Youtube daily report Sep 5 2018

RUSH: This is what Destiny intended

from the moment it entered the star system.

YOUNG: That ship is the best chance we have of getting home.

Are we done?

We'll never be done.

WRAY: You shouldn't have left him on the planet.

YOUNG: You think I don't know that?

CHLOE: Everyone thinks we're safe.

They think that they'll never find us again.

Why did you take one of our people prisoner?

(SNARLS)

CHLOE: We're not safe, are we?

TELFORD: They're coming!

Who's coming?

Lucian Alliance. They're coming to take Destiny.

RUSH: There's only one way this is going to end if we wait.

YOUNG: I'm not surrendering this ship.

What if we can increase the FTL drive's efficiency?

Who's the best?

RUSH: Amanda Perry.

Nick...

RUSH: For all her abilities,

there are certain disabilities of which you should be made aware.

YOUNG: This ship is affecting the crew's dreams?

RUSH: But what if this is a test?

JOHANSEN: A test he's failing.

GINN: I'd like to offer my help.

I spent over a year studying Ancient systems to prepare for the trip.

We can't spend the rest of our days

here on this ship as prisoners.

YOUNG: Should have thought about that before you attacked us.

I may be on the verge

of discovering the true nature of Destiny's mission.

WRAY OVER RADIO: Colonel Young.

Yeah.

Morning briefing. You're late.

She's been the most cooperative of all the Lucian Alliance members.

Homeworld Security wants to talk to her now.

About the planned attack on Earth?

Some of Ginn's people, a clan from her home planet,

are believed to be the ones behind it.

She may know the location of their base.

Or at least point us to the people who do know.

Okay.

Is she in there?

Yeah. But you should know she's...

Hello, Ginn.

Our people on Earth have asked if you could use the communication stones

to come and talk with them.

(PANTING) Oh. Um, sure.

I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?

No. I, uh, was just, um, sleeping.

Anyway, they were hoping to talk to you this afternoon,

if that's all right with you.

Sure.

Good.

I'll come by later, fill you in on the protocol involving the stones.

Of course.

Thank you.

BRODY: Twelve hours on the countdown clock but the gate's not dialing.

No planets in range. We tried calling Rush.

No response, as usual.

Rush, come in.

(CONSOLE CHIMES)

Wait a minute.

There is something out there, straight ahead of us.

VOLKER: What is it?

Some kind of ship.

Definitely not a seed ship.

JOHANSEN: It doesn't look like the aliens we encountered before, either.

New friends.

Yay.

Looks like it's been through a battle.

And got its ass kicked.

(ENGINES POWERING)

BRODY: Looks deserted. Whoever was on board must have evacuated.

Where the hell were you?

I was working.

I want to know what the hell you were doing.

I was busy. I'm here now. Can we deal with the matter in hand?

VOLKER: We sent over a Kino.

RUSH: Have you found anything?

Ship's empty.

Looks like they were in a battle, probably abandoned ship.

We should send over a boarding party.

We got no shuttle.

We could use the space suits.

What, to just jump over?

Yes. Destiny stopped here for a reason.

Who knows what kind of data or technology could be salvaged.

Well, who's going to go?

I'll go.

Kind of risky for you to be...

The ship is deserted.

I'm the expert in alien technology. I should go.

You have just over six hours of suit air,

in case you can't get the ship's life support online.

All right, Colonel, maybe I should go with him instead.

You say that now that I'm already in the suit?

I'm just not sure it's such a good idea for you to be doing this.

The crew needs you here...

I need to keep an eye on him. Don't worry, Lieutenant.

I'm not going to leave him behind.

Rush and Young are going to go over and check it out,

see if there's anything worth salvaging.

What's this?

Oh, some equations Rush asked me to look at.

You understand all this?

I'm sorry I haven't been by as much lately.

I've been really...

It's okay.

I heard you and one of the Lucian Alliance people

have been working together a lot. Ginn?

Yeah.

Who told you?

Matt.

Ah. (CHUCKLES)

See, we were working together on this thing,

the dialing from inside a star, and I got to know her.

And she is really...

I don't know.

We became friends, and then, out of nowhere...

Hey.

I'm happy for you.

YOUNG OVER RADIO: Okay, we're good. Open the door.

Looks like the bridge is destroyed.

Okay, I'm in. Line's secured. Come on over.

Destiny, we are on board the ship.

Copy that.

YOUNG: Bulkhead's sealed.

Is there life support?

Not yet, but we have gravity, so that is a start.

The place is pretty banged up.

Hopefully we can find a way to access control of the...

Colonel, you still there?

Yeah, we're here. Is that...

RUSH: It is.

ELI: What? What? What is it?

RUSH: Pods.

The aliens we encountered on the seed ship.

Maybe you should come back, not take any chances?

YOUNG: Don't worry, the pods are empty.

Well, there could be pods elsewhere on the ship that aren't empty.

RUSH: If there was anything still alive on this ship,

the Kino would've noticed it.

YOUNG: Is that a control panel?

(HUMMING)

Are you getting this?

Uh, yeah, yeah, we got it.

What is that, a control room?

Some kind of engineering station.

It appears to only have limited control,

but I think I can seal off some other bulkheads and...

(POWER SURGES)

We have life support.

Power's coming on in other parts of the ship as well.

Right.

I'm going to try switching over to the ship's communications.

Do you read?

BRODY: Loud and clear.

Okay, I'm also going to...

What the hell just happened?

I don't know. The engines have engaged.

What did you do?

I didn't do anything!

Turn them off!

I can't from here!

The engines have shut off on their own.

The power's nearly drained.

Doesn't matter. We're ballistic, moving away from Destiny.

Turn us around, Rush.

I can't.

Navigation and propulsion cannot be controlled from here.

No power at all?

Emergency reserves.

The ship's systems took too much damage.

YOUNG: If we can't turn this thing around,

we're going to have to find another solution.

Well, there's not much we can do from here.

Without control of Destiny's core systems, we can't steer back to you.

Maybe Destiny will realize there's a problem and turn around on its own.

We can't take a chance on something that may or may not happen.

What?

I don't know.

You tell me.

I've been doing some work,

writing a program which would allow me to override Destiny's autopilot

and manually fire the ship's maneuvering thrusters.

You what? Why didn't you tell any of us?

Because I haven't been successful as yet. It's extremely complex.

Destiny's command programming is not something that can be easily manipulated.

Okay, so fill me in. I can help with it.

No! Uh... Well, I mean, yes, of course.

You and the others can handle some of it, but most of it,

that's going to require someone with a far greater knowledge

of Ancient drive systems.

Someone such as...

Amanda Perry. She could do it.

All right, let's bring her on board.

VOLKER: The suits consume power while wearing them.

You might want to get out of them.

(KNOCKING)

Nice room. It's bigger than mine.

What do you want?

Can I come in?

I hear you've been getting friendly

with some of the people on the ship.

The problem is when you get close to someone,

you start letting your guard down,

and then you say things you shouldn't.

You haven't done that, have you?

Oh. Excuse me.

Uh, Ginn? We're all set, if you're ready.

Ready for what?

Nothing that concerns you.

Are you okay with this?

Yes.

She's given her consent.

She's fully aware of the communication stones protocol.

I'm fine, Eli. Really.

We may need you to remain on Earth

until Dr. Perry is finished helping us with our problem.

Is that all right with you?

Just place the stone on the device when you're ready.

See you soon.

(DEVICE CHIMES)

WRAY: Dr. Perry?

Camile.

Welcome aboard Destiny.

Were they able to brief you on our situation?

Yes.

Hello, Eli.

Hi.

RUSH: How are you getting on with those algorithms I gave you?

BRODY OVER RADIO: Slow.

And Dr. Park?

She went to the engineering control room, like you told her.

She'll radio you when she's got something,

though she didn't look too optimistic when she left.

Okay, how about Eli?

Communications lab. He's getting Dr. Perry.

Colonel, it seems there's another undamaged area of the ship.

I've pressurized it.

Might be worth taking a look,

see if there's a shuttle, escape pod, something like that.

Keep me posted on your progress.

Of course.

Nicholas?

Mandy?

Yes, I'm here. I can see you. Tell me what to do.

Good, good. Is Eli with you?

Yeah, I'm here.

Good. Go help Dr. Park.

What? Why?

Because she's going to need you far more than Dr. Perry will.

All right, all right. I'm going.

Can you read this?

