FIDGET Spinning in SLOW MOTION!! - Duration: 7:22.

It breaks!

Egg yolk runs in the middle!

Hi! I'm Ketchup Jo!

Last clip I show you tricks of the Fidget Spinner.

Some may called Hand spinner.

Since I made that clip, I couldn't stop playing it.

I've been practicing new moves.

From that clip, many comments asking...

Where did I get the fidget spinner?

Now you can find it anywhere.

I bought this thing from University market.

So when I played this thing,

This thing can spin so fast!

How fast can it go?

So, Let's get out and test it.

We gonna find out how fast this thing can go?

Now, I prepared things for our experiment.

And I will this air pressure pump.

Let's find out how fast this thing can go.

Let me take of my coat.

Let's see what I have prepared.

This pump can pressure the air.

as high as 120 PSI

So I will blow air to the spinner.

Blowing on the side, let find out!

*Kids should have grown ups for advise.

It spin so fast! I don't think I should...

It was super fast, and it is very dangerous.

I will use this clamp to hold it.

When we talked about danger.

We say "Dangerous"

or you would say "This is very dangerous! "

I'm gonna clamp the spinner to this piece of wood.

And we will blow and see how fast it can go.

Did you hear the noise?

It sounds like motorcycle.

It is super fast

Look it is still spinning! Look!

Hostage of Europe Episode 02 - ''UNHCR's irresponsible and shameful misdirection'' - Duration: 19:16.

hi everyone this is second Episode of

''Hostage of Europe'' in hopes of getting

this story out and also reaching out

to those who really care for refugees as well as

to find a real and practical solution

for my case I have decided to publicize

an outrageous situation which is

developing right now in front of UNHCR's

office in Athens, Greece. I will begin by

giving a short introduction about myself

the story is too long with too much

details so I can't include them all in this

episode. Originally I'm

Kurdish born from today's Iran's

territorial region. Practically I had

become a refugee over 12 years ago. Now

I'm trapped in Europe for over two years

since ... since all the relevant

authorities were deliberately not giving

they needed response to this

outrageous situation I have decided to

enter into a hunger strikes more

than two months ago my life is

practically frozen since the first day

of my arrival in this silly continent

as a refugee I am in need of effective

protection a durable and sustainable

solution which in practice cannot be

found in Greece as the only legal way

out of his horrendous situation and

since my case is already fulfilling the

three of the resettlement criteria

that's why I am appealing to the

relevant authorities, UNHCR and

resettlement countries, to consider my

case for resettlement.

right now I am doing this recording from

inside of a tent in front of UNHCR's

main office in Athens Greece I have very

limited resources in terms of

electricity access to computer internet, etc.

that's why I need to ...

need to make these series of episodes as

short as possible in each part I am

going to speak about one particular

subject I would be glad to hear about

your comments and feedbacks in the

comment section below and this is

part in this part I am going to talk

about UNHCR's irresponsible and shameful

misdirection provided to me when I first

approached their office for the proper

guidance and correct information about

Greece's and Europe's asylum system that

happened before I make myself known to

the Greek, to the state authorities in

Greece. Considering the horrible

situations in Greece known to everybody

and are becoming worse than worse day by

day

staying in Greece was always out of

option but also going to people

smugglers wasn't a good idea as well.

So, basically I was looking for a legal way

to live Greece and have the possibility

to settle in other EU countries that was

the only and the very reason I

approached the United Nations refugee

agency in Athens, Greece, before I make

myself known to the state

authorities in Greece. During a

conversation or the phone UNHCR was

verbally well informed about my case and

the reasons

for leaving the Middle East as well as

the reasons for approaching their office

and therefore was kindly asked for the

proper guidance and information based on

which I could arrive at a decent

decision for my life.

UNHCR had verbally told me that I had to

make myself known to the Greek

authorities in Greece, wait for a

decision on my case

if successful, get to prepare documents

and then legally leave the

country and go other EU countries and

settle, settle there. So I told myself if

there is a legal way to be resettled in

other EU countries then why should I pay

people smugglers to get me there, the

money which goes to them, I would spend -

to cover my needs - and establish a new life in the

second country in EU. that's why on my

own expenses and without getting any

support from anybody I spent many months (10 months)

in Greece just to get those papers and then

leave when finally I had those papers I

left immediately. After leaving Greece

after leaving Greece at the end of a

long and exhausting journey I was

eventually found myself in Sweden after

almost three months there it was a

shocking moment to find out that Sweden , Swedish authorities are going to send

me back to Greece exactly exactly

because of the same papers which supposed

to save me from people smugglers and

give me a legal way to arrive in other

EU countries and legally settle there.

there is no doubt that Sweden

definitely made a poor decision on my

case they even refused to provide me

with a lawyer

on all the occasions and they send me

back to Greece illegally. they sent me

back to Greece because of Europe's immoral

and inhumane asylum system and basically

Dublin regulations which I knew

nothing about and I wasn't given any

relevant information in that regards

nor by the UNHCR in my first approach to

them nor by the relevant state

authorities in Greece. since my

deportation from Sweden to Greece which took place in September 2015

practically I'm on the streets with no

support from anywhere find myself with a

bigger with a bigger bigger problem than

the original one, an extended suffering

mainly resulted from UNHCR's

irresponsible

and shameful misdirection. Since in

practice Greece cannot protect refugees

there is no effective protection durable

and sustainable solution in this country

and also since because of the Dublin

regulations I can't go other EU

countries now I'm trapped in an endless

circle of an unfair and unjust struggle

between embassies of two other countries

outside of this silly continent and the

United Nations Refugee Agency. Since

my case at least

fulfills three of the resettlement

criteria I am appealing for resettlement

to either Canada or USA. Globally it's UNHCR

which is in charge of refugee

resettlement and finding them effective

protection durable and sustainable

solution that's possibly why

both embassies are Just shooting me

back to the United Nations Refugee

Agency to get a referral letter from

them but this organization even after

it's own shameful misdirection

deliberate delays to all my appeals for

over one and a half year still

doesn't want to step up and take care of

the situation. In fact whenever I went to

their office they just called the police I

have been in the police station so

many times and so many hours just for

going to those people and asking for help

from them. Providing incomplete

information which practically changes the

whole direction of one person's life is

an irresponsible act and it should be

condemned by everyone because it's

criminal. What's happening to me

shouldn't be happening to anyone in this

world yet after two months of hunger

strike in front of their office still I

cannot imagine a possible way out it's

the kind of an irony that the same people

and the same organization which supposed to

protect refugees is now nothing but only

a greedy Monster which only makes Fame

and money out of human suffering an

organization which only interested in

itself and its employees rather than

refugees and in what is best for them as

a refugee one might ask what is the use

of UNHCR when it does nothing good

for us. Refugees don't need a Refugee Chief

or a refugee organization when

it can

neither provides them with a safe

passage nor resettlement opportunities.

in solidarity with my situation

yesterday on Friday 19th May there was a

little demonstration over here it

happened to have a chance to talk to

UNHCR but they told us refugees

cannot enter UNHCR's building can

you imagine that refugees cannot

enter UNHCR's buildings so we had

to take the conversation to a space

provided outside of their office how

refugees cannot even enter an

organization's facility which meant

serve refugees and refugees interests.

Here I have no access to legal

assistance nor legal counseling, my

health is critical and they are not even

providing me with doctors or the needed

medical cares. it looks like even if I

pass out here they are even going to

deny me being there on hunger strike in

front of their office for this long

basically

once again they want to send me to the

people smugglers but I can't I am a

genuine refugee, my status is clear I

can't have a life in Greece my life is

frozen here basically looted in Europe

rather than finding refuge there I

needed to be I need to be resettled

through legal procedures what I asked

for is rightful legit and legal. that's

why my message to the relevant

authorities is short, clear and simple.

