15 Restaurant Franchises That Immediately Tanked - Duration: 8:50.
• What restaurant franchise closed after causing the biggest Hepatitis-A outbreak in
American history?
What doomed hamburger chain invented a version of the Happy Meal six years before McDonald's?
Some of these were successful for a while, and some bombed from the start, but here are
15 restaurants that just absolutely tanked.
15 –Howard Johnson's • At one point, Howard Johnson's restaurants
were serving more American families than anyone outside of the U.S. Army.
• The distinct orange roof was as much as signature look as McDonald's golden arches,
but several changes in ownership slowly killed the company, which also operated a chain of
hotels under the same name.
• When Marriott divested from the fast food industry, the restaurants were left to die
slowly.
The final one closed in October of 2017.
14 –Sambo's • As the story goes, Sambo's was named
using bits of its founders' names – Sam Battistone and Newell Bohnett.
• Supposedly, the connection to the racist children's book "Little Black Sambo"
was coincidental… despite them decorating the restaurants WITH SCENES FROM THE BOOK.
• Still, the chain became hugely successful, operating over eleven-hundred stores at its
peak.
• The chain collapsed in the 1980s, and sold most of its locations to Denny's and
other chains.
Today, there is only one location remaining in Santa Barbara, California.
13 –Kenny Rogers Roasters • Country singer Kenny Rogers opened his
infamous line of rotisserie chicken restaurants in 1991, grew to over 400 locations, went
bankrupt, and closed all but one by 1998.
• It is now best remembered as being a plot device in a pretty good episode of Seinfeld.
• But believe it or not, Kenny Rogers Roasters, after a couple of ownership changes, is a
hugely-successful and fast-growing chain… in Asia.
• There are over 150 locations across Southeast Asia, including one in the Beijing Capital
International Airport.
12 –Lum's • It might not be hard to imagine how a
restaurant based around hot dogs would go out of business.
• But Lum's steamed their hot dogs in BEER, so they did okay for a while there.
• Unfortunately, the owners of the successful Florida franchise extended themselves too
far, buying the Caesars Palace Casino on the Las Vegas Strip in 1969, and selling the Lum'shot
dog franchises.
• The franchise – and its new owners – were bankrupt by 1982.
11 –Chi-Chi's • When Chi-Chi's opened in the American
Midwest in the 1970s, it enjoyed incredible success as one of the only Mexican-themed
chain restaurants in the region.
• But by 2003, the chain had gained competition, and lost a lot of originality.
• And then they caused the largest Hepatitis-A outbreak in American history at a restaurant
in Pittsburgh, infecting 660 people and killing 4 with contaminated green onions.
• Today, Chi-Chi's only exists as a brand of salsa sold by Hormel.
And nine locations in Belgium, for some reason.
10 –Childs • Childs is one of the first casual dining
chains in the United States, ever.
• It brought restaurant-style dining – which was once a uniquely high-class – at prices
normal people could afford.
It was one of the first chains to maintain a consistent look between branches for branding
recognition.
• Childs peaked in the 1920s and 1930s, but began to tank after owner William Childs
began to shift the menu to his own vegetarian preferences.
• In 1961, it was bought and phased out by the Riese Organization, owners of T.G.I.
Fridays, Applebees, and Dunkin' Donuts.
9 –Steak and Ale • Norman Brinker is the man behind Jack-in-the-Box
and Chili's.
But he's also the man behind the far less-successful Steak and Ale.
• Steak and Ale was one of the first restaurants to feature a self-serve salad bar, and in
1966, it served an 8-ounce steak for a $1.95.
• But Steak and Ale signalled a boom in the fast-casual style of dining, and it couldn't
keep up with its new competition.
• Its last 50 locations closed in 2009, but the owners of Bennigans have bought the
rights to the chain, and are planning to revive it.
8 –Gino's Hamburgers • Gino's Hamburgers was opened by NFL
Hall-of-Famer Gino Marchetti, and became one of the first fast-food restaurants to use
sports as a major selling point in 1957.
• The chain did well, until it was bought by Roy Rogers in 1982, which converted most
of the locations… and then tanked THOSE locations as well.
• The chain was revived in 2010, and now operates two locations in Pennsylvania under
the name "Gino's Burgers and Chicken."
7 –Roy Rogers • Unlike many of these franchises, Roy Rogers
actually somewhat survived its nosedive.
But in 1990, the franchise operated 648 locations.
Today it barely has 50.
• Most of the other 600 locations were sold to Burger King, Wendy's, and Boston Market.
Others were converted to Hardee's.
• The chain may be making a comeback, though, as 8 East Coast franchises opened in 2015
and 2016 alone.
6 –Burger Chef • In a lot of ways, Burger Chef was a better
McDonald's.
The chain pioneered a new technology that could cook burgers faster than anyone: 800
per hour.
• They even pioneered the idea of a "Fun Meal" in 1973 – a kid-sized meal with
a small burger, fries, dessert, drink, and toy.
McDonald's "invented" the Happy Meal six years later.
• The company behind Burger Chef optimistically opened over A THOUSAND locations across the
United States between 1958 and 1972.
• But that overexpansion did them in as a company, and the whole operation was sold
to Hardee's and phased out in 1981.
5 –Minnie Pearl's Chicken • Minnie Pearl's Chicken came up in the
1960s as a competitor – or imitator – to newly-established chain Kentucky Fried Chicken,
and unlike KFC, it had the name of a famous country starlet attached to it.
• The company behind the chain started selling franchises faster than they could open them.
They had sold 300 stores, but only opened five.
• At that point, they took their stock public, and announced two NEW franchise ideas – one
chain named after a gospel singer, and Minnie Pearl's Roast Beef.
• Soon, the company's practice of expand first, run a business later, caught up with
it.
Not only were individual businesses not especially successful, but they were artificially inflating
stock prices by misreporting franchises fees for locations that never opened.
• They became the subject of a federal fraud investigation, and that was the end of Minnie
Pearl's Chicken.
4 –G.D. Ritzy's • G.D. Ritzy's was a Columbus, Ohio-based
chain of 50's diner-themed burger joints.
• The restaurants grew out of a management dispute with a number of local Wendy's franchisees,
who eventually split and opened their own chain together.
• The first location opened in 1980, but all the local restaurants were closed by 1991,
leaving only three operating franchises – in West Virginia, Indiana, and Kentucky.
• Plans are currently in motion to re-open a Ritzy's in Columbus at the site of a former
used car lot.
3 –Shrimp Boats • For some reason, this Southeastern US
seafood chain went by two names: The Shrimp Boat – that's BOAT, singular; and Shrimp
Boats – that's BOATS, plural.
• Adding the "S" was apparently an attempt at re-branding… but why?
• And the history of this franchise is even more confusing than that.
Most of the franchises were independently owned, and simply re-branded to become Shrimp
Boats, which means this was barely a chain at all.
• It was more like just a bunch of seafood restaurants that happened to share a name.
Five of them still exist, and the only thing they seem to share in common is the sign.
2 –White Tower • White Tower was a blatant rip-off of White
Castle, developed after its creators investigated the White Castle franchise, and then hired
one of its operators.
They even designed the restaurant with the twin castle towers.
• Despite the obvious infringement, White Tower was fairly successful, expanding even
during the Great Depression and eventually opening 230 locations.
• Eventually, White Castle won a court ruling against their blatant copycats, forcing them
to change their design.
The company eventually imploded, and now the last White Tower sits alone in Toledo, Ohio.
1 –All-Star Cafe • At most, there were only ever 10 locations
of the "Official" All-Star Café.
But you'd never know it, because there was an ALL-OUT BLITZ of advertising about it in
the 1990s.
• It was basically a Planet Hollywood or Hard Rock Café, but for sports.
Shaq, Ken Griffey Junior, Wayne Gretzky, and Joe Montana all invested in it and advertised
for it.
• But despite the star power behind it, the All-Star Café opened in 1995, and closed
its final location in 2007, for a total of 12 years
in business.

