Microsoft's announcements at E3 2018 revealed several sequels to some of their biggest franchises

– the Xbox giant had a lot of large expectations from fans, and oh boy did it deliver this

year.

50 games 18 exclusives and 15 world premieres is what was showcased.

But if you didn't catch the press conference, fear not, we've got all the highlights - from

Gears of War to Halo 6 and Cyberpunk 2077, here's what you missed.

The show started off with the game everyone expected to show up – the next installment

in the Halo franchise.

Except instead of being Halo 6, it's Halo Infinite.

We only got a brief tease of the game with a short trailer that really emphasized the

world of the game, ending off with the reveal of Master Chief's helmet.

According to Head of Xbox Bill Spencer, players will be joining Master Chief on his greatest

adventure yet to save humanity, but not much else was said.

We know that it's made in the SlipSpace engine, we know that the story will feature

some stunning locales.

The release date has yet to be announced.

Forza Horizon 4 was another exclusive world premiere, and we got a taste of a trailer

AND gameplay.

Horizon 4 is a completely new take on the series - Ralph Fulton from Playground games

gave us some insight on what to expect from the title, which is set in Britian, and features

dynamic seasons in shared open world.

When you play, you play with the entire community, and you can interact with one another via

quickchat with those you meet in the game.

The changing of the seasons and the weather are a pretty big deal – as we saw in the

demo, lakes that were there in the summer season will freeze over in winter.

These changes are not only aesthetic but will also change your gameplay.

Horizon 4 also boasts seamless co-op, will contain world events for players to participate

in, will be optimized for the Xbox One X with 60 fps mode, and will be released on oct 2nd

with game pass available on the same day

Fallout 76 got a tease from Bethesda at the conference, despite the gaming giant having

it's conference set for only a few hours later – Fallout 76 was recently teased and

made major waves in the gaming community, and now we know a little bit more about it

– it's a prequel to all of the other Fallout games, and is four times the size of fallout

4.

Set in the hills of west Virginia, you are the first to lay eyes on a very different

wasteland when your vault opens up, and from the sounds of it, there will be a whole lot

of emphasis on not just surviving, but rebuilding America.

It'll be available june 15th for pre-order.

Gears of War 5 was an announcement that everyone was expecting, and we got three for the price

of one at the conference – three new games including Gears Pop –a collaboration with

Funko for unique mobile spin – and Gears Tactics – a new take on turn based strategy

genre.

But most importantly, we were given a much needed trailer for Gears 5, and a story that

focuses heavily on Kate splitting up from the rest of the gang.

The world premier of Dying Light 2 debuted, and it's set in what has been described

the second dark ages.

One of the primary concepts behind the game is - Your choices, your world – the demo

showed us how your choices in missions will start to change the entire landscape of the

city – everything has consequences, severely altering the world, making your game experience

unique – but of course, at night, you've got other threats you'll have to deal with.

Another major World Premiere was Capcom's long awaited Devil May Cry 5, introducing

a brand new narrative.

It's been 10 years since DMC 4, and devs promise that it will be the best one yet.

Will it follow suit with how God of War has reinvented the hack and slash genre?

One thing is for sure though – we will be getting ourselves some Dante, who was teased

at the end of the trailer.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 was announced, and it's Urban Warfare takes place 6 months

after outbreak began, and you're in the midst of a civil war.

The Ubisoft title showed off some In game footage featuring co-op gameplay mechanics,

combat and the kinds of weapons that'll be featured in the game.

The conference highlighted some major Xbox exclusives, including the likes of Black Desert,

a vivid dynamic MMORPG steeped in mystery.

For those of you disappointed that Skate 4 didn't make that conference, Microsoft is

serving up an alternative with Session, which perhaps may be a spiritual successor?

And lastly, the conference ended off with a major bang - the trailer for one of the

most highly anticipated games over the last several years – Cyberpunk 2077.

The creators of the Witcher 3 revealed a trailer for Cyberpunk at last year's E3, but Cyberpunk

is a game that fans have been awaiting long before that, and we FINALLY GOT IT.

Made up from Game Engine Footage, the trailer showcased a whole lot more about the world,

giving off some major blade runner meets ready player one vibes.

