Hey I'm Jake and get ready to apple knight.
Pretty bad pun. Pretty bad pun.
Speaking of knight, let's look into your Soul Knight.
A rogue-like shoot em up that has you navigating through randomly-generated dungeons, blasting away enemies
and dodging their attacks with an array of weapons and your trusty cat.
And when I say an array of weapons, there are over 121 to procure during the game.
Some are very useful. Others, not so much.
You can carry two at a time but be warned. Weapons that aren't starting ones or melee ones use your character's energy instead of traditional ammunition.
Once you run out of energy, you run out of bullets.
Fortunately there are a ton baddies to beat which will give you more of that sweet, sweet blue stuff,
And also one of your character's powers is duel-wielding weapons.
If you die, you start a new game but the longer you last the more coins and gems you collect
which can be used to buy health or energy potions from merchants
along with weapons or to hire mercenaries to fight along side you.
There are different character classes that can be unlocked with the gems and the gems can be used to upgrade your character
or buffs as they're called in the game. So buff.
But instead of shooting our way out of a square area let's use our minds in Alcazar Puzzle.
Alcazar is a logic puzzle game that on its surface seems pretty simple.
I mean the instructions are enter from one door exit from another and cross every square exactly once.
Okay not too bad but as you make your way through over 43 puzzles that are included
you'll realize how quickly they become pretty darn difficult.
My general experience was draw a line that seems correct, realize it isn't,
backtrack and delete line. Then stare at screen for an extended period of time while drawing an invisible line above the screen with my finger.
Once figuring out the level, you move on to the next page of the puzzle book.
So let's rip that page out and fold it into Papery Planes.
An endless runner that has you controlling, yep, a paper plane.
Each level is procedurally-generated so you'll never so you'll never experience the same thing twice.
The controls are simple. Move the plane left or right to avoid obstacles and collect coins.
The more coins you collect the more you can upgrade the magnet timer to attract more coins.
They can also be used to unlock four different paper planes.
The game has a really lovely visual style, transitions from day to night, and has a very peaceful soundtrack.
*sigh* So relaxing. No explosions, no alien invasions, no Guns of Mercy.
Guns of Mercy finds you in the not too distant future where the surface of our world has been destroyed by an alien invasion so
you live underground. But the aliens are starting to make it through.
You begin on the first level of the underground world and make your way down after obliterating
a set number of attackers
It might look like you just blast away endlessly, which you do
But you have to be strategic with where you blow the enemies away because
they drop coins and gems that disappear after not too long.
Also they drop awesome powerups like fuel which can be used to pilot a giant mech of destruction.
You can then use the gems you collected to upgrade your character and weapons.
A nice touch is that when you die you start at level one again.
But have hopefully enhanced your arsenals so getting back down to where you died is a breeze.
And you'll definitely need it when encountering the frequent boss battles.
Oh and the game has a pretty dope score as well.
Now that we've defeated the aliens let's rebuild our civilization with Bit City.
Personally I've always been a sucker for city simulators which Bit City is, kind of.
It's more of a clicker game but that is totally not a bad thing.
When I say clicker game it is because you click a lot.
Click on a plot of land. Click to build on said plot. Click to upgrade the structure, Click to collect cash.
Click to collect cash and gain currency from cars, etc.
You start with a small city and move up to larger and larger ones when you hit the population requirements.
The nice thing is every time you move up to a bigger city you still collect some revenue from the old ones.
There are three different types of zoning: residential, business, and service.
The more you build of one type the less demand there is for it and the less revenue you will make.
The point of the game is generating revenue.
Each time you upgrade a building the more money you get.
And the structures are random so if you see one you like you can lock it but still level it up.
Besides building you can add cars to your city which bring in that sweet, sweet cash.
But also give you much larger bonuses and in game currency.
There are also tons of upgrades like increasing the percentage of property taxes,
lowering the time needed to build, automatically leveling up buildings, and generating more money from vehicles.
As you progress your city can start having things like planes and boats.
But keep in mind the larger your city the more money needed because each time you build on a plot, all the other plots get more expensive.
Especially the large ones.
Links to all the apps can be found in the description below and if you want more App All Knight in your life, there is a playlist right here.
I'm wearing a lab coat for no particular reason.
But I'm gonna go check on my city and as always, thanks for watching.

Star Wars Puzzle Droids, a game I can legit not stop playing because we work here and
get early access to these things, is now available for pre-registration on Google Play worldwide.
The game, is a classic match 3 style puzzle game with a Star Wars twist, and recreates
moments from the Star Wars saga told by the droids, across classic locations like Jake,
Takodana.
Puzzle droids, the free-to-play mobile game, will be available on iOS, android, and amazon
soon and can be experienced for yourself on the show floor at Star Wars Celebration.
Just, if you do play it, don't be like Andi and play it during important Star Wars Show
meetings.
Ha, like anyone pays attention in those meetings anyways.
It's just Scott talking about stuff That's true, you called my bluff.
I've never been to a Star Wars Show meeting.
How does any of this work?
LIES DECEPTIONS.
How long is this supposed to be?
Because I can go for 4 hours, let me start from the beginning again.
Hi my name is Leland Chee and I am the Keeper of the Holocron for the Lucasfilm Story Group.
When I describe my job to friends, the easiest wait o do it is just to say I am a Star Wars
expert.
My job is to know more about Star Wars than pretty much everyone else.
This is a Holocron.
In Star Wars lore, it is an artifact used by the Jedi that contains knowledge of Star
Wars lore.
I am essentially the keeper of Star Wars lore and instead of a Holocron, I use a database
that I built.
We have over 80,000 different entries for characters and planets and ships.
I wish I could tell you there was a career path to becoming the Keeper of the Holocron.
Unfortunately there isn't.
I started at Lucas Arts as a game tester coming in with all this history and with all this
Star Wars knowledge.
And actually the first game I ever tested was a non Star Wars game called Herc's Adventures.
And I was like, I'm in with all this Star Wars knowledge and they're putting me on
a non Star Wars fame.
Then one of the titles I tested was called Behind the Magic.
I was in test for 3 years which is a long time and that's when I saw the posting.
There's no such thing as a typical day for the Keeper of the Holocron.
We are involved in so many forms of entertainment whether its movies, TV, books.
So at one point I could be reading scripts for a film or I could be reading a manuscript
for one of our novels, or I might be asked to try out the latest VR experience.
There really isn't a standard day and each day is grit.
I did an article for Wired and in that magazine they commissioned me to do artwork of me as
a Jedi.
Licensing saw that and got inspired and decided to create an action figure.
I gave him a name, Selig Kenjenn.
So there is an action figure with my likeness.
There are so many, so many memorable, amazing, life altering experiences that I've had
in the 20 years that I've been here.
This week we are talking all about Ralph McQuarrie with the authors of Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie.
With Wage Lageose, Brandon Alinger and David Mandel.
Thank you guys for joining us!
Thank you for having us!
We've got the book right here behind me, the two-volume set and it's massive
So tell me a little bit about how this project got started.
I think it was book that Lucasfilm wanted to do for some time and they talked about
doing it for a number of years I think.
And I knew David and Wade, I knew that they were both McQuarrie collectors and enthusiasts
so it sort of seemed like a logical assembly.
Yeah you all sort of brought a different element to the book, because I know Wade you brought
a lot of first hand accounts.
Yeah he actually knew Ralph.
I had the opportunity to meet Ralph in 1997 and we just became fast friends so he would
just share stories of working on the films with Lucas.
That's amazing and a lot of those stories are included in the book
That was what we really wanted to bring to the table rather than just a catalogue of
the artwork which would have been fine in itself.
Yeah people would have loved that anyways.
But then we thought wouldn't it be great to go and really talk to everyone else who
was a collaborator with Ralph and try to get their stories, get some of the stories behind
the art.
We really did try to treat it like an art book so this is how you would do a Leonardo
DaVinci book.
A chronological approach of what he was working on.
Yeah there were some interesting things we were working on to plot things out chronologically
where you look at stuff where you assume it was for the Star Wars Holiday Special, like
all this Wookie house artwork and then we sort of determined based on the sequencing
of the little numbers that were in the corner of the pages that those were actually concepts
that he did for Empire.
So then you go back and the story treatments and the scripts, well actually the Empire
script had the Wookie planet in it so this was all stuff he was doing for Empire and
then they refurnished it for the Holiday Special.
That brings up an interesting point.
The work of Ralph McQuarrie has been repurposed and reused and adapted through the entire
history of Star Wars.
You have any particular favorite designs or paintings that have kind of popped up later
on?
I love that they use his original Chewbacca design on Rebels.
That one always kills me.
I remember the archivists saying there's people in there all the time going through
drawers looking at art for inspiration for whatever new project they're working on.
Which is interesting because this book, kind of encapsulates everything he did on these
productions.
The archives can now be in your hands.
We've been told sort of off the record that over in the UK they all have copies of the
book now and can use for the Studio.
See guys, that's great!
A point of pride for us Thank you guys for coming by.
This was really enlightening The book is absolutely gorgeous and you did
an amazing job so thanks again.
The captain says you are a friend, I will not kill you.
(heavy breathing) KENOBIIIII!
Hey honey, check out my outfit for Star Wars Celebration!
Those are you pajamas No it's cool, Star Wars Show said I could
wear them.
I think they meant as a joke.
Carboniiiii!
For the record, you can totally attend in your pajamas.
You have my permission to attend in your pajamas.
Plus this year it's in Florida and like, that state essentially has no rules.
So…you be you!
It is a lawless frontier at World.
Pajamas for everybody!
Everyone in pajamas all the time.
This weekend every website is going to be littered with fake trailers and wacky products
designed to fool you because…Aprils fools day.
But not us!
We're different!
That's right, And by different we mean lazy and didn't want to produce anything.
HOWEVER!
Since April Fools is this weekend, and Star Wars actually has some really good jokes in
it, we want to know your favorite funny moments from Star Wars.
Send them to us using the hashtag Star Wars Goofs and we'll feature our favorites here
next week.
My favorite part is how the Ewoks look like they're cute adorable teddy bears designed
for children but it turns out they're murdering people and putting heads on spikes.
And using them for drums!
It's so funny!
Hilarious!
Thanks for watching and may the Force be with you.
Also, you're welcome Frank.
Now you don't have to make an April Fools package.

