The 3 Best Mustang Axle Back Exhausts for 2005 - 2009 Ford Mustang GT - Duration: 6:00.

Hey, guys.

I'm Stephanie with americanmuscle.com, and today I'm bringing you a video with my top

three popular axle-back exhausts that'll hopefully help you narrow down and choose the right

product for your Mustang.

There are a ton of options out there when it comes to axle-backs for the GT, and we're

talking about different sounds, different materials, and different price points, so

it can be hard to find a good starting place.

I'm going to walk you through the three different axle-backs that I've chosen, and they'll range

from a mild to medium, to loud upgrade, based off my experience, and of course customer

feedback.

So an axle-back is always going to be a great option for someone that's looking to improve

the sound of their Mustang in a more affordable way than picking up a cat-back.

Axle-backs are easy to install, and you can add onto your exhaust over time to make it

louder if you want to by adding a mid-pipe or even picking up a set of headers.

That being said, sound is usually one of the most important things to consider when you're

shopping.

So let's talk about what I picked as the quiet or mild upgrade.

The Flowmaster American Thunder axle-back is the system that I'm going to name here.

This system is going to be for someone who wants just a little bit more from their exhaust

in terms of both sound and volume, but that wants to stay away from any interior drone,

any raspy notes, or excessive volume.

This system offers what I consider a classic Mustang sound, so that traditional Flowmaster

tone.

Just slightly louder than the stock system both inside and outside of the car, and for

that reason I'm going to rate this as a two out of five on the loudness scale.

This system features the Flowmaster 44 Series muffler, one of the true OG Mustang mufflers

if I had to name some.

If you've been around Mustangs long enough, you know why I say that.

The axle-back is a two and a half-inch option and made of 16-gauge stainless steel.

So you're at the top of the line here when it comes to materials.

So you can expect a little bit of a higher price point from this system.

But if you want something different, something that's going to be louder than just a little

upgrade, but that isn't going to rattle the windows on startup, you might like the next

option better, which is the MBRP axle-back.

A middle of the road option like this one here can give you the best of both worlds.

You get a much more noticeable improvement in sound and volume.

But you won't have to worry about being too loud.

The MBRP is going to be a three out of five on the loudness meter, and it's deeper-sounding

than the stock exhaust.

It's one of the systems that I personally think balances a deep tone, a good amount

of volume, and the smallest hint of raspiness to deliver a tasteful, not over the top sound.

You're still not looking at interior drone with this system either, and another big upside

of this axle-back is the price point.

You'll have a hard time finding a system for less than this one here.

Of course, a big factor that drives the price point of any exhaust system is going to be

the materials.

You're not looking at stainless steel here, but two and a half-inch aluminized steel instead.

Aluminized tubing is going to have its positives and its negative.

Basically, what you're looking at is a really affordable price point.

But the negative is the lifespan of the product if you're shopping for a daily driver that

sees all different types of road conditions.

You may see a little bit of a shorter lifespan if that's the case, but this shouldn't scare

you away from this axle-back.

If you're not looking for a mild or middle of the road option, then you're looking for

loud.

If you want loud, I'm going to suggest the tried and true SLP Loudmouth axle-back.

This is a five out of five on the loudness meter, and the Loudmouth system totally changes

the sound of the Mustang.

It doesn't get much louder than this from an axle-back.

Someone in the customer reviews implies, "If you want your neighbors to know when you're

taking the Mustang out, this system is for you."

You're looking at two and a half-inch 409 stainless steel here.

Thanks to the fact that you aren't really getting a true muffler setup, you're also

getting a lower price tag.

You can expect a lot more volume both outside and inside of the car.

Along with that, you can expect some interior drone.

So I wouldn't recommend this system if you're opposed to a little bit of drone.

You can also expect a much deeper sound with some raspiness to it, and some gurgle or popping

on decel.

Basically, what most people look for if they want a truly aggressive exhaust, in my opinion.

So those are going to be my three choices when it comes to axle-backs for the '05 to

'09 GT.

Keep in mind that these are just suggestions for you, based a little bit off of some customer

reviews and mostly off of my personal experience.

Now, Ted Cruz has a message that CNN should probably take into consideration if they want

to remain on the air.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), is one of the most influential people in our country, and after reading what

he has to say about CNN, it is easy to see why.

In a Twitter bomb about the way CNN threatened to blackmail the citizen who made the GIF

of Trump wrestling with the CNN logo, Cruz points out "It's a GA crime if they threatened

to 'disseminate any information tending to subject any person to hatred, contempt,

or ridicule…"

Cruz has a strong history of doing the right thing and following the laws precisely how

they are meant to be interpreted.

American Thinker mentions how Cruz quite literally helped save our Second Amendment rights.

He wants what is best for the country based on the law of the land.

What CNN is doing here is blackmail, pure and straightforward.

It is not acceptable behavior from ANYONE, let alone one of the top liberal news networks

in the country.

We can't be too surprised considering the state of mind Democrats find themselves lately.

It doesn't matter how upset they are about a little GIF; they have NO RIGHT to put this

American citizen in danger of retaliation because his 20 second GIF hurt their feelings.

The media and EVERYONE on the Left need to grow some thicker skin.

How cowardly is it that they got on the air and whined that the GIF promoted violence

against the media?

These are the same people who have no problem airing footage of individuals talking about

assassinating President Trump.

The hypocrisy is enough to make your head explode.

functioning at 100% and that something was wrong, and

did I feel imperfect? I'm not sure.

and having the catheter inserted into my body I felt like... it was like an invasion kind of thing

[Jody B, In-Centre Hemodialysis] I understood that my kidneys weren't functioning and I needed to have some sort of dialysis. You know everything was scary for me. You know I'd always ask my mom if I had to have a test, "Will it hurt?".

