Celebrity Chef Outbursts Caught On Camera - Duration: 3:51.Many celebrity chefs are as famous for their fiery personalities as they are for their
culinary skills.
Add in the stress of working in a professional kitchen, mixed with the pressures of creating
compelling TV, and stir in a huge pinch of ego… and you have the recipe for some wild
outbursts, all caught on camera.
The Shushing Guy
Sam "The Cooking Guy" Zien hasn't achieved Gordon Ramsay-level culinary fame just yet,
but he certainly made a name for himself during a memorable appearance on Today in 2008 when
he snapped at co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee to be quiet during his segment.
"Please, can I talk?
I watch the show everyday — everybody has issues with a lot of chatter back here.
Pay attention one minute."
"I can hear the crew back there going, 'This guy, it's his last day here, for sure.'"
"They've been around a long time, because they don't talk to us like that."
Uncomfortable as the segment seemed, Zien later revealed to Howard Stern that the show
took it in stride and invited him back several times.
He even agreed to an equally awkward segment featuring an etiquette expert who said he
was out of line.
"Oh snap."
Carroll's hot mic moment
No one expected fan favorite Jen Carroll to exit the 2010 season of Top Chef All Stars
on the second episode, but that's exactly what happened after a particularly tense round
of judging for her poorly executed eggs and pork belly dish.
Carroll, while clearly embarrassed, seemed to take it well, doling out hugs and well
wishes to the remaining chefs, but then she walked through the exit door and forgot she
was mic'd up.
"It's f---ing bull---t.
Not even close to being even f—-ing clipped at the f---ing bottom, not even f---ing close!"
Carroll later explained her outburst to the Inquirer, saying,
"The Philadelphia came out in me.
Sometimes that attitude and aggression shows through.
But I went down swinging.
I was upset and I got emotional.
I didn't want to go home."
Flay's flameout
It's impossible to watch five minutes of Food Network programming without seeing celebrity
chef Bobby Flay.
The ginger BBQ king has had so many shows on the network that they could rename it "Bobby
TV" and no one would bat an eye.
Except maybe Guy Fieri.
Bobby Flay is also an Iron Chef, or at least he was until he dramatically quit that gig
during a taping in the summer of 2017.
According to People, Flay decided to keep his exit a secret from everyone until he reportedly
whipped off his chef coat in the middle of the competition to reveal a t-shirt underneath
that read, "THIS IS MY LAST IRON CHEF BATTLE EVER."
The network temporarily shelved the episode and later edited out the stunt, so this outburst
was, at one point, "caught on camera," but the footage is now under wraps.
Flay initially tried to walk it back as a joke, but he eventually admitted he really
was done with Iron Chef and wanted to, quote, "go out on a high note."
Regarding the t-shirt, he told a crowd at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in
February 2018,
"The network was not thrilled.
[...] I thought it would be good TV.
[The network] didn't think of it that way, and that's obviously their prerogative."
Marco gets saucy
Often called the original celebrity chef, famous British hothead Marco Pierre White
became the youngest chef ever to earn two Michelin stars in 1990 during his tenure as
the head honcho of Harveys in London.
It's there that he trained fellow hothead Gordon Ramsay, and he reportedly made Ramsay
cry on at least one occasion.
"No, I didn't make Gordon Ramsay cry.
He made himself cry.
That was his choice to cry."
His trademark intensity was on display during an interview, well, an attempted interview
at least, on the 1989 BBC docu-series Marco.
White tersely answers with one word replies before arguing that he shouldn't have to even
endure the line of questioning:
"Y'know, all I've got to do, All I've got to do is make the sauce.
That is what I'm being paid for.
Not being paid for anything else, to make the f---ing sauce."
White goes on to clarify that he'll happily perform his culinary duties on camera, but
only on his terms:
"If you want me to chop the chicken, I'll chop the chicken, if you want me to chop the
mushrooms, I'll chop the mushrooms, if you want me to make the sauce, I'll make the sauce.
But don't expect me to sell my heart."

Porsche 911 Carrera T: Why It's the Driver's 911 | Edmunds - Duration: 11:50.[MUSIC PLAYING]
ALISTAIR WEAVER: Let me take you back to 1973.
