Hello its Kinoshita Yuka (English Subtitles by ~Aphexx~)
So today! tadaa using milk butter and parm cheese I made some pasta
I haven't really added much else to this than the parmesan cheese so I thought that it would taste
O.... K.... but it actually tasted really delish~ ~because I cheated and took a taste~
and it was super easy to make this as well alrighty lets see how its made
this is how its made in a well salted pot of water boil our pasta
I'll be boiling 800g of it today once its cooked retain only a tiny bit of the water
then add some butter 150g worth
if you add all the pasta it overloads this tiny pan so I've only added 1/2 here I'll mix the other half later
looks so yummy just by mixing in butter
now for the powdered cheese I received this from an overseas viewer its made by KRAFT
and I'll add 300g of this
mix in milk
I think I goofed here since we're going to be cooking the noodles in
this milk it would be ideal if you undercook the noodles the first time around
once it thickens transfer to your plate
and I'll mix in the pasta that didn't fit into the pan
and here's a spot where some of the cheese got slightly burnt.... I love these burnt bits
and you can choose to skip this step but since I want my pasta to take on that "carbonara-like" feel
I'll now add some egg yolks 8 yolks worth then sprinkle with pepper
tadaa the dish is complete I added the yolks since I wanted to but
all you need to make this dish is milk, butter and parm cheese
its such a simple dish to make lets see how much it weighs
w/o the bowl its 3.6kg ITADAKIMASU
lets start by tasting this without the egg
the pasta got a bit overcooked but you can really smell the cheese in this
its such a spartan dish with barely any toppings but it still looks so yummy
I love that aroma of cheese
you can really taste the cheese in this and you can really taste the salt that was in the
pasta water that we reserved and its so full of delish flavor
parm cheese and butter hold their own in the flavor department
but since we topped it with some yolk I want to give it a taste with the yolks
sooo goood
its covered in egg covered in yolk
looks delish
it really makes it taste much richer than before and it gives it a mellower feel as well
delish with egg as well
Hey Peeps.... Raw Eggs Totes safe in Japan. rest assured "she not gonna die" #RawEggsSoSafe in Japan #RawEggsMuchYumz
it might have been because of the way I poured in the parm cheese but there are spots where I find
lumps of cheese clumped together but since you get a big hit of cheese in those spots
I'm kinda diggin' it delish
I've been giving this a bit of thought and once you introduce those yolks into this dish....
its pretty well a carbonara now isn't it?
but without the yolk it was delish it was a very milky pasta
but since we've got so much here I like the addition of yolks
this tastes plenty good already with all the parmesan cheese in this but to really crank up the flavors I'll add more parm cheese
wait nothin's comin out!!
nothing is coming out these holes and too much will come out of this side
~scary~
cheese pasta !!! so delish
last mouthful itadakimasu
gochisossamadeshita this pasta made with milk and cheese was so delish
I was surprised by how good it tastes with just some simple cheese
it did share quite a lot of the ingredients that you'd use to make a carbonara but
the taste of butter and milk were much stronger in this dish I felt as though the flavors really differed
without any bacon or any other toppings you really appreciated the flavors present in the dish
cheese is already so yummy on its own
since this was my first time making it I goofed on how long to cook the pasta today
I prefer my pasta to be al dente but this was a normal softness for a pasta
making pasta dishes takes a few times to develop a skill for making it
this dish was so delish and super easy to make I'm sure you all can make it so easy at home
won't you all give it a try as well? and as always thanks for watching and if you liked

Hi guys, it's Julie and Juliesaurus!
What is it?
Julie I don't know what it is…
Is it a thunderstorm or something?!
I don't know but Juliesaurus I think we should run away.
Yeah that's a good idea.
Julie! Why don't you take me with you!
Oh Juliesaurus! I forgot!
Oh my gosh! What's happening!
What's happening!
Boogie Woogie!
What was that?
Boogie Woogie…
What's happening!
Today I'm going to my friend's house!
That's why I'm so excited!
Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!
What is it?
It looks like a tail…
Huh! Wow it's so long~
Let's see whose tail it is.
It's still the tail!
Oh my gosh where does it end?!
Am I ever going to get there?
Now at the back!
Finally!
Now it's the neck.
The neck is pretty long too.
Finally I see the face!
Hello~
What are you doing on my back!
Well I was going to my friend's house and I found your tail!
So I was just curious how you look like
because your tail is so long!
I have a very nice tail don't I?
Look~
Yeah your tail is very nice!
But isn't it too long?
I mean you could hit someone accidently or something.
I don't know.
I don't think I have…
Well maybe you don't realize…
Well what's your name?
My name is Apatosaurus.
Apathosaurus?!
You are the new dinosaur aren't you?
Oh yeah! Nice to meet you!
You heard about me.
Of course I heard about you!
You know so many people are complaining
because you make too much noise!
I make too much noise?
What do you mean?
When you walk...
I don't know you make a… sound
that sounds like a thunderstorm or an earthquake or something…
Really? I don't think so…
Walk!
Ok.
You see!
It sounds so big!
Well… That's what I do all the time.
I mean I'm a big dinosaur and I can't help it…
Well you could be careful a little bit.
Try to walk carefully.
Ok…
I said carefully!
Ok.
Yeah That's better.
You can walk like this can't you?