Appealing to the United Nations refugee

agency UNHCR to stop its immoral and

outrageous behaviors and thus take

immediate action for my resettlement either from Greece or to direct me to

another UNHCR office inside or outside

of Europe which does resettlement.

Appealing to both appealing to both

Canadian and U.S. embassies for their

kind intervention - to end this harsh

circumstances in front of UNHCR if they

really care for refugees I would expect

them to help my case for the settlement

either of these countries or to send

their delegates to negotiate a safe

passage with Me. A safe passage which

allows me as a genuine Refugee

to first enter either of these countries and

to be allowed to seek protection

there later upon arrival I would gladly

pay for this

safe passage but I cannot go to people

smugglers I can't.

Appealing to the Greek and European

officials please take back your please

take back your fucking fake protection

your fucking fake protections and just

let me go I made a mistake seeking refuge

in this silly continent I thought you

were human enough to give in to give a

place of refuse to those in need which you

are found to be the exact opposite, you

are a bunch of monsters hindering

refugees lives for your own political

gains, you are the kind of vampires

which are sucking the blood out of refugees. Stop killing us,

just let us go. that's ... that's in

compliance with you own law with

your own law, European law, European

regulation, EU directive 2001 51 EC.

Appealing to the Greek society and Greek media

Greece cannot protect refugees, stop

inflicting pain and suffering on

innocent people, while you pretend

protecting them. If Greece is a

democratic society which I don't think

it is please tell everyone to come here

at UNHCR's main office to show support

and solidarity with me. Michalakopoulou 91

okay

Michalakopoulou 91, don't forget that. I

just made a mistake coming to your

country and Europe as a whole I need to

go I need to go, no one has the right to

push me to stay in this country to

suffer here all along.

I need a legal way which is right now in

the hands of most most indecent people

ever ever known to me, the United

Nations Refugee Agency. I am all alone in

this unjust and unfair struggle that's

why I need your help and your support.

Appealing to the public and the media

and whoever else watching whoever else

watching seeing this video please

distribute and share that with everybody

with everyone you can. Don't forget again

don't forget to let me know about your

feedbacks in the comment section below.

So, that's it for now and thank you so much

for watching, take care, bye ...

Indiana Josh 2: The Medallion of Morbid Laughter - Duration: 14:48.

GET THAT SLITHERING TERROR NOODLE AWAY FROM ME!!!

But I think he likes you!

*from off screen* If God wanted it to move, he wouldn't have taken its legs away!

And that class, is why Benjamin Franklin was the greatest president in American History.

Uhhhh... Mr. Jones?

Dr.

Dr. Jones, I don't think Ben Franklin was a president...

How do you spell your name Stephen?

With a ph..?

Right. Not with a PHD. Be quiet.

*knock on wood*

Uh Jones? Sorry to interrupt, I need a moment of your time...

Jones this is a class of 37 where are your kids?

There's one...

Two...

*Whip sound effect*

I was in the middle of a lecture, whats this about??

Damnit Jones, your lecture can wait! This is important.

What's more important than the guy in my wallet?

*door slams*

How about national security!?

I'm here on behalf of the United States gov. sanctioning you to another mission

Now...

I saw what you did with the tiki of exploding heads... very impressive. But now I need you to do it again...

this time for your country.

You don't understand, I gave that life up! I just want to be a simple history teacher who is grossly overqualified.

Damn it Jones, have you no pride?? This is uncle Sam we're talkin' about here!

*blows on flag*

Think about what's at risk!!

Well I do look good in a hat...

Very good. Like I said, we've been watching you...

Now...

The artifact that I need you to get is a medallion, that when worn causes the wearer to burst out in to...

fits of laughter until they does of asphyxiation.

A necklace you can't wear? Smart. So where am I going this time? Cave? Jungle?

The thing is... the artifact is already in safe hands

So what do you need me for?

Well you see... she is a friend of yours

Who?

You're not going to like this...

Oh God...

*Whip sound effect*

* Country music plays in background*

Give me the strongest you've got miss, tonight I just want to forget.

Oh the strongest I've got isn't enough to forget you Josh, try as I might...

How'd you find me?

Don't they say love always finds you?

Maybe if "love" didn't pack its bags while everyone else was asleep...

Look Marion...

No don't 'look Marion' me! What is it this time Josh? You need me to shave your back again?

You want me to tell you I'm an idiot because I actually believed you loved me!

Marion...

*coughs obnoxiously*

Uh. Who is that?

Ignore him.

Well actually Marion, I'm just here for a medallion. So if you could get me that, I'll be out of your life for good.

Funny. I already thought you were.

*Coughs again*

Seriously, what's this guy's deal..?

Got a cough there, bud?

I said just leave it alone. Chad, calm down!

Hey buddy...

you starin?

you starion?

you starion at my Marion??

Just here to get a drink, pal.

Yeah, to get a drink of that tall glass of water right there.. but that's MY Marion. Get your own.

*chuckles* been there done that, Chad...

I get it, one mans trash is another mans treasure and all but if I were you I'd keep the receipt on this one...

*slap*

Would it kill you to treat me with half an ounce of respect??

Maybe it would.

Funny. Where did that old 'Josh Jones Charm' go? You're really dropping the ball on this one...

Well lucky for me I see a rebound right there...

Hello Chad.

How long has that guy been passed out?

To be honest, I thought he came with the place.

Estrovia!

Marion, I need the Medallion of Morbid laughter. The Nazis are after it, and...

While you have it, you are in danger...

Fine. It's at my house. but after I take you there, you better be gone.

Thank you Marion.

Whatever. Just let me get my stuff.

Hey.

You look really good.

Thanks. You don't

I see you like smashing faces

The name's Bubbles

that's your name?

Yeah. Been here for God knows how long...

Is... is that?

yeah ever since Donna walked out I haven't felt much of anything...

Is that Magic Marker on your lip right there?

Just the warm taste of Whiskey running down my gullet

Real facial hair does NOT look like that!

*Loud screech*

Call me a Reuben on Wheat because I'm about to make some krauts sour!

*whip*

Marion, I thought you were in trouble?

Well how sweet of you, but I can take of myself.

What about the scream?

That was him! Let's go.

Ah. They're here

Wonderful.

Hail. Hail. Hail...

I did NAZI that coming

Let's go!

*Whip sound effect*

My house is that way!

AGH! The roads are blocked!

Oh Fuhrer is not going to like this... Oh nu uh.

Is there any other way?

You're not going to like it...

What?

The only other way is through...

Spooky Forest

*GASP*

Well lead the way

*Ominous music*

I've got a bad feeling about this...

LEAVE THIS PLACE!!!!

OH GOD.

OR FACE ETERNAL TORMENT

What did he say? Eternal torment?

We aren't leaving!

That was awful!

The Germans are here... I can sense them...

You can sense them?

Yeah...

and I can also see them right there

Unbelievable! Now i can't go home, and I had plans tonight, you know?

Really.? Did you plan on drinking and crying in the laundry room or the kitchen?

I'm sorry. That was uncalled for. I was just upset that you didn't like the spooky forest.

Thanks for helping me. Is there a back door?

Yeah, it's just down the hill. It should be unlocked.

What about our neighborhood friendly war criminal right there

won't she see?

Not if you distract her

Oh no way, I'm not risking my life for you

you could risk spending the rest of it with me?

Let's go Capt. Morgan

Yes ma'am

Stop in the name of the Fuhrer!

Fuhrer who?

I'm sorry miss, we're just lost and looking for directions...

Identification!

No. Directions!

Yeah, I know its hard... I get my letters mixed up too.

I'm not playing. Identify yourself or face the wrath of the Third Reich.

Okay okay, calm down Mr. Bossy Pants... Somebody needs a nap!

My name is Amy Schumer

I don't even know who you are... and you sound terrible.

yeah. Tell me about it!

Hey Sammy!

Yeah, get out of the shot please.

