CrossFit Games Open Workout 17.3
is chest-to-bar pull-ups
and squat snatches.
This workout begins with an 8-minute cap
but has a twist.
If you complete the designated amount of work
within the first 8 minutes,
you are rewarded with more work
and a time cap extension of 4 additional minutes.
This can happen a total of four times,
bringing the potential time cap to 24 minutes.
if the athlete continues to accomplish the designated work.
At the call of "3,
2,
1 ... go!"
the athlete has 8 minutes
to perform 3 rounds
of 6 chest-to-bar pull-ups
and 6 squat snatches
at 95 lb. for men
and 65 lb. for women.
Then,
3 more rounds of 7 chest-to-bar pull-ups
and 5 squat snatches
at 135 lb. for men
and 95 lb. for women.
If all 6 rounds are not completed
before the 8-minute cap,
the athlete is done
and will record the total reps they completed.
If all 6 rounds are completed
prior to the 8-minute mark,
the time cap will be extended by 4 minutes,
and the reps and load will change
the next 3 rounds.
If the athlete continues to complete all the required work
within the extending time caps,
their workout will continue for up to 24 minutes.
This workout is over when the athlete completes all the required work
prior to 24 minutes,
or,
fails to complete all the repetitions
within the cutoff time for a section.
The athlete's score
is their time if they complete the workout, or,
the number of repetitions completed
up to their cutoff time.
The athlete's time should be recorded
at the end of every third round,
as this will be used as a tiebreaker.
During the chest-to-bar pull-ups,
any grip or style of pull-up is permitted
as long as the repetition starts
with the arms fully extended
and finishes with the athlete clearly making contact
with the bar below the collarbone.
For the squat snatch,
the barbell begins on the ground,
and must be lifted overhead
and received in the bottom of an overhead squat
in one smooth motion.
The feet are the only part of the body
that may contact the ground during the lift.
Touch-and-go is permitted.
No bouncing.
The athlete must receive the bar
with the hip crease below the knee.
A two-part power snatch to overhead squat
is not allowed.
At the top of the movement,
the barbell must come to full lockout overhead,
with the hips, knees and arms
fully extended,
and the bar directly over the middle of the body.

Nicole Carroll's Tips for Open Workout 17.3 - Duration: 3:02.
Hi, everyone. Nicole Carroll,
back again with your tips for the Open.
This week is 17.3.
17.3 is a couplet
of chest-to-bar pull-ups and snatches.
Every 3 rounds,
the chest-to-bar pull-ups increase,
but the snatch reps decrease.
However, the load increases significantly.
The standout factor in this workout
is that we are taking gigantic jumps
in weight every 3 rounds,
anywhere from 30 to 40, even 50 lb.
This is something we're going to have to manage
really really smartly
throughout this workout.
I'm sure everybody has already looked at this
and identified a load that they're a little nervous about.
It's a little hit or miss,
but they're going to go for it anyway.
For me that's 135.
My snatch PR is 140,
so 135 is definitely going to be a challenge.
What I want to do, then,
is move through those earlier, more manageable rounds
quickly to bank myself a little more time
for that load that I know I might struggle with.
Getting ready to do this one,
the first thing I'm thinking about is my warm-up.
I'm gonna get a good general warm-up,
and then I'm gonna work my way up
to that snatch weight
that I think I can be successful at
in this workout.
I want to get at least one rep at that weight
in my warm-up.
Just finished this one up.
I got one rep at 135.
I was hoping to get more,
but I got one, and I missed a lot.
Just like I was thinking before this workout started,
the most challenging thing was coming off the load that was manageable
and moving into the load that was heavy,
because it felt really heavy.
Don't be afraid to take 30-60 seconds
when you come off those pull-ups
to recover and focus
so you set yourself up for success
on that first heavy lift.
I spent nearly six minutes of this workout
missing snatches.
If it were to happen to me again,
that I'm missing rep after rep,
I would actually take the time,
back the load down to the heaviest load I can hit successfully,
take another jump or two back up to that weight that's giving me problems,
and even though the reps won't count
and it's a little extra work,
I think in the end it would end up being more successful
giving me a few more reps at that load that does count.
For the chest-to-bar pull-ups,
just do whatever style kip you're most comfortable with.
If it's butterfly, great.
A regular gymnastics kip works fine also.
Even if you struggle with them and need to do these in fast singles,
that's OK.
This is not a pull-up workout.
It's a snatch workout.
17.3 is a workout that's designed
for all of us to hit a load that we're intimidated by,
that we struggle with,
or that we're gonna miss a bunch of reps at.
Don't get discouraged by this.
The Open makes us better because it motivates us
to try where we otherwise might not have.
All you need to do to be successful here
is meet this challenge with 100-percent effort
and you can't go wrong.
And, of course, remember to have fun, and good luck!

