Living Cheap in NYC- Best Bagel Challenge ! - Duration: 10:08.

What is going on Members of the Barrio?

It's Jon coming to you from New York City

And today.. we're going to be doing the Bagel Challenge

That's right we're going to be going exploring

One of New York's cheapest food items

We're going to be going to five different places

And we are going to be trying

One bagel with cream cheese

From each of these spots

And declaring.. one place

The Bagel champion

I have dreamed of making a video like this

For a really long time

Let's get started

Stop number one

Murray's Bagels in Greenwich Village

I love your videos man.

Oh you've seen my stuff?

What's your name?

And one plain with cream cheese please

One plain with plain cream cheese?

Yeah

First taste test

We're going to rate this on a 1 to a 5

Just like I did the Pizza Challenge

My first bite of Murray's

I like the cream cheese

I don't know if I got the freshest bagel per say

I'm going to take one more bite

Maybe not as cruncy as I would normally like for a bagel

I'm going to give it

Three out of Five

Very solid

But..I think we can possibly do better

On the rest of the tour

I would recommend you come here

But.. I grew up in North Jersey

I had a spot where I lived in Fair Lawn

Where I think the bagels were better than this

This is very solid

What did you think of the first stop?

I slightly disagreed with you

I think I would give them four stars

I thought it was good

The cream cheese.. the sesame bagel I had. Really blended together well

Yeah maybe it wasn't as hard and crunchy

As some of the bagels you're used to

But.. for me I thought it was really good

We are going to stop number 2

Which is in chelsea

In fact.. the first three places that we're going to

Are all going to be.. within walking distance

We are stop number 2 right now

Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee

And it's big a ironic because they actually don't have any locations

In Brooklyn

They've got one in Queens

One in Manhattan

This is pretty high

On a lot of lists

Let's go check it out

Humungous line here

Thank you

I have to say

This may be the most cream cheese

I have ever seen put

Into a single bagel in my life

This bagel's a bit bigger

Than Murray's

It costs 3.50

It was almost the same price

And I do want to note that

That we chose these places

Based on a mixture of Yelp Reviews

And a couple of food blogs

But if there's any places you think we missed

Definitley tell us in the comments

Alright.. plain bagel with cream cheese

Test number two

Softer..

Then Murray's

Cream cheese is better as well

A little saltier perhaps

This is what a good New York City Bagel should taste like..

I'm going with Four

I like this a lot

A little heavy on the cream cheese perhaps

But..I think we got this fresh

And..I would totally recommend this place

A great bagel

What did you think?

I would say even though we are twins

I am going to be..

Slightly disagreeing with him

I think it was a good bagel

But..

The salty cream cheese

Kind.. of made each bite a little.. I don't know

Over done for me

And yeah it was a softer bagel

But I actually think I preferred the crunchiness of the Murray's one

Stop number 3

Is best bagel and coffee

Because clearly they think they have the best

Bagels and Coffee in New York

I guess this place was also

Really highly rated on a couple of websites

We're here in Midtown

About to try this spot out

63

Thank you

Let's go

I am really impressed with how this bagel looks

Look at this golden brown color

This might be the best looking of all the bagels we've eaten so far

It cost about 3.60

Which is about average

For the prices we paid for the first 3

Here we go

This reminds me a lot of the last place

The Brooklyn Bagel spot

That we were at

Very soft

I like the cream cheese better

In this one

I'm still just going to have to lean on a 4 for this

This is an excellent bagel

I have not been blown away by a bagel yet

This is soft

I really like how.. If you press it

For me that's a good bagel

It's just soft enough

When you do that

You see the cream cheese move

Excellent

Not perfect

But i'm giving this a 4

Alright.. I actually am finally going to agree with Jon

This is a really good bagel

He mentioned it.. the texture.. the color is perfect

I really like the bottom is toasted

And the top is soft

It's a nice blend

They don't go to crazy with the cream cheese

And the cream cheese inside tastes really good

It's not to salty

I think as of now

This is the bagel to beat

The Bar has been set

Literally and figuratively

At stop number 3

Best bagel and coffee..

We're taking the subway to the East Village

For number 4

We made it to 2nd ave station

We're about to walk up through the east village

To get to Tompkins Square Bagels

Which is really well known

In New York City

The East Village is definitley one of my favorite neighborhoods in the entire city

It's a really cool spot

Especially for younger people

If you want to have a lot of cheaper restaurants

And places to go out

We're almost by Tompkins Square Park

We've made it and this probably the most hipster bagel spot

Of all the places we're going to try out

They have a lot of weird variations

Including.. a rainbow bagel

We're going to stick with the basics

Plain bagel

Cream cheese

Not toasted

Honestly guys

They're all starting

To look the same to me

It's got the crispy brown

On the outside

It's got an average amount of cream cheese

Fairly warm

Never been here before

No expectations

Here we go

This reminds me of Murray's a lot

It's crunchy

Not as soft as I like though

As far as the texture

The cream cheese isn't bad

I would say this is very solid

But..

Nothing special

I'm going to go with a 3 here

So far best bagel and coffee is the spot to beat

From Midtown

We are going to leave Manhattan

And go to Brooklyn

For our final stop

In Park Slope

And I think this is going to be

A real contender

We're going in Park Slope right now

Which is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of New York City

There's a lot of brownstones here

We're pretty close to..

Prospect Park

And.. Brooklyn's pretty well known for their pizza

And for their bagels

Of course.. we had to include

At least one bagel spot in Brooklyn

I can't believe it guys

After 4 hours.. we made it to the final stop

Bagel Hole

Because it's kind of a hole in the wall

It's a tiny place

But..it has won a lot of awards

I don't know..

Maybe we've saved the best for last?

Can I get a plain bagel with cream cheese?

This is.. By far the cheapest bagel we've had today

Just two dollars and fifteen cents

Plain bagel cream cheese

We have not changed the recipe at all

It is a little bit smaller than some of the other ones

And i'm also curious

It's kind of later in the day

How fresh this is

But here we go

This is the last chance

To beat.. Best Bagel and Coffee

Bagel Hole taste test

That's really good

I think I need another bite though

This is it

This is the winner

I'm giving this 5

This is what I've been looking for

And it's interesting

Because the interior of that place.. reminded me of my favorite bagel spot

In New Jersey

Tiny..little hole in the wall

Crunchy..

