When You Start to Enjoy Being Alone, These 10 Things Will Happen

Earlier on the previous video, we have discussed some reasons on why people prefer to be alone.

There are 5 main reasons ranging from introversion, mental health, lacking of social skills, protective

walls, and possible lacking of social interest.

However, it is important to realize that some people actually prefer to be alone because

of personal choice.

They believe that being alone brings some unimaginable benefits that not all people

can obtain.

If you are wondering what they are talking about their benefits of being alone, there

are at least 10 things that make living alone a great solitary activity.

#1 - Recharging

What's so important about recharging anyway?

Basically people have some sort of social battery.

It depletes after some social interactions.

Both introverts and extroverts have similar battery, but introverts get their battery

depleted quicker than the extroverts.

When the battery is depleted, there are some problems that may occur ranging from nausea,

anxiety, fear, weakening, and confusion.

It also makes them feel depressed.

In order to recharge this social battery, one needs to stay away from the crowds.

They need a quiet place to recharge, so that they will miss the events with people.

This recharges the energy back, and it allows them to interact with others with better performance.

Introverts typically need more time to recharge than extroverts.

However, being alone is the best way to keep energy recharged.

#2 - You will reflect

Reflection is important especially to look at the real you from inside.

It is not you through the mirror, but rather a mental representation of yourself.

If you enjoy your time alone, you will understand how good you are or how poor you are in certain

position.

This will allow you to know yourself better and you absolutely can fix the faults you

have and improve what you already have.

#3 - Getting in touch with your emotion

When you are in a social setting, you are constantly thinking or experiencing what other

people have to offer.

You see what others do, feel, and think, and you forget that you also need attention.

Your emotion may need attention from you, and you only can do that through self-reflection

in private manner.

#4 - Doing things you enjoy

If you spare your time alone, there is no one who tells you to do things you don't

like.

Sometimes, you don't like your work because it is only to make money for surviving in

this harsh world.

You are getting tired, and you basically don't do what you enjoy.

Fortunately, you can enjoy what you do if you take your personal time.

#5 - Becoming more productive

It is possible because being alone reduces distraction to its finest.

Thus, it helps you to get your job done in quick succession.

#6 - You enjoy your relationship

Be it a relationship with nature, be it relationship with human being, be it a relationship with

objects, you will enjoy it more.

The reason being is that being alone offers a very slow time frame which you can use to

see the details, the beauty, and the emotion of the relationship.

Thus, relationship becomes more enjoyable.

#7 - Becoming more independent

It is no brainer that being alone gives you a perk to be independent.

Being alone gives you opportunity to do everything by yourself with the help of others.

Additionally, you also do not feel the need for constant interaction to make the job done.

#8 - You make yourself happy

Sometimes, you push yourself too hard to please people around you.

Fortunately, you don't have to do that especially if you finally take a day off.

#9 - You won't have to apologize

It is known that asking for forgiveness is not easy as it sounds.

It requires great effort, and it takes away energy so bad.

That is why it is essential to know that being alone reduces the chance for you to do that.

#10 - Stop looking for validation

Sometimes, it is essential to take people's consideration before doing anything.

It is also important to take some evaluations after doing something.

However, it turns out to not be a good habit because it prevents you from progressing faster.

All in all, that's all the 10 good things that will happen when you start to enjoy being

alone.

Really cool information isn't it?

DEXTRONCOIN - DEXTRON COIN FAIL !! - Duration: 5:40.

What's going on good people

This is Mike again with another video so a couple guys reached out to me asked me about dextran coin

So you know when I get more than two or three requests about a platform?

I'll take a look at it real quick

So I thought I would give you my opinion on this so stay tuned do not go anywhere

This is a new lending platform that has a 30 million total coin supply

The pre sell is already live seven days 22 hours for it to end the ico

Summary is as follows total. Supply is going to be 30 million

They're gonna sell fifteen million during the ico the website looks phenomenal. They have a lot of users already

I guess it's very popular

And they have some kind of raffle where the winner can win hundred thousand fifty thousand twenty thousand if you have

picture of a Visa card so that's possible they're gonna issue a Visa card and they do have their team listed and that's something very

unique with lending platform

You don't see that much

Where they show their pictures and they tell you about what they do so you gotta respect them for that they do have their Facebook

And LinkedIn all that stuff linked to it which is

Amazing let's look at their Alexa ranking just so we can see where they popular so it looks like they're very popular in France

Nigeria India Pakistan and then Turkey, this is a good ranking for a landing platform guys

They've done their advertising they've reached out to many people and many people actually reached out to me to see if that's a good

Platform while I'm not a financial advisor. I don't tell you what to do

I just look at them and assess the situation right so here's what I found out

This is their white paper white paper is wealth of information. I mean, it's very very detailed

Terms and condition do not sign up if you don't know the risk all that blah blah blah right get