The Vietnam War is ending.
The Watergate scandal is gathering pace.
The world's first cell phone call
is being made in New York City.
And Porsche is selling this, the 911T.
Back then, the T was the entry level 911,
complete with a 2.4 liter engine,
developing 140 horsepower.
Now, in modern terms, that's roughly equivalent of a Honda
Fit.
Quick, this is not, but there's a reason
it's for sale for $149,000.
You can feel the gearbox mesh from cog to cog.
The steering is unassisted.
The engine sings sweetly behind my ears.
This is an entirely different experience to the complication
and electronics of today.
This is automotive vinyl.
And just as vinyl has staged a Renaissance, so has the 911T.
Billed as the driver's choice, it
seeks to fuse the spirits of the early 911's
with the sophistication of today,
and a price tag that's just north of $100,000.
So is this a better, more emotive version
of what is already Edmunds' favorite sports car, or just
a poor pastiche of an icon?
We'll find out on Road and Track.
Choosing a modern 911 is a bit like picking a pizza.
There are over 20 different ones to choose from,
all working from the same base.
The T takes a standard Carrera, the Margarita,
if you like, and adds a few choice toppings.
The rear window glass is thinner to save weight.
The 20-inch wheels are pinched from the Carrera S, their sport
suspension, a limited slip differential, a sports exhaust,
and of course, some go faster stripes.
Our car also has these optional carbon fiber seats, which
I detest for three reasons.
One, they cost $5,200, and I'd rather have a nice watch.
Two, choosing than means depriving
yourself of the rear seats, which for me, at least,
have always been a key part of the 911's appeal.
And thirdly, you look like an absolute numpty
getting in and out.
[GRUNTS]
[MUSIC PLAYING]
This car really grew out of the success of the special edition
911R, a car that proved to Porsche that its customers are
willing to sacrifice absolute speed for driving pleasure.
I remember being on a press event for the 911
and talking to Walter Rohrl, the German double world rally
champion turned ace Porsche test driver.
I asked him whether there was a place for a driver-focused 911
in the mainstream range, and he gave me
this kind of knowing look, and well, here we are
For a man who built his reputation
in the crazy, super-powered [INAUDIBLE] era of rallying
back in the 1980s, it's ironic that Rohrl has always
been an opponent of the horsepower war.
He reckons anything more than 350 horsepower on a road car
is, frankly, unnecessary.
And you know what?
I think he's got a point.
This T takes a standard engine from a Carrera.
So it's a 3-liter with small turbos
developing, 370 horsepower, and 331 pounds feet of torque.
Now, when you think that the Ford Mustang
GT has 460 horsepower, that doesn't sound like a lot.
But only the most tedious bar bore
would describe this car as underpowered.
On the road, it just feels beautifully considered.
As you might have noticed, our test car
has a PDK flappy paddle gearbox, a $3,700 option.
It might make sense in city traffic,
but it undermines the Carrera T's purity of purpose.
Me, I'll stick with the stick.
[ENGINE ROARS]
This engine doesn't sound as good as the old air-cooled 911s
that died in the late 1990s, nor did it sound quite as good
as the naturally aspirated engine
in the previous generation 911.
But to say that somehow it's lacking in sonorous appeal
is, frankly, a nonsense.
And it's helped in this car by the sports
exhaust and the thinner rear glass,
and the loss of sound deadening.
So it's all a lot more immediate, a lot more emotive.
I mean, it just sounds like nothing else on the road.
[ENGINE ROARS]
This car has standard sport suspension,
which lowers the whole thing by 0.39 of an inch or about that.
What I like about it is it offers some flexibility.
So you can use this switch on the steering wheel
to pull the throttle and gearbox into multi-mode,
then you can use another button here to detune the damping,
and give yourself a bit of compliance,
which on a road like this, is what you need.
If you have [INAUDIBLE] that's too stiff,
you're going to feel like the car is going to pitch you
off the road at any moment.
This is wonderfully compliant, and that
helps add to that kind of fluency that has always
been a 911 trademark.
