record.

Skeptics provide many loopholes to the story of Linda Napolitano and argue that many details

of the case could be 'too good to be true'.

The apartment block that Cortile lived in was a stone's throw from the active loading

dock of the New York Post.

None of the workers on duty that shift reported anything unusual at the time.

That could be due to their own schedule at the time in question.

A more telling fact that counts against this abduction taking place could surround Cuellar

and his limousine.

Security personnel insists that transporting a dignitary such as the Secretary General

of the UN is an enormous logistical process.

Security teams often prepare high ranking officials' travel well in advance.

A huge part of this is the timetables given.

If the car that is transporting the Secretary General is even a few seconds behind schedule,

then UN forces would have to move in and determine what, if any, action is required.

Checkpoints are also set up and used to help determine whether or not lateness is an issue.

It has been almost three decades, and the Manhattan Transfer Abduction is still causing

a stir.

What really happened to Linda Cortile, if anything, is a debatable mystery.

BREAKING: Obama Issues Horrifying Independence Day Message. He HATES America. | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:34.

As we get ready to celebrate our Independence Day, it's important to remember that our

freedoms will always need defending from immoral demagogues who detest our country.

Barack Obama is like a bad rash that just won't go away.

Now that he's no longer President, he's making his contempt for America clearer than

ever.

According to The Guardian, instead of celebrating our Independence Day, Obama is telling Americans

to be LESS patriotic.

Can you believe this guy?

Like a typical Leftist, Obama trashes the very country that made his comfortable lifestyle

possible.

Instead, he praises foreign countries where he would never enjoy the fabulous vacations

he loves so much!

Just this weekend, Obama made a pit-stop in Indonesia during what may as well be called

his "I Hate America" tour.

He used the opportunity to criticize what he refers to as "an aggressive kind of nationalism."

Apparently, he's referring to the "America First" movement championed by President

Trump.

Obama doesn't get what this movement is all about.

Since he has no loyalty to the United States, he can't comprehend that Americans love

this nation and want to protect it.

Obama's nothing more than a deadbeat globalist!

Just look at the way he completely misrepresents what we're all about:

"What we will see is more and more people arguing against democracy, we will see more

and more people who are looking to restrict freedom of the press, and we'll see more

intolerance, more tribal divisions, more ethnic divisions, and religious divisions and more

violence."

There's so much wrong with that knee-jerk picture?

Where do you even begin?

First of all, how are Trump and his supporters arguing against Democracy?

Conservatives are the biggest defenders of democracy in the United States!

Progressives like Obama are the ones who want to give away our country's sovereignty to

unelected international bodies like the United Nations.

They're the ones who empower unelected bureaucrats, making them more powerful than our elected

officials.

Obama's remarks about restricting freedom of the press are just laughable.

That's nothing more than the standard liberal talking point since Trump's election.

For the Left, freedom of the press means Left-wing outlets get to say whatever they want without

criticism.

If you call them out on their fake news, they say you're attacking the free press.

Of course, Leftists have no problem whatsoever with targeting Right-wing publications.

They're all for classifying them as "hate speech" and then shutting them down.

Democrats are the Party of hypocrisy.

They only care about "free speech" as long as they're the ones speaking.

Censorship is alright when used against their enemies.

Also, Obama has the nerve to talk about increased violence.

Liberals are the ones committing all the violence!

Just ask Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA).

Whenever there's a riot, shooting, or a terrorist attack, the perpetrator is sure

to be a Left-wing sympathizer.

Obama's delusional.

He still can't accept he's no longer president.

He's flying around the world taking pot-shots at Trump trying to remain in the limelight.

Go away, Obama.

Your "warnings" fall on deaf ears.

We're too busy Making America Great Again!

Should Obama retire underneath a rock and disappear forever?

Please Share this news and tell us what you think!

Yeah, it was really a kind of nervous start for me.

I was, you know, not finding my range, not really moving the way

I like to move and the way I have been practicing, actually.

But she started well. You know, she started to hit a few

deep shots, and I felt like I didn't have enough on and didn't play my game.

