Youtube daily report May 5 2017

2, 3! Hello, we're DIA!

Thank you for coming here.

This is Somi, Ye Bin and Ju Eun.

We did two fan signing event,

did V LIVE,

and now we're inviting you guys here.

For those who are watching the show,

very nice to meet you.

Thank you for cheering for us throughout the whole day.

The reason why we prepared this show

was do you remember the acoustic show last year?

As Som Yi recently joined us,

we studied music together

and practiced together.

We wanted to show you our musical work.

We didn't have a chance to show you a big concert,

so we prepared an acoustic show.

Today's show is called "Falling Star Concert."

I hope you guys will listen to our voice and music,

and we think it suits the falling stars,

that's why we called our concert "Falling Star Concert."

The name is pretty right?

We'll read some stories from our fans.

Hello, I'm DJ Ye Bin.

Let's invite our first guest.

Can you tell us about the first song?

It's the kind of song you listen to when you sleep.

You feel happy and comfortable

when you listen to it.

That's why I decided to sing this song.

Ju Eun will sing this song.

Thank you.

That was the first song.

Thank you Ju Eun.

Please say hi to our viewers and fans here.

Hi, I'm Ju Eun from DIA.

Did you enjoy the first song?

I didn't hear that.

Let's read some V LIVE comments.

"The song suits the evening."

"The atmosphere is great."

Please read some comments for us.

"Compliments."

"Where are you hosting the concert?"

This is our company,

there's SUPER TV studio inside the company.

Say hello.

Hi, I'm Som Yi from DIA.

Ju Eun sang the first song,

what did you think?

It suits her voice,

it was soft.

Love you.

"Ju Eun is so pretty. I almost cried."

Thank you.

"Som Yi is so cute."

"Please do a cute expression."

Do these comments exist? Yes they do.

As I told you before,

we got some stories from our fans.

Ju Eun will read these stories.

Do I just pick one?

When I'm tired,,

I listen to DIA songs

and it makes me feel better as

I listen to it crying.

It's a happy song

but that fan cried to the song.

That's weird, it's a happy song.

Who's story is that?

Hello!

Congratulations for your 600th day anniversairy.

Today is our 600th anniversary and we'll work hard.

I'll read two more stories.

The writings are pretty.

A fan called rainbow sea wrote it.

The person wrote because something surprising happened.

My hobby is taking photos,

and I took photos of a model,

but that model wants me to take down the photo.

I think you were shocked.

I hope you'll feel some comfort.

Who wrote this story?

That person is not here.

I'll read one m ore.

What do you do when you're tired?

Please tell us some suggestion.

What do you do Ju Eun?

I look at the sky...

You talk like Eunice.

I look at the sky and tell myself it's okay.

What about you Som Yi?

I try to be by myself

because it give me time to calm down.

I keep listening to a song

and calm myself.

We listened to the first song,

and now let's move onto the second one.

Let's introduce the song.

Do you know Dean?

It's called "Come Over."

Before that, I found out about something.

Did you watch "Say You Love Me?"

Don't you know Ju Eun's "Say You Love Me?"

I'll help you know about it.

She's drunk by herself.

It's hard to watch.

I got this video.

When I was in the first year of high school,

I shot that in a hakwon.

Since we watched the video...

Let's listen to her sing "Say You Love Me."

Thank you.

Be more sincere. Wow~!

That's good.

That was really touching.

The song "Come Over"...

I wanted to choose an upbeat song

because the other two songs were slow.

This song is great for the evening.

I recommended this song during the fan singing event.

I thought it'd be nice to do a cover,

so I chose this song for the concert.

Let's listen to it together.

Let's listen to Dean's "Come Over."

I'm Som Yi, DJ for now.

I made a lot of mistakes

because I was nervous. Sorry.

Thank you for the song.

"Atmosphere is great."

Many people said your voice is great.

Ye Bin's guitar was great.

"Ye Bin is pretty."

"I love you Ye Bin."

"Ju Eun..." What?

I turned it off.

The harmony was great.

Thank you, I'll try to better next time.

Som Yi? Yes.

I'll introduce the next guest.

Guess who?

The first guest was Ju Eun.

I introduced her.

So smart!

I'm Ye Bin and I came back as the guest.

I'll play the next song.

Do you know the song?

My first song "Do You Want To Listen?" ended.

I'm the DJ now.

Why did you choose that song?

It was our first track song

in our first album.

It's been awhile since I sang the song.

I wanted you guys to listen to it once more.

There's a lot of memories behind the song,

so I prepared it.

Wow.

Shall we read another story at this time?

Hello, I decided to choose DIA over exams,

so I did bad for my exams.

What should I do?

Who wrote that story?

Hello.

Thank you for choosing DIA,

but what are you going to do about your exams?

I hope you feel better. The second story.

Today is DIA's 600th days anniversairy.

I hope there'll be a lot of stars for you in the future.

Atmosphere is great, so romantic.

Do you mean you were a fan since day one?

Who wrote this story,

please raise your hand.

The next song is Ye Bin's "Peach."

Please give me some water.

Read some comments please.