Nintendo Switch Unboxing & First Impressions - Duration: 8:29.
After long months of waiting, the Switch has finally been released.
And we're still beginning to unravel its many mysteries.
Now, it's time to check out what's in store for us.
Once you open the box, you will see the Switch screen and the Joy-con controllers.
The screen looks like an ordinary tablet.
At the bottom, there's a USB Type C port for charging as well as connecting it to the dock.
On the top is where you'll see most of its buttons and slots.
For example, there's a game card slot to put the cartridges in, power and volume rocker.
We'll get to them later.
Next up are the Joy-Con controllers.
They're in neon red and blue, but there's also a grey option available.
On their sides, you'll find the rather small SL and SR buttons.
There's also R and L buttons atop.
Although the Joy-Cons look similar, there are a few slight differences between them.
The left Joy con has the small circle button to capture screenshots.
The right Joy Con on the other hand, has the home button.
It also has the motion IR camera which allows for motion-based gameplay available in some
Nintendo titles.
Moving on to the bottom compartment are the Switch's accessories.
First up is the HDMI cable.
You can use this to connect the Switch to your television or monitor.
Next is the AC adapter, the basic necessity for your Switch...Complete with the nintendo
brand.
It's long enough to plug into the nearest socket, and it's a USB Type C that matches
some of the newest phones on the market.
Underneath it are the individually wrapped Joy-Con straps.
They come with an extension of the SL and SR buttons on the controllers, a metal underside
for frequent attachments, and the straps themselves.
Moving along, we have the Joy-Con Grip.
The lights in the middle will tell you your Joycon's battery levels.
The controllers will fit easily into it.
Its structure is very simple, and, without the JoyCons, its noticeably light.
Lastly we have the Switch's dock.
At its bottom left is the TV out indicator that will tell you if it's sending signal
to a TV or monitor.
Inside is the primary USB type-C connector.
And in the back panel, there are three ports: the AC adapter, a USB port, and the HDMI port.
There are also two additional USB ports at the sides.
That's it for the Switch box.
Let's take a closer look at its contents.
There are many ways of using the JoyCons, that much is certain.
Slide in the straps and you can play with them in two ways.
Hold them up vertically like the Wiimote, or horizontally like small controller.
(The SL and SR extensions help give the Joy-Con a better fit, making it slightly more comfortable
for multiplayer gameplay.
)
Despite its size, the tablet comes with all the basic features.
The top part has the power button.
Press it once to put the device on sleep mode, and hold for the option to turn it off.
Right beside it are the volume buttons.
There's also a fan to disperse heat from its CPU and GPU.
Next to it are the headphone jack and the game card slot.
The speakers are placed at the back of the device.
The stand is right beside it.
It's actually easy to take out, if done correctly.
For handheld gaming, you can place the JoyCons at the sides.
They slip in very easily, and makes the signature click once attached.
(Although the JoyCons are asymmetrical, handheld mode is still comfortable letting you thumb
through the buttons with ease.)
In docked mode, it's recommended to use the Grip.
Just like the tablet, the JoyCons slip into the grip easily, too.
To remove the controllers, simply press the small button at the back and pull.
As for the cartridges, they come in smaller but traditional boxes.
Opening them reveals the small, SD card sized cartridges.
Pop in into the game card for hours of fun...Now, pop it into your mouth and it'll be an opposite
experience.
When the Switch was first announced, we were hoping for a powerful console that will compete
with both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As details were unveiled, it became clear that Nintendo has something else in mind.
The new Nintendo Switch seems like a bridge between handheld and console gaming.
Let's start with the dock.
How do I put it… it's just a dock made of plastic.
There's nothing more to it really.
It has a total of 5 ports, three USB-Bs, 1 Type-C for the AC adapter and one for HDMI.
It feels sturdy and has a similar feel as the plastic on the PlayStation 4.
The screen of the Nintendo Switch is significantly better than that of the Wii U.
It's sharper, more vibrant and the viewing angles are better.
Specs posted online put its pixel density to around 237.
For reference, the PS Vita has around 220.
While this density doesn't come close to flagship smartphones, it's enough to display
sharp and bright images.
It may be bright enough to play in the shade outside.
We still have to test it in real, outdoor gaming sessions.
Meanwhile, our initial impression of the Joy-Con controller is a bit of a mixed bag.
The matte finish of the controllers makes handling easy… but they're a bit too small
to hold and the button travel is short.
It may take some time to get used to them if you're like me who is used to the Wii
U's gamepad and the PlayStation 4 controller.
The straps are the most annoying.
They're easy to slide in but really hard to remove.
And we're not the only ones complaining about it.
The Joy-Con morphs into something familiar when mounted on the Grip that come with the
package.
This relieves the comfort issue but only slightly.
That tight key-and-stick layout still feels weird.
