Youtube daily report Apr 7 2018

I was thinking: am I gonna make a video in Paris?

Yes, no, yes.

I'm an athlete, that should be my priority.

So maybe I shouldn't do it.

But I actually enjoy doing it.

So am I gonna make a video?

You ask me? I think you already said it.

Okay! I'm gonna make a video.

Here we go!

Off to Paris, ladies and gentlemen!

So you don't wanna film this, huh?

Explain it to the people.

The last time..

We left and halfway I realized I had forgotten my flip-flops.

So today I thought: Don't forget my flip-flops!

So this time I forgot my jacket...

We were almost at Papendal already.

I'm so happy with you, thanks.

You're welcome!

How is the view?

It's nice.

We can see the Eiffeltower!

For real, look!

Course preview in Saint-Quentin

I think I'm pretty quiet.

And when think are going well I get enthusiastic.

But today just didn't go great.

I can start talking about how great it was, but it just wasn't.

It is what it is.

*This sentence doesn't make any sense in English*

We're gonna make the best of it tomorrow.

A little summary of what we're doing before we're riding.

Absolutely nothing.

Checking the internet, that's it.

So yeah, nothing.

Like Sjinkie Knegt would say:

You want me to say it?

You can say it Jay.

You have to be really good at doing nothing.

I like riding at night.

It's cool to ride under the light.

But a day is pretty long like this.

We rode at night.

During dinner-time.

So you try to eat a little bit during the races.

So after the final, I think I had to throw up like 5 times.

So, here it is.

Delicious.

But it was all worth it.

Just had doping-control, it like 10:30 at the moment.

Let's get some food, another day tomorrow.

My 2nd world cup win ever.

Man, I look so tired.

What time is it?

11PM.

Just finished dinner.

But glad we don't have to race tomorrow.

Oh wait.

Day 2, off to the track!

I already excited to race for the fact that I can race with the red plate today.

I hope for you that you will get the red plate.

Otherwise I'll take a marker and make it red.

There it is!

I'm gonna put it under my pillow tonight.

Yep, weekend is over.

What did you say? Bad weekend?

Yeah, terrible.

No, I don't think I ever had a better weekend.

Won yesterday.

Hoped to do it again today.

But 2 guys went faster in the main.

1st and 3rd.

And I think I only made 2 podiums ever, before this weekend.

And now I had 2 in 1 weekend.

So, great!

Jay said something in the last video, I think I can said it better with my accent from the east:

There's a time to come.

And a time to leave.

And the time to leave.

Has come.

Mitchel Schotman will be proud.

Thanks for watching!

Nima Elbagir - Uncovering Libya's Modern Slave Trade | The Daily Show - Duration: 6:58.

Please welcome CNN's senior international correspondent,

Nima Elbagir.

(cheering and applause)

Welcome to the show.

Thank you so much.

Your story that broke on CNN

about the slave trade in Africa

was one that was truly one of the most shocking stories

most people had ever heard.

Slavery in 2018,

is it as widespread as it seems to be?

Is it something that people should be

as worried as they are?

In Libya, yes.

And I think that this is something

we're still trying to piece together.

We're still working to understand this.

And what is extraordinary is that the slavery

-is part and parcel of their business model. -Right.

You want to go to Europe.

You have been sold on this dream of Europe.

And they send out-- almost like advertising campaigns--

people into these communities.

These young kids, 17, 18, 19, "we can get you to Europe.

"You don't have the money? We will give you the money.

-We will loan you the money." -Wow.

So it's indentured servitude built into it.

That's the Nigerian or the Eritrean aspect,

the different source countries.

When you get to Libya, then they say,

"Well, actually, how much did you pay?

"No. It is thousands more.

And this is how you're going to pay if off."

And a lot of these people are then, uh, held as, uh,

you know, they-they're kidnapped by the slave traders.

Their families have to pay a ransom.

How is it that the story doesn't seem to filter back to everyone

that is trying to find their way to a better life?

Is it that people don't believe it?

Or is it just th-there is no network in the countries

to warn people of the slave trade?

I think it's a combination of the fact

that human optimism has no limits.

-People presume this isn't gonna happen to me. -Right.

And also, that they are coming from

the most horrifying environments.

The poverty, uh,

the repression in countries like Eritrea,

the war in the west of Sudan, where I'm from in Darfur,

-and anything looks better than that. -Right.

When you look at the people who are traveling

across to these countries,

oftentimes, people don't seem to express

as much sympathy for them, because they go like,

"Well, they're trying to sneak into another country,

"or they're, you know, they're trying to get there.

They're trying to smuggle themselves in."

You take issue with that term, "smuggling." Why?

I do, because especially when

you hear the term, "economic migrant."

There's this real sense that they're kind of trying to,

to lay that down, "economic migrant."

Like people are kind of wandering onto a plane,

dragging their carry-ons behind them.

"Here we are. We're economically migrating."

They're being trafficked.

And smuggling legally and trafficking,

they're very difficult to kind of disentangle.

But when you-- as I was in that little clip you showed--

when you are told that part of your journey,

sexual abuse, and rape and exploitation,

is part of that journey, that's trafficking.

And therefore, when people call it "economic migration,"

they're choosing to step back and not act.

When you were...

creating that story,

when you were reporting on that, you went undercover

-Yeah. -as a would-be migrant trying to work her way through

to see how it all goes down.

That must have been a terrifying experience.

Did it give you a larger understanding

of what women are going through in Africa

as they try to make their way to these European countries?

Yeah, because in the moment, I think...

Of course, I know intellectually

that, first of all, I'm not alone.

-I had my amazing producer Lillian Leposo with me, -Right.

and we had... we had a backup plan.

-You know, we had, you know, a cordon, in a sense. -Right.

But in that moment, when that man was so close...

And I'd spent about 45 minutes in a car with him...

(exhales) It just...

I mean, it's-it's ridiculous,

but it's horrible to even think about it.

You know, him kind of squeezed against me.

-The intimidation. -Right.

And he looked down, and he saw my wedding ring,

and he said to me, "Are you married?"

And I said, "Yes." And he said,

"That doesn't exist anymore. Not on this journey."

And it was... it was a tiny glimpse

into what these kids,

these 17, 18, 19-year-old girls...

How must it feel for them?

When you look at responsibility,

is there a reason it's happening in Libya specifically?

Why is that the hotbed of the slave trade right now?

Because you have entire communities,

entire towns-- for example, like Sabha,

which is the main thoroughfare into Libya

down in the southeast.

That is under the control of militias and criminal gangs.

-Right. -You have no government footprint

far out beyond Tripoli,

and you have competing power bases.

And I remember President Obama,

at the end of his administration

he said that he believed Libya was one of the biggest mistakes

because there was no effective intervention.

And this is what a lack of it--

effective intervention-- looks like.

-Right. -A failed state.

You... I-It is a dilemma for many people.

I-I always wondered

how the people of Libya feel about it.

Because at the time, the story was liberation.

Muammar Gaddafi has been killed.

The country is free.

And then you look at Libya now,

and it's descended into a world

where there is literally a slave trade.

Do people now look back and-and wish on a time

-when Muammar Gaddafi was in power? -Yeah.

Amazingly, they do.

There is this extraordinary nostalgia

for Gaddafi and his rule

-because there's a nostalgia for stability. -Right.

Because their hope was that...

And, you know, obviously it's incredibly naive to believe

that any country would want to put boots on the ground

-post the Iraq experience. -Right. Right.

But there was a sense that there would at least be some kind

-of stabilization effort. -Right.

And that didn't happen.

And so people are kind of looking back and saying,

"Well, when was the last time we were stable?

Oh. It was under Gaddafi."

Wow, that's a scary place to be in.

For people who see these stories on this side of the world...

I mean, after your report came out,

people were hashtagging.

Many of us felt helpless because you are.

Is there anything that a person on this side of the world can do

to help in any way with the situation?

Well, I mean, we are honestly just so incredibly grateful

that you, you know, you've had me on tonight.

Because as long as we keep reminding people

that this is still happening...

Because I think at the time, everybody heard all this noise.

-Right. -And we all thought,

"Well, something, someone, somewhere--

"I don't know who it is,

-but someone is doing something, goddamn it." -Right.

-But, of course, no one was. -Wow.

The Security Council met four times,

and they still haven't...

they still haven't found an effective way through this.

But I think if we keep reminding them that we care,

then I think ultimately they will be forced to do something.

Thank you so much for being on the show.

Thank you so much for having me.

Most MYSTERIOUS Secret Discoveries! - Duration: 11:13.

From a skeleton inside a statue, to a King buried beneath a parking lot, here are 10

Amazing Secret Discoveries….

10.

Roman Sword

Oak Island, in Nova Scotia, has long been suspected to be the hiding place for a number

of treasures.

The legend is so convincing that even a young Franklin Roosevelt was part of a quest to

discover what was buried within the ground.

Despite people dedicating their lives to the search for historical objects, and devoting

vast resources to try and find what is thought to be the lost treasure of the Templar's,

or even pirate hoards dug deep inside a hole that everyone keeps trying to visit, no one

has come forward to announce a find.

After a period of inactivity, in recent years the search for treasure has intensified, and

is the subject of a History Channel show.

Even though they haven't found what they were directly looking for, they have found

some unexpected artefacts- one of which was an ancient Roman sword.

If it had been found in Europe, that wouldn't be such a surprise, but the fact that it was

found in Canada raises questions about everything we know about the Romans.