"Ye Bin, you're great at everything. What are you bad at?"

"Congratulations on your 600th days anniversairy."

"It's okay. You can retake your exam..."

Watch the concert,

and I hope you'll do better for your next exam.

Let's listen to the next song "Peach."

Ye Bin feels nervous.

Thank you.

I like IU a lot.

It's so hard trying to sing her song.

I think your voice suits the song.

Which member do you think it's the most "peach like?"

Ye Bin!

Ye Bin's hair color was pink before.

She cut her hair short,

and she looked like a peach.

So we called her peach.

I introduced this song to her?

She suggested the song to me.

I still have much to learn

but thank you for your understanding.

Who's the next guest?

I'm back as DJ Ye Bin.

Our youngest Som Yi prepared the next song.

Som Yi prepared a song.

Yes.

I feel so nervous when I try to sing a song by myself.

Don't be nervous.

What kind of song did you prepare?

I also prepared IU's "Raindrop."

It suits this atmosphere.

Let's listen to Som Yi's "Raindrop."

That was Som Yi's "Raindrop."

It was suppose to be until verse one.

But she finished the whole song.

Let's praise her.

Why did you choose the song?

The wind is blowing,

and spring's here,

so I decided to choose IU's song

for today's "Falling Star Concert."

Wasn't this your audition song?

That's right.

She sang this song when you auditioned for this company.

I also like IU.

I saw this girl doing an audition singing this sonsg

and it was Som Yi.

Why are you feeling so nervous?

I was thinking it's finished,

but it continued.

Fans are saying you're cute.

"A friend with big eyes."

Did you think of the past?

It's an important sonsg

that allowed me to join DIA,

so it means a lot to me.

There are a lot of "Somimaseng."

Still, Som Yi did well right?

Comments are saying you did well.

It's time to pick a story.

Som Yi, can you pick three storioes?

Please shake it.

Three stories?

Som Yi has a habit of saying "ta-da~"

When it's cold, she would shake.

Hello, I'm Jiyoon, 18 years old and living in Daegu.

It's my first time going to a fan signing event,

and I took the first train to Seoul.

I waited for 5 hours,

and I'm so happy to be here with you guys.

Who sent the story?

Thank you very much.

It takes 3 hours to take the bus,

and 2 hours to take the train.

You came here to see us during the weekend.

Thank you very much.

Second story.

Ta-da~

This one...

Hi Som Yi, I saw you at the fan signing event for the first time... I was so surprise.

Please work hard, I support you,

Fighting!

Who wrote this?

I didn't write it. Ah~

Thank you very much.

This person was so surprised because Som Yi is so pretty,

I hope you'll continue to adore her.

Please go and thank that person.

Thank you, I'll work hard.

Third person.

Hi, I'm go to the military soon,

I'm a DIA fan.

I want to listen to Ye Bin's song.

"Yeha", please come out.

Let's do a photo time.

Thank you.

Please take good care of your health.

Thank you.

I'll go to the military now!

Many of my friends are going to the military.

Thank you very much for supporting us.

We're here because of you.

Thank you for walking with us for the past 600 days.

Som Yi, you finished reading and singing.

Can you introduce the next song?

It's a song called "Angry."

I think I didn't sing well for the first song.

I'll sing the next song "Angry."

That was Som Yi's "Angry."

Som Yi's voice is unique.

Let's read some comments. Did you enjoy it?

It was good.

The comments all have "Som" at the end.

"Compliment-som."

I've always been curious.

What does "Kong-som" mean?

It means cute. Thank you!

"Som Yi sings with your eyebrows."

"This song suits you." Thank you very much.

There's a song we prepared as a group.

But before that,

we'll do something for fun.

As you know we have a DIA unit group.

We thought about making a name for our unit group.

We wanted to make a name that's memorable.

And we want to ask you guys

what kind of unit name sounds good for us.

People are commenting.

"Som Ye Ju."

"Cotton Candy"

"Som Ye Eun"

We can't do "Som Yi and friends."

Is there anyone here who can think of a name? Please tell us.

There's none?

Please say it loudly.

"Sweet babe?"

Ah..." Sweet Day."

Sounds pretty.

Thank you.

Manager?

The person at the back who raised his/her hand.

Please say it.

"Seasoning?"

That sounds new.

The person at the back?

"Ye Ju Som?"

"Star girls"

"100 scores Ju Som"

There's a lot coming up.

"Ye Bin please take the receipt."

Our manager always tells us that.

"Honeybee."

Over other, yes.s

A lot of people are coming up with names

based on our name letters.

"Ba ju som?"

A lot ends with "som."

"Fruit factory?"

"Ye Bin that picks up stars is pretty."

"Peach and friends"

Many left comments.

Thank you for that.

We'll think about it.

We'll announce the results next time.

Next is a healing song.

In the past, when I played the guitar,

I shot a video and posted it up.

It comforted me.

For those who are taking exams,

and the weather is getting warmer...

If you're stressed because of exams,

or feel tired,

I hope this song is healing for you.

Please listen to it.

That was our first group song.

How was it? It was great.

Thank you. Actually...

As we're promoting our songs,

we didn't have much time.