Maybe we really need a couple more hours of playing with it.
The Switch takes it form when the Joy-Cons snap into the screen.
Honestly, it looks good and surprisingly more comfortable.
After about 10 minutes of playing Breath of Wild, the back of the tablet begins to feel
warm to the touch.
So far, we played it while docked and connected to a monitor so we can't comment on the
battery yet.
Again, we still have to spend more with it before we can give our full verdict.
Enough with the hardware, let's take a look at the software.
Nintendo has moved on from the glossy buttons of the Wii U and into the flat design of modern
interfaces.
When we first booted the device up, it was un-mistakable… the similarities between
the new UI to those of Android's material design and Windows 10.
It felt familiar, making navigating around the menu and settings easier.
Time to meaningful interaction -- how long it takes before you can start clicking on
the buttons and what-not -- is also wayyyy faster.
Thank god!
Remember Wii U's slow loading menu screens.
That was -- and still is -- a pain.
More things of note are the lack of a web browser and third party apps like YouTube
and Netflix.
The browser should come within a couple of months.
As for other apps, we'll have to wait for official announcements.
But let's be honest...what makes a gaming platform is what you play in it.
Games now come in game cards.
It's smaller than the 3DS cartridges but with a bigger capacity.
It's small enough that Nintendo coated it with a bitter-tasting agent to keep children
from swallowing it.
Our package of the Nintendo Switch came with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and
1-2 Switch.
As expected, our time was mostly with the Breath of the Wild.
We have 40-minute gameplay to show for it, check it now!
Many claim the Zelda game is enough reason to buy the Switch.
If you're a fan of the franchise or of open world adventures, the answer is a resounding
yes.
If not, you may want to wait for more releases… or play the Wii U version instead.
We're currently tracking all the games announced for the Switch and will continue to post updates
every couple of weeks so be sure to subscribe.
The Switch has the potential….
If enough quality games are released on it.
Nintendo has the IP to back this new console but it also needs the support of both independent
and triple-A developers.
It won't be surprising to see ports of Android or iOS games being released on the Switch
on top of titles coming from the PC, PlayStation
or Xbox.

The Hill's Whip List Where Republicans stand on ObamaCare repeal plan - Duration: 8:19.
The Hill's Whip List Where Republicans stand on ObamaCare repeal plan
BY THE HILL STAFF
466
Republican leaders are aiming to move quickly on legislation to repeal and replace ObamaCare,
but the plan faces a difficult path.
Conservatives were quick to criticize the plan, saying it falls short of full repeal
and would create new entitlements.
On Tuesday night, members of the House Freedom Caucus said the leadership's plan doesn't
have the votes to pass, and some conservatives pledged to reintroduce their own clean repeal
bill.
They also found support from a slew of conservative groups, including Club for Growth and Heritage
Action, which came out strongly against the legislation.
Centrist Republicans and many from districts won by Hillary Clinton in 2016 have also balked
at measures rolling back the Medicaid expansion or defunding Planned Parenthood.
A vote by the full House is possible within weeks.
Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Tuesday guaranteed the legislation would have 218 votes when
it hits the floor, with leaders banking that conservatives will accept it as their best
bet for undoing ObamaCare.
President Trump also threw his backing behind the plan.
But the margin for error is slim.
Assuming all Democrats vote against the legislation, GOP leaders cannot afford more than 21 defections
in the House and two in the Senate.
Here's a list of how Republican lawmakers stand on the ObamaCare repeal and replace
legislation.
The Hill will update this list.
Please send updates to mmali@thehill.com.

How To Fish Swimjigs in Spring | Bass Fishing - Duration: 6:02.
What's up, guys?
Travis here again with Lucky Tackle Box.
It's shorts and t-shirt weather, and that means those largemouth are starting to move
to the back of the coves to get ready to spawn, but before they do so, they stop at different
transition areas on the way to the back to really feed-up before they start their spawn.
One of their favorite things to relate to is wood, whether it's trees or brush piles.
So today, we're gonna use V&M's brand-new bait, the J-Bug, paired up with their swim
jig to locate this different wood out there and swim this bait right over and along these
tree limbs to try to entice some of these bigger largemouth that are looking to feed-up
before the spawn.
So, let's break down this technique starting with rigging.
What's great about the J-Bug is the appendages.
So, as you're dragging that thing through the water column, those appendages are giving
a real lifelike kicking action.
Then you pair it up with a swim jig, and you have very weedless, bigger-profile bait that
these fish are really keying into.
I spool up with 12 to 17 pound Seaguar mono or fluorocarbon line.
You're fishing around a lot of cover, so you wanna make sure you have enough line to really
bang that wood and stuff, to be able to pull those fish out without breaking off.
Then I pair that on medium-speed gear ratio like this Daiwa Tatula 6.3:1, and lastly,
I put that on Castaway's 6-foot-10 Medium Action rod.
