Hey what's up everyone, it's Derek from Nerd or Die and I'm proud to introduce OMNI - a
stream package that works with multiple streaming and alert platforms, and also allows you to
customize everything - including languages used throughout the design.
This package was designed with Destiny 2 in mind, but will work for a multitude of games.
In this video I'm going to show you how to use this product and customize it to your
preferences.
Let's get right into it.
OMNI is our latest premium item on the Nerd or Die shop, but, we did decide to allow you
to create your own Twitch panels at no cost.
The package includes animated alerts and scenes, as well as an overlay that you can tweak to
your channel's needs.
All items can be customized via our online tools and do not require the use of Photoshop
or image editing software.
However, if you want to get up and running quickly, we've included premade designs
for each item as well.
We're really proud of this item, and you enjoy things like this, let us know, because
we'd like to make this the standard for our new products.
It will work with most streaming software, such as OBS Studio and XSplit, and can be
used with Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Mixer and more!
Please use the timestamps in the description below to navigate to the part of the product
you'd like to set up.
After you purchase and download the product, make sure to extract it onto your computer.
I recommend opening up the ReadMe file that is included with the package and going through
it.
It will always be the most up to date source of information and contains instructions for
each part of this item.

Animated Alerts
Let's first take a look at the animated alerts.
These alerts fully support both StreamLabs and Muxy.
There's two ways to set up each service.
You can import our premade alerts with a few clicks, or you can use the online tool to
customize the alert to your liking.
StreamLabs
For StreamLabs, let's first import the premade alerts.
Open the folder for your item and then go into the Preset Designs > Alerts folder.
Let's click the StreamLabs link.
If you need to, log into your StreamLabs account.
We'll be presented with the option to import these alerts to our current alert profiles,
or the option to create a new profile.
Let's click create and then name the profile OMNI Alerts.
Next, let's click "Use" to import the alerts into our new profile.
Once this is done, you can go into the alertbox tab and add in custom sounds, images or icons,
and adjust text-to-speech options.
Let's copy the Widget URL and add it into our stream software via a browser source.
Set the width to 1920, and the height to at least 600, remember, you can always scale
down these if needed.
Go ahead and test the alerts to make sure they're working properly.
Customizing Alerts
Now that we have the preset alerts installed, let's take a look at how we can further
customize these items.
In the ReadMe file you can find a link to our online alert tool.
In the expandable areas most of the options are pretty straight forward, they'll allow
you to change colors, size of the font used, and even the amount of time the alert pauses
for.
At the bottom, you'll find updated information about setting up the alerts for both StreamLabs
and Muxy.
Let's take a look at a look at the Text Content section briefly.
This is where you can set up the text templates that your alerts use.
If you've used StreamLabs or Muxy before, this should be a familiar process.
Basically, you can use curly braces plus some text to designate dynamic data that will be
put into your alerts.
For example {name} in curly braces will be replaced with the username of the person involved
in the alert for both StreamLabs and Muxy.
I've included a helpful guide of the template tags to use above.
So, let's say we want to change the top portion to support cheers for Twitch, we can
change the Top Text section to "{amount} bits" This will then show the amount of
bits cheered, and the word bits after for each alert.
It's up to you how you'd like to word each alert, what information you want included,
and what language you'd like to use.
When done customizing, use this radio selector to choose StreamLabs or Muxy.
Enter in your unique key, which is included in the key.txt file that you've downloaded
form the store.
Now, click the "Copy alert code to clipboard" button.
If for some reason this button isn't working, click below to show the code you'll need
customize your alert.
Let's go into StreamLabs and navigate to our new alert profile, then to the bits section.
Scroll down to the "Enable Custom HTML/CSS" and make sure this is enabled.
Let's right click inside the box and hit "Select All" and then delete all the code
in here so far.
Now, let's paste in our new code.
Make sure that your alert duration is at least 12 seconds, it might need to be more depending
on if you changed the pause time of the alert.
You can use sounds and text-to-speech as normal.
In the images section, if you'd like to have an icon show up during the alert, you
can upload your own image.
We've actually included a bunch of premade icons in the Preset Designs > Icons folder.
If you want to customize an icon or image to use, you use our tool to recolor and preview
an image you upload.
So, I'll just change this to a blue and download the icon.
Next, I'll upload it to StreamLabs like normal - and it will be put into the alert.
When you're all finished, hit "Save Settings" at the bottom, and test your new alert.
For alert variations, you can basically repeat this process.
I should note that animated GIFs will work properly with this alert.
So, you could actually use the preset bit animations in this case, or any animated GIF
that you desire.
Muxy
If you skipped to this section, make sure you review the Customizing Alerts.
Importing is as easy as ever, with the "Copy alerts and start editing" option.
I recommend first importing the alerts, making the changes as needed via our online tool,
selecting Muxy before copying the alert code, and then replacing ALL the HTML for the alert
you'd like to use.