Did they, contrary to previous belief, actually make it across the Atlantic to North America?

With the sword dating back to 200 BC, that would mean they arrived more than 800 years

before the Vikings, who are currently the first people thought to have made the first

contact between the old world and the new world.

This sword discovery could have changed history as we know it.

9.

King Richard III

King Richard the third of England ruled between 1483 and 1485.

Despite such a short time on the throne, he was responsible for a number of famous stories,

such as the supposed murder of his nephews, the princes in the tower of London, and he

was also the last English King to die in battle.

He was killed at Bosworth field, during the War of the Roses, but no one was ever sure

what happened to his remains.

In August 2012, researchers from the University of Leicester began a quest to find his grave,

and they found it in a surprising place.

After discovering that he had been buried in a medieval monastic site, they looked at

the historic map and found that the grave had now been covered by a parking lot.

Permission was granted to excavate the site, and sure enough, they found his remains along

with those of a number of other soldiers.

His remains were removed and laid to rest, in 2015, in Leicester Cathedral- a far more

fitting location for such an influential member of the royal family.

8.

18th Century Ship at the WTC

In 2010, with the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack approaching, an astonishing discovery

was found at the site of ground zero- in what was to become the parking garage of the new

World Trade Center.

Builders started digging up pieces of old timber, and archaeologists were called in

to assess what it was.

It turned out to be the remains of an old ship, but how did it get there?

The answer was down to how the area was used hundreds of years ago.

At that time Lower Manhattan's western shore was much further in, and the site was used

as an anchorage in the Hudson river.

It's thought that the remains are of a Hudson River sloop, which was a type of merchant

vessel that would have carried resources and people up and down the river and the coast.

It seems to have been deliberately sunk, though, so some believe it was actually a British

ship that carried troops during the revolutionary war.

7.

700-Year-Old Mummy

When workers in the Chinese city of Taizhou, in the Jiangsu province, were charting nearby

land for the expansion of a road, the last thing they would have expected to find was

a 700-year-old mummy.

Wrapped in silk and cotton, she was perfectly preserved, and is thought to have been a high

ranking member of the Ming dynasty who ruled China between 1368 and 1644.

She was found, along with two other wooden tombs, about 6 and a half feet beneath the

ground, and gives a clear insight into how people lived back then.

Her body was wrapped and surrounded by a brown liquid, and she was buried with ceramics,

writings, and relics.

Her features, including her skin, hair, eyelashes and face, show little sign of deterioration

and she was adorned with a variety of jewels.

It's not actually unusual to find mummies in the region, as it was a common burial technique

during the Ming dynasty.

Still, though, it was certainly a surprise for the construction workers.

6.

Mayan Murals

You might usually associate the discovery of Mayan artefacts with the jungle regions

of Latin America, but for one Guatemalan family their discovery was much closer to home- or,

to be more precise, inside it.

The Ramirez family were embarking on a renovation project in their kitchen, so they started

peeling back all the layers of paint and plaster that were on the walls.

When Mr. Ramirez reached the earliest layer, he found a series of Mayan murals dating back

hundreds of years.

One of them depicts people wearing Maya and Spanish dress, with some holding human hearts

in their hands.

The entire piece shows a conquest dance, something that is still performed to depict the Spanish

invasion, and the Maya conversion to Christianity.

Lots of home's in the area date back to a similar time to this one, so archaeologists

hope they'll have the chance to see behind the walls in other properties and potentially

learn a lot more about their culture.

5.

A Medieval Hospital

Barely a shopping center or high street can exist these days without an Apple store nearby,

and with such rapid expansion of their presence, a lot of building work is required.

For one new store in Madrid, though, things didn't go entirely as planned.

When the construction crew dug into the ground to begin work on the foundations of the Apple

Store, they discovered brickwork.

Further investigation found that it was the remains of a medieval hospital that was used

to treat victims of the plague that infected people across Europe in the 1400's.

The hospital had been demolished in 1854 and built over- lost to the annals of history.

It's not the first time a long lost building has been found in the region.

Four years earlier, a church was discovered on a neighbouring site which was being turned

into a metro station.

Development there was halted for 10 months while officials decided what to do.

They decided to install a glass panel over the ruins so that commuters could see the

ruins as they walk to the platform.

If you are visiting Madrid soon, be sure to go check it out!!

4.

Banwell Caves

The Banwell Caves are a mysterious site in the south west of England.

They are made up of 2 caves, the first of which was discovered in 1757.

Known as the stalactite cave, it is full of the geological structures, and soon became

a tourist attraction when it was opened in 1824.

The biggest surprise was yet to come, though, and, while digging a new access tunnel to

make it easier for people to see the stalactites, a second cave was found- this time full of

bones.

The bone cave is a large cavern about 40 feet across and 20 feet tall.

The floor has been partially excavated and is covered in hundreds of animal bones, which

are also stacked at the side.

They come from bison, reindeer, cave bears, and wolves that lived in the Pleistocene era,

about 80,000 years ago.

It's not entirely clear how so many bones came to be here, but there are 2 main theories.

The first is that a hole above the cave was used as a pitfall trap, which would provide

an easier and safer way for people from back in time to capture the animals.

Another theory, and the most widely accepted, is that the bones were washed into the cave

by water being released during the end of the last ice age.

Either way, it's pretty creepy huh?

3.

Catherine de Medici's Hairpin

Catherine de Medici was the queen consort of France between 1547 and 1559.

She was known across Europe for her love of lavish jewellery, but most of her collection

has disappeared in the past centuries through being sold, lost, or stolen.

Any objects of hers that are found are sure to be worth a substantial sum, and they have

been known to appear in the most unlikely of places.

In 2012, archaeologists were excavating the Henry IV courtyard at Fontainebleau Palace

near Paris.

While they were digging away at what used to be a communal toilet, something glimmered

in the light.

It was a 3.5 inch pin clearly having belonged to Catherine because of its interlocking C's,

and the finish of white and green, which were her colours.

It was totally unexpected to find a possession of hers in such a place, as opposed to somewhere

more "Royal", and it could suggest that she lived a very different life to what the

history books would lead us to believe.

What the heck was her hairpin doing there??

2.

Buddha Statue

At some point during the latter half of the 20th Century, a Dutch art collector bought

a Buddha statue that caught his eye.

It was only when he took it for restoration work in the 90's that he would find out

the dark history of this ancient artefact.

The restorers noticed there was something inside, and to their shock they realised that

it was a human body.

They weren't able to remove the remains without destroying the statue, so there they

remained.

In recent years, technology has progressed to a point where scans can be taken of what's

inside, and it's astonishing.

There's the body of a mummified monk, about 1,000 years old, who's sitting in the lotus

position- and he's been perfectly preserved.

Possibly the most shocking thing about this was that the monk had mummified himself, which

was a far more common practise than you would think.

He is thought to have reduced the amount he ate and drank in his last few weeks until

falling into a trance.

Others would have put him by a fire to help dry him out and, once he died, he was put

on display.

It seems that at some point they decided to help preserve him further by encasing him

within the statue of Buddha- something that is far more unusual, as this is the only known

example.

Who was this monk?

And why was he encased within the statue of Buddha?

1.

Picasso's "Blue Period" Masterpiece

Canvasses are one of the greatest expenses for artists, especially since they can only

be used once, and it's a problem artist have been experiencing throughout history.

To overcome this, it was quite usual for them to be re-used, with older paintings being

covered up and then painted on again.

Now there is modern scanning technology, especially to be able to determine if an artwork is real

or fake, it's now possible to see underneath he top layers of paint.

Occasionally, something extraordinary is found.

This is what happened recently when researchers from the NorthWestern University were conducting

a project that looked at the works of Picasso.

By using a technique called x-ray fluorescence, they found that one of his "Blue Period"

masterpieces, called "La Miséreuse Accroupie", which translates as "The Crouching Beggar",

was actually painted on top of work by a completely different artist.

The older painting was a landscape, and he even used what was once a cliff top as the

line of the cloaked woman's back!

As more and more paintings are looked at in closer detail, a lot more can be understood

about how the artistic greats worked, and opens up the possibility that pieces that

have been created by less accomplished artists could be covering up something far more important

and valuable.

Why Is Saffron So Expensive? - Duration: 4:55.

- [Narrator] This is saffron,

and just one pound of it can cost you $5,000.

It's easily the world's most expensive spice.

The next most expensive spice?

Vanilla at about $600 a pound.

So, what makes saffron so wildly expensive?

For starters, saffron is a complicated spice to harvest.

Saffron comes from the Saffron Crocus flower,

and each flower has three red stigmas.

That's the saffron.

Just one pound of saffron requires 170,000 flowers.

The purple flowers bloom over a six week period

from late September to early December.

There's also a specific time of day to harvest them.

90% of the world's saffron is grown

in arid fields in Iran.

But harvesting all that saffron comes at a price.

Most saffron harvesters are women

getting paid a maximum of five dollars a day.

Saffron is not only grown in Iran,

it's grown in Morocco, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands,

Afghanistan, India, and even in the United States.

Why the US?

Though many Americans have never eaten saffron,

the US imported 25 tons in 2013 and 46 tons in 2016.

- What's so great about saffron?

Over centuries, it's proven useful in many situations.

Saffron is most commonly used in cooking.

- It gives paella its signature flavor and golden color.

It's also used in broths, breads, and marinades.

When saffron is broken down, it creates a golden dye.

- People have tried passing tumeric, red marigold petals,

and lily flower stigmas as saffron.

But the flavor and dye is totally different.

