Calcutta-style Chilli Chicken: An Indian–Chinese dish born in the Chinatowns of Calcutta
boneless chicken thigh 250g
thighs are juicier, and don't become tough and dry when cooked
cut chicken in 3cm cubes
for the marinade
egg white half an egg (15g), dark soy sauce 15g
chinese cooking wine 10g (optional)
pepper ½ tsp
crush 2g ginger, 2g garlic, 3g salt
baking soda 1 pinch (for crispiness), cornflour 12g
pour half over the chicken; we'll use the other half in step 7
marinate chicken until you prep and cook the sauce (about 30 mins)
onions 75g, 3cm squares
capsicum 50g, 3cm squares
ginger 5g, finely chopped
garlic 5g, finely chopped
green chillies 10g, cut on the bias
spring onions for garnish (optional)
the sauce cooks very fast, in under 5 minutes prep everything beforehand
dark soy sauce 8g, light soy sauce 8g
chinese cooking wine 10g (optional), vinegar 10g
tomato ketchup 20g, red chilli sauce 15g
salt 2g, pepper 1 tsp
msg 1 pinch
chicken stock 75g
keep sauce solution ready before you start cooking
make a thick, smooth slurry of ½ tsp cornflour
and 1 tsp water
cornflour helps thicken the sauce, but too much can ruin the taste
before you begin get the pan as hot as you can—we will cook on high heat
keep everything (veggies, sauces, slurry) within arm's reach—the sauce will cook very fast, in under 5 minutes
heat 20g vegetable oil
dried red chillies
onions & capsicum
fry on high heat
20g sugar
caramelise sugar for 1 minute to get the gorgeous, sticky sauce we associate with chilli chicken
green chillies & ginger: fry for 30 seconds
fry garlic for 30 seconds; don't let it brown
sauce solution
when it comes to a boil...
add cornflour slurry
turn off the heat—we'll come back to the sauce later
to coat the chicken
cornflour ¼ cup (30g), plain flour (maida) ¼ cup (30g)
salt 3g, baking powder ¼ tsp (for crispiness)
add the second half of the marinade we reserved in step 2
mix until flour resembles breadcrumbs in texture
toss 3–4 pieces of chicken at a time
press cornflour mixture onto the chicken
dust off excess
deep fry in hot oil (170°C)
toss to fry evenly, until golden
heat up the sauce and add the chicken
we breaded and fried the chicken last so that it remains crisp when served
OPTIONAL: finish with chilli oil
spring onions
serve immediately, before the chicken goes soggy!

concrete and abstract painting, by using palette knives

Decorating cakes with this method is a great alternative to piping
And it also gives a more contemporary look to a cake

My Top Favorite TV Show: Summer Edition - Duration: 7:29.