I need enough backbone to really get those hooksets from far off, but I need that tip,
that sensitive tip, because I've gotta feel all the wood down there.
If you're not feeling it come through the branches or that brush, you're not gonna know
if you're in the right spot, and you're not gonna have success with this.
Okay.
Retrieval.
Making long casts, okay?
Now, let that bait sink on slack line.
What I'm doing when that's sinking is I'm doing a countdown.
Okay, guys.
The countdown method.
I wanna put my boat in 10 feet of water, and I wanna let my bait drop all the way down.
While this bait is falling, I wanna count 1,001, 1,002, 1,003, 1,004, and whenever it
hits the bottom, that's how long it takes to get to the bottom.
So, I know that every four one-thousandth of a second, that bait is sinking 10 feet.
This is important, because if I'm fishing 20, 25 feet and those trees are coming up
to about 16 feet, I know that I need to countdown about 5 to 6 seconds before I start reeling
so that bait is coming right through the tops of those trees.
I know that these tree limbs are sticking up in about six feet of water.
So, I give it about 1,001, 2,001, 3,001 count, then with my rod tip down, I wanna slowly
retrieve this bait.
What I'm doing is I'm trying to feel those tree limbs.
If I'm not feeling those branches or that brush down there, then I'm not in the right
spot, but right now I'm feeling a branch.
So I'm going through the right area.
Wherever that releases...
Oh, see I'm caught up.
There, it just came through.
That's where I should get bit.
Right when that bait comes over that tree limb, I wanna slow down that retrieval real
quick, because what it's done is it just sprang forward, the little legs kicked, and that's
a lot of times what triggers these fish, and that's exactly where these fish are right
now.
So once I've gotten this bait back to the boat, I just move over about another 20 to
30 feet and repeat the process.
If you're not feeling tree limbs down there, you've gotta keep moving.
It's very important that you're feeling the bait come through those branches.
It came right at the boat.
Come on, baby.
Come on.
There he is.
Location.
We know that these fish are moving to the back of these creek channels to spawn, right?
Well, as they move back there, they're gonna move up to staging areas which are areas where
they can really feed-up on their way into the back of these creeks.
So trees and brush piles, any kind of wood, is absolutely ideal for largemouth this time
of the year, because they will suspend in these branches.
And yes, I said suspend.
You guys, most of the time when you're flipping jigs and stuff up, shallow on trees and stuff,
you know, fish are usually related around the base of those trees.
When they're out here staging up, these fish are gonna be relating up in the branches and
stuff.
That's why the swim jig is perfect to swim through these branches and stuff, because
this mimics what these fish are looking for, is bait swimming in through these branches
and stuff, and they can really feed-up.
Okay.
All right, guys.
So, we're about halfway in the back of this creek channel here, and so this is the secondary
point, and there's wood.
As we came by the first time, we saw a bunch of wood hanging off the side of this.
So, what I'm doing is I have the boat positioned so that I can go through all of the tree limbs
down there.
I got that rod tip down, and I'm just slowly working this bait.
I wanna hit the tops of those limbs, and anytime I feel that bait hit any limbs...
It's loaded up right now.
Once it breaks...
There we go.
Oh.
I'm in a tree limb.
Oh, there we go.
Nice.
Oh, man.
What happened is that fish hit it, but when I set, I also had the weight of the tree as
well in there, man.
But, holy cow, guys.
It's a blast coming out and fishing these trees.
Basically, you know what these largemouth are doing.
They're heading to the back of the coves to spawn, but before they do so, they've gotta
make the stops in the different wood.
So it's all about intercepting where they're at.
I'm gonna keep making casts at this.
Hopefully, I will catch some more fish, but guys, if you enjoyed this video or it helped
you out at all, give us a thumbs up and make sure you leave a comment.
Also, for any of the details on the equipment we used in these videos, look down in the
description box below.
There should be some links.

Nakeisha Wakes Up And Sees Mosquito Bites All Over Her Face | Season 1 Ep. 1 | KICKING & SCREAMING - Duration: 2:20.
[music playing]
[snoring]
Look at my [bleep] face.
Oh, girl.
You got a lot of bug bites. - Ew.
Really?
Yeah.
The mosquitoes pretty much came for my life.
They didn't just attack me, they came for me.
In here is, basically, a connect-the-dots,
Etch A Sketch game going on.
The scarf is funny.
Yeah, it doesn't work, either.
She's-- [chuckles] she's got bumps on her forehead.
(LAUGHING) They're, like, mosquito bites or something.
At least you don't look like you got lip injections,
you know?
I'd rather have those.
She took this, like, pink silk scarf (LAUGHING)
and wrapped it over her face.
I hope I don't pass out and die.
[sighs] I don't even want the other mosquitoes
that didn't bite me to see me like this.