In large quantities, saffron can be a potent,

happiness-inducing narcotic.

And research suggests it may help reduce the symptoms for

Alzheimer's, depression, and PMS.

Who knew this little spice packed such a punch?

COWARDLY Dem Just Viciously Assaulted Terrified Girl Over Message On Her Shirt – 'Scarred For Life' - Duration: 5:00.

COWARDLY Dem Just Viciously Assaulted Terrified Girl Over Message On Her Shirt – 'Scarred

For Life'

A Democrat councilwoman from the Great State of Texas has now been charged with a misdemeanor

for screaming at a teenage girl for using her right to voice her own opinion by wearing

a "Make America Great Again" t-shirt as she waited in line to buy cookies.

This is truly sickening and if she were a Conservative, then politicians would be asking

her to step down immediately.

More on this unfortunate incident via IJR: "A tall, short-haired blond woman came up

to them and screamed, 'Grab em by the (expletive) girls," the father told KPRC.

"Then, she yells it again!

At that point the girls were getting kind of scared, and then the woman starts, you

know, going, 'MAGA!

MAGA!

MAGA!' while shaking her fist."

"They were scared," he added.

"They were absolutely scared.

My little girl essentially wanted to know if this woman was going to hurt her."

On Burke's Twitter account, she identifies herself as a volunteer for the gun control

group, Moms Demand Action, of which she was the Texas chapter leader."

The girl's father later confirmed to Click to Houston that West University Place Councilwoman

Kellye Burke started to scream at his daughter and that although they tried to laugh it off

the councilwoman continued her attack on the teen girl.

He also stressed that the girl was scared since she wasn't sure if the Democrat politician

was going to hurt her.

The councilwoman later released a condescending apology for her sickening actions:

"I have repeatedly apologized for the bad judgment I used and making the statement I

did, but I do not believe repeating the words of the President of the United States is a

crime," Burke said in a statement.

"However, I will apologize again on behalf of myself, the President of the United States

and all the media outlets who repeated his words both electronically and in print."

What kind of an apology is that?

The father of the girl said he and his daughter accept her apology but would like to let the

voters decide on the best way to handle this matter.

The West U mayor issued the following statement on this matter via Click to Houston:

"Thank you for reaching out about the city's position on one of its councilmember's actions

last Saturday.

The reported comments definitely do not speak for the City of West University Place's

government or employees.

My position as Mayor, however, does not afford me any official authority with respect to

matters such as this.

Neither the city council nor the Mayor has any authority to remove fellow councilmembers.

"I am glad to know that this councilmember, who was independently elected by our city

voters, is taking responsibility for her own actions and has reached out to the affected

families to apologize for her remarks.

"This incident is a reminder that part of our responsibility, as elected officials,

is to set a good example of civil discourse for those we represent, particularly our young

people.

I hope that my Council colleagues and I will move forward in that spirit in doing the work

we were elected to do."

Isn't it about damn time the left stop this garbage?

When us on the right lost everything to Barack Hussein Obama back in 2008 we got together,

worked hard, and made sure we could stop the socialist president by means of getting people

on our side elected, not by attacking people.

We didn't go around insulting little kids nor did we become mentally unhinged as so

many on the left are today.

There is no reason to resort to these tactics and it's about time the left learned there

are consequences to people's actions, and to elections.

The left put up a woman in 2016 who no one wanted and who is crooked as can be, then

they wonder why a man who had never held public office came out of nowhere and beat her?

Maybe they do need mental help.

"Who is Kellye Burke?

Burke was elected to West U's city council in May 2017.

A biography on the city's website describes Burke as a native Texan, who has lived in

West U for over a decade.

Burke's Twitter profile also lists her as a volunteer for a group called Moms Demand

Action For Gun Sense in America.

At one point, Burke served as Texas chapter leader for the organization, according to

reports.

Burke released a statement through her attorney Thursday.

It reads:

"I have repeatedly apologized for the bad judgment I used and making the statement I

did, but I do not believe repeating the words of the President of the United States is a

crime.

However, I will apologize again on behalf of myself, the President of the United States

and all the media outlets who repeated his words both electronically and in print."

what do you think about this?

Stationery & Pen Haul! (w/Demos) | Bullet Journal & Calligraphy - Duration: 7:17.

Hi everyone, I hope you're having a lovely day.

I have a few new additions to my stationery and pen collection that I am so happy to share

with you!

It won't be a detailed review but more like an overview!

This is not a sponsored video and all opinions are my own.

And since I love giveaways, I am partnering with jetpens to host one for you so stay tuned

for more information about that, what you can win, and how to enter!

I'll also have all of the links, supplies I'll share with you today and all other goodies

down in the description so please be sure to check that out when you can!

The first new addition which you've probably seen in my recent videos is this Pental Orenz

0.5 mechanical pencil.

It is thin, easy to handle, and has a little eraser under the cap.

I don't use the eraser because I love my kneaded eraser which I talk about in my last supplies

video, so check that out if you want to see my current art and journaling supplies.

But I love this pencil so much that it has become my main sketching tool.

Next is this metallic gold uniball signo gel pen.

I'm not a big fan of the gold color because it's more green than bronze but it does write

very smoothly and has a nice shine to it.

Continuing with the metallics, are these STA metallic brush pens.

They are acid-free and waterbased, so they don't bleed through the pages.

I was so surprised by them because they look uncomfortable to hold but they write so smoothly

and show up vibrantly.

The white pen is simply magical, it takes a little time for the pigment to show up,

but this is the first time I've seen a water-based, white brush pen where I can do hand lettering

that is not a paint marker.

If you know of another one, please share it with me!

Moving on to the Zebra Dual tip mildliners.

This is the first time trying these out and they are good if you want to add subtle color

behind your fine liners.

The dual tip is a bonus if you want to write with them as well, but so far I haven't used them too much.

Next I have the Zig Kuretake Fudebiyori brush pens.

These are water based, very smooth, and do not bleed through the pages.

They are not dual tip, but if you want to use them for hand-lettering than they are

perfect.

And then I have the Tombow dual tip brush pens which come in a pack of 10 and this is

the portrait palette.

They are also water based, very smooth, and don't bleed.

I normally don't use color in my bullet journal but since I've gotten the Zig and Tombows

I am fighting the urge to collect more colors!

The Tombow pack does come with a blender pen which creates a smooth transition from color

to color, so you can really be creative with these.

This ink brush pen by ohuhu is very cool.

My first thought was that it would be the same as a any other black brush pen but it

is not.

It's more comparable to using a traditional brush and ink.

It comes in a nice case with three ink cartridges and a pump to use ink from a bottle.

I switched out the ink pump to an ink cartridge to test out the brush and I love texture.

This will definitely be good for practicing hand lettering or even drawing.

Now we have the Pental aquash Watercolor brush pens.

I've been wanting to try these brushes for a while especially because I want to start

painting in public.

So from my very brief research on these, you would fill the tub with water and squeeze

it to control the water flow.

They should be self cleaning, so you don't need a water bowl when you're painting.

But that also depends on how you paint.

I'll have to learn more about these later and then I can share some watercolor techniques

for you!

Moving on to more budget friendly watercolor brush pens by ohuhu which come in a pack of

6 different sizes.

At first they don't look as quality as the Pental but they are just as good.

They are shaped differently than the Pental so it comes down to preference.

Finally we have the Kuretake Starry Colors metallic gold palette.

They are vibrant and very smooth.

I also have the Fentec gold palette and these are similar.

Let me know if you want a full comparison because they are at different price points.

Now for the giveaway!

There will actually be two giveaways, one in partnership with jetpens who have so kindly

sent me some of these supplies and they will be sending one lucky winner the same set.

You'll receive 4 Zebra mildliners, 3 Zig brush pens, a gold uniball signo gel pen, Pental

Orenz mechanical pencil, Pental watercolor brush pen, and the Kuratake Starry Colors

watercolor palette.

The second giveaway since I'm so thankful to all of you is from my store Blush & May.

You'll receive a whole set of all of my sticker designs plus the three new designs I have

up including these cute bunny ones!

So you'll get 11 sticker sheets in total all wrapped up in love with a personal note from me.

To enter, click the giveaway links below, and yes you can enter both of them, it'll

then take you to this form.

Fill out the information and then you'll have the chance to earn more entries by doing the

actions on the list.

You must be subscribed to my YouTube channel or following me on Instagram to win.

JetPens giveaway is open to those in the U.S only but the Blush & May sticker giveaway

is open internationally.

Contest ends May 18th and the winners will be announced on May 20th at the giveaway link

and on my instagram.

Be sure to check back to the contest page daily to earn even more chances to win everyday.

If you haven't already, connect with me on instagram!

I'll be posting bits of my progress for the Craft show and more information about

it if you want to come meet me!

I am so nervous but I really hope I can pull this off and that's why I've kinda been MIA!

Thank you so much for all of your kind words and encouragement!

I am sending lots of love back and I'll see you next time, bye!

How a Zen Buddhist Master Rejected Me... [SHORT FILM] - 禅宗佛教大师拒绝我 Zen Buddhism - Duration: 8:00.

This is my story of trying to persuade a Zen Buddhist Master to share his secrets.

Things have changed since I recorded this so make sure to stick round to the end of

the video to see what happens.

I'm in China at the moment and for the last 4 months my Master, Master Gu, and I have

been sharing Daoist philosophy here on YouTube.

Taoism is awesome and I've heard Zen or Chan Buddhism, the main form of buddhism in

China and Japan, is also awesome.

