WEDDING PLANS | We've set a date! - Duration: 3:41.

Hello! Today I thought I would tell you a little bit about where we are with our weddingplanning.

Because now it's... almost... Is it almost 6 months ago?

Round about six months since we got engaged.

And now we've actually today booked our reception venue.

And that was actually one of the things on my bucket list I'm just realizing!

So in that sense we can actually add a little 'tick' to that!

We have booked the perfect venue to have our wedding reception.

So we had been to see this place already once earlier this summer

we were pretty sure then already that this will the place

because it's very close to where the ceremony will take place

So we'll have the ceremony here, where I'm filming this now.

I mean, not in this room but in these surroundings.

So we found a place that's quite close to here and it's quite small but we wanted a pretty small wedding

So I think it's going to suit us well

We went there again today, we wanted to check the prices and confirm a little this and that

So we went there with my sisters and Dave.

One of my sisters is my maid of honour and the other one is a bridesmaid

They approved of the place and everyone thought it seemed quite good

So we have now officially booked it.

And because of that we've actually now set a date

Because until now we've kind of been like 'we don't know the date for the wedding, it all depends on the venue'

Since the ceremony will take place at our summer house the date doesn't really matter for us

It's not like we need to book a church.

So now since we finally booked the venue it means that we've set the date.

Which is a pretty major thing I guess

I think quite a lot's still gonna happen this summer with regards to planning and booking of certain things

Which is kind of crazy that you need to do it a year in advance but that's the way you apparently need to do it.

It's strange because the whole spring we've kind of... Okay, so when we got engaged, for a couple of weeks

I was kind of like 'oooh, we're getting married', oooh looking at Pinterest

But then we like kind of forgot about the whole thing; we talked very little about it

It felt like it was so far away, we were in London and it was over a year to go

So there wasn't much to talk about at that stage.

But now that we're here and I'm at the location every day

It's naturally in our minds all the time, for instance every time I see the place where the ceremony will be

you get reminded of it.

So that's why it's been on my mind quite a lot and I think that's okay because now we have time

We have time to think about stuff, I have time to research this and that.

But then when we go back to London I don't know what's gonna happen with my work situation

so I think it's good to have had this time now

I think when we go back to London we'll forget about all this, put it on ice for 6 months

Because then all the most important stuff will be booked like catering, venue, hair&makeup, photographer

all of that will be booked by the end of the summer

and then we'll send out some save the dates and that's that for many months.

and then we can just think about other stuff which will probably be quite nice.

But it's been quite fun, it's been fun to think about how we could make the day as personal as we can

Make it feel like us; simple but personal and cosy... all the positive words!

But anyway, this was just a little one year ahead of the wedding update

There might a few more every three months... or six months

But I thought since quite a few of you have said that you're interested in hearing how the planning is going

and what we've decided and so on.

Hello everyone, today I will test these three makeup tools.

These are Eyebrow Stencil Drawing Guide Cards

This is Mascara Applicator Guide Tool

I will mention both of the advantages and limitations of these products today.

The third one is Lace Double Eyelid Tape.

It is more lightweight than the traditional double eyelid tape.

First let's look at the Mascara Applicator Guide Tool,

I feel it is very helpful for top eyelashes.

.We can try to brush them up without worrying about smudging mascara on the eyelid to make eye makeup dirty.

Also the small comb can help tidy eyelashes.

For lower lashes, it can help,

but not for short lower eyelashes,

because short lower lashes can not touch the board,it may even mess the makeup.

It is the first time I try these products.

This is the final effect.

Then let's move to lace double eyelid tape.

This color is quite invisible on my skin.

Now I would like to talk about other types of double eyelid tape.

This was quite common traditional tape, a bit thick.

This is improved version, skin color and thinner,

which was used in my previous make up tutorial videos.

Let's see some comparisons. I have applied earth tone eyeshadow on the back of my hand.

First try the traditional eyelid tape.

It's very easy to apply it after cutting the shape.

But it looks quite obvious.

Then the skin colour tape

it's quite invisible,

but the texture of the skin is covered.

These two types of eyelid tape are easy to apply for beginners

Then the lace tape.

I need to put it on a card, then apply anti-allergic eyelash glue on one side.

This is something extra to do before apply it on the eyelid.

Make sure the glue is even.

It's not as easy as the other eyelid tape, because it is really lightweight,

and then gently press it.

We know our eyelid skin will move when we make facial expressions.I push my skin,

you can see that the top two kinds of tape will not follow the skin texture ,

look very obvious,

so it is easy to be seen on the eyelid.

Then we look at the lace double eyelid tape,

which will move with the skin texture, look more natural.

The comparison result is obvious

When we want to re-apply the tape if we are not happy with the result.

I tear off the first two kinds of tape,

you can see, eyeshadow was taken away,

there is a obvious blank.

I try to use eye shadow brush to fill the eyeshadow blank,

you can see,it's very hard.

Then I tear off the lace eyelid tape.

There is no obvious blank.

One thing I would like to mention,

in the process of removing makeup, better not tear off the tape,

We can use cotton bud or makeup cotton dipped in the eye makeup remover,

and then soften the glue part little by little.

Tearing off them directly may accelerate the process of aging.

Need to be more gentle on the eyelid.

Now I will test on my eyes,

This eye for lace double eyelid tape,

it is quite invisible, looks natural.

The other eye is with traditional double eyelid tape,

people can easily see the tape when I blink my eye.

Then look at Eyebrow Stencil Drawing Guide Cards,

I chose this shape.Align with the inner eyebrow.

Just hold the card tightly to stick on skin because our brow bone is not as flat as the card.

This is my first time to try the stencil let's see how it will look like.

I define the arch first, to get the highest point,

you see I did one wrong stroke out of the stencil because I didnt hold it tightly enough.

When finish the outline,

we can take the card away and fill eyebrow color,

you can see the colour gaps

just follow the hair texture without the stencil.

I think a lot of people have used eyebrow stencil cards, hope that you can leave a message to share your experience.

Eyebrow makeup looks very natural by filling colour without changing the eyebrow hair texture,

Use the brush to tidy up hair texture

and the edge.

I'm wondering if there is a big difference between the eyebrow makeup I did today and before.

This is the result of my first time trying the eyebrow stencil.
