Studying Sociology now is important because... because change has happened.

Because it's possible, right, the fact that I am here, just to start, like a

Mexican lecturer black woman in Cambridge is already a sign of change,

I think one of the jobs of Sociology, if you read Mills,

you would say our task is to kind of explore with students how can they

develop their sociological imagination

and how can they make personal problems or

little problems, individual problems, connected to big social, you know, big things.

So, how you connect the personal with the public, the social, right.

So to make those links, what I found that is really important is to tap into the

personal resistances that we might have to learn a particular thing either - and

that is, for example, not finding something relevant has to do more,

says more, about ourselves than of the subject itself. And it says more that

maybe it makes us uncomfortable, maybe we think of ourselves too big and we think

we should be concerned about things that are disconnected, or is just too painful

for us to be dealing with. Actually, I start my lecture telling - my series of

lectures saying we're going to sign an agreement here, like we need to agree

that we're going to have discussions that are going to be uncomfortable but

that we're going to need to speak and that that's the deal here. If we don't

talk here, where are we going to talk about this issues? When we hear

racist things and we read these very difficult descriptions of people, when we see

images of lynching or we see images of a man being beaten up or a woman hanging

or... you know, those things are really kind of - they stick to us and they do things

to us, you know. So what I do when there thinks these

things happen, and throughout my teaching, is to make them talk about those

feelings. And because it might seem weird, you know, in a teaching environment where

you're just like 'oh, here are the facts and here's information processes, these are

the tools to analyze it, go home now,' I'm more like 'I want you to be able to think

and to think, you know, we need to not be so stressed and use those barriers and

those feelings to cover up our process of thinking and engaging.

It's a very specific method whereby she asks us to talk to the person next to us and speak

uninterrupted for two minutes and listened entirely to that person.

And then it's the other person's turn to speak uninterrupted for two minutes.

And you'd be surprised at how it feels to speak and know that person's listening

for two whole minutes, which is actually quite rare and it allows you to now all kind of

emotions that have been incited by the, kind of, the shocking nature of historic

racism or contemporary racism.

So, for example, in Soc 3 I teach on three topics

a module within the course called body project, the body project - so, their global

body project. So basically I try to bring issues of

cosmetic surgery, sex tourism, and beauty pageants...

And those three topics allow me to explore with them issues

around intersectionality, the situation of women, debates around feminism that are

tackling this this particular issues and how they cross nations and how they

connect people and power relations in different ways.

I just want students to be critical, right, basically, to have a sociological

imagination that allows them to engage with social issues and problems.

I mean, one of the things I do say to them is that I study Sociology because I'm very angry

and I want them to be as well, angry, so that that criticality makes them

engage with things and realize why they are not sustainable or why they have to

change, right. So I'm not here - we can't enjoy reading about disasters in the

world. No, I don't enjoy it at all. It makes me very... yeah, angry. And in that sense

it's an anger that I wanted to be productive, right, and that's what I want

them to be thinking, you know, we need to know why it matters, why these issues

are important and then you have to go on and do something about them, basically.

Sex appeal Makeup by Yui Minakata【with Englaish Sub】｜透明感がポイント！大人おフェロメイク【皆方由衣】 - Duration: 10:09.

I want to make it mature looking

Since it is a sex appeal makeup, I'm using dark ones of pink and purple

I am using these two colors

Hello everyone, I'm Yui Minakata a.k.a, Minayui

This time I'm trying out the mature sex appeal makeup

The sexy makeup was quite popular until now,

but I am trying out the evolved version of the mature sex appeal makeup

so please check it out

so let's start

The color contacts this time was in green

I chose the green to give the face a more porcelain look

Adding the base

IPSA pure control in blue

This is also to give the whole face the porcelain look

so adding the blue colored base to the the whole face

Adding RMK gel creamy foundation

This is what I always use

Since I had used something different for the base,

so to give that porcelain look more, spreading it thin and wide

Next is the concealer

This is my usual one from Menard

It's a brush type so it spreads well and covers well

so adding to the dark circles under the eyes,

and I am spreading it with my fingers

Next is mix blush compact from Jill Stuart

It's is a blush

Mixing the two dark colors on the bottom,

and adding to the middle and little below

Since it's a mature sex appeal, the sexiness comes out from within

so adding the blush before adding the powder

Next is the face powder from Cosme D'corte

Since I did add the blush, and I do want the porcelain look

so this powder would go on less than usual

and applying it thoroughly

Next is the eyebrows done with K-Palette

This one is the brush type so it doesn't come off so it is good

For the shape, I usually have it parallel and then go down

Having that in mind, but holding the image of more droopiness this time and applying