Now, I've found out about a little secret.

There's a Zen Buddhist Kung Fu Monastery in the South of China that accepts foreigners.

So here's the plan, go there, learn some buddhism from the master, share it with you

and do some kung fu backflips.

Sounds cool right?

The only thing is I'm just turning up and I'm not sure what the master will think

about the camera but I guess we'll find out.

wow it's incredible here, it's a legit buddhist monastery.

ok this is the room, no electricity but surprisingly comfortable bed - even if it is a bit noisy.

ok the shufu's not here, I'll start the training and ask him when he gets here.

so the shifu arrived yesterday, after each meal he comes and sits on this tree.

slowly all the monks and guests join him, they ask him questions or meditate.

it's a special experience.

he radiates an amazing energy.

I'm meditating with him and joining in the chanting and I'll pop the question tomorrow.

ok, today's the big day, it shouldn't be a big deal I'm only asking him if he

wants to share some Buddhist wisdom with you but still.

I'm tempted to film it, it would be pretty awesome footage wouldn't it? but it wouldn't

be very respectful… so I'll fill you in what happens.

so I went to his study he was sitting crosslegged in a big chair but he had guests.

I asked him if I could talk to him and he said later when we are meditating.

so, so far so good.

after dinner, I sat down by the meditation tree but shifu was nowhere to be found.

I sat there trying to meditate but actually thinking about what I was going to say to

him.

one by one the other monks left, eventually it was just me.

1 hour passed.

at this point, I wasn't too sure if he had just forgotten or if this was a challenge

straight out of Karate Kid so I just kept sitting.

My back and hips were absolutely killing me but I kept at it.

I sat there for two hours, until it got dark and - yea sorry to burst your kung fu bubble

but - he didn't come.

he must have been busy or something.

although my back was burning the process was enjoyable just for the anticipation that a

Zen Master would eventually come and give me his blessing.

Just had breakfast.

We had the conversation.

Bare in mind I've only been learning Chinese 5 month but I'll re-enact it for you.

"shifu, my chinese name is, I am a disciple of sang feng pai. me and my master share daoism

videos. this has helped many people.

would it be possible for us to talk about buddhism?

He then said something along the lines of "when it is time to eat, you eat. when it

is time for kung fu, you kung fu. when you sit, you sit.

whatever you do, you do that and only that.

he didn't need to say anything more, I knew the conversation was over…

I asked one of the monks why the master didn't want to talk.

he said only those who are destined to meet the master can receive his wisdom.

I'm not too sure about that argument, what about those who can't afford to come to

china?

I've heard that Zen can be pretty cryptic.

But anyway since the master won't speak to you and I've already done quite a bit

of reading in preparation for our conversation, I'll try to explain what the master meant.

Western society tells us that we need to learn lots and work hard for the good of all.

And sure, the efforts of generations of boffins means I'm able to talk to you through the

inter webs from China But on the individual level constant use of

the mind is tough.

This is because the world is far too complex for us to fully understand plus our brains

are hardwired to simplify it through stories.

For example "I am George and I'm not good at football" - but you know if I didn't

tell myself that when I was younger I would have been just fine at football.

So, society teaches us to always be analysing but we have to make decisions on limited and

wrong information, so is it really any wonder so many of us are anxious or struggle to make

decisions?

This is why the master's advice is so important.

When the master says "when it is time to eat.

you eat", he is saying you should be fully engaged in that moment.

when he says it is time for kung fu. you kung fu. he means don't try to intellectualise

it, just do it.

It's only when we stop trying to analyse the world, when we stop thinking about living

in the world, that we actually live in it. and It's only then that we can gain wisdom,

awareness of the world as it really is.

When your mind is still like this, you find decisions come easier as you rely on your

intuitions and you're not anxious because in the present there is no right or wrong

decision - there just is what is.

Powerful stuff right?

Well it would have been nice to get the Master on camera but I gave it my best shot.

At least I've got a funny story to tell the grand kids.

So over the last couple of days the master has become more receiptive to the camera,

that's why I could get the meditaiton tree shot.

so I'm going to stay for another week, I'd love to share the master with you because

he's such a legend.

there's no wifi so I'll see you next week.

Sims FreePlay - How To Get LPs, SPs & Simoleons (Updated Tutorial) - Duration: 9:51.

Hi guys!

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Make2.

In this video we're doing an updated version of a tutorial for The Sims FreePlay: how to

earn money, lifestyle points, and social points.

If you want to see more Sims FreePlay tutorials like this, let us know by giving the video

a thumbs up.

First things first, I think we've said this in previous tutorials we've done over the

years, but these are just the methods we currently prefer to use and recommend to others.

There's lots of different ways to earn money and points -- Contrary Sims has an awesome

Sims FreePlay channel and she did a great video recently packed with tips and tricks.

We'll link to that in the video description below so check that out after this.

So what's our main method?

Our sims get sent to the work house and they work hard.

It ain't pretty but it is cheap.

This work house costs 18,000 simoleons to build and it's easy to use.

It's focused around two things: gardening and cooking.

These are both great activities as they work really well on a single standard 18x18 lot.

You can have a maximum of 10 sims on a property, so our work house is ideal for 10 sims all

working together.

Now there are a couple of ways of building our work house, depending on what level you're

at in the game.

Whatever your level, gardening is always a good task.

You can pick the best crop to either gain XP to level up or to make simoleons.

And there are crops to grow for almost any amount of time, once you've unlocked them

all.

So it's easy to set your sims to gardening for whatever schedule works around your real

life.

Hot tip: avoid the monster plants, the ones with this little icon.

These will randomly end up with a monster that attacks your sims WITHOUT paying any

simoleons, and the risk of it going bad has just been too high in our experience.

Here we've got 10 garden patches.

A lot is 18 squares wide, a patch is 2 squares wide, so we make this little L shape.

We've got the running cost of the whole build in the top left.

So for these 10 garden patches at 20 simoleons each, it's cost us 200 simoleons.

Gardening is good for cash and XP, but not for LPs.

That's where the cooking comes in.

Like all other hobbies in the game, when you have completed the hobby collection enough

times and finished winning whatever hobby prizes there are, you'll then be able to earn

LPs by completing the hobby collection again and again and again.

So why go with cooking?

Three reasons.

First, you get 5 LPs every time you complete the cooking hobby collection.

That's better than most.

Just remember, this is AFTER you've already completed the hobby collection previously

and won the cutting board prize.

Second, the cooking hobby unlocks really early in the game so you can start working on it

at a lower level than other hobbies.

Third, the shortest cooking task (cheese and tomato on toast) takes only 1 minute, meaning

you can work through a whole collection and earn those 5 LPs faster than any other hobby.

Now, building the work house is pretty simple.

First, you need a single room that's 12 by 11 squares.

We're not going to decorate it and we're buying the cheapest items possible to keep costs

down, but you can do whatever you want in your own game.

We'll put in enough items for each of your 10 sims to use because it's more efficient

if they're not waiting for their turn or getting in each other's way.

BUT there will be a couple of important exceptions to this, so stay tuned.

First, we need ovens.

One for each sim so they can all cook at the same time.

We've then got two free squares to give the sims space to move around.

Then we add 10 sinks, each facing an oven.

We've gone with bathroom sinks here because they're cheaper than kitchen counter sinks,

and they work just as well.

The 10 sinks are there for the sims to clean up the dishes they cook.

You probably don't need all 10, but we've found that if there aren't enough sinks, the

sims try to take the dishes all the way to the trash out front, so this is just simpler.

To cook the full amount of items available in the cooking hobby, we'll need 3 items:

a toaster, a microwave, and a chopping board.

The chopping board is actually the prize you get for completing the cooking hobby collection

the first time.

Once you've done that, you'll want to tap RESET COLLECTION to start earning LPs every

other time.

Now, here's a cool thing about the cooking hobby.

For some reason, the toaster, microwave, and chopping board can be used without actually

being accessible to the sims.

So what we recommend is to turn each of those 3 items to face the wall -- see the little

green and white arrow?

The sims can still use the items to cook, but because they're facing the wrong direction,

the sims will stay by their ovens and won't get in each other's way.

So here we've got 3 countertops.

These can face the right way.

Then we've got a microwave rotated around to face the wall.

Next is a toaster facing the wall here.

And then the chopping board facing the wall here.

The whole back part of the room is for inspiring your sims by taking care of their needs.

Always keep your sims inspired as they will move faster, and earn more from gardening

too.

First, they need fridges for food to eat when they're hungry -- which explains the fridges.

Ten fridges, one for each sim.

Then after a gap of two squares we have ten countertops.

Each one has a coffee machine on it.

These give your sims energy.

Next, there's another gap of two squares, before a row of ten toilets.

Your sims need this for...you know.

They also need to get clean, and for that they can use the same sinks we've already got.

The final way they need inspiring is by being social and for that they have their fellow

sim workers.

For info, we've tried a bunch of different designs that didn't work out for how we like

to play.

We experimented with trapping each sim in their own little room but it got annoying.

The order in which the game chooses your active sim seems kinda random, so you can't cook

and clean up after cooking super efficiently because you don't know which sim is active.

It's a shame cause that would have been kinda awesome -- or nightmarish.

Our way has all the sims together and it doesn't matter who cooks where.

You could leave just one square gap between the oven and sink, but then sims can't walk

past each other very well, which also gets annoying fast.

And those crazy plates of food that pile up -- we've tried to find a way to make them

not need cleaning, but it just seems like you have to do it.