Iyanla to Trina Braxton: "Hush!" | Iyanla: Fix My Life | Oprah Winfrey Network - Duration: 1:14.
IYANLA VANZANT: What did you teach him about being a man?
GABE SOLIS: I don't know if I've ever taught him anything about being a man.
-Hm, and what did you teach him about being in relationships?
-I don't know if I've ever sat down with him and talked to him
and being in relationships -
-So now he's a young man that you're trying to have a relationship
with and you haven't taught him anything.
-Yeah.
-Cause you've been in his life since he was how old?
-2.
-2.
And what did you request of him, as it relates to your son?
TRINA BRAXTON: Well, first let me backtrack just a little bit, um,
I don't feel like you didn't teach them anything, sometimes-
-Excuse me, you can't tell him -
-I can't backtrack?
-No.
-Well, because, let me look at you, I feel like Gabe has taught him -
-Ah, wait a minute!
-Taught them things by visualizing.
-I asked Gabe. I said, what did you teach him about being a man,
and he said I didn't teach him anything!
And you tellin' me, I think he thought somethin' else.
Hush!
[LAUGHING]
GABE: Well I don't think you have to specifically teach somebody to
be something.
IYANLA: Wrong!
-You could, no, somebody could watch you do something and
learn how to do something.
-Well, look what he watched.

BREAKING: Obama's FBI Agent Was Officially CHARGED And That's Just The Start… - Duration: 6:24.
BREAKING: Obama's FBI Agent Was Officially CHARGED And That's Just The Start…
From the inception of the Trump Administration, they've been plagued by leaks.
Security officials have been determined to find and stop the leaks, but up until now,
it's been stopping one leak only to find another in its place.
The general theory has been that the Obama era holdovers were responsible for making
sure that the Trump Administration was neutralized by their information going out to adversarial
media outlets, almost in real time.
While several of the leaks have been found to be very close to the President, there have
been others popping up along the way as well.
However, information provided by both the Daily Wire and Fox News points to a criminal
information leak coming out of the Justice Department.
More specifically, the FBI.
Ironically, the investigation that disgruntled Democrats insisted on, following the 2016
win of President Trump, has been what uncovered the corruption on the part of federal employees
who sympathize with the leftist agenda.
According to Daily Wire, the most recent source of the leaks is an FBI agent with short ties
to former FBI Director James Comey:
"This week, the Justice Department's National Security Division charged an FBI agent based
in Minneapolis with leaking classified information to the media in a move similar to other recent
alleged leaks, including by former FBI Director James Comey.
Terry James Albury, who worked in counterterrorism, was charged with 'one count of 'knowingly
and willfully' transmitting documents and information relating to national defense to
a reporter for a national news organization,' Minnesota Public Radio reported.
Albury faces another criminal charge for refusing to hand over documents to the government.
Albury is the second person to be charged with leaking classified material to The Intercept;
an intelligence contractor was charged in June 2017 "with leaking a classified report
about Russia's interference in the 2016 election."
While a search warrant that was filed in federal court did not identify the news outlet that
Albury allegedly leaked to, a review by MPR 'found the documents described in the search
warrant that Albury leaked exactly match the trove of FBI documents posted by The Intercept.'
'The FBI believes that the classified and/or controlled nature of the documents indicates
the News Outlet obtained these documents from someone with direct access to them,' the
warrant stated.
'Furthermore, reviews of the FBI internal records indicate ALBURY has electronically
accessed over two-thirds of the approximately 27 documents via trusted access granted to
him on FBI information systems.'"
This case with Agent Albury isn't the first of it's kind.
A similar case was made concerning the actions made by Comey in 2017, as Fox News reported
in January 2018:
"Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley is pressing the Justice Department
for answers on whether James Comey violated bureau rules, saying it appears the former
FBI director leaked 'at least one' classified memo to a professor friend shortly after his
firing.Grassley, R-Iowa, penned a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein late
Wednesday, saying he and his staff had reviewed the Comey memos which were 'created purportedly
memorializing his interactions with President Trump.'
They did so in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) at the FBI and the Senate,
because the FBI deemed the 'majority of the memos' to be 'classified.'
'Of the seven memos, four are marked classified at the 'SECRET'or 'CONFIDENTIAL' levels,'
Grassley wrote, adding that 'only three did not contain classified information.'
Grassley's letter appears to back up July 2017 reports that several of Comey's private
memos contained classified material.
The Hill first reported this development; Fox News confirmed with a legal source at
the time that some material contained classified information.
The president seized on those reports at the time with a tweet saying: 'That is so illegal!'
Comey admitted in congressional testimony in June 2017 that he had given his friend,
Columbia University Professor Daniel Richman, his memos about discussions with Trump in
order to have his notes leaked to The New York Times — hoping to spur the appointment
of a special counsel to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign.
Richman told Fox News in July that he indeed received four memos from Comey, but said none
of them were marked classified.
Richman told Fox News that only the 'substance' of one memo, not the physical document, was
given to the press.
'That was not classified at the time, and remains unclassified,' he said."
No matter how many loopholes the agents and other anti-Trumpers try to jump through, much
of the interpretation of the law, and who to prosecute on behalf of it, is left the
discretion of the prosecutors themselves.
To that end, it potential leakers would do well to remember that while there are still
holdouts, the Justice Department is being run by the Trump Administration now. It's
very clear from context what is required of FBI agents.
The FBI employee agreement, which all agents must sign, states: "Unauthorized disclosure,
misuse, or negligent handling of information contained in the files, electronic or paper,
of the FBI or which I may acquire as an employee of the FBI could impair national security,
place human life in jeopardy, result in the denial of due process, prevent the FBI from
effectively discharging its responsibilities, or violate federal law."
Working for the federal government means bowing to the authority you're left with, or quitting.
Hindering the carriage of justice isn't on the list of options.

