(Singing) I know my God has made the way for
me. I know my God has made the way for me.
ANNOUNCER: Today, on the Believer's Voice of Victory,
Kenneth Copeland continues to share more
insight into spiritual laws. Apply the law of words to
every aspect of your life, and know that
believing and speaking come before receiving.
KENNETH: Hello, everybody. Welcome to Tuesday's
edition of the Believer's Voice of Victory Broadcast. Father,
thank You for Your Word today. We're studying it, and we're
living in it, and it's studying us and living in us and we are
so grateful to You for it today. And in the name of the Lord
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray for this radio and
television audience all over the world. And, open the eyes of all
of our understanding and flood our hearts with light today, in
the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Welcome to school this
morning, praise God! Kenneth Copeland Bible College is in
session today. Amen. Hallelujah. Now, yesterday, I'm just not
real sure what I said because I didn't say anything I planned to
say when I got here. Praise God. I like it when it's like that.
So, now if they have questions on the test about what I said
yesterday, I'll have to go back and watch the program. This is a
good point to mention this. He gave gifts unto men, Apostles,
prophets, evangelist, pastors, teachers. For the first 10 years
of this ministry, I operated in the office of the teacher. I was
anointed to stand in that office. Then in 1977, at a Camp
Meeting in Tulsa, Brother Hagen called me out and separated me
into the office of the prophet. Well, I still teach, but I am
called and stand in the office of the prophet and teacher. You
remember at Antioch, there were prophets and teachers. Paul and
Barnabas were part of that team. Barnabas a teacher, Paul a
prophet, but they left there Apostles. So, this is important.
All of this has to do with the laws of the spirit that govern
the kingdom of God, but I just wanted to pass this along to you
because you're going to be experiencing it, particularly in
your callings and ministry as you go forward. Now, there are
just times when I've got things all arranged in my mind and all,
and particularly teaching them and, in fact, oh, Dear Lord, how
I love it, glory to God, I'd just rather teach than just
about do anything. But then what happened yesterday, I began to
teach and the prophets anointing began to function
and it just seemed like ... and we wound up at Shunammite's
house. Amen. Well, I had a clue of that earlier before we began
today but I just want to share that with you as students of the
ministry, this will come in and become very enlightening later.
Let's go back to Mark 11:22, once again. Jesus said, "Have
faith in God, for verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall
say unto this mountain, 'Be thou removed, be thou cast into the
sea', and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that
those things which he saith, shall come to pass. He shall
have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what
things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you
receive them and you shall have them." The believing comes
first, then comes the having. "And when you stand praying,
forgive, if you have ought against any, that your Father
which is also in Heaven may forgive you, your trespasses."
So, now we've talked about the first fundamental of faith is to
believe it in your heart and say it with your mouth and then we
talked considerably about acting on your faith and corresponding
action. Now last week, we talked about the woman healed of the
issue of blood. She believed in her heart and she said, the
Greek word, lego, she kept saying, she kept saying, she
kept saying, if I but touch His clothes, I shall be made whole,
I will be whole. I will be whole. Jesus said, "Daughter,
thy faith had made thee whole." So she got exactly what she
said, right? All right, so that's faith, corresponding
action. She could have sat right there in that room believing
that and it would have been right, and died, without the
corresponding action. Or had she changed what she was saying. If
she just gravitated over into saying something else because
she began to think, "Ain't no way I'm going to be able to
touch the hem of His garment. How can I do that? I'm not
allowed to get out of the house. I'm bleeding now." And let her
thinking get into her mouth instead of her faith coming out
of her spirit into her mouth. I've just got to have some kind
of answer to this because there is no way I'm going to be able
to touch the hem of His garment. Now, she's talking out of her
head, talking out of her mind, because why? Things look
impossible. Well, it was. It was incurable, it's impossible,
everything is against it, not only legally but everything is
against it, I mean she physically, she just can't do
this. But she did. Amen? She did. Changed things, too, didn't
it? All right. So, she said, number two, she believed, she
saw herself whole. Number three, she came and touched. Number
four, she told it. Amen. All right, now then, let's go to ...