Cream cheese is good

The perfect texture

And even though it's later in the day

It's still very fresh

Of all the places I've went to

This is the bagel I've been looking for

Bagel Hole.. Is the bagel challenge winner

No question from me

I really liked it

I totally agree with you

I thought it was a very crispy bagel

Even later in the day

It was still really good

The cream cheese was really smooth

Hands down

That was the winner

Of the bagel challenge

Members of the Barrio

Hope you enjoyed the bagel challenge

Bagel Hole in Park Slope

Was the winner

I guess we saved

The best..for last

Tell me in the comments

6 Animal Noses That Outsniff Dogs - Duration: 9:53.

[INTRO ♪]

When we need a little help sniffing something out,

we usually turn to our furry best friends.

And there's good reason for that: dogs are relatively easy to train,

and their sense of smell is as much as 100,000 times more acute than ours.

And they're cuter.

We have machines, sure, but electronic odor detectors

tend to struggle when the chemical of interest is in low concentrations

in a complex mixture of molecules, like, I don't know, the air.

So we've taught dogs how to sniff out

everything from sewage leaks to artwork-destroying insects.

But they're not the only critters whose sense of smell can be put to good use.

There are other champion sniffers that we could use

to detect everything from disaster survivors to gourmet fungi.

Here are six of the animal kingdom's most useful noses.

Truffles—the edible fungi that grow underground, and not the chocolates—

are a gourmet food that can fetch extremely high prices.

Since they're very hard to cultivate, they're usually gathered from the wild.

But finding fungi growing up to a meter underground is pretty challenging.

Luckily, pigs are here to help us sniff them out, and they have for centuries.

Pigs have over a thousand olfactory receptor genes in their genomes—

that's more than dogs, or us, so they're able to detect a wider variety of smells.

And their olfactory bulb—

the part of their brains that processes the information from smelling—

make up about 7% of their brain.

Your bulb is a mere 0.01% of your brain.

But the real reason we use them to hunt truffles

is that they seem to have a weird natural affinity for them.

In the 1980s, researchers discovered that truffles contain large amounts of

a musky steroid that boars secrete in their saliva to put their sows... in the mood.

So, many think that's what attracts the pigs.

But a study in 1990 suggested another compound—

dimethyl sulfide—was the odor instead.

And there hasn't been much follow up, so the jury is still out.

Either way, pigs' natural instinct to root around in the dirt

in search of food probably enhances their truffle-finding skills.

Though, apparently, the pigs are notorious for snacking on the goods they find,

and it's no picnic trying to wrestle a $1000 fungus from a 200-kilogram hog.

Which is probably why nowadays,

they're losing their truffle hunting jobs to trained dogs.

I guess natural talent just doesn't trump canine ease of use.

Detecting sick animals could help predict and track

outbreaks of diseases like bird flu that can jump from other species to our own.

But classic methods for detection, like blood tests,

require a lot of time and money for sample collection and analysis.

And why do that, when there's a living disease detector right under our noses?

Enter: Mice.

Like dogs and pigs, rodents have far more functioning genes

for odor reception than we do, so they're able to

distinguish between scents that we can't even smell.

And, relative to the size of their brains,

their olfactory bulb is 200 times bigger than ours,

and 5 times bigger than dogs'.

That, and their ease of breeding and care,

makes them ideal for use as biosensors: living chemical detectors.

In a 2013 study, researchers found that mice could sniff the difference

between the poop from healthy mallard ducks

and poop from ones infected with avian influenza.

The six trained mice managed to pick out the right poop about 80% of the time,

though that was under lab conditions—

it remains to be seen if they fare as well in the field.

But that hasn't stopped New York scientists from trying to take

the whole mouse biosensor idea to the next level using genetic engineering.

In 2016, they showed their "MouSensor" mice,

which are engineered with additional olfactory receptor genes,

can be up to one hundred times better than regular lab mice

at detecting particular smells—and those were just the pilot versions.

With results like that, it might not be long

before dogs start losing ground to super sniffing genetically modified mice.

Landmines left behind after conflicts kill thousands of people every year,

but finding and removing them is a dangerous and difficult task.

It's much safer for the humans involved if something smaller and lighter

can go through and flag where all the bombs are first.

People have used dogs for this, but they're expensive to train,

and hard to transport around the world.

So, a Belgian nonprofit enlists local noses instead—

those of Gambian pouched rats.

These so-called rats—which are actually members of

a different rodent family—are huge rodents native to central Africa.

They can be 75 centimeters from nose to tail and weigh over a kilogram.

Their vision is terrible, but they make up for it with an amazing sense of smell,

which they use to communicate with each other over long distances.

And that means their noses have no trouble detecting

small amounts of explosives like TNT, even if said explosives

are buried 20 centimeters below ground in a land mine.

They're also light enough to walk across minefields safely, and they're fast—

a single rat can check 200 square meters in 20 minutes,

which would take a person days to do.

The nonprofit calls their trained rodents "HeroRATS"—and it's easy to see why.

Gambian pouched rats helped clear over 13,000 mines in Tanzania,

Mozambique, Angola, and Cambodia between 1997 and 2015.

But the rats do require a rigorous training protocol

that takes the first nine months of their eight-year lives.

At least they look super cute in their special little harnesses!

After a disaster like an earthquake,

finding victims trapped in debris can be a slow, challenging process.

Search and rescue dogs and their powerful sniffers are a big help.

But often, a smaller, more agile critter would be even better.

Something like … a search and rescue cat!

Okay, cats aren't actually being trained to do this yet,

but experts argued in a 2017 paper that maybe they should be.

That's because, although we don't know as much about their sense of smell

as other animals, what we do know suggests they've got great noses.

For example, they have 30 variants of the V1R odor receptor gene—

dogs only have nine, and we only have two.

That suggests that they may be even better than dogs

at discriminating between some scents.

The scientists behind the 2017 review argue that this means they could

take over some of the scent-related jobs that dogs are trained to do now.

And since cats are better climbers and can squeeze into smaller spaces,

they might be better suited to searching for trapped people than man's best friends.