Success and all that stuff, but I'm gonna share with you that the white paper is plagiarized okay

I'll just show you a couple examples because I know

I don't want to waste time on this so if you look right here. It says the website does offer subject to your acceptance and

ends from time to time on the side, then if you go to

urban free flow it

Says right here the website is offered subject your acceptance and it ends from time to time by the side now

Let me give you another example yeah, and there are a lot of examples

I'm not just gonna keep showing you, but I'll show you this here

We are committed to enriching society by delivering superior investment you go right here

That says we are committed to enriching society by delivering superior investments

And it ends with differences of opinion you go back to the white paper and ends with differences of opinion

It's exactly the same thing. There's a lot more and what I want to show you is like

Let's just take any paragraph right. I'm just gonna stop here. I'll take this one right here, and I will copy it

What I'm gonna show you is how they try to avoid plagiarism

Detection okay, so I just copied this I'm gonna open a word

And I was just gonna paste that now notice this

right

The t are missing the t is missing the t is missing the t is missing solutions, it's not missing right here

So solutions lottery for example question right if we go back

And i'll show you if you look question

So the t and eyes are not detected in that white paper when you copy i'm gonna give you another example

Let's just do this one right here. Okay, so remember the t and eyes

Cannot be copied. It's very clever

However, there is a way around it so

Watch this

edition

Only the t detected in their name their website name predicting

Revolution right it's missing the t and I

Potential TI

so that's how they try to avoid plagiarism, but I can keep going on and on and on and on and

I can show you that this thing has been plagiarized

Okay moving on let's look at their who is real quick

So they got their domain on twelve eleven twenty seventeen hands on 12 11 20 18

That's always a no-no we already looked at their election ranking. Let's look at their team real quick

So they say this guy right here his name is Charles

Managing director, and he's a highly motivated and enthusiastic

Individual with expertise hard working and approachable. I'm gonna show you who Charles really is so if you scroll down right here

Charles is actually mr.. Buckley, and he's a recruitment consultant, and this is his email

This is his phone number

so if your domain is for one year your white paper is played to rise and your team is definitely fake I

Have no faith in you that's shady business, so I'm gonna stay away from it you should too. I'm not a financial adviser

I don't tell you what to do

This is your business you decide what you want to do, but my message is don't get fooled by looks

Don't get fooled by

What they have to offer or what the white paper is saying all you have to do is just do a little research?

Do your due diligence and then make a decision accordingly like always guys? Thank you so much for watching

I appreciate you

Hit that subscribe button if you're not a subscriber

Hit that Bell right next to that subscribe button so I can keep these videos coming your way and until next time stay safe

19 year old built an airplane in 1928 - the S-1 Bożena [Vintage Sky] - Duration: 5:43.

He didn't subscribe....

This one did!

VINTAGE SKY

Hi. Today about an airplane built at such a farm.

The S-1 Bożena

built by Władysław Stelmaszyk.

As a 14 year old boy he began work at

"Samolot" works, building the Hanriot 28 biplanes.

He would work at all occupations:

as carpenter, iron-worker, technician and designer.

Eventually he wanted a plane of his own.

Supported by factory experts, he had to the actual work single-handed.

He got a loan to buy materials, which were expensive.

His aim was to make an airworthy craft.

This required certified wood and an engine.

"Samolot" factory had a 3-cyliner radial engine:

the French 35HP Anzani 3A2 motor.

They agreed to lend the engine

or to sell it.

Some say the price was 1500 złotych of the era

(7x the suit price from RWD-11 episode )

and some say it was not 1500 but 15000.

With LOPP organization and many experts' support

the plane was built at designer's father's household.

Upon completion in 1928 Władysław Stelmaszyk was 19,

he youngest plane constructor in Poland or even the World.

Plane was simple, with rectangular formers.

Rectangular wings were assembled with glue and nails.

It was covered with 0,8-2,5mm plywood

and clear paint coated.

"Bożena" - a Polish female name was written on the side.

On the tailplane was the name of

Ludomy Poznańskie - village were the plane was built.

Wings and tail had adjustable steel struts.

Landing gear had rubber-rope shock absorber, typical for the 1920's.

Bożena was test-flown by Józefat Skrzypek.

First flights lasted 15 minutes and 2 hours.

There were three more winter flights,

Bożena was fitted with skids.

Local authorities awarded designer with 30000 złotych prize.

He paid the loan and bought the engine.

Plane was later tested in Warsaw, and exhibited in a museum in Poznań.

Before the war plane returned to constructor's farm.

Occupants destroyed the airframe and stole the engine.

After the WWII Władysław Stelamszyk visited Kraków aviation museum.

He found no 1920's Polish plane there.

He decided to rebuild Bożena for the museum,

this time at Franciszek Stelmaszyk's household in Lipa.

Local authorities once again co-financed the project.