What else did you miss?

Microsoft also announced new studios they've acquired for Microsoft Studios including (5)

The Initative, Undead Games, Playground, Ninja Theory (ninja gaiden), Compulsion Games

Compulsion Game's We Happy Few finally got a release date – august 10th 2018.

We got a stunning trailer for the first person shooter Metro Exodus, set to be released Feburary

22nd 2019.

The World Premiere of the trailer for Jump Force debuted, featuring some familiar fan

favourites courtesy of Bandai Namico.

A sequel to Cup-Head was previewed, The Delicious Last Course, which promises a new story and

new playable characters.

Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts was shown – this is the game's first time ever on X-Box,

and the trailer featured the characters of Frozen, Wreck it Ralph and so many more of

your Disney and Pixar favourites – it comes out Jan 29th 2019.

The awesome adventures of Captain Spirit also had a trailer shown – something many people

thought was another Life is Strange Game, but will only take place in the same story

world.

We got a new glimpse at the perpetually delayed Crackdown 3 featuring a lot of Terry Crews.

And another Exclusive in the form of PUBG with war mode announced, set to be released

winter 2018.

President Trump Was Stabbed In The Back On LIVE TV As He Was Boarding Air Force One.

As President Trump was leaving the G7 summit in Quebec, Canada yesterday, Canadian Prime

Minister Justin Trudeau decided to take it upon himself to stab the American President

in the back by vowing that Canada won't be pushed around in a confrontation with the

U.S.

According to Red State Wave, the war of words escalated when President Trump fired back

at Trudeau's comments were he referred to the Canadian leader as "Very dishonest & weak"

after the summit, while at the same time Trump also tweeted that he was revoking U.S. endorsement

of the summit's final joint statement.

Trudeau's reply to this was that his nation was insulted that President Trump unilaterally

imposed stiff tariffs on Canada because of national security reasons while at the same

time expressing the true bond there is between Canada and the U.S. when it comes to jointly

fighting conflicts around the world.

"Canadians … stood shoulder to shoulder with American soldiers in far off lands in

conflicts from the First World War onward," the prime minister said at a press conference

at the end of the summit, The Washington Post reported.

"It's kind of insulting."

"Canadians, we're polite, we're reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around,"

Trudeau continued."

Although they have already done so all along, Trudeau later added that his country would

have no issue imposing its own tariffs in retaliation for the ones imposed by the U.S.

To which Donald Trump wasted no time replying to:

President Trump made it very clear at the meeting that the U.S. would end all trade

with nations that refuse to end "unfair" trade practices with the U.S. while at the

same time using the meeting to call free trade down the line.

A free trade of all nations where one side doesn't impose tariffs while the other side

watches and does nothing.

The president further annoyed the other G7 members by calling for Russia, which was expelled

after the annexation of Crimea in 2014 to be welcomed back to the group and by arriving

late to a "working breakfast" on Saturday with the General Equality Advisory Council

and leaving early before the sessions for climate change and the environment began.

Here is more information as to what led up to this confrontation via Automotive News:

"President Donald Trump is warning Canada that any renegotiated North American Free

Trade Agreement must be "a fair deal, or there will be no deal at all," escalating

a leader-level standoff triggered by U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum.

"The United States has been taken advantage of for many decades on trade," Trump said

in a statement released Thursday night by the White House.

"Those days are over.

Earlier today, this message was conveyed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada: The

United States will agree to a fair deal, or there will be no deal at all."

He followed up with a tweet Friday criticizing Canadian agricultural policy.

The statement was an apparent response to remarks made by a frustrated Trudeau earlier

Thursday, when he announced retaliatory tariffs.

The Canadian leader said a planned meeting with Trump to potentially seal a NAFTA deal

collapsed after Vice President Mike Pence called and insisted the meeting was conditional

on adding a sunset clause.

The development is the latest sign of leaders hardening their positions — Trudeau said

he saw an accord within reach but other core disputes remain, including the sunset clause.

Canada and Mexico have signaled there'd only be a quick deal if the U.S. made concessions

on outstanding issues to seal a win on automobiles.