But we wanted to show our good performance,

so we practiced a bit.

We were nervous but

we're so happy to let you listen to our songs.

Let's read what our V LIVE viewers think.

Please read Som Yi.

Please read Som Yi.

Please wink to the camera, Ye Bin.

Hi, I'm Ye Bin.

There was a comment I wanted to read.

"Ju Eun, the kiwi color suits you."

My earrings are green too.

I wore Som Yi's clothes.

A friend with big eyes.

Can you sing "Do you want to go out with me?"

That was a ballad version.

We have various versions for the song.

Many people are saying it's so nice.

"iTeenlove" said

"Ju Eun, please act cute."

I'll do it after Ye Bin.

Ye Bin should be first!

Congratulations!

That was kawai.

Not me...

Please show a lot of love to DIA.

Now is Som Yi.

Hold on!

It takes time to shoot.

Let's watch our youngest Som Yi's cuteness.

If you watch YOLO,

there's a scene of her being angry.

We also want to see you angry.

That's right.

Feeling dizzy.

We're wrapping up "Falling Star Concert."

There is IM66 oppas behinds us.

Growing Lambs in High-Tech Plastic Bags - Duration: 5:41.

If you pay attention to science news, you may have seen some sci-fi-looking pictures

of a wrinkly, underdeveloped pink lamb in a plastic sack.

These pictures, published with a study in Nature Communications last month, are of something

called the BioBag.

This technology could someday have the potential to incubate a premature human fetus until

it's a little more ready for the world.

In other words, it's an artificial womb.

Researchers at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia developed the BioBag to try and

save the lives of infants born anytime before 28 weeks, even as early as 22 or 23 weeks.

Premature infants face a host of complications, but their tiny, underdeveloped lungs are especially

at risk.

In the womb, a fetus floats in watery amniotic fluid filled with a bunch of complex molecules

that help its development.

It gets all the oxygen it needs through its umbilical cord that connects its circulatory

system to its mother's.

Around 24 weeks in, the lung structures that swap out oxygen and carbon dioxide, called

alveoli, start developing.

But there aren't enough of them for normal breathing yet.

So if a premature infant takes a breath of harsh, dry air, the immature alveoli can be

badly overworked and start to scar, which could lead to chronic lung disease.

That's where the BioBag comes in: this single-use plastic bag system is designed to dunk the

fetus in lab-made amniotic fluid within seconds of delivery to keep their lungs away from

air.

It's also designed to provide a connection to oxygen and a lab-made cocktail of fats,

sugars, amino acids, and minerals that get pumped in through the fetus's umbilical

cord by its own heartbeat and movement.

This mimics the natural womb environment to keep up with all of their growing needs.

The researchers tested their technology on 8 premature lambs at a stage of development

similar to a 23-week-old human fetus.

The lambs stayed in the bags for 4 weeks, because that was how long the researchers

had permission to run the experiment, according to institutional animal protocols.

But they think the lambs probably could've grown up more.

Using the bag system, the premature lambs matured, getting bigger and growing wool.

At the end of the experiment, the researchers dissected them and found that their brains,

lungs, and other organs looked to be in working order.

Animal trials of the BioBag are still ongoing, and there are plenty of things they still

want to iron out.

For example, the synthetic amniotic fluid they used for this study was a simple solution

of electrolytes, meaning dissolved charged substances like salts and phosphate, while

the real thing has much more complex molecules that support development.

That said, the BioBag is not, and won't be, a replacement for a living womb from beginning

to end.

It only keeps a fetus going through the last few weeks.

And while the bag system admittedly looks a little creepy, the researchers intend to

make it even more womb-like, and eventually want to test how it can care for premature

human babies.

And this is maybe a little less exciting than saving infant lives, but we're learning

a lot about adult bodies too, like what's going on when you "hit a wall" during

exercise.

Endurance athletes like long-distance runners and cyclists know the feel.

You're cruising along just fine, until suddenly, it's like you've smashed into a brick

wall, Wile E. Coyote style.

Your brain is telling your muscles to move, but your muscles just don't wanna.

And a new study in the journal Cell Metabolism has uncovered a molecule involved in why this

happens, and maybe a way to stop it.

Hitting the wall has to do with the amount of energy available to your body.

Your body makes use of energy in two main forms: the chemical bonds in carbohydrates,

which are sugars and starches, and fats.

Your body breaks those bonds to extract the energy, which we colloquially call "burning".

Fat has more energy stored in it, but sugar is easier to burn, so it's a trade-off.

And different body tissues fall on different sides.

While your muscles can burn fat for energy, they use sugar, specifically glucose, a lot.

And the rest of your body, especially your brain, needs a steady level of glucose to

keep working too.

Hitting the wall happens when you use too much of the readily-available glucose.

Your brain goes, "Wait, hold on; I'm outta gas here, and I'm gonna need you to stop,

like moving, right now."

And to figure out how this happens, a team of researchers has been experimenting with

a protein called PPAR-delta-, which helps our bodies manage energy.

It's found in many tissues, but in muscle it seems to help us build endurance.