Rivals like the Jaguar F-type and the Mercedes AMG GT
have more power, and a kind of brutish front engine appeal,
but they lack the subtlety, the nuance of the 911.
It really is a experience like no other,
and that's why it's been around for as long as it has.
Even the steering, which was criticized
on early versions of this generation 911
for its electric assistance, has been honed over time.
So it now offers a superb combination
of a feel and waiting.
Porsche, more than any other mark,
is great at just subtly evolving its cars,
just refining them over time, just
adding those little nuances that, taken together,
make a huge difference to the experience.
Our car has the optional rear axle steering,
which cost $2090.
In simple terms, what it does is to encourage the rear wheels
to steer, and in doing so, make the wheelbase
feel shorter than it actually is,
and that enhances the car's agility on twisting roads
like this.
I'm not a big fan of going deep into Porsche's option range,
but this is one that I would add to my car.
As a road car, I can't think of another sports car that
has this depth of ability, and is better
suited to everyday driving on roads like these.
I'm really worried that this review is
starting to sound like a eulogy, but this car really
is that good.
Now, part of the appeal of the 911
has always been its ability to take you
to the shops on a Friday, then let
you dabble in some racetrack shenanigans on a Saturday.
So I think it's about time we leave
the beauty of Mulholland Drive in Malibu,
and head to the Edmunds test track.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Now our test team have just crunched the numbers
and sent me over the acceleration
figures for this car.
Now, Porsche claims a Carrera T with a PDK gearbox to 0
to 60 in four seconds dead.
Our test team, 3.6 seconds.
That's extraordinary.
That's just 2/10 of a second slower than a Carrera S,
and it's not far behind over the quarter mile either--
11.8 seconds versus 11.4 for the S.
So don't tell me this car needs more power.
Let's hit the track.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Now, Porsche doesn't claim that the Carrera
T is a circuit special.
T stands for touring, not track.
It's not as hardcore as a motor sport derived GT3 or GT2,
but don't think for a moment that it's not fun out here.
In some ways, less is more.
To get the best out of a GT3 or a GT2,
you need loads of talent and loads of commitment,
but this car, it's so much more accessible.
You don't have to have divine talent
to start to have some fun with this car and start to play
with its limits, really start to feel it move around.
There's less air or less grip than you'd get in a GT3,
so ultimately, it will be slower.
But you know what?
That's not what having fun is all about.
It's not all about lap time.
It's about how the car makes you feel.
A little lift into this corner, turn it back
on the power, hard on the brakes, turning a little as we
brake.
Couldn't do that in an early 911.
Turn in, feed the throttle, feel the under steer
power out to counter that.
It's just fabulous.
Give a little into the corner here, sacrifice a bit
to get the power on the exit.
Breaking now and turn in.
Little bit of brakes on the turning,
it just helps the nose in.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Our test track also has a low friction handling circuit,
which simulates driving on ice.
So here we go onto this low-grip surface.
Now, this is kind of a bit of fun,
but it also gives you a real sense
of where the car's basic handling balance is.
I mean, can you imagine doing this in an old 911?
You're basically just steering it on the throttle.
Flick it one way at left, get the weight
distribution going, a little bit of power,
try and get the pendulum going.
[GIGGLES]
I'm getting paid for this.
Just tease the throttle, work the steering,
flick it back the other way.
Porsche have done such an incredible job
over the years of basically honing what
is a physical imperfection.
If you were designing a sports car today,
there's no way that you would hang the engine out
behind the rear axle.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Even though it's a turbo engine, the throttle response
is pretty good, which allows you to play with it like this.
It's hard work.
We've been debating in the Edmunds office which
of these we'd buy if we found $100,000 hiding
under the mattress.
It's a fun sport, but to be honest,
it's not really the point.
These plastic air-cooled 911s are an investment piece, a toy,
an alternative to a boat or maybe even an oil painting.
They're not really a car in a traditional sense, this is.
The 911T is about Porsche rediscovering its roots.
Yes, they sell more SUVs and sports cars these days,
but it's still with 911 that defines Porsche,
and it's variants like the T that define the 911.
If you've got oodles of cash and you're a track day warrior,
then buy a GT3 and don't regret it,
but if you want a fun, fast, surprisingly practical road
car, then buy the Carrera T. It's not only the best
all-around 911 on sale today, it's also
the world's finest sports car.