Like, that's just-- mm-mm.
They shouldn't have done me like that.
This is everything to me.
This is how I get my job.
This is what I do.
So it's gonna have to get something.
Come on.
[music playing]
And each one of those mosquito bites on your forehead
is probably worth about $50,000.
This is another overwhelmed moment.
[angelic music playing]
Good morning.
Oh, princess.
Looking like a princess coming out of there.
We're [inaudible].
I mean, and it's great.
It wasn't a four-star hotel.
But I didn't suffer as much as other people did.
I'm just washing my hair.
That's messed up, man.
Does anybody have a brush I can borrow?
I don't care.
[sighs]
Are you OK?
[gasps] When Kirsten wakes up, her face is unrecognizable.
(SARCASTIC) I just look wonderful, don't I?
My hair is a hot mess, isn't it?
More your eyes than your hair.
Oh, thanks.
Oh, your eyes are still down.
Oh, baby.
Go away.
Her eyes are completely closed.
Her whole face is swollen.
Like, damn.

Hannah Simone Introduces The Survivalists To The Novices | Season 1 Ep. 1 | KICKING & SCREAMING - Duration: 2:48.
Hey, guys.
Welcome to the jungle.
I'm Hannah Simone.
So here is how this is going to work.
Each survivalist will be paired with a novice.
And then together, for one month,
you will survive in the wild.
10 teams will start this journey.
But in the end, only one team will
win half a million dollars.
All right.
[cheering]
When I win the money, 95% of that
is going to go to nonprofit veteran charities.
Novices, I see you're already wearing your team colors.
Survivalists, I gave you a bag earlier.
Inside that bag is a color band that
will match you to your partner.
Go ahead and open those bags.
Moment of truth.
Who's white?
Right here.
Yeah.
I'm white.
Pink.
Ready to kick some ass?
Tamara, black.
Maxwell. - Hey, Max.
Hey, girl.
[laughter]
Tamara, she looks like if, like, an earth goddess and, like,
Lara Croft had a baby.
I could just tell that, like, she lived a very clean life.
And I live, like, the most, like, dirty life ever.
Like, I'm just full of chemicals and bad decisions.
- [laughs] - Here we go, baby.
[screams]
Purple.
Purple.
So he's a Boy Scout.
And I play video games for a living.
Purple, baby.
Got it.
And I'm like, yep, that's my partner.
My ideal survival partner would be someone like me--
sexy.
We'd just click just like that, we sexy [bleep] running
through the jungle forever.
[laughs]
You got blue.
Oh, Sam and Caleb.
Oh, come on.
So as you may have guessed, you are paired
with your total opposite.
You have the most to learn from the person
that's least like you.
There will be no changing partners.
So if you want to win, you have to keep
your partner in the game.
'Cause if they quit or they're unable to compete,
you are also out.
Well, come on, now.
Meet your partners.
[cheering]
Oh, [bleep].
[laughter]
The one partner I would hate to be partnered
with would probably have to be a 20-year-old
Valley girl from LA.
Where are you from?
I live in Los Angeles.
OK.
And obviously, you can swim, right?
Yeah.
OK.
What else can you do?
I'm really good at pageants.
OK.

The Masonic Symbolism of the U S Capitol - Duration: 9:01.
The Masonic Symbolism of the U.S. Capitol.
by Pao Chang.
The US Capitol is not simply another governmental building. It is the spiritual center of the
United States. Its structure, its art and its symbols all reveal the great importance
of secret Fraternities in the shaping of the world most powerful government. Well explore
the Capitol and discover the features that make this building a Masonic site, an American
Temple of Solomon.
The Capitol is viewed by the average American as the seat of democracy, where big political
decisions are taken. Very few recognize the spiritual elements of the architecture and
the symbolism of the building which literally makes it a temple of Masonic mysteries. At
the center of it all is George Washington, a 33rd degree Freemason being anointed as
the American Christ. The building of the Capitol involved many notions unknown
to the common man yet the builders seemed to give great importance to them: alignment
with heavenly bodies, importance of ley lines, occult numerology, spiritual energy, etc.
Those things might sound like crazy New Age stuff to the average Joe not to the
Founding Fathers who attributed great importance the them. Heres a look at the meaning of
the Capitol.
Built by Freemasonry
The Capitol, like all Washington DC, has been almost entirely designed by Freemasons and
integrates within its architecture and artwork the keys to the Craft.
The United States Capitol, at Washington, D.C., was the creation of a succession of
architects who were almost all Freemasons. Originally designed by William Thornton (1759-1828),
the work was completed by Brother Benjamin Latrobe (a pupil of the English architect
Samuel Pepys Cockerell, 1754-1827) who also redesigned it after the War of 1812. The flanking
wings and the great dome were added later by Brother Thomas Ustick Walter.
