Triumph Boneville DIY universal forward controls – ep 33 p1 – Roma Custom Bike - Duration: 13:45.

In this episode we'll install a set of forward controls on this triumph motorcycle.

Hey folks, I'm Custom Cez for Roma Custom Bike and I welcome you back for this motorcycle

fabrication video: the installation of some custom forward controls on a Triumph boneville.

By the end of this project we'll have made this…

A custom support made from scratch that we'll use to install the forward controls…

While we are at it we'll move the original brake pump…

And we'll bleed and re-set the brake hydraulic system.

It will be a heck of a job, so stick around to the end!

As you can see we have already modified this bike quite a bit, starting from the lowering

of the seat and restyling of the entire tail of the bike.

My girl is right next to her to keep morals up before surgery.

Let's start by understanding exactly what we'll do:

What we have is a universal forward controls kit we bought a while back, but to make it

work we have to fabricate some sort of bracket that will position the foot pegs in the right

place.

We'll use these four bolts, set by the factory for "I don't know what", to connect

our structure to the frame and make it rigid enough.

I can visualize the project by gesturing but for you guys…

I've prepared some visual aid…

The factory brake control is here… but we want it here… so, along with it, we'll

also need to move the pump and the oil reservoir that here you can see in its original position.

The same on the other side, the shift control needs to go from here… to here.

Using only some round and flat stock and a bit of creativity you can achieve some pretty

amazing results, everything of course, in full Roma Custom Bike style.

Being this a quite elaborate project I've summoned the great Polsky Rage!

He's great welding and metal shaping skills will be extremely valuable for this project.

While I get to work removing the brake pump we'll need to relocate along with the lever…

Polsky Rage begins evaluating how to fabricate the plate that will support the entire structure.

After getting all the necessary measures he starts drilling the mounting holes on the

drill press.

He starts with a smaller drill bit and increases the size until he reaches the desired diameter

hole.

As soon as we put it on the bike to check the alignment we realize that it needs to

be further out not to interfere with the frames down tubes.

This piece of 10 centimeter stock is just the right thickness we need and its strong

enough to guaranty structural support.

A couple of spot weld will ensure they stay in place while we work on them.

Drilling through this thick stock is turning out to be a lot for my small drill press,

but Polsky has his own way to refrigerate the drill bit… nothing works better than

good old beer.

You never stop learning in life!!!

Now that we have a solid base to build on, we can start building what until now have

been only air sculpting and wishful thinking.

It's time to get this stuff done for real.

And it doesn't get any realer than 18 millimeters thick round stock and 8 millimeters thick

flat stock.

I think that even with the long reach we are going for the structure will be plenty strong.

After deciding how far out we want to place the controls, Polsky Rage cuts down the round

stock to size… and he welds them together.

He brought them already bent because in his work shop he has a bigger vise needed to bend

them at 90 degrees.

Not knowing how we would actually use them he left them long.

Now that we know a bit more about our structure he can cut them to size and weld them so to

form something like a letter C.

Those of you that have watched this series for a while know that in the shop we have

both a TIG and a MIG welder, but for this project be decided to go for stick welding

to prove that even with cheaper equipment you can achieve good results.

After a bit of cleanup of the welds the bars are ready.

I mark up the middle of both the bars… and the plate, so that we can align them together.

With the help of a big magnet and a level we make sure everything is in position to

spot weld it in place.

Pain is part of the fabrication process, how they say: "no pain, no gain" or "stop

burning my mother effing arm bro!"

Anyway… after the first tack weld we still have a bit of movement to play with and adjust

things before the next tacks.

The same process went into the second support.

Before continuing with the work I have some pretty amazing news to tell you.

Starting in September we will launch the new DIY web series called "Roland Master Maker".

With the valuable support of Roland DG Mid Europe that have given me free access to their

equipment, from the printers to the mills, and to their knowledge and support base, in

each episode I'll explore DIY manufacturing projects that span outside of the motorcycle

realm.

This will allow me to document projects of larger interest bat that retain that "Roma

Custom Bike" spirit.

So don't forget to subscribe and click the little bell so that you'll receive a notification

as soon as I'll post a new video.

Thank you Roland for this great opportunity and a special thank s goes to you guys for

helping me get to this point!

Now, let's get back to work.

Now that we have something tangible to look at I need to check if we are going the right

way or we need to adjust things around, so I jump on the bike and see if the position

is ok or if there is something in the way or reaching the foot pegs.

It seems ok.

We try to figure out how are we going to fabricate the surface onto witch the foot pegs will

bolt onto and Polsky Rage suggests we weld the plate between the upper and lower support

and then give it a diagonal cut to finish it off.

For the brake side we decided to use the plate to support both the control and the brake

pump, we just don't know how yet… hehehe

So, we take everything a part and we are right back into the shop.

To better execute Polsky's idea, He decides to remove the top support to weld the plates

in and there is nothing better than slow motion to watch a spark shower!

Very hypnotic guys!!!

But I'll tell you, welding in slow mo looks good too!

All right, that's it for the slow-mo brake!

Let's get back to work!