Making it thin all over but especially in the tip

Next is the eyebrows mascara from heavy rotation

This one I use quite often

Making it evenly colored, and making the balance of both sides well

Next is the eye shadow from BABY

This is actually a bluish gray color

As the glitter is really beautiful on this,

It gives the porcelain look, as the shadow was in blue,

so to align that with this blue grayish color eyeshadow

adding this to the whole eyelid

Sparkling Eye Gloss from Sweets Sweets

Since this is an eye gloss, it gives a good shine

It's an eyeshadow in a form of gloss

Since I wanted to show some moist to it, I'm using this one

For the previous one, I added to the whole eyelid,

but for this one it goes to the width of the double eyelid

and spread it out. Spread a bit and make it shine

Next is perfect stylist eyes from CanMake

Using number 14

The most left color to the outer corner of the top eyelid

and blend it in around till 1/3

and this second one to the bottom in the outer corner

and blend it in is what I'm doing

Usually I would do this in the brown color,

but since it's the sex appeal makeup, I'm using this purple and

and this pinkish dark color

Since this was a mature makeup, I wanted to use toned down pink

so I used these two colors

Next is using the eyeshadow from ADDICTION 0999

This is actually quite a popular pink

Since the glitter color comes out in this color as well,

so I like to use it

but for this time to give a unified look, as the blush was in pink

so spreading it out all over to give the unified look

and to make it look a bit bloated, I'm placing it on the eye bags as well

Next is adding the eyeliner from K-Palette

Using the one in brown

Since it's a mature sexual appeal makeup, and combined with the casual look

so I decided on using the brown liner

This time the outer corner goes long and droopy

I usually would give it wings at the end,

but for this time I am making it droopy as if flowing to the bottom

Using the no.14 eye shadow from CanMake again

The color to use is this darkest color in the bottom

Overlapping over the eyeliner added a while ago

and I had only added eyeliner to the outer corner,

so as to connect the two up to the inner corner

using the darkest color with the most thin brush

and stretching it like an eyeliner

By doing this it feels like it blends in with the eyes

which automatically becomes a sex appeal...which is only my image

I thought it will be like that so I did it

Next is using the mascara from Maybelline

Since the eyeliner is in brown, I wanted to use the mascara in brown as well

Since I didn't raise it up using eyelash curlers,

so I just gave some volume with this one with a lot of fiber

It's in brown, but since I wanted to show that I have eyelashes, I'm using the brown

I didn't use the eyelash curlers this time

one reason for that is I wanted to make it look mature

I personally had the image of looking sleepy so,

and didn't have an image of opening up either

so not using the eyelash curler

Next is the foundation from Integrate to cover the dark circles under the eyes

Since I wanted to have more of the porcelain look, I wanted to erase the dark circles

so I added this over it

The next is Lilou & Lena blush

The amazing thing is, just using like this will add all three colors to it

It gives a nice type of gradation

It has some pearl like particles in it so it gives a little shine as well

I thought it matches perfectly with sex appeal makeup

so I added right where the blush had gone on

Finally it's the lip gloss from RMK

Although this lip gloss is red, it's actually shines well

It's really pretty with a lot of small glitter inside it

For the glitter, since there is some bluish glitter in it

The first eyeshadow I applied is like this

and matching with the blue base, I decided on this color

It gives a lot of the porcelain look and shine so it is good

As it is the mature sex appeal makeup this time,

I did a little arrangement of the bangs this time

Taking about half of the volume of what I usually do,

You twist it and bring it to the back

and pinned it like this

With less hair, it gives a more of the sex appeal

but since I wanted to have more sex appeal,

Cocorogami essence oil from Apish

Adding this to give an overall shine

The bangs will have more to give it a shine

to give that wet looking hair

How was it everyone?