Yes.

Good. This is the first of several heuristic algorithms I need you to run.

They're crucial to discovering a way

to manually program an override

to Destiny's propulsion systems.

First of several?

And you thought this wasn't going to be any fun, huh?

Yeah, very funny, Mr. Brody. Time is of the essence.

Did you get it?

Yeah, got it.

Okay. Here's the next one.

Rush, come in.

RUSH OVER RADIO: Yes, Colonel.

There's no sign of a shuttle or escape pod,

and if there was, they probably used it to get the hell out of here.

I'm going to check out a few more compartments,

then I will head back. Young out.

PERRY: Nicholas?

Yes, Mandy?

These heuristics you gave me...

Do you understand them?

I think so.

Are you asking me to go to...

Yes. Now. Please.

I'll be right back.

BRODY: Need some help with something?

No, thanks. I'll be fine. I'll let you know.

We need to talk.

I'm sorry?

Oh, I'm not... I'm Dr. Amanda Perry.

We used the communication stones?

I was brought aboard to help with the current situation...

Where's Ginn?

She's on Earth.

Look, I'm sorry, but I need to...

No, no, no, we're not done here.

GREER: Hey!

Is there a problem?

Sergeant, I'm Dr. Amanda Perry.

I used the stones to switch with Ginn.

I heard.

Welcome aboard.

Thank you. Look, I've got quite a bit of work to do, and, uh...

Then, by all means, do not let this man stop you.

Thank you.

Off you go now.

That way.

Nicholas?

Mandy, are you there?

Did you find it?

Yes.

BRODY OVER RADIO: Rush, come in.

Yes, I'm here.

We just lost the Kino feeds.

Yeah, probably out of range. It was going to happen sooner or later.

Don't worry about it. Just keep working.

Mandy, are you still there?

Yes, Nick.

Good. This is a discreet channel.

No one else on the ship can hear us.

So this is the bridge.

Indeed it is. Now we can finally get to work.

What's going on here, Nick?

Oh, Mandy, I'm sorry for all the puzzles.

I had to find a way of getting you on the bridge without anyone else knowing.

Why the secrecy?

Because I've done it.

I've broken Destiny's master code.

I now have complete control over all its systems.

Wait a minute. You have control over navigation and propulsion?

Yes, all of it.

Then why do you need me?

You could've had any of these people...

I needed you because you're the only one I can trust.

I can't tell the others. Not yet.

Why not?

Look, I'll explain in time.

Right now, I need you to turn Destiny around and come and get us.

All right. Tell me what to do.

We lost the Kino feed.

Yeah, out of range.

Where's Dr. Perry?

I thought she was going to your lab.

ELI OVER RADIO: Dr. Perry, do you read?

Dr. Perry, please come in.

Where are you?

Nick, your friends are calling me.

Don't answer. Not yet.

(SIGHS)

(ENGINES POWERING)

Uh, guys? We're changing course.

The Destiny just turned in the direction of the alien ship.

PERRY: Okay, we're on our way.

Well done, well done.

So, what am I supposed to tell the others?

Tell them I sent you to the engine control room.

You were able to enter the correct programming

that allowed you to fire the ship's maneuvering thrusters.

You're brilliant. They'll believe you.

What is going on here, Nick?

Why don't you want me to tell anyone the truth?

Look, things have changed since you last came aboard this ship.

You know me better than anyone, Mandy.

Please believe me when I say I've got good reasons for this secrecy.

ELI OVER RADIO: Dr. Perry, please respond.

We really need to talk to you.

We just need to know that you're okay.

Yes, Eli. I'm fine.

I am in the engine control room.

I was able to execute Dr. Rush's programming override .

Really? So you turned the ship around?

Yes. I was able to manually fire the maneuvering thrusters.

Wow. Okay.

Do you need any help?

I can come down, and...

No, no, it's okay.

I'm, uh, almost finished here.

I should be coming back to the Control Room shortly.

All right.

What was she doing before she left?

Working on the heuristics Rush gave her.

She took her work with her.

What?

The Kino feed, before we lost it? I always record everything.

Can you read this?

PERRY: Yes.

This is the first of several heuristic algorithms I need you to run.

PERRY OVER RADIO: Well, so far, so good.

My calculations put us at your doorstep within the hour.

I knew it was a good idea getting you on board the ship.

Well, you did say you'd find a way to bring me back aboard.

(LAUGHS) I did at that.

What the hell?

Mandy, who's that?

Rush?

ELI: I don't believe this.

You cracked Destiny's master code?

RUSH: Eli, listen to me...

You've had control of this ship the whole time?

Why... Why wouldn't you tell any...

Look, Colonel, I had every intention of...

You broke the code?

Yes.

When?

Does it matter?

When?

Shortly after the Lucian Alliance attack.

I wanted to tell you, but I had to make sure I knew

everything about this before I let it... (GRUNTS)

I should've killed you when I had the chance.

(BOTH GRUNTING)

Know what, it's your fault we lost the shuttle, that Riley's dead.

Your fault!

YOUNG: You murdered that boy!

(GROANS)

(BOTH PANTING)

So, that's it? That was your plan?

Just keep this whole thing a secret?

See how long you can get away with it?

I had no choice.

Yeah, you did.

You could've told me, Rush.

I couldn't trust you.

I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Several of the crew have voiced their...

It's all about control with you. Power...

Well, someone's got to lead these people.

You think anyone's gonna follow you after this?

No, no, no, not me.

But not you, either.

Come on, Colonel, look at yourself.

You can hardly get out of bed in the morning,

never mind make command decisions.

Wow, look at that. You got me all figured out, don't you?

Well, anyone can see it. You know it's true.

Look, when I unlocked the code,

the amount of information it revealed was overwhelming.

I had to make sure I had a proper handle on this stuff

before letting anyone have access to it.

If any one of those systems had been improperly handled...

Resulting in the shuttle crashing,

one of our best young men dying.

You mean something like that?

Yeah.

I know I made mistakes.

The simulation the ship just put me through,

was that your doing as well?

No, no, no, that was... That was the ship.

Except the part at the end.

I had to override the program to make Destiny jump back into FTL.

Look, with all that's happened recently,

the Lucian Alliance trying to take the ship,

lives lost as a result of that,

Lieutenant Johansen's baby...

It's a heavy burden to carry, I know,

but you have to ask yourself this question...

"Am I fit to lead these people?"

Well, maybe at one time, yeah, but not now.

I couldn't tell you about the code, Colonel.

How can I trust you when you don't even trust yourself?

Rush, are you there? Rush, come in.

Out of range?

Probably shut off the radio.

Why didn't you tell us?

I'm sorry. I should have, I know.

He was just so emphatic about me keeping quiet.

He said there was a good reason.

Well, at least we're heading towards them now, right?

If Rush is still alive when we get there.

So, what happens now?

Well, Destiny picks us up, and then you tell us everything

that you've learned since breaking the code.

Come on, you had to know that this game wasn't going to last forever.

It's not a game, Colonel.

Destiny's mission requires a level of commitment

I doubt anyone on that ship is prepared to make.

What mission?

There is no mission other than getting these people home.

You're wrong.

It was never about going home.

It's about getting us to where we're going.

What the hell's that supposed to mean?

You know, these past few weeks,

I've learned so much more about the ship,

about its mission.

It's far more important than we ever thought.

Okay, let's... Let's hear it.

Are you familiar with the cosmic microwave background radiation?

Noise left over from the Big Bang.

A long time ago, the Ancients made a discovery.

They found evidence of a structure

buried deep within the background radiation.

They believed that at one time this structure had genuine complexity...

Coherence.

Therefore, it could not have occurred naturally.

How is that even possible?

It's not, at least not according to our current understanding of physics,

nor could we even see this structure with our technology.

Okay, so, what are we talking about, some kind of code? A message?

A message, perhaps, or a sign of intelligence

from the beginning of time.

Sent by?

Hmm.

Well, that's the very question they sought to answer when they launched Destiny.

That is the mission.

We're talking about a mystery rooted in the foundation of reality.

A puzzle with pieces scattered across the length and breadth of the universe itself.

I swear to God, Rush, if this is another one of your hoaxes...

Once I'd broken the code, I had access to the ship's complete archive.

There are thousands of pages devoted to this,

scientific research, philosophical debate...

If we don't have the technology to see this thing,

how the hell am I supposed to believe...

Because Destiny is not our technology, Colonel.