I'm going to tell you about all my favourite TV shows for this summer so
let's get to it so I want to start with the shows that I have to catch up on
this summer because there are just so many great shows and it gets hard to
keep up with each one every week and I get a little behind so I have talked
about some of these before so if you're not familiar with them you can check out
my last top favorite videos and check out the show surprisingly I'm actually
only behind on three shows the first one is Gotham which I still love but always
get behind on and I think I have more than half of the season to go and I
don't think all the episodes are on Hulu anymore so I might have to wait until
the whole season goes up on Netflix to finish the second show is this is us but
I think I'm only a few episodes behind on that and finally Grey's Anatomy which
I'm only one episode behind in but I already watched the season finale I'm
just weird about watching every episode in a series so I have to go back and
watch the one that I missed okay now for the shows that just start it for the
summer and I'm only gonna mention two even though there are a bunch more that
you could try out but there's really only two on my radar that I would highly
recommend first younger which I have to admit was a show I didn't start watching
until my mom did and I thought I wasn't going to like it it kind of seemed like
it would be lame and something I wouldn't be into but I was so wrong
younger is funny it's stylish it's sexy is relevant and it has a unique but not
obnoxious take on Millennials so the show is about this 40 year old woman who
gets divorced and then decides to go back into the workforce but can't get a
job because of her age so she changes it and tells everyone that she's 26 and
then lands a job as an assistant at a prominent publishing house and it has
Hilary Duff and to top it off if you're a fan of the originals they just brought
on Charles Michael Davis as a series regular he did guests are in
a few episodes last season but they brought him back to stay for season 5
the other show that I'll be watching this summer is animal kingdom which I've
been about since it started back in summer 2016 mainly because of Sean Hoshi
who is from so many great shows like Southland and movies and then Finn Cole
who's from peaky blinders and then Ben Robson who was on Vikings so so many of
my favorite shows coming together to make this awesome crime family drama and
at the head of the family is badass Queen Smurf played by Ellen Barkin and
she is amazing this show takes some twists and turns too that you wouldn't
necessarily expect like this season it's looking like one of the main characters
is dead and his girlfriend is responsible but she's pretending she's
not and the family has to retaliate but Smurfs in jail and that leaves Jay in
charge played by Fink ol but no one's gonna listen to him his uncles are not
gonna do what he says least of all poke played by Shawn and I
don't know what's gonna happen and I'm kind of still in denial
but I'm here for all of it I do have to mention one other show that's airing
this summer but I can't watch it yet because it only airs in the UK and
that's Poldark I love this show so much and I can't wait till the air is here
but until then I am rewatching the series from the beginning now on to some
other summer shows that aren't on just yet but should air before the end of the
summer first ray Donovan on Showtime starring lief Shriver which is such a
great show and I've been loving it every season since it started it is in its
sixth season now and hopefully we see an heir in August that's when it aired last
season but they haven't actually released a date yet so we're hoping
hoping for August a little side note here if you're not
familiar with a lot of these shows or you want to know where you can watch
them I'm gonna link them all up in the description below so you can check them
out later another show I cannot wait for to come back this summer is insecure on
HBO and I really only just discovered this show but I really like
and in starting its third season on August 6 so if you're down for a funny
and sexy comedy you should definitely check this out a little change of pace
for this next show man in the high castle on Amazon Prime and this one is
about a world where the Nazis won World War two but there's this alternate
universe that's somehow accessible and it shows the Americans winning and I
believe it's based on a book the show itself is so good and if that premise is
so interesting and the execution is pretty flawless it's starting its third
season which is expected before the end of the summer so if that sounds
interesting you should be on the lookout for that one and finally I've talked
about this show before because it is truly such a great show and that
shameless it starts its nice season on August 9th and I'm not sure about
rewatching this one but maybe I'll watch my favorite episodes from each season
that seems more doable okay before I wrap it up I have to do an honorary
mention of two show's first Barry on HBO starring Bill Hader who I believe also
directs and writes the show and if you love Bill Hader you will love this show
it's so funny and then altered carbon on Netflix which I binge decouple months
ago but I'm still reeling from it it is so good and I started watching it for
Joel Kinnaman and I just loved him and then James Purefoy is in it as well but
it's about this like alternate not alternate universe but what's the word
I'm looking for post-apocalyptic universe where people
can upload their consciousness onto something called stacks and then you can
put you can implant your stack into other bodies or sleeves and there was
this war that took place like 250 years ago or more than that to stop that from
happening but the rebels lost and now in the future this rich guy gets murdered
and he implants himself into another sleeve and then hires Joel's character
or sleeve to come back and solve his murder
and I believe the whole series is based on a book series and it's not perfect
but it is totally addictive and there's a lot of speculation on whether or not
Netflix is gonna renew for season two because of the whole receiving process
it would be the same characters but different people playing those
characters but it is totally worth watching this show and waiting for a
possible season two so those are my top favorite shows for the summer let me

