Youtube daily report Sep 7 2018

I have here a security system from LOREX.

They sell several different packages.

This one is model LNB8111B.

This is exactly as you will get it, as it will be delivered to you.

In this box is the recorder and in this box are the cameras.

The instructions and mounting screws.

Here is an incredibly long CAT5E cable.

And here is a quick look at the camera.

You can power these through the CAT5 or the power plug.

Nice.

These come in white or black.

Obviously for the higher end cameras like the 4K's you will want a larger hard drive.

Power Cord.

HDMI CAT5 Mouse and here is a remote.

That is handy.

Especially if you are in a shop, you don't want to go to a computer, you want to be able

to stand at a register and click through.

Here is a look at the front and the back.

All the cameras will plug in here.

You have HDMI, USB and monitor ports.

This is a 4K system.

These cameras record in 4K. these instructions look pretty good.

I don't think they will leave out any details.

They look well done.

The first camera we will put up is right in this corner here.

Right about there.

And the reason why is the sun is going to set on that side and I want the camera pointed

away from the sun when it sets.

This just needs one cable (cat5e) and that will give the camera power and it will also

send the video feed to the recorder.

Almost forgot to take off the plastic.

With just one camera installed, let's hook up the recorder and see how it works.

Remote, recorder, mouse, and monitor.

The monitor you will have to find yourself.

You can use a computer monitor or pick up an extra but these are so cheap now.

Plug this into slot #1 and there is the on/off switch.

In the instructions, it says it is going to take a sec. to get ready.

Is there a menu?

Oh...

I didn't push anything.

What is this?

A beep.

Don't know what that meant.

Look at that.

There is the porch.

It's working.

I think this will work out really well.

I will go and hook up all the cameras now and do a lot more work.

We will jump back once I played around with this but I'm excited, this is a nice clean

really good picture.

I have been using it for a while now and there are things that I really like and something

I think they could improve on.

The cameras I chose are POE or power over ethernet.

Which means there is enough power running through the ethernet cable that you can power

the camera.

So you just have one cable that goes right to the camera.

Also if you don't want to run cables you can use a wireless.

If you a garage or shed at the back of your property and you want a camera back there,

you can do it that way.

Once you plug in a camera and you turn the system on, it starts recording immediately.

You don't have to hook up any other things and you don't have to run any software.

It works the first time you turn it on.

I have 5 cameras hooked up right now.

One is under the overhang of the porch.

It gives me a view of who is at the door and I can see into the front yard.

One camera over the garage looking down into the alleyway and it does take a beating from

the sun and rain and snow.

But it has not had one issue, it's been no problem with things on the lens or the sun

hitting the lens because it has a ledge over the lens.

One camera looks down over the kitchen and living room.

I installed one in the garage, I like it there because I can see if the door is closed at

night or when we are gone.

I can see if the lights are left on & things like that.

One camera is pointed at a 3D Printer I just bought.

Some of those prints go for hours and so I can check and make sure it is printing correctly

because if it is not it will make a big mess.

I really love that you can check your house and what is going on from anywhere in the

world.

You can set it up so that is there is some motion detected on a camera, you get a text

or email notification.

Saying "this camera detected movement."

Maybe you want to know if someone is right on the porch.

Right at your front door.

What they do for that is you can block out the parts that you don't want any motion detection

for.

You cover all that up and you have only the spot on the camera where you want motion detection.

Like on your doormat.

So when there is movement on the camera, It's not going to record it and it's not going

to send you a notice, unless the person is in that direct area.

So you can take a look at these cameras anywhere in the world as long as they are hooked up

through your internet connection.

The system will keep recording until the hard drive is full.

Once it is full it starts recording over the older footage.

I like that Lorex has been around for a while because once you get it set up you are going

to want a company that has been around and will keep innovating and updating the software

and keep making things better.

I'm sure there are a lot of good new brands and new systems coming out but giving advice

to any of my friends or family, I would tell them to pick a major brand and that way, chances

are you will be a lot happier with it and they won't stop updating the software.