This is a work house designed for lower level players.

But if you've been playing for a longer time and have gotten to the Life Dreams and Legacies

Quest, you'll have a chance to win the extremely useful singing fish by completing the quest

within the time limit.

This fish, which can be found in the Decorations tab of the home store, will fully inspire

your sims in 30 seconds.

So you won't need to make them use the toilet or get food or clean themselves.

You can downsize the work house to make it even more efficient, and sell off a lot of

this stuff to help pay for the singing fish.

Plus, the fish can go on an exterior wall, which frees up even more space inside the

work house, which is now only 12 by 4 squares.

So here we've put 10 singing fish each behind a sink.

You won't need these that often -- just every few days so it's good to tuck them out of

the way a bit.

Just a note -- you will still need to keep 1 fridge so your sims can do the cooking hobby,

but just like the toaster, microwave, and chopping board, this 1 fridge should now face

the wall.

With these designs you can have 10 sims working all at once on tasks to complete that hobby

collection and earn 5 LPs each time, nice and fast.

This can obviously get a bit repetitive, or very repetitive, so we recommend farming like

this while watching TV or YouTube or anything you can take a quick break from here and there.

And here's a bonus tip that Contrary Sims reminded us about: once your sim gets to level

6 of the hobby, they earn one LP each.

After that you can reset their cooking level by having them complete a task of any other

hobby.

You then get them back to cooking so they can level up and earn that one LP each all

over again.

OK, so now you know all you need to make an efficient, soulless, cheap, productive workhouse.

This is our single best way to churn out those simoleons and LPs as fast as you can.

What are some other methods we like?

For one thing, watch the adverts!

This little guy shows up every few hours at a random house where a sim lives, and those

little videos will give you simoleons, LPs SPs, and also furniture and decorations in

exchange for a few minutes of ads.

So try to catch him whenever he appears.

Second, if you've got a car, whether from buying one for your sims or from a pre-built

house template, send a sim out on a drive.

As they go around town, they'll collect simoleons and LPs.

Third, you can definitely send your sims to work at jobs or to school.

That feels way more realistic, and it's also a lot nicer to the sims than the work house,

but more often than not we prefer gardening because it's just more efficient.

Fourth, work on weekly tasks.

Not only do you win keys which you can use to unlock some rare furniture and decoration

prizes, but you also get 3 LPs once you get 75% of the tasks done.

As far as getting Social Points, which can help a lot with the live events where you

craft candles and pottery and all of that, there are really only 2 ways we can recommend.

First, complete social tasks at neighbor towns.

These days, you get neighbors by connecting with friends on Facebook or Google Play who

play the game.

You can look for neighbors in any of the many Sims FreePlay Facebook groups or the Unofficial

Sims FreePlay Forum, which we've linked to in the video description below.

Second, you can do a random spin with the SP plant.

It does cost 20 LPs each time, but if you really need SPs and you've got LPs from doing

all the tips and tricks we've talked about in this video, then it could be worth a try.

The random spin plant is also a nice way to pick up some simoleons.

Every 4 hours you get a free spin.

So those are the methods we currently recommend.

We hope you found this updated tutorial helpful.

Let us know your thoughts about our work house, or ideas from your own work houses in the

comments below.

And if you haven't done so already, please feel free to subscribe because we've got plenty

more Sims FreePlay on the way.

Thanks for watching!

Sleep Is RIDICULOUSLY Important! - Motivational Video 2018 - Duration: 10:27.

okay so you're running you're CEO of two companies you're chairman of SolarCity

talk about time management how on earth do you do this well you get any sleep

oh yes sometimes not enough sleep is oh it's really great because because if you

find if I don't get enough sleep then I'm I'm quite grumpy I mean obviously I

think most people that way and and and also I could try to sort of figure out

what's the right amount of sleep because I thought I could have though I could

drop below a certain threshold of sleep and although I'd be awake more hours and

I could sustain it I would get less done because I'm mental acuity would be

affected so I found generally the right number for me is around six to six and a

half hours on average per night yeah and any other tips on average or any other

tips on just managing to run two companies simultaneously I mean do you

do you find I mean I know you're up here on Monday Tuesday is it all Tesla

when you're up in Silicon Valley and all SpaceX Wednesday Thursday it's having a

service of s having a smartphone is incredibly helpful because that means

you can do email during interstitial periods like you're in a car you're

walking in the bathroom everywhere and if you do email practically when

you're awake and and so that's really helpful to have email for SpaceX and

Tesla integrated on my phone and then

and then it's just you have to apply a lot of hours to actual working actually

working so but the way I generally do it is I'll be working at SpaceX on Monday

and then Monday night flight to Bay Area spent Tuesday and Wednesday at the Baria

then at otezla and then fly back on Wednesday night it's been Thursday and

Friday at SpaceX in the last several months then I would fly back here on a

Saturday and either spend Saturday and Sunday at Tesla or spend Saturday Tesla

Sunday at SpaceX and where did the boys fit in you have five sons yeah so what

did he tag along with dad on some of these bits I do drag them along and a

lot of things actually they're remarkably unimpressed by quick note out

to all of you out there that believe that an open mind is important which by

the way I agree with you I agree and open minds important you know the old

saying the mind is like a parachute it won't work if it's open but I want you

to add one piece to that if that parachute is wide open you've fallen

straight to the ground you understand what I'm saying if it doesn't

open if the mine doesn't open you're in trouble if it opens too wide you're dead

man bounce it or a dead woman balancing my point of view is this okay most

people do actually have an open mind the problem is many people they have a mind

that's wide open with no filters no gates no protection you listen to

everyone you listen to everyone on Facebook everyone on Instagram you

listen to your uncle your aunt your mom your dad when the minds to open you get

too much data and you go into confusion I've changed a couple years ago when I

discovered something called the progress principle it is a principle that was

written about in the Harvard Business Review it's based on a tremendous amount

of research done by a professor over there and what she determined is that

people that feel happy and successful and fulfilled by their lives and work

they all have one thing in common they feel as though they're making progress

on something that matters so I read this little bit of research and I started

applying it to my life and what I do as as stupid as it sounds it really works I

don't focus on balancing everything I focus on just making sure that I make

progress on one thing a day that's right you heard me one thing a day that

matters to me now if I can make progress on one thing a day that matters to me

then I can let go and let the rest of my day get hijacked by kids by spouse by

phone calls by emails by social media by all kinds of things that come up and

tend to hijack your day when you're a busy person when you have a family when

you're married when you got a lot going on and so by focusing on one thing a day

I feel the sense of control in the sense of progress that science tells us will

make you happy and make you feel more confident and actually make you more

effective at getting things done it also frees me up to be more present with my

kids my parents decided that they would get married at the end of 1958 when

interracial marriage was illegal in their state Maryland and 16 other states

and they drove to Washington DC and got hitched and drove back and lived in

Baltimore illegally and when their friends said whatever you do don't have

kids because biracial kids will not fit in this world I'm number five of six

my parents were terrible listeners every step of the way and from that I've

learned do not listen to other people's take on the life you should lead my

parents were excellent role models in not listening so I won't give you any

advice today I'll just tell you what I've seen by not listening you can

figure out what your heart is telling you to do when I was at Harvard I was

studying English in American literature I was premed

but then I realized that telling stories was my passion and I switched and

started working at a local TV station it kind of worked out now I travel the

globe telling stories not taking advice means you'll break those boundaries

those walls that exist that make us feel like we're different from other people

we meet not taking advice means you'll stop looking for meaning and things that

have no meaning listen some relationships are not meant to be delete

those numbers from your phone and move on

bad things sometimes happen and they'll continue to happen until good people get

in the way and I've seen this time and time again in every single story I've

covered be that good person decide what you want to be and I'm not talking about

a job I'm talking about the kind of person you want to be it is up to you

and no one else people can be mean and unfair but more far far more people are

good and they're generous and they're helpful and they're hopeful and that

means that you're gonna have to lead with an open heart and it also means

that that little heart probably is going to get stomped on a few more times than

you'd like but if you go where your passion and your heart leads you I

guarantee you you will have incredible experiences I have in 1958 my mother and

father were living as a married couple in Baltimore Maryland and my mother

would tell me the story of how people would spit on them as they walk down the

street together I would say to her how did you deal with that I mean why did

you do and she said boo lovey called me lovey

Oh lovey we knew America was better than that and

we knew we had to be part of making it better that's what it was about and she

knew that if you were knocked off your path anytime someone spit on you

literally or metaphorically you might not get to where you were

trying to go because she had a dream which was the American dream and a dream

that she would realize as all coming out of poverty in Cuba and all of her six

kids graduating from Harvard and one of her grandchildren sitting in this

audience today so please as my mother would advise you if she were here

don't listen to idiots figure out your dream and be brave enough to go and live

it otherwise as a friend told me the other day someone will hire you to help

them with their dream and if that doesn't sound quite as fulfilling does

it don't let people kill your joy you'll find them they will glom onto your shoes

like gum so I would advise starting today remove people from your life

who'll make you feel bad about who you are and what you want to be don't let

people steal your joyful life you have your lives ahead of you to do well and

do good in this world and to be great and to be good to others and find

greatness and seek out goodness in other people because it is all around us I was

fully you know prepared to just play out you know stand-up comedy and comedy

clubs yeah but there's somebody within you that constantly pushed the edges of

the envelope wherever you were well or at least took advantage of the

opportunities that came around and a lot of it has to do with you know just the

courage to jump in I mean you know to do films that are out of your so-called

power Ally as they call it is it takes nerve you know so I have the nerve you

know and we'll see if I have the goods but I have the nerve and yeah I I'm just

excited really about always changing about crossing me back and forth across

the river and throwing the hounds off the trail I love that just whatever you

think that just when we think we've got you we know you you're off on the other

route absolutely and if I feel like I've been figured out boy look out I will

become something completely different you know maybe I might might not want to

become something completely different but Express something completely

different I always felt like if the world is going crazy

become and if and if they're calm I'll be the one hanging off the chandelier

Game of Thrones SEASON 8 - WINTERFELL UPDATES AND PREDICTIONS - Duration: 14:13.