At that time everything required a dedicated committee,

so 9 committee members supervised the venture.

National aeroclub and the military helped gather materials.

Plywood had to be imported.

As a result the non-flying replica build took

1,5 year - half time more than pre-war airworthy plane build.

In 1975 Bożena replica was presented to Kraków exhibition,

today called the Polish Aviation Museum.

Act was signed by Marian Markowski - museum director.

Today a short street leading to the museum

is called Marian Markowski Street.

Few know who he was.

During my many visits to the museum I've never seen Bożena.

Now museum webpage does not list it

either as exhibit or plane in sotrage.

Before I show the S-1 Bożena technical data

please remeber to ring the bell icon,

to never miss Vintage Sky episodes

which don't come on regular basis now. Bye!

SPECIAL THANKS TO MR. EDEK AND MRS. KAZIA FOR ALLOWING ME TO USE THEIR PLACE FOR FILMING.

[The Real 100%] ♥HAPPY MINWOO DAY♥ - Random Gift Open - Duration: 7:00.

Why did we gather today?

Minwoo-hyung's birthday ...

It's his birthday.

So we prepared a birthday present.

One is a gift we prepared with real heart.

One was a little rough.

If I'm both a gift, is not that what I have?

If we just do this, it's not fun.

We are going to play a double bokbok game.

I will not give you two.

We're going to stick with a plate.

What is a bobblebug game?

You've seen a lot in one night and two days.

Oh, like a canary salsa?

Yeah! Eat something like that

I can not stand it really.

I'll admit that you won.

Recognized after acting

I do not mind

I will have everything.

However, even if the tongue tries to go up this much here,

Eat and taste ...

It might be.

It can be.

An example that does not ...

Just eating ...

I can not do this.

I'm not going to ...

But what do I do when I get stuck in my normal life?

Then it fails.

Sweets, sweets.

Cookies ~

(1 round Min Woo vs Chan)

One, two, three

Show me your chewing.

Is it funny?

Keep chewing!

Now, next

Is it delicious?

Do it later

I did not do it for three days.

Where does it smell like taco wasabi?

But my tears, now

no! Dry it, here!

OK! Then Minwoo-woo wins!

What happened?

Wasabi !!!

Did you smell wasabi?

Did not you have anything?

I do not know

Do not you know?

I was just a cookie.

No, the wasabi taste was definitely there.

Then you are not ...

Brother, was it one?

Yes, one!

Wasabi How many in here?

Five in?

You're likely to have eaten.

(2 rounds Minwoo vs Yonghwan)

I prepared rice balls for this time.

Listen to my logic once.

This is a very good one now.

Well, I have to cover something.

This is my heart.

No smell, no smell.

Did you smell it?

You should manage.

warning!

I smell before eating because it is a gourmet, originally!

It's a yellow card.

it's you?

What is this!

(Jelly blessing! I reject the wasabi!)

I am blessed.

But the taste is so weird.

It tastes like rice and jelly ..

What a blessing!

I was born like this and I try it first?

There's only wasabi in the rice.

I'm chewing this ...

I have Coco Palm! Coco palm

I'm going to get that taste!

I'm chewing rice.

As the smell of tropical fruit begins to fade

What the hell is this!

Ow, the smell!

(3 rounds Minwoo vs Yejin)

Now, I'll drink here.

Is it coffee? Please choose from afar

Wait

Look at my face and judge me.

I'm a little weak at this.

Oh, but I do not really know.

I think it mixed well with coffee.

I noticed Joanna's moment.

I saw it.

Oh, but I do not really know.

Then I have to mix it up.

Why! I just gave you a hint!

The colors are different.

I can not because I'm hot.

I can not eat hot.

What? what?

Oh, I can not.

It's salt water (won Ricardo soy sauce)

I am Americano.

Also..

It was going to be something in 2018.

done! Now your brother is winning.

So you're not giving it?

No! Why two of these?

One of them said, 'It's not for you.'

One is a gift like this one.

You can look at the phrases and choose something that will appeal to you.

Can I play it once?

I felt the sound of the air.

But my brother's got all his clothes on.

Here if you choose to bump!

If we say that, we are a real gift

I will never give it to you.

I'll pick you.

'It's not for you.'

I desire this.

I'll open it up first.

I thought you were good.

Can not I just shake it?

This is not my brother.

Oh, I did not do this well.

This is ...

I do not know if you would have expected it.

This is the real gift we originally prepared.

Was this real?

You have to take our gift.

But I can not take it anyway

I missed you.

I almost did not get it.

Oh right! Brother, you missed this.

We missed us.

I'm sorry.

This will make us open.

It is my gift and I have to open it!

Why!

Zajazan

I mean, this is a real gift.

Is not this what you need?

I need this.

This is the best

No, this is crazy!

This is not really necessary.

