HOW I LEARNED 7 LANGUAGES ***REAL LIFE ENGLISH #3*** - Duration: 7:30.
My name is Rodger Koller and this video is going to be very quick
This is from a series of videos in which I'm not going to make a script
before...So I haven't written anything before
The idea is that I speak naturally without thinking about anything
the same way I talk to my friends
without holding myself back
using contractions, slangs
whatever pops up to my head
So without any further ado, let's get started
so come with me..
Many people ask me how I learned so many different languages
I speak 7 languages
some better than others
I speak Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, French and of course, English
but the two languages that I speak perfectly are English and Portuguese
I can communicate in those other languages as well
but not so perfectly, because
because I don't really practice them so much and as I always say:
If you don't use it, you lose it
I know some other languages such as German, Norwegian, Danish, Greek, among others
but I can't say that I speak these languages
I can only read texts and articles
but I've never had a conversation in these languages
The question then is how I learned these languages
It's hard to answer this question
because each one of these languages I learned differently
So there isn't ONE answer to this question
how I learned these languages
So, I guess I'll have to tell you about each one of them separately
I'll try to go straight to the point because I want this video to be really quick
I'll start telling you about how I learned Portuguese
first because it was the first language I learned
and there's not much to say about that because
because it was so natural. My mother is Brazilian and she used to speak Portuguese with me since I was a baby
So, I learned it naturally
English
Again, there isn't much to tell you about that
because I've never had to go to a school
to learn it
I also learned English naturally
the same way I learned Portuguese
by being exposed to the language
by watching cartoons in English
with friends from school
I've always had friends who spoke English
since I was a little child
I lived in England for a long time
I'll tell you about my life in England in a future video
because in this video I need to focus on telling you how I learned different languages
but let me tell you how I learned
Spanish...
When I was 16 years old I was iving in England
but then I was forced to come to Brazil because of some family issues
and then 3 days after getting here I found a job as a teacher
and the teachers could learn a different language for free
and then I decided to take the Spanish course
So I studied from the basic to the advanced level
in one year
I used to study Spanish for 6 hours a day
I had a student's book and a workbook
and my teacher would assign me around 3 pages for homework
and I would do around 20 pages a day
I was insane
I was obsessed with this language
I really wanted to learn it
and quickly.......I practiced my listening by watching Mexican soap operas
I didn't have a TV at this moment in my life
and the school had a video room
with many tapes with many old Mexican soap operas
that teachers used in class
My favourite soap opera was LA USURPADORA
Paola Bracho was a great inspiration in my life
I practiced my listening by watching TV shows in Spanish
I practiced my speaking with a Mexican girl
who was my teacher
She was 21 years old and
and very beautiful
Her name was Mercedes
and I'll tell you more things about Mercedes
in a future video but she helped me a lot. She really knew how to use her tongue
I mean.......Her language!
She knew how to use her language
I practiced my writing and my reading by doing pages and pages from workbooks
Japanese...How I learned Japanese
Well, I've always been into cartoons
games, anime and manga
I've always loved the Japanese culture
when I was a kid I used to watch Dragon Ball in Japanese
when I was 17 years old I went back to England and
the experience studying Spanish was so absolutely amazing
that I wanted to do that again
but now with a different language, so
So I wanted to learn another language
desperately!!! So I started studying Japanese
by myself, I bought a grammar book
I practiced my listening by watching anime
such as Dragon Ball, Saint Seya, Naruto and stuff like that
I didn't have anyone to practiced my Japanese with
So, my strategy was to talk to myself
That's when I started talking to myself
Up to this day I do that in different languages
I think it's one of the best ways to practice
and I did the same thing with Chinese and Korean
So, I'm still studying Korean nowadays
I like watching those DORAMAS and series in Korean
Unfortunately I don't have anyone to practice Korean with
So, I only talk to myself and read books
and I studied French for one year by myself
but I was lucky because one of my friends
when I was a teenager
she was a French girl
she was in England, studying English
So, I helped her with her English and in exchange
she taught me French
but it was a very informal way of learning a language. We didn't have any strategy
we would just meet every day and talk in the park
and we ended up making out...Yeah
and kissing...yeah
I know! But that's another story
for a different video
So, I've never to go to any school to learn these languages
I've always enjoyed learning
At this moment I'm studying Italian
I've never really thought
too much about how I learn languages, because
for me it's like breathing
I just like doing that
It's a hobby for me
I'll always be studying a language
It's fun! It's like playing video game or
riding a bike, it's fun!
I don't have any single strategy to study languages
like a unique technique
to share with you right now
but let me think now......Hmmmm
Let me think about what I always do...well..
I always focus on practicing the four skills
writing, reading, listening and speaking
I always use repetition when I'm learning a language
I repeat the same sentence over and over again
until I feel that I'm pronouncing things perfectly
I always talk to myself in the language that I'm studying at the moment
I try to interact with other people who are studying the same language
in the language that I'm studying
and if possible I try to find native people to talk to me
and practice
I basically immerse in the language that I'm studying at the moment
I change the language in my electronic devices
I expose myself to the language that I'm studying
I try to make it fun
Watching movies, series, listening to music
talking to people, reading books
basically that's how I've always done it so...
Well, there's no secret
The thing is...I've always loved learning different languages