If the U.S. digs in instead, NAFTA talks look set to drag on, or worse: Trump repeatedly

threatens to quit the current NAFTA altogether.

In a broadening of trade tensions, America's closest allies plan to slap billions of dollars

in tit-for-tat tariffs on U.S. goods after the Trump administration announced it's

imposing steel and aluminum duties on them.

The reaction was swift after Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross announced the U.S. on Friday will

levy new metals duties on imports from the European Union, Mexico and Canada on national

security grounds, ending their temporary exemptions.

Quitting NAFTA would be yet another explosive and controversial trade move by the Trump

administration.

The U.S., Canada and Mexico trade more than a trillion dollars in goods annually.

It would also signal no one is safe: Mexico and Canada are the top two buyers of U.S.

exports.

Trump made his threat Thursday, but Trudeau made the same one two days earlier.

He said during a Bloomberg interview in Toronto that k*****g NAFTA — the existing 1994 deal,

as Trump threatens — is better for Canada than swallowing a bad deal to update it.

"No NAFTA is better than a bad deal, and we've made that very clear to the president,"

the prime minister said.

Trump followed up Friday morning with a tweet saying Canada had treated U.S. farmers poorly.

"They must open their markets and take down their trade barriers!" he wrote.

"Do Timber & Lumber in U.S.?"

It was unclear what he was referring to; the U.S. is already applying tariffs to Canadian

softwood lumber.

Talks continue

NAFTA talks continue, with a deal needed probably within days to have any hope of passing the

current U.S. Congress — as had been the Trump administration's goal — and with

Mexican elections one month away.

Failing to reach an accord on an update doesn't necessarily mean NAFTA is d**d, though.

The existing pact remains on the books.

Any country can quit on six months' notice, which isn't binding, in that they can give

notice and never actually quit.

No country has yet given notice, though Trump threatens to.

Earlier Thursday, Wilbur Ross, in announcing the steel and aluminum tariffs against U.S.

allies, including Canada and Mexico, said the NAFTA talks were "taking longer than

we had hoped" to complete.

"The status to which they got did not justify continuing exemption from the tariffs based

on the national security considerations of the overall situation," he said.

Ross also said there was "no longer a very precise date when they will be concluded."

Taken with Trump's statement, that signals the NAFTA partners are entrenched — and

the window Trudeau saw to sew up a deal may have closed."

고객의 편의를 우선으로 살펴야 하는 서비스업 특성상 머그컵 사용을 강요 수도 없는 노릇이고요."-서울 A커피전문점 부점장으로 근무 중인 권진석 가명)씨 환경부가 프랜차이즈 커피·패스트푸드 전문 업체들과 협약을 체결하 일회용컵 사용을 감축하기 위한 친환경 캠페인을 이달부터 본격적으로 시작 지만 아직 현장에서는 메아리가 없다

환경부는 지난달 24일 16개 커피전문업체 및 5개 패스트푸드전문업체, 자원순환사회연대와 '일회용품 사용 가소 및 재활용 촉진을 위한 자발적 협 '을 맺었다

이달 1일부터 업체들은 △매장 내 머그컵 등 다회용컵 우선 제공 △ 회용컵 우선 이용 고객 대상 인센티브 제공 등 친환경 캠페인에 적극 동참 야 한다

환경부와 자원순환사회연대는 협약 이행 담보를 위해 업체들의 이행 실태를 각 매장별로 정기·수시로 점검하기로 했다. ◇ "손님이 싫어해서요"… 회용컵 사용 여전그러나 실제 현장에서는 협약 내용을 제대로 준수하는 곳을 거의 찾아볼 수 없었다

지난 주말 서울 마포구 A커피전문점. 매장 내부에서는 텀블러나 머그 등 다회용컵을 사용해 음료를 마시는 손님은 없었다. 심지어 음료를 주문 기 전 다회용 컵 사용 여부를 묻는 직원들도 없었다

서울 영등포구의 B커피전문점에서는 머그컵 사용을 요구했지만 "아이스컵이 부족해 일회용 컵에 드릴 수밖에 없다"는 답변이 돌아왔다. 고객들은 은 브랜드여도 매장에 따라 다회용컵 사용에 따른 할인율이 다르다며 불만을 토로하기도 했다