[MUSIC PLAYING]

Recently helped to organize an ice cream social at my church
Maybe some of you saw my posts on Instagram and Facebook
and I made several of the ice cream toppings that we served and I took lots and lots of pictures and
It was such a success and it was so much fun. I knew I had to do a video
We did a video right after we set everything up before we let people run through the line and
I've made up a couple of little ice cream sundaes here with each of the toppings
I made this creamy peanut butter ice cream topping a hot fudge sauce a hot salted caramel sauce and
A short cut strawberry ice cream topping that are all so easy to make with ingredients
You probably have in your pantry and you're just gonna love them
So I have gonna be building a page on my website. You'll be able to link through and all these recipes will be on there
Maybe sometime in the future
I'll do individual videos sharing how to make these but they're so simple and the recipes will talk to you all the way through
So I hope you enjoy this video and I hope you go check out the recipes
You'll be able to find the link down below in the information box. Hi everyone. Welcome back to not my kitchen

I have it set on high because doesn't have a lid on it and it's half filled with water and that's gonna help heat these
up to melting so that they'll be nice and warm when it's time to serve which is
In about an hour I'd say and it's gonna be perfect moving on down here
We've set up a little sprinkle station because who doesn't love sprinkles and then we have our topping station

on the Israeli side
there is a lot of racism
there is discrimination between Arabs and Jews

The Victory Series Ep 5 Part 2 - Duration: 14:34.About approximately 16 years
I began to carry load for women
In that moment I saw the need of women.
The need to be motivated in many areas.
A woman is an influence in her home and with her family.
I began to see that there were lots of women that were abandoned, with hard feelings, sadness and hatred in their hearts.
With resentment, bitterness. There were lots of road blocks preventing them from getting ahead.
I asked God to help me work with these women.
In this moment, I began to have a women's conference where we could minister to needs of a women.
Year after year in the month of October, I began to have a conference
I felt that every year I was stronger
It helped me and it helped other women.
The vision of the conference motivated me so much, that for 9 months I would spend every day thinking about what we are going to do for the women
How can we help them, how they can get ahead
I think what made me strong, was doing these conferences.
As of today 15 years have passed and I think that prepared me for the trail I have gone through with cancer.
I want to tell you that sometimes we don't go through things by chance.
I thnk that when we go through difficult situations, God allows us to understand others who are going through similar situations
I had never seen that group of women that went through cancer. I didn't know what it was through go through an illness or cancer.
When I went through that process, because it was a long process
It was about two years in the process
It was one thing after another, but that is where I was able to learn to push forward
I was able to learn to fight with more force.
I want you guys to know that if you are going through a difficult situation, don't quit.
Second of all, look for help.
There are lots of places where you can ask for help,
because when we talk about cancer, we tend to think death, but we can recover
We need to learn to give ourselves proper nutrition.
This was something that I did not do.
Taking time to do these things for myself.
Overall I want you to get closer to God.
Being closer to God is fine by me and is good for you.
In the month of November, the Doctor had told me, you are done with the aggressive treatment.
Now we are going to start another treatment.
Every time I received a new treatment, it was more aggressive than the last.
He said there is something that is happening. Instead of the cancer shrinking to allow for surgery, what is happening is that it is expanding.
The only thing that is shrinking is the width. Which is rare because it doesn't normally happen this way.
I think that the chemotherapy hasn't worked.
That was a moment of sadness for me because I had gone through so much pain. Really intense pain
Pain that hurts deep in your bones,
where the poison is entering your body.
That is where I needed God.
I'm not speaking of a religion, or a custom but a relationship.
I thought I knew God a certain way, but in that experience when its just you and God., I knew him in a different way.
The things that used to be important to me, no longer were.
Now I value other things. I value time, family. lots of things that sometimes I ran around, but now I give them time.
Time is very important and again I had to wait for another process.
I was told it was time and they were sending me with a specialist
and its time to have a serious surgery.
You will have to go through steps and that is another stage in my life.
That is another process. It is one thing to be diagnosed with cancer.