Trump Has Weakened America By Destroying Environmental Protections - Duration: 4:07.
During the Republican presidential campaign, the primary, the Republican debates, we heard
Republicans very briefly tell us that the United States cannot go it alone when it comes
to reducing carbon emissions.
After all, what's the point in the United States cutting back on our carbon emissions
when other countries like China are just spewing carbon into the atmosphere negating everything
that we do here in the United States so why bother?
That's the rational that Republicans used in 2015 and 2016 and that helped lead to Donald
Trump this past week signing an executive order to completely undo the environmental
protections put in place by former President Barack Obama specifically requiring the Environmental
Protection Agency to take a good look at the Clean Power Act and basically try to repeal
it piece by piece saying that it kills jobs rather than helps the American economy, something
that it completely untrue.
The Clean Power plan would have added far more jobs to the economy that it would have
taken away from the coal industry, which is already dying.
But Donald Trump tells us were bringing those coal jobs back.
They're coming back.
You know who doesn't agree with him?
Coal companies' CEOs who have admitted in the last week that, "No, those coal jobs that
are lost, yeah, they're never coming back, but we've already stripped pension and health
care protection away from existing coal miners so, 'Eh,' right?"
It's kind of what the Trump administration is doing here.
Now were taking away the restrictions that prevent them from spewing carbon and other
greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at a fevered pitch.
But here's the big irony.
The United States right now is moving backwards on climate policy, the same thing we accused
other countries of doing, or at least the Republicans accused other countries of doing
during the campaign.
Meanwhile the rest of the planet is actually moving forward.
Those horrible polluters that the Republicans mentioned during those debates, specifically
China and India, they have more aggressive climate change negating programs than we do
here in the United States.
China just announced that in Beijing, a city with, I think, about 72,000 fossil fueled
taxicabs, they're replacing all of those with a fleet of all-electric vehicles, zero emissions.
That's just in one city.
India wants to go 60% renewable by the year 2027, and they're investing the money to make
sure that that happens.
One of the largest carbon emitters on the planet is going to be 60% renewable by 2027.
That's their goal, a loftier goal than anything the United States has ever set.
So I ask you this, Republicans, specifically Marco Rubio, who's the one who made that claim,
how do you feel now?
The United States was a global leader on climate change.
We were.
We were setting the pace.
We put in motion the Paris Climate Accord.
We're the ones who got other people to sign on.
We were leaders.
Now we're in last place.
We're looking to other countries like China and India and everywhere in Europe to save
our asses because we want to help out the fossil fuel industry.
We want to make false promises about coal jobs just so we can screw over the environment.
We are losers now.
We're those idiot polluters that you Republicans loved to trash on that debate stage.
That's us now, and it's all because
of you.

5 Mysterious Creature Sightings & Encounters in the Middle of Wars - Duration: 6:59.
In 1959, Colonel Remy Van Lierde, commander of the Kamina air base in the Belgian Congo, snapped this photo...
...allegedly documenting an unidentified and aggressive species of snake measuring over 50-feet (15 m) in length.
Van Lierde had been on a helicopter mission monitoring the armed resistance that would lead to the Congo Crisis in 1960...
...when from a height of 500-feet (150 m), he saw the snake emerge from a hole and attempt to strike the helicopter as it approached.
He claimed its head was 2-feet (60 cm) wide with 3-foot (90 cm) long jaws and that it had a brown/green body with a white belly.
Some believe the snake may have been a surviving relative of the extinct Titanoboa, but the specimen was never seen again...
In late 2016, marine archeologists announced they may have found the wreckage of the infamous WWI German U-boat UB-85...
...spotted in these sonar images that were taken by an unmanned Scottish Power survey ROV in the Irish Sea.
It is rumored that when UB-85 was sunk on April 30, 1918, after failing to dive, her rescued crew shared a terrifying story...
...explaining that they had been attacked during the night by a large creature while the submarine was recharging its batteries.
The monster was described by the U-boat's captain as having "large eyes, set in a horny sort of skull"...
...and he added that "it had a small head, but with teeth that could be seen glistening in the moonlight."
The crew is said to have fought off the creature with their sidearms, but that the encounter left the vessel badly damaged.
Stranded on the surface, UB-85 became easy prey and was destroyed in an encounter with the British patrol ship HMS Coreopsis...
Supposedly described by anthropologist Myra Shackley in her book "Still Living?" was a bizarre 1925 encounter...
...in which Soviet soldiers hunting down enemy forces in the rugged Pamir Mountains came across an unusual figure in a cave.
Believing armed rebels were hiding in the shadows, the soldiers fired into the dark until they heard an ungodly animal scream.
A hairy human-like beast came running out of the cave past them before until it collapsed and died from gunshot wounds.
The soldiers considered skinning the specimen but found it so unsettlingly human that they buried the evidence instead...
The 1914 Battle of Mons in WWI is said to have been the scene of two mysterious and unexplained sightings...
...believed by some of the soldiers stranded in no man's land to have been signs of forces at work from heaven and hell.
Following the battle, the more inspiring tale of the "Angels of Mons" quickly spread in the British media...
...describing phantom bowmen in the sky that supposedly slowed an overwhelming German assault to allow for an organized retreat.
Far more disturbing reports of the Hound of Mons, however, seemed to have been covered up until after the war...
...when British soldiers recounted losing comrades to an enormous and deranged and wolf-like beast the prowled their trenches.
Night after night, both British and German soldiers in the area were allegedly found dead with their throats mauled.
Rumors circulating amongst the combatants suggested the Hound may have been a German hybrid animal experiment that escaped...
It is alleged that during the Iraq and Afghan Wars, American soldiers saw strange and terrifying figures on night patrols.
The forms moved swiftly and appeared gauntly human in shape, but did not register in night or thermal vision goggles.
Such sightings were initially attributed to the paranoia and stress of occupying dangerous territory in an unfamiliar land...
...yet the soldiers suspected that maybe they weren't crazy when they began hearing locals speak of a flesh-eating creature.
Villagers described being hunted by a humanoid similar to either a vampire or the ghoul-like jinn from Islamic mythology.
Reports became so common that it is believed the military began keeping psy-ops records on disappearances linked to the creature...