When mice were genetically engineered to not have any PPAR-delta- in their muscles, they

couldn't build endurance no matter how much they trained.

Then, the mice were given a drug called GW, which causes the PPAR-delta- gene in their

muscles to switch on.

These mice were capable of running on a tiny little mouse treadmill with no training for

nearly two hours longer than their couch potato friends who didn't get the drug.

The reason, the researchers say, is that PPAR-delta affects a bunch of genes involved in your

metabolism.

Basically, it ramps up fat burning in the muscles, while conserving glucose.

That way, your brain doesn't feel like it's going to run out and "hit a wall".

So the researchers admit that some athletes might be tempted to activate PPAR-delta with

drugs instead of spending a whole lot of time training.

But, they say, a drug like GW could also have therapeutic possibilities for people who struggle

with exercise because of age or chronic disease, but we still need more research for sure.

PERSONA Fast Facts ft. Erika Harlacher, voice of Ann Takamaki! - Duration: 1:29.

If your mugshot, your Velvet Room cell, and strangers whispering about your criminal record

weren't subtle enough, the Persona 5 protagonist's high school, Shujin Academy, has the same

pronunciation as the Japanese word for "Prisoner."

In the Shibuya subway station, there are Easter egg posters featuring characters from Persona

4: Dancing All Night, and their busy idol careers.

Apparently, Kanami has just dropped a new single, and if you go on a date in Harajuku,

the protagonist can get Rise's Sapphire poster for his room.

Persona high school emblems have been said to resemble car company logos.

Art Director Shigenori Soejima claimed it was merely a recurring coincidence after Gekkoukan

High School looked like the BMW emblem.

French manufacturer Citroën's logo seems to be the new coincidental resemblance for

Persona 5, though Morgana's catbus form also echos the Citroën H Van from the same

company.

The protagonist's Persona, Arsene, is inspired by French author Maurice Leblanc's fictional

gentleman thief, Arsene Lupin.

Though he lives in a coffee shop called Cafe Leblanc and there are many French influences,

like a French Tarot card deck, his persona was originally set to be Mephistopheles, a

demon from German folklore, before they decided Arsene was a better fit.

Morgana's code name is Mona.

Though Morgana becomes irritated when called a cat, Mona is also the name of a cat-like

creature created with Shift_JIS art.

Josh Kasper - He Could Only Do 10 Tricks? | #RetroRippers - Duration: 13:51.

Today on the second episode of #RetroRippers, we're going to find out what happened to

one of the biggest names of the 90s - Josh Kasper.

Welcome to Rad Rat Video.

Three times a week on this channel, we learn something new about skateboarding.

Sometimes it's trick histories, sometimes it's game reviews, sometimes it's YOUR

questions on #AskRadRat, so subscribe so you don't miss any of that.

But today we're going to find out what happened to one of our skate idols of the 90s - Josh

Kasper.

If you aren't familiar with Josh Kasper, then you must have missed out on a lot of

the best skating in the 90s.

This guy was known for going huge, probably more so than anybody else.

Let's take a look at how he got famous.

This is Jeremy Wray Skating at Carlsbad High in 1994.

He was one of the top pros at the time, and was really pushing it with huge gaps and speed

in a world where tech skating had died out.

Jeremy pretty much opened the door to doing real tricks at this spot.

People had done ollies and kickflips down the gap, but it was just too big to do anything

else.

You might know what's coming next - the first frontside flip down the gap.

You can see the reaction that got.

He also did a 360 down it.

So keep in mind where things are with the spot at this time.

A lot of the basics had been done, and it was taking pros out left and right.

Along comes this 20 year old kid, Josh Kasper.

He kind of came out of nowhere with his part in World Industries - Trilogy, where he really

destroys the spot by doing the first ever 360 flip down it.

Think of this like the 90s version of Dave Bachinski kickflipping El Toro.

It was so big that he was instantly famous for it.

Which is great, because he actually risked his life doing that trick.

A little while before, he bailed it and smashed his head.

He went to a doctor, who said if he hit that same spot again, it might kill him.

So he went back with a helmet and landed it.

Apparently Tony Hawk saw the footage and told him he needed to go back and do it without

it or nobody will take it seriously.

And so he risked his life to start his skateboarding career, and he did it.

Over the next 12 years or so, Kasper would go back to this spot and just keep killing

it with more and more difficult tricks, like this tre flip tail grab.

So a few years go by, and next thing you know, Kasper is everywhere.

He had about 20 different pro model decks over his career with Blind, and even a pro

shoe with the biggest shoe company at the time - Osiris.

Meanwhile, he keeps ollieing bigger and bigger gaps, like possibly the world's first 20

set ollie in 1999.

This part in 99 was actually his last major part.

The Osiris tour was so big and so demanding that it took up all of his time.

And during these tours, he started to get a bit of an ego going.

Jerry Hsu had a lot to say about Kasper from back then.

He talks about how he would bail tricks on purpose at demos to build drama and hype - trying

to get people to chant his name.

He would refer to himself in the third person too, and it was all inspired by pro wrestling.

Kasper admits that most of that is true - he was really into WWE wrestling - or WWF at

the time - and he was all about making an entrance.