No, I do not need you.

I like this the best

That's what you give me, then?

I've prepared something for you.

No, brother.

He missed us by winning the game hard.

right! too bad

They missed us and took this nonsense handrail.

I'm sorry, but I want to have you.

I've never done it before.

Actually, this was a real gift.

Oh, really?

Bro, I'm really good.

It's a real gift.

Actually, there were more candidates than original ribbons.

Right.

Originally it was not this ribbon.

Insect picking tools

Gum, garlic and wormwood

Garlic and wormwood

What is garlic and wormwood!

And there was a shuttlecock.

Shuttlecock without badminton chan

Who thought this was?

The mirror is just like us all together

I see a lot of mirrors.

I know you really see a lot of mirrors.

There is no mirror in my house.

So I thought I wanted a mirror.

The mirror's a little bit on my head.

Mirror Mirror Who's the sweetest?

In this case,

Thank you so much for my birthday.

You have it all, in my heart.

Then we're in.

But we lost him. We will not do it anymore.

You're out.

For those of you who have seen 100% real

I'm not going to give you a picture of Min-woo's birthday.

Put the ribbon on it.

(Please check the event notice)

Would you sing me a song?

happy Birthday, happy birthday

My beloved Minwoo-hyung

Happy Birthday

I can not stand it.

I have to celebrate birthday.

St.Valentine Makeup!"Tiffany"|Eng Sub - Duration: 8:31.

The reason why I used brown this time was, since it's Valentine's makeup

the image of brown and pink is strong

Hello, I am Tiffany

I am mainly doing artwork with violin,

modeling and YouTuber.

Today I want to introduce to you a Valentine's day makeup mainly of pink and brown.

Since I'm wearing braces now, some words may not be so clear

but I hope you can watch until the end.

So let's start.

The circle lens I have on right now is,

the Marble produced by Nicole Fujita

in color Honey Macaron

It gives a very soft impression so I'm using it this time.

The base is Time Secret mineral base

Extra smooth matte pink 01

Since it's a Valentine's makeup this time

so I am using pink from base.

To make the skin look healthy, I'm adding more than usual.

Next is RMK liquid foundation 201

For this foundation, even if you add a lot, it spreads evenly so it's good.

Next is NARS radiant creamy concealer.

This is applied to the pimple marks and dark circles

tapping in lightly to cover it.

Next is CanMake highlighter 01

First is Tzone, Czone, above the lips, over the smile lines

is where I would add over.

Under the eyes or on the smiles lines where it becomes shadows,

will hide it with the light so it'll be less visual.

Next is adding CanMake cream cheek 01.

This goes some on the cheek bones and along the face line, tapping in with the cotton puff.

Adding to the face line will

make the shape round so it is good.

Adding under the lips will give it a soft impression,

so adding in here.

Next is adding Etude House drawing eyebrow pencil 07.

This goes very well along the eyebrows,

It's easy to draw the line so I like to use it.

Next is Susie powder eyebrow expert N

Using the lightest color as nose shadow.

Drawing straight along the line and blending in with the fingers.

Next is soft styling expert N

This is going toward the outer corner and trying not to make blots.

Next is CanMake Powder Cheeks no.34

Even though this is a blush, adding near the outer corner will give a soft impression.

Next is Chanel LES 4 OMBRES 38 PREMIER REGAR

First is adding the beige color to the whole eyelid.

This is used as a base so the color later on will fit in nicely.

Adding the light pink into the middle.

For this pink, since there will be much more pink added later on, this is used as base.

Adding the brown color to the middle of the outer corner.

Since this is a dark color, this is only added to the outer corner to make it sharper

Next is CanMake wink glow eyes no.2

If you add too much from the start, it will become too dark

so adding a couple of layers from the start.

Next is addiction the eyeshadow 094

This is added to the edges on top and bottom.

This was used as a main color this time.

Since this one has a lot of glitter inside, it is very cute when the light shines on

Next is Jill Stuart Crystal Velvet eyes no. 102

This is used as a highlighter from the inner corner to where the pink is

This comes right under the white of the eyes so the white shines beautifully.

Next is ettusais cream eyeliner Waterproof

Since this is a pencil type, adding between the eyelashes.

Next is the same ettusais, but the liquid eyeliner

I go along the water line.

This time giving wings to the outer corner.

The reason why I had the line in brown is, it's Valentines makeup with brown and pink impression.

Next is adding Heroin Make Mascara Long and Curl Mascara super waterproof

This one stretches very well,

and the curl stays on for quite some time

so even you are going out for a day, it doesn't come off easily so it's good.

Since I had eyelash extensions this time,

to avoid blots, I straightened it out with a brush

Loretta - Hikari no Tane as the base.

This is organic and has UV cut effect so I like it.

It moisturizes well to keep it from getting dried lips which is also good.