The Ancients left us their data as well as their ship.

And you've seen this data?

I'll show it to you.

I don't promise you're going to understand it, but it's there.

Someone's got to see this mission through.

We're here. Why not us?

Stop saying we don't belong on that ship.

Embrace it. Move forward, stop looking behind us.

I just want to get these people home.

Well, I'm starting to think that seeing this mission through

may be our only chance of ever doing that.

But what does that even mean?

We're talking about a level of order

present at the very beginning of space-time

that goes beyond anything we ever conceived.

I believe that the more we learn,

the more pieces Destiny uncovers,

then the greater our power to control everything around us will be.

So it is about power.

Yes, Colonel.

The power to change things,

control our fate, right the wrongs.

To play God?

No...

To gain greater understanding...

What the hell do you want from me?

I want you to work with me,

together, side by side, for the benefit of everyone.

Well, it'd be a hell of lot easier if you stopped keeping secrets.

It's fair to say we've had our differences, but that ends today.

You have my word.

(LAUGHS) Oh, man, you are a lot of work.

Radio. Radio, let's go.

RUSH OVER RADIO: Mandy?

Yes, Nick, we're here. What happened?

No, we're fine, but your angle and speed are off.

I need you to circle back, line up Destiny's airlock as close to the ship as possible.

Where's Colonel Young?

YOUNG: Eli, I'm here. We're going to sort all of this out later.

Let's just get us back on board first.

We should get back in the suits.

Try not to come in so sharply.

Yeah, you just want to pull alongside.

Maybe Brody should be driving. No offense...

Just shut up!

Okay.

Easy, easy.

Keep an eye on your starboard.

Watch your angle...

SCOTT: What the hell's going on here?

No time. There's no time.

You've got to ease up. That's very sensitive.

ELI: Back off as you come in...

Is she flying the ship?

Do you know what you're doing?

Guys!

Not now!

RUSH: Kino's damaged.

I won't be able to use it to take us back to the ship.

YOUNG: Well, there's another one in search mode somewhere still on the ship.

If we can find it.

Reverse! You're too close!

I'm trying!

YOUNG: What the hell just happened?

I'm sorry, Colonel.

We came in too close. Maybe I should give it a try.

BRODY: No, no, no, we're okay.

We've matched their speed.

Yeah, but how the hell are we going to get them off of that ship?

PERRY OVER RADIO: Nick, are you all right?

RUSH: I'm okay. The rotation's slow enough.

YOUNG: We've got a bigger problem. The Kino is damaged.

We're not going to be able to use it to get back on the ship.

What about the other one?

RUSH: It's lost...

Somewhere on the ship.

They don't have time to go looking for it.

Are you back in the space suits?

Yeah.

ELI: Okay, good. So this is easy.

You're just going to use the ship's centripetal force

to propel you the distance.

Easy? That ship's just not spinning, it's wobbling.

You'll have to calculate each jump separately.

The speed of rotation, the mass of each person,

the angle of trajectory...

I'm already on it.

Eli, if they miss the ship...

They won't.

YOUNG: We're making our way to the opening in the hull.

RUSH: Eli, how are you coming with the calculations?

I've got your jump worked out, so you'll go first.

I'm almost done with Colonel Young's.

You have to release when I say,

the exact moment, don't hesitate.

RUSH: Okay, I'm in position.

Tell me when.

Ready?

Now!

ELI: Engage your mag boots!

RUSH: Destiny, I'm on board.

ELI: Okay. Okay, I got this.

Colonel, are you ready?

Yeah.

ELI: Okay.

Get ready to release.

Now!

RUSH: His angle is off!

BRODY: He jumped too early.

ELI: It's ridiculous, the amount of information here.

Just keep looking for that message.

BRODY: Colonel, we've got an opportunity ahead.

Several planets in range. Looks pretty good.

All right. Let's see if this works.

Hey.

Hi.

Compliments of Mr. Brody's still.

(CHUCKLES)

Oh, how I've missed its lone redeeming quality.

How's the crew?

Angry, but the truth is out now,

so that can only be a good thing.

And, uh, Colonel Young?

I know you didn't trust him before. Can you trust him now?

I've got no choice.

Here, cheers.

I'm sorry, Mandy.

I know I put you in a very difficult position.

It's okay. In fact, I'm flattered.

Of all people, you chose to confide in me.

Well, of course.

You're the finest person I know.

I've thought a lot about you, about seeing you again.

Me, too.

This time...

This time is different.

Colonel Young wants to see you on the bridge.

Can it wait?

No, he said to come now. It's urgent.

I'll be back soon.

You know, sometimes, with the stones,

it's easy to forget you're in another person's body.

(SNARLING)

CHLOE: We're not safe, are we?

TELFORD: They're coming.

YOUNG: Who's coming?

The Lucian Alliance, they're coming to take Destiny.

RUSH: There's only one way this is gonna end if we wait.

YOUNG: I'm not surrendering this ship.

WRAY: I don't know if you've met Ginn.

Homeworld Security wants to talk to her now.

About the planned attack on Earth?

I want you to walk with me, side by side, for the benefit of everyone.

Okay, so, what are we talking about,

some kind of code, a...a message?

WRAY: We're all sitting here, ready.

Ready for what?

Nothing that concerns you.

We need to talk.

I'm sorry?

I'm Dr. Amanda Perry. I...

RUSH: I've thought a lot about seeing you again.

This time is different.

Sometimes with the stones

it's easy to forget you're in another person's body.

BRODY: How can you just forgive him?

No, who says I did?

VOLKER: He's done nothing but lie to us.

I don't believe he intended for Riley to die.

Yeah, but he was responsible.

And he's going to have to live with that. I'm not saying he was right.

What are you saying?

That I'm trying to understand why he did what he did.

Something wrong?

On the contrary.

So far, it seems like everything you said is true.

About the Ancients finding evidence

of a signal once being broadcast across the universe.

(STATIC)

It is amazing.

A distinct structure in the background radiation.

That sounds like static to me.

You were expecting Stairway to Heaven?

This is huge.

It suggests more than a random order to the universe.

Possibly constructed by intelligent life.

We're assuming you had no luck deciphering any of it.

Is this the reason you brought me up here?

Well, you have planted false information in the database before.

I'm just saying...

Actually, I'm consulting.

Part of a new spirit of cooperation.

As you may have noticed, we dropped ourselves out of FTL.

There are three planets in range.

Conditions?

One's a wasteland, but two show promise.

Okay, I'll have a look.

No, no, you go on. You go get some rest.

No, no, I'm fine. I'm okay.

No, seriously.

I will tell you when there is something worth writing home about.

Sorry to have bothered you. Go ahead.

Okay.

Thanks.

Hey, listen...

Don't worry, Eli.

Nothing's going to happen. Nothing's going to happen.

We can start gathering some Kino data.

Let me go to the Gate Room. I'll put together some teams.

VOLKER: Yeah.

You don't have any idea how much longer Homeworld Command

is going to want to talk to Ginn, do you?

I mean, it just seems like they've been questioning her for...

I'm going to go to work.

(KNOCKING ON DOOR)

Mandy?

Mandy, it's Nick.

This is Rush. I need help, Ginn's quarters, now.

Eli...

(OVER RADIO) Colonel, this is Scott.

All Lucian Alliance members are accounted for

and locked down except Simeon.

Michaels was assigned to him, and he is not responding on radio.

(ELECTRICITY CRACKLING)

(GUN FIRING)

(DOOR OPENS)

(GASPS)

We don't know for sure.

It's never been confirmed that that's what happened.

...until further notice.

Teams of two, room by room. I want him found.

(OVER RADIO) Airman Dunning, come in. This is Young. Please respond.

Sir, this is James.

Amanda Perry is dead.

Rush! Hey, Rush.

JAMES: Sir, there's more.

Ginn told Homeworld Command some things you'll want to hear.

(SCREAMING)

Colonel, give me a gun.

Wait here.

(DOOR OPENS)

(GUN FIRING)

(MAN GROANING)

(GASPS)

Oh!

Close and lock the doors. Now!

(DOOR OPENS)

Dial.

(DIALING)

Two men are down.

He's locked himself in the Gate Room with at least one hostage.

Nobody's getting in here. Just, please, let her go.

Don't move.

Come here.

Colonel, this is Greer. I found Michaels. He's dead, sir.

Look, take me instead.

No.

Shut up! Both of you.