When you begin to lose organs, it's like they take an arm, like they take a hand, its like they are taking a piece of you that is yours and they take it.
I couldn't assimilate with this idea, it was very difficult
Even though I had counseled people in the past, because I was living trough it: it was more difficult.
In life I know and have studied that we will have 40 losses.
Sometimes we lose friends, properties, we lose material things. When we lose our health that is difficult.
When we lose a member of our body, its very difficult.
I felt like I wasn't going to be able to handle it.
I couldn't process it in my mind.
They asked me if I wanted a counselor or a psychologist and for me that was difficult. I was conscious of everything they were telling me.
That were I asked God, " I need to be strong"
If before I was strong, I needed double that strength to handle what was coming.
I needed to talk to my husband
When I went to see the specialist, they said they had some bad news.
It felt as if it was one bad news after another and I couldn't get out of it.
In every bit of bad news I received, I felt like I was climbing a rung on a ladder.
Even though you get bad news, I feel like you can transform that with the help of God.
Its because you are growing and because you are expanding, because you are getting to another change and to another level.
As I was going through it, I began to understand it.
When the doctor spoke to me, he said that they could see cancer in my other breast.
That was another defeat
He told me we would have to go ahead and do the surgery.
He said we need to do it quick.
In December, December 20th I went in to surgery.
It was a challenge because the doctor told me that I could not have a reconstructive surgery.
The people that lose a part of their body
They lose a finger, lots of times people laugh or if they don't have a hand. They make jokes and kid around
You know what, they don't understand how difficult it is for someone when you lose something that is yours.
When you lose something, that your entire life has been part of you.
When you lose it, it is difficult.
I want to tell you that now I can tell other women, " You can do it"
If I can do it, you can also do it.
Is it tough? Yes. In that moment I think God has mercy and gives us more strength.
Today I am alive because of a miracle. Today I can tell you that the process has been difficult
Today I cry because of my gratitude to God for life.
Also for gratefulness and I want for you all to understand that losing a part of yourself is not easy.
It is difficult. In that we continue to grow and God continues to push us ahead.
I love you guys and I am able to share that it truly has not been easy for me.
There have many moments that were very difficult.
If it wasn't with the help of God, I probably wouldn't be here.
I thought I wasn't going to be strong enough to go through this.
I wasn't to thank lots of people that gave me their love and their prayers.
I think God has given me a second chance and now even though I'm not complete. Now I have a bigger heart to be able to love and do lots of things.
Now with a larger desire to help more women.
With a larger desire for this women's conference in October.
This year with more sureness, with more effort, with more desire to serve God and to do the best.
For me this time in my life is very important.

How To Supercharge Your Sales With Visual Models - Duration: 2:56.Hi, Renee Hasseldine here from Shareyourpassion.com.au and today I'm going to be sharing with you
how your sales can be supercharged when you turn what is in your head into a signature
system and use visual models.
I was one of those people that was very comfortable selling other people's stuff and products.
I found that selling as a thing not so hard but when it came to selling myself, selling
my own services, I had a bit of an icky sticking point, a limited kind of mindset, and I felt
genuinely uncomfortable about it.
What I found was when I created my signature system for myself, even though I've been doing
it for years with my clients, plumber with a leaky tap anyone?
When I actually created my own signature system, suddenly my mindset shifted because I went
from feeling like I had to sell myself to oh, I'm selling a proven system, I can do
that.
Like that's easy, right?
My mindset completely shifted around how I was selling and how I felt about selling,
and that made a massive, massive difference for me.
I think part of that came down to when I was talking to people about what it is that I
do was that I could demonstrate tangible value to them, and that made it really, really simply
for them to say hell yes, I'm in.
Right?
When I could actually start to demonstrate tangible value, my conversion rates just went
nuts, right?
Consistently I'm finding over time that my conversion rates are improving as I'm getting
better and better at presenting my signature system as well.
I've got client who straight off the bat ... Like, I had Anna Osherov did her Authority Accelerator
in June this year with me and so she came out, presented her signature system for the
first time in a five minute presentation, and converted 50% of the room into her half
day workshop.