Iyanla Lays Into Trina Braxton and Her Ex for Their Parenting Failures | Iyanla: Fix My Life | OWN - Duration: 1:38.
IYANLA VANZANT: What...in the hell?
What in the hell?
Was going on between you, that these two
young men show up here today...in this shape?
Do you have any idea what I'm talkin' about?
'Cause either you lyin' or you confused.
TRINA BRAXTON: I don't even know what you're talkin' about.
IYANLA: You have no idea how disconnected and enraged Caleb is.
These two young men weren't raised!
You chasin' fame, and you chasin' ass!
And these two boys growin' up on their own.
Are you aware that he has not liked him since you brought him in the door?!
TRINA: No.
IYANLA: Why don't you know?!
-The words that you're saying, and seeing them at home
is totally contradictory.
I'm not dismissing his feelings at all-
IYANLA: He don't have no feelings.
He shut them off a long time ago.
Just like you.
And you.
GABE SOLIS: That's not true.
IYANLA: Oh, what? That you shut your feelings off?
-No, that somebody can shut their feelings off.
-Oh yeah, yeah it is.
You are neck-down-dead.
You can't think about what you feel!
You gotta feel it, Gabe!
And if this boy could feel your heart. You!
Who took care of your children!
And didn't even have his own!
And for that boy to sit in my face and tell me
he hates him, that's on you!
Not on him!

Haggard Hillary Just Received Worst News Of Her Life Today – She's Lost It ALL - Duration: 5:25.
Haggard Hillary Just Received Worst News Of Her Life Today – She's Lost It ALL
The former Secretary of State and twice failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton
is in New Jersey for what is being billed as a very rare public appearance since she
had her rear end handed to her by Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election.
Hillary has been traveling and was recently caught in a viral video falling down steps
in India.
She also had a wrist injury and spent time in a hospital.
After that, she was caught wearing a garb that covered her right arm.
Now she's back in America and up next for the former first lady is a rare speaking appearance.
She used to do more appearances but has simmered down in her old age.
She also used to earn a lot more money for showing up to blabber, but now she's basically
working for political peanuts.
She's scheduled to talk at Rutgers University.
It's reported that they will pay Hilary Clinton $25k to speak about politics, democracy
and the way she has shaped how women are seen in politics.
The sold-out event is being sponsored by Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics which will
be held at Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway.
This has been Clinton's third public appearance in the state of New Jersey where she previously
campaigned for then-gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy.
NJ.com reported more on Hillary Clinton's appearance at Rutgers University: "Former
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is back in New Jersey Thursday for a rare
public appearance since she lost in her bid for the White House against President Donald
Trump.
Clinton is expected to talk politics, American democracy and her role in shaping women's
political history.
Rutgers will pay Clinton $25,000 from an endowment but use no money from tuition or state aid,
according to the university.
A Clinton spokesperson told NBC the former secretary of state plans to donate the honorarium
for the speech to charity.
Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics will host the event to be held at Rutgers Athletic
Center in Piscataway.
It's sold out.
Anyone interested in tickets can join the waitlist, or watch it on Rutgers University's
livestream.
Clinton made at least three public appearances in the Garden State since the presidential
election: She campaigned for then-gubernatorial candidate Phil Murphy for governor in October,
and then returned for another pro-Murphy event that same month with her husband, former President
Bill Clinton.
Hillary Clinton was in New Jersey the month before for a book signing in Montclair."
Hillary's previous going rates could grab her an easy $225,000 from speaking at events.
She's been absolutely minimized down to about 10%, which is quite paltry and probably
demeaning.
Her ego must be swimming in tears, but she's still pulling in a lot of money for talking
people to sleep at their college.
Her old rates allegedly soared as high as $325,000, but several sources were in disagreement
on if she was paid around $200,000 or over $300,000.
No one seems to know except for her.
Business Insider reported more on her previous speaking earnings: "Hillary Clinton says
she had a "restful" time following her tenure as Secretary of State, but that doesn't
mean she didn't make a lot of money.
During that time, she made nearly $12 million by charging fees that topped $335,000 for
dozens of speeches.
Clinton's speaking fees shed light on the industries willing to shill out big bucks
for a few minutes with the former Secretary of State.
As the Washington Post notes, a significant chunk of the money that Clinton made from
speeches came from tech companies.
eBay shilled out $315,000 for a speech that last 20 minutes, while Cisco paid $325,000
for Clinton to sit onstage with the company's CEO.
Salesforce.com brought Clinton back for multiple events.
And for discount spenders, Clinton offered a reduced price for remote addresses via satellite
video.
The former Secretary of State charged some of her lowest speaking fees to the California
Medical Association and Novo Nordisk for video speeches."
This must really have Hillary's ego in a tailspin.
She reportedly used to get at least $200k per speaking arrangement and now she has sunk
all the way down to $25k.
This means she is now making less than most retired sports stars.
Since she has now been reduced to only a "has been" she has to settle for making peanuts,
or what's considered peanuts to her.
It's really a sad time for Hillary Clinton if one compares her early career to her end.
One might think that at least someone in her life would care enough to sit her down and
just tell her it's time to call it a day and retire.
Do you want Hillary Clinton to retire?
Would you want her to speak at a college near you?
Who would you like to see speak at an event near you?