The problem is training them, but the researchers believe it's possible,

with proper socialization and the right rewards to motivate them.

I mean, if we can train pigs and mice and giant rats, how hard could cats be?

Though, that saying about herding cats does exist for a reason.

So whether cats will live up to their heroic potential remains to be seen.

When you're sick, you actually smell a little weird.

No offense.

The illness and your immunological reaction to it

alter the concentrations of some molecules in your bodily fluids.

I mean, you might not smell the difference, but bees can.

Though they don't have noses in the way we think of them,

honey bees do have an amazing sense of smell.

That's what allows them to sniff their way to food even if it's miles away.

And scents play incredibly important roles in bee social lives.

Which is why, in their genomes, they have 163 functional

odorant receptor genes—the smelling genes unique to insects.

Fruit flies, for comparison, which also have to sniff out their meals,

have less than half that number.

These diverse odor receptors allow bees to smell the difference

between subtly different varieties of the same plant.

And it only takes a single encounter with an odor associated with a reward,

like nectar, for a bee to be able to identify the smell again.

That makes it really easy to teach bees to detect a variety of chemicals,

including disease-specific odors on our breath.

A designer in the UK even invented a glass apparatus

that allows for diagnosis by bee.

The bees have to be trained on the smell of the disease in question,

but if a person with that condition breathes into the device,

the trained bees swarm towards their breath.

If they're not sick with the target illness, the bees don't react.

It's just a prototype, but it did work at least once,

identifying a confirmed case of diabetes.

And sure, dogs can perform a similar trick, but the bees are a lot easier to train.

It only takes about 10 minutes of training to get 98% accuracy from the bees,

whereas dogs take weeks and are only right about 71% of the time.

So making honey, pollinating plants, and now diagnosing diabetes—

is there anything bees can't do?

But bees aren't the only insects with smelling superpowers.

Wasps can get in on the act, too.

A tiny parasitic wasp called Microplitis croceipes

lays its eggs in the bodies of living caterpillars.

And it behaves differently when it smells its host as opposed to its food,

which means scientists can train a single wasp to identify two different smells!

On the downside, the wasps only live a few weeks,

and they only remember the scents they've been trained on for a couple days.

But on the upside, they're cheap to raise,

and are reportedly even easier to train than bees.

And according to researchers that have worked with them,

they can detect "almost anything"—they've trained wasps on explosives,

food toxins, and even the pheromones of bed bugs.

In trials, the wasps were at least ten times as sensitive

to the test chemicals as the best electronic sensors.

The researchers even invented a device

for harnessing the wasps' super sniffing ability.

They call it the "Wasp Hound", because it's kind of like having

a trained bloodhound… except it's a container of wasps,

that wiggle instead of howl.

The wasps are held in a cartridge, which is exposed to air samples.

Based on their movements, the researchers can tell

whether the chemical they've been trained on is present in the sample or not.

Sniffer wasps could be used for jobs considered

too dangerous for us or our loyal companions to perform.

But the startup hoping to market the wasps' mad sniffing skillz

hasn't been too successful, so it's unclear if wasps

will replace the hounds they're named after anytime soon.

But even if some of these examples are still conceptual,

it's pretty wild that all sorts of animals—

from those with backbones and four legs, to those with stingers and six legs—

have these amazingly useful olfactory abilities.

Whether it's ridding the world of dangerous explosives left over after wars,

or finding gourmet fungus growing underground,

these six animals follow their noses to do some incredible things.

If there's a scent we need to track down

that our human schnozzes can't detect,

there's probably a critter out there that can help us sniff it out.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow.

While our noses aren't quite as keen as the animals we just talked about,

they're not as bad at sniffing as you might think.

If you want to learn more about that,

you can check out our episode about human smelling abilities.

Real-Life BFFs Who Are Enemies On The Big Screen - Duration: 4:31.

Making movies and TV shows is hard work, but there's also plenty of down time, especially

for the actors.

A lot of thespians form lasting friendships with each other during these off-camera moments,

and some of these friendships develop, amusingly, among actors who play mortal enemies.

Here are some real-life besties who are not-so-friendly when paired up on-screen.

X-Men mates

In the long-running X-Men cinematic universe, Professor X and Magneto are played with incredible

talent and nuance by esteemed British actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, respectively.

This inspired casting spawned a bromance for the ages.

While they met in the '70s, they didn't become friends until the filming of 2000's X-Men.

They bonded over similar life experiences—both initially turned to acting as an escape from

personal torment, and both were stars of the English stage before becoming sci-fi icons.

McKellen told 60 Minutes,

"We are the same actor, really.

We've had the same career.

So we're peers.

We're equals.

We're not rivals."

"If you could, each of you, write a hashtag that best sums up your bromance.

[...] Do you mind holding it up?

That is so sweet."

Dead men bonding

The Shakespearean rivalry on The Walking Dead between Rick and The Governor, two very Southern

alpha males, was ably carried out by two actors who in real life are veteran British actors:

Andrew Lincoln and David Morrissey.

According to Walking Dead mastermind Robert Kirkman, the two are, quote, "pretty good

friends" from way back who often screwed around on set together.

In fact, his friendship with Lincoln was part of the reason why Morrissey was so happy to

join the cast.

Morrissey told Uproxx,

"We went to the same drama school, but not at the same time.

So I knew him then and his great friend at drama school was the son of a really good

friend of mine, so I've known him since he started, really, and I've followed his career

very closely."

Riverdale rival roommates

Riverdale is a pretty wacky show, somehow successfully transplanting the characters

of the goofy and square Archie comics into a Twin Peaks-esque town full of murder, violence,

and inappropriate romantic relationships.

The Betty Cooper and Cheryl Blossom roles are both played with over-the-top relish by

actresses Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch, respectively.

On-screen, their characters don't much trust or care for one another.

But real life is nothing like that for Reinhardt and Petsch.

When Glamour asked Petsch about meeting her Riverdale cast mates for the first time, the

actress gushed over Reinhardt.

"I met her once before, but now she's my best friend.

I live with her."

Bella and Jane Forever

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning have appeared in four movies together, but their highest

profile pairing was in the Twilight movies.