Like seriously, that, as a six-year-old that's what I thought. I wanted to know what's involved because didn't want it to hurt.

[Becky S, Home Hemodialysis] This is what I wrote the night before I went to have my PD tube put in.

I'm feeling like I'm on a countdown to a huge life change.

My body which has been so good about taking care of me will have a peritoneal dialysis tube inserted tomorrow to prepare me for home dialysis.

I don't like the idea of something hanging out of my body. Of chemicals being put into my body and then taken out.

The alternative, however, is that I simply die. And I'm really not ready for that part.

Mostly my first day of dialysis is a bit of a blur. About the only thing that I can remember

is saying to the nurses, "ok lets just do it". From there they took charge... in a very

professional, gentle sort of way and lead me though, set me up, hooked me up and I don't even remember the amount of time I sat there.

I understand it's a lot coming at you, and I understand that it can make people want to go… kind of give up.

But I would say, you know what? The first thing you need to do is learn about your care and learn about what's going on.

The next morning after I had done my dialysis at night, my blood was very clean. So theoretically you should be able to go up and down stairs, you should be able to have lots of energy. Well you don't, really.

Probably the second day is probably your best day.

And then the third day your blood is all mucked up again. So you're ready to go on dialysis again.

You've really got to decide that you're going to put one foot in front of the other and that you're going to take one day at a time. Just be thankful you've got the day.

If you've learned and you know, then knowledge is power. You have that power. And then you can then talk more logically and present

better arguments to medical staff. Your nephrologist or your nurse about certain points that you feel are important.

When I started hemo dialysis I lost a bunch of weight because I was eating healthy and not as much of the bad stuff and… yeah I got a new wardrobe out of the deal.

to the painted base then they take the horn which has been gold-plated and

polished and screw it into the tonearm

after 15 hours of craftsmanship this Grammy is ready to be awarded but this

trophy won't be handed out during the award show the Grammys handed out on

stage are actually props that are used year after year the winners receive a

personalized trophy a few weeks after the show the base has a brass plate

engraved with their name and musical category

trilogy we're playing crash bandicoot the very first game and now we're going

to start up the creek we just jump right back into this and I'm I'm oncoming a

boss I do I'm coming on to a boss very soon as soon as I beat this level I

think there's a boss like right after and it's actually my favorite boss in

the game Ripper Roo I can't wait super excited I'm excited song is it there we

go yeah all right so we're starting good we

got us a mask and we're in another repeat level it oh and I'm drownded did

it's so crazy because when I used to play this game it was hard but I thought

it was just because I was little but it's actually such a precise platformer

like if you fairly missed the platform that's it you like you barely slip off

your dead like that see I thought I had that jump and instead of use the game

being so forgiving nowadays that this one it's the same as it's always been if

it's not like you you're dead you're dead you just said you've got to be

patient you have to wait for that ledge to come

you can hit it and be like pow you got it like so heal

if my PC can handle it or what it's just it's not coming out the way I like it so

I got to get comfortable changing stuff around to get certain things working for

after first crash, it spattered to pieces

so, we're getting to work, yeah?

but still better than it was, yeah?

I just wanted to come and

talk you through what I was doing

So the first thing I did

was cut a piece of soft cardboard

Recycled Material from one of those like stocking

arm..

holders things

And

I put it inside the hat

to make it a little bit more sturdy

covered it with glue with another piece of black fabric

and this is me here embellishing

with some left over materials from

my exams

So I just..like...

Used the extra materials that I had

The Angel is actually

piece of one of my favorite jerseys

It gone through now

But

even though it gone through I still

wanted to use the applica so I just

kept it for centuries and decades

waiting for an opportune time to use it..your see it?

So...

Yea

I just stocked it on because

Nobody have the time to sew that whole applica

on the thing

you know what I'm saying

Armm....

Yea

I didn't buy any materials to make this hat

Or to embellish this hat

I used materials that I already had.

But the real life changing moment came when award- winning journalist Jeffrey Gettleman

was living in Newark, New Jersey and working for the New York Times.

He was assigned to eastern Africa.

"FOR ME IT WAS A DREAM JOB, BECAUSE IT GAVE ME THE LICENSE TO EXPLORE A PART OF THE WORLD

THAT'S REALLY INTERESTING, REALLY BEAUTIFUL, REALLY DIFFERENT FROM ANYTHING I HAD EXPERIENCED

GROWING UP, AND IT'S EXCITING"

His coverage on Somali pirates earned him a Pulitzer Prize.

"I WOULD GO INTO SOME OF THEIR PIRATE DENS.

AND INTERVIEW THESE CHARACTERS ABOUT HOW THEY RAN THEIR BUSINESS, AND THEY WERE VERY COLORFUL

AND DYNAMIC"

THEY'RE THE CRIMINALS, THEY'RE GANGSTERS, BUT THEY CARRY THEMSELVES WITH A CERTAIN AMOUNT

OF SELF-CONFIDENCE AND BRAVADO.

AND THE WORLD WAS PARALYZED BY THESE POOR FISHERMEN GOING OUT INTO THE MIDDLE OF

THE OCEAN IN THEIR LITTLE DINGHIES, HIJACKING ENORMOUS SHIPS, HOLDING THEM FOR RANSOM"

Wanting to report on more than pirates, war, and economic strife, the 20-year veteran journalist

penned his first novel "Love Africa: A Memoir of Romance, War, and Survival"

IT'S AN ESCAPE. AND THAT WAS PART OF MY GOAL OF WRITING IT.