In this video, I will discuss ALL the season 8 Updates regarding Winterfell and the north,

So stay tuned for that...

Hello Everyone.

Welcome to UBM.

Your one stop for book and TV series reviews.

Last Saturday, I discussed "Sansa's Fate in the Fianle."

And Westworld season 2 is coming soon.

So, by then, I'll get back to my regular schedule of posting 2 videos a week.

I'll post another video next Saturday at 07:00 pm IST or at 09:30 am EST.

So make sure to subscribe this channel and also click on the bell icon to get notifications

from my channel.

Before we begin, I would like to introduce you to this channel's very first patrons/sponsors/producers,

Alina Parveen and Aaron Aarguelles (I'm sorry if I pronounced your name wrong).

Thank you so much for your support Alina & Aaron.

I really appreciate it.

You guys can also pledge and get some cool rewards at Patreon.com/ultimatebookmaniacs.

Check out the link in the description below.

Anyways, at first I thought I'll discuss ALL the updates here, but there were SO MANY

updates that it was hard to discuss them all in one video, i.e. if I wanted to discuss

them in detail.

The other option was to just mention them shortly.

So I left this decision to my patrons.

And as you can see, the option for three separate videos won.

So I'll discuss ALL the updates regarding Winterfell and the North first.

But before we get to season 8 updates, let's take a quick look at what happened in the

north when season 7 had ended.

In Winterfell, Our wolf pack aka Sansa, Arya & Bran have killed LF, and Sansa was ruling

WF until Jon comes back.

Sam and Bran have figured out Jon's parentage and were waiting for Jon's return too.

Jon, Dany & Tyrion were sailing towards Whiteharbor while the Dothraki were going to ride through

the King's road.

They will meet somewhere around here and will head towards Winterfell by King's road.

Jaime is also heading towards Winterfell.

I wonder if he will run into the Dothraki.

At the wall, We last saw Castle Black in the Episode 1 where Lord Commander Edd had let

Meera and Bran pass the wall.

And at Eastwatch, the NK managed to break the wall and the WWs and wights crossed into

Westeros.

So what's next for the North?

A few days ago, I posted a couple of filming videos of season 8.

I'll discuss these videos and other filming news today, so in case you don't wanna see

any spoilers, you should stop right here.

First, let's take a look at what we have already discussed in my previous videos.

We know there will be two major battle scenes in season 8.

One in Winterfell, and the other in King's Landing.

I will only discuss the Battle in Winterfell here.

This battle will be directed by Miguel Sapochnik which means this battle will take place in

episode 3 and 5.

We know he has directed some epic episodes like "Hardhome," "Battle of the Bastards"

and "The Winds of Winter," etc.

And if you've watched my "Winterfell Filming News video," you can tell exactly which

battle he will direct in season 8 and what will be the result of that battle.

You can tell how epic this battle will be just by the number of extras.

There will be 400-500 extras used in this battle, which is almost the same amount of

extras, that were used in the Battle of the Bastards.

The battle in Winterfell is filmed in three different places.

All these scenes are filmed at night.

So it could be for the same battle or it could be for 2 different battles.

1) Saintfield aka the place where the battle of the bastards was filmed.

About three weeks ago, there had been activity (including clouds of smoke) spotted there.

2) Moneglass set, which I discussed in my "Shocking filming news" video where WF

was under attack.

I said in that video that it looked like the Lannisters and the golden company were attacking

WF.

But there was still some doubt left.

But then, GOTLikeLocations & WOTW posted some shots of the Winterfell set.

You can clearly see a lot of dead bodies of humans and horses, which could either be northerners

or the Dothraki.

In another pic, you can also see dead unsullied near the spikes.

This PROVES that their attackers were humans.

If it had been the NK and his army, there wouldn't have been any bodies left, right?

They would have walked away as wights after they died.

Unless their bodies were burned before they could be reanimated, and it didn't look

like their bodies were burned.

3) Magheramorne Quarry – I already posted the filming there in my "Season 8 latest

filming videos."

Even though I wasn't sure about the Moneyglass set.

This one was definitely used for the battle with the WWs.

Let's take a quick look at what or was spotted here.

1) The unsullied with their armor and weapons.

2) The Dothraki 3) Men in green suit riding horses

4) Smoke and mists 5) Fire

6) A Trebuchet

Maybe the fire is from the dragons, who will try to burn the wights.

OR maybe the northerners will use the trebuchets to throw fireballs at the wights or at Viserion

because as I had explained in my videos before, Viserion is a Wight, and Wights can't bear

the touch of fire.

Not even a little bit.

As for the green suited men on horses, you can tell from this BTS picture from "Beyond

the wall episode" that these suits are worn to show wights.

The recently dead wights don't need a green suit, unless they have to show missing or

decaying body parts, which means, these are really OLD, skeletal wights, like the ones

we saw in the cave scene.

But why they are sitting on a horse?

So far, we have NEVER seen any wight sitting on a horse, but as I've proved in my Bran's

journey & prediction video before, the wights are not mindless creatures.

They have their own mind, they can retain their memories and can also plan an attack

just like Othor and Jafer Flowers did.

You can check out my Bran's journey video for a detailed explanation.

Maybe it was the WWs who never allowed them to ride a horse until now?

I wanna thank Dragongirl15 for sharing these pictures with me.

Maybe the WWs will order the wights to ride horses to counter the human horse riders.

In this picture, you can see BOTH the Dothraki AND the green suited wights.

It's hard to say if these dothraki will be alive or dead because as I had said before,

the recently dead Dothraki will look exactly the same except for their wounds, which do

not heal upon their death or reanimation, whether it's an Ice wight or a fire wight.

So do you think these are Dothraki fighting the wights or they ARE the wights themselves?

Lemme know in the comments.

You can also see the men carrying torches in these pictures, both lit and unlit.

At first I thought they were spears, but in another pic, you can see a well lit torch

too.

I also noticed 2 figures walking towards each other next to a huge bonfire, and they stood

there talking for some time.

Maybe the bon fire is there as a ready weapon, in case they get attacked by the wights?

Or maybe Melisandre will return to westweros and will perform another sacrifice.

What do you think?

My Jolly Sailor Bold had commented, it looks like 4 figures are fighting a WW and I agree

here.

It seems like someone small or rather smaller than the ones fighting there, got hurt or

fell down on his/her knees, and got up later.

According to WOTW, For a sequence of aerial shots set in episode three, the Night King's

army will slowly advance through the snow, amid lit bonfires.

By this point, right in the mid-season, the army of the dead will be composed of wildlings

and brothers of the Night's Watch.

Brienne and Jaime will be present in this battle and they will be fighting the wights

side by side in episode 4, which means they will finally reunite in or around WF in the

2nd or 3rd episode.

I guess this will be a perfect date in Brienne's mind.

Right? :P

Anyways, they were only there for a one night shoot.

Does this mean one of them will die or is it just they won't get much footage in this

episode?

What do you think?

It looks like Arya will be a part of this battle too.

Some time ago, Maisie Williams had said in an interview with Metro, "I am currently

on my way to a night shoot, which is week 4 of 12 weeks of night shoots.

It's just huge.

The task is huge.

But, there's no better way to leave the show, to be honest."

Are you thinking what I am thinking right now?

She said "There's no better way to leave the show."

Does this mean Arya will die in this epic battle?

I've already discussed the signs of Arya's death in my "Arya's death foreshadowing

video" last year.

It's possible she might not survive this battle.

And I loved Cliffe FC's theory too.

Cliffe had said, "Perhaps Nymeria was reintroduced in season 7 because Arya is going to die very

soon, and when she does, her spirit will transfer to her direwolf."

I completely agree here.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nymeria arrives with her pack to help Arya and Arya's spirit

goes into Nymeria after she dies.

Maybe that's why D&D have kept Orell's part in the show when they had cut so many

others.

What do you think?

Joe Dempsie aka Gendry has also said in an interview with Digital Spy that he has been

filming "a fair bit."

In a way, he also said he would be there when it will all go down.

Is it possible that Gendry will fight right beside Arya in this battle?

Judging from his words, it looks like he might be a part of the final battle.

DavyOrr's video showed someone fighting with a burning sword, and I heard some kind

of chanting in the background.

It sounded familiar to me and I looked up season 1, & found the scene I was looking

for.

Do you remember the scene in the Vaes Dothraki where Dany has to eat the horse's heart?

Remember the chanting in this scene?

It seemed A LOT like this.

According to Jorah Mormont, this chanting meant, "The prince is riding.

I have heard the thunder of his hooves.

Swift as the wind he rides.

His enemies will cower before him.

And their wives will weep tears of blood.

She is going to have a boy."

But why would the Dothraki chant in the middle of a battle?

Maybe they are praying to their gods?

Or maybe this chant mean the same thing as it did before?

Does this mean Dany will have a boy?