Move.

Wait... (WHIMPERING)

Mr. Brody, I need the door opened now!

I'm working on it.

(DOOR OPENS)

Where'd he go?

He went through.

Wait. Wait!

Where is he?

He took Park. Rush went through after him.

Re-dial.

(DIALING)

There's something on my back.

He put something on my back.

(SIGHS)

Let's move.

He's bleeding badly.

I need help here. Get him on the table.

Bag him.

I've got a chest wound over here!

Is the airway clear?

Yes.

Use the plastic to apply pressure.

You want to avoid air in the wound.

AIRMAN: Hold it steady!

He's bleeding pretty bad.

JOHANSEN: I can't get away.

AIRMAN: All right, let's get this clamped.

He stopped breathing.

Do what you can.

I need a tube.

YOUNG: Talk to me.

Simeon went through with Park hostage. Rush went after him.

Well, we need Simeon alive.

Sir?

Ginn told Homeworld Command

that he knows the details of the Alliance attack

being planned against Earth.

The location of the base, who's involved.

He may be the only way to stop them.

Assuming he'll tell us.

It's a bomb, isn't it? One of theirs.

Yes.

We studied them, didn't we?

Ginn, she told us how they work.

This is Rush. Do not come through. Repeat, do not come through.

I am attempting to disarm an explosive at the base of the gate.

Do you copy?

This is Young. Copy that.

Keep the gate open.

RUSH: I'll let you know when it's clear.

(STARGATE PUDDLE OPENS)

Hold still. I'm going to try and remove the cover.

(ELECTRONIC CLICKING)

Rush, this is Volker. Can you hear me?

You can't disarm it, but you can remove the proximity sensor.

Yeah. Please shut up.

There... There's a fuse.

RUSH: I know. I just...

These pinholes are too small. I just...

I don't have anything that's going to do this.

I'm sorry, I... I can't.

(WHIMPERING)

Oh, God. Okay.

It's okay. It's okay.

Get out of here. It's okay.

(SOBBING) It's okay.

(RAPID CLICKING)

Wait, wait, wait.

Yeah.

(BOMB WHIRRING)

(EXPLOSION)

You okay?

Yeah.

You all right?

Yeah.

(BREATHING HEAVILY)

Go.

Rush!

I've got him.

Rush!

(GUN FIRING)

What happened?

Simeon killed the man guarding him, then he killed Ginn.

Where is he?

He took a hostage through the gate.

Colonel, I swear, I had no idea...

Before he got to her, Ginn told Homeworld Command

that Simeon had intelligence about an attack

that was being planned against Earth.

Are you kidding me?

Ginn and Simeon were from the same clan.

Are you saying you know nothing about this?

You know the Lucian Alliance are made up of different factions.

There are many secrets between them.

If I did know, I would have told you before now.

Is there anyone else on board from that clan?

No.

Colonel, about Simeon, don't underestimate him.

If I'm guilty of anything, it's not warning you about him sooner.

He's not going to get away.

Let me help.

I think you've done enough.

I think it might be better if you just let him go.

He killed three people, injured four more.

You'll lose more people trying to bring him in alive.

He's dangerous. Trust me.

(EXPLOSION)

Stay, stay, stay, stay!

This is Scott. I'm okay. Hold your positions.

(PANTING)

Are you hurt?

No. No, no. I'm fine, I'm fine.

Ah, wait. Wait, wait. Stop!

What the hell? Rush, we need Simeon alive.

He may have intel on a Lucian Alliance attack on Earth.

And you think he's going to tell you?

That's not my problem, right now. I've got orders.

I don't care.

Listen, Rush, I get it, okay?

I can see how angry you are, but you're going to get yourself killed.

You have no idea where he could be hiding. Just give me a second.

Lieutenant James, do you read?

JAMES ON RADIO: Yes, sir.

We will call our position due west of the gate.

I want two men left behind to guard the gate in case he circles back.

The rest will split up into two teams of three.

One will head southwest, the other northwest.

Radio contact every 15 minutes.

Roger that. James out.

Do we send you back to Destiny, or are you here to help?

Listen. Listen! We have orders.

Right now, we need him alive.

As far as I'm concerned, as soon as the Colonel is done with him,

you can do whatever the hell you want to the son of a bitch.

I don't care.

If you don't kill him, I will.

Right now, there could be lives at stake,

people back on Earth.

They may be a billion light years away,

but we still may be able to do something about it.

Are you hearing me?

Okay. We've got nine hours till Destiny jumps back into FTL.

If we have not found him in four-and-a-half, we are turning back.

Let's move.

Hey.

You okay?

Yeah.

I still... I don't understand why he let me live.

Well, he's a soldier.

I mean, to him, this is a war and you were unarmed.

What, you think he was being honorable?

That, or he knew how much it would torture you.

Colonel Young wants us to stall the clock. That's what I'm going to do.

Going to figure out how to stall the clock.

Hey. What can I do?

Hey. Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.

Look, I'm... I'm so sorry...

Yeah, I know. You did everything you could.

You sure you're all right?

Yeah.

Where are we at?

We're trying to stall the clock.

Hey. T.J.?

(SIGHS) Dunning, Graham, and Lougheed are all probably going to make it.

Infection is always a risk.

What about Henderson?

This message you found in the ship's database...

More of a signal, a repeating pattern.

You have any idea what it means?

No.

Obviously you think it's important.

(CHUCKLING)

Yes. It's important.

Its existence defies the very laws of physics.

Is it a message from God, the almighty creator of the universe,

as I'm sure you would like to believe?

Well, I don't know. We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

Let's go.

I don't care if the Colonel forgives him. I never will.

Well, I'm not sure if anyone's forgiven him, but maybe he's right,

that fulfilling Destiny's mission

is our best chance of getting home one day.

All I'm saying is, from now on,

he'd better watch his own back.

We have no control over the clock yet.

We're definitely not going to solve this

before Destiny jumps back into FTL this time.

This time.

Well, we have to stay in FTL a minimum of four hours,

at which point we can drop back out again.

Good news is we'll still be in range.

That'll be our last chance, though.

GREER: Not much time left.

They'll still be able to drop out in range.

Check it out.

What is it?

Some kind of animal.

Is it something we can barbecue?

(CRYING)

(CRYING CONTINUES)

I can see why you would blame yourself.

For what it's worth, you didn't mean for this to happen.

I brought her onboard.

I understand why you kept the secret...

Why you felt you couldn't trust Colonel Young.

But we're going to have to work these things out.

All of us together, from now on, learn to trust each other.

What happened to following orders?

Yeah, well, some things are more complicated than that.

Congratulations.

I'm saying we have to try and figure out what's right.

Not me.

Revenge isn't going to bring her back.

(SOBBING) I know.

SCOTT: You think it's going to make it easier to live with?

I don't even know if we're going to find him anyway.

He could be hiding anywhere.

I guess the good news is he'll probably die a miserable death out here.

He's got a Kino remote.

He'll probably wait for us to leave, and then...

Try and use the gate to find his way back

to the Lucian Alliance we left behind.

GREER: Lieutenant.

That looks like a track.

(GUNSHOTS)

You see him?

I think he's up there.

James, this is Scott. Do you read?

JAMES ON RADIO: Go ahead, Lieutenant.

Yeah, he's got us pinned down.

We heard the shots.

All right, good. That means you're close.

We are at the bottom of a canyon,

and he is dug in somewhere on a ridge northwest of our position.

I see the canyon. We're topside. Moving to flank him now.

E.T.A. is five minutes.

Copy that.

CHLOE ON RADIO: Eli? Eli, it's Chloe. Can you hear me?

I can hear you.

T.J. told me what happened.

I'm really sorry.

Look, I can't talk right now. What are you doing?

Are you in the navigation interface?

Yeah.

I told you to stay out of that.

Sorry, I just...

You know, this is complicated enough without you messing up

everything I'm trying to do.

CHLOE ON RADIO: Eli?

Sorry. I don't have time right now. I'll...

Come and see you later.

We need to drop out.

So drop out!

Just warning you.

Great.

(COMPUTER BEEPING)

(BEEPING)

Eight hours.

(SIGHING) Great.

Colonel Young, this is Brody.

(OVER RADIO) Go ahead.

We've got eight hours on the clock.

I'll notify the team on the planet.

One last time, to be clear, sir, this will be our last window.

Understood. Young out.

Eli...

Just leave me alone.