*whistles*

Woah what do you mean you are going to arrest us? There's got to be some mistake...

You cannot fool me Amy Schumer, you are housing contraband that directly endangers the Fuhrer!

Contra-what?

contra-BAND

*chuckles* No, I'm not in a band... I do sing a little bit though.

I don't know what you mean miss, I'm just an actress that has made quite a few poor career decisions

That's it, I am radioing the Fuhrer! He will be delighted to know that we have captured Amy Schumer.

Screw this.

Woah but Josh said-

I don't care what Josh said!

Really, a whip?

Hey Marion. Thanks

Just get the medallion and let's go

Nice shot. Let's go

BUBBLES WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET DOWN!!

Life is like a fleeting ember...

if today is my day then I must go...

WHAT?

I am too drunk to sit.

That was some fancy shootin there

Oh whatever

No, seriously!

You looked death in the face and kicked him in the spleen

It reminded me of how it used to be.

Maybe a little, but isn't it about time you went on home?

What if I told you, I am home?

No your charm isn't going to work this time, Josh Jones. I wasn't lying when I said you needed to go home

Okay. I'll go, I will. But can we pretend for just a moment, that I'm going to stay?

I hate you, Josh Jones.

I know.

Hey, what the hell is this?

No NO! Bubbles NO!

*laughs uncontrollably*

Bubbles?

BUBBLES!!

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOooOOOOOoooOOOOO

NOT AGAIN! NOOOOOO

*whip sound effect*

Excellent

This is great work, Dr. Jones.

But there is someone else here that wants to thank you...

M- Mr. President!

At ease. You've done your country a great service Jones. The United States thanks you.

Hey uh, aren't you going to take this?

Nope.

Well, couldn't you use it for something?

Use it? The hell for? This isn't desperate housewives, this is America. We've got bombs.

Won't they come looking?

This is a highschool. They're Nazis, not Nerdzis.

Ha! Got him, Mr. President.

You sure this is the safest place?

I couldn't think of any safer place, than right here.

Look Jones, no more wobbling!

So...

Indiana Josh just thinks he can step all over my toes forever does he?

Well...

I have news for you, Dr. Jones... You have foiled my plans for the last time!!

Only this time...

It's personal.

*laughs all evil*

*chokes* (stupid idiot)

Oh wow, I don't even need that stupid medallion to choke.

Indesign Basics Ep2 - Essential Tools Of InDesign | INDESIGN TUTORIAL - Duration: 7:23.

today I have the second installment of

the series of in design basics brought

to you by Satori graphics you're looking

at the essential tools of InDesign in

this InDesign tutorial

how's it going everyone did you have a

great weekend kicking things off this

week with an InDesign tutorial on the

essential tools or Adobe InDesign

in the first episode of indesign basics we

looked to the setting up a poster design for

print in indesign today we delve into

the essential tools of the powerhouse

software personally when you import

something to InDesign mixing blurry this

is probably due to the default preview

setting of InDesign and not being set a

high quality you can change that here

you can access a toolbar like so and

then click the changes layout in this

manner

first we are looking into selection

tools you realized they look similar to

the selection tools in Adobe Illustrator

and also you should know that every

single tool in the toolbar has a

keyboard shortcut access it the black

arrow tool aka the selection tool use

for editing and moving frames

InDesign puts everything into a frame to

take this business card here for example

the actual content is separate from the

surrounding frame if we move the frame

content blues with it the red line by

the way is just a bleed that and nothing

to do with the frame or the content

however if we select the icon in the

center of the selection tool it can move

the actual content without moving the

frame at the corners we can rotate the

frame and content like so we adjust the

frame in this way it will crop the

content without moving content itself if

we slowed the Waiariki the rec selection

tool remove the content without moving

the frame so as you can see frames and

content are separate just remember the

white arrows for the content and the

black arrows for the frame

if we use the free transform for our

graph you can even edit both the frame

and the content at the same time you can

set the type tool here or simply press T

on your keyboard then all you need to do

is to click and drag it to create a type

box and then put in your text

so we'll get you Tex and then head up to

the top to edit the layout like so okay

we can change the kerning and here we

can head in the way of the text with the

selection tool as I mentioned before we

can edit the frame and move the text

around

notice how the magenta smartguides up

here that tell us when something is

aligned on the page good objects

InDesign has a two rectangle tools

remember s10 design loves to use friends

one of them is a rectangle frame tool

when you make a rectangle with this tool

you'll have the X through the middle

like so because basically let us know

that this box is for adding objects on

content in tver for example we can place

a load that they're able inside impact

to what we learned by the selection tool

you can move the frame and a content or

just a logo itself

also you can add type directly into the

frame rectangle a regular rectangle to

acts like a rectangle tool in

Illustrator you can flick between the

stroke and a fill we can also type

directly into this one too with InDesign

on the rectangle tool we hold on the

click we can access other shapes it's

like an illustrator you can use the

pencil to create shapes as well and even

adjust the curves and anchor points with

direct selection tool as you would do in

Illustrator

you make a shape with the rectangle tool

we can then add a gradient fill in this

way

if you want to open up the gradient

window you can access it here the

gradient tools are located in the

toolbar and we're also able to add a

grade in this way to hold down shift the

keyboard line perfectly straight then we

can of course adjust the color of our

gradient like so lastly on this InDesign

tutorial if you take the scissors tool

and place the edges of the shape you can

create a divide essentially cutting the

shape of separate eyes

so did you finish InDesign tutorial on

the central tools to InDesign helpful

Why You Should Build A Large Instagram Followership - Social Media Minute - Duration: 2:39.

Hi, I'm Jan Rezab, this is Social Media Minute.

The hunt for followers is on again.

Remember when we talked about that followers really don't matter?

And on most platforms, they actually don't and that's it.

But they actually do matter on Instagram.

Because if you don't have any followers

no one is gonna be watching your stories.

Because you essentially have to follow someone on Instagram

in order to see their Stories.

Not only updates but actual Instagram Stories.

We've been mostly watching a rate

of the Stories to followers audience ratios.

And 1/3 to 1/5 of the audience

sees your Instagram Stories. That's a lot of activity in those Stories.

The problem that it naturally creates is that companies are now understanding

they have to start building a follower base on Instagram again.

And Instagram was very clever about this.

They do not allow to create follow ads on Instagram

which means most of the Instagram audience that companies actually do acquire

tend to be in some level organic.

And if they do launch follower campaigns

it usually ends up costing a lot of money.

Incomparable to the old Facebook likes.

It's now costing between 1.5 to several euros

to get a follower on Instagram.

That is very expensive. If you want a million followers

you're gonna end up paying several million dollars

for that campaign.

So that's not that easy and companies are still standing by and sort of thinking,

"Are we gonna make that investment or not?"

How do you go and acquire Instagram followers organically?

There are a couple ways you can do it.

You can do many influencer campaigns

and put in Stories that mention your brand.

Then ask the influencer to ask his audience to follow you.

You can do hashtag competitions or campaigns.

Again, asking people to follow you and your brand.

Or of course, do a campaign that generally integrates Instagram

so people go out and proactively find you.

These are couple of the ways

but followers, unfortunately, it's very sad to say,

starting mattering again.

Good luck with gaining them and watch us every Monday morning.