The Atonement: Real or Potential? (Selected Scriptures) - Duration: 40:25.
As we come this morning to the Lord's table, I want us to think about the meaning of the
death of Christ.
For years now we have been working our way through the accounts of the gospels, Luke
and now Mark.
And maybe this morning to divert ourselves from that a little bit and think perhaps more
theologically about the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, we'll enrich us and enrich our
experience at the Lord's table today.
I want to begin by inviting you to turn to Revelation chapter 5...Revelation chapter
5.
We've engaged in worship this morning, the worship of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have sung of His love and our love to Him.
We will do this forever, by the way.
This is only a preview of what will be our experience every moment, every sleepless moment
of eternity we will be praising Him.
The book of Revelation gives us a glimpse into the praise of heaven.
In verse 9 of Revelation 5 we hear the very expression of praise that is lifted up.
It is a new song, the heavenly song, the new song being the song of salvation.
That's a phrase borrowed from the Psalms.
And the words go like this.
"Worthy are You," and this is sung to the Lamb that is slain mentioned in verse 6.
"Worthy are You to take the book and break its seals for You were slain and purchased
for God with Your blood, men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation, You have
made them to be a Kingdom and priests to our God and they will reign upon the earth."
And then it goes on in verse 12, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and
riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."
Again in verse 13, "To Him who sits on the throne, namely God, and to the Lamb be blessing
and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."
And the elders in verse 14 who represent the church fell down and worshiped.
Worshiping is the occupation of heaven.
And the worship will be directed at God out of gratitude for His saving plan effected
through the sacrifice of Christ.
You go back to verse 9 with me for a moment and keep in your mind this statement, "You
were slain and purchased for God with Your blood, men from every tribe and tongue and
people and nation."
What this tells us is that the core and the heart of heavenly praise is gratitude for
Christ's purchase of sinners for God.
When we come to the communion table, the Lord's table, we are looking at the cross and we
are looking at the great event, the great historical reality of Christ paying the price
to purchase for God His people.
Now when we talk about the death of Jesus Christ then we are talking about an actual
purchase.
We're not talking about a potential purchase, we're not talking about a general sort of
act on Jesus' part that may in the future become a purchase.
We are talking about a real purchase.
It is the act of Christ dying on the cross that pays the price to God, purchasing the
people who will be redeemed from every tribe and tongue and nation.
Now what I want you to put in your mind is that the death of Jesus Christ is an act by
which He purchases His people.
It is not a potential act, it is an actual act.
It is not a general act, it is a particular act.
Now all of that is very, very important because if you ask the average person for whom did
Christ die?
I think if you asked the average Christian, for whom did Christ die?
If you asked most pastors, for whom did Christ die?
The answer would be, "For everybody, for everyone."
That's the typical belief.
You hear people say, "Christ died for the whole world," that means He died for every
human being.
And He wants you to receive that gift of His death personally on your own behalf.
Jesus paid the debt on the cross for everyone's sins, He paid the debt in full, He loves everyone
equally.
He wants everyone to be saved.
And He waits for the sinner to turn a potential atonement into an actual atonement, or to
turn a general atonement into a particular atonement, and the sinner can do that by an
act of the sinner's will.
So much of evangelism is driven at the sinner's will, crafted, manipulated to bring the sinner
to a certain place emotionally, psychologically that he will activate his own will and accept
what Christ has done and therefore turn a potential and general atonement into an actual
and particular atonement.
So that view is that Jesus' death on the cross was a death for everyone in general...listen...but
a death for no one in particular.
Okay?
That's the view.
That is the standard view.
We would call it an Arminian view but it's the standard view, He died for everyone in
general and no one in particular.
In fact, you have the most popular Christian book in the last ten years, the author says,
"I can lead anyone to Christ if I find the key to that person's heart."
So it all depends on our technique and how good we are at identifying what moves people
psychologically and emotionally.
Now let's think about that a little bit.
We need to work on sinners to get them to receive the salvation already purchased for
them.
That's the idea.
That's the popular idea.
The fallout of that idea is pretty serious.
That means that hell is full of people whose salvation was purchased, right?
That if in fact Christ paid for the sins of everyone who has ever lived, their sins were
paid for.
He died for their sins.
He was a substitute for their sins, therefore hell is full of people whose salvation was
purchased, whose sins were paid for by Christ.
The Lake of Fire then will be filled with eternally damned people who suffer forever
for their sins, even though those sins were already paid for.
Christ then atoned and bore the punishment for the sins of the people in hell in the
same way He did for the sins of the people in heaven.
So the only difference between the people in heaven and the people in hell is that the
people in hell are suffering double jeopardy on a legal level, their sins already being
paid for in full and yet they're there suffering for sins that have already been paid for,
and they're there because they didn't have the sense or somebody didn't make the right
approach to activate them emotionally and mentally to turn the potential atonement of
Jesus into an actual one.
Therefore, the people in heaven can spend eternal life congratulating themselves, or
congratulating whoever it was that moved them emotionally or psychologically to make the
right call.
Does that sound like biblical theology?
Did Jesus Christ do the exact same thing for all the people in hell that He did for all
the people in heaven?
And is the only difference that the people in heaven are in heaven because they of their
own will activated a general atonement and turned it into a specific one, or a particular
one?
That is strange theology, that Jesus died for the sins of the redeemed and He died for
the sins of the damned.
That He paid the penalty for everyone in full and the sinner is in hell because of the sinner's
failure to make the right call on his own condition.
The bottom line in that is you have just not only created chaos at every level of soteriology
but particularly for our discussion, you have redefined the atonement.
And if there's anything we want to understand when we come to the Lord's table, we better
understand the atonement.
We could talk about the foundational doctrine to understand with regard to salvation and
that is total depravity, right?
The sinner is unable and unwilling, that he's a block and a stone, he's a rock, he's dead,
he's blind, he's in the darkness, he's alienated from the life of God, he doesn't desire God,
he doesn't seek God, he doesn't want God.
There's no way to get to the right decision to activate the atonement on his behalf if
it depends on him.
So, we have a major problem if we think that the sinner has the wherewithal within himself
to crawl up out of his own casket, spiritually speaking, to open his own blind eyes, to throw
off the blindness that Satan has imposed upon him, to literally overturn the normal dominating
lust of his own heart and somehow make the right move toward Christ.
This is a failure to understand the essence of depravity.
What it really means is, the sinner is both unable and here's the most important one,
unwilling.
He can't will it and he couldn't do it if he could will it.
You can't make the final atonement up to the sinner or you have Jesus dying for everybody
in general and nobody in particular.
And therefore you've redefined what it means that He purchased us.
The notion that God loves everybody so much that He gave His Son for everybody but only
in some kind of limited way, some kind of marginal way, some kind of half way is contrary
to what the Bible teaches.
And the idea that God has done in full for the people in hell, the very same thing He's
done for the people in heaven, is just not possible...just not possible.
The Bible says that all people are dead in trespasses and sin, alienated from the life
of God, doing only evil continually, unwilling and unable to understand, repent and believe.
They have darkened minds, blinded by sin and Satan, hearts full of evil, wicked and desiring
only the will of their father who is none other than Satan, unable to seek God.
Now how do you get from there to finding in yourself the power to activate a sort of potential
atonement that Jesus has offered?
We have therefore the power of salvation in the hands of the sinner.
That's just not consistent with Scripture.
John 1 doesn't take long looking in the gospel of John to find this out, chapter 1 verse
12, "As many as received Him, as many as received Him"..listen..."to them He gave the exousia,
the power to become children of God even to those who believe in His name."
Look, if anybody believes in His name, if anybody receives Him, it is because He gave
them the power.
They were born, verse 13 says, not of blood, that is not because of some inheritance humanly
speaking, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God.
If anyone receives, if anyone believes, it is because it is the will of God by which
God Himself has given the power to the sinner to become His child.
Ephesians 2:8 and 9, "For by grace are you saved, through faith that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God."
It is, 1 Corinthians 1:30, by God's power that you are Christ's, by His power so that
if you glory, you glory in Him.
If you have life, it is from God.
If you have light, it is from God.
If you have sight, it is from God.
If you have understanding, it is from God.
If you have repentance, it is from God.
If you have faith to embrace Christ, it is from God.
It is the work of God.
God alone can give life.
God alone can regenerate.
And it is the power of God alone that brings salvation to the sinner.
Now to whom does God do this?
For whom does He do this?
It is for those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life from before the foundation
of the world.
By His eternal choice bound up in the glorious truth of sovereign election, God has determined
to save certain people and it is for those certain people that Jesus paid an actual price,
that Jesus rendered an actual atonement, that He was an actual propitiation or covering,
or satisfaction for the wrath of God, that He provided a specific and particular redemption
for His people...for His people.
A potential atonement, the result of that would be...who would be saved?
No one, really, if it was left to the sinner because the sinner is unable.
Just to seal this a little deeper perhaps in your mind.
I want you to look at John chapter 10, John chapter 10, the importance of this particular
passage cannot be overstated.
John 10 verse 11, "I am the Good Shepherd, the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the
sheep.
I am the Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep."
Verse 14, I am the Good Shepherd, I know My own and My own know Me.
Even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father and I lay down My life for the sheep.
I have other sheep which are not of this fold, not Jewish but Gentile, I must bring them
also.
I must bring them."
Why?
"Because they are My sheep."
How did they become My sheep?
They are a love gift from a sovereign Father to Me.
"All that the Father gives to Me shall come to Me," John 6.
"And they will hear My voice and they will become one flock with one shepherd."
I mean, this is just a monumental statement.
"I know My sheep.
My sheep will know Me.
My sheep have been called and identified by My Father.
I receive them, they are My own, it is for them that I lay down My life."
Later in this same chapter, over in verse 25, Jesus answered His enemies and critics
by saying, "I told you and you do not believe the works that I do in My Father's name.
These testify of Me, but you do not believe because you are not of My sheep."
Wow!
"My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me and I give eternal life to
them and they will never perish and no one will snatch them out of My hand."
That cannot be more specific, can it?
Therein you have the words of the Lord Jesus Christ testifying to a specific atonement,
a particular redemption an actual substitutionary sacrifice for His sheep.
He knows them.
The Father has identified them.
They belong to Him by virtue of the Father.
They are drawn to Him.
They come to Him.
It is for them He died.
Now maybe this is some new thinking for you as you've heard, "For whom did Christ die?"
and maybe thought you could just give the standard answer, "He died for the whole world."
It has to be this, that He died for those who would believe because they would repent
and embrace Him since the Father would give them life because the Father had chosen them.
Those who believe are those whom God calls.
Those who believe are those whom God calls and grants repentance and faith.
Those who believe are those whom God calls and grants repentance and faith because they
are those whom God chose before the foundation of the world.
So someone would say, and I've been accused of this, and I accept it, "You believe in
a limited atonement."
That's like a swear word to some people, limited atonement, or swear phrase.
I do believe in a limited atonement and I am passionate about a limited atonement.
But then so do you.
And when anybody says, "I don't believe in a limited atonement," I say this to them,
"Then you believe that everyone who has ever lived will be in heaven, right?"
Well no.
Okay, so you do believe in a limited atonement.
Right?
The only question for you is, who limits it?
Who limits it?
Now if you want to believe that Jesus died and paid the penalty for all the sins of all
the people who ever lived, then I'll promise you this, all the people who ever lived would
have to show up in heaven to confirm your belief because if Christ indeed pay the sacrifice
in full for their sins, they will be in heaven unless Christ paying for your sins is something
that is in itself impotent.
You don't really want to land with an unlimited atonement or you're going to end up as a universalist
and you're going to deny the reality of hell.
But that's a little hard to deny, isn't it?
Since Jesus talked more about hell than He did about heaven, and talked about a Lake
of Fire and weeping and wailing and grinding of teeth and outer darkness, people gnashing
in pain and suffering.
In so many places in the Bible it talks about everlasting destruction.
Read 2 Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 7, it talks about the Lord Jesus being revealed
from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire dealing out retribution on those who
don't know God and those who don't obey the gospel and they will pay the penalty of eternal
destruction away from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His power.
That's a devastating statement.
And it was our Lord Jesus who said in John 8:24, "You're going to die in your sins because
you believe not in Me, you're going to die in your sins."
And again in the gospel of John, "You're going to die in your sins and where I go you'll
never comes."
Where are you going to go?
You're going to go into that horrible place called hell.
"If you believe not," John 3 says, "you're going to be judged."
"But if you believe, you will not be judged."
Why?
"Because your sins have already been judged."
So if you believe, that's evidence that your sins have been paid for by Christ.
Your sins have been judged.
If you do not believe, then you will be judged for your sins.
Look, the atonement is limited.
It is limited in its efficacy.
It is limited in its efficiency.
It is limited in its application.
It is limited obviously.
The only question is, who limits it?
And the only right answer is that God limits it and that He limited it in this sense, that
it was an actual payment in full of all the sins of all the people who would ever believe.
And the people who would ever believe would believe because of His mighty work on their
hearts based upon His sovereign eternal purpose.
Sinners have to believe, but they can't.
They have to repent, but they can't on their own until they are enabled by God.
When people ask me about my favorite Bible verse, a couple of them come to mind but very
often this one, 2 Corinthians 5:21, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that
we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
He became sin for us, Paul says, for us.
He's writing to the church.
Now with that thought in mind, from 2 Corinthians, that same passage, back up in that same chapter
to verses 14 and 15 and this will help.
Paul writes, "The love of Christ controls us, having concluded this," and here comes
the point I want you to see, "that one died for all."
Now stop there.
"There it is," you say.
"There it is, He died for all."
Okay, that's what it says, I admit.
But who is the all?
The New Testament also says that all thought that John the Baptist was a prophet, does
that mean everybody on the planet?
No.
Anytime "all" is used, there is a point of reference.
All of a certain people that fit into a certain category then is defined for us.
"One died for all, therefore all died."
Hum....so He died for all who died.
And then verse 15, and again, "He died for all."
Who?
"So that they...this is the all...who live might no longer live for themselves but for
Him who died and rose again on their behalf."
Oh...so He died for all and who are the all that He died for?
All who died in Him.
And He died for all, and who are the all that He died for?
All who live in Him and it was for them that He died and rose again on their behalf.
There is the specificity of the atonement.
There is the actuality of the atonement.
There is the particularity of the redemption of Christ.
He died for all, the all being for all who died in Him.
He died for all, all being those who live in Him, remember Romans 6 that we are buried
in His death and we rise in His resurrection?
For all who died for Him, He died.
For all who rise in Him, He died.
It is for them He died and rose again.
I want you to understand, folks, there is reason that every moment of a sleepless eternity
you are going to be praising God for your salvation because it is all a work of God,
from beginning to end.
And the work that Jesus did on the cross was not a potential atonement that you activate,
it was not a general atonement that you particularized by an act of your will, it was a specific
atonement.
We all understand that it was limited, the only question is was it limited by the sinner
which not only gives the sinner way more power than the sinner has, but diminishes the essence
of the atonement and turns it in to some partial thing that has to be completed by human faith.
Or is it better to say, "God limited it with consistency with His own elective sovereign
purpose so that it was limited to be applied only to those who throughout history would
believe because they were given life by God Himself and for them He provided an actual
atonement.
I do not believe that Jesus Christ on the cross did the same thing for the people in
hell that He did for the people in heaven.
He died on our behalf.
Dear friend, you understand what it conveys to your mind and your heart to think about
that?
Those who say the atonement is unlimited don't mean it.
They really mean it's limited to those who believe but then that's not unlimited.
Of course it's limited.
But those who believe in an atonement that is unlimited really believe in an atonement
that's limited, but they also not only get their terms limited and unlimited confused,
they get the word atonement confused.
In a sense, they would turn the sacrifice of Christ on the cross into something like
an Old Testament animal sacrifice.
Did an Old Testament animal sacrifice save anybody?
No...no.
The Old Testament animal sacrifice didn't save anybody.
Was anybody in the Old Testament saved?
Yes, they believed, repentant in faith.
There had to be a heart issue that gave personal meaning to that sacrifice.
So is that the same with Jesus?
Did He die like an animal?
And in His death was there no particular atonement?
But if people get their hearts right, then somehow it can be applied to them?
That is such a convoluted view of the atonement that it begs discussion.
Christ did not pay for the sins of all the people who have ever lived in some impotent
way, only to be given power by the sinner, but father He gave an actual atonement, a
total atonement, a complete atonement bearing in His own body our sins, Peter says, in full
for all who would believe and all who would believe believed because of the power of God,
not by the will of man but by the power of God.
Hell is not full of millions of people whose sins were paid for in full, they just weren't
clever enough, wise enough, emotionally moved enough, psychologically stimulated enough
to actualize that atonement.
Hell is the place where unbelievers go and an atonement was not provided for them.
That doesn't lessen their culpability.
In the mysteries of God's mind, beyond our ability to understand, the sinner is still
fully responsible for his rejection.
So, you can't limit the atonement's power.
You can't limit the atonement's effectiveness.
You can't make it potential rather than actual.
It is a real true, full and complete provision for sin for all who will believe and all who
will believe will believe by the power of God.
Look at Isaiah 53, just a good place to see this laid out so magnificently in the Old
Testament.
Isaiah 53:4, this is talking about the language of real actual substitution.
"Surely our griefs He Himself bore, our sorrows He carried, yet we ourselves esteemed Him
stricken, smitten by God and afflicted, but He was pierced through not for His own transgressions
but for our transgressions.
He was crushed for our iniquities.
The chastening for our well being fell upon Him and by His scourging we are healed."
It is an effective atonement that Messiah will accomplish.
It is an effective atonement.
At the end of verse 6, "The Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him."
Verse 11, end of the verse, "My servant will justify the many as He will bear their iniquities."
For many...
At the end of verse 12, "He bore the sins of many and interceded for the transgressors."
It is a real atonement, a real sin bearing.
He is a genuine substitute sacrifice, feels the full fury of the wrath of God.
The angel said to Joseph, Matthew 1:21, "Call Him Jesus, for He will save His people from
their sins."
Now somebody is going to say, "What about...what about all the references in Scripture to the
world?
God so loved the world, gave His only begotten Son."
And there are many.
John 1:29, John the Baptist says, "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of
the world."
What about that?
Well, first of all, you don't believe that He takes away the sins of the entire human
race through all time, right?
That's universalism and we know that can't happen because there is a hell and there is
judgment and the majority of people go there and the minority go to heaven.
So world has to mean something other than every human being that's ever lived.
And the simple answer is, it means humanity.
He is the Savior of the world in the sense that the world only has one Savior, right?
Whoever in the world who will be saved will be saved by the one Savior who is the Savior
of the world.
The world meaning beyond the narrow borders of Jewish life, even the Gentiles, humanity
in general.
He is the only Savior the world will ever know.
You say, "But wait a minute, there's another verse."
First John 2 says, "He's the propitiation for our sins and not for ours only but the
sins of the whole world."
Well if He's propitiation for our sins, and also the whole world, then in what sense is
that true?
That's not...that's not difficult to interpret because you have an almost identical grammatical
construction in the eleventh chapter of John out of the most unlikely mouth of the high
priest, John 11.
Caiaphas is speaking and he says, "You know nothing at all," verse 50, John 11, "do you
take into account that it's expedient for you that one man die for the people and the
whole nation not perish?"
He was really talking politically there.
Verse 51, "Nor did He...Now He did not say this on His own initiative, but being high
priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation...listen to
this...and not for the nation only, but in order that He might also gather together into
one the children of God who are scattered abroad."
That's the same basic construction.
He died not only for the nation Israel, but for those nations scattered abroad.
And that's exactly the same construction that John picks up, He died for our sins as Jews
and not for ours only but for the nation, the ethna, the Gentiles, the world.
So we can sort of let Caiaphas be our interpreter and let John be our interpreter of Caiaphas.
Well somebody is going to inevitably say to me, "What about 2 Peter 2:1?
False prophets that arose among the people?"
What people?
The church, the redeemed.
"False teachers will come among you."
They're in the church.
"Who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing
swift destruction upon themselves."
Okay, can we conclude one thing?
Whatever it means, the Master who bought them, it doesn't mean they were saved or they wouldn't
be destroyed, right?
They weren't real believers or they wouldn't have been destroyed.
So some people say, "See, here you have then people for whom Christ has paid the purchase
price who are obviously not believers, they're going to be destroyed.
Doesn't this contradict the argument?"
The Master who bought them?
What could that possibly mean, in what sense did He buy them?
Let me show you the best answer to that.
Deuteronomy 32, does that seem like a long trip to interpret that verse?
Listen to this.
Here is a parallel illustration and it may well have been in Peter's mind because it
is such a familiar, familiar passage, the song of Moses.
Deuteronomy 32, this is an indictment.
Moses poetically refers to God redeeming Israel as a people collectively but affirms the apostasy
of many Israelites.
Verse 5, "They have acted corruptly toward Him.
They are not His children because of their defect.
They're a perverse crooked generation.
Do you thus repay the Lord, O foolish and unwise people, is not He your Father who has
bought you?"
Do you understand that?
What do you mean He bought you?
He redeemed you out of Egypt, right?
He redeemed you out of Egypt.
He brought you to the promised land.
He's brought you all the way here and many of you, most of you are corrupt and apostate,
but you are in the congregation of those who were redeemed from Egypt, the same is going
on in Second Peter.
You're in the church, you're a part of the redeemed community.
You're a part of the church and almost in a sarcastic way, you deny the very Master
who redeemed you, only in that superficial sense.
You know that Paul said, "Not Israel is Israel," and certainly not all the church is the church.
Well, I know that's a lot to digest.
But when you come to the celebration of the Lord's table, I want you to understand that
what you're celebrating is a mighty work of God that started in eternity past on your
behalf.
And you need now and forever you will praise the Lord for this astounding sovereign gift
of grace.
Let's bow in prayer.
Father, we come to You now with grateful hearts beyond words to express.
We have been caught away, again, in the raptures of the realities of salvation.
We thank You that because we were chosen, because an actual price was paid, we are therefore
secured forever for we could never perish because you have taken the full judgment in
our place.
We thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, that You suffered on the cross in just a few hours
of darkness, an eternity of punishment on millions of souls.
You took the full weight of divine wrath for those who would believe.
We thank You, Lord, for this real gift, this true atoning work.
We will praise You forever that You were slain in order to purchase us., pay the price for
the ones that the Father had determined in eternity past to give to You.
We want to be Your people in every sense, true and faithful, to that grace and that
love, amen.