Iyanla on the Importance of Boundaries Between Exes | Iyanla: Fix My Life | OWN - Duration: 0:55.
IYANLA VANZANT: So, there's been some missteps along the way,
and you are okay with the relationship between you and Gabe
the way that it is now?
TRINA BRAXTON: What do you mean?
-Him staying in your house, you being there for him.
Being his wife on the other side of the divorce.
You okay with that?
-I never looked at it like that-
-See, I have an ex-husband-
GABE SOLIS: No, she ain't my wife on the other side of the divorce.
TRINA: Yeah, I don't see it like that.
IYANLA: Well, [SCOFFS] I have an ex-husband,
And he don't come to my house after he had surgery.
And we are dear friends, but he don't come
sleep up in my guest house cause he ain't got nowhere to live.
But that's just me.
Boundaries.

Yahoo, who reports that the ratings are breaking records.
The first episode in the double episode opener is reported to have drawn 17.7 million pairs
of eyes and have a 4.9 rating in adults 18-49.
The second episode at 8:30 PM rose even higher to 18.6 million viewers and a 5.3 in 18-49.
For the 8 PM hour, Roseanne averaged a 5.1 in 18-49 and 18.2 million viewers.
To make the success even more impressive is the fact that this broadcast shows an audience
that was up 10% from the May 1997 finale telecast 21 years ago and topped the viewership of
the final 12 telecasts of the original run's 1996-97 season.
Despite the obviously pro-Trump main character, Roseanne scored as the highest rated show
on entertainment television in 6 years among adults 18-49 and TV's highest-rated comedy
telecast on any night in 3-1/2 years– since 9/22/14.
It is the top scripted telecast this season only behind the post-Super Bowl episode of
This Is Us.
The question on many TV executives minds right now is no doubt "why?"
Why did this simple, revamp of classic break records and bring in more viewers than the
other, more politically correct re-boots (i.e.
Will and Grace)?
According to Breitbart News, it's their approach to the modern day problems that families
face being politically divided and the fact that they don't shy away from showing both
sides of the issue:
'Tuesday night's two-episode revival of Roseanne launched with the same emotional
flare that made the original Conner family working-class comedy a 90s cult classic, updated
for the millennial age and set in the Trump era.
After a 20-year hiatus, the magnanimous matriarch Roseanne Barr is reunited with her on-screen
husband Dan (John Goodman) and the pair face new family challenges — Roseanne's unemployed
daughter Darlene (Sara Gilbert) has moved in with her two children, Becky, (Alicia Goranson)
widowed, struggles to become a surrogate, and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) clashes with Roseanne
over the election of Donald Trump.
One emotional moment manufactures a rare TV siting: a flyover state denizen offering an
honest and raw, reason-based rationale for supporting Trump.
'He talked about jobs, Jackie!'
Roseanne says to her 'Nasty Woman' T-shirt-clad sister, who vocally supported Hillary Clinton
but walked into the booth and voted for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
'He said he'd shake things up!
I mean, this might come as a complete shock to you, but we almost lost our house, the
way things are going.'
Moments later, just before the family eats dinner, Roseanne says a prayer — she asks
Jackie, 'Would you like to take a knee?' — in which she thanks God for her son D.J.'s
(Michael Fishman) safe return home from his military service in Syria and 'most of all
Lord, thank you, for making America great again.'
Though the reboot is not steeped in political party politics, Roseanne admits, to the New
York Times, that she wanted 'to have that dialogue about families torn apart by the
election and their political differences of opinion and how we handle it.
I thought that this was an important thing to say at this time.'
Roseanne Barr told the Times, it's about 'How families are still struggling and what
they do about it.''There's an arc in this season, and it's the closest I've
been to doing what I want to do,' the 65-year-old said.
'It's about everything in our country.
It's about opioids and health care.
How we deal with whole new issues that we didn't even have before, like gender-fluid
kids.
How working class people — how and why they elected Trump.'
'It's an accurate portrayal of these people and people like them,' Roseanne said of
Trump voters.
'In terms of what they think, and how they feel when they are the ones who send their
kids over to fight.
We've been in wars for a long, long time, which everybody seems to forget — but working
class people don't forget it because their kids are in it.'
The second episode, 'Dress to Impress,' follows Darlene's gender fluid son Mark,
who enjoys wearing girls clothing.
The episode is dominated by familiar fare: school bullies, the pain of unfulfilled like
goals, and a parent's penchant for fixing their children's (or grandchildren's)
problems.
The cast (and the couch) is the same as the original award-winning show but the sharp
punchlines still land, and family values remain real."
Hollywood has consistently produced liberal television for our consumption and actors
and actresses for our children to look up to, and America is over it.
That was proven by the ratings that this anti-liberal narrative show brought with it.
While it's fully within the rights of each studio or executive to decide to produce whatever
programming they feel like making, if it's really about the money, and not about brainwashing,
we should start to see a lot more conservative-inclusive content.