BRUSHLESS MAKEUP | TRACY CAMPOLI | EASY GRWM MAKEUP TUTORIAL - Duration: 16:19.

hi i'm Tracy and welcome back to my channel

and today I'm going to share with you

how to get this look this makeup look

using zero brushes so if you want to

learn all of this make sure to keep

watching if you're new in my channel

hello I'm Tracy and I put out brand

new fitness wellness and lifestyle

videos every single week so make sure

that you subscribe to my channel so that

you and never miss a video so let's get

started with this absolutely brushless

makeup look so I'm starting already with

my foundation and my conceal are already

complete I did that just because you've

seen we do that before in other videos

it's pretty much always the same so I

can link on any of those videos up here

if you really want to watch it and I

also did my eyebrows and I did that also

because you know my eyebrows are really

simple easy to fill a min with a pencil

then I use a little bit of clear eyebrow

gel so let's get into this good stuff

here so we're going to start with broad

things it's going to be super fun and

boy are we going to use your best makeup

to leverage your fingers so I'm starting

off with this is from wet and wild and

it is a contour stick we're going to

actually use this as my bronzer so pray

for me peeps so that i can actually

blend this nicely using my fingers so

I'm going to just go a little line in

here you know super gorge right and then

kind of create a little bit in the

forehead and then I'm going to do a

little alongside of mine

here and then i'll just do this later so

you know you got your paint on and then

just using your fingers we want to melt

this in to the skin this actually I love

this product again it's wet and wild

with drug stores super cheap I just got

it on a whim I was like oh let me just

check it out I actually really really

like it i think the formulation is great

for a drugstore product it gives a

really nice color you know super

inexpensive and him out it does the

trick so so here's why I love you know

using your fingers actually is that you

know you've got the warmth from your

skin and the warmth from your fingers is

going to actually sort of like melt the

products into your skin which is such a

cool thing because it just gives you

like a softer look I find it's a little

bit more natural and it is this kind of

like light contour here okay a little

bit so blend blend blend blend like crazy

okay and then I'm going to actually just

put some on the back of my hand here and

use that just to warm up the skin just a

little bit more you know now we're kind

of like not into contour but it's

actually just more like a bronzer so

just like I would any place where I

wanted to put bronzer on my face you

just you know just make sure again that

you are really really blending blending

blending okay

I think that we are done with that. Make sure my nose does not look weird

or like dirty not be a good look my skin

totally broke out last month I mean not

last month, last week I don't know what I'm talking about last

week felt like a month no just kidding it

so there you go okay so there there is

our our bronzer is done and that was

just using this one little product and

your fingers it's a great you know do

your makeup on the run so where I'm

actually going to use a powder eyeshadow

next so this is from my morphe 35k

palette okay this is my only morphe

pallette. Iove it! it's all the colors that

i absolutely love their super super

wearable and because i want to actually

do more of a red lip here i'm going to

have the eyelids be more sort of bronzy

so what I'm going to do here is I'm

going to start off actually with this

sort of it's a true i would call just a

bronze color, so i'm going to use a little

bit of that on my finger so you do when

you're doing this look you definitely

want to obviously have you know tissues

quote by so we can clean off your

fingers so i'm just going to sort of

press this into the eyelid okay so that

it creates this nice again melty soft

really pretty color. i think this color is

so so pretty especially if you have blue

eyes and you can sort of just build ups

its color ok so just pressing and that in

I feel like I'm cheering myself on good job Tracy

okay so it obviously you can do that on

the other eye great and then you're

going to just use a q-tip with that same

color and you can just put a little bit

underneath the eye and you want to do

that all along the lash line okay

doesn't count because it's just a q-tip

so don't get mad at me I got something in my

eye groose it happens happens to all of us right

and I am going to use my pinky just to sort

of blend this in a little bit whatever

ring finger pinky you get the gist

very easy all right then I want to go in

with this color that's underneath okay

so if that's a little bit more of like a

Goldy bronze color so we're going to

just pat this and choose a center of the

eyelid so that it really just hits the

light here that's a nice color and then

we're going to do that obviously on the

other side how easy is that so it just

it gives it such like a nice again it

a beautiful bronze look but it's it's

just a very nice way of putting it on

okay then we're going to go in with that

Maybelline the glow down you know this

is one of my fave fave fave products i love

it i think it's such a beautiful color

such a great highlighter and using your

pinky put a little bit of that and then

we'll do highlighting underneath the

eyebrows though and then just using

another finger you know blend it in

because we're not using a brush you

don't want any like harsh edges you

don't want any you know really super

visible like hey look at my highlighter

that's not the look you want trust me

and then using your pinky you're going

to do the inner corner of your eye this

is something if you don't do this you

got to start doing that inner corner of

your eye because I just think that is

like the prettiest prettiest prettiest

look it just wakes up the eyes you know

it gives you sort of that youthful glow

now that's a little bit of a mess don't

worry about it that's when we get a

q-tip so you're just going to take a

little q-tip here and clean it up just a little

little haphazard okay so there we go

curling the lashes again this doesn't

really count because there's no way I

could curl my lashes without and I

wanted to keep it real for you guys so a

good curly curl curl and so envious of

those of you that don't need to curl

your lashes that is not me I don't curl

my lashes on like a biggle hot mess so

I'm at that stage of having lash

extensions where I've got like three

eyelash extension so it's not

necessarily the cutest thing ever okay

so that's that for now we'll see how

they look so I'm keeping eyes fairly

soft again sort of in this bronzy you

know lovely color then you're going to

go in in with some mascara so this is

this was sent to me I love it this is

from Avon and it's their true colors

super extend nourishing mascara first of

all can we talk about how cute packaging

is I love that rose gold tip I think

that's beautiful they sent me a massive

little goodie bag so great so nice of them

so Thank You Avon and I'm playing with

them and I love them so just mascara

normal normal try not to get on your

contacts they always do

and then underneath your eyes as well so

again if you're a little bit older this

is such a great way to do your makeup

because as I'm looking at my skin your

skin just looks like skin you know from

not using a powder product it's great

for those of us like me under a little

more advanced in age you know you won't

have such like a powdery look on your

face and it just looks like your skin

but just a little bit better and that's

what we want right that's the whole

purpose of makeup this it look like you

but better so mascara if I messed up

don't worry can fix it and if you mess

up you can fix it not the end of the

world don't get crazy in fact I

sometimes don't care I'm going to be

really honest sometimes I just don't

care if my makeup is a little bit messed

up I just feel like it makes you look

more real but you don't look like a wax

dummy what's totally perfect perfect so

my little two cents don't think I got

any of my eye look up with that's kind

of amazing so that's that as per usual

you want to powder those bottom lashes

so clean q-tips little translucent

powder the famous laura mercier which i

love just putting some of this on to my

q-tip and the reason why i do this ding

ding ding is so that much of that is so

that my lashes do not smudge which

mascara myself again no big deal you can

fix it see that's the cool thing about

makeup makeup removers for so again

powering the lashes just a little bit

here pretty pretty pretty ok so that's

that I feel like I want to put a little

bit more of that deeper bronze color so

you know it will be the lips first you

don't want to have too much going on so

message to the eyes I mean done simple

you know just gives you a nice little

glow there that bronze we Cutler ok

let's go in person

now random New York City now is it so

this is the josie maran cream blush

which I don't even know the color of it

i will link it down below i love this

product i've used it for years and it's

just a really natural natural color so

again just a little bit on the cheeks

here not too much because we're going to

be using more of a red color on our lips

so make sure your fingers are clean I

don't know if you're like me don't don't

leave it like that blend it in again we

want to melt this into the skin so that

your skin just looks gorgeous fresh

pretty natural all those good things

okay so I do this weird thing I noticed

a close one eye when I'm sweating very

weird I don't know why I do it well it's

just a weird thing that I do okay so

that's that's the blush again you can

always we can fix things up if we need

to so we're going to start here then

we're going to go with the RMS living

Luminizer again this is a great product

it is all-natural data doesn't have you

know crazy chemicals and any of that

junk that's going to harm you or you

know your skin or your endocrine system

all of that stuff so very very good

product I haven't tried any of her she

has like a lip and cheek tint and I'm

curious to know how that is so if you've

tried it please let me know in the comments

below so again just wala is kind of