Polsky Rage begins welding the first plate.

The project itself is not that complex, but the difficulties arise when it comes to precision

and alignment.

So to make sure the result will be top notch, he checks the level of each piece many times

before welding.

Didn't I tell you that this guy's skills would have come in handy or what?

Once satisfied with how things are, Polsky cuts out the extra material and, using a grinder,

he shapes the cut so that it follows the curvature of the bend.

The same is done for the brake side with the exeption of the shape of the plate that will

need to hold the brake pump and the oil reservoir.

Polsky gets all artistic in this side too and shapes the plates to fit in with the contour

of the round stock.

Every detail is so important for the final result!

Even in a simple project attention to detail is what can really take it to the next level.

Now that the plates are in place we can weld back on the top C bar.

The double tube design is both for strength and rigidity and to match the double tube

design we did under the seat when we lowered it.

Once again: details.

They are important!

The structure finds its way back onto the bike and after drilling he hole for the actual

foot peg we try to figure out how are we going to secure the brake pump.

It has to be roughly here…

Initially we wanted to extend the plate to support the pump… but Polsky thinks it will

look better if we extended the round stock.

It will give it a cleaner look and it will place the pump in the right spot.

Once we made the decision the part is back in the shop for welding.

Easy peasy for the great Polsky Rage!

The beauty of post-production is that with a blink of an eye the part is back on the

bike and while Polsky works…

I sjow my level of maturity… hahaha We check the pump's position one more time

and we can finish it up.

Two screws welded directly on the fame will make the pump very easy to install and service.

We take some measurements because we are repurposing the original brake link but it needs to be

shortened and re threaded.

Everything is coming together and it seems to work good!

Good!

Now we need to find a spot for the oil reservoir and while our camera operator is busy taking

this astonishing floral time lapse, very beautiful, we have already figured out where and how

to put it.

But we can document the finishing touches.

Last assembly for the brake system,,, I hope, and everything seems to work.

Keyword "seems"…

But I have to say that we are kicking ass…

Polsky Rage is a true master of fabrication.

Now that the brake side is done we need to take care of the shifter side, but for that,

along with the painting and the finishing touches that include the bleeding of the brakes,

you'll have to wait for part two of this episode.

Too Good At Goodbyes - Sam Smith (PIANO COVER w/ Lyrics on Captions) - Duration: 3:45.

You must think that I'm stupid You must think that I'm a fool

You must think that I'm new to this But I have seen this all before

I'm never gonna let you close to me Even though you mean the most to me

'Cause every time I open up, it hurts So I'm never gonna get too close to you

Even when I mean the most to you In case you go and leave me in the dirt

Every time you hurt me, the less that I cry

And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry

And every time you walk out, the less I love you

Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true

I'm way too good at goodbyes (I'm way too good at goodbyes)

I'm way too good at goodbyes (I'm way too good at goodbyes)

I know you're thinking I'm heartless I know you're thinking I'm cold

I'm just protecting my innocence I'm just protecting my soul

I'm never gonna let you close to me Even though you mean the most to me

'Cause every time I open up, it hurts So I'm never gonna get too close to you

Even when I mean the most to you In case you go and leave me in the dirt

India's Bullet Train - Everything You MUST Know. Is India Ready? - Duration: 4:11.

Hey yo What is Up Beautiful People hope you Guys are having a Fantastic day

Let's Get straight Into the news. On 14th of September PM Narendra Modi along With Japanese

Counterpart Shinzo Abe a Laid The foundation of The Much Hype Ahmedabad mumbai High-speed bullet train Project

so Here's Everything you Need to know

Let's start off with the cost of the project. The project will cost India an estimated 1.1 Lakh crore rupees or

17 billion u.s dollars

and the bullet train is expected to make its first run on 15th of august

2022. The Japan International Cooperation Agency has agreed to fund

81% of the projects total cost through A 50 year Loan at 0.1% interest rate.

So how fast does the bullet train travel?the train will run at an average speed of

320 km/h and can Hit Maximum Speeds of Up to

350 km per hour. it is said that the train will cover the distance Between Mumbai and Ahmadabad in two hours And 58 minutes

if it halts At 10 stations. Currently The fastest train running in this Sector is the Duronto

Express Which Takes 6 Hours and 15 Minutes to reach Mumbai central from Ahmadabad running At a maximum speed of

130 Kilometers per hour. The train will cover 508 Kilometers and Nearly

92% of This Route Will be Elevated

6% Will Go Through Tunnels and The Remaining 2% Will be on land.

A 21 Kilometer Long Tunnel Will Be Dug Between Boisar and BKC in Mumbai with 7 kilometers of stretch under sea.

What is the technology behind the High-speed bullet train? The bullet train in India Will be based on Japan's Famed

Shinkansen Network Which is Known for its cutting-Edge technology and its Punctuality . The Shinkansen Uses an Automatic train Control

System and dedicated tracks hence trains running on the network are extremely punctual and have an Impeccable Safety record

Now for the most important question What's the ticket fare going to be?