Like this?
Yeah!
Well it was very nice meeting you Apatosaurus.
What's your name?
My name is Quetzalcoatlus.
Quetzalcoatlus?
Yeap!
Well ok then Quetzalcoatlus I hope to see you again.
Ok see ya!
Oh I'm late to my friend's house!
I forgot… Bye bye!
Apatosaurus lived in North America during the Late Jurassic period.
Apatosaurus was 23 meters long!
That's as long as two buses and as tall as a ten-story building!
And weighted 35 tons!
Apatosaurus had a big body that the ground would shake
when it walked around like thunder!
That's why its nickname is Thunder Dragon!
It also had the smallest head compared to the body size
among the other dinosaurs.
Apatosaurus had a long and thick neck with twelve neck bones!
Its legs were very wide and bulky,
and the hind legs were bigger than the forelimbs.
Its feet were short, stubby, and flat, like an elephant's.
The front toes had huge claws that was slightly curved.
And it walked on claws instead of on feet.
Oh, what is this?
It's a tail!
The tail was used like a whip to intimidate the enemies.
And to balance the body weight.
Apatosaurus was lighter in weight as it had air sacs
that made the bones internally full of holes,
but the structure was very well constructed.
It had a mild character, and moved very slowly.
Oh by the way!
Apatosaurus was a Sauropod dinosaur!
Huh? What's a Sauropod dinosaur?
I forgot Julie.
Sauropods are enormous herbivorous or omnivore dinosaurs
that walk on four thick legs.
Oh! Like Brachiosaurus.
That's right!
Julie! Apathosaurus is awesome!
I wish I had long tail like him.
Well but your tail is cute too!
I mean look at it~
Oh really?
Of course!
Well guys Julie and Juliesaurus will come back with another story next time.
Bye!

Helmet Safety 101 安全帽的選擇 - Duration: 9:00.
Hello, this is 13N
Let's talk about helmet safety
I actually wanted to share this with you guys earlier
but I've been very busy and haven't had time to upload videos
In one of my "commute gear" video
I mentioned a bit about my helmet
and the safety labels
construction work here
ok, I have 4 helmets here
you can put helmets into 3 categories
Half helmet, 3/4 (open face) and full face helmet
I've got 4 here on the table
They are all mine
I actually don't have half helmet,
so I am using this skate helmet as reference
Both skate and half helmet only cover the top of your head
zero protection on the side and your chin
like I said, the reason that I don't have a half helmet
is simply that it is not safe at all
honestly, you would rarely hit the top of your head
you'd probably hit the side and the chin of your head more
and some of the chin straps
are one of those chin cup ones
when you move your head violently
helmet can get loose
so let's get this out of the picture
next, open face (3/4) helmet
This is my SBK. I bought it becuase it looks cool
cool design, even has a big R
it's actually copying another design
you will see it later
this one, I only wore it briefly
because I didn't feel safe
at the time, I wanted a open face helmet
for comfort and to weare it in the hot summer
and then I saw a research paper
about the impact zone on a helmet
and the analysis of it
it said that the chin area has more than
30% probability of being impacted in a crash
I was like...whoa
since it's easy to hit the chin
3/4 really can't protect my face
I should get a full face instead
so when I switched to a full face, I went straight to top of the line
saved enough to buy an Arai helmet
but this Arai is out of commission now
I've worn it for a while
Helmet usually expires after 5 years of use
now you can see the helmets I own
you should recognize the middle 2
that's mine and my wife's helmet
an adventure/off-road helmet
and a regular full face helmet
one is mine, and another for her
my wife's helmet
is actually my race track helmet
I use it becuase it is both DOT and Snell certified
so let's talk about safety certification
Most commonly known safety label is the DOT
This is from the United States
And then there's ECE
Europe's safety standard
and then there's Snell Foundation
Snell is a non-profit organization
and doesn't represent any government agency
and then there's JIS and SG
from Japan. Kind of like Japan's DOT
There's also SHARP from Europe. a 5 star rating certification
It provides additional safety ranking I believe
but I haven't seen it in US,
so I am not going to talk about it
Another one is CRASH from Australia
so DOT certification is pretty common
I think it's a basic standard for helmet safety
DOT works in an honor system
manufacteurs conduct tests based on DOT rule and pass helmets themselves
to sell them in the market legally
they only get fined or recalled
when they fail the government agency's random inspection
so it doesn't seem to be a strict system
and the test itself is not as rigorous as the Europe one
let's talk about Europe certification next
ECE certification
ECE is actually pretty strict
a lot of race organization also use ECE
as a safety standard
oh Miata, pretty mean one
why is there traffic?
I think there's construction ahead
so if you get a helmet with ECE
you can ease your mind
next let's talk about Snell
Snell is a non-profit organization
its mission is to test and conduct research on helmet safety
so a lot of race track groups in USA
use Snell as a safety standard
Only Snell approved helmets can be used on the track
some helmets don't have SNELL
like the AGV helmets
I recall it doesn't have any Snell ever
but since it has ECE approval
it can be accepted as a track helmet
so in comparison
if you have DOT and Snell approval
it's like the equivalent of ECE
Both ECE and Snell also test on the visors
I recall Snell uses pellet guns for testing
DOT doesn't have any visor tests
Japanese JIS and SG are like USA's DOT
so I see a lot of people opting for helmet with both Japanese standard and Snell approval
which makes them a safer helmet
so people might ask
Does it mean cheap helmets are not safe?