Again, your sounds, text-to-speech, and images can be updated as normal.
For more information on each alert type please refer to the ReadMe and instructions in each
online tool.
Overlays
Let's go ahead and move onto setting up your overlay.
If you'd like to use the preset design for overlay, you will just need to add a browser
source into OBS Studio, and browse for the file found in the Preset Designs > Overlays
folder.
You'll notice a few files here.
Basically, there's two parts of this overlay.
A webcam frame and supporter section.
Let's add in the camera_frame_wide file in and give it a width of 711 and height of
420.
These recommended dimensions can be found in the ReadMe file.
Next, we can add in a support section in a similar way, let's select the supporter_overlay_right,
which is a right aligned design.
For this, we're going to use a width of 558 and height of 420.
Looking at this file you might want different wording, colors, or spacing.
So, let's open up the overlay creator.
We can click the link in the ReadMe, or use the navigation button in the alert creator.
You'll see that you can choose to make a camera frame or supporter section at the top.
For this example let's choose supporter section.
You can change the layout by choosing a left or right alignment, as well as sizing and
spacing.
Most importantly, in the sections area you can add or remove new sections to this design.
This will allow you to change the wording or language used on your overlay quickly and
easily.
Feel free to change your colors as needed.
One cool feature is the use of gradients for the background here.
This first color, Gradient From, currently has an opacity of 0, making it see thru, sort
of fading it away.
If we raise the opacity up, we can see that we can choose a color that the gradient comes
from and goes to.
Playing around with this can give you some interesting and unique results.
Once you're done tweaking all your settings - enter in your product download key, and
then download this file.
It is extremely important that after you download this file, you move it into the Custom Designs
> Overlays folder.
If it is not in this folder, it will not function properly.
Once you've moved it into the proper location, we can go back into OBS Studio and replace
our old supporter section with the new one we created, stored in the Custom Designs > Overlays
folder.
Repeat this process with the webcam frame if needed.
Remember to place the downloaded file in the correct folder.
Before we move on, I'd like to share how to install the font we used for this design,
to use when you import you text files from StreamLabs StreamLabels or the Muxy ticker.
In the ReadMe and click the link to get to the font we used in this design.
Click "Select this font", then click the black bar towards the bottom, then the download
button.
You will need to unzip and then install this font by double clicking the files.
Scenes
The next part of this package is the scenes.
Let's quickly set up a new scene inside of OBS Studio and call it intro.
Next, let's add in a browser source and browse to Preset Designs > Scenes and select
the starting file.
Add it as 1920 width and 1080 height.
This is a very simple base design.
You'll be able to add your name in via an OBS text source here, but with our custom
design, which I'll show you in just a second, you can have your name imported directly.
Also, you can add any video file or image file into OBS Studio and place it behind this
source.
The scene source is transparent, allowing you to place gameplay or looping footage,
or image of your choice behind it and having it show through.
You can even get creative and add in custom logos into the mix if you'd like.
Anyways, let's go back into the ReadMe and open up the Scene creator tool.
Again, you can use the navigation in the top left as well to jump around between other
creators.
The general options contain the text that is displayed in your scene, so change as needed.
You can adjust the countdown timer, or even disable it here as well.
The other options are pretty straight forward, allowing you to choose shapes, colors and
sizes of different aspects of the designs.
In the shape colors section, I want to point out that each color selector has an opacity
slider.
This will allow you to hide certain shapes if you'd like.
Let's say you don't like the triangles that are in the top left and bottom right
corners, you can simply drop their opacity all the way down to hide them.
After you're done choosing colors shapes, sizes, and text, enter in your download key,
pick a name for your file, and download the file.
Again, it is very important that you move this downloaded file into the Custom Designs
> Scenes folder, otherwise it will not function properly.
Once the file is in the proper location, you can add it in via OBS Studio and be good to
go!
Panel Maker
The panel maker is completely free to use for everyone!
Change out your text and colors as needed.
A lot of the shapes and accent colors have their own opacity sliders, in the Shapes > Transparency
section.
So, if you don't like something, drop these sliders down to 0 and they'll be hidden!
A cool feature of this is also the upload custom icon section.
We did our best to include as many relevant icons as we could, but we wanted you to be
able to upload your own logo, or any icons we might have missed.
If possible, i recommend using icons sized down to around 60 by 60 pixels wide for best
results.
Big icons uploaded can sometimes cause some slightly jagged edges.
Anyways, just click inside the box or drag your icon into it to use it in your panel
design.
Once you've finalized all your colors and design, hit download, and your file will be
ready to use.
You'll just need to upload these to your channel's page.
Summary
Myself and Tehkhop put a lot of work into this design and the tools to customize it.
We hope thi makes your streaming lives easier and allows you to make more unique designs
than ever before.