BARACK OBAMA'S TREASONOUS SECRET MEETING GOES PUBLIC
Former President Barack Obama was just caught doing something that shows that he
is more desperate than ever to destroy President Donald Trump.
Daily Mail reported that Obama has held secret meetings with at least nine potential challengers
to President Trump.
These potential challengers include Senator Elizabeth Warren, former Vice President Joe
Biden and former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.
The meetings have reportedly taken place at Obama's personal office on
the third floor of the World Wildlife Fund building in Washington D.C.
The potential candidates are each desperate to secure Obama's blessing, as he has remained
the virtual head of the Democratic Party.
However, Obama has made no promises to any of them and will not endorse in the race until
a nominee emerges.
Obama campaigned heavily for Hillary Clinton in 2016, and it appears clear that he plans
to campaign against Trump a lot once again in 2020.
This comes after Trump called out Obama over the way he handled the Iran deal.
"The Obama Administration is now accused of trying to give Iran secret access to the
financial system of the United States.
This is totally illegal.
Perhaps we could get the 13 Angry Democrats to divert some of their energy to this "matter"
(as Comey would call it).
Investigate!" Trump tweeted last week.
Trump is referring to the fact an investigation by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations
just found that Obama's Treasury Department secretly worked on a
license
to allow Iran access to the American financial
system.
"The Obama administration misled the American people and Congress because they were desperate
to get a deal with Iran," Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH), the subcommittee's chair, said in
a statement.

Drummer Suing Fox & Friends Three Years After AXE-THROWING FAIL! | What's Trending Now! - Duration: 5:15.
A West Point Drummer is suing Fox & Friends. Why? Oh not much. Just because of
that time a host on the show threw an axe at him.