patting this into the skin this is super

subtle and this really melts in your skin

so I believe there's coconut oil in it so

I love this product but what I can't use

it for is my underneath my eyebrows

because it will get my mascara and it

makes it so much though that's just me I

don't know

thank you and then I put some just on the

bridge of my nose okay and then on the bow of

your lip here such a pretty thing to do

then I might even put just a little bit

on my chin just very little ok so i love

this is so it just feels really good

putting it on it it's a really great

very subtle highlight ok next up we are

going to go into your lips so again this

is some my beautiful goody bag that i

got from Avon ok so this is their

nourishing lipstick and the color that i

chose for today is Ruby Kiss so it is

this gorgeous gorgeous red color so

pretty so I'm going to stop talking and

I'm going to put this on ok I was you

know there's two ways that i use red

lipstick one straight from the tube or

the other way if you want to make it

more subtle that's totally up to you is

use your finger and just tap tap tap it

on so today I'm going to go a little bit

more for the gust over this right so

let's do this I'm going to line my lips

to it though and don't worry if you mess

up because again that's what make up a

let's just leave it like this, what do you think just kidding

so it's a nice nice nice red color here

two things they want to do number one

blot it so give your tissue a little

kiss okay check out your teeth ok red

lips not a good thing so clean finger

pull it out of your hand and then the

lipstick goes on your finger that way

you're pretty much safe but I always do

a couple of these in the mirror to

making sure none is getting on the teeth

the teeth are clean ok and then you know

if i was using brushes i might add a

little powder to this but i want to keep

this kind of soft so again since i did

just blot and I just looked a little bit

more on

great so if you mess up your red

lipstick little protip here for you not

that I'm a pro at all but a little bit

for you if you can use something like

this cleaning water okay this is a

Garnier one I think I don't need to know

how to say it new cell are my seller I

don't know please ignore me you can use

this with a q-tip and then clean around

if you have like any smudges because you

do want to keep it for some red lips it

really nice and clean so super simple

super easy really straightforward really

really makes your skin look absolutely

amazing i wish you could just see like

the texture you know just makes it just

beautiful natural your skin but only

better so if you liked this video make

sure to give it a big thumbs up and I

love hearing from you I always love

hearing what kind of videos that you

want to see next so make sure that you

leave me a comment down below and if

you're not already do make sure that you

Hostage of Europe Episode 02 - ''UNHCR's irresponsible and shameful misdirection'' - Duration: 19:16.

hi everyone this is second Episode of

''Hostage of Europe'' in hopes of getting

this story out and also reaching out

to those who really care for refugees as well as

to find a real and practical solution

for my case I have decided to publicize

an outrageous situation which is

developing right now in front of UNHCR's

office in Athens, Greece. I will begin by

giving a short introduction about myself

the story is too long with too much

details so I can't include them all in this

episode. Originally I'm

Kurdish born from today's Iran's

territorial region. Practically I had

become a refugee over 12 years ago. Now

I'm trapped in Europe for over two years

since ... since all the relevant

authorities were deliberately not giving

they needed response to this

outrageous situation I have decided to

enter into a hunger strikes more

than two months ago my life is

practically frozen since the first day

of my arrival in this silly continent

as a refugee I am in need of effective

protection a durable and sustainable

solution which in practice cannot be

found in Greece as the only legal way

out of his horrendous situation and

since my case is already fulfilling the

three of the resettlement criteria

that's why I am appealing to the

relevant authorities, UNHCR and

resettlement countries, to consider my

case for resettlement.

right now I am doing this recording from

inside of a tent in front of UNHCR's

main office in Athens Greece I have very

limited resources in terms of

electricity access to computer internet, etc.

that's why I need to ...

need to make these series of episodes as

short as possible in each part I am

going to speak about one particular

subject I would be glad to hear about

your comments and feedbacks in the

comment section below and this is

part in this part I am going to talk

about UNHCR's irresponsible and shameful

misdirection provided to me when I first

approached their office for the proper

guidance and correct information about

Greece's and Europe's asylum system that

happened before I make myself known to

the Greek, to the state authorities in

Greece. Considering the horrible

situations in Greece known to everybody

and are becoming worse than worse day by

day

staying in Greece was always out of

option but also going to people

smugglers wasn't a good idea as well.

So, basically I was looking for a legal way

to live Greece and have the possibility

to settle in other EU countries that was

the only and the very reason I

approached the United Nations refugee

agency in Athens, Greece, before I make

myself known to the state

authorities in Greece. During a

conversation or the phone UNHCR was

verbally well informed about my case and

the reasons

for leaving the Middle East as well as

the reasons for approaching their office

and therefore was kindly asked for the

proper guidance and information based on

which I could arrive at a decent

decision for my life.

UNHCR had verbally told me that I had to

make myself known to the Greek

authorities in Greece, wait for a

decision on my case

if successful, get to prepare documents

and then legally leave the

country and go other EU countries and

settle, settle there. So I told myself if

there is a legal way to be resettled in

other EU countries then why should I pay

people smugglers to get me there, the

money which goes to them, I would spend -

to cover my needs - and establish a new life in the

second country in EU. that's why on my

own expenses and without getting any

support from anybody I spent many months (10 months)

in Greece just to get those papers and then

leave when finally I had those papers I

left immediately. After leaving Greece

after leaving Greece at the end of a

long and exhausting journey I was

eventually found myself in Sweden after

almost three months there it was a

shocking moment to find out that Sweden , Swedish authorities are going to send

me back to Greece exactly exactly

because of the same papers which supposed

to save me from people smugglers and

give me a legal way to arrive in other

EU countries and legally settle there.

there is no doubt that Sweden

definitely made a poor decision on my

case they even refused to provide me

with a lawyer

on all the occasions and they send me

back to Greece illegally. they sent me

back to Greece because of Europe's immoral

and inhumane asylum system and basically

Dublin regulations which I knew

nothing about and I wasn't given any

relevant information in that regards

nor by the UNHCR in my first approach to

them nor by the relevant state

authorities in Greece. since my

deportation from Sweden to Greece which took place in September 2015

practically I'm on the streets with no

support from anywhere find myself with a

bigger with a bigger bigger problem than

the original one, an extended suffering

mainly resulted from UNHCR's

irresponsible

and shameful misdirection. Since in

practice Greece cannot protect refugees

there is no effective protection durable

and sustainable solution in this country

and also since because of the Dublin

regulations I can't go other EU

countries now I'm trapped in an endless

circle of an unfair and unjust struggle

between embassies of two other countries

outside of this silly continent and the

United Nations Refugee Agency. Since

my case at least

fulfills three of the resettlement

criteria I am appealing for resettlement

to either Canada or USA. Globally it's UNHCR

which is in charge of refugee

resettlement and finding them effective

protection durable and sustainable

solution that's possibly why

both embassies are Just shooting me

back to the United Nations Refugee

Agency to get a referral letter from

them but this organization even after

it's own shameful misdirection

deliberate delays to all my appeals for

over one and a half year still

doesn't want to step up and take care of

the situation. In fact whenever I went to

their office they just called the police I

have been in the police station so

many times and so many hours just for

going to those people and asking for help

from them. Providing incomplete

information which practically changes the

whole direction of one person's life is

an irresponsible act and it should be

condemned by everyone because it's

criminal. What's happening to me

shouldn't be happening to anyone in this

world yet after two months of hunger

strike in front of their office still I

cannot imagine a possible way out it's

the kind of an irony that the same people

and the same organization which supposed to

protect refugees is now nothing but only

a greedy Monster which only makes Fame

and money out of human suffering an

organization which only interested in

itself and its employees rather than

refugees and in what is best for them as

a refugee one might ask what is the use

of UNHCR when it does nothing good

for us. Refugees don't need a Refugee Chief

or a refugee organization when

it can

neither provides them with a safe

passage nor resettlement opportunities.

in solidarity with my situation

yesterday on Friday 19th May there was a

little demonstration over here it

happened to have a chance to talk to

UNHCR but they told us refugees

cannot enter UNHCR's building can

you imagine that refugees cannot

enter UNHCR's buildings so we had

to take the conversation to a space

provided outside of their office how

refugees cannot even enter an

organization's facility which meant

serve refugees and refugees interests.

