In this video, I will discuss ALL the season 8 Updates regarding Winterfell and the north,
So stay tuned for that...
Hello Everyone.
Welcome to UBM.
Your one stop for book and TV series reviews.
Last Saturday, I discussed "Sansa's Fate in the Fianle."
And Westworld season 2 is coming soon.
So, by then, I'll get back to my regular schedule of posting 2 videos a week.
I'll post another video next Saturday at 07:00 pm IST or at 09:30 am EST.
So make sure to subscribe this channel and also click on the bell icon to get notifications
from my channel.
Before we begin, I would like to introduce you to this channel's very first patrons/sponsors/producers,
Alina Parveen and Aaron Aarguelles (I'm sorry if I pronounced your name wrong).
Thank you so much for your support Alina & Aaron.
I really appreciate it.

Anyways, at first I thought I'll discuss ALL the updates here, but there were SO MANY
updates that it was hard to discuss them all in one video, i.e. if I wanted to discuss
them in detail.
The other option was to just mention them shortly.
So I left this decision to my patrons.
And as you can see, the option for three separate videos won.
So I'll discuss ALL the updates regarding Winterfell and the North first.
But before we get to season 8 updates, let's take a quick look at what happened in the
north when season 7 had ended.
In Winterfell, Our wolf pack aka Sansa, Arya & Bran have killed LF, and Sansa was ruling
WF until Jon comes back.
Sam and Bran have figured out Jon's parentage and were waiting for Jon's return too.
Jon, Dany & Tyrion were sailing towards Whiteharbor while the Dothraki were going to ride through
the King's road.
They will meet somewhere around here and will head towards Winterfell by King's road.
Jaime is also heading towards Winterfell.
I wonder if he will run into the Dothraki.
At the wall, We last saw Castle Black in the Episode 1 where Lord Commander Edd had let
Meera and Bran pass the wall.
And at Eastwatch, the NK managed to break the wall and the WWs and wights crossed into
Westeros.
So what's next for the North?
A few days ago, I posted a couple of filming videos of season 8.
I'll discuss these videos and other filming news today, so in case you don't wanna see
any spoilers, you should stop right here.
First, let's take a look at what we have already discussed in my previous videos.
We know there will be two major battle scenes in season 8.
One in Winterfell, and the other in King's Landing.
I will only discuss the Battle in Winterfell here.
This battle will be directed by Miguel Sapochnik which means this battle will take place in
episode 3 and 5.
We know he has directed some epic episodes like "Hardhome," "Battle of the Bastards"
and "The Winds of Winter," etc.
And if you've watched my "Winterfell Filming News video," you can tell exactly which
battle he will direct in season 8 and what will be the result of that battle.
You can tell how epic this battle will be just by the number of extras.
There will be 400-500 extras used in this battle, which is almost the same amount of
extras, that were used in the Battle of the Bastards.
The battle in Winterfell is filmed in three different places.
All these scenes are filmed at night.
So it could be for the same battle or it could be for 2 different battles.
1) Saintfield aka the place where the battle of the bastards was filmed.
About three weeks ago, there had been activity (including clouds of smoke) spotted there.
2) Moneglass set, which I discussed in my "Shocking filming news" video where WF
was under attack.
I said in that video that it looked like the Lannisters and the golden company were attacking
WF.
But there was still some doubt left.
But then, GOTLikeLocations & WOTW posted some shots of the Winterfell set.
You can clearly see a lot of dead bodies of humans and horses, which could either be northerners
or the Dothraki.
In another pic, you can also see dead unsullied near the spikes.
This PROVES that their attackers were humans.
If it had been the NK and his army, there wouldn't have been any bodies left, right?
They would have walked away as wights after they died.
Unless their bodies were burned before they could be reanimated, and it didn't look
like their bodies were burned.
3) Magheramorne Quarry – I already posted the filming there in my "Season 8 latest
filming videos."
Even though I wasn't sure about the Moneyglass set.
This one was definitely used for the battle with the WWs.
Let's take a quick look at what or was spotted here.
1) The unsullied with their armor and weapons.
2) The Dothraki 3) Men in green suit riding horses
4) Smoke and mists 5) Fire
6) A Trebuchet
Maybe the fire is from the dragons, who will try to burn the wights.
OR maybe the northerners will use the trebuchets to throw fireballs at the wights or at Viserion
because as I had explained in my videos before, Viserion is a Wight, and Wights can't bear
the touch of fire.
Not even a little bit.
As for the green suited men on horses, you can tell from this BTS picture from "Beyond
the wall episode" that these suits are worn to show wights.
The recently dead wights don't need a green suit, unless they have to show missing or
decaying body parts, which means, these are really OLD, skeletal wights, like the ones
we saw in the cave scene.
But why they are sitting on a horse?
So far, we have NEVER seen any wight sitting on a horse, but as I've proved in my Bran's
journey & prediction video before, the wights are not mindless creatures.
They have their own mind, they can retain their memories and can also plan an attack
just like Othor and Jafer Flowers did.
You can check out my Bran's journey video for a detailed explanation.
Maybe it was the WWs who never allowed them to ride a horse until now?