The laying of the cornerstone by Washington in full Masonic attire
The cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol Building was laid with Masonic Honors on September
18, 1793 under the auspices of the Grand Lodge of Maryland. At the ceremony, President George
Washington presided. Worshipful Brother Washington was assisted by R.W. Bro. Joseph Clarke, Grand
Master pro. tem. of Maryland, Wor. Elisha C. Dick, Master of Alexandria Lodge No. 22
of Virginia (Washingtons home Lodge) and Wor. Valentine Reintzel, Master of Lodge No.
9 of Maryland (now Potomac Lodge No. 5 of the District of Colombia).
The Capitol facing the Washington Monument Washington DC was carefully laid out in accordance
to ancient occult principles. The Capitol is a vital part of the design by its location
and its shape. The Capitols most important feature is of course its massive dome which
carries heavy symbolic meaning, as well see later. This dome faces the Washington
Monument, the 555.5 foot tall (6666 inches) replica of an Egyptian obelisk. This layout
is strikingly similar to St.Peters Square in the Vatican, where an obelisk faces a giant
dome.
St.Peter Square, Vatican. An obelisk facing a dome.
The same layout can also be found in Paris, Astana and many other cities. There is no
coincidence here: this layout carries an important alchemical meaning. In almost all cultures
the dome has been associated with the female principle, the womb, the matrix. Opposed to
it is the obelisk, the ancient Egyptian phallic symbol representing the male principle. The
union of those two principles gives birth to a third entity, an offspring, that can
be described as spiritual energy. Whether this energy is symbolic or a palpable reality
is something that Im not (yet) qualified to advance on. Many theories claim that shapes
such as pyramids, domes and arches can either store, extract or diffuse energy from their
surrounding area but Ill leave this analysis to someone else. The theme of the union of
male and female principles is very common in occult architecture and is surely the most
easily recognizable.
Lets look at the Capitol. Imagine a straight line starting at the tip of the Capitols
dome and going down, right to the crypt. This is how well explore the Capitol.
Standing at top of the dome of the Capitol is the enigmatic Statue of Freedom standing
on a spherical shape, which probably represent Earth. Around this globe is the saying E
Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One).
She is a female allegorical figure whose right hand holds the hilt of a sheathed sword while
a laurel wreath of victory and the Shield of the United States are clasped in her left
hand. The heraldic shield is the same as in the Great Seal of the United States, with
thirteen stripes, except that the chief has stars (again, thirteen). Her chiton is secured
by a brooch inscribed U.S. and is partially covered by a heavy, Indian-style fringed blanket
thrown over her left shoulder. She symbolically faces east towards the main entrance of the
building which means that incidentally, the sun never sets on Freedom.
So who is this Goddess standing on top of Americas most important building and overlooking
the state Capital? Shes certainly not the Virgin Mary (youd be surprised at the number
of people who think that) and she cannot be positively associated with any ancient goddess.
Truth is, the district bears her name. D.C. = District of Columbia. She is the allegorical
goddess of America, the typically American mythological figure, Columbia.
The dome of the Capitol features in its occulus an incredibly significant painting that reveals
the philosophical, spiritual and political aims of the Founding Fathers. Rare are the
writers have discussed the gnostic, alchemical and esoteric meaning of this work, yet it
has been visited by millions of tourists. The interesting book Freedoms Gate
written by William Henry and Mark Gray is the only work Ive found analyzing the mystical
meaning of this painting called The Apotheosis.
The Apotheosis is the work of Constantino Brumidi, an Italian artist who became famous
for his paintings commissioned by the Vatican and Pope Pius IX. In 1848, an attempt to overthrow
papal power in the Vatican was led by Freemason Giuseppe Mazzini, which lead to a period of
chaos and the fleeing of the Pope. The revolution wasnt however successful and papal power
was restored by a European coalition. Surprisingly, Brumidi was arrested in and found guilty of
leading one of Mazzinis revolutionary groups to overthrow the Vatican. He served some of
his sentence in prisons but was later permitted to leave Italy for the USA under the condition
that he would never come back. He then made a name for himself in the USA by working for
occult fraternities such as the Jesuits and such. Burmidis story is in perfect accordance
with the Capitols status as the Anti-Vatican or the mirror, Mystery Religion opposite of
the Vatican. Lets look at Brumidis magnum opus, the Apotheosis.
An apotheosis can be defined as the exaltation of a subject to divine level. In other words,
this painting depicts the elevation of George Washington to a god-man status, like Jesus
Christ. He is shown seated on a rainbow and behind him is the gateway, the vortex, the
sungate to the heavens (the spirit world). As stated above, the dome esoterically represents
the womb giver of life. Washington is about to exit the womb of the dome to experience
rebirth as an immortal god. William Henry has appropriately noted that Jesus Christs
divinity was portrayed
in a similar way in ancient religious art.