Or maybe Jon will finally get Lightbringer, and this is a chanting to support his becoming

AA or the PTWP?

What do you think?

Can you hear the chanting too?

We also saw a picture of Jon riding a dragon.

I know most of you think it's probably fake, but if you will compare Dany's dragon buck

in this picture with Jon's dragon buck, you can see that Dany's dragon buck seems

way bigger than Jon's.

As for which dragon he will ride, assuming that it wasn't fake, I'd say he would

ride Rhaegal.

Rhaegal was named after Jon's father Rhaegar.

It seems fitting that Jon will ride that dragon.

What do you think?

As for Jon & Dany's picture, it does seem like she is holding a baby but it's hard

to say for sure.

Some people think that they are getting married.

I had previously thought that they would get married in front of the Heart tree, but in

this picture, Jon isn't wearing his fur cloak, so if they do get married, it would

probably be inside.

Anyways, that's all for today's updates and it's time for the comment shoutout now.

Todays comment shoutout goes to LL, who said, "I always enjoy your videos.

Especially about anything Stark.

Your take on Sansa's future is original, especially about the Lyanna connection and

dying in childbirth eventually."

Thanks a lot LL.

House Stark has ALWAYS been my favourite.

I feel like I know them inside out.

But this time I was thinking of focusing on someone else.

I asked my patrons about which character I should choose for my next "Journey and Predictions"

video, and so far, Dany seems to be winning.

So, what do you think of these theories, don't forget to tell us in the comments.

DAY 88 OF MY JUICE FAST-CHECKING IN AND YES I'M STILL JUICE FASTING MY WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY🍹🍹🍹 - Duration: 9:42.

this one okay here we go okay guys today is day 88 of my juice fast I'm gonna

make this video short and brief today is the weekend and I really want to call

this laid-back day I'm not going to upload too many videos today what any

updates I want to do this video today because of the simple fact that 30

pounds that I need to lose and confident to say that by the end of this month

I'll probably have lost all of the weight the whole 30 pounds and I'm

saying this confidently because I've been on this journey for so long now

that I know how to control my weight just like I know how I got to this

weight to be on this juice fast journey the sad thing to say about my whole

journey is I probably would have never been on a juice fast if I didn't gain

weight and also if I didn't gain the amount of weight that I had gained I

probably wouldn't have got on a juice fast to know the beneficial you know

properties of doing the juice feast I'm glad that this third time I gained the

weight and now I know how to control it so that if my weight goes up again and

all of us fluctuate when it comes to weight loss or maintaining our weight I

know how to fix it I'm struggling now with exercising I do

two hours a day seven days a week and I think that I'm getting a little bit

addicted to it because I've been doing it so long I feel guilty when like today

I did an hour in 14 minutes I feel like you know you work out seven days a week

you should done the whole two hours it wasn't like

I was tired or exhausted just didn't feel like doing it just feeling lazy I

felt like I did I on 14 minutes I didn't feel like doing the whole two hours so

you know it's going to wind down with the seven days a week I'm going to do my

exercise Monday through Friday with giving myself the weekends to rest I

will do my five to ten-minute but workout that I do each one and that not

only works out the butt but it works out the legs I'll do that seven days a week

and it only takes a couple of seconds each day to do that and it doesn't take

that much of my time up if I find that you know I feel like that I need to work

out the seven days doing my cycling I will cut it down to seven days a week

and only do an hour on the bike you know so that I won't feel like I'm not

working out and you know doing something wrong eventually I'm going to cut it

down to an hour even if I do still work out seven days a week so you know I'm

trying to play that by ear but one thing that I have picked up that is a good

habit and I'm glad that I picked up is that I work out and I hope because I

can't remember if I told you at the beginning of this video I had said the

right day which is day 88 because yesterday I had said it was I think day

86 when I was on date 87 this journey has been and I have shown myself that it

has been so easy it is really easy to forget what day that you're on I really

truly don't keep track of the days until I upload my videos which are daily but I

still lose track of what day I'm on because you know

at this point you know I probably done like the longest juice fast currently

you know on a social media platform or close to it and or recently have you

know done and you know it's not a big deal anymore and I got like 30 pounds

left that's not really a challenge to lose 30 pounds when you have lost almost

close to 60 pounds in a matter of less than 90 days I've lost close to 60

pounds and other two pounds and I'll be close to sixty pounds that I have lost

in less than 90 days and if I reach the 60 park before the 90 days I definitely

will be doing a video on that progress that leap that goal you know but today

yeah I'm gonna be falling back today I'll do a update video tomorrow Sunday

but today is going to be like a Sunday quiet every day for me is like a weekend

and everyday to me is quiet I tried to keep peace in my life I think that I'm a

little sluggish today because I've been prepping myself for water fast my head

did a 36-hour water fast and had to break my fast last night and drink juice

because it was just exhausting I just went downstairs to take the trash out

came back up the stairs I was out of breath I think that also plays a part on

why I didn't want to work out for an hour 14 minutes even though I didn't

feel as Austin I just felt out of it one good thing about water fasting I noticed

incorporating it with the salt water flush in the morning it gets a deeper

clean cleansing I noticed that when I cleanse in the morning time and Foye

flush the toilet you're supposed to check out what's in there

so you know what's coming out and what possibly is not and it hits the spot

I'll just say that much I do recommend people do water fascist I don't think

that they should do it long term some people might say juice fast isn't for

them it's for me I say that water fasting is really not for me I can make

it a part of my regiment 24 to 36 or 48 or 3 maybe a three-day you know

challenge myself maybe one day to a 7 day or a 14 day but you know juicing is

more my style and I always have energy on a juice fast and I'm gonna call it a

juice fast even though people sometimes say to me it's a juice peace I still

consider it as a fast because you can lose weight every day like you can on a

juice fast and still maintain your energy and and still get the same

results so you know that's how I look at it so um you know water fasting has

great benefits and it works on the body more and I think that time the time some

people should especially if you're overweight you're full of toxins you

have other ailments I think that you should some of you do it time to time

but at the point that I'm at right now I will do them here and there but I'm not

going to kill myself with them because I can see how people fall out on water

fasts and things happen complications because when you do them for long

periods of time you can encounter complications and it's

not really good to do long-term water fast when you're not being supervised I

wouldn't do it anyways when I felt like the body

yesterday was not responding like it should've i mediate lee made sure i had

put some juices in my system and stopped playing around with that juice fasting

i'm still prepping for the water fasts I have not stopped drinking the water

because I still drink water anyways because you're supposed to drink water

even when you're juicing but what I was doing when I was prepping myself for the

water fast was I was drinking less juice and trying to put more water where the

juices were in place you know for the day so this video is getting kind of

long so I want to say to you please subscribe to the channel like and share

this video and I'll see you guys in the next video

I'm alive! - Duration: 4:37.

Hey, ladies and gentlemen, hope you're doing great

because I sure AM

I just survived my first GRE

and let me tell you, I'm so glad I'm still alive

even though I'm not that happy with the scores I received

but that's okay because I've already planned on retaking the test which is maybe two months down the road like

I'm not gonna worry too much about it

but I'm aiming high this time, aiming high

and I'm going to get their scores

well not that high, I'll probably get average one, I got below average so I'm like eh, I'll just aim for average

I would definitely get above average, that's where I'm aiming for but this is okay, I'm okay with average

because apparently

getting above like way above average is almost impossible

so...

I'll reach for it but I'm okay with down here

and for those of you who are taking GRE

it's broken up into three sections: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and writing

the writing

it's a little hard to practice but I think there's a workbook for it so you can

practice more or you can get online course for it, it would definitely help you

the verbal reasoning

Definitely get vocabulary cards like physical ones and a phone app

GRE flash cards from Magoosh, M-A-G-O-O-S-H

that app will test you on from between like in the range of average (common)

words to completely uncommon, never really used vocabulary

while my physical flashcards, there was only uncommon words that you wouldn't use in

an everyday conversation like

lapidary L-A-P-I-D-A-R-Y

that deals with

cutting the crystals or the method of cutting the crystals

you wouldn't use that word in everyday life unless you're definitely a jeweler that makes jewelry for a living

you wouldn't use that word, it's, it was really bizarre

but it helps especially in the tests, definitely take a test, practice tests over and over and over it will help

Quantitative, definitely get a workshop

or workbook

it would help, you need to practice

and that's where I'm wishing I did

but that's okay

now I know what I did wrong

so I will be fixing those problems and do better

I expect to do better because I can do better

Well we can do better

anyway this is all I have for you today

just want to let you know I'm alive and I'm still sane

I haven't lost my sanity so it's still here, I promise, still here

Halfway, halfway still here

and if you have any questions, doesn't matter it's about Deaf culture, deaf life, school life

well I don't, I don't really have school life yet but

you know I mean, any questions, just drop them down in the comment below

and I will see you next Saturday

HOW TO COOK LENTILS IN THE INSTANT POT - Duration: 6:58.

hey guys welcome back to another video. today I'm showing you had to cook

lentils in the Instant Pot and I'll show you three easy lentil recipes. I'll show

you the various cook times and methods for different kinds of lentils so you

can eat healthy and save time in the kitchen. and if you're looking for more

delicious vegan recipes I have a lot on my blog

Rainbowplantlife.com, or on my Instagram @rainbowplantlife and you

can find those links in the description box below. and before I get to the

lentils I want to mention two things. one, if you enjoy this video, please hit

that thumbs up button. it's always very much appreciated when you do. and two if

you want to see more healthy instant pot recipes or more vegan instant pot

recipes, just let me know in the comments down below.