Next is REVLON - COLORBURST Stain 45

Since around the eyes are pretty dark, the lips will also be dark.

This gives bright color so it can also be used as lip cream as well.

How to apply is, going along the shape of the lips.

Next is CANMAKE - Candy Wrap Lip04

Since this is a lip gloss, adding some to the middle of the lips,

and stretching out towards the outer corner of the lips

For the hair, curling the whole hair

This time since I wanted to arrange the hair later, I am curling the whole hair soft.

To be able to add hair wax later on, curling it for little longer.

Curling the bangs inward as well.

The wax is from "product"

Since it's different from usual and is Valentine's makeup,

so I chose not the normal one but the one with lavender scent.

With this adding on some curl and making it fluffy looking

For the hair arrangement, making a small pony tail below and make it inside out.

Letting some short hair stick out a bit and finish.

I feel that rather than formal looking hair, a bit loose hair is popular,

so I have made the hair a little loose.

How was it?

I have used brown and pink as the main colors

and making it girly finish was the key.

It's easy to do so I hope you can try it out.

The key for the coordination was since it is Valentine's, I have matched with the red earrings.

There are other makeup videos so please check it out,

Bye bye

Waarom na de 9e van Beethoven niks meer hetzelfde klonk - Duration: 18:09.

Ludwig van Beethoven.

We know Beethoven was a great composer with hearing trouble.

Beethoven was deaf. He got more and more deaf.

At around age thirty, Beethoven left for Heiligenstadt, outside Vienna,

in order to rest his ears.

But his hearing problems caused a major psychological struggle,

to such an extent that Beethoven nearly decided to end his life.

But one thing stopped him:

Nur sie die Kunst, sie hielt mich zurück.

Only she, Art, held me back.

So, art saved Beethoven. Music was his medication.

And if art could save Beethoven, or change him,

then art could also change society.

And it did, thanks to Beethoven, in the year 1824,

when a new symphony premiered: Beethoven's Ninth.

Why nothing sounded the same after Beethoven's Ninth

Before we go into Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, we should zoom out.

Look at Mozart.

How many symphonies did Mozart compose? 41.

How many symphonies did Haydn compose? 107.

How many symphonies did Beethoven compose? Nine.

But that has to do with the purpose of Beethoven's symphonies.

Mozart mostly composed symphonies for cities or important people,

or as new pieces for his subscription concerts, to make money.

Haydn primarily composed symphonies for the court,

where he worked for over 30 years.

They were meant to be performed once, and sometimes never again.

Beethoven's symphonies were different. He composed for the city,

for people in the city, for real, live people.

And his symphonies had to have a message, a meaning.

A symphony had to contribute to a better world.

So, it took Beethoven years to compose a new symphony.

That's why he only wrote nine.

Beethoven always included a life lesson in them.

Of Beethoven's symphonies, the first two resemble Mozart's work,

in the classical tradition.

The Third, the Eroica symphony, is a kind of victory symphony.

The Fourth counterbalanced the Third.

Then Symphony No. 5, Fate, was also a masterpiece, of course.

The Sixth is a pastoral symphony.

It puts us in a beautiful landscape. Everyone is happy.

It's program music, with impressions of nature.

Then there's Symphony No. 7, one of great joy.

It's a big, upbeat, lively dance. It's very energetic.

The Eighth Symphony counterbalances the Seventh.

And then the Ninth Symphony, the symphony of harmony, of joy,

of the celebration for and of life, of fraternity.

The Ninth Symphony.

Why did Beethoven write the Ninth Symphony?

His first motivation was financial.

In London, he'd received a commission from the Philharmonic Society.

He had to write a new symphony to be performed in London.

Beethoven also had a personal reason for composing the Ninth:

to convince Viennese society of an important vision for life,

a vision of happiness, joy and belief in their own German culture.

And Beethoven already had an idea, which he really wanted to use

in a composition, in a symphony.

We're about to see what that idea was.

First Movement of the Ninth: Allegro ma non troppo

Listen to the symphony's first movement.

A very traditional build-up,

with certain, recognizable themes that develop and come back,

but the way in which Beethoven dealt with it was a little different.

In the beginning, it's all very slow, very mysterious, ominous.

as if violins are falling from the sky all over the place.

Symphonie No. 9, I Allegro ma non troppo

Ludwig van Beethoven (1823)

Then suddenly, in unison, everyone plays a bold, threatening theme.

No symphony had ever begun that way.

It sounds like a hopeful world that Beethoven wanted to put in its place,

including the message, as he often did:

I'm Beethoven, not anybody else.

It took some getting used to, both back in 1824 and now.

As a listener, you wonder: Is it positive or negative?

Where is this going?

Right now, we don't know.

But we can definitely say that Beethoven is building something up.