To me, there are two parts, the hardware side, and the software side.

The software side is really developed and really good but it is a bit confusing I think

to the new user.

there are so many settings and things that you can get into that you are probably not

going to understand right away.

There are terms like CBR and VBR, so you go in and see all these settings for the camera

to record at different levels.

I wish if they would just put definitions next to all that and clean up the software

interface a bit, make it a little simpler, this would be a stronger unit.

Once it is set up, you are not going back to all the cameras and changing all the bitrates.

You don't really go back to the settings so much.

You only do that when you are setting it up.

The Flir Cloud APP does work well.

I can see all the cameras there.

You can control cameras from your phone, you can record, you can access the mic.

It's just really nice.

It's a good system.

I recommend it.

If you go to there website you will see a lot of different systems some for a few hundred

dollars and up to several thousand.

The price depends on how many cameras are included, what kind of cameras, high or low

definition.

Also, you can get color night vision if you want, you can have the PAN/TILT/ZOOM so you

can actually move the camera around in one of those little bubble domes.

That's pretty cool.

The actual recording system will have a hard drive in it and depending on if it is for

a commercial building you are looking for you will probably want to get a high capacity

hard drive.

The hard drive can be an external add-on or linked to a computer.

I was done with this video and was finishing up the editing and a friend asked me "how

much does this camera system cost a month?"

That is something I never thought to talk about.

There is NO MONTHLY CHARGE.

Everything you saw me talk about, there are no extra fees for that.

You just get all of that when you buy a system.

There are extra things you can pay for if you want like Cloud Storage or what's called

a Rapid Recap.

They give you two of these for free a month.

You can consolidate footage into a short little video where you can see tons of events.

Here is one now.

You can see the UPS guy, a billion kids (only half are mine) You can see 8 hours of footage

all in just a couple minutes.

Those are fun to watch.

If you wanted more than the two Rapid Recaps a month you can pay for that.

And that would be an extra charge, but everything you have seen me do and use has been at a

zero dollar per month fee.

There are no extra charges.

Once you buy the system that is it.

I thank LOREX for sending me this system to review, it has been working great.

If you have any questions for me about it go ahead and leave them in the comments section

and I will do my best to answer.

If I am going to sum this up in a few sentences, I would say #1 it's reliable.

I have had it for several months now, it's worked 100% of the time.

When connecting through the phone, it connects 100% of the time.

When the power goes down, and it has happened a few times, it comes right back on and I

don't have to log-in or restart anything.

No software problems... nothing.

It has always worked.

#2 I like all the options you see on their site, all the different cameras, and different

systems.

You can definitely find something for you if its for commercial or even a small residence.

They will have something that will work.

#3 I do like all the software and options, I know I complained about it, but it is nice

to be able to get in there and tweak all the little settings and have it work just perfect.

But I do wish it was a little more intuitive and a little simpler.

I wish they would clean it up a little.

That's my opinion.

If you have anything to add, leave it in the comments.

I will see you next video and till then, have an awesome day.

Love Elevated Part 6: Micah Makes Her Match! - Duration: 4:13.

- It's time for our bachelorette, Micah,

to make a final decision.

You can ask anyone you want

and then I'll help you out from time to time, so let's go.

- Okay, aside from physical characteristics,

what do you like about me?

- The first thing I noticed about you

were your ideation skills.

We were talking about business,

somebody's job, somebody else's job,

and you had ideas for everybody instantaneously.

You're smart, you're brilliant.

- Thank you. (audience applauds)

- Just for clarity, because I went to public school,

(Micah laughs) what is ideation?

(audience giggles)

- The ability to generate ideas.

(audience cheering)

- Same question?

- Mm hmm, same question.

- You know your personality,

we immediately matched, you know,

with that whole situation.

On the plane, throughout Vegas.

I really liked how goal oriented you were,

and I feel like there's so many other things

that we can connect on, you know,

outside of just the physical characteristics.

- Okay, good. (audience applauds)

Let me ask you this question,

how do you show love to another person?