It's not actually like that
some affordable helmets
like the one I am wearing right now
Fly Racing Trekker
or my wife's Scorpion helmet
mine has ECE and her helmet has both DOT and Snell
With those approval, they are definitely safe for your head
and better than the ones with only a DOT approval
so why are some other helmets expensive?
they are more expensive for their feature comfort, weight and quality
and of coures its construction material
honestly, every time after I wear my Arai
I feel like the other helmets are pretty heavy on my head
and if you look closely
at the two race helmets
The scorpion one is slightly larger than the Arai
it needs to be built larger
to be able to receive the same approval
Arai is smaller in outside diameter
and doesn't lose any of its safety feature
and then there's padding comfort
Arai's padding is super comfortable
my adventure helmet
actually has rough padding
not that comfortable
and the paint quality of the helmet
is a lot worse than the Arai
Those are where the price differs
so if you feel like you can't afford the most expensive helmet
don't get discouraged
there are a lot of affordable helmets with great safety approval
next, make sure you have proper fitment
how do you fit a helmet?
I recommend test fitting helmet in a store
don't just measure to get an estimate and order a helmet
unless you can exchange the helmet for sizing
then sure, order away
it's all about tight fitment
it means your head can't move inside the helmet
if you can move a bit in a helmet, then it's dangerous
you might suffer from second-time impact inside the helmet when you crash
so please make sure it's tight
tight doesn't mean pressure points
that will make you nauseous
make sure no pressure point
around your head at all
and fit it properly
as for padding, wear it like you are pushed to look like a chipmunk
no movement inside helmet
so when I ride and talk
I might sound weird
becuase my face is pushed against the padding
it's even tighter with race helmet that has thick padding
alright, if you love riding
and want to be safe
stop wearing half helmets
there's no protection at all
alright, that's it folks. Thanks!

Expired Mac and Cheese Taste Test - Duration: 2:43.
is expired mac and cheese still good to eat
can I eat expired macaroni and cheese
old mac and cheese taste test
hi it's AlaskaGranny I've been going
through and straightening out my food
storage and I found some kraft macaroni
and cheese that was dated to expire in
2010
well it's just turned over to 2017 so
this macaroni and cheese is seven years old so I thought well
rather than just toss it out I'm going
to cook it up see how it turns out and
see can you eat kraft macaroni and
cheese that is seven years old is expired mac and cheese still good to eat so you can see
that the noodles look ok the cheese
packet is still soft it is foil lined so maybe
it's okay Pasta and noodles are foods that last a long time pasta and noodles and macaroni in something that normally
can be stored forever and you don't need to
worry about it expiring but I'm not sure
about the cheese powder I would think
that cheese powder would have an expiration date
that would matter so I boiled the noodles they
look just fine
I've added the milk the butter and the
cheese powder and stirred it all around
I think the macaroni and cheese looks a little more brown than
usual it doesn't seem to have any smell
at all
let's taste it and see how it is it
doesn't smell like anything looks a
little more brown than usual but I haven't eaten any mac and cheese in a
long time so I'm not really positive
let's taste it
it tastes kind of like it doesn't taste like
macaroni and cheese it doesn't really
taste like anything that has kind of
been oily film that coats your mouth so
I don't think it's something that I want
to eat it certainly is not appetizing
I think that's enough for me so I guess
we can say seven-year-old kraft macaroni
and cheese has definitely lost its shelf
life lost it's full flavor and probably most
of its nutrition make sure when you're
expired macaroni and cheese is not good to eat if it is long past the expiration date
buying foods for food storage you don't buy
so much that you don't eat it all up in
a reasonable amount of time
keep stockpiling food it's better to have
something than nothing in an emergency

Senedd Ieuenctid i Gymru - Siwan - Duration: 1:28.
I feel that a Welsh youth parliament will be an amazing opportunity
for Young people in Wales to have their voices heard.
And as somebody who feels strongly that we should have the vote at 16,
this is a perfect starting point to get politicians in Wales
and beyond to listen to us and realise that young people have
Strong views and their own political opinions,
on the issues that are important to them.
I sometimes feel that 11 may be too young to start people in the world of politics
But I also think if they come to politics that young and stay in that world
Maybe the electorate aged 18-24 will grow,
and politicians will realise the importance of paying attention to young people
And that our issues matter as much the issues raised by those older than us who vote.
As we've been having discussions in Bwrdd SyrIfanC meetings,
the Urdd's board for young people,
There was a feeling there too that this is an amazing opportunity for young people in Wales
The board allows people in the Urdd to discuss such issues,
but this goes one step further
By giving us a voice on a national level, and hopefully
there will be other youth parliaments from all over the world
that will want to work with us.
Perhaps in the future to come, we, the young people,
will be leading the way in politics.

Damanhur Time Travel Hippies of Italy - Damanhur Temples of Humankind - Damanhur Singing Plants - Duration: 7:41.
Thirty miles from the home of the Shroud of Turin, the tiny, sleepy Italian village of
Baldissero Canavese was able to keep secret for 15 years the underground location of the
commune of Damanhur.