Stewart, of course, played protagonist Bella Swan, while Fanning was Jane, a powerful villain

who could project horrific pain into people's brains.

Stewart and Fanning have clearly spent a lot of time together, and as a result, they absolutely

love and adore one another.

In 2016, Fanning introduced Stewart at Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards like this:

"I can honestly say that my friendship with Kristen is one of the most special bonds in

my life.

She has held my hair back and talked me through heartbreak.

She has always been there for me when I have needed her most and most of all she has taught

me the power of being 100 percent yourself 100 percent of the time."

When it was Stewart's turn to speak, she delivered the sweetness, too, telling Fanning,

"Dude, I love you so much."

High School chums

Several of the young, untested stars of the High School Musical trilogy went on to have

solid careers in movies and TV, including Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens.

In the movies, they played rivals, if not enemies: Tisdale portrayed Sharpay, East High's

literal and figurative drama queen, who had her stage time usurped by talented upstart

Gabriella, played by Hudgens.

In 2017, almost a decade since the release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Hudgens

told Women's Health that she's still very much still in touch with Tisdale.

"She's one of those girlfriends who will be my friend forever."

"My best friend, Vanessa Hudgens!"

"Ta-da!"

Brotherly love

Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth became fast friends while playing Loki and Thor in

the first Thor film.

Hemsworth told Collider,

"It's much easier to hate someone on screen, if you actually like them off screen."

Hiddleston added that his relationship with Hemsworth is, quote, "quite literally a bromance,"

adding that he,

"... can't imagine having to go to the emotional extremity that we both had to go to, if we

actually didn't like each other."

"It's probably for the best that we never see each other again."

"That's what you've always wanted."

Trey Gowdy Is Cleared To Go After Hillary Clinton And Loretta Lynch, You'll Cheer.

Hillary Clinton clearly broke the law.

Regardless of whether it was a result of her failure to deal with her email system appropriately,

it doesn't make a difference – she should've been charged.

In any case, James Comey, our previous FBI chief felt that it would be better given her

a chance to get away with it.

Additionally, Comey had started composing his letter where he exonerates Hillary Clinton

before he even had a meeting with her.

Via Fox News: THE FBI RELEASED DOCUMENTS MONDAY PROVING

FORMER FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY BEGAN DRAFTING A LETTER REGARDING HILLARY CLINTON'S EMAIL

INVESTIGATION MONTHS BEFORE CONDUCTING SEVERAL KEY INTERVIEWS, INCLUDING SPEAKING TO CLINTON

HERSELF.

THE DOCUMENT RELEASE WAS TITLED "DRAFTS OF DIRECTOR COMEYS JULY 5, 2016 STATEMENT

REGARDING EMAIL SERVER INVESTIGATION PART 01 OF 01."

THE CONTENTS OF THE EMAIL WERE LARGELY UNCLEAR AS NEARLY ALL OF IT WAS REDACTED.

THE NOW-PUBLIC RECORDS SHOW THE EMAIL TITLED "MIDYEAR EXAM — UNCLASSIFIED" WAS SENT

BY COMEY ON MAY 2, 2016, TO DEPUTY DIRECTOR ANDREW MCCABE, GENERAL COUNSEL JAMES BAKER

AND CHIEF OF STAFF AND SENIOR COUNSELOR JAMES RYBICKI.

Brilliant.

Furthermore, AG Loretta Lynch trusted that it would be an amazing decision to meet with

Hillary Clinton's husband on an airport tarmac while the examination was still crisp

and new.

Clearly, they discussed their grandkids.

The examination that jeopardized Hillary Clinton's political profession didn't ring a bell,

by any stretch of the imagination.

That is to say, clearly.

Be that as it may, Trey Gowdy is here and he dispatches an examination to find the answers

we all need.

SECRETARY CLINTON TO THE FBI RATHER THAN THE DOJ;

"FBI'S TIMELINE IN RESPECT TO CHARGING DECISIONS."

Plainly, Gowdy is going pretty however after Comey.

REP.

TREY GOWDY PLANS TO GRILL FORMER FBI DIRECTOR JAMES COMEY ABOUT HIS DECISION-MAKING AS PART

OF THE HOUSE OVERSIGHT AND GOVERNMENT REFORM COMMITTEE'S DECISION TO RE-EXAMINE THE INVESTIGATION

INTO HILLARY CLINTON'S PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER.

"HAVE TO, WON'T WE?"

THE SOUTH CAROLINA REPUBLICAN TOLD THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER WHEN ASKED ABOUT INTERVIEWING COMEY.

GOWDY CHAIRS THE HOUSE OVERSIGHT AND GOVERNMENT REFORM COMMITTEE, WHICH HAS OPENED A JOINT

INVESTIGATION WITH THE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE IN ORDER TO REVIEW THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT'S

HANDLING OF THE POLITICALLY CHARGED INVESTIGATION.

GOWDY IS PARTICULARLY CONCERNED THAT "THE DECISION TO CHARGE OR NOT CHARGE [CLINTON]

WAS MADE BEFORE ALL THE WITNESSES WERE INTERVIEWED," BUT HE EMPHASIZED THAT THE INVESTIGATION TOPICS

ARE STRUCTURED IN A NONPARTISAN WAY.

We don't surmise that there could be anybody more reasonable than Gowdy for this.

THE EMBATTLED CHAIRMAN OF THE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE ANNOUNCED ON TUESDAY THAT HE HAD

OPENED AN INVESTIGATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE INTO A DEAL

STRUCK BETWEEN THE US AND A PREDOMINANTLY RUSSIA-OWNED URANIUM COMPANY BASED IN CANADA

WHILE HILLARY CLINTON WAS SECRETARY OF STATE.

DEVIN NUNES' ANNOUNCEMENT CAME ONE WEEK AFTER THE HILL PUBLISHED A REPORT ON A "RACKETEERING

THE TIME SECRETARY OF STATE HILLARY CLINTON SERVED ON A GOVERNMENT BODY THAT PROVIDED

Trump Gets Best News Ever From Supreme Court.

Americans are Rejoicing With Him

Nothing is standing in his way now.