It is said that the bullet train Will have Two categories of Seats

Executive and economy With The Tickets being in the range of 3,000 to 5,000 Rupees's. As PM Narendra modi Launched the ambitious bullet train Project

Insisting It Will Bring convenience and Safety, employment and Speed he was bombarded with criticism by friends and Foes alike.

The Main opposition Congress Called The Ahmadabad - Mumbai High-speed train an

Election bullet train Project Launched with an Eye on the upcoming Gujarat assembly polls.

BJP's allies Shiv sena said it might be a dream Project of Modi but not for the common Man.

so is India really ready for the bullet train?

Something That Really Bothers me is the state of the Ordinary trains we have in the country?

Last Month Alone Five Trains have come off the tracks in India, three on the same day.

The Accidents One of Which Killed 23 People Have Renewed Warnings that The Basic

infrastructure of One of The World's biggest Railway Networks is Dangerously underfunded.

In India The tracks are still Checked manually and The system is reliant on People

With One person having to cover up to Hundred and Hundred and Fifty Kilometers of tracks, which tells you that the

Technology is Way behind. A Report from Philipcapital found That It Would take 65 billion us dollars

Which is Equal to four Years off the Railways capital Budget Just to complete the projects Which are Currently pending

Being Farsighted is essential But Should We Take care of The Existing problems first

Well these are My Thoughts but i'd love

To hear What you Guys Think so hit me up in the comments down Below.

So with that we come to the end of this episode Guys iF you enjoyed It please don't forget to Slap a like and if you

Haven't Subscribed to the family yet please do subscribe also the other day we Hit a Hundred Subscribers.

so i'd personally like to thank each and Every one of You for being Part of the family, for supporting me

Thank you so much Guys It Wouldn't be possible without you and i hope you Guys continue this Journey with me

for a long time to go.

So, yeah i guess i'm going to wrap it up with that and i'll see you on the next episode till then it's Goodbye for me

you

Books I'm Taking To University! (2nd Year) [CC] - Duration: 9:54.

Hi everyone, it's Lily, and today I'm gonna be talking about the books that

I'm taking with me to university this year. So I'm about to go into my second

year of university and I have a lot to do. Basically I just have taken on probably

more than I can handle this year. Yeah, so I'm on a committee, I'm the

secretary for a committee and then I'm also a part-time officer for another

Society and then I'm also a student ambassador at my uni so like that's my

part-time job and then I also have like my uni work which actually counts

towards my final degree this year and it's gonna be stressful. So I don't

actually know how much reading I'm gonna get done at uni, I'm hoping to keep it up.

Quite a lot of the books I'm planning on taking with me are quite short so I'm

hoping I can still read them and I also am gonna talk about some of the

audiobooks that I'm taking with me to uni because I do listen to audiobooks a lot

more at uni than I do at home. I've gonna run through the audiobooks I

have on my phone currently that I may end up listening to at uni and then I'm

gonna run through the physical books I'm taking with me. Because I've been reading

about five books a month so far this year on average I was like I can take 15,

I'll give myself a maximum limit of 20 so of course I have 20 books picked out

because I have no control. That's only 20 physical books by the way that's not

even including my audiobooks so I don't think I'm getting it through all of

these this semester to be honest if I get through half of the physical books

that I have this semester it will be a miracle. I'll also be getting other books,

my birthday is this semester so I will be getting books probably on my birthday

so it's just... I don't know, I mean hopefully I couldn't fit all this in my

car who knows. So the first audiobook I have

downloaded on my phone that I haven't read yet that I may end up reading at

uni is Dreams from My Father by Barack Obama. I think I downloaded this in

February when I was just feeling sad about things. And I'd heard his books

were good so I thought why not and this is also narrated by him so I might end

up listening to that, I really like listening to non fiction particularly

when I'm at uni fo whatever reasons so I may end up listening to that one. I also

have downloaded Stardust by Neil Gaiman which is also read by Neil Gaiman and I

read like three hours of this and then I put it down for whatever reason, not cuz

I wasn't liking it but I dunno, I think it was around exam season and I was just

stressed and stopped listening to it for whatever reason.

I do intend on starting that again and reading it, it's quite a short one I

think it's less than seven hours so it shouldn't take me that long to get

through. Then I also have my audiobook of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

which will be the final book my Harry Potter audiobook reread. I've been

doing this for like a year, I'm very slow at rereading the Harry Potter audio

books but I do really enjoy them. I grew up listening to the audiobooks and so

they're very comforting to me and theyre things I don't have to concentrate too

much on because Stephen Fry's voice is so familiar to me and obviously the

story is very familiar to me. Then I also have Scarlet by Marissa Meyer which is

the second book in the Lunar Chronicles. I read Cinder I think in November last

year and I do intend on continuing with the series I know it's been like a year

since I read it but I think if I do continue with it it will be on audiobook. Then I

have The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee which is a

book I actually do physically own now however I just heard the audiobook was

really good and I'm not gonna take it with me to uni because it's heavy and so

I was like if I'm gonna read it this semester it will be on audiobook. I also

have four books on my wish list for audible which I will probably end up using my

credits on throughout the semester which I'm going to very quickly run through

because I won't talk about them at any other point anyway. The first is Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan Maguire. Which i think is again a short one, it's

only like four hours and it's narrated by Seanan and I do want to continue in

the series but I don't want to pay 13 pounds for the tiny hardback so I

thought I would get this on audio. And then Girls will be Girls by Emer O'Toole

which is nonfiction which I think looks at femininity. I've heard good things and