I wanna thank Dragongirl15 for sharing these pictures with me.
Maybe the WWs will order the wights to ride horses to counter the human horse riders.
In this picture, you can see BOTH the Dothraki AND the green suited wights.
It's hard to say if these dothraki will be alive or dead because as I had said before,
the recently dead Dothraki will look exactly the same except for their wounds, which do
not heal upon their death or reanimation, whether it's an Ice wight or a fire wight.
So do you think these are Dothraki fighting the wights or they ARE the wights themselves?
Lemme know in the comments.
You can also see the men carrying torches in these pictures, both lit and unlit.
At first I thought they were spears, but in another pic, you can see a well lit torch
too.
I also noticed 2 figures walking towards each other next to a huge bonfire, and they stood
there talking for some time.
Maybe the bon fire is there as a ready weapon, in case they get attacked by the wights?
Or maybe Melisandre will return to westweros and will perform another sacrifice.
What do you think?
My Jolly Sailor Bold had commented, it looks like 4 figures are fighting a WW and I agree
here.
It seems like someone small or rather smaller than the ones fighting there, got hurt or
fell down on his/her knees, and got up later.
According to WOTW, For a sequence of aerial shots set in episode three, the Night King's
army will slowly advance through the snow, amid lit bonfires.
By this point, right in the mid-season, the army of the dead will be composed of wildlings
and brothers of the Night's Watch.
Brienne and Jaime will be present in this battle and they will be fighting the wights
side by side in episode 4, which means they will finally reunite in or around WF in the
2nd or 3rd episode.
I guess this will be a perfect date in Brienne's mind.
Right? :P
Anyways, they were only there for a one night shoot.
Does this mean one of them will die or is it just they won't get much footage in this
episode?
What do you think?
It looks like Arya will be a part of this battle too.
Some time ago, Maisie Williams had said in an interview with Metro, "I am currently
on my way to a night shoot, which is week 4 of 12 weeks of night shoots.
It's just huge.
The task is huge.
But, there's no better way to leave the show, to be honest."
Are you thinking what I am thinking right now?
She said "There's no better way to leave the show."
Does this mean Arya will die in this epic battle?
I've already discussed the signs of Arya's death in my "Arya's death foreshadowing
video" last year.
It's possible she might not survive this battle.
And I loved Cliffe FC's theory too.
Cliffe had said, "Perhaps Nymeria was reintroduced in season 7 because Arya is going to die very
soon, and when she does, her spirit will transfer to her direwolf."
I completely agree here.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nymeria arrives with her pack to help Arya and Arya's spirit
goes into Nymeria after she dies.
Maybe that's why D&D have kept Orell's part in the show when they had cut so many
others.
What do you think?
Joe Dempsie aka Gendry has also said in an interview with Digital Spy that he has been
filming "a fair bit."
In a way, he also said he would be there when it will all go down.
Is it possible that Gendry will fight right beside Arya in this battle?
Judging from his words, it looks like he might be a part of the final battle.
DavyOrr's video showed someone fighting with a burning sword, and I heard some kind
of chanting in the background.
It sounded familiar to me and I looked up season 1, & found the scene I was looking
for.
Do you remember the scene in the Vaes Dothraki where Dany has to eat the horse's heart?
Remember the chanting in this scene?
It seemed A LOT like this.
According to Jorah Mormont, this chanting meant, "The prince is riding.
I have heard the thunder of his hooves.
Swift as the wind he rides.
His enemies will cower before him.
And their wives will weep tears of blood.
She is going to have a boy."
But why would the Dothraki chant in the middle of a battle?
Maybe they are praying to their gods?
Or maybe this chant mean the same thing as it did before?
Does this mean Dany will have a boy?
Or maybe Jon will finally get Lightbringer, and this is a chanting to support his becoming
AA or the PTWP?
What do you think?
Can you hear the chanting too?
We also saw a picture of Jon riding a dragon.
I know most of you think it's probably fake, but if you will compare Dany's dragon buck
in this picture with Jon's dragon buck, you can see that Dany's dragon buck seems
way bigger than Jon's.
As for which dragon he will ride, assuming that it wasn't fake, I'd say he would
ride Rhaegal.
Rhaegal was named after Jon's father Rhaegar.
It seems fitting that Jon will ride that dragon.
What do you think?
As for Jon & Dany's picture, it does seem like she is holding a baby but it's hard
to say for sure.
Some people think that they are getting married.
I had previously thought that they would get married in front of the Heart tree, but in
this picture, Jon isn't wearing his fur cloak, so if they do get married, it would
probably be inside.
Anyways, that's all for today's updates and it's time for the comment shoutout now.
Todays comment shoutout goes to LL, who said, "I always enjoy your videos.
Especially about anything Stark.
Your take on Sansa's future is original, especially about the Lyanna connection and
dying in childbirth eventually."
Thanks a lot LL.
House Stark has ALWAYS been my favourite.
I feel like I know them inside out.
But this time I was thinking of focusing on someone else.
I asked my patrons about which character I should choose for my next "Journey and Predictions"
video, and so far, Dany seems to be winning.
So, what do you think of these theories, don't forget to tell us in the comments.