He tells a story about how he was giving out awards at a skate camp, and he paid $700 to

fly 3 miles so that he could make his entrance out of a helicopter.

Apparently he learned that move from Tony Hawk, who did the same thing before, but…

he's Tony Hawk and he probably owns the helicopter.

Kasper would also show up to demos and other events in a limo.

AND he built up a fan group for himself, which I'll talk about in a second.

But there's one thing that Jerry said that Kasper completely denies - that he would bail

stuff on purpose to build hype.

To hear Kasper talk about it, he just wasn't that good, and he always pushed himself too

hard.

He even has some evidence for that, saying that he could only do 5 or 10 tricks.

So I thought I would take a look at that.

I watched all of his video parts, and wrote down all of the tricks that he does more than

once.

And I happened to come up with 10 exactly.

Here they are.

First, ollies.

Kasper was known mostly for Ollieing huge stuff, like over this DJ.

This is kind of a crazy story too.

He says that this gap was giant, and nobody had ever done it before, so he needed to make

a spectacle out of the whole thing just to force him to actually do it.

But even aside from that, you'll see a lot of straight ollies in his video parts.

Next, kickflips.

Not a lot to say here.

He does a ton of straight kickflips.

Later in his career, he started doing a few nollie ones too, but you don't see them

very often.

Third, heelflips.

Kasper was a huge heelflipper, including doing the first one down Carlsbad, and also possibly

the first to actually skate this spot like this, doing the gap and rail at the same time.

You'll also see him do a few fakie heelflips, which is a little unusual.

Not a lot of people do those, aside from Daewon Song.

Fourth - pop shove its.

You don't really see people do these plain that much anymore, but Kasper does them a

lot.

Fifth and sixth - lipslides and tailslides.

These are his most common slide or grind tricks that he does, by far.

Every so often you'll get lucky and he'll do something like a noseblunt, but it's

not very common.

Seventh- hardflips.

Any kind of vertical frontside kickflip thing was in his wheelhouse.

He did a ton of hardflips at the beginning of his career, eventually branching out into

nollie and switch a little as well.

But he also did a ton of frontside flips.

Again, the way he does them, this is almost like like a variation of a hardflip instead

of an actual frontside flip, but I'll still count it separately.

Ninth - Frontside half cab flip - again, just a variation of his vertical hardflip stuff

that he does.

He did a few nollie backside flips too, to be fair.

Lastly - the 360 flip.

This was his go-to trick.

If he was ever going to do something 'big', like an ender or a big trick for a demo or

something, he goes for a 360 flip.

It's the trick that put him on the map, and it's the trick he rode all the way until

the very end of his career - which we'll get to in a minute.

So, that's 10 tricks.

Every now and then you'll see something extra, like a benihana!

He gets a ton of slack for doing that trick - but seriously - his parts are those 10 tricks

over and over.

And to me, the limited trick selection was the worst part about the 90s.

You watch a video through and you see the same trick over and over and over.

How many frontside flips are in Welcome to Hell?

8 million?

Too, there was a rumor that he couldn't do grinds at all.

Transworld actually asked him about this, and he said "I don't know if I have the

patience for that.

I've just been more into going down stuff than actually doing handrails.

I guess grinding a flat, round bar was harder to me than anything else.

And then taking that to a handrail, when you can't do it on a flatbar … now that's

a problem."

The editor's note says that they have a picture of him doing a gap down a double set

to crook, but they can't publish it because someone else did it first.

But this was in 2004, when his career was already over.

Josh also couldn't skate miniramp.

He says, "Seriously, when I step on there, I think to myself, 'I can do two tricks.'

And they're not even tricks—like a 50-50 stall and a rock to fakie.

I've never taken the time to learn."

It's funny - he calls it a 50-50 stall instead of an axle stall, which really says something.

But even though Kasper was the worst part about the 90s, I still thought he was really

cool.

He had a lot of personality in his video parts, and he went bigger than anyone else, so there

was always a lot of excitement to see him skate.

I mentioned earlier that he created a fan club for himself, and his fans were called

Kasperholics, and he even had a website, kasperholics.com, which you couldn't miss because it was all

over his ads.

He was such a big name at the time that Blind just let him do whatever he wanted.

He got a pretty big head over all this stuff, and he was making more money than he knew

what to do with.

He said, in his best month, he made 12,000 dollars off of his shoe model, and 5,000 off

of his deck.

Adjusting for inflation, that's almost $25000 in a month.

And he said he didn't save ANY of it.

So he was buying cars, flying helicopters, and living it up as much as he could.

So although he comes across as a super doucher in the past, you should check out this interview

with Muckmouth that he did.

He seems like he really has his head on his shoulders right these days, and he just kind

of looks back on this time and laughs about it.

I think he really grew up a lot since then.

But what happened to his career?

He tells a story about going to Hollywood High.

His plan was the 360 flip - of course - the 16.

But he found the he couldn't even ollie the 12.

Skating had just become work to him and he realized that it was over.

Kasper was featured in a book called "Livin It - Testimonies", which was a book about

skaters and BMXers and their faith in God.