I'm glad that in the second set, kind of just relaxed and tried

to play the way I want to play, not think about too much

what the score, anything like that, because it was kind of a long day

when we didn't know where we're gonna play, when we're gonna play.

So it was, yeah, not easy. But I'm very happy that the

last two sets I was able to do what I have been doing in practice. 12 00:00:48,250 -—> 00:00:51,750 It is unusual. You know, I had to be here the whole day

which is, for a new mom, is a little tough. Hopefully I won't play like this again.

You know, it is what it is. I just tried to,

you know, stay focused pretty much all day, but it's okay.

It was wonderful. The atmosphere was really nice, and,

you know, to see how much people welcome me is really actually

emotional to me. I'm very happy. But I'm glad I was able to play on the big court,

you know, feel that, you know, the atmosphere again with a lot

of people and bigger court. It feels really different from

practice court and only got a chance to hit for half an hour in Championships court.

The bounce is a little different, but it was really fun.

Why is there conflict in South Sudan? | Let's Talk | NPR - Duration: 1:43.

Just in 2011, South Sudan became

the world's newest nation.

South Sudanese people voted to split from Sudan

and the referendum ended the longest-running war

on the African continent.

Salva Kiir, from the Dinka tribe, won the presidency

and Riek Machar, a Nuer, became his vice president.

In 2013, however, Kiir accused Machar of planning a

coup and the country quickly descended into civil war.

And it has been brutal: food aid has been systematically

blocked, sparking famine in parts of the country.

Those fleeing say forces are killing indiscriminately,

often along tribal lines.

The conflict is so heated, South Sudan is now the

fastest-growing humanitarian crisis in the world.

It's also incredibly complicated.

In a country smaller than the state of Texas,

there are 60 tribes and many of their long-term

feuds have become part of the greater conflict.

One example: In a town called Wau, the Fertit

are farmers and the Dinka's are herders.

They've clashed over grazing land for decades.

Shortly after independence, the government

changed regional boundaries that made those

tensions worse … and at the same time fighting

erupted between the government and Nuer rebels.

Some of them fled into Fertit territory,

making the Fertit look like rebels, too.

The government took aim at the Fertits, who

then joined the rebellion... and a decades-old battle

about cows suddenly became a civil war

fueled by tribalism.

Now, multiply that a few dozen times and you'll have an

understanding of how complex the dynamics are in South Sudan.

Interview Nederlandse Waffen-SS veteraan - English subs - Duration: 14:45.

Loyal to your comrades, loyal to your people.

January 1940 I became 16, and in May the war began.

It happened unexpectedly.

German troops rolled through and everybody was outside, watching.

There was actually nothing going on.

They were stationed here in the village.

And they stayed here for months, and everybody knew them.

Or they were drinking beer with the people.

I had a Catholic education, every Sunday to church.

They preached about the godless communism in Russia.

And it was time for a crusade against them.

When the war began against Russia in 1941,

it became time for me and my comrades to join and fight.

How could you join the Waffen-SS?

There was a registration office in Almelo where you could sign up,

with signs "Sign up for the Waffen SS in the fight against communism!"

The unit of Wim leaves without him,

he is still waiting for the outcome of his final exam.

Once received, he leaves for Klagenfurt, and reports to the guard.

"What do you want?!", I said I need to report. "What for?!"

I said I have marching orders, then he took me along.

Then the training began.

PaK, mortars, carbine, machine gun, they taught us everything.

And you had to clean your weapons, after that you had inspection.

They checked your carbine, bayonet ...

Discipline!

It was one of the toughest training in the German army.

The Foreign Legion was easy compared to it.

And you also had ideological training?

Nonsense...not true. There was no time for that.

That is propaganda from the American FBI!

Wim is placed in the Wiking Division, regiment Westland.

These were mainly Dutch and Flemish men.

After 6 weeks of training it is time for the oath.

Then you were sworn to the Führer.

What do you remember of it?

It was fantastic! Entire battalions were being deployed.

And then they said "I swear...", followed by everyone

"I swear...!" Out loud!

"Loyal to the Führer and the fatherland!"

Loyal to your comrades, loyal to your people, to your race.