I really like reading nonfiction particularly about like gender and race

and stuff like that on audiobook so I've heard good things about this one so I

thought I might as well add it to my wishlist. Then that we have How Not to be

a Boy by Robert Webb which is a new ... I think it's very similar to The Gender

Games and that it's like examining this topic which is masculinity in this book

through his childhood. I've heard good things and it's narrated by him as well

so I thought I'd give it a go. And then the final one is Why I'm no onger

talking to white people about race, again I've just had really good things and I like

reading nonfiction on audiobook. So those are all my audiobooks that I may

or may not read throughout the semester at uni like I said I don't really know

how my readings gonna go down at uni. So I've organized my books into three piles,

we have my arcs that I'm taking, I'm only taking three which I thought was quite

restrained. Then it's my challenge books, so any books for my

diversity bingo or British books challenge that I have not read that I

would like to read by the end of the year and then also just books I plain

want to read. So like I said I'm only taking three arcs and I'll run through those

quickly first. The first one is The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli. This

one is out in October so I thought I would take it with me to uni and read it

at the end of September or the beginning of October around its release date. Then I

thought I would take The City of Brass by S.A Chakraborty. This isn't actually

out until I think March next year in the UK but it is out in November this year

in the US so I'd quite like to read it before that. And then it was a toss-up

between this book and The Hazel Wood but I realized like the other two were very

fantasy and I didn't really have a lot of contemporary that I was bringing with

me to uni so I decided to bring this one instead. And that is The Exact Opposite

of Okay by Laura Steven which is a book that is very feminist and talks a

lot about slut-shaming I believe and I just thought it'd be good to take

something a little bit different with me to uni. Okay so next I'm gonna run

through the challenge books that I'm taking so these are books that fulfill

either my British books challenge, my diversity bingo challenge or both. The

first one of those is The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri which is a book I actually

meant to read this summer and just kind of forgot to get to. This fulfills the

challenge of an Indian main character for diversity bingo and also counts

towards my British books challenge We then have Chasing the Stars by Malorie

Blackman which also counts towards my British books challenge and also counts

for a person of color in a sci-fi or fantasy novel. And then again similar to

The Exact Opposite of Okay I realised I really didn't have a lot of contemporary

on my list and I do like reading contemporary so I have The Upside of

Unrequited by Becky Albertalli. This could actually count towards two

diversity bingo challenges I believe I think it can either count for Jewish

main character or it can count for underrepresented body type. The next one

is the last of my books that can count towards my British books challenge, I'm

taking three with me, I am one behind at the moment I hope to read one before I

go to uni and that is Refugee Boy by Benjamin Zephaniah. It could also count for

an immigrant or refugee main character for diversity bingo. We then have The

Bone Sparrow by Zana Frallion, this counts in diversity bingo towards displaced main

character. We then have History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera and I've been

meaning to read Adam Silvera like all year and I just haven't done it yet and

I believe this can count towards diversity bingo for main character

with an invisible disability because I believe the main character in this has

OCD, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it counts. The next one is The

Round House by Louise Erdrich which counts for

indigenous main character and again I've been meaning to read this all year and I

just haven't got to yet so I'm hoping if I take it with me to uni it will finally

get read. And then finally a book that I've literally, I've picked it up before

this year, I've been meaning to read all yeah and I just haven't yet and that is

Under the Udala Trees by Chinelo Okparanta and this can count

for diversity bingo towards lgbtqia+ character of color. And then we have the

books that I just plain want to take with me. So the first of those is Kindred

by Octavia Butler which I've been excited about ever since I got it. And

this is about time travel I believe a woman ... a black women living in San

Francisco I think in the 60s or 70s ends up time-traveling against kind of

her own will back to the 1800s in the south where slavery still existed and I've

heard that this is just fantastic. Then we have The Power by Naomi Alderman

which I picked up I think when it was shortlisted for the Bailey's but it

hadn't won yet it has now since won the Bailey's prize so I'm definitely very

interested in this and I've heard this is like a very plot driven book which I

feel like will be good I'm gonna need some fast paced books at uni. I then

realized that my of pile of books for uni was severely lacking in the F/F

department and so I decided to take The Abyss Surrounds Us by Emily Skrutskie

which i think is a sci-fi book and again I kind of just know it's sci-fi and I

know it has an F/F relationship but that's, that's all I need to know really.