Okay?

(KINO BEEPING)

JAMES: Lieutenant, we're approaching his position. Stand by.

Roger that.

Rush get down!

Tell them to get back.

Tell them to get back!

Get back. It is a trap!

I repeat, it is a trap!

Take cover!

James! James! Come in!

(GRUNTING)

Sir, we got wounded up here.

How bad?

Torres is unconscious. Looks like Weber's arm is broken.

Corporal Lee, do you read?

LEE ON RADIO: Read you, Lieutenant.

Moving to cover Lieutenant James' position.

Assist with getting the wounded back to the Stargate.

Yes, sir.

How did you know?

I had a feeling.

When I stood up and presented a target, he didn't shoot.

JAMES ON RADIO: What about you, sir?

We can't leave you here without backup.

Stand by.

I saw you doing something with that Kino remote.

Yeah, I was checking the time.

Damn it, Rush! Stop lying to me!

Okay, I thought there might be a way

for one remote to pinpoint the location of another.

You knew he wasn't on that ridge anymore.

Well, I've only figured it out now!

Do you know his position?

Yes, I think so.

James, we think we've found a way of tracking Simeon

using the Kino remote.

Get the wounded safely back to the gate and check back in.

By my calculations,

we've got a little less than an hour before we've got to turn back.

We are going after him.

Roger that.

Let's move.

Hey, Eli. What you doing?

Going to help on the planet, and I don't care what you say.

I'm not going to be able to figure out

how to stall the clock in the time we have.

What exactly do you think you're going to do on the planet?

I don't know. Something.

He's already injured two more Marines.

These are highly trained combat...

Do you even know how complicated

Ancient programming algorithms are?

'Cause Rush didn't solve it, and he's had a couple of months.

I need you to get back to the bridge.

Even if I could find a way to quickly bypass all the protocols

and add time to the clock,

I have no idea what the consequences might be down the line.

For all I know, we may end up burning out all our power

before we reach the next star.

Are you ordering me to do that?

I am considering the fact that we may be able to save lives on Earth.

(SCOFFING) Only if we catch Simeon alive

and if he just tells you what you want to know.

'Cause, really, what are the chances of that?

Now, are you going to let me have one of these weapons or not?

You're angry. Is that it, Eli?

I get that.

I also know that this is not something that is in you,

and that's not something that you should be ashamed of.

Now, listen to me.

Killing someone, no matter how much you think they deserve it,

is going to change you. All right?

Don't you act like you are the only person aboard this ship,

that has lost someone that they care about.

I know.

Good.

I need you to get back to the bridge.

Here.

Got him.

RUSH: Shoot him!

(GRUNTING)

What are you doing? Shoot him!

I did.

Again!

What the hell's the matter with you? You had him in your sight!

Get off!

What's the matter with you?

Rush! He did the right thing!

What is the point of being able to track him if we can't catch up to him!

He is wounded now!

Killing him could kill countless people back on Earth.

We are running out of time,

and you're dreaming if you think

he's ever going to tell you what you want to know!

(GUNSHOT)

(GREER GRUNTING)

Hey! Let me see, let me see.

(GREER GROANING)

Buddy, you're going to be okay.

It doesn't look that bad.

Rush? Rush!

Ooh, I've got to get you back to the ship.

Go! Go get him. I'm... I'm fine.

No, you're not. You are bleeding pretty bad.

I thought you said it didn't look bad.

Ah, I lied.

(GROANING)

Rush, you've got to listen to me. Greer has been hit.

SCOTT ON RADIO: I've got to get him back to the gate.

You were right. We are out of time.

You have to turn back. Do you hear me?

This is not worth it.

We need you, Rush.

Don't throw everything away for this.

Rush?

Rush?

She says she can help.

Really? How?

Well, you know Rush has been giving me problems to solve.

Equations.

I... I didn't understand any of it at first,

but I would stare at it for hours,

and then suddenly something would pop into my head and...

And I would write it down.

Yeah, I know. Look, I get it. You want to help.

The point is, I think I'm starting to understand it, Eli.

It's like I'm slowly getting control of whatever is in my head.

Or it's getting control of you.

You really want us to give her access to the ship's systems?

Eli, this is me talking.

Please. I really think if I could just see what the problems are.

Can't hurt to let her look, can it?

Actually, yes, it could.

We're assuming that any solutions she may provide us

are what we really need.

Yeah, and not some subroutine that could sabotage the ship.

The last thing we need right now

are those aliens attacking us again.

And that's what I'm counting on all of you for.

(GRUNTING)

(PANTING)

Rush...

I know you didn't care enough about Ginn

to risk your life coming after me.

I'm sure it was that other woman she was connected to.

SIMEON ON RADIO: You must have really cared for her.

I understand revenge.

Your people have killed enough of mine.

People I cared about.

I let you live. You know why?

I wanted you to live with it, the way I have.

I wanted the pain to eat you alive.

I know it's a fate worse than death.

I let you live, but next time I won't.

You want your revenge? You come and get it, Rush.

I'm going to put you out of your misery.

Come and get me.

(COMPUTER BEEPING)

Hey, what are you doing? Chloe!

Stop her!

(GASPING) It's okay.

What do you mean, "it's okay"? What did you just do?

I... I don't know, but it's okay.

You said you were in control.

Yeah, I am.

Do you even know what you just did?

No.

I'm sorry. I...

You should go back to your quarters.

Come on. Come on.

Eli! You should look at this.

They stall the clock yet?

No, sir. Less than two hours now until Destiny jumps again.

And they say that's it.

Dial the gate.

What about Rush?

(BUTTONS BEEPING)

(DISTANT GUNSHOTS)

(GUNSHOTS)

(DISTANT EXPLOSION)

(DISTANT RUMBLING)

(BEASTS ROARING)

(WIND HOWLING)

I have information.

(PANTING)

(SIGHING) Oh, God.

You're late.

I know.

Nine hours late.

How's Greer?

He's going to be okay.

You?

You didn't answer your radio.

The battery died a long time ago. You didn't come after me.

Eli figured out how to track the Kino remotes the same way you did.

We saw two signals heading back this way together,

figured one of you had them both and the other was dead.

True.

You couldn't have known you had so much extra time.

What in the hell were you thinking?

I knew Eli would figure out how to stall the clock.

Really? Because he didn't.

What?

Chloe calculated a new FTL course.

She turned the ship around to come back and get you.

Good for her.

You gave her those equations knowing she might be able to figure it out.

I did.

Dial the gate.

Eli said there may still be unforeseeable consequences as a result.

Well, there always are, aren't there?

I hope you were right about Simeon not telling us about the attack on Earth.

I'd hate to think we could have prevented it.

You feel any better?

Ukulele Webcam Sessions (Ep.72) – Sample Beginner Practice Routine - Duration: 11:47.

Hi, welcome to another episode of Webcam Sessions. This week we're going to work

on creating a beginner practice routine and talk about some of the concepts that

I alluded to in last week's episode. If you didn't watch last week, we talked about

creating a practice routine, and how it's a lot like creating a meal. You got to

have different elements so that you get proper nutrition, so that you can you

know get a good spread, but you also want to make sure that it's fitting your

palate of what you enjoy to eat, or in the case of practicing, some of the goals

that you have as a player. Obviously you wouldn't give steak to a vegetarian, much

like you wouldn't necessarily want to spend all your time fingerpicking,

if you're somebody more interested in strumming or vice versa right. So this

week we're going to create a session around kind of, we're going to create a meal

practice session around somebody who's really interested in strumming, wants to

get more comfortable with different chords and wants to start to learn a

little bit more about some music theory as well as just getting better on the

ukulele in general, but with a focus mostly on strumming. So to start here

we're going to create our four-course meal. We're going to have our main dish,

our side dish, our salad (which nobody really wants)

just kidding for salad lovers. Hashtag salad lovers. And our dessert which is

gonna be everyone's favorite part right. But let's go ahead and start with the

the main, the protein or whatever, we'll drop the meal analogy a little bit here. We're

gonna work on a strum pattern and we're going to work on right hand technique to

get really comfortable keeping our hand moving and to maintain a good sense of

rhythm, and to do this we're going to work on a waltz pattern, and this pattern

is actually featured on a course I did here on Ukulele Underground called the

Ultimate Ukulele Strumming Course and this is from the beginner module and you

can check all that information down below and you can check out that course

if you haven't already. But essentially the pattern that we're going to look

like, looks something like this.