We'll get to that in a second.

But he's what that book says about his career ending.

"A few years after he turned pro, Josh started getting involved in partying and drinking

because that seemed like it was just part of being famous.

He was skating less and less, and it began to lose its appeal for him.

It no longer satisfied him.

Josh's sponsors began calling up and saying, "You need to get back in there and do more

demos and competitions and stuff or we're going to have to drop you."

Eventually Josh lost all his sponsors, because he just felt like he couldn't live up to

their standards and expectations for him to keep doing bigger and bigger stuff.

For years, he had been trying to keep up with what the companies expected from him, and

he was getting tired of it."

So he got kicked off of his sponsors, and he says he deserved it and saw it coming - and

Rodney Mullen himself fired him.

But he felt really bad about it and actually gave him three months' pay as severance.

That was pretty cool.

Skaters are pretty much always independent contractors, so it's not like he had to

do that.

I thought that was pretty cool.

It seems like this was in about late 2003.

His ads showed that he was actually filming for a Blind Video up until this time, but

it never surfaced.

The next Blind video was "What If" in 2005, well after he had been dropped.

I wonder what happened to that footage.

Another thing that happened was that Kasper's dad died in 2001.

So that happened, he lost his sponsors in 2003, and he started to have some issues with

depression and hit a low point in his life.

At this point, he started to go to church with his mom and rededicated himself to God.

This really turned his life around and he started getting involved with Bible study

groups and all that kind of stuff.

In fact, he got so much into that stuff that he got involved with something called King

of Kings Skateboard Ministry.

This is a group that will go somewhere, give a 15 to 20 minute Bible discussion, and then

do a skate demo.

He also got involved with Reliance skateboards, a Christian deck brand that's really into

the same stuff.

Using skating as a way to reach kids and spread a Gospel message.

He did some tours with Reliance, and actually filmed some new stuff around 2008 - where

he was actually better than ever.

He says he 'screwed up again' and stopped working with Reliance, but then was with them

again later.

Right now, as of 2017, he's not listed as being on their team anymore.

So what is he up to?

He still skates, a couple times a month.

He's still got his favorite trick, the tre flip, on lock.

He got married in 2012, and he bought a skateshop - Avalanche Skate Shop in El Cajon, California.

Unfortunately, according to Facebook and Yelp, it's been out of business for about a year

and a half.

It also had some mixed reviews from customers saying it wasn't a great shop, but who knows.

So what is he up to right now?

I don't know.

He isn't active on social media at all, and those last interviews were probably just

before the shop closed, from what I could tell.

He's 41 now, probably still skating a little, and hopefully he's doing alright.

If anybody knows what happened after his shop closed, or if you've been there and met

him, let me know about it in the comments.

And if you have a favorite retired skater you want to see me catch up with, let me know

in the comments and you might see him on RetroRippers next time.

But until then, make sure you subscribe so you can keep learning about skateboarding

3 times a week, and check out these other recent videos you might have missed in the

meantime.

Thanks for watching.

Its gonna be a great fight, a exciting one that people are waiting for. All of Mexico will be watching to see who really is the best fighter in all of Mexico right now

How do you see this rivalry

Well at the end of the day its good to get the country going and the arena as well. I'm happy to see that atmosphere in Las Vegas

A environment that I have lived for my fights and others with other fighters but I havent seen that fevor spill outside

The public knows this is going to be a head to head fight

without offending anyone, Mexicans always give the best fights in boxing

What do you see about the weights

The truth props to them on figuring out the weight to be able to fight. Its a complicated fight. One guy has to go up ten pounds a other has to go

to a weight he hasnt been to in a long time

is something admirable and let's hope they give it their all in the ring.

When you step in the ring, there's nerves as well as a lot of adrenaline

I hear they dislike each other and who is the best here and there. In the end it will be exciting. the fight will be emotional.

at the end of the day you realize, the difficult part has passed and that the impossible has been accomplished.

is good to step down from the ring happy, in one peace and sane. today you laugh at the things you used to do

Remembering is reliving it again, we all had good and bad things. Every fight is history. Sharing the fights with the fans is always emotional.

is going to be a very complicated fight, I don't have a favorite. I hope they both give their best in the ring.

I think the fight will end via Decision. I don't see the fight ending by knocking out.

Keshe Foundation Plasma Water from Ghana clip - Process Diabetes and High Blood Pressure - Duration: 6:07.

Can you please show us the bottles, if you can

The products, which are certified

to go into the market by next week

which already have been used across Accra and across Ghana

by many peoples, that`s why there is a plan to launch it faster

is what you see.