ESO: "Extreme Environments" of Supermassive Black Holes at Heart of Galaxies Trigger Star Formation - Duration: 4:47.
ESO: "Extreme Environments" of Supermassive Black Holes at Heart of Galaxies Trigger Star
Formation
Observations using ESO's Very Large Telescope have revealed stars forming within powerful
outflows of material blasted out from supermassive black holes at the cores of galaxies.
These are the first confirmed observations of stars forming in this kind of extreme environment.
The discovery has many consequences for understanding galaxy properties and evolution.
The results are published in the journal Nature.
A UK-led group of European astronomers used the MUSE and X-shooter instruments on the
Very Large Telescope (VLT) at ESO's Paranal Observatory in Chile to study an ongoing collision
between two galaxies, known collectively as IRAS F23128-5919, that lie around 600 million
light-years from Earth.
The group observed the colossal winds of material -- or outflows -- that originate near the
supermassive black hole at the heart of the pair's southern galaxy, and have found the
first clear evidence that stars are being born within them.
Such galactic outflows are driven by the huge energy output from the active and turbulent
centres of galaxies.
Supermassive black holes lurk in the cores of most galaxies, and when they gobble up
matter they also heat the surrounding gas and expel it from the host galaxy in powerful,
dense winds [2].
"Astronomers have thought for a while that conditions within these outflows could be
right for star formation, but no one has seen it actually happening as it's a very difficult
observation," comments team leader Roberto Maiolino from the University of Cambridge.
"Our results are exciting because they show unambiguously that stars are being created
inside these outflows."
The group set out to study stars in the outflow directly, as well as the gas that surrounds
them.
By using two of the world-leading VLT spectroscopic instruments, MUSE and X-shooter, they could
carry out a very detailed study of the properties of the emitted light to determine its source.
Radiation from young stars is known to cause nearby gas clouds to glow in a particular
way.
The extreme sensitivity of X-shooter allowed the team to rule out other possible causes
of this illumination, including gas shocks or the active nucleus of the galaxy.
The group then made an unmistakable direct detection of an infant stellar population
in the outflow.
These stars are thought to be less than a few tens of millions of years old, and preliminary
analysis suggests that they are hotter and brighter than stars formed in less extreme
environments such as the galactic disc.
As further evidence, the astronomers also determined the motion and velocity of these
stars.
The light from most of the region's stars indicates that they are travelling at very
large velocities away from the galaxy centre -- as would make sense for objects caught
in a stream of fast-moving material.
Co-author Helen Russell (Institute of Astronomy, Cambridge, UK) expands: "The stars that form
in the wind close to the galaxy centre might slow down and even start heading back inwards,
but the stars that form further out in the flow experience less deceleration and can
even fly off out of the galaxy altogether."
The discovery provides new and exciting information that could better our understanding of some
astrophysics, including how certain galaxies obtain their shapes [4]; how intergalactic
space becomes enriched with heavy elements; and even from where unexplained cosmic infrared
background radiation may arise.
Maiolino is excited for the future: "If star formation is really occurring in most galactic
outflows, as some theories predict, then this would provide a completely new scenario for
our understanding of galaxy evolution."