At the end of the summer of 1941, after 4 months of training,

Wim goes to the front.

Everything prepared, packed and ready,

we went to the front.

On the way to?

To Ukraine, Kharkov.

When we were near Kharkov we could hear artillery fire, machine guns...

So we went off the trucks, and pushed forward.

When Wim's regiment arrives at the Dnieper River,

it received orders to push through.

The Wehrmacht couldn't break through at the Dnieper.

The river looked like a sea, it was very wide.

Across the river the Soviets had engraved T-34 tanks.

At night we crossed the river and advanced to the enemy positions,

Bekker walked next to me, suddenly he falls to the ground

I turn around and I see he is death!

My best friend from Assen.

Wim's Wiking Division breaks through to Dnepropetrovsk.

At Dnepropetrovsk they showed us the cellars

after the Soviets were gone.

The Soviet secret police killed many citizens in all these cellars.

It was full of corpses. Killed by the NKVD.

What do you remember of the first contact with the Ukrainian people?

After the battle they showed up,

and they welcomed us like the Americans here in Holland.

With bread, everything. We were blessed!

We were talking, and suddenly we saw a group of people,

followed by a group of Ukrainian people with bats.

That were Jews who were expelled, by the Ukrainians.

And the Jews were beaten with bats!

The Untersturmführer said "Do not interfere."

From Kharkov we went to the Caucasus.

Endless sunflower fields.

And apricots, which grew there too.

After the summer of 1941, winter arrives.

The coldest in 150 years.

Wim's unit digs in west of the Mius River.

In the morning at 10 o'clock the Russians fired Stalin's organ at us till two in the afternoon.

Do you know what a Stalin organ is?

That are trucks loaded with rockets.

Six at the same time.

After two o'clock in the afternoon, it stopped.

And then we heard...

We heard thousands of voices!

We saw a cloud of soldiers coming at us,

in their gray uniforms.

We were ordered not to fire until the signal was given.

They were 500 meters away, damn!

400 meters! We had goose bumps!

Still no signal.

Then at 200 meters we fired our machine guns.

It was like we were cutting corn, they all fell down.

And they kept coming at us for 2 hours.

And then it became quiet...and evening.

You could hear the wounded Russian soldiers, shouting for their leaders.

Wim's unit is able to move on in the spring of 1942, near the Caucasus.

German troops have plant a swastika atop Mount Elbrus.

The German advance has halted at the Elbrus.

We just arrived without any good coverage.

We lost about half of our entire unit.

I have walked there for 5 days and nights,

through such high snow.

Unbelievable, I still dream of it.

Wim gets wounded twice on the Eastern Front.

He is being treated by an old-goalkeeper from the Dutch football team,

who sends him back to Holland, at Avegoor.

That was a big estate with a gym.

Fantastic, very nice place.

The floor was made of oak trees, delicious smell.

Wim is in Avegoor in the summer of 1944,

when the Allies begin with airborne landings.

He has to defend the bridge at Arnhem.

British troops came from Oosterbeek and tried to cross the bridge,

so we shot them down.

What did you think when you saw all the parachutists?

Shoot!

It took a day or eight...

And then I saw German helmets, finally, friendly troops!

Troops from the Division Frundsberg, from the direction of Winterswijk.

We held the bridge!

Beneath us was the Wasserschutzpolizei, Dutch men.

At Oosterbeek Landstorm Nederland, Wachbataillon at the Ginkelse heath.

So the failure of Market Garden was thanks due the Dutch volunteers!

I have said this many times, so I called De Jong.

Loe de Jong (journalist and historian)

I said "Your story is full of nonsense"

"You haven't said anything about Dutch troops at Arnhem"

He said "There were no Dutch troops at Arnhem!"

And he hangs up. He did not know what to say...

Wim is in the last weeks of the war in a school in Rotterdam.

We were accommodated in a school, and then came the capitulation.

At night, men of the Dutch resistance wanted us to surrender,

we said "Go away, that will cause trouble."

So they left.

Of the 750 men of our unit only 125 remained.

The others were captured or killed.

The capitulation took place...but we still took guard at the school with carbine.