After this Video, You'll Never See McDonald's Potatoes the Same Way - Duration: 5:19.
If you've ever prepared any chips in your life, you know that you do not need
lots of ingredients for this: potatoes, seasonings and oil for frying.
But have you stopped to realize how homemade chips are very different
of those you find in fast food chains, like McDonalds?
In fact, not all the fries are made Likewise.
In the case of McDonalds, the number of ingredients used in the preparation of their famous potatoes
fries is 14.
Will the McDonalds fries are really potatoes?
Who discovered the answer to this question was Grant Imahara's television program
Mythbusters.
When visiting the factory processing the potatoes from McDonalds in Idaho, Grant made the
Reverse engineering of frits to discover of what they are actually made of.
Here is an abbreviated list of ingredients:
- Potatoes; - Canola oil;
- Soy oil; - Hydrogenated soybean oil; - Seasoning with
meat flavoring - Hydrolyzed wheat; - Milk hydrolyzate - Citric acid - Butylhydroquinone
(TBHQ); an antioxidant that acts in the preservation of the food - Dimethylpolysiloxane - Dextrose.
In this immense list of ingredients, three of them are: Soybean oil
hydrogenated Perhaps the word "soy" does this oil looks healthy and natural, but
it is not.
By itself, soybean oil is not an option very healthy because it is rich in Omega 6,
a type of fat that is already consumed in excess in the American diet.
This type of fat also known as trans fat is being carried out by experts in
health as the worst fat of all.
Trans fat increases substrate production pro-inflammatory agents in the body, which
the risk of developing a number of diseases diseases, such as diabetes, neurological
and, mainly, cardiovascular diseases.
According to health web sites, these are some of the health problems associated with
to trans fat consumption: - Cancer; Obesity - Asthma;
- Bone degeneration - Diabetes - Illness cardiac; - Decreased system function
- Reproductive problems.
TBHQ
TBHQ is a type of phenol.
Phenols of different types are used in the manufacture of dyes, resins and
disinfectants
In the case of TBHQ, it is responsible for helping the potatoes never to spoil.
Never ever.
It can also be found in biodiesel.
Laboratory studies have that this substance caused enlargement of the liver,
neurotoxic effects, seizures and paralysis in animals.
This substance was also added to list of the Feingold diet, intended to
the treatment of people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Dimethylpolysiloxane
This difficult pronunciation ingredient is one of the main ones used in manufacturing
of adhesives, aquarium sealants, cosmetics and implants for the breasts.
It can be very dangerous because one of your by-products, formaldehyde, is known
because it is toxic and is listed as carcinogenic by the National Toxicology Program.
Since the first publication of this data concerning the ingredients contained in the
in their potato chips, the McDonalds manifested itself, creating an interactive platform on your website
with an FAQ clarifying doubts about your manufacturing process.
This is good news, as it shows that are willing to be more transparent
about what they put in their food.
On the other hand, so far nothing has been changed in its original recipe for French fries.
The lesson we can have with this discovery it's forever to be alert about what
that we eat and that not all food is prepared equally.
We are aware of the benefits and risks of certain foods
put in a better position to decide which is good for our health.

South Asian Community Embraces Canucks Culture - Duration: 2:58.
- I'm Nav Dosanjh from South Vancouver.
- My name is Sat Oberoi from Abbotsford, British Columbia.
- I'm Tej Dhaliwal from South Vancouver.
- Paul Biling from Burnaby, B.C.
- I've been a Canucks fan since 1989.
- Since 1993.
- Since 1987.
- Since the day I was born.
(techno music)
- India was a very dominant country in field hockey
and having that pride for country and you know, hockey
and that translates to Canada very easily.
I mean, hockey is to Canada what field hockey is to India.
- [Tej] If you think about hockey, itself, in India,
field hockey is huge.
Then we come to Canada and ice hockey
is just like exceptional,
fast and ferocious game, full of emotion
and so much passion in the fans and on the ice
it's very easy to see how it was
something we could quickly get used to and to celebrate
and to want to watch.
- [Paul] Just what hockey teaches people,
especially in our community that we can resonate with
is the hard work
and the commitment
and the discipline
and that's what teamwork and all those great things
that hockey shows.
- [Nav] I think it was way to get involved,
and the older generations to get involved
and what it is like to be Canadian,
cause when you're coming in,
you know you're trying to fit in
and that might have been one of the first things you see,
okay, hockey means Canada, Canada means hockey,
so it's a way to kind of get involved,
get into a part of the Canadian culture.
- [Sat] My dad came to Canada when he was in his twenties
and my parents had me
and it was kind of a bonding moment
for me and my dad.
We'd watch hockey games everyday,
come home from school or work,
it was the thing to do for us
It was a way to really bond
and you know, connect through hockey.
- For my dad, again same thing to kind of
bridge that cultural gap
when he came from India to Canada,
they found like a mutual interest with his friends from work
and that was the game of hockey, right.
- When the Canucks were born it was an amazing thing
for B.C. and hockey and B.C.,
and all the Indo-Canadians in here
because because they finally got to celebrate with their
colleagues locally and their families and friends locally
and celebrate a team that they could go out
and watch physically with their own eyes.
- [Nav] Being a Canucks fan is about,
where we live,
its all we know, it's like you can't change
and through the thick, through the thin,
through the ups through the downs,
and to be honest there've probably been
more downs then there have been ups but that's being a fan.
You know the passion that we have
and now that older generations and newer generations have
is never going to go away.
- [Sat] If you look in the stands,
a lot of the fans are from South Asian heritage
so it's nice that they can recognize that.
- For them to celebrate our culture
and what we bring to the hockey culture and B.C.,
it makes us pretty proud.
We are very proud to be hockey fans and fans of the Canucks.
You know we love this team, we support this team.
- [Sat] In terms of the culture,
the Canucks mean so much to
more than just the Indo-Canadian culture,
it's the culture of Vancouver, it's the culture of B.C.