Here I have no access to legal

assistance nor legal counseling, my

health is critical and they are not even

providing me with doctors or the needed

medical cares. it looks like even if I

pass out here they are even going to

deny me being there on hunger strike in

front of their office for this long

basically

once again they want to send me to the

people smugglers but I can't I am a

genuine refugee, my status is clear I

can't have a life in Greece my life is

frozen here basically looted in Europe

rather than finding refuge there I

needed to be I need to be resettled

through legal procedures what I asked

for is rightful legit and legal. that's

why my message to the relevant

authorities is short, clear and simple.

Appealing to the United Nations refugee

agency UNHCR to stop its immoral and

outrageous behaviors and thus take

immediate action for my resettlement either from Greece or to direct me to

another UNHCR office inside or outside

of Europe which does resettlement.

Appealing to both appealing to both

Canadian and U.S. embassies for their

kind intervention - to end this harsh

circumstances in front of UNHCR if they

really care for refugees I would expect

them to help my case for the settlement

either of these countries or to send

their delegates to negotiate a safe

passage with Me. A safe passage which

allows me as a genuine Refugee

to first enter either of these countries and

to be allowed to seek protection

there later upon arrival I would gladly

pay for this

safe passage but I cannot go to people

smugglers I can't.

Appealing to the Greek and European

officials please take back your please

take back your fucking fake protection

your fucking fake protections and just

let me go I made a mistake seeking refuge

in this silly continent I thought you

were human enough to give in to give a

place of refuse to those in need which you

are found to be the exact opposite, you

are a bunch of monsters hindering

refugees lives for your own political

gains, you are the kind of vampires

which are sucking the blood out of refugees. Stop killing us,

just let us go. that's ... that's in

compliance with you own law with

your own law, European law, European

regulation, EU directive 2001 51 EC.

Appealing to the Greek society and Greek media

Greece cannot protect refugees, stop

inflicting pain and suffering on

innocent people, while you pretend

protecting them. If Greece is a

democratic society which I don't think

it is please tell everyone to come here

at UNHCR's main office to show support

and solidarity with me. Michalakopoulou 91

okay

Michalakopoulou 91, don't forget that. I

just made a mistake coming to your

country and Europe as a whole I need to

go I need to go, no one has the right to

push me to stay in this country to

suffer here all along.

I need a legal way which is right now in

the hands of most most indecent people

ever ever known to me, the United

Nations Refugee Agency. I am all alone in

this unjust and unfair struggle that's

why I need your help and your support.

Appealing to the public and the media

and whoever else watching whoever else

watching seeing this video please

distribute and share that with everybody

with everyone you can. Don't forget again

don't forget to let me know about your

feedbacks in the comment section below.

So, that's it for now and thank you so much

April Wrap Up! | 2017 [CC] - Duration: 21:08.

Hey everyone, its Maddie and Bee,

and today we're going to be doing our

April wrap-up! And we have exams in May

so we procrastinated by reading a ton so

let's get to it! First we both read One

Italian Summer by Keris Stainton, and this

is the story of three sisters whose

father has died. They decide to go on an

Italian vacation to the place where they

always went with their dad, so it brings

up a lot of memories for them. Milly is

the main sister and she tells you the

story, but the two other sisters Elise

and Leone still play a really big part

in story (and one of them is definitely

the catalyst for the very end and also

the relationship between Luke and Milly).

Luke and Milly have had a history before

and I didn't really like how their

relationship played out too much in this

one because it uses the trope of them

using other people in order to make each

other jealous, and that just wasn't fun

to read about, but I loved the setting

and I loved the exploration of their feelings.

Next we both read The Star-Touched Queen

by Roshani Chokshi and I don't think we

liked this as much as we were perhaps

hoping. The writing style is the kind

that wants you to be aware of how

flowery and metaphorical it is and

whilst I can take that in small doses

when it's like appropriate (maybe the

tone of the scene) I really can't deal

with a whole book written in this

flowery purple prose. As the magic

elements of the world started to unravel

and things get a little bit vague and

there's, like, a talking horse?? Things got

weird.

Next we read The Monstrous Child by

Francesca Simon. We were really intrigued

for this as she's well known for a big

middle grade series in the UK. This tells

the story of Hel who kind of

personifies hell the place. Hel has a

very distinct voice. She's very sarcastic

and whiny, and hard to relate to in that

way, and I think that the voice

definitely carried the story. I thought

when I was reading it that we were going

to be introduced to new mythology but

this draws very heavily on Norse

mythology, which I don't know that much

about, but I felt like the story could

have done more. It just felt like a

prequel to something bigger.

Next we both read Just One Year by Gayle

Forman, and this is the sequel to Just

One Day, which followed the main girl, and

this one follows the boy, who I didn't

care about in the first book, but I was

like this is one of the series I've had

on the go for ages may as well finish it

now that's popped up in my library. I was

so aware when reading this that this is a

male POV written by a woman for female

audiences. I felt really manipulated with

the way we were supposed to see Willem,

and I didn't really buy into it. My

biggest issue is that in Just One Day

Alison gets over Willem, moves on with

her life, and makes decisions that aren't

tied to her day in Paris. Willem was

always motivated by Paris, which just

seemed a little bit ridiculous and I

would have wanted to see his character

outside of that situation.

Next we both read Windfall by Jennifer E

Smith, which is the story of a girl

called Alice who gives a winning lottery

ticket to her best friend Teddy, and it's

for millions. It's so much money. And he

wants to give her half the money but she

refuses for some really strange reason

that I can't even think of because she

has no legit reason for doing this. Alice

also happens to be in love with Teddy,

but he doesn't know this and he's a real

jerk to her throughout the whole book.

She's the kind of girl that has a really

great work ethic and gives all of her

time to charity - it's very

holier-than-thou - but she's also super

judgmental towards how Teddy is using

the money, so it feels like a character

arc is just being pushed on him and

we're meant to see this relationship as

balancing out the best and the

worst in each other, but I really didn't get

that. They felt like a complete mismatch.

But we're also told at the beginning that

Alice and Teddy are best friends and

also they're best friends with Alice's

cousin, Leo, who was the best character in

the whole book. But when a romance plot

came to the scene he was completely

sidelined, which was not okay.

Overall, we were just disappointed with

how a story with so much potential was

used in the most cliched ways.

Next we both read Team Awkward by Katy Birchall,

and this is the second book in the It

Girl series. So, this follows Anna trying

to become more of a leader, so that she

can deserve the role of celebrity. And

she decides the way to do this is to be

the captain of her - I don't know - her

house, her school house's sports day team.

It started with this running joke where a

video of Anna falling into a plant pot

went viral for some reason, so she's kind

of obsessed with how clumsy she is, which

made me roll my eyes, and I wasn't really

buying the humor that much in this story.

But from reading this one I decided to

go on to reading the third which is

Don't Tell The Bridesmaid, so obviously

the wedding happens in this one! What I

wasn't expecting was Lizzie McGuire

Movie realness, as Anna and her friends

go on a trip to Rome and

almost the same things that happened

in the Lizzie McGuire happen in this.

She creates a scandal, manages to go to a

concert, and her friends go with her.

She's also rooming with her enemy, who

turns out to be not as bad as she

thought. My favorite part of this

book was definitely the emails that Anna

was exchanging with her mum and her

soon-to-be stepmom, because they had a

really good and healthy relationship ,and

I was just all about that.