We then have Exit West by Mohsin Hamid which is a book that I've been

interested in like all year and I got it recently. And again this is a very short

one so it's one I can see myself reading quite quickly

at uni and I believe that this is a Fabulist novel, it's like adult literary

slash fabulism so that sounds right up my street. I then we have Strange the

Dreamer by Laini Taylor which, I like, I've just heard so much about this book that

sounds like I will really love it. So I decided to get it and it's a bit of

a chunky one but I figure like maybe if there's another round of tome topple or

something I can get to this. We then have Human Acts by Han Kang which is an

adult literary novel again this is tiny this is like just over 200 pages and I

believe that this is about an uprising in South Korea in the 1980s which just

sounds really interesting and is about a part of the world that I've never read

about before. Another book that has been on my TBR for ages and I've been

meaning to read for ages, and that is Only Ever Yours by Louise O'Neill. Again I

think I've tried to start this but I just wasn't in the mood at the time. This

is a dystopian novel which I haven't read Dystopian in ages but I do like

reading the genre from time to time and I believe this is also quite feminist.

We then have two sequels that I've been meaning to get to but just haven't

yet for whatever reason and the first one is Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab.

I read This Savage Song over a year ago now, really enjoyed it, don't know I

haven't read this yet. And then the final book I'm gonna mention today is A Closed

and Common Orbit by Becky chambers. A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet was my favorite

book of last year. I've heard that this isn't as good but I've still heard good

things about it so like why haven't I read it? I don't know. I really, I really

couldn't tell you. So yeah guys, those are all the books that I'm planning on

taking with me to uni and potentially reading. I feel like I've got a nice

variety of books and hopefully I can make at least a dent in some of these

books over the course of the semester. If you're going to university this year

then good luck particularly if it's your first time good luck enjoy it. And if

you're not at University I hope you are just enjoying whatever you are doing at

the moment. I hope you guys are having a lovely day wherever you are and I will see you

soon in another video. Bye guys!

'I'm not sorry': Killer's cold confession - Duration: 7:07.

'I'm not sorry': Killer's cold confession

Whether youre a killer, pokies billionaire or poacher, you live life in the face of judgment. But what if "do-gooders" swapped places with these people who seem so immoral?.

A new podcast puts people in the shoes of those deemed to be bad and attempts to feel empathy for people whose side of the story is not often heard.

The ABC podcast How Do You Sleep, hosted my Sarah McVeigh, gets inside the head of a killer named Charlie, who stabbed two men to death in Brisbane in 1994.

"These chummy blokes I was drinking with, found out they were homosexuals and one was — I thought it was all a joke — f***ing hittin' on to me and I've just f***ing exploded and f***ing stabbed the c**t in the guts a few times.

Charlie was released from prison 11 years ago. Picture: How Do You Sleep podcast/ABCSource:ABC. Charlie is covered in tattoos, some of the ink is even mixed with his own urine so it would take better to his skin.

He was part of a neo-nazi gang called the "Sick Boys" and he has two tear drops under his eye to show his number of victims. One night in 1994, Charlie attended the Alliance Hotel in Brisbane.

The pub is unrecognisable to Charlie now, but he remembers the night well.

He went to the hotel to "silence" a man who was going to testify against one of Charlie's gang brothers. But when Charlie realised he was in a gay bar, he lost it.

"Automatically I exploded and said 'get the f*** out of my bar you f***ing pooftas'," he told the podcast. He then met two men at the bar and stabbed one of them for hitting on him.

After the man was rushed to hospital, he stayed at the bar, finished his frothing Victoria Bitter and walked out.

The victim did not instantly die and was later able to give evidence. The victim said he asked Charlie if he was gay, and he claimed to be bisexual.

He said Charlie asked him for sex, but the victim refused and made Charlie angry. Later that night Charlie stabbed and killed another man because he was "filthy". "That was sheer stupidity, I was just in a f***ing rage," he said.

Charlie appears on podcast How Do You Sleep. Picture: How Do You Sleep podcast/ABCSource:ABC. In 1996 Charlie was sentenced and was never to be released from jail. He swore at the judge and even the victim's family.

"It didn't matter who the f*** was there, I was just dirty because they'd beaten me," he said.

Charlie ended up being released from prison 11 years ago due to a head injury he had sustained before the murders. He was hit with an axe during a fight with a rival gang.

He said he is now reformed, but he hasn't apologised for the crime. "Why be sorry? It happened, you can't take it back," he said.

Charlie claims he can't remember the names of his victims and said "they'd be in a file somewhere" and he doesn't think about the families who lost their loved ones.

"All my mates who are lifers for violent crimes, they don't either. They know it's wrong, but you can't take back anything. They're gone," he said.

"You know you have extinguished someone's life and you get to live on. As I say, it's s*** that happened.".

Charlie stabbed and killed two people. Picture: How Do You Sleep podcast/ABCSource:ABC. UNDERSTANDING RIGHT AND WRONG. "It's incredibly confronting to speak to someone who has done something so horrific," podcast host Sarah McVeigh told news. com.

"He's been through the criminal justice system, he went to jail, served time for double manslaughter. I had questions about what do we want remorse to look like, reform to look like? These people existed in our community.

"It was confronting for me to find the layers of complexity and know I'm never going to truly understand how he got to that point.

"He has a background of mental health problems, alcohol and drug abuse, a head injury, which was a significant factor in his sentencing. All of those things are incredibly confronting.