To do this we're going to use two chords. We're gonna use two of my favorite chords, we're

gonna use what's called an Fadd9 and all that an Fadd9 is, is your

index finger here on the first fret of the E-string. We're going to do that for

one rotation of this pattern and then the next chord we're going to use is a

C7, we just take this index finger and we move it down one fret or one string

rather to the first fret of the A-string. So very simple transition so we can

focus more on the strumming. So when you're practicing strumming, it's a

really good idea to do it slow and steady,

really consistently, and then gradually speed it up. So let's go and try this

together. We're gonna start on this Fadd9 and I'm going to go just back and

forth between the F and the C7. I'm actually going to say the strum motions

as I make them. So this might be:

Down, Miss, Down, Up, Down, Up. Switch

Down, Miss, Down, Up, Down, Up.

Now let's go ahead and try it a little bit faster.

So to build a good practice habit with that you want to start at a speed

that you can comfortably do and then just gradually increase the speed until

it's one that you're not comfortable and you know that's sort of your limit and

you want to practice up into that zone.

But there's an example of a main course right, a really great strum pattern that

you can reinforce and practice. And again this is meant for more of a beginner

player, somebody who's just starting out and wanting to take that next level

with they're playing. So now let's go ahead and go to the side dish. And the

side dish here is gonna be some chord practice so we're gonna get comfortable

with our left hand, or fretting hand (for those southpaw players) and give a

really fun example chord progression where we're just gonna strum through the

chords with our thumb and focus more on the transitions themselves. So for this

we're gonna start by playing a C chord just our ring finger here on the third

fret of the A-string, that'll be our first chord. Now our next chord is going

to be an E7 and what we're going to do is we're going to move our ring finger

here to the second fret of the A-string take our middle finger, place it on the

second fret of the C, and our index will go here on the first fret of the G-string

The first chord again is the C, just that ring finger on three then that

E7, just pivot it down and then from here we're going to go to an A7 chord.

And the way we do that is we remove these two fingers, our middle and ring

fingers, we move our index finger down one fret or one string rather, to the

first fret of the C-string and that's the first half of the exercise. So we

start the C with our ring finger, then the E7 slide the ring down and add the

other two fingers, and then our index finger goes over to 1.

Then we stop, so to practice this we just want to get some repetition going

gradually increase the speed making sure that we're looking at each one of these

motions. It takes quite a bit of practice just to do it at this speed at first

because of the muscle memory or rather lack thereof that you gradually

will build as you work on these voicings right. But what this starts to teach is

some pivoting with the finger motions because we have our C, the ring finger

pivots down one and then these two fingers come off when we move down here

to the A7, but as I said this is only half way, the other half is we're gonna

take our middle finger place on the second fret of the G, and our ring place

on the second fret of the E-string and take the index off, and this is a D7.

We sometimes call this the Hawaiian D7 chord, there's no D note in it, but we can

use it as a D7, it works great. So we're going to play this chord then a G7 and

here's the important note, these two fingers they don't have to move their

relative position they just have to move down strings because on a G7 chord we're

going to have our middle finger here on 2 of this C, ring finger here on 2 of

the A and then our index comes down on one of the E. So we have our D7 which

again these two are on the G and E strings, G7 and then C to finish it all.

So that second half is:

So we put it together it goes:

Again what this is teaching is some important

efficient movements, fingers sliding into position, fingers moving into position,

fingers staying in position, going all the way through.

It's actually also the chords for I think "Ain't She Sweet" as

well as "Five Foot Two" I think, but anyways it's a really great chord

progression to get that you know fretting hand more involved. So doing a

few reps of those makes for a great side dish so to speak right. Now for the salad

the part that no one wants, even though again people love salad. But anyways for

the salad we're going to do a scale. We're gonna do a C major scale and we've

actually worked on a C major scale before in Webcam Sessions, so if you

haven't checked out that video, please check it out in the link down below,

because we're going to play it as if you already know how, or at least relatively

know how. So C major scale is going to consist of a C note, a D note, E, F, G, A, B

and C. Now it's really helpful when learning something like a scale is to

actually say the notes just like I did there.

C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C

And to make sure that you're using correct fretting habits with it

meaning you want to make sure that you're using the one finger per fret and

that you're not just trying to use one finger the whole way right. Now let's go

and try it descending starting with the high C here, we have

C-B-A-G-F-E-D-C

Again, if you've never played a C major scale that would probably seem a little bit

overwhelming but please do check out the video. We go into great detail of how to

play a C major scale, and what it is and all of that. But working on something

like a scale can really help fulfill some music theory, to start to learn the

note names as well as to get some mechanics of the two hands

working more together right. So now there's one more part which is

everyone's favorite, which is dessert and this is gonna be a little bit

anticlimactic because what the dessert should be is whatever your favorite

thing is. Oftentimes people think that when they're practicing a ukulelet they

need to be working on things that they're not comfortable with that

are putting them outside of of what they know so that they can make progress,

and that's true. We constantly want to be introducing new challenges to stimulate

us and to be able to overcome those challenges and and get better, but

it's never never a bad idea to play things that are fun, the guilty pleasures

for instance or noodling time, and I think that the dessert of your meal of

practice should always be something that you really enjoy playing, it could be

something very simple, it could be something that you've been playing for a

long time. It doesn't actually really matter what it is, but just like you want

to end a great meal with a dessert that you know that you love, it's kind of

a guilty pleasure, you want to end your practice session with something fun and

that leaves your practice session on a good note and you know making you want

to pick up and start playing again soon right. So every good thing has

every good meal ends with a great dessert right. Anyways so this is just an

example practice session, obviously it's not the amount of time that you should

spend practicing on it, to talk about that just a little bit, each one of those

steps that we sort of worked on, you could spend several more minutes on and

really depending on you is how long you're going to spend on it, meaning if

you're really struggling with the strumming, spend some extra time with it.

If you're really struggling with the scale maybe spend extra time with that.

It's going to be determined by your skill level and what you're comfortable

with, but overall I think that doing those things will create a really nice

little practice routine for a beginner player that's looking to take a couple

next steps. Next week we're going to work on a more involved and more advanced

practice session that's going to focus more on fingerpicking and some of that

kind of chord melody type of sound and so I'm really excited to work on that

because that's more of the stuff that I liked to practice and like to practice.

And so if you guys want to see more videos like this in this kind of

practice session routine, please leave a comment down below,

might be something for a series moving forward we'll see, and I'll see you guys

next week for the next set of these three videos where we'll work on a more

advanced practice routine. Thanks.

NOT SO MINI HAUL! TARGET + AMERICAN EAGLE + LIZARD THICKET + FRANCESCA'S - Duration: 5:52.