MY TRIP TO GERMANY WITH ASUS! - Duration: 7:23.
Hi guys! Good morning from Cologne, Germany.
Asus said that I could do a life swap with a girl here.
We've been filming some videos which are going to be on the Asus channel.
I've got my Asus ZenBook 3.
Look how thin that is.
It's literally so thin.
It's really light.
I'm carrying this with me the whole day.
It's got an amazing battery life and to be honest,
what I like the most is that is it just...
looks amazing like, look at that royal blue.
Asus. In search of incredible.
That is why we're here in Cologne.
So for this life swap, I've actually been set a number of challenges...
by a YouTuber, Mary M. here so I'm going to go straight to them.
So, my first challenge on this incredible life swap...
was to get carnival ready.
It's something that the locals always do so I had to get involved.
*** currently holding my camera while I put on one of these outfits.
Which is like a carnival outfit which is very exciting.
So, it might seem strange to some but Mary set me this challenge...
because it's actually a local tradition...
and a lot of people wear...
carnival outfits on a regular basis...
because this is how they like to celebrate.
Feel like I should go like this...
You like it?
Okay. Would you like that, maybe?
So, my next challenge was actually to mix my own perfume at 4711.
Which is famous for it's original cologne.
Kind of named after the city.
I didn't get a chance to make my own perfume.
I had a really good opportunity to mix up scents...
and learn more about frangrances.
Let me show you some smells.
- Yeah. - Yes, that smells like that.
Vanilla.
It's my favourite. I love it.
Although, this was definitely something new and also it was...
a challenge that brought me out of my comfort zone.
I had to be a barmaid for the evening.
Pouring beer looks a lot harder than it looks.
And the local Kolsch beer here is a favourite.
But I had a good teacher and finally got the hang of it.
I then ended up being upgraded and pouring beer at a bigger bar.
And actually serving customers which was really kind of crazy.
Especially because they were in their carnival wear.
Today, we are going to the chocolate museum.
Okay. So, my next day in Cologne...
was the start of the food challenges.
I had my Asus.
I had it charged overnight...
and it has a very long life battery, over eight hours...
and it was preparing me to find out more about chocolate.
To be honest, the food challenge is probably my favourite...
and the easiest because I love chocolate.
50% of cocoa is created in West Africa.
But the bean was originally from here.
This is basically meant to be a tropical environment
and that is what it would be like where they grow it.
This is my third one people. This is my third, hot chocolate, gooey...
However, Mary M. switched up a little bit
and I tried a local dish called currywurst.
I have had this once before but never really like this.
It's basically a sausage with ketchup and curry powder on it.
This is spicy.
I like it.
Get a little bit of the sauce and the powder.
So, I was pleasantly surprised by the currywurst.
The sausage is definitely different to sausage here.
Ketchup and curry powder. A weird combination but overall,
I liked it. And yes, I had my Asus ZenBook 3 sitting right next to me.
It's ultra thin, ultra light. 910 grams.
Easy to put in my bag and great for researching
what food I was actually going to eat next.
And then, we went very Cologne...
and had the local dish called Heaven on Earth.
It's not a smell I've ever smelt before but...
it doesn't smell bad. It smells good.
And I like...
And that is mash pudding.
Yes. and lets us put right here and you see.
And is this crispy bacon on the top?
Oh no. That's the roasted onion on the top.
Roasted onion. Okay, lovely.
So, you want to try it.
That was my favourite.
Very good. And is this gravy?
Oh, and that is the *** sauce.
It's a very special sauce in this house...
is because it's with beer on top.
- That is really nice. - Yes.
Mashed potato.
Lovely.
Right. Let's go with the black pudding.
Delicious! I don't hate it.
It's not bad.
It's very good, yeah. And it's black,
and that's loaf, light of the earth.
I'll try the crispy onions.
I should find a small piece.
A small one.
It looks really big.
Trying to look cute while I eat, okay.
They're like sweet and crispy and crunchy.
- This is good. - Very good.
This is definitely very good.
It look very good.
You can definitely taste everything.
Yeah, did anyone ever like mash it all up together?
Yes, most people would mash it up so you want to do this?
- Really? - Ya.
But it's still people from Cologne part.
Oh, okay fine.
But no. I like it separate like this.
But yeah. That's good to know.
Thank you for letting me try this.
Well, that is it guys.
I am done in my experience in Cologne...
and I definitely, in this challenge,
did some things that I hadn't done before.
But as the whole thing says, "Incredible is now",
and it's definitely worth it, trying something different.
So, we are at the airport now.
Cologne was definitely an incredible experience.
We're only in here for a short while.
So, if you guys want to see more stuff...
from like my stuff that I filmed with Asus,
I'll have it linked so you guys can check that out.
But in the mean time, I will see you guys later.
Bye!