Next we have Waiting for Callback by Honor and

Perdita Cargill, and this is the story of

Elektra, who really wants to become an

actor, so she goes about getting herself

an agent so that she can pursue this

professionally. If you like Geek Girl.

and your favorite parts of those books

are when she does the modeling

adventures in different countries or

different shoots then this is the book

for you, because it definitely focuses

more on Elektra in what she's doing in

acting rather than what's going on in

her other life, which kind of felt a little

bit flat for me, but luckily the acting

was so much fun as she was taking on

different roles. This was really

enjoyable, and I really liked Elektra's

voice, and just this idea of a young girl

like chasing her dreams, just like

Harriet did. I totally recommend this to

fans of Geek Girl.

Next we read The Opposite of You by Lou Morgan, and this is the

story of twins Bex and Naomi, and

they're just about to do their exams

and Bex leaves early and she

is sat right at the front of the hall

and Naomi's supposed to sit at the back.

At the end of the exam Bex looks

around and Naomi isn't there, so it's a

quest of where is she? What has she done?

And what has driven her to leave?

Bex then finds out that Naomi's been

living this completely separate life

that she never knew about. She's got a

separate Facebook page where she's

pretending to be older and that she

attends University, and while Bex is

trying to find Naomi she starts having

these visions about their childhood and

also believes that some things are there

even when they're not. This is because

Bex and Naomi share a very special link.

As a twin I couldn't suspend my disbelief that

they genuinely had this sort of psychic

connection. So I would have preferred

just full-out psychic powers. Like, if

you're gonna do it at all you may as

well do it 100%. It was exciting and

fast-paced but altogether I couldn't be

entirely invested in Bex and Naomi as

twins. They obviously had a history so I

would have liked way more flashbacks

into their childhood past to see how

things had changed into the future.

And the last book we read together was

Flirty Dancing by Jenny McLachlan, and

this is the first book in the Ladybirds

series which is a companion series that

follows four girls. So this one focuses on

Bea, and there is a dance competition and Bea

wants to audition, so she's trained by

family friends to do the jive with the

most popular boy in school.

It was just like quirky and sweet and

kind of silly, and it had all of these

really dated references that also made

it funny in probably not the way it was

supposed to be. We already have the third

book in this series, and we are going to

slowly collect the rest when they are in

the Amazon used new marketplace.

Next I read Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between by Jennifer E. Smith, as I was

preparing to read Windfall, and I'm so

happy I read this one first, because I

can say that it's my favorite of her

books. This tells the story of Claire and

Aidan who are on their last night in

their hometown before they go off to

university, and they're deciding

whether they should keep going with

their relationship or break it off

before either of them can get hurt. This

was a really odd conversation to have

because throughout the whole book I was

like 'why do you have to break up though?

Is it really that big a deal? I'm sure

you can make it work!' And so you see the

couple as they explore their hometown,

going to important spots in their

relationship history. I really liked this

format of storytelling, it really pulled

the story forward, and the secondary

characters were well woven into the

story, without feeling like unnecessary

additions. I'm really interested in books

that take place over a really short

period of time, so this ticked a lot of

boxes for me in the contemporary genre,

and I'd really recommend it if you're

looking to start reading Jennifer E. Smith

because this is my favorite.

I read Naondel byMaria Turtshaninoff, and

this is the prequel to Marisi, which is a

very feminist sort of fairy tale story

about a island just of women in a kind

of convent sort of... Naondel tells the story of how

the women that run that convent got there.

Trigger warning: it is full of rape, so

it's slightly uncomfortable to read at

times. I thought it was harrowing but I

wasn't as touched as I was hoping to be.

I think this series is going to continue,

but after Maresi, so they just kind of

jumped back for this one, but I don't

think I'll be reading it. I think I've

taken enough time with this Red Abbey

Chronicles series.

Next I read Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and I don't

have anything new to say about this that

hasn't already been said. It's a story

that mashes up a lot of different

dystopian novels, and does it fairly

successfully to begin with, then descends

into this weird war that tries to pick

up a theme for the second book, and I'm

not sure if I could say I'm interested

in that. This is a story that

just blends into the background and

really shows you the reason why you

shouldn't write to trends.

Next I have The Wildings by Nilajana Roy and

this is the story of cats in India. Very

sort of Disney movie-esque accept dark

and evil because they're all in castes,

and they have like a hierarchy. And then

there's this fabled cat, which will have

superpowers essentially and that will

help them defeat this big evil. I really

really enjoyed this - surprisingly more

than I thought I would. I wanted to read

it because it was shortlisted for the

Waterstones children's book prize

so when Pushkin press reached out to us

asking if I wanted to review I was like

yes please. You can tell that the author

has cats. I don't have cats but I

appreciated it anyway, because the humor

is great and I was reading out passages

to Maddie because it was just funny, so

if you have cat,s I think you are going

to adore this story, because the

observations are so minute and the way

that all of the cats are characterized

is really really fun. It has a sequel which I

hope to get round to in May.

Next I read Entangled by Cat Clarke, which tells you

the story of a girl who tries to commit

suicide and after an unsuccessful

attempt that's where her story starts.

She's been kidnapped by a man called

Ethan and she's writing down her story

and all of the things that led up to her

suicide attempt, and I'll warn you that

this is extremely triggering for

self-harm. It's very very explicit and I

wasn't expecting this. And I felt like I

was trying to constantly work out the

story as it was going and I had my

fingers crossed like please don't let this have

been all in her head, please don't let her

already have been dead, and I had so many

thoughts about it that took a really

long time to be confirmed or denied. So

it's one that you really have to stick

with if you want to find out the mystery.

But it was an interesting read for me

because it was slightly darker than I'm

used to, but I'm not sure I'd recommend

it, just because I can't say I enjoyed

the experience of reading it.

Then I read Wintersong by S Jae-Jones. So I buddy read

this with my great friend Lea at drumsofautumn.

Thank goodness I did, because Lea is

German and this story incorporates the

German folk tale of the Goblin King and

it has like some German writing in it

and I just so valued having Lea's

insight into what was wrong and what was

terrible. I'll also leave a link to Lea's

Goodreads review because she highlights

all of the problems with consent because NO. This was trash. It

was straight-up the worst book I've read

this year. I couldn't take it. It was

generally contradictory and not fun to

read and lots of people have been saying

that it was originally going to be for

the adult market and then got changed to

be a YA story and you can definitely tell.

I also better mention that I would have

dnf'd this story after 100 pages had I

not been reading it with Lea, and Wintersong

will be finding its way into a

charity shop very soon.

And the one tome I

managed to complete was Days of Blood

and Starlight by Laini Taylor, and I read

this in preparation for the event that

she was doing a Waterstones and we

filmed the whole thing so I'll put a

link to that in the cards, so this is the

second book in a series, and I read the

first book Daughter of Smoke & Bone

about two years ago. My favorite

character is Zusanna, and her

relationship with her boyfriend. They

offered some comic relief throughout the

story and, although their sections are

the smallest, they were my favorite bits,

because I found myself smiling

throughout all of them and the rest of

the story is quite dark. Like some /things/

happen in this book, and I'm not going to

spoil anything but I'm definitely going

to continue to the third one,

even though it's a hundred pages longer

than this one so I am a little bit more

intimidated, but it's definitely one I

don't want to put off for another two years.

Next I read Kill The Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky.

So this is the story of four kind of

friends who are completely obsessed with

this boy band called the Ruperts. In the

course of the day that this story takes

place over they managed to capture one

of the Ruperts, hold him ransom in their

hotel room and then - wait for it - kill

him. Yeah, that's right, they kill him. So I

really enjoyed the story, but I just wish

that things had escalated quickly. You

know that something is going to happen

to this boy band because of the title

and the titular event doesn't come until

halfway through the book! When things got

down to it I did enjoy it, and I just had

to keep reading to know what was going

to happen. I would really really

recommend it if you're okay to poke fun

at yourself for being a fangirl.

I don't know how actual One Direction

fans will feel about reading this book,

so let me know if you've read it and how

you felt, because I'm sure it's a book that

splits opinion.