"It's uncomfortable — he isn't a storybook and this is not a Hollywood story of redemption where he is a completely different person.

"He was in a gang and has now renounced all his views, but he won't say sorry, because, he says, what good does sorry do? It doesn't take back what he's done.

Sarah McVeigh hosts How Do You Sleep podcast. McVeigh said while that was true, it was cold. "He says all he can do is use the time he has going forward. There's nothing he can do about the past," she said.

McVeigh created the podcast to get people thinking about the world from other people's perspectives before we judge them.

"Some of the episodes, you might come out having the same perspective as you went in. I said to abortion clinic protesters I think women should have the right.

They were being honest with me about their perspective. I still believe that now, but I understand why they are there and do what they do and it helps me have a bit more compassion for them.

That's the intended outcome, to have a bit of empathy," she said. "People were really eager to talk. They live their lives in the face of judgment and people feel incredibly judged and want the opportunity to explain their perspective.".

Is Jamie Dimon Right? Fraud?! Full Breakdown. - Duration: 14:47.

Hello everyone.

My name is Nick, the host of Sobuka.

On this channel I cover cryptocurrency news taken place in the southern half of the world.

The whole talk of the town is still on this recent Jamie Dimon interview that was given

on CNBC earlier this week.

I think a lot of YouTubers were frankly just overacting on how he brought the price of

Bitcoin down.

I looked at the interview several times as being even bullish for Bitcoin and altogether

cryptocurrencies when you carefully try to analyze this video from a logical, critical-thinking

perspective.

And quite honestly, I think critical thinking is slowly missing from this cryptocurrency

market.

But I digress.

It is hard to read and understand very smart people from face value like Jamie Dimon.

To read and understand, you have to know what exactly it is they are doing with the company

and businesses that they are trying to run.

Here is a guy that manages billions of dollars or if you keep up with the conspiracy community,

that is trillions of dollars worth of derivatives.

No matter what side you are on, like or hate Dimon, the guy is a genius in terms of expertise.

I am going to critique this whole entire 2 minute video by trying to put myself on both

sides of the Bitcoin debate.

And by no means, I am not siding with Dimon and all of my subscribers out there know that

I like Bitcoin, but I am simply playing devil's advocate a bit in the cryptocurrency social

media space as a way to try and provide a constructive balance.

And disclaimer this is just my opinion and not financial advice.

I always say on my channel to please consult a financial advisor before you invest in these

instruments.

Jamie Dimon.

Coin is to Currency as Token is to Technology

Jamie Dimon: "..Separate blockchain which is a technology... from Bitcoin a currency...

and now there are multiple currencies, and I am not talking

about Bitcoin per-se…

I'm talking about currencies...and I'm not saying go short."

**Sobuka Analysis: ** So here is the deal.

I am going to mention where I disagree with Dimon and try to make sense about this statement

and this one is not really major.

He is a guy who tries to keep up with everything.

He is not living night and day like us analyzing and breathing Bitcoin 24/7.

So for his knowledge about the industry compared to all the financial CEOs out there that I

know, he truly gets an A+.

Most financial CEOs are fairly not that knowledgeable when it comes to cryptocurrencies.

So what I want to clarify from this segment is that Bitcoin is both blockchain technology

and currency.

He is however right by saying Bitcoin is a "currency".

It is technically coined with the word "digital currency" anyway.

I personally do not like to call Bitcoin just currency.

That's just my personal opinion.

I would say it behaves like one.

When you call something a currency, to me it should have an official government stamp

of approval in my opinion.

For example, there was a recent rumor that Australia was trying to make Bitcoin a currency.

If that ever happened to Bitcoin, then it becomes a currency whether anyone likes it

or not.

I think in this cryptocurrency space, we tend to confuse these terms altogether.

Maybe putting something like the word "official" into the word "currency" may help distinguish

between an official currency and a digital concurrency.

I'd like to leave it as "digital currency" or more appropriate "cryptocurrency" until

the language is transformed by officialdom entirely.

Following that, what upsets countries is when something other than their own fiat currency

like the Yuan, comes into their space and is slapped with the word currency.

That just undermines the official government currency at the end of the day.

Jamie Dimon.

Difference Between Bitcoin and Ethereum

Jamie Dimon: "and I am not talking about Bitcoin per-se..

I'm talking about currencies..."

Sobuka Analysis: Okay so for people who are not aware, Jamie Dimon heads J.P. Morgan.

This is basically the world's #1 most respected bank by a "majority" of people.

There are currently 800+ cryptocurrencies that include Bitcoin that are listed on exchanges.

Bitcoin holds the #1 place.

Guess who holds the #2 place?

Yes, J.P. Morgan and partners.

His company is in a group called the Ethereum Alliance which is made up of several Fortune

500 companies that also include banks and various institutions.

So when Dimon mentions currencies (and this is my own personal opinion), you have cryptos

that want to behave as physical currencies.

These type of cryptos, we refer to them as coins in this space.

The other set of cryptos are referred to as tokens.

I think Dimon is trying to set a strong clear distinction between currencies like Bitcoin

and tokens like Ethereum.