Now 50% conversion rate on the first go is pretty phenomenal if you ask me, and it's
clearly only going to get better as she gets better at presenting that pitch, right?
That's the kind of ... If 50% is your starting point when you've got a signature system,
like life's going to be pretty good, right?
Really super charging your sales with a signature system is just a no brainer.
I highly recommend that if you're in a service based business and you want to take what is
in your head and make it tangible so that you can sell it better, it is brilliant.
If you've got any questions or any comments, please pop them down below.
Let's have a conversation about it.
I love talking about this stuff.
I'm Renee Hasseldine, thanks for watching.

Why visit Bangkok? 13 reasons why! 👍 - Duration: 12:07.Welcome to the fifty-second video of Bangkok Unmasked!
The YouTube channel that helps you get the most out of your visit to Bangkok city!
If you're new here, please consider subscribing!
In this video I'm going to try and answer the question; Why visit Bangkok?
Let's get started.
There are 195 countries in the world.
This means that there's 195 capital cities to visit.
So why travel to Bangkok?
What follows are 13 reasons, in no particular order.
Why visit Bangkok reason #1: The food
Whether you're staying in Bangkok for a day, a week, a month or longer, Thai food is so
delicious and diverse that you'll never have to eat the same dish twice.
That's not all.
The International cuisine in Bangkok really is world class.
No matter what food you're pining for, you'll be able to find it.
If you go to any of the top-tier restaurants, the quality will be superb.
Greek, Indian, Japanese, Spanish, French, Chinese, Italian and more.
It's all available.
Note.
The first Michelin guide to the Thai capital was published in December 2017.
Bangkok earned the title of 'the most affordable Red Guide city in the world'.
A lunch at one-star Savelberg will cost around 1,600 baht and two-star Le Normandie serves
a business lunch for around the same price - astonishing value for an impeccable meal!
Why visit Bangkok reason #2: The people
From my own experiences, there are friendly locals in most countries.
That said, there's something about Thai people that makes traveling through the country easier
than most.
The Thai are generally friendly.
Sometimes exceptionally so.
Bangkok, like the rest of Thailand, to me at least has an overall friendly and chilled
vibe to it.
Why visit Bangkok reason #3: The cheap cost of living
Traveling to many capital cities on a budget can really suck.
You start running over budget and have to remove things that you really want to do and
see from your itinerary.
While Bangkok isn't as cheap as it used to be, you can still do and see most things on
a tight budget!
Most of the major attractions aren't overly expensive, and if you want to stay in a cheap
hotel, or hostel, this is absolutely possible.
Remember the average salary in Bangkok these days is around 20,000 baht or $600.
If you want to live like a Thai, you can do so.
That said, if you want to blow serious money you can do this too.
It's really up to you.
A case in point; one of my wife's friends went for a meal with her fiancé at Sirocco
and they blew 45,000 baht on a meal for two.
That's pretty much $1,400!
New York or London prices.
From the Facebook pictures it did look like a very good meal!
Why visit Bangkok reason #4: The weather
Thailand has three seasons.
In my opinion, they're all fine for vacationers.
Bangkok's high-season for tourists is generally during the cool season.
That said, Bangkok is also a popular Thailand destination during rainy season, as many other
parts of Thailand are prone to flooding during this period.
It's not a good idea to go to most of the Thai islands for example during rainy season.
One thing to consider; you won't be cold in Bangkok.
Unless you really turn up the air-con of course!
To check out a video I did that goes through Bangkok weather, and the best time to visit
Bangkok, please click on the i-icon above.
Why visit Bangkok reason #5: The nightlife
If you like to party, Bangkok is your kind of city!
Backpackers should head to Khao San Road to meet with other like-minded travelers, try
the laughing gas, and get silly-drunk on the infamous booze-buckets.
If ladies of negotiable affection are what you're looking for, you're spoilt for choice.
There's Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, and Patpong.
And this is just scratching the surface.
There's also soapy massage, S&M clubs, blowjob bars and more.
For more refined tourists, there's a vast number of live music bars, jazz bars, and
some world-class EDM clubs.
Finally, if art, theater, and ballet is your thing, Bangkok has you covered.
There will almost certainly be something of interest running during your visit.