social media news every day. You might remember this clip that made the rounds
back in 2015. In celebration of Flag Day, Fox & Friends co-host Pete Hegseth was
attempting an axe toss for some reason, while a few drummers stood right behind
and next to the target. They had a lot of confidence in that news anchor that he
would just get a bull's-eye I guess. They didn't leave any room for him to make a
mistake. They were like this news anchor, no mistakes are gonna happen, he's gonna
hit the bull's eye, this... he's just, he looks strong. It's like if somebody
handed you a gun for the first time, you've never touched a gun before, and
they said hey make a bull's-eye and then they had people standing all around the
target and then what are the chances of you hitting a person instead of the
target? A few days later after the incident, the drummer, Jeff Prosperie, took
to Facebook to talk about it. "I am thankful to God that the double sided
blade only hit broadside on the outer elbow with significant impact and a
couple of cuts as it fell along my wrist. It could have been much worse or fatal.
Focusing on full physical and emotional recovery." Yeah, that drummer is 100% right.
That could have been a lot worse. Could have been a lot like, you know? Also, I
just want you guys to just like you know keep in mind it was an axe that was
thrown on live TV. Woo! It wasn't a... I don't know... beach ball.
Nevertheless, Prosperie has filed a lawsuit naming Hegseth, Fox & Friends,
and parent company News Corp, claiming the defendants acted with "reckless
disregard for the safety of others." Hmm. True. It's unclear what specific injuries
Prosperie suffered, but the lawsuit says they're "severe and serious personal
injuries to his mind and body, some of which upon information and belief,
are permanent with permanent effects of pain, disability, disfigurement and loss
of body function." If you were hired to drum, you're just doing a little drum,
you're like, "Hey, Mom. I'm gonna be on the news. I'm gonna be on
the news playing a little drum," and then your mom's watching the news and then
you get hit by an axe... you didn't sign up for that. Prosperie...
Oh my God. This is
the worst day of my life and I'm so mad and I'm going to sue you. And that was a
act from my new play, my one-woman show, "Hit By A Water Bottle".
I don't think we should fast forward through anything with you, but let's see what the audience has
to say. Audience, if you think we should just get rid of all this stuff of
Jonathan fumbling around with the microphone, go ahead press a button on the screen
that says "cut it", but if you think we should leave it so you can take a look
at what happens behind the scenes, press the button that says "leave it". All right.
On three, touch your screens what you think should happen next. One, two, three!
Of course, that technology doesn't exist yet it. Doesn't work like
that. You know technology does exist though. Six hats! One, two, three. All right.
Well I guess that means we're just gonna leave it.
You've got to love the news anchors body language in the clip. The second he
throws the axe, he knows he fucked up. As you can tell from the clip, Prosperie
was caught way off guard by the axe sailing over the target. Soon after the
incident on Facebook, he wrote: "My leadership told me they were told there
would be no axe throwing. I think the anchor person went rogue and decided to
throw it. When shooting or throwing, always know what is behind your target.
Basic safety rule." I am just so shocked that the news anchor
threw that axe without being told the safety rules and regulations of axe throwing.

lumberjack tournaments with events like axe-throwing and chainsawing.
Listen, I get it. When you're on TV, you want to show off your guns. You want to
show off your strength, and how freaking hot and sexy you are, but it just like