Movement 2: Scherzo

Normally, a symphony's second movement is slow,

an andante, or an adagio or a largo,

long and flowing, and tranquil, so we can catch our breath.

but no, not in Beethoven's Ninth.

Beethoven composed a fugue, with various voices imitating one another.

It's very complex.

The timpanis seem to rule over life and death.

And it's one giant, rhythmical playground.

The second movement in Beethoven's Ninth is a scherzo.

Scherzo means "musical joke." Composers had a sense of humor, too.

And a scherzo is actually a movement in a symphony

with a contrasting middle part. If this is the start of a scherzo,

then this is the middle part, which sounds totally different, the joke.

Then it returns to what you'd heard before, in the beginning.

Symphony No. 9, I Allegro ma non troppo

Ludwig van Beethoven (1823)

Movement 3: Adagio

So now, you really do need to catch your breath, to relax.

Calm down, Beethoven. And he did, in his third movement, the adagio.

It's so beautiful, it's as if it were composed by angels.

If Beethoven's tempo indication for the third movement can be believed,

it's sixty beats per minute, or one beat per second.

It's nice to say that the adagio is adapted to the rhythm of mankind.

Isn't that nice?

Symphony No. 9, III Adagio Ludwig van Beethoven (1823)

But...

If you think that this is the pinnacle

or the end of the Ninth Symphony, you've got it all wrong,

because at the end of the third movement,

Beethoven bursts the bubble.

The finale

This is what Richard Wagner called the "Schreckensfanfare,"

the fanfare of horror, of terror.

Beethoven tore down one's illusions. He wanted to make something clear.

At the beginning of the fourth, final movement of the symphony,

we hear a few fragments of the first movement,

that theme full of impatience,

of something brewing, violins falling from the sky,

We hear a small fragment of that in the fourth movement.

Symphony No. 9, IV Presto Ludwig van Beethoven (1823)

Then, again, that dark, grim atmosphere

of the horror fanfare by the deep, dark basses,

followed by a little nod to the second movement, the scherzo.

Then we're back in the reality of the fourth movement.

But what did you expect? Beethoven gives a little nod

to the third movement, the adagio. Again, the angels make an appearance.

Symphony No. 9, IV Presto Ludwig van Beethoven (1823)

And now, Beethoven must tell us what he so dearly wanted to say.

And he does, with a new melody that we all know well, even today.

The Berlin Celebration Concert Symphony No. 9

by Leonard Bernstein (1989)

Ode to Joy, the European anthem.

But is this the pinnacle of the Ninth Symphony?

Beethoven, is this the pinnacle?

No, something else was coming.

Something no one else had ever done in a symphony.

And that was...

this.

The Berlin Celebration Concert Symphony No. 9

by Leonard Bernstein (1989)

Singing in a symphony?

Up until 1824, a symphony was always a piece for a symphony orchestra.

But this man changed that.

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was for a symphony orchestra,

soloists and a choir.

So, we heard singing in it, and that was new.

Beethoven really wanted to keep it a surprise until the finale.

Innovation one: there's singing in a symphony.

Two: what's being sung.

It starts with: O Freunde, nicht diese Töne.

Sondern laßt uns angenehmere anstimmen, und freudenvollere.

That means: Friends, not these tones,

but let's start more pleasantly, more joyfully.

In other words, it's time to celebrate life.

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was like a pamphlet for German culture.

The message had to be joyful.

And it had to be performed in Vienna, not in London,

where the commission originated.

And the lyrics also had to evoke that entire message.

So, Beethoven chose a poem written by Friedrich von Schiller in 1785:

Ode and die Freude, or Ode to Joy.

Originally, Schiller's poem was a kind of drinking song.

Beethoven learned it in his twenties.

He toyed with the idea of doing something with the poem

for a long time.

And finally, he did, in his Ninth Symphony.

He did alter it a bit: the drinking connotations from the original poem

from 1785 were left out.

Beethoven also tossed out the overly political messages.

This gave Schiller's poem a whole new spin.

It became an almost prophetic hymn.

Beethoven played it smart

by putting the lyrics to music in a simple way:

every syllable in the lyrics is given the same count, a quarter note.

When they sing that all people are brothers, it goes:

Al-le Men-schen wer-den Brü-der.

And it carries on like that, so it was very easy to sing along

and to remember it. And that's how the message in the lyrics stuck.

And what is it actually about?

And now... Now, we can give an answer

as to what Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is about.

It's about living joyfully.

Millions of people coming together, with a kiss from the whole world.

"Oh, beautiful spark of the gods."

Schöner Götterfunken. That's what Beethoven's Ninth is about.

Fraternity, cohesion, faith in the future and each other.

It's a universal message, which still holds true today.

The première

It premièred on May 7, 1824, three years before his death,

in Vienna's Kärntnertor Theater.

There were 3 conductors on stage:

a head conductor, an assistant conductor amid the musicians

and Beethoven, diagonally behind the head conductor,

so he could set the beat

and to guide the musical expression using broad gestures.