Im not one of Wimbledon favourites, insists Novak Djokovic.
Novak Djokovic may have won Wimbledon three times, but the former world number one insists he isnt one of the favourites to land the All England Club crown this year.
Djokovic stepped up his Wimbledon preparations by sweeping into the Queens Club quarter-finals with a 6-4, 6-1 demolition of Grigor Dimitrov on Thursday.
The 31-year-old needed only 65 minutes to crush world number five Dimitrov and he will face Adrian Mannarino or Julien Benneteau in the last eight after recording the 799th win of his career.
It was Djokovics first success against a top 10 player in just over a year and the impressive display suggested he made the right decision to play at Queens for the first time since 2010.
But even so, Djokovic doesnt believe he should be expected to dethrone defending champion Roger Federer at Wimbledon next month.
Lets not get too ahead of ourselves too early.
Im definitely not one of the favourites for Wimbledon, he said.
Roger is the clear favourite without a doubt.
(Rafael) Nadal maybe hasnt played well at Wimbledon by his standards, but hes won it several times.
Hes definitely one of the candidates to win the title.
Andy (Murray) and myself if we play well (can be contenders).
We dropped in the rankings, but Andy played really well against Nick Kyrgios here.
He has home support, things can go in a good direction if he plays well at Wimbledon. Djokovics caution comes as he sits a lowly 22nd in the ATP rankings.

Im still finding my form.
This was a great test against one of the top players in the world who prefers this surface.
I was looking forward to the challenge.
I was very focused to give my best performance and I managed to deliver.
I havent had that consistency in my game.
Mentally Ive been trying to put things together in the last three or four months.
These two matches have been exactly what I needed.

keep up with each one every week and I get a little behind so I have talked
about some of these before so if you're not familiar with them you can check out
my last top favorite videos and check out the show surprisingly I'm actually
only behind on three shows the first one is Gotham which I still love but always
get behind on and I think I have more than half of the season to go and I
don't think all the episodes are on Hulu anymore so I might have to wait until
the whole season goes up on Netflix to finish the second show is this is us but
I think I'm only a few episodes behind on that and finally Grey's Anatomy which
I'm only one episode behind in but I already watched the season finale I'm
just weird about watching every episode in a series so I have to go back and
watch the one that I missed okay now for the shows that just start it for the
summer and I'm only gonna mention two even though there are a bunch more that
you could try out but there's really only two on my radar that I would highly
recommend first younger which I have to admit was a show I didn't start watching
until my mom did and I thought I wasn't going to like it it kind of seemed like
it would be lame and something I wouldn't be into but I was so wrong
younger is funny it's stylish it's sexy is relevant and it has a unique but not
obnoxious take on Millennials so the show is about this 40 year old woman who
gets divorced and then decides to go back into the workforce but can't get a
job because of her age so she changes it and tells everyone that she's 26 and
then lands a job as an assistant at a prominent publishing house and it has
Hilary Duff and to top it off if you're a fan of the originals they just brought
on Charles Michael Davis as a series regular he did guests are in
a few episodes last season but they brought him back to stay for season 5
the other show that I'll be watching this summer is animal kingdom which I've
been about since it started back in summer 2016 mainly because of Sean Hoshi
who is from so many great shows like Southland and movies and then Finn Cole
who's from peaky blinders and then Ben Robson who was on Vikings so so many of
my favorite shows coming together to make this awesome crime family drama and
at the head of the family is badass Queen Smurf played by Ellen Barkin and
she is amazing this show takes some twists and turns too that you wouldn't
necessarily expect like this season it's looking like one of the main characters
is dead and his girlfriend is responsible but she's pretending she's
not and the family has to retaliate but Smurfs in jail and that leaves Jay in
charge played by Fink ol but no one's gonna listen to him his uncles are not
gonna do what he says least of all poke played by Shawn and I
don't know what's gonna happen and I'm kind of still in denial
but I'm here for all of it I do have to mention one other show that's airing
this summer but I can't watch it yet because it only airs in the UK and
that's Poldark I love this show so much and I can't wait till the air is here
but until then I am rewatching the series from the beginning now on to some
other summer shows that aren't on just yet but should air before the end of the
summer first ray Donovan on Showtime starring lief Shriver which is such a
great show and I've been loving it every season since it started it is in its
sixth season now and hopefully we see an heir in August that's when it aired last
season but they haven't actually released a date yet so we're hoping
hoping for August a little side note here if you're not
familiar with a lot of these shows or you want to know where you can watch
them I'm gonna link them all up in the description below so you can check them
out later another show I cannot wait for to come back this summer is insecure on
HBO and I really only just discovered this show but I really like
and in starting its third season on August 6 so if you're down for a funny
and sexy comedy you should definitely check this out a little change of pace
for this next show man in the high castle on Amazon Prime and this one is
about a world where the Nazis won World War two but there's this alternate
universe that's somehow accessible and it shows the Americans winning and I
believe it's based on a book the show itself is so good and if that premise is
so interesting and the execution is pretty flawless it's starting its third
season which is expected before the end of the summer so if that sounds
interesting you should be on the lookout for that one and finally I've talked
about this show before because it is truly such a great show and that
shameless it starts its nice season on August 9th and I'm not sure about
rewatching this one but maybe I'll watch my favorite episodes from each season
that seems more doable okay before I wrap it up I have to do an honorary
mention of two show's first Barry on HBO starring Bill Hader who I believe also
directs and writes the show and if you love Bill Hader you will love this show
it's so funny and then altered carbon on Netflix which I binge decouple months
ago but I'm still reeling from it it is so good and I started watching it for
Joel Kinnaman and I just loved him and then James Purefoy is in it as well but
it's about this like alternate not alternate universe but what's the word
I'm looking for post-apocalyptic universe where people
can upload their consciousness onto something called stacks and then you can
put you can implant your stack into other bodies or sleeves and there was
this war that took place like 250 years ago or more than that to stop that from
happening but the rebels lost and now in the future this rich guy gets murdered
and he implants himself into another sleeve and then hires Joel's character
or sleeve to come back and solve his murder
and I believe the whole series is based on a book series and it's not perfect
but it is totally addictive and there's a lot of speculation on whether or not
Netflix is gonna renew for season two because of the whole receiving process
it would be the same characters but different people playing those
characters but it is totally worth watching this show and waiting for a
possible season two so those are my top favorite shows for the summer let me