At the foothills of the Alps underneath an innocent-looking suburban home in Northern
Italy, hundreds of hippies are living in a paradise under the earth.
The Damanhur Federation was founded by Oberto Airaudi and his 24 disciples, named after
the Egyptian city that hosted a temple dedicated to Horus the sky god, represented as a man
with the head of a falcon.
Airaudi also went by the name of "Falco" or the Hawk, based on the tradition of the cult
that members adopt animal names.
According to Falco this all started when he was a ten year-old child.
He had visions of a great Temple filled with people living together harmoniously.
As a man he had a successful career as an insurance agent, when in the back yard of
his home on a hot August night, Oberto told his believers he was waiting for a sign.
A falling star streaked across the sky.
He said to his friends, "We start digging now."
They used only hand tools - hammers and picks.
Beginning in 1978 and working around the clock, for the next 15 years these laymen carved
out an underground complex with no architectural plan, except for the sketches made by Falco.
It now descends five stories into the earth in a giant series of chambers connected by
hundreds of yards of tunnels.
One room is a four-sided pyramid covered in mirrors with a glass dome.
The ceiling of a room called, "The Hall of Spheres" is covered entirely in gold leaf.
Other ceilings, walls and floors are done in intricate mosaic murals.
Very early on, the collective of Damanhur also was involved in other new age projects.
They believe that plants can sing, and they developed equipment to allow humans to hear
the melody.
One probe is attached to a leaf.
Another probe is inserted in the soil between the roots.
Electric conductivity is measured and a converter assigns musical notes to the electrical impulses.
The underground Temples became public knowledge when a former member sued to regain his possessions
from the group.
Italian police and the public prosecutor came knocking at the front door in 1993, demanding
to be shown the subterranean temples - which were constructed without a single building
permit.
"Otherwise," they warned, "we will dynamite your hillside."
Falco replied, "Your threats are unnecessary," and he led authorities through the secret
door to the complex.
The officals were dumbstruck by expansive vaults 25 feet in height.
World-wide headlines helped the Damanhur Federation to turn their commune into a tourist attraction.
The government declared the sanctuary to be the 8th Wonder of the Modern World.
The cult revealed that in 1997 they unlocked the secret of time travel.
"Time Project" leader, Gnomo Orzo, says it is safer to travel deep into history than
it is to travel to the recent past, which might adversely change current events.
Orzo confirms the device is a machine.
Its purpose is to channel and magnify a person's own psychic energy.
The current population of the neo-hippie commune is between seven and eight hundred souls.
They have their own schools.
They issue their own currency, the Credito, equal to the value of the Euro.
They invented their own sacred language.
But they no longer hide anything.
They welcome visitors, and they welcome new citizens.
There are different classes of citizenship at Damanhur.
The "Class C" citizen is not required to live on site.
Class B citizens contribute money and must live there at least three days a week.
Class A citizens share all personal property with the commune and live on site full-time.
Only the Class A citizens are eligible to make use of the time machine.
Dad was a lawyer, and my mom was a flight attendant.
The main catalyst for my parents
to drop out, to quit their jobs,
and to, in their case, leave the United States
was the Vietnam War. My Dad got drafted,
and I think it was a very simple choice for him.
My parents left the U.S. when my mom was pregnant
and they had nothing but a backpack, so they were very poor.
My mom said that she gained eleven pounds during my pregnancy, so you can imagine that
they probably weren't eating almost anything.
We moved all the time, we pretty much lived out of backpacks, or the backs of trucks.
I want to say that I'm proud of my parents for sticking it out as long as they did.
They really did put in a lot of hard work, to live the lifestyle that they chose.

#Aaltonen 95 - Digital Sales Day Jälkipyykki - Duration: 8:05.
Hi again! I must always remember to remind you to subscribe to our channel.
Now, 926 people signed up to Digital Sales Day event 25th of April. I figured I would talk to you a little about how it all went down in the end.
The even began from a thought that rose when we analyzed our customers' dashboards. Wait, my phone is ringing.... It's my daughter.
Hi, I'm being filmed right now. Let's get back to this later on...
Who's there? -This is being recorded and we're going to publish this online.
Oh my god!
Daddy pleaaaaaase!
Ok, everyone can you please follow @LauraAaltonen on Instagram, thanks bye!
So, you get distractions when you have children.
Digital Sales Day was held in 25.4.2017 began when we noticed that the processes between marketing and sales are broken.
Yet lad flow, where most of marketing actions began, is working fine.
Leads are coming in. There's no problem in generating leads from attention online.
Real people leave their details and tell what they're interested in. They leave their digital footprints on company's website.
But how those leads are handed to the sales and how sales can close those deals is the next step.
That's where it all began. It was all quite spontaneous. I figured since we've done over 40 webinars last year, but I felt it was quite rough to host a webinar every week, so why we couldn't host one bigger event?
An event where we invited our friends to join us, and you know what? Everyone we asked showed up! One person couldn't attend and I asked them six months ago, but they couldn't close their calendar that far ahead.
In case of customer's work came up. I understand that.
926 people signed up. I don't know do you really care, but I'm going to tell anyway in case somebody is still watching.
There were 241 marketing professionals, 206 sales professionals. So roughly half were people who were marketing and sales professionals. Then there were entrepreneurs, sales directors, marketing directors, CEOs, job applicants and people from the IT-department.