Further on his interview, we will see him kind of joke about Bitcoin's use case by

sliding in North Korea into the short conversation.

(That joke is kind of humorous towards a certain audience).

However, I want to mention that there is no mention about Ethereum in this segment of

the interview.

A person as smart as Dimon would know that trying to bring down the price of Bitcoin

would also bring down the price of Ethereum, at least short-term since Bitcoin is the big

gorilla that every ape follows in the cryptocurrency market, up or down those charts.

There might be some type of weird manipulation going on here, but I am not going to try and

play the role of conspiracy theorist.

Let's just stay with analyzing the language.

However, I'll definitely keep my eye out on Ethereum and whatever is currently being

built on the Ethereum platform as opposed to cryptos that are associated as simply "coin."

Jamie Dimon.

Bitcoin can Reach $100,000 Before Going Down.

Jamie Dimon: "I'm not saying go short...

Bitcoin could go to $100,000 before it goes down and this is not advice on what you should

do.."

Sobuka Analysis: I think some people might translate this as trading advice, but it's

not trading advice.

That is the smart thing about Dimon.

This entire interview can be translated in so many different ways.

Whether you want to go long or short Bitcoin this statement says it's your choice.

Up until the past 2 weeks, going short Bitcoin was a bad idea until this week with the whole

China news.

At least short-term Dimon is eating up some of his words since Bitcoin is down more than

33% since its high of $5,000.

Consequently as Bitcoin goes down for now, so does Ethereum!

But this also could be inside talk.

Keep in mind J.P. Morgan traders are pretty smart people next to Goldman Sachs.

Whether me or you like or hate them is totally irrelevant.

Both companies hire only the best people.

Also like all famous personalities in the cryptocurrency space, Dimon throws out Bitcoin

possibly going up to $100,000 before it goes back down.

We do not know if he means go back to 0 or where Bitcoin was trading for the last 3 years

at the $200.00 price range.

However, the statement he used later on in the interview was describing Bitcoin as the

tulip bubble.

So obviously Dimon thinks Bitcoin will go down regardless of how high it gets whether

$10,000 or $100,000.

Keep in mind, his statement is clearly an opinion, and price predictions at the end

of the day are nothing more than predictions.

Also keep in mind that Bitcoin is a competitor with all the other cryptocurrencies whether

they are coins or tokens.

Since J.P. Morgan is affiliated with the Ethereum Alliance, like any sensible business owner

their goal is to knock off competitors such as Bitcoin and have companies design and build

on their platform though they are two totally separate, distinct technologies as explained

above.

Jamie Dimon.

My Daughter Holds Bitcoin.

My Traders Don't!

Jamie Dimon: My daughter bought some Bitcoin…and it went up...she thinks she is a genius now...but

it's like the tulip bulb crisis or whatever...

Sobuka Analysis: With that statement, whether Jamie Dimon likes or dislike Bitcoin, he clearly

respects it.

And I think as parents, if you have a child that bought something at a great deal, you

would obviously be proud of your child.

This statement should be analyzed some more.

For example, think about going to a dinner party and talking about your daughter or niece

to friends in public about what they did.

This is similar to what Jamie Dimon is doing.

It's almost bragging like "look at how smart my daughter is compared to your daughter."

If you guys have someone of similar significance that looks up to you like a niece or daughter,

you will not try to brand that little person with something bad.

That automatically puts you in a bad light.

In a dinner party, you'd rather say, "My daughter is doing great in school" rather

than "My daughter causes trouble in school."

What type of image would the latter show as bragging rights.

Therefore Dimon's statement shows some respect for Bitcoin, and obviously he's very proud

of his daughter by observing his body language and gesture.

This statement also has interesting implications.

Whether his daughter is 10 years old or 100 years old makes no difference to me.

Saying a statement like that should make one think.

If you were a parent and really hated something about your kids, would you ever mention such

a statement in public?

This statement sticks out as if "Dimon's kids can own Bitcoin," then "Maybe it's

okay for me to buy Bitcoin."

On the flip side of this statement, he later called out his own traders saying that if

they were found to trade Bitcoin, they'd be fired.

This language could have many meanings as there are different types of traders.

Buying Bitcoin and trading Bitcoins are two completely separate things.

So this language requires more more media follow-up as to exactly what type of trades

his traders would like to do with Bitcoin.

It could be day-trade, swing trade, buy and hold, or whatever flavor is already out there

so who knows?!

But sounds like his kids are simply holders since his daughter has obviously gained a

lot as well.

So maybe his traders need to be as brilliant as his daughter and switch their trading pattern

to just "buy and hold" Bitcoin?!

(Follow the clues people...)

Bitcoin.

Jamie Dimon is Mostly Right About Currencies Here.

Jamie Dimon: "...here's the reason...government from what they like to do is create a currency...they

like to control the currency..they controlled through a central bank...they also like to

know who has it...where it is...where it's going...and you just saw what China is doing

by closing down its Bitcoin exchanges and when all I ever said is that Bitcoin...the

bigger these things get..the more governments right now look at as a novelty like in Washington

where they love technology...wait until someone gets hurt...wait until it's used for illicit

purposes... which is somewhat useful purposes...they close it down…"

Sobuka Analysis:Personally speaking….like or hate this guy, this is why I give him an

A+.

