If you're not okay with seeing an old man butt every like 5 minutes of this show, don't
watch it.
If you're not okay with sex scenes approximately every three minutes of this show, don't
watch it.
If you like Victorian outfits, watch it.
[swoosh] Hi NaturallyCurly world, I'm Grace.
Welcome to Watch & Go, the show where we do our hair and talk about tv shows, movies,
things we watch, things we listen to.
Harlots is a new Hulu series so it's only available on Hulu and it is rated mature because
it's about - you guessed it!
- Harlots.
So if any of you are watching with your children, if you are under 18, if you shouldn't be
watching this, TURN ME OFF!
If you're of age, then let's talk about Harlots.
[swoosh]
I have a boarding house for young ladies.
[Sleigh Bells' Crown On The Ground plays]
The city is made of our flesh.
We'll have our piece of it.
I offer you love.
For a harlot that doesn't exist.
I'm gonna use DevaCurl's Buildup Buster instead of my shampoo.
In honor of Small Business Month, which is May, I'm gonna be using the Two Girls With
Curls conditioner.
I'm gonna use this Tea Tree Scalp Care Anti-Thinning Root Lift Foam, haven't used it before,
hopefully it's good.
A little bit of Briogeo Curl Charisma Leave-In Defining Creme, and some DevaCurl Soft Hold
No-Crunch Styler.
I just washed, conditioned, put in some leave-in, and put my hair up in this tee towel.
Harlots is set in 18th century London and it's basically exactly what the name says.
So there are two rival houses, and they're basically trying to like…destroy each other.
So one of the houses is like the up-and-coming house, it's not as classy and they don't
live in as nice of a house.
And then the other house is like where all of the fancy harlots are, and you have to
like know an instrument and like two languages and like be really well groomed and stuff
to be a harlot there.
But they also abuse their harlots really badly.
As they say in the show, sex work is the world's oldest profession, it still exists today.
It definitely existed back then.
I actually did not realize like the extent to which it existed.
I think it's like one in three women in that time period did some form of sex work.
Back then it was like one of the only professions that women could do and make good money at.
Also in this show there are like these puritan ladies who go around like cursing the harlots
and they wear like these like lace things that only show their face and they like come
around here and then the rest of them is covered.
It looks really uncomfortable.
They stand outside screaming in the streets about how like everyone in there is going
to hell and like what big sinners they are.
There's like a sex scene and you can hear them screaming outside about how you're
like going to hell and stuff which is totally a buzzkill if you're trying to get down,
you know.
So, I'm rooting for the lower house because the madam at the upper house is the one who
like abuses all the harlots and she's like super manipulative and the one in like the
less nice house has like come up from the streets and she's like climbing her way
up the harlot ladder and I'm like you go, madam!
Oh another thing that I constantly think about while I'm watching this show is hygiene,
okay?
Do they shower every day?
Do they bathe between clients?
How do they—is there protection?
Like, oh my gosh.
And at one point I think one of the harlots dies of the the plague.
Because that was a thing back then.
The.
Plague.
The pla-the literal plague.
The Black Plague.
It's really stressful, if you're someone who like is into hygiene.
So basically, anyone.
Prepare to be stressed.
I'm gonna put this, uh, root lift foam in my hair.
One of the things that bothered me the most about this show is that the mistress of the
lower house, she has two daughters, and she sells their virginity.
She goes to the opera and she's like, I'm taking closed envelope bids.
For my daughters virginity.
Yeah, so it's, uh, it can be a pretty grim show, for sure.
Okay, I'mma put some of this gel in now.
Is it a show about female empowerment?
No, not really.
I put my hair back into a plop after I put the gel in just to set it a little bit, and
now I'm gonna…diffuse it.
Okay so this is my finished wash and go.
It's looking different than usual.
I don't dislike it, it just looks different.
It's fine.
I like it.
I don't know.
I would give Harlots a 3.5 out of 5, I'm going to keep watching it just because I am
loving the whole rival houses drama.
It's definitely not a show for everyone, obviously, because of the subject matter,
so think twice before you watch it but if you're into that kinda thing, definitely
watch it.
Have you watched this show?
What'd you think?
Do you have any other suggestions about what I should watch?
Or product recommendations?
Hit me up.
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to our page, we have Watch & Gos every Wednesday
and videos every Friday, and I'll see you next time.
Bye!

Cortana attracts developers to build skills - Duration: 1:35.
AI is not the future anymore, it's here.
We can use it.
"Hi Ariel, you have two urgent messages."
"It will take you two minutes to complete."
We developers need to follow the stream.
We need to develop what people need.
You push a button and publish that skill on
Cortana's skill store, and it's boom available.
It's phenomenal.
Cortana has the kind of reach that no other platform has.
You've got millions of devices and user that are leveraging
Cortana to do their day-to-day job.