The factory is setup and these are some of the products you will see

This is how we market the material into Ghana

Waters, all been passed, tested by FDA

by Standard board, and it carries

the Logo of the Keshe Foundation, Ghana Atomic Commission

as Keshe Foundation Ghana Limited

everything we do, get`s checked, certified

by governmental organisation and now,

we get scrutinized by parliamentary, scientific organisation

you will see these across Accra across West Africa from next week

Now, that the certification is completed

is been tested by the scientists

that they say, in one of the conference meetings we had

with the boards of the authorities

one of the scientists who have tested this, he said this water

is so pure, that we do not need to bring anymore

Liquids for injection, is purer than what we bring

So immediately they have found a response

in what they used to import does not need to be done

This is how we come, as i said,

We started giving the Technology to the governments in patent and keys

We brought it to public, and now

we brought the products at the level

of very small amout of money

that peoples can buy

a mixture of combination, certified,

will bring the effects, like Diabetic, high blood pressure and the rest of it

We don`t promote anything, but changing the structure

where the governments spent billions every year

for what can be solved with a few dollars

and then changes for good

when you take pharmaceutical materials

you become dependant on it

and the body does n`t change, because its a foreign element forcing

when, what we have seen with these kind of technologies

is that the way they are produced as part of the structure

of the working of the planet

they work within the body as a planet

and then we see eradication

of many diseases

we have done tests

and one of the biggest problem

in Africa, is Typhus.

and its taken us three days to overcome it

Doctors in the hospitals have taken all the test

and they have seen it what is a killing disease of virus,

now is not there, so in the coming time

we will release in different shape or form

products that affect directly certain diseases

and this is what already been tested

few thousand peoples in Ghana at the highest level

have been using these on their own accord

and that`s why parliamentary comity has been setup

by the order of the Parliament and the Ministeries

that, they have been told there is a magic thing, is kept by the Atomic,

as a secret product, why can not be in the hand of public,

and that`s why we are there,

we become part of the structure

to release these kind of Technologies

and the costs where you don`t have to take insulin

where you don`t need to pay with the costs of your arm and leg

and in three month, six month you walk away

with no diabetic, with no high blood pressure

with no other diseases

we process we don`t treat

and now we have government behind us

they do not care, when you have six million peoples

with high blood pressure and about the same

with Diabetic, which is uncurable for them

this is a god given gift because there own peoples in government have been using it

the beauty of it is, it`s them who are taking the Technology forward

not us, but now this way, we have brought in them public level

a man can not loose his arm and leg

because there is no solution with Diabetic

i lost one of my great uncles to Diabetic

by Amputation of the leg and the rest

in a Hospital in Tel Aviv a handful of years ago

because there was no cure for him

the last time i met him in Tel Aviv

he was on the wheelchair, with legs amputated

because of Diabetic

if we have this knowledge, no man should loose anything

anymore no arms no legs, no man should go through a heart attack

because of the high blood pressure

and the brain hemorrhage it costs less than ten dollars

I thank the scientists who work at Keshe Foundation Ghana Atomic

and we are proud and we stand by the management of the Keshe Foundation

and the management of Ghana Atomic

and the Ghanean government who have supported us so heavily

because they have seen the results

How To Be A Good Friend Part 2 (Inconsistency, Disrespect & Mind Games) - Duration: 6:53.

Another way to be a good friend is to be consistent.

A lot of people I found are not consistent with their communication.

You ring them, you talk to them, you text them, and they are actually not consistent,

they don't get back to you.

And look if they're a person who is kind of all over the shop and unorganized it might

make sense.

But they should at least tell you, 'Hey if you ring me or call me or text me if I'm busy

then I might not get back to you for one or two days because I am really busy but I will

get back to you'.

That's kind of acceptable and I understand that because I'm kind of like that myself

as well because I am busy all the time doing different things.

But at the same time, I'm talking about the people who don't even do that at all.

You call them you text them and they just never call you back.

They just never talk to you back.

That's not a good friend.

You don't want to be like that.

So be consistent in your communication and be consistent in how you treat someone.

Don't just be treating them nice when you are together behind the scenes and then when

you're in a group setting you treat them like crap.

You don't want that.

That's not being a good friend.

That's disrespectful.

You want to value someone just as much in a group as you do one on one.

Now, you might not be able to talk exactly the same with one another because there are

other people there.

You have to accommodate and respect other people so your behavior might change a little

bit.

But you don't want to disrespect your friend in a group setting.

And I've found that's what a lot of people do.

That's what a lot of people do.

One on one they are really nice and kind and then in a group they will put that person

down for whatever reason.

I think I've even done that in the past myself but I don't do that anymore and I haven't

done that for, I don't even know, years and years.

Because it's not good to do that, and that's really a violation of trust.

It's disrespectful.

Another thing I'd say is... stick to your promises.

That's kind of in the same vein as be consistent because if you say you are going to do something

then you better do it.

But if you say you are not going to do something or you're unsure then that's truthful too.

Just say, I'm unsure, I'm not going to tell you yes or no right now because I want more

information and then I'm going to make my decision and I'm going to give you my decision

in two days or something like that.

If you give someone more certainty about what you're doing you can be more honest.

You don't have to always do what someone else wants you to do.

You just be honest.

Look, I've said to all my friends, and they respect me for it, I always say, look, I don't

really want to do that.

It's just not what I want to do.

There doesn't always have to be a reason, sometimes there is a reason, but there doesn't

always have to be a reason.

But I'm not an idiot about it.

I'm not rude about it.

I'm not just saying, ahh I don't want to do that I never want to do anything.