Mature sex appeal makeup

The key point this time is...

the blush

I add blush to the inside

The outside blush is for the shine

The bangs were given a shine to make it look wet

That is how the finish is done

"I'm not setting any big targets" – Danny Ings takes realistic approach to Liverpool return

Danny Ings has returned to pre-season training with Liverpool this week, but the striker remains cautious as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

Ings has spent the majority of his career with the Reds so far on the sidelines, after two serious knee problems in 2015/16 and 2016/17.

The 24-year-old has made 11 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, with his last coming in October, as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 win over Tottenham in the League Cup.

Spending the last nine months in recovery, Ings has proved his professionalism off the pitch, and is now closing in on a return to training with Jurgen Klopp's squad for pre-season.

However, speaking at Melwood on Wednesday, the striker stressed that he is still taking things slowly. "I'm doing really well at the moment. Timescale-wise, I'm unsure but I'm feeling closer and closer every day," he told LiverpoolFC.com.

"I'm back doing ball work. My fitness levels are getting back, it has been a while. I'm enjoying it and I'm feeling strong.

"If you dwell on things too long, you'll never make it back. You need to obviously be hurt for a while but then you need to get your head down, focus and crack on.

"That's always been my mentality. There wasn't really any other choice.".

Ings made his way back to Merseyside early this summer, undergoing individual training on the pitch at Melwood as he looks to catch up with his team-mates ahead of 2017/18.

He wasn't part of the group for outdoor fitness tests on the first day of pre-season, however, as there is still work to do before he can link up with the first-team squad.

There has been speculation over a possible loan move for the ex-Burnley forward, but Ings is simply focusing on making the next step at this stage.

"For now it's just to get as healthy as I can, get as strong as I can and get fit," he continued. "And to integrate with the lads as soon as possible and just build from there.

"I'm not setting any big targets. I'm trying to accomplish small things at a time. The next one is to integrate with the lads and get back involved.".

This is a sensible approach from Ings, who has seen his dream move to Merseyside curtailed by a pair of nightmare injuries, as targeting a swift return would be ill-advised.

Klopp remains an admirer of his No. 28, however, and it could be that later in pre-season he works his way back into the fold.

In my opinion nothing is as impressive as a great parfume.

The taste of chocolate may do that but not the smell.

Unless you are like the lady version of the cookie monster, the chocolate monster and

you got some crazy insane lady powers and you can smell chocolate.

Anyway today I was standing in my bathroom ready to get my game on.

You know Wash, scrub, shave, lotion, brush teeth and

get my contacts in and suddenly I was thinking to go for it again.

Yes again, it was that time again, the time to sprinkle some of that awesome stuff on

Let me tell you guys a little more about this wonderfull scent.

Personally I think this scent is such a wonderfull scent that no one

can resist buying once they smelled it.

But you don't have to smell it look at this bottle, the cover tells you how awesome the

story will be.

hey this bottle, this lovely bottle, wonderfull name by the way valentino,

who doesn't want to be a valentino right right and

again this lovely smell that goes along with it!

It's just fantastic.

I'm telling you guys, get this scent & you will forever be in my debt.

Because you'll say dammmmmn why didn't I know about this earlier.

Anyway this scent is such a fine, delecate, detail scent that it'll blow most ladies out

of their socks.

You know those cute little hello kitty socks right... guess what kind of underwear goes

So Valentino, I got that scent for a present last year.

Luckily I was in the store with the buyer this time because earlier she picked out scents

for me without me being there and we had to get over the issue we have quite a big taste

difference as we figured out later.

But you know what, it doesn't matter if you don't have the same taste, as long as you

do nice things for each other and have a great time.

That is what truelly matters.

Alright having a great scent around you is important that's the base line to this story

folks.

But you ask me Seth when do you wear this lovely scent you are talking about.

And i'll tell you that I wear it in early autumn & late spring.

Altrough I love to wear it on a summerday or in the winter thou but personally I Identify

it more as a autumn & spring scent.

I think it has festivity & fertility to it.

Which in my opinion belong in the autmn & spring seasons.

In autumn because we can take home the harvest & spring because we can replant the crops

if you catch my drift ;)

Anyway this fragrance has such a rich, flaverous scent and just rieks of romance & intamacy

that I couldn't resist buying it.

I had the luck to get a bargain back than because I also got

a free aftershave lotion to go with it.

I've tried fragrances in the past which were fine but this one is certainly one i'll buy

again when i'm out of it.