Ikaria, Greece Where People Live Longer Than You Do - Duration: 6:58.
Ikaria, Greece Where People Live Longer Than You Do
Maybe its the crystal blue waters and rocky shores against a mountainous backdrop, idyllic
to any discerning travelers eye, or that the old simply forget to die, but Ikaria,
Greece is like few places on this planet.
With octogenarians who can boast being married for sixty-five years, and most of the community
walking at least a few kilometers a day, there are a few immediately apparent hints as to
why people outlive those in our own countries.
Other secrets of the locals are harder to unearth.
Image credit: Image credit: National Geographic
After all, Ikaria may look post-card perfect, but it isnt much different than many other
Greek isles, or for that matter, much of the Mediterranean.
Ikaria is about 30 miles from the Turkish coast, but people here live at least a decade
longer, on average, then anyone in Turkey, Monaco, Italy, Spain, France, or mainland
Greece, let alone the U.S. or other industrialized nations.
The many 100-plus residents arent just existing into their old-age, they thrive.
Many of them are still physically active, mentally astute, and an active part of the
community.
Ikaria is rare indeed.
It joins just a handful of other countries called Blue Zones where people consistently
live much longer than their American and European neighbors.
These include: Okinawa, Japan; Sardinias Nuoro Province, the Nicoya peninsula in Costa
Rica, Loma Linda in California (where there is a high concentration of Seventh Day Adventists),
and Ikaria, Greece.
Ikaria has the largest number of ninety-year-olds on the planet so how do they do it?
It turns out they share a few commonalities with other cultures, even though the Blue
Zones are spread across the planet.
The things that Ikarians do to stay young and vital might be surprising, too, since
they dont take a million medications, have extensive surgeries, or even nix every bad
habit.
One of Ikarias ninety year olds that was interviewed by National Geographic was even
a smoker.
Diet Matters
Ikarians eat lots of potatoes and beans.
They also eat what looks like a weed called horta.
Horta hasnt been scientifically evaluated for life-sustaining properties but the locals
swear by it.
They also eat a ton of other greens including black mustard, dandelion, wild sorrel, chicory,
fennel, chard, kale, mallow, black nightshade, lambs quarters, wild leeks, hoary mustard,
charlock, Smooth Sow-thistle and even the fresh leaves of the caper plant.
Wild edible plants are used often in cooking, too.
Ikarians Believe in Drinking Red Wine, Taking Naps, and Having Sex
While this sounds more like a recipe for a hedonist than a centenarian, those old fogies
are likely on to something.
Wine has high levels of polyphenols and antioxidants.
It can also help to lower cortisol levels, a hormone associated with stress.
If you drink a glass of wine with an Ikarian meal, it about triples the flavonoid absorption.
Usually, they dont have more than a few.
Taking naps well theres loads of studies showing this singular habit can do everything
from alleviate our sleep deficits, to boost our brains, including improvements in creative
problem solving, verbal memory, perceptual learning, object learning, and statistical
learning.
Naps also improve our ability to learn, manage our blood pressure, and lower incidence of
stroke, or heart attack by 37 percent.
What does having sex do for you besides relieve stress and make you feel amazing?
How about this people who have sex a couple of times a week tend to have higher amounts
of the antibody immunoglobulin A (IgA) than those who have sex less than once a week.
Its also a form of exercise thats good for the heart than running on a treadmill.
It decreases negative menopause symptoms in women, and increases oxytocin to reduce pain.
This also calms the nervous system, and reduces cortisol which can wreak havoc on the body
over time.
Exercise Isnt the Same in Ikaria
The people who live into their nineties in Ikaria definitely exercise.
They walk everywhere.
They work in their gardens.
They use hand tools.
They kneed bread by hand.
Their physical activity is unconscious, but its done every day and integrated into
their lives so seamlessly, theyd probably laugh to see what we do at the gym.
The Intangibles
Ikarians are also fun-loving, jolly people who connect with each other instead of stare
at a cell phone or computer screen all day.
Hosts of scientific literature suggest that our connection to others, alone, can give
us a reason to live.
Being socially connected is our brains lifelong passion, says Matthew Lieberman,
a professor of psychology in the UCLA College of Letters and Science and a professor of
psychiatry and biobehavioral science at UCLAs Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human
Behavior.
Its been baked into our operating system for tens of millions of years.
Ikarians are also self-sufficient people who live a traditional way of life.
As one travel site describes the island,
Ikaria seems to laugh in the face of modern life the greedy rush through time, the
loss of identity through globalization and homogenous life styles, consumerism, materialism
and an official, or unofficial police state that observes and dictates the rules of living
where there is meant to be freedom. If we want to live longer, and fuller lives
like the men and women of Ikaria, Greece, weve got a lot of changing to do but
the take away?