Time Out Bangkok lists all the major events and should be your first port-of-call.
Note.
While it's not something I'm overly familiar with, if you're looking for LGBT-friendly
nightlife, you're also spoilt for choice.
Why visit Bangkok reason #6: The temples
Some of Thailand's best temples are in Bangkok.
I have been told that there are around 400 wats (or temples) spread throughout Bangkok.
While most tourists will only visit Wat Pra Kaew (The Temple of Emerald Buddha), Wat Arun
(The Temple of Dawn) and Wat Pho (The Temple of the Reclining Buddha), I suggest that you also
consider the following temples.
They're all beautiful and well worth a visit.
- Wat Saket.
- Wat Traimit.
(This temple contains the World's largest solid gold buddha weighing in at five and
a half tons).
- Loha Prasat.
(Also called the 'Metal Castle').
- Wat Mahathat.
- Wat Suthat.
- The Marble Temple.
(Wat Benja).
- Wat Prayoon.
Note.
Remember to not only to bring your camera but also to wear long light pants, a tee shirt
that covers your shoulders and proper shoes as some temples will not allow flip-flops.
Why visit Bangkok reason #7: The adventure
Many visitors to Bangkok think that you need to visit other places in Thailand for adventure.
Not so!
What follows are a handful of ideas for exciting outdoor activities in Bangkok.
- Muay Thai gyms.
- Bike tours.
- Flight of the Gibbon zipline adventure.
- Diving with sharks at Sea Life Ocean World.
- Wakeboarding at Taco Lake.
- Rock Climbing at Urban Playground.
- Go Karting at EasyKart.
- Surfing at Flow House.
- Skydiving.
- Bobble Football.
- Extreme Cycling at Peppermint Bike Park.
- Formula Renault Driving at Taki Racing.
- Airsoft and Paintball at Combat Zone 62.
And honestly, this list is just scratching the surface!
Why visit Bangkok reason #8: The markets
Bangkok has got a huge variety of markets.
The most famous is Chatuchak Market, or JJ Market.
While it's open all week, you should visit at the weekend as this is when all the stalls
will be open.
Chatuchak Market is massive!
There're over 15,000 stalls offering an eclectic variety of goods, from antiques through to
pets.
If you have time, I suggest that you also visit some of the following markets.
- Pratunam Market.
(This is mostly clothing, shoes, accessories).
- Or Tor Kor Market.
(The biggest food market, or wet market, in Thailand).
- Pak Khlong Flower Market.
(First and foremost flowers, but also fruits and vegetables).
- Amulet Market.
(Bustling handicrafts bazaar selling Buddhist amulets, totems, coins & good-luck charms).
- Silom Night Market.
(Also known as Patpong Market, this is where you can get all kinds of tourist tat and fake
designer goods).
Why visit Bangkok reason #9: The festivals
The Thai love festivals.
Seriously.
Any excuse to celebrate and have some fun.
With this said, some tourists even go as far as to plan entire holidays around these festivals
to join in the party and see what all the fuss is about.
A great example of this is Songkran (April 13 - April 17).
This is a festival where Bangkok hosts the world's largest water fight!
Other festivals of note are:
- Loy Krathong.
- Chinese New Year.
- International Festival of Music & Dance.
- Wai Khru Tattoo Festival.
Why visit Bangkok reason #10: The Chao Phraya River
Bangkok's Chao Phraya River has been the city's lifeline since the very beginning, and it's
one of the best places to escape the chaotic city streets.
Riverside hotels, restaurants, dinner cruises and water taxis make this muddy working river
an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing day or night.
Be sure to bring your camera, because the historic Thai river boats and riverside dwellings
are picturesque at all times of day!
Why visit Bangkok reason #11: The cheap healthcare
It may not be the primary reason why you're asking yourself the question why go to Bangkok,
but the affordable and top-notch medical facilities might convince you to visit the doctor or
dentist while you're there!
Bangkok is known for its promotion of medical tourism, and when you see the state-of-the-art
practices offered for a fraction of western prices, you'll understand why medical tourists
flock to the city from around the world.