Across the school I saw a group of people with a girl,

and we saw that she was humiliated by having their head shaved.

Terrible.

So I fired my rifle over the crowd.

And finally the Canadians arrived.

So we climb onto the trucks, with carbine between our legs.

Then we drove through Rotterdam, and all those people...

The war is over for only 3 weeks now, are they back together with the Canadians?!

You should see their faces!

They transported us to Scheveningen, after that to the Harskamp.

That was heath with barbed wire around it.

How many men was there?

I think 4000-5000 men.

All men from Dutch Waffen-SS divisions.

After a while the Canadians left and the Dutch Stoottroops took it over.

They came from Brabant.

They were real scumbags.

They were drunk and fired through the camp at night.

Many men hit and killed.

So we digged graves. I sat in a hole with three men.

We had camouflaged tarpaulins...

and we ate all the heath!

Later on we were send to Arnhem-Oosterbeek,

and we had to dig up all those killed Polish and British soldiers

who were buried there temporarily.

We dug them up...and then you found only an rotten arm.

So you had to dig up the soldiers you killed during Market Garden?

Probably, yes.

I spent three years and four months in custody.

Verdict?

Six and a half years.

A third reduction because I worked in the mines and good behavior,

so I was imprisoned for 3 years and 8 months.

Have we learned anything from history?

What did you say?

Have we learned anything from history?

Yes, the victor is always right.

Which is not you? We have lost...

prince charles son Prince William and Kate Middleton Ask for 1.3M Euros in Damages for

Topless Pictures.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are demanding damages of 1.3 million Euros ($2.175 million)

to be paid for the taking and selling of photographs of Kate Middleton topless on holiday in France.

The said topless photos of Kate Middleton were published in a French gossip magazine

Closer in 2012 after they got married.

Prince William claimed the publication of images of Kate sunbathing on holiday in the

south of France mirrored his late mothers battles with the paparazzi.

The royal couple spent the holiday at a chateau in the south of France, which was owned by

the second Earl Snowdon, then Viscount David Linley, son of the late Princess Margaret.

In connection with the alleged breach of privacy, Prince William expressed his sadness at the

incident over four years ago in a written statement read to a court in Nanterre, west

Paris.

Responsible of taking long-lens shots of the royals from a public road are Paris-based

agency photographers Cyril Moreau and Dominique Jacovides.

Other persons of interest are Closer's editor Laurence Pieau, chief executive of the Mondadori

group Ernesto Mauri, La Provence photographer Valerie Suau, and the paper's publishing director

at the time, Marc Auburtin.

The royal couples French barrister Jean Veil had made the request for a large amount

of money for the damages on the first day of a criminal trial in Nanterre, Paris.

According to Mr. Veil, Prince William and Kate Middleton had suffered massively from

repercussions following the use of the sneaky long-focus lens pictures.

He added that the royal couple deserved damages and compensation in addition to significant

fines dished out to the guilty parties.

The case of Prince William and Kate has been delayed for many months because the agency

photographers lawyer was granted more time to prepare their defense.

The six people on trial are charged with invasion of privacy and complicity, but deny causing

any damage.

DEAR EVAN HANSEN - For Forever Cover - adrawnangel - Duration: 5:02.

End of May or early June

this picture perfect afternoon we shared

Drive the winding country road

Grab a scoop at A la mode and then we're there

An open field that's framed with trees

we pick a spot and shoot the breeze

like buddies do

Quoting songs by our favorite bands

telling jokes no one understands except us two

and we talk and take in the view

All we see is sky for forever

we let the world pass by for forever

Feels like we could go on for forever this way

Two friends on a perfect day

We walk a while and talk about the things we'll do

when we get out of school

like the Appalachian trail

or write a book or learn to sail

wouldn't that be cool?