From these leads, those who we have qualified so far, about 60% were people who wanted to educate themselves and we had no other common interests, but to offer valuable content and it won't lead to any kind of deals.
About 40% will continue with us and we'll start the conversations with them and seek if inbound marketing could help them in anyway.
We also create websites, help to get started with HubSpot, train sales and marketing, create social media and Google advertisements.
That's where we are now.
I also wanted to mention one major issue. When you hold an event, it's extremely important for people to join us in social media too.
#DigitalSalesDay exploded in Twitter during the day. of the event. That hashtag was one of the most trending hashtags in Finland during that day.
People felt the content of the event was so valuable, that they wanted to share it forward. Mika Patrakka from Elomatic shared with me (Link in BIO!) some social media stats.
We reached over 348 000 people in FInland via social media.
That was amazing to us.
40% of the attendees came from social media. They found it themselves came and found the content relevant to them. 20% came via Google.
They found something valuable them and thought the event was worth signing up. The rest came thanks to advertising, email campaigning, referrals etc.
If you wonder how much deals we did thanks to this event, well I'm not really interested in that. That's not the issue here. We can think of these events from other perspective.
We practice as we preach. The first step is to get attention, we gained attention. The next step is to do it often enough so that we can create trust. We're going to do it all over again,
We're constantly creating content, this is part of that whole entity. The purpose is to create relationship between us and our companies.
When a relationship is found between us, you trust me and our company. You'll trust Sales Communications and HubSpot. There's the reason why we should meet up, because our worlds meet.
That's why we do these things. It was a complete surprise it went so well! It helped us to understand the world a little better. Our investments were this bar table, 60€ from Ikea.
I also bought this microphone, it cost about 149€ (I checked). It's quite good. The rest was pure work. We used roughly 200 hours to organize the event.
Those were our total costs. on 5th of September we're going to host another similar event. The plan is to attract 2000 people that time around, well at least double the amount.
As long as it's 100% more than the first time around. Thanks for watching, and you're very welcome to join us in September on another Digital Sales Day! Link in BIO!
We're online and the event is free. 9 webinars and it's going to be a great success!

【MUKBANG】 So Easy ! Milk & Cheese Powder Pasta ! 3.6Kg, 7065kcal [CC Available] | Yuka [Oogui] - Duration: 5:49.

CEO Interview: Expert Market Meets Justine Roberts, Mumsnet CEO - Duration: 19:02.
Justine, thank you very much for coming in.
It's great to have you here.
And also this is our first sort of
- video CEO to CEO. - Okay. So I am the guinea pig?
- You are the guinea pig. - Excellent.
Thanks so much for joining us.
Mumsnet is sort of an institution within the sort of digital world.
And I would love to, sort of
I guess, understand where you came up with
- the idea for Mumsnet. - Yes.
Well, I mean, one of the things is that we are really old.
We've actually been going for nearly 17 years.
So, yeah. I feel slightly geriatric.
'cos, Internet years are a bit like dog years all over.
But really, the inspiration as, you know, often is,
it was my own personal sort of, need.
I had these one-year-old twins.
I went on a family holiday.
It was the first holiday, we had with children.
And it was a complete unmitigated disaster.
Wrong choice of venue, wrong choice of resort,
wrong choice of children.
And so it was, it was....
You know, a lightbulb moment if it was.
It was, "Why couldn't I have found out about this before I went?"
And actually not just holidays
but all this parenting stuff for which
you know, I'm pretty clueless and untrained.
It would be good to tap into the wisdom
of others who'd been there and done that.
So it was a very simple, no rocket science there.
But it was about my own need and so I came home and luckily found
a mate of mine who could code and we got going from there.
Amazing story.
Well, I have been on several holidays
with haven't worked with my children and so,
- I know exactly that experience. - Yes.
And, had you known before that?
That you wanted to be an entrepreneur.
Do you think, that you have this sort of, entrepreneur
desire before that or was it that moment, you think,
- "This holiday ain't working. - Yes.
- "Someone needs to start a conversation" - No. I didn't.
I was not one of those people who said though, you know
"I'm definitely gonna start my own business."
But, there was a bit of moment.
And I do believe serendipity plays a part in these things.
It was the right time and the right place for me.
I'd given up a career that I'd spent 10 years in.
Because it just didn't work with children.
So I was looking around for the next thing.
The Internet bubble was, at that point
just about to burst, actually; I didn't know that.
But it was kind of... Everyone was --
It was that wild west of the Internet
where everyone was having a start-up idea.
So, the situation was ripe.
It was ripe for me personally to try something.
I suppose, I was always entrepreneurial.
Although I didn't really -- I think women are bit different.
They don't call themselves entrepreneurs.
They just start businesses and do
you know, trade and stuff.
So yes.
The answer is a bit of a fudge.
No, probably not, in the sense of I didn't
leave University and think:
"I'm definitely gonna start my own business."
So what was the overarching vision for Mumsnet?
Mumsnet is all about making parents' lives easier.
So what we are trying to do is to allow people to connect
so that they can make their lives easier
by sharing that wisdom and knowledge.
So, a lot of it is user generated content.
But some of it is not as well.
We create content.
And we want to create solutions that make parents' lives easier.