Weekly Torah Portion: Vayikra - Duration: 20:34.
Shalom. This week we begin the third book of the Torah, Sefer VaYikra, 'and He Called,'
known as Leviticus, and this week's Torah portion is the first parasha, parashat VaYikra.
We
always face a challenge when we begin the book of Vayikra again. For many of us it's
difficult
to relate to, to identify with, to appreciate. Granted there must be beautiful symbolism
and
allegorical meaning, but can the Torah seriously expect us to bring animal sacrifices in our
day
and age? Many, who confess sincere belief in the eternity and Divinity of Torah, find
themselves
facing a difficult conundrum. If indeed we believe the Torah is Divine, and immutable,
and will
not be substituted or changed, then indeed how do we deal with the whole business of
the
Temple offerings. Korbonot. Mistranslated terribly as sacrifices. But if it's just
a history lesson,
fine. Well as you know the Torah is not a history book. So if we have a hard time accepting
these
instructions for the Holy Temple that we will now be learning so much about, of Torah, do
we
have a problem? I call this the Vayikra challenge. And you know, children traditionally begin
their Torah study career with this book. Not at Genesis but at Leviticus. As our sages
state, let
the pure come and occupy themselves with the pure. If only we could start over again as
innocent
as little children. Since they are not jaded or prejudiced by the world yet, they are unfettered
by
disbelief. They can still take Hashem at His word, wide eyed, wondrous, ready to receive,
not yet
sophisticated enough to know that they can dictate reality on their terms.
The first two verses of our parasha begin,
"And He called to Moses, and the Lord spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,
Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: When a man from [among] you brings an
offering to Hashem; from animals, from cattle or from the flock you shall bring your offering."
Who called to Moses? It doesn't say. The language is awkward, the way the phrases are
broken
up….He called to Moses, that's Hashem alright, but what did He say? The verse doesn't
tell us
what G-d communicated to Moshe in this initial calling. Then the verse goes on to say, what
Hashem did say to Moshe from the Tent of Meeting…Speak to the children of Israel, etc.
So from the get-go here, Hashem is sort of hidden. The speaker at first is not identified
and
neither was the speaking. Rashi explains on the words, "And He called to Moses: The
[Divine]
voice emanated and reached Moses' ears, while all [the rest] of Israel did not hear
it. And Rashi
explains that what is the purpose of these subsections? To give Moses a pause, to contemplate
between one passage and the next, and between one subject and another. [And if this pause
for
contemplation was given to the great Moses when being taught by God, then] how much more
[necessary is it] for an ordinary man learning [Torah] from another ordinary man [to be allowed
pauses between sections and subjects, to carefully contemplate and understand the material being
learned]. So I already know two things: That no one else could hear this, and there is
a lot to
contemplate. What does this mean this, this calling that only Moshe could hear, and he
in turn
gave over G-d's words to everyone. What is it about these concepts that need to be
communicated in this manner?
This book is about our world. For many people what
it communicates is not easy to hear,
because hearing it, really hearing it, requires taking responsibility. This book is about
the
difference between human beings and animals. If all
the Torah's mitvot can be correctly defined
as advice, then this book conveys cautionary advice to aid a man in becoming a man and
not
becoming a lust driven, sadistic killer. This book is about the tikkun of human beings being
created in G-d's image; it's about eternity of life, and it's about remaining ever sensitive
to the
sanctity of life. As we learn from Perek shirah, the esoteric prayer recited daily by the very
pious
which recounts the songs of praise to G-d uttered by every aspect of creation….through
man all
forces come together and can be uplifted….or destroyed, as we see all around us. .
Everything's been leading up to this point. Now that Israel is out of Egypt, and 'settled,'
its time
to fulfill what we were taken out for, and that is…to serve Hashem. This is our preoccupation,
this is the plan,. this is our life's work, what we will be doing now….constantly serving
Hashem.
But what is that, exactly? How do we serve Hashem? By ritual and symbolism? By 'sacrificing'
animals? No. …don't you see the total misunderstanding…it's not about " serving"
Him making
Him happy, mollifying Him, placating Him…the service, the avoda, of Hashem, regarding which
the sages teach that the world rests on three pillars, Torah, Avoda, and acts of loving
kindness,
this serving is about the constant intense introspective wrenching work of becoming and
staying
a human being…and this must be such a full time job, such an important thing, so hard,
so
difficult, because it is so emphasized in the Torah, its why G-d chose to have an abode
below, a
place to rest His presence, its why we are supposed to build this in the first place.
So rather than
start from a place that we are so smart and advanced and sophisticated, we open up hearts,
maybe I am primitive, outdated, because my head is primitive and outdated, because the
prism
through which I view the world is me alone, my needs, drives, desires, and most importantly,
what makes me comfortable. Comes along Sefer Vayikra, beginning with a still small call, that
takes us completely out of our comfort zone. Torah is constantly pushing us not to plunge
into
the abyss, not to be swallowed up, but to stay human and sensitive. Given the preeminence
of
this issue we can surmise that the danger of a man becoming an animal must be a very
serious
problem indeed….it is not relevant than why is the world more violent than ever before,
why is
there less reverence for life than ever before, why is there less of a differentiation between
man
and beast than before?
This book is not about the slaughter of animals. The offerings Hashem enumerates here
demonstrate the greatest reverence for life. Vayikra is the primary sourcebook of Hashem's
kindness, compassion and mercy, as demonstrated by the consistent and exclusive use of …His
name….Hashem's name, YHVH, the name of mercy, is the only one that appears in this
book.
Every word expressed by G-d concerning the korbonot, the offerings, the closeness makers,
is an
outpouring of kindness.
So G-d's will was for Israel to construct the tabernacle for His presence, so that His
purpose in
creation and in the creation of man would be fulfilled. Every detail of this home for
G-d conveys
awesome secrets, every detail and its own specific tikkun…this was to be the place
for the
indwelling of His Shechina…:And they shall make for Me a sanctuary and I will dwell amongh
them..' From here, G-d's holiness would flow out to all the world, in a way that would
enable all
those who yearn and desire to attach to that holiness, to do so…and when the work was
all
finished, as we are told at the conclusion of parashat Pekudei, 'and Moshe finished
all the work,
and the glory of Hashem filled the tabernacle'
And it is at the point when Hashem's presence filled this special place…that our third
book of
the Torah, sefer Vayikra, begins…how does it begin….He gives us the first word….the
first
dibor…statement….and the statement is, 'When a man will offer from among you, an
offering to
H…. It doesn't say, a man from among you, when he offers, but rather, when a man offers
from
among you, because Hashem wants us to make the lower arousal, the first move…that we
should
be inspired, motivated to want to come close to Him….this is the meaning of the word
mikem,
that the desire should be ours….and this dibor is in the language of and He called
to
Moseh….with an aleph at the end of the word….(moshe is at the receiving end)…at matan torah,
the first dibor also was with an aleph….but at the beg of the letter…this
one at the end…the
alpeh represents the alufu, the master of the world, the source of all holiness….the
aleph at
matain torah represents the Creator who brings forth everything….at the Sinai Revelation
the
aleph was at the beginning of the word, at the beginning of the word, because the arousal
was
from above, up to down….but the first dibor, emanating from the holiness of the tabernacle…it's
the word 'and he called', with the aleph at the end ...to show the connection, that
this holiness
comes from the previous….from the holiness of the aleph of the alufu shel olam….and
that's,
and he called to moshe. This is the continuation of Sinai.
Open up your heart. No commandment was given at the beginning of this parasha, of the
korbonot, only 'when a person offers'…like, mashma, when you want do, ok, according to
all
these details….in other words, it always has to start with a man's recognition of
himself and his
desire to want to elevate himself and get closer…the lower arousal….
This parasha gives over to Moshe, instructions for him to give over to all of Israel, the
details of
how to bring offerings in the Tabernacle, later to become the Holy Temple. There are
many
different offerings that are described here: Burnt offerings of cattle, of smaller animals,
of birds,
meal offering, baked offering, pan offering, deep fried, first grain, peace offering of
cattle, of
sheep, of goats, sin offerings, guilt offerings, misappropriation offerings…there is a lot
to learn
here….
The whole concept of the korbonot is based on the understanding that Hashem Himself is
the
merciful One, He is the definition of mercy…He is merciful on all creation, and its all about
and
for man. In the Temple, G-d renews man's spirit and dignity and inspiration in his
heart, despite
all that he has been through, he throws him a rope, so he does not fall into despair,
sink into
hopelessness, in His great mercy Hashem arouses him from his slumber, and inspires him with
a
new desire to draw close, in a relationship based on the G-dly image of mercy, of being
merciful
to man (ever notice how sometimes people that are very merciful to animals are very cruel
to
man), through the briniging of an offering by the holy and pure kohanim, they are the
messengers of the comapssionatie one to have mercy on his creations, to draw them close
to
him….Adam ki yakriv….So how can we be like the beautiful little children who begin
their first
experience of Torah study with the book of Vayikra, the little children who like Moshe,
hear the
call coming from the Tent of Meeting. Maybe for the rest of us, maybe what we need is
a sort of
….Its sort of like the concept of the suspension of disbelief . The term suspension of disbelief or
willing suspension of disbelief has been defined as a willingness to suspend one's
critical
faculties and believe the unbelievable. The term was coined in 1817 by the poet and aesthetic
philosopher Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who suggested that if a writer could infuse a
"human
interest and a semblance of truth" into a fantastic tale, the reader would suspend
judgement
concerning the implausibility of the narrative. Well Hashem's Torah is no fantastic tale.
But
maybe if we could only suspend our disbelief long enough to remember that no matter how
hard
it is for us to swallow, Hashem beliefs in us, and never suspends that belief, and it
was on
account of his belief in man that he created the world and sought to have an abode here.
Maybe if
we can suspend our disbelief we can understand that understanding the concepts of the Book
of
Leviticus are the key to understanding the nature of the G-dly soul that the Creator
of all life
entrusted to man, hoping – suspending His disbelief – hoping that we would shine it
up, and be a
reflection of His Divine light in this world, by rising above our own base, animal instincts,
and
by constantly refining the gift of our humanity, by accepting our responsibility to become
Adam,
by drawing close to the Aleph, the Alufu shel olam, the Master of the World. Vayikra, the
whole
sefer starts with that call. Who can hear the call? Adam, become
a man. A human being.