in another part. Let's see Lord, which one do You want ... I'll
tell you, let's take a look at Jairus. Go back to the Mark,
chapter five, that's where the woman healed of the issue of
blood, and that's also where Jairus is. Verse 20, now when
Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much
people gathered unto Him and He was nigh unto the sea. So, He
had gone across the Galilee, ministered to man of Gadarenes,
and then came back, where? Home. Yeah, good, he came home,
Capernaum. And so, much people gathered unto Him and he was
nigh unto the sea. He was right there on the shore. And behold,
now that said behold, so let's look. There cometh one of the
rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and when he saw Him, he
fell at His feet and besought Him greatly, saying, "My little
daughter, life at the point of death, I pray Thee, come and lay
Thy hands on her, that she may be healed and she shall live."
Does that sound like faith to you? Man, I'm telling you. He
believed it in his heart. And he got to Him, he was there waiting
on Him. And he was ready. The minute He walked on there, it
didn't make any difference, I mean, he could have had on his
very best suit, he didn't care, just fall in the mud, right
there where he was. He is on a mission. The Shunammite woman
was on a mission. Glory to God. Something wrong with their
babies and they're on a mission, they're going to get this thing
fixed. Hallelujah. All right, Jesus went with him. Now that's
a good thing, isn't it? Jesus went with him, faith moved him.
Now here's this whole throng of people, He didn't pay any
attention to any of them. Man, faith moved Him, didn't it? He
is headed home with him. Jesus went with him and much people
followed Him and thronged Him and now, the woman with the
blood issues, stopped Jesus, so faith put Him on the move and
faith stopped Him. Now, verse 35, while He yet spake, there
came from the ruler of the synagogue's house, certain which
said, "They daughter is dead, why troublest thou the Master
any further?" As soon as Jesus heard the Word that was spoken,
He said unto the ruler of the synagogue, "Be not afraid, only
believe." Now, in the eighth chapter of Luke, accounting of
this same incident, Jesus said, now this is very significant, He
said, "Fear not." Stop it. I want you to take very careful
notice how Jesus dealt with death. What was the first thing
He went after? Fear, the Father of Death. Satan is the Spirit of
Fear, he's the Spirit of Death. Jesus went directly after the
fear. "Stop the fear, believe only, she will be made whole."
What a statement. "Stop the fear, believe only, she will be
made whole." Believe what? Believe what you said. You've
already said it, so believe it, keep believing it, don't get off
of it, believe it. Stop the fear. The fear of death is the
master fear. All fear is based on the fear of death. You're not
afraid of flying, you're afraid of dying. I mean, that's where
all fear comes from. And one way or the other, it is, since Satan
is the Spirit of Fear, Satan is the Spirit of Death, amen, then
you can just make yourself a list and start off with the fear
of death. Well the first death on this planet was murder. So
fear of people, shyness, all of it goes back to there. So that's
part of the law. I'm talking about Levitical law, I'm talking
about spiritual law. Amen. It's part of the spiritual laws that
governed everything. Everything. The reason fear is so easy, is
because we've been trained in it. But on the other hand, you
can get trained in the Word of God but we're not out to manage
the fear, we should manage it but perfected love gets rid of
it. Perfected, developing, growing, maturing, revelation of
love, walking in love, living love, with love on your mind,
God is love, glory to God. He Casts out fear. That
Word cast, in First John 4:16, is the same word, to flush. It
just builds up and builds up until it just flushes the fear
out of there and there's just not any left. Well, what's left?
Faith. Glory to God. I done preached me happy today. Praise
God. Thank you, Lord Jesus. So now then, Jesus heard the Word
that was spoken. Now, this is big class, this is huge. When
you're walking by faith and your heart and your mind is tied up
in Jesus and He is on your mind or His Word is on your mind,
particularly in this place where you are standing and you're
standing on His Word and that Word has gotten so real, where
if somebody just mentions it and He jumps out of your mouth.