After the second movement, the scherzo,

there was already tremendous enthusiasm and applause.

Beethoven, deaf, didn't realize it.

He had to be turned to the audience to receive the applause.

After the finale, Beethoven had to return to the stage five times,

because everyone was so enthusiastic about his Ninth Symphony.

Clip from Copying Beethoven Agnieszka Holland (2006)

Now, that message of fraternity and togetherness,

of embracing one another, was shattered right after the première.

Because Beethoven calculated the bill,

and he saw that the première had only earned him 420 guilders.

That was very little money indeed.

Beethoven thought that his friends had pocketed some of the money.

So, after the première of the Ninth, Beethoven sent all his friends home.

Why is the Ninth a masterpiece? Beethoven was deaf at the time.

Hearing. Beethoven was already completely deaf in 1824.

Even so, he was able to write something like this, a new symphony.

He could translate his thoughts into notes on paper.

He didn't need a piano or other means of making sounds.

The sound was entirely in his head.

He could sense the sound very well and note it down correctly.

In that way, Beethoven consciously or unconsciously

broke with tradition, the forms and sounds of the time.

Beethoven was physically isolated from the world,

so he did what he, himself, felt. So, Beethoven was also innovative,

because he couldn't listen. He didn't need to.

It's a reference piece.

Beethoven's Ninth was a point of reference.

Look at Johannes Brahms, with his First Symphony.

It's seen as Beethoven's Tenth. That's a nice compliment.

Antonín Dvorák also used Beethoven as a reference,

above all for the number of symphonies he wrote: nine.

Dvorák also literally cited Beethoven in his scherzo,

in his Symphony No. 9.

So, Beethoven was an invaluable influence.

And Beethoven's Ninth is cultural heritage, even today.

In 1985, the famous melody from the finale of the Ninth

was made the European anthem.

And in 2002, the manuscript of Beethoven's Ninth

was named Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

It's also nice to see, for example, how in the 1980s,

the value of Beethoven's Ninth was recognized.

That's when the Berlin Wall fell, in 1989.

Something wonderful happened: Leonard Bernstein, 71, went to Berlin

to give a concert with Beethoven's Ninth on the program.

So, the message was very clear.

Fourth, it's wonderful to listen to...

if you can listen, at least.

Poor Beethoven.

Klara Stay amazed.

An Introduction To Cerebral Palsy - Duration: 7:55.

lecturers have many things on me – papers, thesis's you name it – but I have one

thing they haven't got – cerebral palsy, and I've had that all my life, so I guess

I'm pretty used to it.

You can see what it affects, pretty much my entire body; it is damage to the brain but,

in layman's terms, impacts everything but the brain.

Cerebral Palsy can cause cognitive difficulties but very often doesn't.

I always say assume someone with CP is unaffected cognitively until they say something like

"I'm still for Brexit".

I'm no expert but the two main types are spasticity and athetosis and I have the second

– which is why you can bust my stand-up act by saying I'm actually not entitled

to use the word spastic which I do a lot on stage.

If you want a crass ted-style description of the two: spasticity is a teenager in a

nightclub: all he's interested in doing is pulling, but athetosis is after he's

taken a few poppers – he's all over the place!

People with spasticity usually look more in control though have far more internal problems

due to their tone being high and their muscles always pulling.

You could say people with spasticity are in one long constant spasm – which varies in

strength – while people with athetosis get lots of different opposing spasms.

So in terms of you guys, those with spasticity need regular input to work against the tension

otherwise their muscles often warp.

Whereas, us guys just need – well who knows?

Your guess is as good as mine!

I think with athetosis the job of physios is a creative one, to think of new ways to

help and to examine our gaits and work out which muscles are getting the rawest deal

and how to make it easier for them.

Although we don't have the same issues with constant tension the chances are we'll be

using muscles in a creative way relying on some (ie the ones we can move relatively easily)

a lot while others (ie the ones we struggle using) very little.

As physios it's your job to make a damage assessment and work out whether it's worth

changing things or whether that would just cause things to hit the ground – quite literally.

Another strange symptom of athetosis you have to look forward to is realising that yes every

action does have an opposing reaction but that opposing reaction may not be in any logical

way related.

You may start working with a leg and see an arm shoot up in the air.

So, good luck!

Up until my late teens I had physio regularly then it kind of trailed off, partly due to

funding partly due to just no-one really knowing what to throw at me.

I've been told there's so much wrong with how I walk but I've become so good at walking

in such a bad way that they dare not change anything – it's like gait jenga!

Finally, Dawn asked me to mention walking devices.

My first was a K-walker which are preferred with children as they keep you upright so

good when you're growing and aren't very stylish!

However I now use a Zimmer frame which goes in front of me so is good for making me lean

forward and obviously is much more stylish!