Why visit Bangkok reason #12: The rooftop bars
Sky bars and rooftop lounges are all over Bangkok.
They're some of the best places to admire one of the most impressive skylines in the
world.
Why see the city at eye level, when you can watch its many wonders from above?
Note.
I suggest you consider one of the following rooftop bars.
They're all awesome!
- CRU Champagne Bar.
- Sky on 20.
- Flûte A Perrier-Jouët Bar.
- Vertigo and Moon Bar.
- Sirocco & Sky Bar.
- The Speakeasy.
- and finally Sala Rattanakosin.
Why visit Bangkok reason #13: The massage
Getting at least one traditional Thai massage is an absolute must when you visit Bangkok.
Endure an hour or two of stretching, pulling and pushing on your muscles, and you'll sleep
better than you ever have before.
Even better, you'll wake up the next day feeling rejuvenated and ready for another day in the
city.
To check out a video on where to get the best traditional Thai massage in Bangkok click

Final thoughts on 'why Bangkok'?
Bangkok is home to over eight million people.
As you'll find, the city has a lot of expats from all over the world.
It seems that once someone stays in the city for long enough, that they never want to leave.
Remember the line from The Hangover Part 2?
"Bangkok has him now, and she'll never let him go..."
It really can be like this!
I get why some people get overwhelmed by Bangkok.
It's swelteringly hot, loud, chaotic and quite different from most Western countries.
Once you get off the beaten path though you'll find that Bangkok is a city full of surprises.
No matter what you want to do, see or buy it's available.
Temples, red light districts, sky bars, museums, art galleries, parks...You name it, the city
has it.
Anyway, that's it for this video.

Daya - Safe (Shallou Remix) - Duration: 3:27.I remember the rush
We were running, backyard to yard
Wasn't scared of going too far
Staying out till it was too dark
Now daylight don't make it right
And you would really know this
Closed hearts make closed minds
I won't tell you it's all butterflies and roses
When I back in time
When we were ah-aha-aha-aha-aha safe
ah-aha-aha-aha-aha safe
There's not much comfort in this place
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
When you can't fight the bitter taste
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
Don't remember it all
But I know that I was invincible
Like the heroes in the cartoons
Saving lives through my living room
Now daylight don't make it right
And you would really know this
Closed hearts make closed minds
I won't tell you it's all butterflies and roses
When I back in time
When we were ah-aha-aha-aha-aha safe
ah-aha-aha-aha-aha safe
There's not much comfort in this place
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
When you can't fight the bitter taste
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
I know that I'm a fighter
Yeah, I've always been a fighter
But I tried to play with fire, and I got burned
Don't know how to help this
Yeah, I'm feeling kind of helpless
Yeah, maybe it's too selfish if it don't wanna hurt
There's not much comfort in this place
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
There's not much comfort in this place
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe
When you can't fight the bitter taste
Ah-aha-aha-aha-aha I'll keep you safe

Marshmello ft. Bastille - Happier - Duration: 3:05.I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
When the morning comes
When we see what we've become
In the cold light of dayÊwe're a flame in the wind
Not the fire that we've begun
Every argument, every word we can't take back
'Cause with the all that has happened
I think that we both know the way that the story ends
Then only for a minute
I want to change my mind Cause
this just don't feel right to me
I want to raise your spirits
I want to see you smile but
Know that means I'll have to leave
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
When the evening falls
And I'm left there with my thoughts
And the image of you being with someone else
Well, that's eating me up inside
But we run our course, we pretended that we're okay
Now if we jump together
at least we can swim Far away from the wreck we made
Then only for a minute
I want to change my mind Cause
this just don't feel right to me
I want to raise your spirits
I want to see you smile but
Know that means I'll have to leave
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
So I'll go, I'll go
I will go, go, go
So I'll go, I'll go
I will go, go, go
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
Even though I might not like this
I think that you'll be happier, I want you to be happier
Then only for a minute
I want to change my mind Cause
this just don't feel right to me
I want to raise your spirits
I want to see you smile but
Know that means I'll have to leave
Know that means I'll have to leave
Lately, I've been, I've been thinking
I want you to be happier, I want you to be happier
So I'll go, I'll go
I will go, go, go