Democrats and liberals had hoped to use a series of law suits and environmental petitions

to indefinitely block President Trump's proposed border wall.

But a federal court this week effectively disarmed the liberal campaign, and cleared

the way for Trump to get that wall built.

From The Washington Post:

A federal court cleared the way Tuesday for President Trump to build his border wall,

ruling that the administration has the power to waive a series of environmental laws to

speed up construction.

The state of California and environmental groups had been counting on the lawsuit to

derail the border wall and called the decision disappointing.

…the judge's ruling does overcome a major legal hurdle that opponents had raised, citing

the Trump administration's intent to waive some three dozen laws to build fencing.

Among them are some of the country's most iconic statutes: the Endangered Species Act,

the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, the Antiquities

Act, the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act, and the Eagle Protection

Act.

Liverpool get HUGE transfer boost as Real Madrid & Barcelona cool interest in Mo Salah ● News ● #LFC - Duration: 2:22.

SPANISH giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have cooled their interest on red-hot Mo Salah.

Salah, 25, was widely tipped to be going to La Liga with a £200 million price tag on

his head after being signed from Roma nine months ago for a bargain £35 million.

But Barca only have eyes for Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann, 27, and they won't have

any money left in the Nou Camp cash-pot to compete for Salah.

Barcelona are reported to be Griezmann's chosen destination and it looks increasingly

like they have agreed a deal to sign him at the end of the season after agreeing to pay

his £86 million buy-out clause.

Express Sport also understands from Spanish sources that it's a "No" too from Real

Madrid where talk of a move for Salah has fallen silent.

That can only be great news for Liverpool and boss Jurgen Klopp who could make the club

richer beyond its wildest dreams with a Salah sale which would have seriously crippled his

attacking intentions.

Now, Liverpool and on-fire Salah can press on with their determination to knock Manchester

City out of the Champions League with the quarter-final first leg at Anfield on Wednesday.

Kop legend Dirk Kuyt has experienced those emotional, pulsating European nights on Merseyside

and predicts Pep Guardiola's side won't know what's hit them.

Kuyt said: "Those nights at Anfield were the best of my career.

The ground is electric and it's definitely an advantage to Liverpool.

All opponents know that.

"City know it won't be easy to come to Anfield and win the game.

I watched the league game against City at Anfield and it was maybe Liverpool's best

performance of the season.

"I think they've stepped up their game over the last couple of months.

Can they win the Champions League?

It's football so they have a chance – and so do City."

This Dog's Family Moved And Left Him On The Curb. Weeks Later, He Was Still Waiting For Their Return - Duration: 6:14.

this dogs family moved and left him on the curb weeks later he was still waiting for their return

people are forced to give up dogs for a number of reasons

whether they can't afford the care or are struggling with other demands there are plenty of

legitimate reasons why people have to hand over their canines however what's less easy to understand is why someone would dump their

four-legged friend like trash

sadly though that's exactly what happened to one unfortunate pooch in detroit michigan a

family had moved out and left a pile of unwanted trash on the sidewalk

among the contents were a set of drawers a lampshade and a blue formal mattress

however it wasn't just a few possessions that the family had left behind

they also dumped their dog boo and not realizing he'd been abandoned the loyal canine waited patiently

outside for his owners to return it's believed that the poor animal was there a whole month

One neighbor even claimed that the owners had even returned to the house they picked up some more items but once again left boob behind

however the pitbull didn't give up hope and continued to wait patiently outside

next he was spotted by another neighbor who couldn't ignore his plight

taking, to facebook michigan native liz murray posted a heartbreaking image of boo on the discarded mattress

this picture absolutely breaks my heart i'm literally in tears she wrote meat food this beautiful boy was left behind with the trash and

belongings when his family moved out

he stayed right by their stuff and never left it confused and lonely added murray

Her post soon spread around the local area it's since been shared over 2,500 times and liked over

13,000 times as a result one of the people that take notice was mike diesel from detroit youth and dog rescue

Diesel rushed to the scene later in an october 2016 interview with the dodo he explained how he found boo

just

laying there being as loyal south he added the pillows were still on the mattress

Being, the loyal dog he was supposed to be he waited for his master to come back and?

According to diesel's colleague and founder of

detroit youth and dog rescue devin oliver a neighbor had already rung a number of nearby animal charities

However it seemed that no one would take boo in that's when the two men knew it was up to them to help the dog

detroit youth and dog rescue was founded by oliver in

2014 and although it doesn't have an actual shelter it still managed to rescue dozens of animals

The team do their good work by arranging foster homes for pets while they work on finding a more permanent home as

Diesel knew he had to do something about boo but

with boos heart set on his owners return he'd have to first win the doggies trust

that first day then diesel spent 11 hours with the abandoned pet hanging out and letting him know he was there

The animal lover also deployed a few overt tactics to win boo over

knowing the way that any dog's heart is through its stomach diesel tried to seduce boo with fast food

He brought fried chicken and hamburgers and even treated the canine to a sausage mcmuffin

After a few days though diesel's mission was complete when he was finally able to tear boo away from his former home

firstly diesel simply got the docile doggie wearing a collar once i got that on him i walked him around for half an hour just

being right there next to him gaining that trust after

that we sat on the ground on a blanket for an hour he explained to the dodo

We kind of talk to each other to make sure we understood each other's feelings diezel added he knew i wasn't going to hurt him

Before long though diesel's perseverance paid off boo allowed diesel to lift, him into the car and with that they both rushed, to the vets?

But once at groesbeck animal hospital boo received some bad news he was diagnosed with heartworm a parasite spread by mosquito bites

diesel's now putting boo through treatment because of the infection

Soon however he'll be fighting fit and ready to find a new home

what's more diesel later spoke of

How he formed such an amazing bond with boo he said as far as building up trust that started sunday the 16th at 2:30 p.m.