hey guys welcome back to my Channel

today I'm super excited because I have a

little mini haul for you guys and guess

it's red not really mini like I kind of

have a lot of stuff here so I probably

should get into it if you guys enjoyed

this video don't forget to hit that

subscribe button down below there's also

a little notification bell that you can

hit if you want to be notified when I

post new videos so with that being said

let's get on into it alright so the

first bag I have is from lizard thicket

this is probably one of my favorite

stores just because I feel like it

represents my style the most I don't

know if they actually have like stores

in every location in the US I don't even

know if they have stores out of the US

but I know they are online so you guys

can go check them out on there but the

first thing I got from them is adorable

you guys I absolutely love this jacket I

think it's so so cute and it has like a

little hood with little roll up sleeves

and it's just this kind of kamle dark

brown color and then when you put it on

it can cinch up really tight and cute I

think this is so adorable and it kind of

has that like shiny material on the

inside

so you guys should definitely go check

this out it's perfect for fall it's

really long you can wear it with like

skinny jeans or leggings so it almost

reminds me of like a fall type of rain

jacket but I don't think it's waterproof

so I don't know why I said that but it's

so cute and then the next thing I picked

up from lizard thicket are these really

cute long high-waisted paper bag shorts

they're kind of a litany material and I

love that they have a little tie bow at

the waist they are so cute and they're

long enough so you can like wear these

to school and everything I think these

are adorable

especially for fall transitioning into

winter I think this is going to be

adorable to wear I love olive green and

then to pair with those I got this

really cool stretchy like tube top it's

long enough to tuck into the shorts

since the shorts are high waisted and

then you just wear a little cardigan or

some

overtop of it I think this is so cute

and I love that it stretches it's really

comfortable and it looks so pretty when

you have a little bit of that leftover

tan from the summer so the first thing I

picked up from Francesca's are these

dark wash jeans I think they are so cute

my favorite thing about them are the

bottoms I love that frayed bottom with

the darker caps at the end and then they

just have like a very simple button-up

classic Jean style which I love three

buttons going up and then I would go a

little bit bigger because I did try

these on and I think I'm gonna have to

exchange in for a bigger size because

normally I wear 27 which is like a size

4 so I would size up because these are a

little tight and normally I always get

size fours at Francesca's and they work

out perfectly and these were just a

little bit tight so I think I'm gonna

exchange them but I absolutely love this

pair of jeans the other thing that I got

from Francesca's is just a little bit

wrinkly because it's been sitting in the

bag it has these cute roll up sleeves

and then it's like a buttoned down crop

top so it doesn't show your belly really

at all you just kind of tie it and it's

just a little bit shorter of a shirt so

you can really show off those cute jeans

with the buttons down the front so I

love this striped kind of beige and

white top it's so cute and classic and I

think that if you pair this with a

cardigan or a jacket in the fall this

would be super cute so that's all that I

got from Francesca's and now from

American evil I'm actually wearing the

top from American Eagle right now I

think this is such an adorable top I

love the color so much kind of that

oranjee it's not totally like a burnt

orange color it's almost like a

tangerine Sunkist orange I love it so

much and then it has the little ties

right here and you just stick your arms

and these little arm hole things and

it's so so cute and then to go with this

I wanted to pair green bottoms so these

actually look a lot cuter on than they

do just like right here but they're

these kind of cardigan II pants and they

are tight on your booty and your body

and

they have these little pockets on the

side and this is what the front looks

like I just think these are so cute and

they almost remind me of like what's

that girl was it she liked GI Jane or GI

yeah I think it was GI Jane almost kind

of right it reminds me of that like

almost like Safari you know I love this

green olive green is like my thing in

every season I love olive green so much

especially paired with this shirt I

think these two colors just look so good

together and then last but not least I

went to Target you guys know how much I

love Target I got this really cute

orange basic t-shirt

I love how heavy it is it doesn't feel

too lightweight it's super soft in like

a great quality material it's from the

brand a new day and I absolutely love

the color and I love that it has these

little roll up sleeves so that's why I

pick that up and then the last thing

that I got from Target which i think is

so cute it has the same little ties at

the top as this shirt does but it's

yellow and white and I think this would

be so cute for like a little picnic or

some pictures this normally isn't like a

pattern I'd wear but I think it almost

reminds me of like corn and fall and

cuteness so I got it and I absolutely

love it on so that is all for my mini

haul I hope you guys enjoyed this video

thank you all so much for watching and

I'll see you next time bye

I just want to hold you

10 Crucial skills that make a great Coach - Duration: 11:55.

Hey guys it's Scott Harris the founder of

Ultimate Expert and Ultimate Coach

Professional (we train the world's best

coaches) stopping by to chat today about

what makes somebody a great coach - if

someone's gonna reach out, connect with

you, and impact you and serve you in some

way, shape, or form - what is it that makes

them a great coach? What are the skills

and tools, and traits, and personality

styles that're important for you or

someone that you want to engage and

employ a great coach. I thought I'd break

it down today into two very simple lists.

Two very simple lists so if you're

watching this and you're not driving

your car and you're not working out

somewhere then you should probably get a

pen and paper and take some notes. So

let's have a conversation about what is

it that I believe, what is it that I know

after more than two decades of doing

this, about what makes a great coach.

So here's how it starts it starts very simply

my friends and that is you're gonna need

two sets of skills and the first set of

skills you're going to need is what I

call some hard skills. You're gonna need

some hard skills and I'll chat about

what those things are but you're also

gonna need tadaa as I do the big

reveal you're gonna need some soft

skills. So the first thing I'd write down

is I need some hard skills and soft

skills. Now I got good news and bad news

and I'm gonna go with the bad news first

the bad news is soft skills can't really

be taught you got to have them and the

good news is that hard skills all day

every day can be taught, can be learned,

can be modeled, can be mirrored and can

certainly be continually, continually

improved so if you're looking to coach,

teach, speak, mentor, any kind of

coaching, teaching, speaking, mentoring are

all very similar things, very similar

skill sets. Let's run through what I think

the necessary skills are so let's look

first at the soft skills and so this is

kind of my top five if you will

certainly it's a more extensive list but

my top five things that I think that you

need to have if you're considering a

career in speaking teaching coaching and

mentoring. The first is no surprise you

actually kind of have to like people. Now

that seems kind of funny to write

because I like people

I like people a lot but if you're in

this business to make money or be famous

or to get your name next to somebody

so you can take their selfie this

probably isn't gonna work long term. It

might work in the short term but long

term you actually have to genuinely like

people, like hanging out with them, like

talking to them, like listening to them,

like having conversations be all about

them, so that's kind of my first really

important soft skill. From the time I was

you know old enough to remember I loved

people I loved talking to them, I loved

meeting them, I loved connecting with

them, I love supporting them so that's

kind of number one. Number two no

surprise I think is you kind of gotta

have this thing called compassion which

means you're gonna have to genuinely care about

people, you have to actually have some

compassion and some empathy - not sympathy

which is one of the distinctions I teach

in my programs. That you gotta have some

compassion for people, do you actually

care about them and care about their

journey, care about their fears, care about

their doubts, care about where it is that

they end up. Knowing that coaching is

about moving people forward surely

having some compassion is hugely, hugely

important. Third skill, the third of these

critically important soft skills (again

this seems obvious) you have to have a

genuine willingness to help other people.

And it's got to be genuine! Again if

it's incentivized and motivated by the

cheque or the cash if it's incentivised or

motivated by the fame or the celebrity

it's gonna bring you this is never gonna

work long-term. If you have a genuine

willingness to go above and beyond that

might mean sometimes taking a call at a

strange time of the night or taking a

text or a message when it's inconvenient

or working with someone really deeply

when they're trying to maybe close a

deal or convert a project or get

something done. But a genuine authentic

willingness to serve and help other

people. Fourth one I think it's pretty

exciting and that is you gotta have some

life experience which means ideally

you've had both some ups and some downs

now certainly in my life there's been lots

of incredible incredible ups and there's

certainly been some downs some of them

self-inflicted because I've made some

poor choices and some of them just

circumstance and the deal that I was

dealt by the universe and all my life.

But you got to have some ups and downs.

so don't be thinking you need to be

perfect, don't be thinking you need to be

this shiny polished instagrammed

pretend facade of a person.

You want to have some life experience

and for me life experience is more than

just this thing happened to me, but

actually this thing happened to me and

here's what I learnt from that. That's

kind of what I think by experience if

something happened and you didn't learn

from it it kind of was an experience it

was just a thing that happened. So have I

had some life experience, and have I

learnt from those things, and have those

learnings then impacted me and changed me

as I am. And again these are all

things that are part of your hopefully

your DNA hopefully your genetic

makeup. And then the fifth, the fifth of

my really important soft skills if you

wanna be a great coach, and a great

speaker, mentor is you have to want a

better life. You know the essence and

point of coaching and mentoring is to

move people forward and so if you're one

of those people just wants to go "well

I'm at peace with the world and I'm

happy where I am" and you know "I'm not

looking to make money" or "I'm not looking

to change" "I'm not looking to get

healthier" "I'm not looking to improve my

life" well you're probably gonna be great

chitchat you're gonna be great at being

a friend but you might not actually be

awesome at helping people move forward

so you gotta want a better life.

That's kind of my top five that's the

soft skills if you've got those I'm

telling you you're probably halfway

qualified to being a great coach, speaker,

mentor, teacher in some way shape or form.

Now these are the ones me personally

I'm not great at teaching these you kind

of got to have them

now so there's two sets of skills soft

skills and hard skills the hard skills I

think that are critically important.