Top 3 Beach Fishing Methods to Catch Fish on ANY beach! - Duration: 16:48.
What's going on guys,
today we're having a tackle talk
about three of the most effective methods for surf fishing.
My first favorite method
light tackle
little spoons and stuff like this
On light line, small reel, small rod on the surf, a lot of fun.
Method two:
ahhhhh!! I just hooked myself!
Method two: bait fishing using hook and sinker
and method 3: plugging.
All right, so I've got boxes for each kinds of these, uh,
each kind of fishing that I was talking about, I've got...
my
light tackle box
with like, little spoons and stuff like that in there.
I love these little spoons.
Um, I've got my bait fishing box,
which, I've got all my sinkers, all my hooks, leader line, pre-tied rigs that I've tied
yeah, lots of different stuff for bait fishing
and then I've got one of my many plugging boxes right here
full of different metal plu-- different plugs, top water
metal dip divers
lots of different kinds of plugs in here
and now I have them in all separate boxes because I consider them as different kinds of fishing
I don't usually bring all three with me to the beach
because if I'm focusing on one kind of fishing
I like to focus on one kind of fishing.
The first method I'm talking about today
is like, light tackle spoons.
So I know Kast master makes a bunch of these kinds of spoons all different sizes
I usually get 1/2 ounce,
quarter ounce, 1 ounce
but that's if I'm targeting little dinner size fish from the first trough
I recommend anyone start with a
1/2 ounce to 1 ounce little spoon like this, now spoons like this catch all sorts of fish
I'm telling you guys, all sorts of fish
Um, when I cast this out
I usually have no idea what I'm gonna hook up with
and that's really cool to me that-that you know, casting out--the mystery of not knowing what you're gonna catch
that's what really draws me to the sport of fishing in general,
um, so I think that these are really, really versatile, they work all over, they work everywhere,
I've caught fish on spoons everywhere I've been,
um, and I really really like them,
and now the trick with using--now the trick with using these little spoons like this
is to make sure you have the correct gear. You're not going to be able to cast this little spoon out
On something like--on something like this
or something big like this.
These are just too big.
You won't be able to get your line out far enough.
What I recommend you guys use for these spoons,
um, these light tackle, is a salt water approved
uh, lighter reel, and I just ordered myself a reel that would be perfect for this.
KastKing.
This is the Kodiak.
This handle is what I really like about it, now, let me show you why.
All right. Look at that.
Perfect. Not too big,
not too small.
This will be a very versatile reel for me, I will be able to use this on the pier
I'll be able to use this on the surf. I'll be able to use on the jetty,
brackish water, fresh water, it's salt water approved, good size,
now the part I like about the kno-- the-the handle
is the knob right here when you order the five thousand sized
Instead of getting like a standard, like--
Instead of getting that little standard knobby-knob like this,
you get a nice
handful with this, look at that,
and this allows for a
a nice grip on your reel so you don't feel like your fingers are gonna slip out if you happen to land a-
if you happen to catch a big fish, um,
it's perfect, and it's not so big that you won't be able to cast something like this out,
so long as you have the right diameter braid
um, you will be fine.
For this kind of fishing, I recommend you spool this up with, like
Probably ten pound braid.
Braid is a really sensitive line. It has no stretch
so you're able to feel every little touch and I think that's important when you have, uh,
light tackle like this so you can really be able to set the hook on them good.
Now I'm going to show you a really quick trick with spooling up braid,
it's gonna save you a little bit of money and I think a lot of people will benefit from this tip,
here it is. You ready?
You don't need to spool this whole spool up with braid.
If you don't have anything, but braid on here, it's gonna start slipping.
It's gonna start slipping, and maybe some of you have had this problem before where like the drag is completely locked
but you pull it and it's still spinning.
Why is that? Because braid can't grip on to this.
What you need to do is put monofilament backing on it.
Think about how big your spool is. Are you really going to be casting 300 yards of braid?
I don't think you can cast 300 yards of braid, and if you can, props to you, man,
but I can't cast 300 pounds of braid!
So what I usually do is I put mono backing on here
and then probably 150 yards of braid
this way you save a bunch of braid,
this way, you save a bunch of braid and your line won't slip.
So I'm going to show you real quick.
Well I'll fill the spool about a quarter of the way
And I've got 20 pound mono backing right now and this--KastKing braid has been working for me pretty well
And they're like ten dollars cheaper than like this the standard braid that I usually get Power Pro spider wire
It's usually ten dollars more expensive
KastKing does the same job and to give you more of it.
So the line that I've been using is this KastKing braided line, made in the USA
Spectra fiber and it comes on this awesome
biodegradable spool
Which I think is a really good effort in helping with water conservation ocean conservation
Because plastic is really ruining our oceans, Erin and I have been talking to you guys about this for a while
Now how we should all be picking up our trash we should be leaving our spots cleaner
than when we first arrived and I think this fits in so perfectly because
at least they're putting effort into
Minimizing waste use the spool one time and then you throw it away and then that plastic lives on earth for a long
time
That doesn't make sense to me. Why create that plastic is bad for the world. Thank you KastKing for making something like this
And I'm using the Uni to uni knot to attach the braid
to my mono
If anyone wants a tutorial if anybody's interested in this tutorial on how to tie a uni to uni knot
Let me know in the comments below. I'll make one the second I hear one person tell me they need help with that and
Then I fill the rest up with braids