Governor Cuomo's Top Aide Goes To Prison - Duration: 1:49.
Finally tonight, some good news.
A former top aid to New York governor Andrew Cuomo is found guilty by a federal jury for
taking bribes from big corporations.
Joe Percoco was found to be a very influential figure within New York's most powerful political
dynasty.
He was tapped by Andrew Cuomo to manage his gubernatorial campaigns and was considered
to be a third son by the governor's father.
He now faces decades behind bars for collecting more than $300,000 in bribes from political
donors.
Most of that money came from an energy company called Competitive Power Ventures.
They pulled this off by paying his wife $270,000 over the course of three years for what mattered
to no more than three hours work per month.
Prosecutors flagged a $35,000 check made out to his wife from a real estate company called
COR Development.
They said the company's objective was to win Joseph's support for various projects throughout
the state.
It was a pay for play kind of arrangement.
The president of that company was also convicted and is going to join Joseph in prison, possibly
for 50 years.
Further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of corporate bribery in New
York politics, but no one should be fooled.
It's not just bribery, but the overwhelming power corporate money has in politics that's
the problem.
Politicians get millions of dollars from high rolling industries every year for their campaigns.
In return, they vote for laws that favor them while leaving the public just out on their
own in the dust to fend for themselves.
Percoco's conviction is a good thing, but the truth is we're still a long way from cleaning
out corporate corruption from within our system of politics.

LAPD Announced 28 Even Bigger Named Celebs Who Are Going Down - Duration: 8:10.
LAPD Announced 28 Even Bigger Named Celebs Who Are Going Down With Hollywood Sex Crime.
Earlier this week, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck said he expects his department,
which already is handling more than two dozen allegations of sexual misconduct by high profile
Hollywood and media figures, to officially open investigations into even more accusations
of assault.
The LAPD currently has 28 open investigations linked to elite Hollywood and media figures.
One of which is the mogul Harvey Weinstein, and a huge list of others such as actor Ed
Westwick, writer Murray Miller, and agent Tyler Grasham. The department also has gathered
37 other sex crime reports that it has sent to other law enforcement agencies as the possible
crimes occurred in other jurisdictions away from the Los Angeles area jurisdiction. All
of the accused have of course denied all and any wrongdoing.
This month LAPD officially established five full-time teams of two seasoned detectives
each to exclusively investigate allegations of sexual misconduct in Hollywood. The teams
even include members of the cold-case unit since those detectives are experts in dealing
with old criminal allegations that lack physical evidence and are affected by the fact that
people forget details of crimes as time goes on. Beck later went on to confirm that his
department is 100% committed to looking into each and every allegation made by those who
feel they were victimized by the Hollywood machine.
The Los Angeles Times Reports:
Wave of Hollywood sex assault claims sends LAPD into uncharted territory
The flood of sexual assault allegations coming out of the Hollywood entertainment industry
has the Los Angeles Police Department negotiating uncharted territory.
Never before has the department received so many sexual assault allegations involving
high-profile figures at one time, including many complex cases that are years old with
multiple alleged victims, officials say.
The department has re-engineered its detective staff to deal with the influx. The LAPD has
established five teams of two detectives to exclusively investigate allegations of sexual
misconduct in Hollywood. The teams include members of the cold-case unit, because those
detectives are experts in dealing with old criminal allegations that lack physical evidence.
Beverly Hills police are investigating 12 Hollywood sexual assault allegations
"They know where to go. They know how to jog people's memories," said LAPD Capt.
Billy Hayes, who oversees the Robbery-Homicide Division and is managing the task force. "We've
[gotten] an unprecedented number of calls."
The LAPD now has 28 open investigations related to Hollywood and media figures, including
mogul Harvey Weinstein, actor Ed Westwick, writer Murray Miller and agent Tyler Grasham.
The department has also taken 37 other sex crimes reports that it has sent to other law
enforcement agencies, believing the alleged crimes occurred in those jurisdictions.
Sexual assault vs. lewd acts
Two main types of crimes have been alleged: criminal sexual assault such as rape, and
the lesser crime of lewd acts such as unwanted touching or masturbation. Lewd act allegations
have proved more challenging because the statute of limitations — the time period during
which a crime can be prosecuted — in California is as little as one year. Other sex crimes
have much longer statutes of limitation. For most cases of rape, it's 10 years.
The LAPD has already established a triage strategy. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck is requiring
that the department perform interviews, and take detailed reports from anyone who makes
allegations, however old. Then, detectives work with the Los Angeles County district
attorney's newly established Hollywood sex crimes task force to determine whether the
alleged crime occurred within the statute of limitations. After that, detectives begin
more in-depth investigations.
Hayes estimated that in 95% of the cases, there is no physical evidence. That leaves
detectives focusing heavily on witness accounts, which, given the circumstances of many intimate
claims, are limited. So that leaves detectives looking for corroborating witnesses, including
people whom the alleged victims told of the incidents when they happened.
Some of the alleged crimes occurred at hotels. So police have been going though reservation
logs, employee schedules and video surveillance looking for clues and corroborating evidence,
Hayes said.
Weinstein has been accused of rape and forcible oral copulation by an Italian actress in 2013
as well as lewd acts by a second woman in 2015. The 2013 allegation occurred within
the statute of limitations for rape, but the alleged 2015 incident is believed to be out
of statute.
Detectives interviewed Weinstein's rape accuser for 2½ hours and are now seeking
to verify the actress' claim by interviewing those whom she told about the alleged attack
at the time. The woman, according to sources familiar with the case, told at least three
people contemporaneously about the alleged encounter. The sources spoke on the condition
of anonymity because they are not authorized to reveal details of the case.
Legal experts said even incidents that occurred beyond the statute of limitations have potential
value.
Under California law, a prosecutor can put on witnesses who can testify to a defendant's
propensity to commit the crime. Here we have many prominent actresses alleging similar
acts. I believe a judge would let them testify if Weinstein is charged with a sexual assault,"
said Dmitry Gorin, a former L.A. County sex crimes prosecutor.
In the case of Weinstein, the LAPD is working closely with police in Beverly Hills, New
York and London, which all have open criminal cases involving the mogul.
"The victims in each investigation could testify in each others' cases depending
on the law in the jurisdiction," Gorin said. "There could be an alleged victim in England
who comes to L.A. to testify."
So far, no criminal charges have been brought against Weinstein.
Besides Weinstein, the LAPD is also investigating other high-profile allegations including:
Actress Kristina Cohen's accusation that "Gossip Girl" actor Westwick raped her
at a West Los Angeles home while she was trying to sleep in a guest bedroom. He has denied
any wrongdoing. An allegation of sexual assault made against
"Girls" writer Miller, who denies wrongdoing. An allegation of unwanted groping made by
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" actor Terry Crews. Both law enforcement sources and legal experts
said building the cases is going to take time. Detectives will likely interview witnesses
and alleged victims numerous times before bringing a case to prosecutors.
County Dist. Atty. Jackie Lacey announced this month that she has assigned a group of
veteran sex crimes prosecutors to work together to examine the cases and "ensure a uniform
approach to the legal review and possible prosecution of any case that meets both the
legal and factual standards for criminal prosecution."
Some Hollywood allegations have already been closed.
Actor Corey Feldman recently reported to the LAPD that he was sexually abused by two adults
as a child in the industry. But police said the case could not go forward because the
statute of limitations was already up.
But the LAPD praised Feldman for coming forward.
The LAPD knows perfectly well that once this whole can of worms is open and visible for
the whole world to see, a lot of people will be going down because of it. You can't be
in an arena which tries to dictate to the rest of us how we are supposed to think and
act while getting away with crimes like these. Whatever comes of this whole mess, one thing
is for certain, most of us sitting on the right side of the political aisle just can't
seem to stop smiling and snickering every time someone "big" goes down in flames.