- I'm big into touch,

and I don't mean that in any crazy way, it's just.

You know I like to give and receive,

you know, non-intimate touch.

- Okay so, this question's for you,

how do you react when you're told no?

- I don't have a problem with being told no.

It really depends on what area of no

we're talking about here.

- How 'bout like, no, not tonight?

(Micah laughs) - That's fine.

Steve I need my sleep, so that's okay.

- Ain't no problem. (Steve laughs)

Yeah.

All right let me ask you something sir,

if you could do one thing over again, what would it be?

- I wouldn't go to law school.

I went to law school for no reason when I was 22

and it just was kind of a waste of three years.

It was that.

- So what do you do now?

- I own two gyms, yeah, I'm in fitness.

- Oh okay, there you go. - Thank you.

(audience applauds)

- And same question to you.

If you could do one thing over again, what would it be?

- You know I spent my early 20s serving in the military,

I wish I would've had more experiences

such as you know, air born school.

There's a lot of things that I wanted to do then,

that I'm not physically able to now.

- Well like, whatchu talking 'bout?

- It definitely plays a toll on your body,

you know, everything that we're doing,

all the training we're doing,

and in my 20s it made more sense to.

- I just wanted to clear that up just in case, you know,

he had a situation going on, where, you know.

(audience applauds)

One more. - Okay, one more.

Let's see, describe your relationship with your family.

- My mother is probably one of my best friends.

I respect her so much.

She's amazing.

(audience applauds) - Okay.

- I don't even know.

- Now, Micah we're at that moment to make a decision.

You feel okay about everything?

I mean you got two really nice guys.

So I always tell women at the end of the day,

you gotta go with your gut.

That thing that god gave you called Women's Intuition,

it works, stop ignoring it, it works.

(audience applauds)

Are you ready, you got it?

You want me to help you?

- Yeah, help me. (Micah laughs)

- So like, if you got this, and you got this.

- Mm hmm.

- That's what you're gonna do.

If you were my daughter,

and I had to pick one of these guys for you,

I wouldn't have a problem picking either one.

But just listening to it,

I'd have to lean a certain way.

So the decision is yours though.

Who's it gonna be?

Keith or Gary?

- I am gonna stick with my gut,

and my original decision.

(suspenseful music)

Gary I'm gonna choose you.

(upbeat music)

- [Steve] All right, Gary come on over.

(audience cheering)

34 Things You Missed In The Nun (2018) - Duration: 8:10.

One of the more confusing aspects of The Nun is the fact that Valak is constantly manipulating

things, and it's hard for us as an audience to get a grip on what's real and what's

not.

For the ultimate guide on what exists and what is just an apparition, stick around to

the end of this video.

I know what you're probably thinking, "Oh it's this guy who jumpscared us, let's

lock him up forever."

Look, this video's not about the jumpscares, it's about Things You Missed In The Nun.

Now, I do reserve the right to jumpscare at any time during my videos, but I don't usually

pull it out for Things You Missed; all I can say is to stay on your toes, and let's get

into it.

Like I pointed out when I made this video, in The Conjuring 2, the name of the Nun demon

Valak is hidden within many of the scenes like so…

And that trend continues here in The Nun.

For example, when we first meet Sister Irene at the religious school she teaches at, when

they show the playground, there is a see-saw that some kids are playing on.

The bars that makeup the supports of the see-saw spell out the word Valak.

Then, in Biertan, the Romanian town near The Abbey, Frenchie has Sister Irene and Father

Burke load their stuff onto a truck.

The license plate of the truck reads VA 01 LAK.

If you remove the numbers, it spells out Valak.

There's also a crossword puzzle that Father Burke is seen solving a couple different times

in the film.

Take a look at some of the boxes he's written in and you'll see the words Deliveries and

Create.

I bet you thought I was going to say that it said Valak, but the fact of the matter

is that the shots weren't on screen long enough for me to see everything, so if you

saw anything pertaining to Valak or anything of significance at all, leave a comment telling

me what you saw, and I'll pin your comment, and you'll be famous and it will be a great

day for you.