This is gonna be awesome our next method method number two bait fishing
There are so many different rigs that you can tie all with the basic idea
This rig is one of my favorite rigs you guys may have seen us talk about this rig before
It's the same rig in the second skippers surf fishing kit now
We provide you all the things to tie and how to tie this rig
In our senkoskipper kit. It's not a PDF if you want to read it all in the link in the description below
But this rig is a very versatile rig
You don't have to have one hook. You can have two hooks. You're gonna have three hooks if you wanted to have three hooks
With this, it keeps the beat off the ground. Whereas a fish finder rig that hook the the hook is on the ground
It's on the ocean floor since it's off the bottom. I
Get less catfish I get less skate. I get less, you know like the bottom feeding fish
Especially I get a lot of hookups on the top hook
far from the bottom
Anyways, I like to rip this up
Lately, I've been liking to rig this up with the supersalty tentacles. This is the mixed bag that we have
I'm gonna show you this real quick
the mixed bags come with squid chunks made from the body and squid tentacles made from the tentacles of the
Squid and it comes with a bunch of salt with it to keep it preserved
So it comes with a bunch of this
salt but the salt is a good thing it helps keep it preserved and it also is infused with a lot of
Squid scent all that squid juice is in the salt and it keeps it smelling
like fresh squid
Love it. So here are the body parts
Here are the tentacles everyone gets tentacles in the mixed bag
Body body
Body body. Alright, so for this I want to show you guys something. I want you guys to try this yourself
Get the tentacles
Cut off a bit
and
then
You're gonna feed it onto your hook like a worm like this
Now I'm using circle hooks
Because those are safer for fish
Alright look at that
Hook it up like this get the tentacles put it on here now for for bigger hooks
either use a big tentacle or
use a chunk bait like this and
With these bodies, you've got a lot of meat on them and they stay on there forever
There you go
Look at that perfect in combination with like fresh-cut bunker or like blood worms
This is a nice chunk bait to add on or by itself
Look at that
So now when this is sitting when this is in the water this surf, okay waves and current will be pushing it
Back and forth and swishing, doesn't it look like a fish to you
Smells great moves very naturally
Other beats I would use on this
bloodworms
cut bunker
mmm, chunk beat any kind of dead beat
dead fish cut dead fish
Lots of stuff works on on these hooks right here
but yeah for these hooks you can put whatever kind of chunk bait you want on them you cast it out you sit there you
Wait for the tug
I really like this kind of fishing especially if I'm going with family or friends and I don't want to pay full attention to fishing
I can have this out have a bail up have my drag set
So I can really just chill lay back and I don't have to be super focused which brings me to my next method
plugging
This is
Like a candy store for me like this all looks like candy to me. I
Frickin love them one. They're really beautiful. They're really fun
They're really beautiful aren't they? This one was actually made by a subscriber Linnell Thank You Man
I still have not gotten a chance to use it
We're preparing for our trip to Cape Cod soon. And I think that these will work really well NL. Thank you very much
These are metal lip divers
Metal lip divers stay subsurface. They're not on the top, but they're just below it and they'll dive like this
This works really well for lots of different kinds of fish. Especially big predator fish
Rockfish striped bass
Now the thing is these are made of wood and I don't want to fish for this for
For-4 bluefish because it'll ruin my paint
Just a personal preference. I would rather not use such a beautiful lure on a toothy fish like that
For toothy fish I use plastic stuff like this
Or I don't know if it's plastic whatever material this is but it can get beaten up and I don't care
This is a tsunami one of the tsunami talking poppers
Not too expensive
Really fun to use the thing with top water and plugs like this is these are probably to three ounces, you know
Like they're not they're not light things. You would not want to use light tackle to be throwing something like this what I recommend for
Top water plugs like this like save ones like this on the surf is a long rod
10 to 11 feet 10 11 foot rod will be good
with a bit reel
With heavier braid, so I'm thinking like 30 40 pound braid
20 pound braid will work but I'm afraid of cut slicing my finger on that braid and
The cast King braid will work perfectly for this. I highly recommend you use braid when you're casting plugs like this because
You want it to go really far? That's one of the reasons why it's so big and heavy
You want it to go really far and cover a lot of water when you're working these bass on the top?
You want to cover as much of that water column as possible
And this is making a bunch of noise at the surface of the water splashing around at boom
all of a sudden something will come out of the water and eat it and it's so exciting to see it because it's boom and
Then it's a train on you and it's a train on the end of your rod. It's awesome
You're gonna see more of that in the future because we're going to cape cod soon
So when you fish when you fish something like this there's a lot of different ways to fish it
This will fish way different than this
Look at how its shaped this will float and pop water from the mouth
This one more more so glides through the water
So but for something like this a popper
What you're going to want to do is cast it way out there and start popping bringing it back
Okay, there's many different ways many different speeds. You can bring it back. That's something that you need to work on yourself
It depends on what the fish want. Sometimes you cast it out. Pop pop pop wait
Pop pop pop wait pop pop pop. Sometimes they want fast pop
Pop pop up up up, you know, it's there's different retrieval ways and you got to experiment with different ways
So final tips for these get yourself the correct rod
Okay, ten eleven foot
Ten eleven foot rod with the right reel and the right braid throw these when you see fish
Busting on the surface. You see birds diving like crazy throw these when you see fish coming out of the water
You see fish chasing out a little bait fish
Throw one of these it'll really attract it with all that sound with all that splashing. It'll come up and smack it hard