the first recipe I want to

share is a red lentil sweet potato soup. red lentils are great for a soft or

pureed dish like an Indian dal, a curry or soup, which is what I'm making today.

to start this soup you're going to turn on the Saute setting of your Instant Pot,

add some coconut oil and saute diced onion for a few minutes until it starts

to soften. then you're gonna add in some fresh ginger and garlic for flavor. next

comes some curry powder and turmeric and you're just gonna cook that until it's

fragrant. now pour in some vegetable broth. you can use water if you prefer

but it'll be a lot more flavorful with the broth.

finally add in the red lentils, along with some cubed sweet potatoes and salt

and pepper to taste. just give the soup a stir and now your

work is done. seal the Instant Pot, turn the venting

knob to the Sealing position, and select the Manual setting and bring it to high

pressure for 10 minutes. once the 10 minutes is up, allow the

pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, and then open up the pot. give

your soup a taste for seasonings. you might find what it needs more salt or if

it's too acidic you can balance it out with a little bit of sweetener. and

that's about it - your lentil soup is ready to eat.

the second recipe I'm sharing our Indian style black lentils. Black Beluga lentils

hold their shape when they cook so they're great for a side dish or in a

salad and they take about 10 to 12 minutes in the Instant Pot, depending on

how firm or mushy you like your lentils. you can cook lentils in plain old water

if you want, but lentils are like little sponges, so they absorb whatever they're

cooked in, so I really recommend starting with some flavor. I like to start by

sauteeing some onion and garlic, maybe some green chilies and ginger depending

on the flavors I'm looking for. and then I cooked them in vegetable broth to give

a little more flavor.

I'm going to start this dish in the exact same way I started this soup. heat

up some oil on the Saute setting of the Instant Pot. the first step is to fry

some cumin seeds, which is traditional in Indian cooking to add some flavor. then

you're gonna add green chillies, but if you can't tolerate spicy foods you can

omit this step. now add in diced onion, followed by garlic and ginger, and these

are all flavor building blocks. then you'll add in a mixture of Indian spices.

the exact measurements are in the description box below. and finally you'll

add in black Beluga lentils, vegetable broth and salt to taste.

as with the first recipe, just give it a stir and let the Instant Pot do the rest

of the work. you'll follow the exact same directions as with the first recipe.

after the pressure has been released, I like to add in a little bit of vegan

butter. it makes the lentil softer and creamier, and then I also add in some

cilantro for something fresh and bright.

and the last recipe is a basic brown lentil. these are great to add to your

meal prep or to a salad or wrap or anytime you need a protein fix. and for

brown or green lentils you want to cook them for about 12 to 15 minutes

depending on, again, how mushy or firm you like your lentils.

This final recipe starts off pretty similarly to the other ones. just saute some green chili, onions,

and garlic in coconut oil and season with salt. then you'll add in brown

lentils and vegetable broth. for brown lentils, you're gonna cook them a bit

longer. I'm doing 15 minutes at high pressure, but if you like your lentils on

the firmer side ,you can do 12 or 13 minutes.

one of the questions I'm frequently asked is "what are the best foods to eat

on a vegan diet?" and there are so many options, so many delicious and healthy

options in the plant-based world. but something that's always at the top of my

list are lentils. they're tiny little superfood packed with high

quality protein, fiber that helps you stay full, iron, tons of minerals and

vitamins, as well as antioxidants. and if you've never cooked your own lentils

because you're not sure how or it's easy enough to just buy it in a box or a can,

then I think you'll love these recipes because they're so simple. unlike cooking

lentils on the stove you don't need to soak them for the Instant Pot. and unlike

cooking lentils on the stove, you don't have to constantly watch them to make

sure that they don't burn or get too mushy. just put them in the Instant Pot,

walk away, go do your own stuff, and then come back when they're done. I hope you

found this video for how to cook lentils in the Instant Pot helpful, and if you

have any suggestions for future video topics let me know in the comments below.

thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in the next video.

No Dig Potatoes Trial (2018) | What cover or mulch gives the best results? - Duration: 10:14.

Hello, today I'm going to start my no dig potato trial for 2018. Trial is a

very glamorous word for it, I'm experimenting and just trying to see

what happens. So I have I've got three varieties of earlies, that's Arran, a red

Duke of York and Pentland Javelin. And the Pentland Javelins can be left to go on

to main crop. We'll see how we do with the other two and then I'll decide when

I'm cropping them whether to leave the Pentland Javelin in for a bit longer to

create bigger potatoes or not. My experiment is to see what's the best

thing that we've got on site that we can use to cover over some no dig potatoes.

So last year my no dig potato experiment had varying degrees of success, I placed

the potatoes on top of the ground and then covered them with a permeable black

plastic, so the water would go through. And then when the leaves started growing

I cut little slits in the top of the plastic and the plants grew through it.

There was an awful lot of slug damage, I didn't really know what I was

doing. It was worth a try and what I learned was I wasn't going to do it again.

But if you're interested I'll leave a link there. So this year I'm

going to cover up different sections of that row with different coverings.

So I'm going to be using the bedding from the chicken shed that has

had about six months of just sitting outside with the rain washing through it.

It's still not decomposed yet by a long shot, but hopefully the worst of the burn

from the chicken poop has gone. So that will be on one section. Another section

will have partially decomposed wood chippings that have been

out for about between a year in 18 months, so they're looking pretty good.

The next section will have leaf mould on it and that leaf mould is 18 months old.

It's still not a fine crumble yet but it's getting there. And then the

last section will have homemade compost from our compost bins.

I've put the paper label on with the name red Duke of York here, but I've also

used the the plastic wired opening from a refill coffee pouc.h I've just

used a marker pen to put the name on it, so that even if this paper label

dissolves away in the rain, we'll still have this plastic one and hopefully that

marker pen won't fade too much and in sun. I am going to put down some shop

bought compost on the ground in a narrow row just to give something for my

seed potatoes of nestle into.

I'm also going to put a very light sprinkling of this plant food down.

All the products in it are allowed by EU Organic Standards and the only reason

I'm using this is that this soil is really very poor. It hasn't had a lot

added to it as yet, we're just in the far end of the diesel field, so it's

not terribly good soil. I'm just going to give these potatoes a kick-start and then,

a bit later on, I will give it an organic potato feed. All of this is a 'let's see how we get on'.

So, for the last couple of months the potatoes have been in the boot room in

this egg tray and they're doing a process that we call chitting, which means

that you keep them in a reasonably cool, but a frost-free, place in the light and

then they start growing the shoots. And the theory is it just gives them a bit

of a quicker start in the ground

So, this leafmold is now 18 months old

and some parts of it are not terribly well decomposed and others just looking

lovely. It's what I've got, and the thing about

using this, is that we already have this, we don't have to buy it in, it's a free resource.

These leaves came from the big sycamore trees and this is looking pretty good.

It's a looking good! Doesn't smell

of anything other than, oh it smells, earthy!

So, I don't have quite as much of our homemade compost as I have of the other

materials because this is the oldest compost I've got and that's all

I've got of it.

Hurrah, hurrah, that's compete now with its first layer on it.

I'm so excited. Hopefully it'll be really interesting to see how the different

coverings have an impact on the plants growing. And maybe it will have

none, maybe it'll have something significant, time will tell. So that's it

for me today. I'm heading in to have a quick cup of tea and then I'm gonna come

out and get on with potatoes. And when I upload this video I will

start a playlist of my potato experiment for 2018 and I will put all of those

videos together in that, so that at the end of the year, you'll be able to see

a succession of how they got on.

And so, wherever you are in the world and

whatever you've got planned for today, I hope it's a good one

and I also hope you can join all of us tomorrow.

Autodesk inventor 2018 tutorial - extrude in Canvas Display - Duration: 3:22.

hello engineers. today I will talk about canvas display.

some other things about using extrude command.

actually, I should have told you about this in my last extrude command tutorial.

but I forget to talk about this things in that tutorial video.

so I decided to talk about this things in this video.

so without wasting any time, let's get started.

first, I will explain, how to delete this extrusion without deleting sketch.

actually, this is our sketch, which I have drawn first.

and it got extrusion by using extrude command.

so first I will explain how to delete this extrusion without deleting this sketch.

if you want to do that then simply right click on extrusion.

then you have to click on delete.

if you don't want to delete this sketch then simply disable this option.

and then click on OK.

as you can see here, now we have our original sketch. we don't have here extrusion.

let's click on extrude so i can talk about canvas display because extrude feature allow me to use canvas display.

actually, I have told you about extrude command so in this video, I will tell you little more about extrude command.

let's click here to use canvas display.

now we are using canvas display to control our geometry dynamically.

so what is the advantage of canvas display?

in this display, you will find here arrow and sphere.

arrow and sphere called manipulator.

you can extrude it like this.

you don't have to give here any value.

so you can concentrate on your feature instead of concentrating on this toolbar.

I normally keep it at the upper left corner so it doesn't cover my work.

I suggest you do that so it will be easy for you to work.

if you will click here then it will collapse.

this is how it works.

I talked about this. you can increase and decrease the value of extrusion.

from here.

while you drag the arrow it snaps to increment of 1/16 of an inch.

and I will tell you how to change settings in next video tutorial.

you can also change drafting angle from here.

if you want to change drafting angle with accuracy

then you have to give here value.

let's give here angle 40.

I will click on OK.

this is how it works.