BREAKING: Trump Just Ended Welfare For One HUGE Group For 5 Years! – Let The Riots ERUPT! - Duration: 5:46.
President Trump is about to end the longstanding abuse of the American welfare system and ban
migrants from getting free money and handouts for five years.
The immigration rules will prohibit migrants from coming to the country and taking advantage
of free American welfare money right away.
It will slow down, or stop, chain migration while protecting American workers and potentially
saving taxpayers money.
What used to happen is that people would migrate to America and just live on the free money
they received.
That's called welfare abuse.
America is open to migrants, but perhaps we don't want migrants who can't fend for
themselves.
Maybe it's better if people who are self-sufficient migrate to the country so that we can reduce
the amount of citizens living off the system.
President Trump wants to introduce a merit-based Green card system in which migrants compete
for Visas.
Migrants can earn points for themselves by learning to speak English, gaining job training
or job offers, or doing something else that is considered a benefit to the America.
The idea seems to be that in order for America to grant Visas or citizenship, the migrant
has to give something back to the country.
It's as though the government wants to stop people coming to America and living off the
system and would prefer people coming to the country to be contributors.
Do something for America and America will do something for you.
Migrants to those countries must compete for a limited number of visas by gaining points
for English proficiency, competitive training, a job offer or another major achievement that
benefits the host country.
The concept, which is modeled after similar programs from Australia and Canada, is taking
harsh criticism from activists.
It's like they want an open border policy where everyone gets free welfare money, but
that would just be the downfall of America.
If we observe what's happening in Germany, with Merkel's "come on in" policy, then
we see a mass increase in horrible crimes like gang rape.
Do we want mass amounts of migrant gang rape in America?
There's already enough trouble with crime in sanctuary cities that protect illegal immigrant
criminals.
Those folks should be deported because of their bad behavior and often violent crimes
they commit on American people and even other immigrants.
If America prevents immigrants from getting free benefits for five years, then that makes
people think twice about coming here.
If a family who thinks about crossing the border to start a new life knows that they
cannot live for free, then they may not come at all.
If they have possible jobs lined up and will be almost instantly integrating successfully
with society, then that's a great match.
America is the land of the free, but not the land of the free money.
Migrants who enter the United States cannot receive welfare during their first five years
in the country, President Trump revealed from his upcoming immigration overhaul.
"Just this week, we announced a historic immigration bill to create a merit-based Green
Card system that ends the abuse of our welfare system, stops chain migration, and protects
our workers and our economy," he stated on his weekly radio address.
"As an example, you cannot get welfare for five years when you come into our country."
"You cannot just come in like in past weeks, years, and decades, you come in immediately
and start picking up welfare.
For five years, you have to say you will not be asking or using our welfare systems."
Compare that to Germany, where Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the border to millions
of unvetted migrants who can't speak German and lack employable skills, which dooms them
to perpetual welfare paid by German taxpayers – and boredom that manifests into terrorist
attacks against, once again, German taxpayers.
Last year the German government admitted that only 2.8% of over 1.2 million migrants had
gotten a job – but even then those statistics might be exaggerated, according to journalist
Chris Menahan.
"They said back in July only 55 out of one million migrants had got jobs with any major
firms and 50 of those jobs were working at the post office," he reported.
"Two-thirds or more of these migrants are illiterate in their own languages."
"They came because Merkel promised them free money if they can just make it into the
country."
What in tarnation would be a good reason for any country to accept illiterate people who
don't work?
There is literally no benefit to the host country to admit people like that.
I know it sounds mean to say this, but they don't offer anything to the country other
than leeching the system of funds and it's a complete downgrade to the population.
If you let too many low illiterate people into the country, then they have kids who
could be illiterate, then over time, it would only decrease the overall intelligence of
the country and civilization in America would suffer.
We need hard working and intelligent people who bring promise and productivity to further
the advancement of Americans and mankind.
That sounds like quite a stretch but think of the impact of accepting one million people
who mostly can't read or don't work.
Now the government has to pay for them.
Let's say one million immigrants each get $30,000 worth of welfare benefits per year.
That's $30,000,000,000 of free welfare money sucked out of the American budget for people
who put NOTHING back into our society, culture, or anything at all.
That is literally a $0.00 return on investment.
Not that people are a business, but that's really bad business.
And as you can see, Germany has turned into a cesspool from all the migrants flooding
the gates and ruining their nation.
Prepare for a massive backlash from liberals, democrats, and activists.
There's sure to be protests regarding Trump's potential immigration policy.