When i arrived and stayed that night until 1:00 a.m.

talking and getting acquainted with boo and feeding him different food items

whose warmed up to me in an amazing way already and truly shows and proves the love of the pit bull and trust that they

have in humans

According to his rescuers boo has a warm personality he's kind gentle and desperate for love and

Although he's getting plenty of that from diesel at the moment he now needs a permanent home to call his own

luckily however the dog has received lots of attention on the detroit youth and dog rescue facebook page

the organization has posted numerous updates on whose rescue and

Subsequent treatment for heartworm and as a result it seems that the pooch has become a firm favorite, among the pages followers

indeed his tragic tale has touched hearts around the world one commenter from melbourne australia said reading boos story breaks my heart

We've recently adopted a rescue dog and we're so grateful for people like you that do such a selfless job

ensuring these beautiful souls are given a new home filled with love

someone shared a post about boo and i sought you out to come donate for this precious baby another user wrote

He deserves so much better

thank you for finding and helping him please keep us updated about little boo and

Although there's been plenty of calls for updates there's no news as

To whether boos been adopted yet however with all the hype around the story combined with his adorable face

there's no doubt he'll be settling into a new home very soon

SAWMILL TECH TIPS - Tensioning Your Blade - Duration: 1:44.

- Hey guys, Trev here from Norwood Sawmills.

I want to talk to ya today about something

that's crucial when you're milling,

and that's proper blade tension.

We've put together a patented design on ours

that we feel is super user friendly,

so what I want to do is go through the process

with you so that basically everybody is on the same page

as to how this function works,

and how you can make it work for you.

When you're working with our machines

what you want to do is, you want to turn the T-handle.

It's a maximum from the point that the T-handle

engages the spring of five full turns.

That's full tension.

Anything after that all you're going to do is bend

items in your sawmill, okay.

So, what you want to do is cut maybe somewhere

between four and five,

and find that proper spot for you to work within.

Now when you're cutting and when you're tensioning,

tracking is going to be part of that tension,

so you're going to have to keep an eye on whatever

you decide to run at as tension to get the proper cut.

You're going to need to make sure that you're tracked

properly for that tension.

Your tension will effect your tracking,

which is where your blade is going to lay

in conjunction to your band wheel,

and what you want is, you want the gullet of the tooth

to sit flush with the front of the band wheel.

I cut at four and a half full turns.

Five is max.

And you want to make sure that when you're set

up for tension, you're tracked,

so that you're blade is sitting flush

with the gullet on the front of the band wheel.

SAWMILL TECH TIPS - Auto-Locking Sawhead - Duration: 1:11.

- Hey guys, it's Trev here with another Norwood Tech Tip.

One of our individual features that are patented

to just our design is the auto-locking sawhead.

What it does is it lets you position the handle

wherever you want to make your cut and cut.

There's no secondary reaching around the machine

trying to lock it in another place so that you can

keep it stable when you're making your cut.

You simply line it on the scale

and then go ahead and make your cut

and then lift it up and bring it back and then

repeat the same thing over again.

A lot other machines have different ways to keep the sawhead

stable when you're cutting.

So rather than having one key position

that you can work from

you're constantly having to move around the machine

and tighten something up and loosen something.

And when you're milling, it's important to try and keep

all of these other distractions away.

So, one less thing to think about is a real benefit.

Dog Is Chained Outside For 15 Years Until A Freak Accident Changes His Entire Life - Duration: 6:28.

some dogs are built to stand up to the cold Siberian Huskies are definitely one

of these breeds and if you ever doubt that just check out their super thick

coats is proof still just because a dog is bred for cool weather doesn't mean

it's safe for them to be left out in freezing conditions for very long

tragically for one siberian husky named cloud being exposed to frigid climes was

a way of life the poor pooch was forced to live chained outside of a dilapidated

house it wasn't until a random accident that fate intervened in the next chapter

of this Huskies life held twists and turns that no one saw coming

rescue workers raised to the scene of a potential disaster when they heard that

her house in New Philadelphia Pennsylvania had collapsed when they

arrived however the last thing they expected to see was a husky tied to a

weighted chain Pennsylvania actually has strict animal welfare laws for instance

it's legal to keep a dog chained up outside for more than nine hours a day

in the winter months that number drops and in freezing weather a dog can only

be chained up outside for 30 minutes this poor dog whose name was cloud

wasn't just being chained up illegally he was forced to stand in his own waste

to make matters worse a battered truck roof was all that he had for shelter

these conditions were deplorable when rescue workers from the hillside SPCA

arrived on the scene they quickly concluded that cloud had probably been

chained up for most of his life thankfully after learning they were

breaking the law clouds owners relinquished him to the SPCA a team when

we met cloud we were in shock at his condition said hillside SPCA his

assistant manager Trisha Moyer he was a broken sad shell

of a dog his fur was thickly matted he had a large mass on his hind end and he

was very thin the SPCA veterinarian performed an examination and they

learned that the mass on clouds rear was actually a tumor sadly given his age it

wasn't safe to operate make matters worse they also determined

that the poorer dog was deaf unfortunately cloud had a difficult time

thriving in the shelter environment every hour he was awake he would pace

until he collapsed and then he'd wake back up and start to cycle of pacing all

over again the shelter decided it was time to reach out for help they

contacted Eleanor Garrard with senior dog Haven and hospice to see if she

could foster cloud this dog wasn't acting like a dog at all he's just a

mess said to Eleanor he's walking into things I don't think he'd ever been

inside anywhere in his life so he was just so out of sorts her heart went out

to the dog and she was happy to foster him but that love wasn't enough to

instantly heal cloud he wouldn't stop pacing he wouldn't stop moving said to

Eleanor I had him in my house and he was knocking things over he was running into

things and I thought oh no this is going to be difficult cloud was weary of

people too and he did everything in his power to avoid Eleanor and her three

children he wouldn't interact with us and if you tried to go over to him

he'd just hide in the corner she said he found a spot in my laundry room next to

my dryer there were things next to it and he knocked it all over it was almost

like he was trying to get behind the dryer to hide he stayed like that for

over 24 hours she said Eleanor decided not to try and

force him out instead she gave him time until she had a breakthrough I was in my

laundry room getting something and all of a sudden I felt this little swipe of

a paw in my foot said to Eleanor I looked down and he was swiping at me to

try and sit down and pet him so I sat down and I started petting him and he

started giving me kisses and any time I stopped he would swipe

his paw at me again it was like he seemed to realize the we were friendly

and we were safe Eleanor said every day from that point he just got better and

better and better was cloud finally turning a corner of course there were

still bumps in the road we always had to go outside to get him to come back in he