who do you want to determine your future
you or someone else? well of course you
want to be the one in control of your
future, but is it going to happen? I mean
is it going to happen just because you
hope it does or you're going to have to
attack it with every bone in your body
to succeed? I mean look I know
what I'm doing about my future do you?
like the founding fathers who wrote the
Declaration of Independence some 240
years ago in Independence Hall right
behind me, I'm in control of my destiny
and you can be too. here's five key areas
you can attack right now to guarantee
your future success. Number 1: develop
your vision. what is your dream what is
your why, it's big picture thinking. What
is your big picture thinking? Number 2
set goals. Whether it's short, medium or
long term goals it gives you a target, if
you shoot at nothing, you will hit
nothing with amazing accuracy. Number
3 create a plan to achieve your
goals. Without a roadmap you will never
succeed. Your plan is your roadmap for
success. And Number 4: Daily execution.
Take those goals and the
written plan and just execute it. It's
all about action. Action creates
motivation, motivation creates
inspiration, and that's when you're going
to start determining, determining your
future. Number 5: Evaluate and
adjust, and repeat. Evaluate what worked
make adjustments when you need to, and
repeat it every single month. The moment
you're fully committed to your vision
and your dreams, and you take action, and
start moving toward them, that is the
moment that you will, you will be in
control of, you'll be in control your
future, and that's the moment that your
station in life will improve. The future is
ours. Let's go get it