So that's actually quite a broad remit.
Largely they are going to be digital solutions.
Cos that's what we know about.
But you know, we have quite a well-known brand now.
I'm just passionate about --
You know, we all know how hard it is just making those...
the irritating things in the lives of the parents slightly easier
would be a great win.
- Yes. - So that's the area we are in.
It's a very noble service.
And have you ever felt that -- I can imagine, you know,
I imagine, most mums who have got Internet access in the UK
have probably been on your website and looked for advice.
Have you felt, sort of a huge burden,
a sense of responsibility around those mums
in terms of, you know, I've got all this advice
and if I give the wrong advice,
or if the forum is giving the wrong advice.
How do you quantify that sort of burden of responsibility?
I mean, obviously you don't want to give bum advice.
But honestly, I promise you, it just would not get through.
When you've got a very large,
very opinionated and very wise crowd.
I mean, the Mumsnet audience is a pretty educated audience.
So, you know, if you ask a question about a health issue,
there will be many, many GPs on Mumsnet, giving answers.
If you ask about, you know, "I want to submit my thesis on
how Jane Austen did", there will be people
- who are experts in that field. - Yes.
So it's actually very rare.
And quite a lot of research has been done on this
for bad advice to get through.
It's probably more accurate, than one expert sitting there.
A very wide crowd. So, thankfully,
I can sleep at night knowing, that,
you know, thanks to the users of Mumsnet,
that, you know, isn't something really we've had to worry about.
Being a parent myself,
it's an incredibly up and down rollercoaster of a journey.
I was just wondering, I imagine, on Mumsnet
there's been a lot of mums who have been in very tough situations.
Are there some examples of sort of
times, when Mumsnet saved people's lives?
There are actually. There are some really dramatic examples.
So literally, people having ectopic pregnancy, diagnosed.
- On Mumsnet? Wow. - Yes.
I mean, several of those actually
presenting symptoms, get to the doctor right now
you've got an ectopic pregnancy.
And then, they come back and tell their story.
We had a live birth where the midwife wasn't there.
And literally the mums, have taught through,
the dad in this case, how to cope with the situation.
But then there's a lot more everyday prosaic stuff.
I mean, there is some cute stuff.
People have gone on holiday, forgotten their favourite toy.
A local Mumsnet has delivered
a toy that they have, which is the same to a four-year-old child
- who is no longer, weeping. - That's a lovely story.
And some more serious stuff around,
You know, people suffering domestic violence.
Being, kind of handheld through that process of leaving
an abusive husband.
And some stuff which is kind of just going on everyday.
Which is, everyday acts of kindness and generosity
and giving support and information
to people who are having a difficult time of it.
Mumsnet is this institution in the digital space.
Where do you see the next big sort of area for Mumsnet?
What's your big sort of growth story in the next couple of years?
I think, you know we need to deliver, what we do.
Which is, provides solutions for parents to make their lives easier
in whatever platform and medium they need it in.
As you know, in this world that's a challenge in itself, right?
You've got to stay current.
You've got to make sure that if people want to consume your product
via artificial intelligence, you are thinking about that type of thing.
So for me it's...
You know, we need to have the overarching aim,
"What are we here for? What's our purpose?"
And then we need to deliver it,
in the way the users want it delivered.
So I'd imagine, with Mumsnet you've met some pretty amazing people.
Can you talk about the most famous person you've met
and what you learnt about them?
Yes, we do. We get sort of all the great and good.
We've had every prime minister, every aspiring prime minister.
And David Beckham, and all kinds of people.
But I guess the most topically famous person
I've met, is Hillary Clinton, who did a web chat on Mumsnet.
And what would I say? Well,
you kind of think, she's a bit cold and aloof
but she's really not.
She is a kind of homespun, warm, American type
who engulfs you in her warmth.
But she also has a really good sense of humour.
So we have a comment, our community management team
always say on the board,
"The Secret Service will not comment on procedure."
And she learnt this and she did a little piece to camera saying,
"The Secret Service does not comment on procedure."
And we now put that clip up.
- So, she was a good laugh - Yes, yes.
- which was quite surprising. - Awesome. Fantastic.
I've been on various start-up journeys myself.
And you know, you have highs and you have lows.
Can you -- Would you like to sort of suggest
what your highest moment, your best moment in Mumsnet was
and your, sort of worst moment?
You don't have to answer either of those If it makes you feel uneasy.
There's kind of personal things and then there's, you know --
I mean, for me, very early on
when we started our forum, I had multiple names
and I was posting questions and then changing my name
and answering questions.
And for me, I think, one of the highest was when,
I no longer needed to do that.
So, I actually, rather ruthlessly got a friend of mine
who was pregnant, who rang me up and said,
"I've got these palpitations. Did you have that?"
I said, "I'll answer your question but could you ask it on Mumsnet?"
So, I've felt a bit guilty and rushed on to answer
and lo and behold, someone else appeared and answered.
So that was a kind of, really high and there were lots of highs and lows
I think you know, the 2010 election,
was christened, the Mumsnet election by the media
and that was quite jolly.
Because it's sort of propelled us into -- I mean it was hectic.
But, it propelled us into a space of, you know, you were being
transformed into this kind of media world of mass.
Everyone wanted a piece of you and that was quite fun.
But then there's been lots of lows too.