There's nothing that we can't discuss

like girls we wish would notice us but never do

He looks around and says to me

"There's nowhere else I'd rather be"

and I say "me too"

And we talk and take in the view

We just talk and take in the view

All we see is sky for forever

we let the world pass by for forever

Feels like we could go on for forever this way

This way

All we see is light for forever

'Cause the sun shines bright for forever

Life will be alright for forever

this way

Two friends on a perfect day

[Gonna mess this up lmao sorry]

And there he goes racing toward the tallest tree

from far across the yellow field I hear him calling

"follow me", yeah

There we go wondering how the world might look from

up so high

One foot after another

One branch then to another

I climb higher and higher

I climb 'til the entire sun

Shines on my face

Then I suddenly feel the branch give way

I'm on the ground

My arm goes numb

I look around

And I see him come to get me

He's come to get me

And everything's okay

All we see is sky for forever

We let the world pass by for forever

Buddy, you and I, for forever this way

This way

All we see is light

'Cause the sun (shines) burns bright

We could be alright for forever this way

Two friends

True friends

On a perfect day

Chauncey Billups reportedly pulls out of running for Cavaliers GM job

Chauncey Billups apparently isnt ready to leave television for an NBA front office job just yet. The ESPN analyst pulled out of the running for the Cleveland Cavaliers president of basketball operations job, ESPN reported Monday.

The report came a day after Billups told reporters he was still pondering an offer to replace David Griffin as the man in charge in Cleveland.

Ive always said that me running a team at some point is another one of my desires, so if this thing with Cleveland goes down, great.

If it doesnt, great, Billups said Sunday, via Sporting News, after making his BIG3 debut in Charlotte, N.C. At some point, Im going to do that and well see what happens after that..

Billups decision to play in the new 3-on-3 league Sunday after skipping the BIG3s rollout in New York the week before was seen by some as an indication that his interest in the Cavaliers job had cooled.

The 40-year-old was the only known candidate for the Cleveland opening. He previously interviewed for the Atlanta Hawks GM job that ultimately went to Travis Schlenk.

Generic Drug Prices are Going Up. In Some Cases, Way Up. - Duration: 2:44.

Want a great investment vehicle?

How about this – if you used $10,000 to buy 3000 Mesalamine enemas in 2008, you could

sell them today for $380,000.

Sure – your garage would look a bit strange, but you can't blink at that return.

Prescription drug prices are a frustrating little chunk of the economy that cause no

end of strife to patients and doctors, and even the occasional politician.

But generic drugs – they aren't a problem, right?

As Obi-Wan Kenobi so aptly put it, speaking, I think, of generic drugs:

"You were the chosen one".

But a new study, appearing in the Annals of Internal Medicine shows us that some generic

drug prices have been increasing.

And, more interestingly, it begins to suggest why.

Researchers from Harvard and the University of Florida pulled data from over 1 billion

prescriptions to figure out what patients and insurers were paying for generic drugs

from 2008 to 2013.

That billion prescriptions represented just over 1000 medications, whose prices were individually

tracked.

But what gives this study its real kick is that they determined how much competition

was in the market – in other words – how many generic manufacturers were making the

drug.

Want to take bets on how this worked out?

The average drug increased in price by 30% over the study period.

But be careful, this is complicated.

Some of those 1000 drugs have almost no market.

The average cost of a prescription went down by 14% over that period.

This is not necessarily good news.

Even if the average generic prescription cost went down, the spread was huge.

Some drug prices increased a lot.

What drove that increase?

In short, lack of competition.

The fewer manufacturers of a generic there were, the faster the price of that generic

rose.

This was true regardless of the starting price of the drug, though drugs that started off

cheaper tended to grow faster.

What you see in this graph is pretty clear.

Generic prices go up more when there are fewer producers of the generic.

Econ 101 stuff.

By the way, just under half of the drugs were in a duopoly or less competitive situation.

There are some fixes here.

The Office of Generic Drugs now grants expedited review to generics entering a market where

there is currently a monopoly present.

But they do not expedite review of drugs trying to break into a duopoly or other less-than-competitive

situations.

Reducing regulations is a nice conservative principle that would probably increase competition

and bring costs down.

On the liberal side, we could also allow importation of generics from places like Canada to keep

prices competitive.

Isn't it nice when both sides can agree on an issue?

Given the data laid out here, I'm sure we'll have a bipartisan drug-price-reducing bill

on the president's desk any day now.