And you just keep walking by it, and you just keep walking in it,
and just keep living it and just ... where it just becomes so big
and just so real, that you'll find out, when the world says
something, when the devil says something, the word, Jesus, is
right there to answer him. It's just right there to
answering, glory to God. In other words, they came up there
and said, you know, your baby is dead, don't bother the Master
anymore. Jesus just turned around and said, "I got this."
Man, what a place to lose it. How easy that would have been.
Sometime, just go through this incident, read it in the book of
Luke, read it here in the book of Mark and look at all the
places Jairus had an opportunity to fail this. So, and here's one
of them right here. Verse 37, Jesus suffered no man to follow
Him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
Well, what about me Jesus, why don't I get to come in there?
Oh, no, he don't love me anymore. Maybe that's the reason
He won't let you come in there, you're too immature. Somebody
had to manage that crowd. And you're going inside a man's
home. Amen. And everybody else knew what they was supposed to
do. They're standing strong. So I notice, He walks in there and
says, "Why make thee this ado and weep, the damsel is not
dead, she sleepeth." He called things to be not as though they
were. And they laughed Him, to scorn. They laughed Him to scorn
but when He had put them all out, they laughed Him to scorn,
when He put them all out, kinfolks, mother-in-law, Uncle
Fred, you know, the whole bunch. Put them all out. What do you
think Jairus is thinking? What do you think Mrs. Jairus is
thinking? Now let me submit this to you. I can't prove it is, you
can't prove it isn't, but because of what we know about
the locale, what we know about the situation, we know this is
Jesus' hometown synagogue, we know that there's no record of
anybody being hostile to Him in that synagogue, we know that
Jairus knew Him and He knew Jairus. He was welcome in that
home, but not so much by the kinfolks because we don't know
what they thought about Him. They obviously didn't like this
because they scorned Him. That's the reason they had to be moved
out. Come on, Brother Copeland, this is Jesus. I know it, but
it's also Jairus and his wife. They had to stay strong. They
can't be looking over their shoulder at her mother,
wondering what she's thinking about this. See, all of that had
to be because faith has been spoken and after all,
Grandmother is going to be really thrilled in a few
moments. She's not going to be scornful anymore when she comes
in there and baby girl is sitting over there at the table,
having something to eat. Oh, now Jesus is the hero. Amen. Isn't
that good? Somebody say, "Amen." Praise God. Thank you, Lord. So,
this is so good and so big. He entered in where the damsel was
lying, took her by the hand. What did Jairus say? "My little
daughter lies to the point of death, life at the point of
death, I pray Thee, come and lay Thy hands on her, that she may
be healed and she shall live." He took her by the hand. He's
doing exactly what Jairus's faith demanded. He didn't have
to touch her. He could have just spoken to her. Did He touch the
woman with the issue of blood? No. She touched His clothes. But
He said, "Daughter, your faith made you whole." He didn't have
to lay hands on her. But Jairus's faith demanded that. It
was scriptural and he had his faith on that, so that's exactly
the way Jesus responded. That is just, in my heart and my mind,
that is just huge. How much time do I have, Tim? Not much. Now
notice this, He took the damsel by the hand and said ... He did
what? He said, do you think he believed it in his heart? Well
absolutely, but the thing is, so did Jairus and his wife. They
believed it in their heart and He said, "Talitha cumi," which
is being interpreted, "Damsel, I say unto thee, arise." Words,
faith filled words, dominate the law of sin and death. I'm going
to say it to you again. Faith filled words dominate the law of
sin and death. Come on, hallelujah! Praise God for ever
more. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Praise You, Lord Jesus. He
believed it in His heart, he said it with his mouth and
straightway, immediately the damsel arose and walked. She was
the age of 12 years and they were astonished with the great
astonishment and He charged them straightly, no man should know
it and commanded that something should be
given her to eat. Praise God. And we're out of time
again. Boy, I tell you, something is wrong with
your clock, Tim. Praise God. Hallelujah. Amen.