Its totally doable.

Big Brother in America is the Mainstream Media - Duration: 4:27.
Big Brother in America is the Mainstream Media
Journalism and a free, open media is another check and balance on the three branches
of Government and we dont have that check and balance anymore. Shadow of Truth
One of the hallmarks of a totalitarian political regime is control of the media.
In 1996 president Bill Clinton signed into law the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
This law, which was bought and paid for by corporate media lobbies, allowed big corporations
to acquire and consolidate media outlets nationwide.
The 1996 law lifted the limit on the number of television and radio stations any one corporation
could own.
In 2003, the FCC voted to lift the ban on cross-ownership of newspapers and full-power
broadcast stations that serviced the same community.
This was the final nail in the coffin of free and competitive media and news-reporting in
the U.S.
The 1996 Clinton law followed by the lifting of the cross-ownership ban enabled Corporate
America to increase their monopoly on the flow of information in the U.S. and around
the world.
Now six corporations control well over 90% of all media in the U.S.: NewsCorp, Disney,
Viacom, Time Warner, CBS and Comcast.
There Were 88 Media Companies...
Now There Are 6 All Get Their News from Rothschild
Wall Street slips on and geopolitical worries (Reuters headline).
What does the Trump/Obama wiretapping squabble have to do with whether the stock market goes
up or down?
It has nothing to do with whether or not corporations can produce goods and services profitably.
Too be sure the accusation of wiretapping and the possibility that the accusation is
accurate is troublesome in and of itself.
But it has nothing to do with the fact that the stock market is currently the most overvalued
in U.S. history.
The headlines, however reflect the degree to which all media reporting in the U.S. is
now under the control of Corporate America a Corporate America that has assumed control
of the political process and has become Orwells Big Brother.
Most people associate the term fascism with an authoritarian and nationalistic political
system.
But its much more than that.
Mussolini described fascism as the merger between Corporations and Government.
The political system in the U.S. can easily be considered fascist, as Corporate
America and Wall Street have used billions of dollars to take over the entire political
process including all of the mainstream outlets of communication and news reporting.
The result is directly reflected in the nature of the 2016 presidential and congressional
elections.
6 Giant Corporations Control the Media and Americans Consume 10 Hours of Programming
a Day
The content of any news reporting is now a product of the material fed through the broadcast
and print communication outlets controlled by six corporate monoliths and the Too Big
To Fail banks that finance the system.
A good friend and colleague of the Shadow of Truth, John Titus, once quipped with regard
to the publics consumption and acceptance of anything reported as news, put it on
CNN and its true.
This statement succinctly summarizes the propaganda which supports the process by which the Government
seeks to control the views and perceptions of the public at large.

A New Kind of Revolution - Duration: 3:42.
A New Kind of Revolution
Take a step back for a minute and look at the state humanity is in.
80% of the worlds population live below the poverty line.
Homeless people line the streets everywhere you go.
One fifth of the worlds largest rainforest, the Amazon, has been cut down to make way
for industrial farming, and is continuing to be destroyed.
War is rife in the Middle East with over 5 million refugees desperately seeking (or having
sought) asylum in other countries.
The United States and its allies continue greasing the palms of the oil, coal, and coal
seam gas industries, even though the world is crying out for renewable energy solutions
to be rolled out globally.
After one of the biggest nuclear disasters in history in Fukushima, Japan, that put the
rest of the world at risk of nuclear contamination, Japans Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, decided
that instead of pulling out of nuclear energy production, he would continue to invest in
the nuclear energy program.
The education system still continues to churn out obedient workers and stifle the creative
instincts of our children.
Our so-called world leaders insist theyre bent on change, yet continue to value the
needs of the economy over the needs of humanity and the needs of our dying planet.
Something has to change.
We cant sit back and watch the world burn.
We need a revolution
Im not talking about any kind of revolution weve had before.
History has recorded hundreds of revolutions and almost all of them have ended in violence
and bloodshed.
The time for violent revolution is over.
We dont want any kind of destructive revolution, nor do we need one.
We need a constructive revolution a revolution of pure creation.
Imagine a world where we create our way out of the mess were in.
Instead of overthrowing governments, we build new models, new networks, new systems, that
leave the old ways to rot and decay.
Dont like our homeless crisis?
Build food-sharing networks for those who struggle to feed themselves.
Dont like the corporations drilling for oil in the arctic?
Invent new energy solutions so people stop filling their cars with petroleum.
Dont like the scale of deforestation thats taking place around the world?
Turn cemeteries into forests.
There is no limit to what we can create, and yes, we can create our way to a new paradigm
one where everyone has an opportunity to be who they are, and the oppressors no
longer hold the people to ransom.
So I implore you, put your creative hat on, and start trailblazing new pathways to a future
where our current world problems no longer hold us back from human progress.