Again this list is not gonna be

exhaustive there's gonna be other things

I would add to this but if I had to on

this quick video give you my top five

the hot skills would be this. And the hard

skills the first one is holy smokes

ladies and gentlemen you gotta be able

to create relationships! You've got to

build and create great, deep, intimate,

genuine, authentic relationships and you

can't fake that man. And there are some

skills and science, and whether that's

through NLP, through matching and

mirroring, through certain types of

questions - but the ability to create

relationships of trust, and connection,

and rapport, are critically important

because as a mentor, as a coach, you're

gonna delve

into parts of people's lives that

truthfully they probably haven't

revealed to anybody else! So you need

some skills and tools to not just like

people - that's a given, but actually have

the skills, the tools, the NLP programming,

the mindset, the questioning, the

mirroring, the the modeling, the actual

tools and skills to be able to create

genuine, authentic, impactful,

relationships that's hard skill number

one. Hard skill number two and this one is

critical. It's critical you have to have the

ability to ask quality questions, not

just random questions, not just fill in

the blank questions, but actual quality

questions. In fact there's two questions

(we might do another tape on this another

video on this if you like) there's two

questions they're gonna make you all

your money and cause you all your impact,

and we might chat about those another

day. If you want maybe put a comment in

the little box down the bottom. But the

ability to ask quality questions,

questions with a purpose, questions that

unfold, questions that open, questions

that hone in.. and knowing which question

to ask at the right time and certainly I

think having at least a hundred quality

questions in your back pocket - in your

tool belt if you will it's critically

important to being an effective coach,

speaker, mentor, you know you can be a

great speaker and you'd be doing your

PowerPoint presentation and standing

behind the lectern or doing whatever you

want to do but the minute you put a

microphone in a client's hand, the minute

somebody from the audience stands up and

starts to engage with you, the minute a

reporter asked you a question, the minute

you start to get some feedback from

people, now you're going to start to have

a dialogue when you need coaching skills

and the ability to ask great questions

is hugely important to that critical

skill. Third skill - the third skill is the

opposite of asking questions and that

is the ability to pay attention - actively

listen, be an expert, being a guru, being a

coach, it's not about you just talking

for the whole 45 minutes - people will

tell you what their wounds, desires, needs,

and fears if you listen. It sounds

kind of corny to say but I read it one

day on a little fortune cookie that said

"you know what I got one mouth and two

ears" I say that to my boys Wisdom and

Justice "Son properly listening

it's more important than talking" but you

gotta be able to actively listen I

wanted to write actively and retentively

listen which means pay attention

retain what it is they're sharing

because as you ask people quality

questions from the place of a great

relationship they're gonna tell you

things that are really important and

they're gonna tell you where the X on

the pirate map is and the X is where to

dig. More on this another day the fourth the

fourth most important hard skill is you

really have to make sure my friends is

that you actually got to know how to

coach like do you have a system and a

structure to move people forward within

a session and move them forward over a

period of six nine 12 or 18 sessions

because if you're just hanging out

randomly chatting if you're just - I don't

know feeling good for 45 minutes, if

you're just making people like you, or

making them like themselves, that's cool

but I could do that with the juice, or a

smoothie, or even a beer - do you actually

have a system and structure designed and

built and carefully crafted to move

people forward knowing where you are on

the journey, knowing what's coming up

ahead, knowing what problems both normal and

abnormal to be expected. Do you have a

system and structure and actually know

how to coach? That would be important the

fifth, the fifth of my important skills

hard skills of being a great coach is do

you know how to sell your story? What's

your story from rags to riches, what's

your story from slavery to freedom,

what's your story from being overwhelmed

and challenged, to freedom and success,

and joy. The ability to know your story

and to sell your story and market your

story to a particular audience allows a

certain type of person to be drawn to

you and as a consequence you get to sell

and market and monetize your coaching

speaking and mentoring skills. So that's

kind of my top five create great

relationships, ask quality questions, and

as I mentioned there's two very specific

questions we might chat about on another

session, the ability to actively and

retentively listen, the ability to know

how to coach, what's your system what's

your structure, and then finally do you

actually have an ability to sell your

story, what is your story, is it chunked

down was it marketable,

can you sell it, and do you know how to

sell it. so that's kind of my list for you

today. If you want to be a great coach,

speaker, mentor, guru, expert in some

way shape or form two sets of skills some

soft skills about being kind and nice

and liking people having compassion and

some hard skills some technical skills

which you've got to learn from somewhere

I hope this has been valuable and useful

If you've got any questions about anything you

know what to do

type away in the box I love to chat to

you guys and girls about what are you

doing and how is it happening and how's

it unfolding so Chataway

ask me a question and we'll give you

the best possible answer we can.

Until then live very very deliberately and bye

for now

you

5 Tips to Decrease Pet Fur in Your Home - Duration: 5:02.

And give this video a thumbs-up if what

you're seeing in the video right now is

what it's like when you try to brush

your cat hello everyone and welcome back

to char with me it's Hannah from Chore With Me today we

are decluttering cat fur please don't

forget to subscribe because how can you

say no to this face or this one so now

that you've been guilted into

subscribing to my channel and watching

all of my videos let's get to the real

reason you came to watch this video what

I do to keep cat fur from taking over my

house completely to be honest I've had

cats for nine years and it is a bit of a

losing battle there will always be fur

somewhere you don't want it and while

your precious fair monsters won't be

helping you get rid of the mess your

Swiffer or vacuum cleaner absolutely

will I know what you're thinking doing

it every single day is a lot but if I

aim for six days a week and I do only

four days a week

that's better than aiming for one day a

week and doing it you know once every

two and that's one of the reasons I

bought my Swiffer I don't want to have

to go grab the vacuum cleaner every time

I see a piece of fur floating by so

having this handy I can just grab it

give the floor a quick sweep and I'm

finished this doesn't take the place of

my vacuum cleaner but it's convenient

for just a quick sweep up and the hair

seems to stick quite well that brings us

to number two no cats allowed only in

specific rooms of course our guest

bedrooms bathrooms and piano room

there's still plenty of places for them

to roam around in the house even though

they aren't allowed to go into these

rooms I really like keeping these rooms

fur free as well in case we have

unexpected guests it also means less

cleaning for me which is never a bad

thing

number three brush your cats and for

this you're gonna need two things a

willing cat and a good brush and of

course Caesar our cat that sheds like

crazy doesn't like being brushed so

typical a willing cat is gonna be the

tricky part we have one that doesn't

mind being brushed and one that well

he'll do anything to avoid being brushed

and he's always done being brushed long

before were actually finished oh and

give this video a thumbs up of what

you're seeing in the video right now is

what it's like when you try to brush

your cat he always escapes into that

freaking tunnel why he'll at least like

a brushes tail it was pretty much a

losing battle until I figured out

something that he loves to do and it

sounds

our cats are strictly indoor cats but

they do get to both side right now for a

treat

basically so I can brush them both of

our cats absolutely love grass so this

is perfect they get to eat grass I get

to brush them and the only one that

really loses is that poor plant it's

looking kind of rough so I guess my

solution for the cat that doesn't like

to be brushed is find something that

they like to do and then let them do it

while you brush them pretty simple

concept I'm not sure why it took me so

long to figure that out

and does he still occasionally run away

sure but at least now I can brush them

for more than five seconds at a time

this is currently my favorite cat comb

it grabs the hair really well and you

can remove the front to clean it I did

try this brush for a while but I really

didn't like it because it really doesn't

remove a whole lot of cat hair as you

can tell

much better that is what I'm looking to

find when I'm combing my cat I'll leave

a link down in the description box for

the brush that I do like obviously we're

not sponsored but just want to share

something that works really well for us

and the non-functioning brush is now

Lola's play toy and I think that brings

us to number four cover their nap spots

with blankets our cat's favorite siesta

spots that seem to be beds couches and

chairs all of the spots I do not want

covered in fur so how this works is

basically I just creep on them until I

find them laying in their favorite spots

over and over and then I just put down a

towel or a blanket to catch all the fur

I've had a lot of success with this

tactic especially because cats like to

lie on anything they're not supposed to

lay on so if you give them a blanket

they automatically assume it's for them

this makes staying on top of fur control

so much easier we've also invested in a

couple of cat towers and they absolutely

love those and finally number five cat

rollers that's what I call them sticky

rollers buy them buy lots and lots of

these you will need them I'm pretty sure

my husband and I are single-handedly

keeping this company in business can I

help you with something it's not

technically allowed up here I pretty

much keep these lint rollers all over my

house so when people come and visit they

know they're gonna leave fur free I also

keep it in my vehicle and a little one

in my purse just in case so there you go

I hope you enjoyed the five tips that I

gave you today please leave a comment

down below what do you guys do to keep

fur from taking over your entire house

thumbs up if you liked the video would

be much appreciated and I'll see you

guys next week

have a great one