would never just come back to the door said to Eleanor

at one point he realized hey I want to be inside and every time he'd go out

he'd go to the bathroom and he'd come right back to the door and sit right at

the door and wait to come in Eleanor didn't take sole credit for clouds

amazing recovery either she thought her six other dogs played a major role it

was almost like my dogs taught him how to be a dog and had to act she said as

much as she loved him Eleanor never planned on keeping cloud and seven

pitches would have been too much so she was understandably delighted when she

learned about a couple who wanted to meet him they arranged an initial

meeting and it was love at first pets for all parties involved

the husband leaned down to pet him and cloud got up and gave him a big kiss in

the face and the husband was like all right we can do this we've got to take

him we're definitely taking him cloud moved and with his new family a week

later and in spite of concerns about his adjusting he took to the place like a

fish to water it was almost like he could tell how

much his adoptive family loved him they've created a bucket list for him so

they're working on all sorts of things that he never got to do his entire life

Eleanor said he's been going on walks I don't think he's ever been walked before

and he loves it they got him a big orthopedic bed someone contacted them

about doing a photo shoot somebody else contacted them and said they could offer

a doggy massage she added while clouds former life was one of struggle he was

finally given safety security in love so many dogs never got a chance and cloud

was certainly one very lucky boy now he was able to enjoy his new forever home

more than anyone thought possible clouds life was so rough before thank

goodness that he finally got to help he deserved even though it arrived a little

late in the game that doesn't make it any less precious I hope you liked this

Earthbound Let's Play Ep. 1: Trouble? I'm Onnet! - Duration: 4:10.

Hello, and welcome to my Earthbound let's play.

Now, because this is the first recording that I've done in about eighteen quintillion years,

Now, because this is the first recording that I've done in about eighteen quintillion years,

I'm gonna start things off slow with a 5-minute episode.

The hardest part of any game is choosing your name.

It's correct, 'cause it rhymes.

Also, truth be told, I've gone through several iterations of this, so...

Also, truth be told, I've gone through several iterations of this, so...

We're keeping it as usual, "Capn".

Because i'm uncreative and there's a six digit character limit.

Also, no numbers.

"Is this name correct?" It's a bit jiggly for my liking,

But yea, i'd say that's about correct.

Fade to white, and...

The war on Giygas begins.

We're just gonna walk over here,

And oh look, it's Porky, our next-door neighbor.

I hate him.

You should too.

For some reason, in the English version, his name is... uh

Was it pokey?

I'm not good at researching, so...

Since, y'know, my first language is English.

*deafening silence*

[This is the point where I remember I need to speak]

This is the battle system, I guess.

Tah-Dah.

He betrayed us.

Like any good villain.

Now because I'm very lazy and I wanna speed through it, we sit in the bottom left corner.

Because, for some reason,

It's the quickest way to get out of this.

Would you look at that, we're not dead.

What a suprise, and also, what a betrayal.

This is a telephone. You use it to call your dad when you want to save.

He records all of your memories, for some reason,

He writes them down, and you get saved.

He writes them down, and you get saved.

Presumably, from yourself.

Yes, the ruins are full of puzzles, and also very incorrect walkways.

You could have done better.

Seriously, why would you move one "block" to the left,

Only to just go back forwards.

It confuses me.

This is a billboard, read it with "Z".

An interesting thing about this game is the battle system,

In the "overworld",

Okay, you can stop talking now.

If you go behind the enemy, you can gat a "back attack".

Or an "Opening attack", as it's called.

I've hit the 5-minute mark limit, and I'm probably going to have to go.

Since, y'know, the confidence is not strong with this one.

Anyways, we'll leave it off here.

See ya [Maybe] next time.

[I see you shudder with antici...

Living Cheap in NYC- Best Bagel Challenge ! - Duration: 10:08.

What is going on Members of the Barrio?

It's Jon coming to you from New York City

And today.. we're going to be doing the Bagel Challenge

That's right we're going to be going exploring

One of New York's cheapest food items

We're going to be going to five different places

And we are going to be trying

One bagel with cream cheese

From each of these spots

And declaring.. one place

The Bagel champion

I have dreamed of making a video like this

For a really long time

Let's get started

Stop number one

Murray's Bagels in Greenwich Village

I love your videos man.

Oh you've seen my stuff?

What's your name?

And one plain with cream cheese please

One plain with plain cream cheese?

Yeah

First taste test

We're going to rate this on a 1 to a 5

Just like I did the Pizza Challenge

My first bite of Murray's

I like the cream cheese

I don't know if I got the freshest bagel per say

I'm going to take one more bite

Maybe not as cruncy as I would normally like for a bagel

I'm going to give it

Three out of Five

Very solid

But..I think we can possibly do better

On the rest of the tour

I would recommend you come here

But.. I grew up in North Jersey

I had a spot where I lived in Fair Lawn

Where I think the bagels were better than this

This is very solid

What did you think of the first stop?

I slightly disagreed with you

I think I would give them four stars

I thought it was good

The cream cheese.. the sesame bagel I had. Really blended together well

Yeah maybe it wasn't as hard and crunchy

As some of the bagels you're used to

But.. for me I thought it was really good

We are going to stop number 2

Which is in chelsea

In fact.. the first three places that we're going to

Are all going to be.. within walking distance

We are stop number 2 right now

Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee

And it's big a ironic because they actually don't have any locations

In Brooklyn

They've got one in Queens

One in Manhattan

This is pretty high

On a lot of lists

Let's go check it out

Humungous line here

Thank you

I have to say

This may be the most cream cheese

I have ever seen put

Into a single bagel in my life

This bagel's a bit bigger

Than Murray's

It costs 3.50

It was almost the same price

And I do want to note that

That we chose these places

Based on a mixture of Yelp Reviews

And a couple of food blogs

But if there's any places you think we missed

Definitley tell us in the comments

Alright.. plain bagel with cream cheese

Test number two

Softer..

Then Murray's

Cream cheese is better as well

A little saltier perhaps

This is what a good New York City Bagel should taste like..