Try and remember that when you're there and not get too frustrated with yourself if you cannot catch fish

Ice Kallen is one of the easiest character to play, her main way of dealing damage is her combo attack, which marks the enemy she hits.
Her evasion also marks the enemies around her and regenerates KP. The Mark will explode after a few seconds and do ice damage. You can stack the mark for 3 times for maximum damage output.
The dash attack is her combo attack, it marks all the enemies and you are completely invulerable during the dash.
You can use 1 bar of KP to immediately cast another combo attack, so when your KP bar is full you can do 3 combo attacks, giving you maximum stacks for the mark.
When the mark is at 3 stacks, it will time-lock the enemy for a short duration and deal 600% single target+200% AOE damage. So if you have 10 units stacked together each unit will take 600%+2000% damage.
The ultimate will immediately apply 3 stacks of mark on all units in the area and quickly regenerate your KP bar for 12 seconds.
So to play Ice Kallen, you basically just tap the attack button non-stop, since you are invulnerable half of the time you don't even need to dodge much.
Ice Kallen does more damage when theres more enemies on the field, her single target damage is not that great, she is a very strong abyss character.
Unlike Butler Fuhua, Ice Kallen is so easy to play my 6 years old sister can probably use her and beat Red Lotus Abyss.

Hello, How are you? Tonight, we're going to talk about mermaids and sirens.
answer questions about what the mermaids and sirens are,
the differences between these, the culture where they appeared,
the things that the mermaids can do, and sirens can't do
and more similar things like these.
First, we're going to start with… mermaids!
The reality of mermaids was assumed during medieval times,
when they were depicted matter-of-factly alongside known aquatic animals such as whales.
Hundreds of years ago sailors and residents in coastal towns around the world
told of encountering the sea maidens.
A mermaid was a half human and half fish type of creature.
Mermaids stories appeared in the folklore of many cultures worldwide,

Now we're going to talk about sirens, maybe one of the most known creatures of the world,
if you search the internet for images of Sirens, you'll probably get a flood of beautiful women with fish tails
and for this reason many people think that them are the most beautiful creatures in the world,
so in many ways, the modern siren is a creepy version of the mermaid.
Her long hair and scaly tail are darkly colored.
Her eyes and skin are ghostly pale.
And she is set against a stormy background -a shipwreck waiting to happen,
but the reality is another.
These images are a far-cry from the original Sirens.
Instead of having fish tails, the first sirens had bird features:
feathered wings, clawed feet, and sometimes sparrow's tails.
They were not particularly beautiful, especially considered to the sea nymphs who frolicked in the waters below them.
A 'siren' was a half woman and half bird type of creature, which belonged to the Greek mythology,

Homer, Virgil, Pliny the Elder, Ovid, Seneca, and Hesiod all describe these bewitching singers.
By the end of the Greek period, Grecian scholars had concluded that the women were no more than fable
-yet their legend lived on for centuries after the Greek civilization crumbled away.
The sirens are one of the most famous creatures of the world,
this is due for their high, clear singing voices, which were so full of emotion that they drove men insane.
They also can accompany their voices with musical instruments: lyres, flutes, and pipes.
They also had or claimed to have prophetic abilities, which lent depth to the lyrics of their songs.
Although the original sirens have gone out of fashion,
siren-mermaid hybrids are still incredibly popular.
They can be found in all sorts of works of fantasy, from fairytales written by
Hans Christian Anderson and CS Lewis to blockbuster movies like Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Both these creatures had their mythical stories,
mermaid and siren both were known for their beauties and different behavioral features that they can or can´t do.
They were the most attractive and seducing women.

I mean patients I wish I could go back 12 years ago the patients I did fusion I wish
I could offer what I'm offering now with the artificial disc.
But again we didn't really know the technology and the results that were.
Now, we've had over 7 year results 10 year results and we seen some phenomenal results
with artificial disc in the neck and what I've learned is that okay if it doesn't work
you have not burn any bridges you can always convert it into a fusion later but I've also
learned that you can actually convert it to maybe a bigger artificial disc or a different
size artificial disc and that may work.
So there are this fantastic options which we were not able to offer 5 years ago to the
patients and this has been another great milestone that has been achieved to push and revolutionize
the field of spine surgery