- As you would imagine. - There always are.
So I suppose, the most obvious one, the most difficult time was
when we were being hacked
by a kind of bunch of people.
Bunch of, sort of, Anonymous type people, who...
Who, you know, did a multiple range of things.
The Denial of Service, hacked into our database,
released passwords, did a data dump.
You know, it was just kind of one of those awful times.
When for a while, we didn't know how they were doing it.
So... And trying to handle the fallout from that.
Being very transparent with users.
Trying to keep their information safe.
It was definitely the hardest. And then,
they sent a SWAT team around to mine
and some Mumsnetter's house as well. So...
That's called "Being SWATted".
I'm officially the first person in the UK to have been, SWATted.
It's not pleasant having six armed policemen come around the house
with police dogs and
you know, think that you have been murdered.
- Which is what they thought! - What's the background to the story?
It was just kind of, it was the part of same hack.
It's kind of something, unfortunately that happens quite a lot in America.
I think gamers started doing it to each other, as a laugh.
But, it was all a part of, you know,
"Teach those mouthy women a lesson.", basically.
Do you feel that, that hack was
to do with sort of, anti-feminists?
Was it anti-feminists hack?
Do you think it was more just people --
- I think, some of it -- - What was the motive do you think?
Some of it was that. I think it was complicated.
Someone had trolled our board.
And Mumsnet is rather good at detecting trolls
and they have very little time for them.
So they got kind of vaguely humiliated.
And then drummed up. Kind of,
- "Let's get them bitches," type thing - Yeah.
Look, in the long run it's useful.
Our security is much, much better.
And one must never say, one was perfect, ever.
But we are alive to it, in a way that we weren't.
- And no one died. Right? - Yes.
Very often, I don't sleep that well at night.
I was wondering -- and I spoke to quite a few other entrepreneurs
about this. Lots of entrepreneurs don't sleep well at night.
- Do you sleep well at night? - Not really.
I do that sort of 4:30 AM waking
and then there's 10 million things I need to do.
It's always 4:30 AM. Isn't it? You look up and it's 4:30.
And I think you naturally have a period of light sleep at 4:30 AM.
The problem is, once you start making lists
it's hard to go back to sleep.
If I am, you know, in fully relaxed
probably in August or Christmas time
- when I'm just not as engaged, - Yes.
then I can go back to sleep.
It's just like me. It's August and Christmas, I sleep well.
I sleep fine, but the rest of the year, I don't.
And I don't really know what the answer is.
So if you find out, let me know.
I don't know, whether you should get up and start.
I have done that. I've got up and done email.
- Yeah. - And then tried to go back.
I can always go back to sleep at seven just when I'm...
Yes, just as the kids wake up.
It's always just as the kids wake up, isn't it?
Obviously there's lots of budding entrepreneurs out there at the moment
trying to build great businesses all across the UK.
And all across the world.
Have you got any advice, you'd offer a budding entrepreneur?
Something you have learnt that resonates?
I think there are lots of kind of things that people
would all agree on. Like, you've got to have a USP
and you must work hard
and you should always be flexible and pivot and all that stuff.
All of which is true.
But I think, I'll just say one other thing.
Cos, I think it's particularly relevant to female entrepreneurs.
When I was first trying to raise money,
just before the dot-com bubble burst
I got very close to raising money with a venture fund
and they wanted to give us 4 million quid. Unbelievable, right?
Cos, the numbers, as it turned out, were completely wrong.
Anyway, just before they did, they said,
"Look, we wanna give you this money, it's a great idea.
"But we want someone else to run it. You have no experience.
"And quite frankly, you don't look the part.
"You are a mum.
"You're not a 22-year-old thrusting American talking about burn rates.
You are completely different."
And my advice, really -- cos, I thought I wasn't ready
to give up before I've even started, so...
I didn't take their money, but in any case,
their money would have gone cos, there was the bubble burst.
But my advice is, more or less, no one is better than you
to run your business. Because you understand it.
You are passionate about it.
You are the reason, why the idea is there.
- So be firm. - Yes.
And don't let the, sort of, knockers,
knock you. Just because you may not look the part
or you may not sound the part
doesn't mean that you aren't the best person to do it.
You know, on that, sort of female entrepreneurs
do you -- how are you feeling about the sort of
the ecosystem for female entrepreneurs at the moment.
Do you think it's getting better?
How do you think you'd improve it?
I think there's a lot a focus on it, which is good.
I think we need to see success stories.
Women need to see other women doing this.
Because they are few and far between.
But I think, there is a problem with the funding.
Most of the funding,
is, if you think about it, coming from
a fairly cookie-cutter type of white male.
And they are interested in products for white males.
You know, surprise, surprise.
So, I think that's an area that needs a bit of attention.
Yes. So some female backed VC, sort of, firms.
Because, you know, it's a wasted opportunity, isn't it?
I mean, 50% of the audiences is female.
Absolutely, yes.
So there are more products to be developed,
there are more solutions to be made
which have a female emphasis.
So, someone clever, needs to put some money in there.
It's interesting, having met a lot of that community.
There is a very, very -- There's a lot of men in it.
And I've probably met --
There's probably about...10% women. It's very underrepresented.
It's very true. So it's a very good point.
So it's not surprising that female founders are underrepresented too.