In trying to read more books from our own shelves, Bee picked out

Arsenic For Tea for me by Robin Stevens,

and this is the second book in the

Murder Most Unladylike series,

following Daisy and Hazel as they solve

another mystery at Daisy's home. This

gave me exactly the same vibes as the

first one. It was super fun and I'm

really looking forward to continuing the

series, because Daisy and Hazel's

friendship is really progressing as they

get closer and as they solve more

mysteries. They have a really hilarious

relationship with the local police and

the next book takes place on a train,

which is one of my favorite settings for murder.

Next I read Defy The Stars by

Claudia Gray. So this is the story of

Noemi and Abe.l Abel is a very advanced

AI/robot. I'm not really sure. Noemi

is a pilot for Genesis, which is kind of

an Earth away from Earth. I talk about this

a lot more in the haul that we have of this,

which will probably go up after this so

when it does I will leave a link to that

in the cards. I also have a review of it,

which I will leave in a link below.

And then because I realized that reading

books we had on the shelves for ages was

so much fun, I picked up Dangerous Girls

by Abigail Hass, which has been on our

shelves since the beginning of our

booktube channel. Dangerous Girls tells

the story of two friends Anna and Elise.

Elise ends up dead and Anna is charged

with her murder, and this whole story

takes place mostly in a courtroom

setting, as Anna is interrogated for her

role, but also tells you the story of all

of the other friends that were part of

that holiday that they all went on, and

their perspective on the murder. If you

love How To Get Away With Murder, the TV

show, then I'd really recommend this one,

because it was so thrilling and I read

it all in one sitting even though it's

like a 400 page book, because it was just

fantastic. I never knew what to expect and so

I was really really thrown by the plot

twist at the very end. I really wish that

this had a companion book, because I'd

absolutely love to know what happens

next, but it was a really great story

that had a brilliant build and I

couldn't recommend it more.

Alex as Well shows the story of Alex transitioning

from mostly identifying as male to

mostly identifying as female, it's a

really short book and Alex isn't a huge

part of it surprisingly. It is told

through her perspective, but you also get

these chapters from her mum's point of

view, and her mum is a complete psycho.

She's posting on a mothering forum/

social network. She writes about what's

happening with her and how she's losing

her son and it's all a complete tragedy

and she is, you know, suggesting that

she's going to force-feed Alex the

hormones so that she remains a boy. So

it's probably the most horrific parenting

experience that I've ever had to read

about, but it makes up a huge part the

plot and without it it would be a

completely different story.

Next I read But Then I Came Back by Estelle Laure,

which combined some of my favorite

things including: ballet and discussions

of an afterlife. This tells the story of

Eden, who suffers from a near-death experience.

She's in a coma and then when she's in a

coma she's communicating with a girl in

the room next to her who's also in a

coma. It's really fascinating to see this

magical realism element of the story

play out as Eden wakes up and the other

girl doesn't. She also meets up with the

other girl's kind of love interest/

best friend - you're not really sure where

he stands in relation to Jazz, and it's

all about them creating a relationship as

Eden learns more about Jazz outside of

her coma, and how she can try and help

her, and how she can communicate what

Jazz wants people to know about her. And

it was just really really interesting.

I've never read a book like it, but the

only one I can think of that is slightly

similar is Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin,

and that is one of my favorite books

just with how it deals with all of the

topics it does.

Next I have Violet Grenade by Victoria Scott, and this isn't one I'm going to talk about for very

long because I thought it was a mess!

This follows the story of Domino, who is

a homeless teenager, and her best friend

gets taken in by the police and she

wants to make his bail, but she has no

money, so she decides the way to make

money is to join this weird cult which

is madame something's establishment for

entertaining young girls. Essentially.

Then this establishment is ordered into different flowers, and the different

flowers mean different levels, so when

you're at the top you're kind of given

the opportunity perhaps to leave, but you

have to go up the ranks. You can't leave

if you're in the middle, and it's very

hard to move up the ranks. However the

top woman of this establishment decides

to give Domino, and a girl that Domino

takes under her wing when she goes to

this place, a chance. If they can be the

best performers every week they will

move up the different flowers. This book

completely loses sight of the reason why

Domino joined this tower of weird flower

entertainment system and I really

couldn't care about the romance that was

forming between Domino and a guy that

also works in this entertainment place

mostly as 'wall of meat'.

Next I have The Weight of Water by Sarah Crossan, and one

of the only reasons why I picked this

one up is because I want to say I've

read all of this author's books, and I

think this is the last one I had. This is

another verse novel about a girl who

moves over from Poland and it's about her

kind of acclimatising to the UK school

system, and also falling in love with a

boy on the swim team. I'd really love to

appreciate verse novels

but for some reason my head just can't

get around the purpose for them. It

does tell a story in a really efficient

way and that's what I liked about it -

that we still got a really big story and

it tackled with a lot of things in so

few words - but I don't really understand

the benefits of telling in verse rather

than telling it in prose.

And the final book I finished this month was Legion by

Julie Kagawa, which is the fourth book in

the Talon series. I didn't really think

I was going to continue and then I did

because I like Dante, who was everyone's

least favorite character, because he's sort

of the villain. I think he has the most

interesting perspective. I won't give any

plot spoilers because fourth book in a

series, but I did like that there was

some sort of settlement on the love

triangle situation. The characters were

having conversations with each other and

Ember was telling the boys what she

thought, and how she was feeling, which

was super important. It was probably the

best communication we've had all series.

But what I didn't like was that I felt

like all guns were blazing and then at

the end there's a line where one of the

characters is like 'and it's only just the beginning.'

And I'm thinking 'what more is there to

come? What more can they do??

I just don't know???' and I think there are

still two more to come in this series so

I have no idea. I might not read them but still spoil myself

on what happens, because I'm still

interested in how this is going to wrap

up, because I'm still expecting one of

the main characters to die, and honestly

I want to know who it is.

And the last book I read this month was One Of Us Is Lying by Karen M McManus and this was my

favorite book of the year maybe. It was

so amazing! It tells the story of five

people who all get detention, so you're

obviously seeing The Breakfast Club

vibes here, and then one of the five,

Simon, who is kind of the outsider

character, is murdered and so the other

four in the room are all suspects for

his murder. The one thing that I was

really really impressed by with this

book was the characterization, because

going into it you kind of expect the

characters to just subscribe to the jock,

the princess, the criminal, and these

don't. I wrote a full review of this book

telling you why I liked each character

so much because there are so many little

things that make them so great that it

will be hard to talk about all in one

video. So, when this comes out in June I

could not recommend it more you need to

get your hands on this, and then read it

in one sitting, as I think that's the

best way to read it, so that you can be

constantly surprised as you go, and

you can fall in love with each and every

one of these characters as they surprise

you in ways that you wouldn't expect.

And finally we dnf'd three books. One

each, and then one shared. So my first is

Sweet Pea by C. J. Skuse, and this is her

first adult novel and people are calling

it a psycho Brigit Jones. I got like

halfway through this and then decided I

didn't care enough.

And then I dnf'd Like Other Girls by Claire Hennessy and,

already from the title, you can kind of

tell that this is going to be a

problematic book, but within the first 10%

Lauren, the main character, was so

transphobic I just noped out of that one

so hard. And then we both dnf'd

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas,

and we still have our tabs in so I can

tell you that Maddie managed to get 222

pages through (ohmygosh!) which is quite far actually, and

I got 377 pages through. We decided to

DNF this story because we were alerted

to some Ace phobia in the first few

chapters of ACOWAR. I will leave a link

to the Twitter thread down below. So we

were just trusting this was a aphobic

and I do not want to read anything that's

aphobic ever. Now Sarah J Maas is just on

my ban list because I don't care to

read anything else. So those are all the

books that we read in April. Thank you

everyone so much for watching, and we'll

see you in our next video! Bye!