회사원 장진서(가명·25·여)씨는 "지난 1일 서초구의 C커피전문점 매장에 텀블러 할인을 요구했을 때 상향된 할인가(200원)를 적용해주기에 다른 지역 매장 갔을 때도 똑같이 적용해주는줄 알았는데 회사에 관련 공지 전달받지 못했다며 100원만 깎아줬다"고 볼멘소리를 했다

일선 현장에서는 일회용컵 사용이 좀처럼 줄어들지 않는 이유로 소비자들 불편 호소, 본사에서 직접 관리가 어려운 가맹점 중심의 프랜차이즈 운영 방식 등을 꼽았다

서울 D 커피전문점에서 매니저로 근무 중인 서희성(가명·여)씨는 " 부에 들고 나갈 때 다시 일회용 컵으로 바꾸기 힘들어 불편하다고 머그컵 용을 권유해도 거부하는 고객들이 많다"고 말했다

서울 E 커피전문점에서 일하는 송지영(가명·여)씨는 "경품 이벤트까 열어 다회용컵 사용을 적극 독려하는데도 시민들이 무관심한 편"이라며 " 00원, 300원 할인을 받으려고 무거운 텀블러를 휴대하고 다니느니 일회 컵을 쓰겠다는 고객들이 대부분"이라고 말했다

한정된 인력과 공간, 비용 부담 등 현실적 여건도 문제다. 프랜차이즈 커피전문점 가맹점주 강정석(가명)씨는 "다회용컵 추가 구매, 컵 분실 및 파손 따른비용은 오롯이 가맹점주 몫"이라며 "협약은 본사가 맺고 비용은 맹점이 부담하는 게 말이 되냐"고 반문했다 그는 "머그컵 사용이 늘어나 테이블 수가 많고 면적이 넓은 매장은 설거지할 사람을 새로 뽑아야 할 "이라며 "비용부담을 모두 가맹점주에만 전가하는 것은 부당하다"고 덧붙였

서울의 한 대형 프랜차이즈 커피전문점 부점장으로 일하는 김형식(가명 씨는 "머그컵을 보관할 장소도 문제"라고 말했다. 그는 "좌석 100개인 커피전문점이 음료 사이즈별 머그컵 수요를 맞추려면 최소 머그컵 300개를 구비해야 하는데 이를 보관해둘 곳이 마땅치 않다"며 "머그컵 뿐 아니라 그컵 전용 식기세척기도 구매해야 하고 식기세척기 설치 장소도 마련해야 한

해결해야 할 문제가 한둘이 아니다"라고 말했다. ◇현행 일회용컵 보 금제 보완해 소비자 유인해야 전문가들은 지금의 유인책만으로 소비자 인식을 쉽게 개선하기 어려울 것이라고 지적했다

적극적 홍보를 통해 일회용컵 사용에 따른 환경훼손에 대한 경각심을 높이 한편 일회용컵 보증금제도도 손볼 필요가 있다고 조언했다. 홍수열 자 순환사회경제연구소장은 "원래부터 운영되던 할인제도에 할인 혜택을 조금 올 다고 텀블러·머그컵 이용을 이끌어 내기는 어렵다"며 "미반환보증금 발생, 한정된 보증금 수혜 창구 등 현행 일회용 컵 보증금 제도의 문제점을 보완 텀블러 할인 제도와 함께 운영해야 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있을 것"이라고 말했다

김미화 자원순환사회연대 사무총장은 "1994년도에 만들어진 자원재활 법에 따라 면적이 33㎡가 넘는 매장 내에서 일회용 컵을 사용하는 것은 미 불법이고 과태료(300만원) 부과 대상인데 그간 제대로 시행되지 않았 것 뿐"이라며 "협약을 제대로 시행하지 않는 업체들은 자원재활용법에 따 과태료를 부과할 것"이라고 설명했다

환경부 관계자는 "시행 초반이라 지금은 계도기간처럼 운영되고 있는 "이라며 "이달 중순부터 자원순환사회연대와 본격적인 현장 모니터링을 실시 현실적인 애로사항 등을 함께 협의해 문제점들을 개선해 나갈 것"이라고 했다