So, do you feel this is a sort of,
in 'certain years' time, you feel like that,
that would be a career for you to think or?
No. It's not necessarily --
I don't think necessarily me, actually.
I'm not sure my skill set is quite that.
But, you know, who knows.
I have another question for you.
I was just wondering, how you feel about
the sort of role of CEO in society
and what do you think
what do you think, the responsibility of a CEO is?
What do you think the responsibility of the CEO is to society?
Well, I think, there is something in that.
I can see, why you asked that question.
I think actually, a CEO has a responsibility to
lots of stakeholders, really.
There's the staff.
The investors.
And the public or all of their customers.
And I think, the main way I...
think you should look at it is about sustainability.
I think CEOs should think about building sustainable businesses.
Sustainable for their customers, sustainable for their staff
and sustainable for the investor too.
And there are lots of stakeholders and they need to consider them all.
I think the sort of types of businesses which I think,
will increasingly get into trouble but also
maybe we will turn a bit of moral disapproval of
are the ones that are hiring and firing.
Going on this quarter's results are saying, "okay, you're out."
Or you are on zeros hours contract, you're in or you're out.
I don't think that's really a sustainable way to run a business.
It's definitely the people paying for that, are the staff.
So, yeah.
I think it's a fair question, I can see.
And I do believe, CEOs have a responsibility. Yes.
Within Mumsnet, do you have a sort of KPI
that obviously, you know --
I'm sure, revenues and profits are very important to you, but
is there a KPI that, sort of, you know
for the more altruistic side of the sort of business
that you sort a focus on or?
I would say, that is our --
We put purpose before profits genuinely.
- Yes. - So,
we only have -- we have five things that we want to do.
And only one of them is about revenue.
And even then, it's sustainable revenue.
So for us, revenue isn't revenue
unless, it is something that doesn't harm
our community, our brand, our staff.
So yes, we are focused.
Basically, we want to make a great thing
that offers solutions and makes parents' lives easier.
And then if we could make a buck out of it, we will.
- It's not the other way around. - Makes sense.
That's a pretty healthy attitude.
And, in terms of the future,
what would you like to be remembered for?
What do you think, Justine's legacy is?
Well, I think, you know, it's not about me.
Genuinely, I mean that. It's largely about,
this fantastic community where women go out of their way
everyday to help each other.
And so, maybe, Mumsnet can be remembered for demonstrating
that there is such a thing, as society.
And that, people left to their own devices
want to help and connect
- and, be kind. - Yes.
That's fantastic.
Thank you very much for coming in for this interview.
- and I appreciate it. - It's been an absolute pleasure.

Smoke Sauna Relaxation Moment - Duration: 4:39.
It's Saturday
and I am heating our smoke sauna.
This is something that I really like to do.
The weather is quite cloudy today.
But, umm..
I like this actually, because there's no wind
and it's really peaceful.
Heating up the sauna and having sauna in general is
Is definitely in my top three
ways of relaxing.
The best ways to relax.
Especially like this kind of a
sauna that is close to nature.
When you heat that and when you have sauna
the experience combines
so many elements that help you to relax.
There's of course sauna and the warmth.
And I love the sound of wood burning.
But then there is also nature.
You can look at it and and you can listen
the silence and the nature sounds.
While you feel really refreshed after having sauna.
It's something that is really hard to explain
how you feel afterwards. The feeling is just
both mentally and physically it's really good.
You feel no stress
just calm and good, refreshed.
Yeah, now I'm going to add some wood and
then
go inside and after a while I come again.
Come again and add some more wood
Maybe now I think about after an hour
we can start preparing having sauna.
This is nice.

我應該換名字嗎? Should I change my name? - Duration: 1:56.
Hello everyone
I'm Sylvia
Welcome back to my Youtube Channel
How is everyone doing?
In this video, I want to talk
about
I want to change my name
Because
My current online name is
Sylvia Easter
Sylvia is my first name
Easter is my middle name
my family name is Ong
In Chinese is 王
And
Why I don't put "Ong"
Because "Sylvia Ong"
I think a lot of people use this name
So end up I choose "Sylvia Easter" until now
So I use my first name and middle name
Look
You guys follow me so long
I usually speak Chinese with you guys
Look
About my Youtube's analytic
Which country
Watching my Youtube video
No:1 is Taiwan
No:2 is Malaysia
And so much more
In my opinion
I think people from Taiwan
They usually speak Chinese
Not most of them are
Speak and read English
So I think
Should I change my name?
Like "Sylvia Easter"
Add some Chinese name on it?
My Chinese is
王晓莹 (Wang Xiao Ying)
Everyone calls me Ying Ying
Should I change my name to
Sylvia Easter 莹莹 ?
莹莹 Sylvia Easter?
or
莹莹 Sylvia?
or
Sylvia 王晓莹
I think
Haiz
What you guys think?
Should I change my name?
Although this decision
Not so sure
I keep think about this
By the way, If I confirm change my name
I will film a new video
And then inform you guys soon
Should I change my name?
So that everyone
can remember my name
As Youtuber
I think I should
Responsible for that
I don't want to create a name
that people cannot remember anymore
I think
It's not good for a Youtuber like me
So I'm going to
To do something
I need to
change name (someday maybe)
I hope it will turn good for my Youtube Channel