It's like he's being reading my misspelled Steemit articles!

If you talk to most CEOs in the financial sector, they know nothing compared to Dimon

about the political implications of blockchain technology.

Dimon's statement is correct with respect to exchanges being banned in China with the

exception of Hong Kong.

He is also trying to hint that the same things happening in China may occur in other places

like the United States.

I honestly think comparing China cryptocurrency addiction to the rest of the world is like

trying to draw similarities between a heroin addict and a coffee drinker.

So much FUD comes out of China and the feeling or consensus from people in the cryptocurrency

space is in agreement that the China ICO ban was a good idea.

And also there is growing support for the exchanges in China being suspended/banned

as a good idea as well!

At this point, the crypto community consensus is that everyone is quite simply tired of

dealing with China and the government trying to put tougher regulations on the statewide

ICO situation and exchange situation is an overall good thing for Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency

industry!

Jamie Dimon is Mostly Right Again About Bitcoin.

Jamie Dimon: "that's my point... so it's not you can argue ...there's analysts...

there's a good reason for it if you were in Venezuela or Ecuador or North Korea...

you're better off probably using Bitcoin than using their currency... that can't

possibly be true in the United States unless you are speculating and that isn't the reason

to say that it has value because other people are speculating and that's tulip and that's

what I was saying... so I don't think and also like I said the other reason to close

down is because use for illicit purposes and so there's just not a real thing and eventually

"emptied out/closed (sounds-like but not sure)."

Sobuka Analysis: That ends the 2 minute interview.

I think Jamie Dimon will run for office one day.

No BS!

Not sure what position, but he will run for something.

This whole interview is politician "speak" and balance between Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies

either succeeding or failing.

So he says Bitcoin is good for certain places like Venezuela and Ecuador which in fact is

true from all the news Bitcoin analysts are receiving from those regions daily, and what

I have been reporting here on this channel as well.

But I am not sure why he mentioned North Korea.

But nonetheless, he is not wrong by stating North Korea!

The only thing I know about North Korea is that there was a suspected Bitcoin miner or

someone mining Bitcoin in that country.

And there has been news of North Koreans leading the Bitcoin ransomware attacks.

But all this news are distractions that we have to keep in mind right now since everyone

hates North Korea.

In any case, with the un-favor-ability towards Bitcoin within the mainstream media, it seems

like all these three countries would eventually make a new future "Axis of Evil" list.

The last part Dimon says is how there is no real use case for Bitcoin as its pure speculation

in other parts of the world.

I have to agree with Dimon on this one.

There is way too many speculators in Bitcoin right now that surpass the population of people

in Venezuela and Ecuador actually using it.

Yes, Bitcoin can be used to make purchases in other parts of the world, but most people

are holding it in hopes that it becomes valuable, hence why he's coining it as"tulip"

crisis.

"It is what it is" ..guys.

But on the flip side, the same thing can be said for gold.

Is that tulip as well?!

But gold is on a slower pace as compared to any assets.

Most people are not using their Bitcoin to buy a cup of coffee in the United States at

their local Starbucks.

One would have to be crazy to do that.

Majority of people are just holders or traders.

Dimon is also right about saying that Bitcoin has been used for illicit activities.

That is a fact!

He thinks it will eventually lead to exchanges being closed down such as in China.

I do not know what type of illegal activities have been occurring in China and even with

their neighbor North Korea with respect to Bitcoin.

Who the hell knows?!

But to stay balanced on the subject on illicit activities, you do have mainstream media siding

against Bitcoin, and I just think the reason is the newsworthiness of Bitcoin.

But if we compare Bitcoin to the US dollar, I can definitely expect that the US dollar

is by far used in most illicit and illegal activities based on simple math.

It's the world's backed currency and there are trillions of dollars circulating everywhere.

However, I believe that with KYC and AML laws slowly being incorporated into Bitcoin purchases

and exchanges, being able to detect illicit Bitcoin activities would be as simple as detecting

credit card fraud.

To conclude we still live in a capitalistic society.

Dimon and JPMorgan have clients that they have to protect.

Bitcoin and all the other coins that are acting as currencies are just competition and a threat.

But I also think Dimon is trying to play both sides, and it's been done very well in this

interview...at least to very keen people able to read between the b..R..ea.ks in this short

2 minute interview.

Personal Market Synopsis As the volatility and unpredictability in

cryptocurrencies subside due to the China shutdown, which I think is frankly great for

all cryptocurrencies, I will be watching closely to see if Ethereum will start to decouple

away from Bitcoin's future price action.

Remember that Ethereum is J.P. Morgan's favorite child.

And unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum is not a coin used to act as a currency.

It's strictly a token with perceived value.

The China market brought too much questionable selloffs for all cryptocurrencies whenever

there was panic selling in Bitcoin.

I would think this made Ethereum investors concerned.

But what do I know...I have been reporting these same events for the past several months

here on Sobuka.

Ok.

Have a great day everyone!