Are you ready?
I can't wait!
Wait for what?
I do not know, but there is always something funny,
weird or strange to talk about on the Fred Wild News.
So true. Let's get this started!
------ introduction-----
Hello, Welcome to the Fred Wild News
We are so glad to have you.
So we've talked about blue poisonous frogs.
That was cool.
And we talked about super kangaroo's, Harry Potter ...
Oh! Don't forget we talked about whale poop in perfume.
Yeah if you missed it, you should go back and watch it.
Ah fun times, fun times.
But today we're going to take a break ..
No, come on we have to do something funny - look our
audience demands we be funny.
Ok - how about a few jokes and maybe some interesting riddles.
Me first - let me go first.
Go ahead - let's see if we can make them laugh.
You know how people call the bathroom - the john.
Yeah and so?
Well instead of "the John," I call my toilet "the Jim."
Now why would you call the toilet "Jim"?
It sounds better when I say "I go to the
'Jim' first thing every morning.
--pause--
I think we can be funnier than that. Lets
stick with one liners for now.
ok... What did one tonsil say to the other tonsil?
What did one tonsil say to the other?
Better get dressed. The docs taking us out tonight!

It's because of All those fans.

I'm sorry lets give one more joke.
Why should you never trust a pig with a secret?
I don't know. Why should you never trust a pig with a secret?

moving on.. a wife asked her husband: "How would you describe me?"
Husband answered: "A B C D E F G H I J K."
Wife asked: "What does that mean?"
Husband replies: "Adorable, beautiful, cute,
delightful, elegant, fashionable, gorgeous, and hot."
The Wife blushes and says: "Aw, thank you, but what about I J K?"
Husband says: "I'm just kidding!"
You see, those are the kinds of jokes that always
gets Mr. Medina in trouble with his wife.

If you like our show and we know you do.
Please give us a like, a thumbs up and subscribe to our channel.
Oh! Dont forget to press that bell thingy so you
can be notified about any new videos.
We hope you liked our jokes. But how about a riddle?
Riddle me this: --pause-- Poor people have it.
Rich people do not lack for it.
If you eat it, you die.
What is it?
And the answer is: --pause -- Nothing
I don't get it.
Nothing... like poor people have nothing. Rich
people have everything so they do not lack and well
if you have nothing to eat...
Oh, I get it. But still, a bit morbid for a kids show.
Well Mr. Medina writes the scripts and I think he may
have issues (make sign for crazy).
Here is a riddle we would like you to sloav... giggling - please stand bye
Here is a riddle we would like you to solve.
If you think you know the answer - please, please write
it down below in the comment section.
Come on, you know you want to show off how smart you are.
And if you are a teacher, this is a good time to activate
your students brain cells...
As well as have some group participation.
Are you ready?
Here goes.

What am I?

A riser is often used to increase the tention in a buildup towards a drop for example.
They are used in all kinds of genres, and is one of many tricks used to make a track
more powerful.
It's all about tention and release.
You can use any synth this.
I like to use a typical saw sound.
Make a pattern, and then make a long note, like this.
Click here to increase the range, and then right click on the pitch knob and select "create
automation clip".
Now it should increase in pitch.
If you want it to decrease instead, just do the opposite.
You may experience that the pitch range is limited.
In that case you have to increase it in the synth itself.
I used spire, and in this case we can change the range here to make it go higher.
Most synths will have an option like this.
It doesn't have to be a held note, you can make a more rhythmic riser too.
Just use your imagination, there's a lot
of possibilities.

With the Moto G5 Plus launch done and over with, Lenovo is bringing the Moto G5 to India.
Motorola's parent company has announced that it will host the Moto G5 India launch
on April 4, and has started sending media invites for the same. The Moto G5 India
launch will coincide with that of Sony Xperia XZs.
Moto G5 will be exclusive on Amazon: Unlike its sibling, which is exclusive to Flipkart,
the upcoming Moto G5 will be sold exclusively on Amazon India, and is confirmed to go on
sale in India at 12am IST on April 5. Special Moto G5 launch offers will be provided to
Amazon Prime customers in the country, though they are yet to be detailed.
Moto G5 price in India: The Moto G5 is the smaller variant of the Moto G5 Plus with many
differences in specifications as well. The device will presumably be cheaper than
the Moto G5 Plus, which was launched in India for Rs. 14,999 for the 3GB RAM+16GB storage
variants, and Rs. 16,999 for the 4GB RAM+32GB storage variant. Official price and availability
details will be announced at the April 4 event. Both the smartphones were first
unveiled at MWC in Barcelona. At a price point lower than that of Moto G5 Plus,
the upcoming Moto G5 will come in direct competition with the popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
Moto G5 specifications: Moto G5 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and was unveiled
in Lunar Grey, and Fine Gold colour variants. The smartphone features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920
pixels) display and be powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor. It offers
2GB or 3GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, with the option to expand further
via a a microSD card slot(up to 128GB). The Moto G5 packs a 2800mAh removable battery
with support for fast charging. As for optics, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel rear
camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front
camera for selfies.
The Moto G5 comes with a fingerprint scanner in the front underneath the Home Button. However,
the big highlight is that the device integrates Google Assistant, a feature first
exclusive only to the Pixel devices. Just like the Moto G5 Plus, it comes with
Motorola-exclusive features such as Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture, and a One Button Nav
mode that lets users navigate the interface with swipes on the fingerprint scanner.