I'm giving.

I want to do things.

I try to do things because I want to.

But when something is kind of bothering me I am honest about it and I tell the person,

this is bothering me, or I don't really feel like doing that, or how about we do this instead,

or I'll get back to you another time but I'll make sure I get back to you.

That certainty, that consistency, I think is very important for building friendships.

Another thing that will make you a good friend is actually studying your friends.

Really trying to understand who they are as a person.

And you might think that's a bit full on but if you really think about it, exploring someone,

exploring someone's mind, their thoughts, their emotions, their history, where they've

been, where they've come from, their aspirations, where they want to go in the future.

When you explore someone in depth you're interested in it, you've become interested in that person

and they can really feel that.

They can feel that deep inside them.

Wow, this person wants to explore who I am.

And you're not full on about it.

You don't just press into them like, 'I want to know everything about you'.

It's just a natural progression.

You ask them questions and you actually want to hear their answers.

Wow, what a wonderful concept.

But in today's world people don't ask questions.

But in today's world people don't ask questions.

I've talked to so many people and they don't even ask questions.

They don't ask questions about me and that shows me that they don't care about me.

Some people don't like too many questions, I understand that, but I think if you really

want to grow and explore each other you do have to be able to always ask questions of

one another.

What do you think about this?

What did you do here?

What's your favorite thing?

All this different stuff.

Explore who your friend is, and that exploratory process really makes a strong friendship and

connection.

Another thing is, to be honest with your friends.

You don't want to build a relationship on dishonesty.

You want to be honest with them.

Honest with how you feel.

Honest with what you're thinking and ultimately you want to be transparent.

And look, sometimes you need your spare and you don't want to ramble on and always tell

everybody everything about yourself, that's fine, I get that.

But overall you want to be kind of transparent and that helps you to be yourself.

But overall you want to be transparent and that helps you to be yourself.

Because you're transparent you can be yourself, you can just say, hey you're my friend how

are you going?

Let's just hang out.

You don't need to think about everything you're saying, you're not playing mind games in the

back, you're not trying to use someone or do all this sneaky stuff.

You're just honest with people, upfront with people.

And I think that is the foundation for building a good friendship and it helps you to be a

good friend and a good person.

Thanks for listening and I hope you guys have learned

something.

Leave anything in the comments if you want to teach me something because I am up for

learning as well.

And I love you guys.

Please subscribe and I'll see you in the next one.

Is Logic's Next Album His Last? - Duration: 3:30.

Yeah, so basically at the end of the whole album--and disclaimer if you don't want

to know how this album ends, go listen to the fucking album cause this can ruin everything.

It's going to ruin all of it. So like, keep this shit in here Genius, don't fuck it up! DISCLAIMER!

Spoilers.--So after Neil gives his beautiful speech about mankind and just loving others

and respecting others and living your life according to your happiness and the betterment

of all, you hear ambiance of outside and nature and it's actually the same ambience from

the end of the last album.

It's exactly the same ambiance and then you hear footsteps and then you hear Thalia

say "This concludes the program."

Just like she did on the first.

And then you hear Kai from 'The Incredible True Story' goes "God damn, how long we've

been fucking walking?

We've been out here forever."

And then you hear Thomas say, "Thalia says we'll be there in an hour and a half."

"Well shit at least we got good walking music or is that it?"

Thomas says, "Oh no I'm putting in his fourth album now.

His final one."

Yeah, I gave everybody my whole life and this was the album that I'm supposed to make it.

I'm not getting into it.

I haven't even begun to get into that world but that's just going to be the celebration.

That's going to be the last one.

Everything with my life has been so fucking serious and it's been a fucking message

and that's not to say there won't be a message and whatever but I just want to end

everything with a really big bang and get the fuck out of here.

Better to go out while on top like Jerry Seinfeld, 9 seasons, number one fucking show in the

world, over a billion dollars.

I rather do that.

Doesn't mean I won't necessarily be involved in hip-hop community.

I doesn't mean you might not get a crazy Andre 3000/Logic rap verse in the cut.

But it's I'm just done with albums and it's going to be the last one so you motherfuckers

better buy that shit and tune in and see what it's going to be about cause it's going

to be very special.

I'm going to do something that has not been done in hip-hop before and I mean that conceptually

as well.

It's going to be the one that ties...it's the quadraptriology.

If they're putting on the next one, it must live in that 'Incredible True Story' universe

and it's going to be a story to end all stories including my own.

And then I'm going to go fucking act and get this money.

I'm going to be a husband and take care of my little puppies and have some fucking

kids and just enjoy life.

Fuck that.

The other thing is, it's crazy, four albums doesn't seem like a lot but when you think

about all the projects that I've done, 'Young Broke & Infamous,' 'Young Sinatra,' one,

two, three...just everything.

The album.

The second album.

'Bobby Tarantino.'

All within a few years or so.

7 years.

It's a lot.

It's not like I haven't broken my back and damn near have gone half fucking crazy.

So yeah don't' see it as a sad thing.

See it as an amazing awakening and something that you guys are going to be able to, we

are all going to be able to experience together.

It's going to be dope.