So… remember when I did that one video where I explained the deeper meaning behind the

song that comes on the radio in the commercial for The Nun?

Well… it may have been all for nothing, because the song that comes on in the actual

movie is different.

"Just remember darling all the while.

You belong to me."

The song is You Belong To Me, performed by Jo Stafford.

Like the song that was used in the commercial, it's a cover of an existing song from that

era.

In this case, the song is used as a direct message from Valak to Father Burke, a warning

that if he stays in The Abbey, he's in for trouble.

Valak is literally telling him, "you belong to me now" and it's a foreshadow of the

scene where the Father is locked in a coffin where Valak tortures him.

It sure was nice of Valak to leave that shovel there for Sister Irene when she eventually

does find the father.

While she's looking for him though, Valak lures her into the chapel, where a couple

of interesting things happen.

First off, the Nuns are chanting, so she should immediately know that something is up, because

we were just told they are taking a vow of silence.

Then Sister Irene sees a red glowing light coming up from below the altar, a symbol of

the fires of hell manifesting in the Abbey.

At this point, she follows the shadow of The Nun along wall, landing on the mirror behind

her, where it is revealed that Valak is standing above her, however, the figure can only be

seen in the reflection.

Later on, when Frenchie is at the Black Bear pub back in town, he notices a woman covering

up a mirror.

When he asks about it, the bartender tells him that a young girl had recently died, and

that it was a tradition in town to cover up mirrors so that the deceased do not see their

own reflection.

Remember the photo that Sister Charlotte shows from her time in Romania in Annabelle Creation?

I had previously speculated that we would meet some of the characters from the photo

in The Nun, however, Sister Maria, Sister Anna and Sister Lucia do not appear.

This is because Sister Charlotte visited the Abbey before the events of The Nun took place.

You can actually spot this same photo on the wall when they come into the Abbey.

Poor Sister Charlotte has no idea that her friends are all dead.

Another item I speculated on was the relationship between Sister Irene from The Nun, and Lorraine

Warren from The Conjuring films.

I thought they might be sisters because they both have visions of Valak and the actresses

who play them are sisters in real life.

In The Nun, no relationship is confirmed, however, I do find it interesting that The

Vatican selected Sister Irene to accompany the Father, despite the fact that she is unfamiliar

with the area.

The Father mentions that The Vatican always has a reason for their selection, so I think

it's still possible that the two are related in some way, and that has something to do

with why she was sent.

While we don't get much background on Sister Irene, we do get a little bit more background

on Valak.

Father Burke researches to find that The Abbey was built by a Duke who wrote books and opened

a gateway to hell.

This information may be a nod to the fact that Valak is based off a character from a

book called The Lesser Key of Solomon, which I have gone into more detail on in this video.

The Gateway was sealed with the blood of Christ, but reopened later due to a war of some kind.

Valak appears as a Nun in order to blend in with the real Nuns that that reside at the

Abbey, so my theory about Valak possibly changing forms has gained a little more weight.

The other thing I pointed out in my previous video about the pages of the book was this

illustration, which appears to be a snake coming out of someone's face.

The idea of a snake being another form of Valak is confirmed in The Nun.

Father Burke reads a description of Valak in the book that he finds inside his coffin,

which reads, "Valak, the defiler, the profane, the marquis of snakes."

There are plenty of other instances of Snakes connected to Valak in The Nun.

The throne thing occupied by The Mother Reverand, who might I remind you ends up being Valak,

has an image embossed on it of two snakes eating each other.

When Father Burke chases the apparition of Daniel into the graveyard during their night

at the abbey, snakes end up coming out of Daniel's mouth to attack him.

Closer to the end of the movie, The Father battles a figure with a serpent-like forked

tongue.

And in the final battle against Valak, a snake wraps itself around The Father's neck and

bites him in the eye, which ties right back into the book that the Father found after

being trapped in the coffin, which features a single eye on the cover.

There are two facets to the ending that I want to talk about: one involving the manipulation

caused by Valak, and the other involving, the true identity of Frenchie revealed in

the very last scene.