Technology-wise and support-wise it is really amazing right now.
By partnering with Microsoft, there's nothing more which a
small company can dream about.
Cortana is unique in the way that it's a hybrid platform.
You get a visual experience and it engages all the senses.
When using Bot Framework you are writing the code once.
You can now publish it to many different channels.
Microsoft understand developers and technology.
If they're happy building on your platform they can focus on
the things that they're really good at.
It's very easy to go from an idea,
to building a Cortana skill
very, very quickly.
Voice recognition, natural language processing,
this is all on the cutting edge.
It's good to be here early learning about it together
with our partners.
What really excited me about this partnership is the ability
to take this dream and make it a reality.
It's all just a new space that we're all learning and growing
in, and Cortana skills will continue to evolve and I'm
really excited to see where it's going to go.

DIY How-To | No-Sew Hooded Sorcerer Style Cape Tutorial for Beginners | Any Fabric - Duration: 5:32.
What's up guys, welcome back to my channel.
If you're new to my channel, then welcome, I'm Bonnie
Today I'm going to be showing you guys how to create
this super easy, DIY, inexpensive, hooded cape.
Now if you're like me and you're into anything like:
Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time...
Any of those types of shows or stories...
Then you will find it as cool as I did to be able to make
one of these capes.
It shouldn't take you longer than 30 minutes
to make this, and for this tutorial you're not going to
need a sewing machine or a needle & thread.
This is a great piece to make for Halloween or for
anything where you need a quick costume.
And it definitely won't cost you more than $20 dollars.
This would be perfect for any kind of makeup look or
Halloween look where you want to be a wizard,
or a witch, or a vampire.
Anything that would need a cape.
You can make this with or without the hood,
and as short or long as you want it.
And I will have all of the material I used linked & listed
below; they all came from Hobby Lobby.
I tried to make this tutorial as simplistic & quick
as possible.
A real cool SFX makeup tutorial will follow this video,
So if you're not already, make sure you subscribe,
and hit the notifications bell so you get notified
when I upload and you don't miss it.
I hope you all enjoy this tutorial, and let's jump into it.
So you're gonna need some kind of fabric.
I got "Penne Velvet" from Hobby Lobby for 40% off.
You'll need some ribbon.
You may need a marker pencil.
You'll definitely need a tape measure,
and scissors,
and some fabric glue.
Having some fabric pins on hand would definitely be
helpful too.
So first we're going to start making the rectangle for the
hood.
I wanted mine to be really baggy & oversized so
I did 26" x 28" as the measurements.
I'm using pins to mark off these measurements
because the white pencil wasn't working on this material.
I will tell how to find your measurments in the
description box.
Once you have marked off all of your measurements,
you're just going to cut along those lines.
It doesn't have to be perfect
especially is this is just for a makeup look for
Instagram or whatever; a quick costume.
The lines don't have to be perfect, perfect.
So once you have your rectangle for your hood,
go ahead and cut off the excess and even out
the end of your material.
So now taking the rectangle that we cut,
You're gonna fold it inside out along the shorter side.
Then you're just going to open one end,
and place your fabric glue along the edge.
Then put it back together
and press it down.
If the glue bleeds through to the surface beneath it,
don't worry it's water soluble;
you can clean it right up.
Now on the other end of your rectangle,
You're going to fold the edge up about 1 inch.
Make a tiny slit a 1/2 an inch front the front.
One inch from that, make another slit.
And then every 2 inches after that.
At this point, set your hood aside and let the glue dry.
Now taking what's left of your material
we're going to use that for the cape.
Find the edge that you want to go around your neck,
and fold that over, about 1 inch.
and pin it.
Then go ahead and make little slits every 2 inches
along the whole edge of the cape,
just like we did on the hood.
Now take the pins out of your cape
and if your hood is dry you can connect the two.
How you do that, is line up the hood in the middle
of the cape, and then your just going to start weaving
the lace ribbon into the holes.
I don't think there has to be a particular way to do this.
I just weaved in and out of the hood and then into the cape,
and so on and so forth.
You can see how simple this is.
It would really be great for a last minute costume.
Sidenote, for this project I used 3 yards of material.
I'm 5'5" and this goes all the way to my feet.
Now you're just going to take the other end of the ribbon
and do the exact same thing on the other side.
Once you've connected both sides of your hood,
your'e just going to weave the ribbon
in and out
through out all of the rest of the holes left
in the sides of the cape.
For this, I did not wrap the lace over the edge
of the material. I just kept it going
in a straight line and wove it in and out of the holes.
Do this on both sides
and then you can pull your material tight.
Then go ahead and lightly burn the edges of your lace
so they dont have any frayed ends.
At this point you're done and ready to try it on.
So, that's all for this tutorial.
I hope you all found it easy and simplistic.
If you have any questions please feel free to
comment below.
I will try to answer them as best I can.