When You Start to Enjoy Being Alone, These 10 Things Will Happen - Duration: 4:52.

Vlog#02 : John Crowder in France - Duration: 9:00.

Disclaimer : This episode could hurt your sensibility

you watch it at your own risks

Hi everyone and welcome to episode n°2 of my Vlog

in the last episode I promised that I would embark you

with me in my travels

count it as done because last friday

I met with some friends in Angers

for a weekend with the theologian

and missionary : John Crowder

John is an American missionary

a little bit criticized

he is provocative in how he do things

in what he say and also in how his meetings happen

talking about that, last week a friend forwarded me a blog

that mentioned the dangerousness of that weekend

quote :

for those would will read this blog post

you will have your eyes opened about the drifts of New Age

divinations and false anointing that are spreading fast

in "prophetic circles"

these "new mystics" are invited early February in Angers

they appeared attractive

they become much less when you discover what is happening in their meetings

exclusively for you

here are some footage

I have to confess that this weekend has not always been that calm

and that John is really provocative sometimes

even disturbing

but what I will personally remember of that weekend

is the simplicity of the message of Jesus

the incredible and scandalous gift that God gave to man

for those of you that are watching but have no idea

about what I'm talking about

I will try to explain briefly

why the death of a man 2000 years ago

have an impact for our life, for the life of all mankind

because if what Jesus accomplished

would just be an example for us

it would be a good example

we can all agree that Jesus

is an admirable example

he transformed history by his message and life

if someone would like to make good in this world Jesus would be a good role model

but what, for us today,

beside a role model

does he have a real impact in our lives today ?

multiple eye-witnesses of His resurrection

have let us writings trying to explain

who was this "Jesus"

and what he tried to accomplish

especially someone named John

in his own testimony write to us that

at some point in the history of mankind

God interviened

he explained that the "substance" if I can say

that permeates all of creation

and uphold everything (John calls that "Logos")

that "substance" that is present everywhere

is the presence of God in creation

at a point in history, that Logos will incarnated itself in a man

will enter space and time

unify itself to a man's nature

and will walk with us

and here is Jesus-Christ

and you all know that Jesus will live an exemplary life

the Bible say that he will be found without any fault

what is happening here is that the Logos

the Word of God, being in union with human nature

is being unified to the human nature that is common to all man

it will be called the mystery of incarnation and solidarity

taking a human nature He unify Himself to all people

and what he will accomplish

in giving His life on the cross will be accomplished

in all man

His death and resurrection will be the death and the resurrection of all

what He will kill on that cross

is our impossibility to fully live by love

he will destroy what, in man, held us back to live and accomplish

what we were created for

it was something impossible for us to do by our own human efforts

but His sacrifice,

because unified with human nature as a whole

it is on that cross that mysteriously

the bad human nature will die with Him

what has, one day, defiled us

we are totally set free now

but to experientially live this, is by faith

another witness named Paul

trying to understand all of this, will write to us that

it is by grace, a free gift given by God

to save us from our own wicked nature

he gave us that free gift

"this is by grace that you have been saved through faith"

so it is by faith that we can manifest the reality of this act of God in our lives

it is precisely here the impact that Jesus have today

the reality of what He accomplished back then is manifested today by faith

and God proved it true by raising Jesus from the dead

and once He is risen, death does not have power over Him anymore

everliving now, He became the head and master of humanity

all the people who believes this message are in union with Jesus-Christ

this union

is already inside every man

but accessible only by faith

there is so much more to say about this

but it was just a little introduction

another thing that I loved this weekend

is the importance given to communion

the taking of bread and wine

we need to remind that we can access to His presence

by something He told us to do

the taking of bred and wine

eat this bread, that is my body. drink this wine, that is my blood.

He gave us a possibility to connect with Himself

to feel His presence

by eating the bread

by drinking the wine

so, this weekend we took time to appreciate this communion

what is important to understand is that

Christianity is not another religion

it's not a self-improvement program

it is the message that 2000 years ago

the wicked human nature that was once inside us

has been crucified once and for all

and that, today, we have access to the tangible presence of God

by Jesus-Christ, in our day to day life

and one of the possibility to do that

is the Eucharist

this is the mystery of Jesus making Himself present

tangible

when we consecrate the bread and the wine

that the experience of His presence

could be an experience of everyday

He mysteriously unified the human race to God Himself

and even today, man his in full union with God

and that the experience of this union is made by faith

that's it ! Here is what I experienced this weekend

and what John talked about

as for my next step

is that this saturday I will be in London for about a week

in the Jesus-Army community

that I already visited with my friend Nitu

and after that I will go back

to the farm in Buxeuil to continu my training in permaculture

I know guys that this episode what a little bit about theology

but I hope it was interesting enough

as for me, I see you in another episode next week

about my trip to London

See Ya'