Jun 22, 2018 AceShowbiz - Trent Reznor has slammed the intense media coverage of Kanye West, as he thinks the rapper has "lost his mind"
Kanye caused a media sensation in April by tweeting in support of U.S. President Donald Trump and claiming in an interview that slavery seemed like a "choice"
The hip-hop legend sparked another frenzy by launching his new album "Ye", his first since he was hospitalised in 2016 following an apparent breakdown, with a lavish party at a ranch in Wyoming last month
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Trent criticised the number of column inches devoted to Kanye's controversial statements and new record, claiming the album "sucked" and journalists should've been unafraid to question his wellbeing
Trent said: "How many Kanye West thinkpieces have the Guardian done in the last f**king month? The guy's lost his f**king mind: that's the thinkpiece
His record sucked, and that's it. He has made great s**t; he's not in a great place right now
" The 53-year-old musician also criticised today's artists for being more concerned with their social media profile than their music
"I don't think great art comes from being overly concerned or hyper-aware of what your audience's expectations are," he explained
"Market your brand: that's part of what being an artist is, sadly." The Nine Inch Nails rocker also said he believes social media has been a "poisonous" influence on people's lives and added: "I think you're seeing the fall of the empire of America in real time, before your eyes; the internet has eroded the fabric of decency in our civilisation
" One rapper who has impressed Trent however, is Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino - whose recent track "This Is America" and its accompanying video he singled out for praise
"Choreography: excellent," he said of the video, which features Donald dancing energetically in front of a violently riots
"Camerawork: excellent. What's actually being said: I'm really thinking about it
I feel humbled by that - it reminded me that the bar can be as high as it needs to be