First let's talk about Valak.

Before heading down into the depths of The Abbey, the characters figure out that there

are no other nuns left, Valak has completely taken over the place.

It's a little unclear if the people they met in the beginning, such as The Mother Reverend

and Sister Oana were alive at some point, or if they were apparitions of Valak as well.

Here's my answer.

The only real living human Nuns at the Abbey are killed off in the prologue.

Everyone we see after that is a distortion caused by Valak.

Valak poses as The Mother Reverend and tells Father Burke to stay the night because The

Nuns are currently taking a vow of silence and cannot speak with them.

This is a trap to get them locked inside the Abbey.

I mean, the vow of silence thing is kind of true because they're all dead.

When Frenchie discovers the body of Sister Victoria, he mentions that he tried to contact

the Abbey but was unable to reach them.

This is because Sister Victoria was the last Nun.

We see the body of another one of The Nuns fall out of a tree and land on him as he leaves

the Abbey, just one of many examples of The Nun corpses throughout the area.

There's also one confusing instance where Irene talks to Sister Oana, but then discovers

her corpse moments later.

Then, Oana seems to be back alive in a following scene.

The one she was really talking to is just one of Valak's tricks, but the body discovered

under the sheets is the real Sister Oana, who had died several weeks before.

There are many decapitation references that could link to the death of each of these Nuns.

I already mentioned the one that fell from the tree, there is also a statue in the main

hall area that the Father is studying in whose head crumbles off.

When Frenchie saves Father Burke's life, he decapitates the zombie nun with an axe.

You'll also notice that many of the Nuns that haunt the Father and Sister Irene are

faceless, as is the Jesus figure in the chapel.

Also in the end credits, there is some entity with a burning head.

The big reveal of this movie is actually foreshadowed when we first meet Frenchy, as he is seen

at home feeding his goats.

Goats are an animal that are often used as a symbol of demons and the devil, and the

French-Canadian farmer ends up being possessed by Valak at the end of the movie.

In the epilogue, we discover his real name is Maurice and he is the man receiving the

exorcism in the clip Ed and Lorraine show to their class way back in the original Conjuring.

"Take Maurice here.

He's a French-Canadian farmer, had nothing more than a third grade education, but after

he was possessed, spoke some of the best Latin I'd ever heard.

Sometimes backwards.

A dark spirit made it's home in this man."

"And like that, an upside-down cross started to appear from within his body."

The big connection to Lorraine's most feared memory was five years in the making.

Did you see this twist coming?

Let me know if the comments.

Remember to like this video, and be back next week as I'll be discussing where the Conjuring

franchise will go from here.

You definitely don't want to miss out on that, so be sure to subscribe to CZsWorld

for new horrors every week, ring that deathbell for notifications and I'll see you in the

next one.

Assuming we both survive.

Nelson Perez: Bachelor of General Studies `18, University of Missouri - Duration: 1:36.

My name is Nelson Perez. I live in Saint Louis, Missouri, and I am walking today

with my bachelors in general studies. When I went back to school, I was working

for an organization called Guardian Angel Settlement Association in

Saint Louis, where I did case management working with low-income families and individuals.

And I wanted to go back to school to get my degree so I could

pursue my MSW or Masters in Social Work. I worked with my student adviser,

Chris Marshall, and I explained what I want it was to do all the prerequisites for

getting into the Masters in Social Work program. She helped me figure out what

classes I need to take. Right now, I could go into the Masters Social Work program.

I can say taking the classes I took definitely made me a much better caseworker.

I was able to take the things I was learning and apply them directly to what I worked at.

It's kind of a surreal experience because, up until today,

I was like, " Alright, well, let me go do this just because I'm supposed to."

And, then this morning when I woke up, I was actually very excited, like realizing the

weight of this experience and how this is like a new era in my life afterwards.

You can't ever succeed if you don't try. And, even if it takes you the two years

from your associates, four years from starting, or, like me, a 20 year plan,

you know, eventually you'll get it done and it really is a big deal to finish.