Hockey Night in Punjabi Growing the Fan Base in Vancouver - Duration: 3:08.
(electronic music)
(speaking in Punjabi)
- I remember we'd be playing EA Sports NHL,
and I would just do some commentary in Punjabi,
and we'd all laugh and we'd think it was hilarious.
- Yeah.
- Who would have thought that 20 some odd years later
that we'd actually be on the broadcast, number one,
and then secondly, that it would be available
for people to actually enjoy it, in that language.
- Yeah, when we were younger, I remember playing
the same video games, whether it was
Jim Houghson's voice, or whatever,
you'd always throw, maybe, a Punjabi accent
on one of the players names, or something of that nature,
but do you ever think you'd be doing that,
or that it would be available to people?
No, and that's the beauty of it.
- Credit to CBC, they instituted a pilot project
that tried broadcasting hockey games in
a variety of languages,
and with the Punjabi broadcast, it just
kind of resonated, and it stuck.
(speaking in Punjabi)
Brock Boeser!
(speaking in Punjabi)
- The story of Hockey Night Punjabi is
intertwined with the city of Vancouver.
Our studio is here in Vancouver,
so our studio broadcast takes place from here,
but also, those early days, especially,
there was a very strong Vancouver Canucks team,
so there's a lot of people in this market,
and in Vancouver, that used to pay attention,
and watch our games, as well,
so that plays a central role in our story, as well,
that Vancouver is front and center
as a part of the story of Hockey Night in Punjabi.
We're a national broadcast, but Vancouver
does have a special place in that story.
- I think a lot of the people who do check out
our broadcasts will say, there's two things.
One, there's a lot of energy.
Two, it's a lot of fun.
We have a lot of fun off-air,
and that translates to the fun that we have on-air,
and we're not afraid to have that fun,
and be able to bring a lot of energy.
- It's a different experience.
There's a lot of people that come up to us and say,
hey, you guys just have fun.
I have no idea what you're saying,
I'm not a Punjabi speaker, I'm not of Punjabi background,
but we just love the energy,
and that's the beauty of it, right?
I think sometimes in sports, across the board,
we generally take things too seriously.
You play and you watch because you wanna have fun.
Sometimes your team wins, sometimes you lose,
but the fact of the matter is you wanna have fun.
- In addition to providing a fun atmosphere
and a fun broadcast, we're representing
the South Asian community,
to the broader community, at large,
and we take that responsibility very seriously.
We have this purpose, too, of being people who
kind of break down some barriers,
that the community, I think, appreciates,
and I think that goes a long way,
in terms of us being successful and us
continuing to move forward and progress.
- Diversity is a great thing.
If you can add another language to the mix
and it helps grow the game of hockey,
that's great for the sport of hockey,
that's great for Vancouver, and that's great
for all of us to have one common bond where
you can be of any background, but if I go
to a bar here, or if somebody goes to school the next day,
what can we talk about?
We talk about hockey.
We talk about how the Canucks won,
or maybe they didn't win,
but whatever happens, that's the common bond
that brings us together.

PMP - Chicken - Duration: 2:33.
Haha yeah that's right, PMP is back!
He's rapping about chicken now.
It's pretty cool, it's righteous!
I'm excited, how bout' you?
Yeah... probably…
Ha.
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (What?)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Oo)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Oh)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Yup)
I just bit a piece (Ooo) Got no enemies (Yup)
Pull up with a loaf of bread, Gotta feed some geese (Brrr)
Roll it in the grease (Yuh) Get ready to feast (Oo)
Imma eat it like I mean it man I'm such a beast
Sit down in my seat, I'm excited for this meal
Does anybody know if this chicken's even real
I take a bite and good vibes are the only things I feel
I can not stop eating cause this taste is so surreal
I rock back, this food is wack, I really enjoy this fine snack
I'm counting stacks, the ducks go quack, aye PMP deserves a plaque
I really don't have any stacks, I really don't deserve a plaque
The only thing that's true in this is that the little ducks go quack (Oooo)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Yup)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Skrt)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Yup)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Oo)
Got some golden bread wrapped around some white meat
This tasty chicken really makes my life complete PMP don't make nothing but some flaming
heat This verse is trash but I think it's really
neat
I'm in the middle of the woods with a camera Nothing in the video makes sense to what's
going on I'm too lazy to make 4 pieces of chicken
I just want to go to bed, goodnight my sweet son
Just kidding I'm awake, I just had to take a break
No mistake, hit the brakes, I like to eat Frosted Flakes,
Now I'm in front of a lake, Now I'm holding a large rake,
I don't even know what's going on, I have a headache (Oooo)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Yup)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (What?)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Ha Yep)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Oo)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Alright
that's enough.)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (No you can
seriously stop.)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (No.
Please.
Please stop.)
Taking a bite now Taking that chicken to chow town (Please Stop.
Thank you.

Adorable Tuxedo Cat - Meet Marvel! - Duration: 1:09.
Hi, everyone.
Welcome back to mccrainbow.
Um, this is a video that I should have made a long time ago, but I adopted an adorable,
enormous tuxedo cat back in August.
He's four years old and his name is Marvel!
Maybe in a future video I'll tell you the actual story of how I met Marvel, but right
now I just really wanted to introduce him, and I never felt like I could make a video
that lived up to his awesomeness, but, I'm gonna try.
So, this is Marvel!

► Glenn Rhee // Immortalized (c/w DashaLog) [HBD Black Siren] - Duration: 2:40.
All this time, running from walkers.
You forget what people do.
Who the hell do you think you are?
I'm someone who knows who you are.
Have always done.
I know what you did!
Look at what they did to you.
And it's not gonna happen again.
Look at me!
Thank you!
Do you think about them?
We're alive!
We made it!
Was the joke that bad?
Yeah.
We're gonna be all right, okay? We'll be all right.
Don't come in!
What is it?
I have it.
I thought of you losing me, hurting.
I don't know if he is alive!
I couldn't take it!
What if i'm gone?
Shut up!
This is how we survive!
This is an insane world!
I realized something
We are the walking dead!
And then I realized something else.
You should run!
This is the next world!
I love you
You have a wife, Glenn!
I want her to know!
That's why i'm doing this!
Maggie, i love you!
My wife!
Maggie!
She okay?
Let go of her!
Maggie!
You okay?
I don't want you in danger ever!
Glenn!
We fought to be here!
We have to keep fighting!
He's turning blue!
Maggie, i'll find you!
I love you!
Yes!
Give me the gun!
I'm not gonna let you put them in danger.
Get out of my way!
This rage is gonna get you killed!
Maggie, it's lost!
It's over!
We can't run!
Can I keep them, please?
That's Glenn!