I'm going with Four

I like this a lot

A little heavy on the cream cheese perhaps

But..I think we got this fresh

And..I would totally recommend this place

A great bagel

What did you think?

I would say even though we are twins

I am going to be..

Slightly disagreeing with him

I think it was a good bagel

But..

The salty cream cheese

Kind.. of made each bite a little.. I don't know

Over done for me

And yeah it was a softer bagel

But I actually think I preferred the crunchiness of the Murray's one

Stop number 3

Is best bagel and coffee

Because clearly they think they have the best

Bagels and Coffee in New York

I guess this place was also

Really highly rated on a couple of websites

We're here in Midtown

About to try this spot out

63

Thank you

Let's go

I am really impressed with how this bagel looks

Look at this golden brown color

This might be the best looking of all the bagels we've eaten so far

It cost about 3.60

Which is about average

For the prices we paid for the first 3

Here we go

This reminds me a lot of the last place

The Brooklyn Bagel spot

That we were at

Very soft

I like the cream cheese better

In this one

I'm still just going to have to lean on a 4 for this

This is an excellent bagel

I have not been blown away by a bagel yet

This is soft

I really like how.. If you press it

For me that's a good bagel

It's just soft enough

When you do that

You see the cream cheese move

Excellent

Not perfect

But i'm giving this a 4

Alright.. I actually am finally going to agree with Jon

This is a really good bagel

He mentioned it.. the texture.. the color is perfect

I really like the bottom is toasted

And the top is soft

It's a nice blend

They don't go to crazy with the cream cheese

And the cream cheese inside tastes really good

It's not to salty

I think as of now

This is the bagel to beat

The Bar has been set

Literally and figuratively

At stop number 3

Best bagel and coffee..

We're taking the subway to the East Village

For number 4

We made it to 2nd ave station

We're about to walk up through the east village

To get to Tompkins Square Bagels

Which is really well known

In New York City

The East Village is definitley one of my favorite neighborhoods in the entire city

It's a really cool spot

Especially for younger people

If you want to have a lot of cheaper restaurants

And places to go out

We're almost by Tompkins Square Park

We've made it and this probably the most hipster bagel spot

Of all the places we're going to try out

They have a lot of weird variations

Including.. a rainbow bagel

We're going to stick with the basics

Plain bagel

Cream cheese

Not toasted

Honestly guys

They're all starting

To look the same to me

It's got the crispy brown

On the outside

It's got an average amount of cream cheese

Fairly warm

Never been here before

No expectations

Here we go

This reminds me of Murray's a lot

It's crunchy

Not as soft as I like though

As far as the texture

The cream cheese isn't bad

I would say this is very solid

But..

Nothing special

I'm going to go with a 3 here

So far best bagel and coffee is the spot to beat

From Midtown

We are going to leave Manhattan

And go to Brooklyn

For our final stop

In Park Slope

And I think this is going to be

A real contender

We're going in Park Slope right now

Which is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in all of New York City

There's a lot of brownstones here

We're pretty close to..

Prospect Park

And.. Brooklyn's pretty well known for their pizza

And for their bagels

Of course.. we had to include

At least one bagel spot in Brooklyn

I can't believe it guys

After 4 hours.. we made it to the final stop

Bagel Hole

Because it's kind of a hole in the wall

It's a tiny place

But..it has won a lot of awards

I don't know..

Maybe we've saved the best for last?

Can I get a plain bagel with cream cheese?

This is.. By far the cheapest bagel we've had today

Just two dollars and fifteen cents

Plain bagel cream cheese

We have not changed the recipe at all

It is a little bit smaller than some of the other ones

And i'm also curious

It's kind of later in the day

How fresh this is

But here we go

This is the last chance

To beat.. Best Bagel and Coffee

Bagel Hole taste test

That's really good

I think I need another bite though

This is it

This is the winner

I'm giving this 5

This is what I've been looking for

And it's interesting

Because the interior of that place.. reminded me of my favorite bagel spot

In New Jersey

Tiny..little hole in the wall

Crunchy..

Cream cheese is good

The perfect texture

And even though it's later in the day

It's still very fresh

Of all the places I've went to

This is the bagel I've been looking for

Bagel Hole.. Is the bagel challenge winner

No question from me

I really liked it

I totally agree with you

I thought it was a very crispy bagel

Even later in the day

It was still really good

The cream cheese was really smooth

Hands down

That was the winner

Of the bagel challenge

Members of the Barrio

Hope you enjoyed the bagel challenge

Bagel Hole in Park Slope

Was the winner

I guess we saved

The best..for last

Tell me in the comments

Businessman turned IMSA racer marrying his 2 passions in IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup USA - Duration: 4:45.

At the start of his sports car driving career, Mark Kvamme jumped right into the deep end.

"The first time I ever did it was the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2014," Kvamme said.

"It was pretty crazy going around in the Porsche and seeing (Christian) Fittipaldi go by and

(Graham) Rahal go by.

I'm going, 'These guys are crazy.'

Well, it took me through the Roar (Before the Rolex 24 test) a couple of days, I got

my feet underneath me and the rest has been history."

Kvamme was a total racing neophyte when he arrived at Daytona in 2014.

He just hadn't raced sports cars.

Nor had he really raced on paved racetracks.

"As a kid, I did motorcycle racing," he said.

"Then, I fell into computers, so I didn't race for, like, 20 years and then I got into

off-road dirt truck racing.

I did that for a little bit, and then a buddy of mine knew the France family.

He said, 'Hey, Mark, you should go do sports car racing.'

Unbeknownst to them, I had never been in a sports car; I'd never been on a racetrack."

Since then, Kvamme has been on plenty of racetracks.

He's amassed 20 starts in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in different classes

-- Prototype, Prototype Challenge and GT Daytona -- with a career-best result of second in

the PC class last year at Road America.

In January, Kvamme made his fifth consecutive start in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, sharing

the No. 96 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 GT3 with Jens Klingmann, Martin Tomczyk, Don Yount

and Cameron Lawrence.

And since the beginning of 2017, Kvamme has been a full-time competitor in the Porsche

GT3 Cup Challenge USA.

Last year, he finished second in the Platinum Cup Masters point standings, with Platinum

Masters victories at Barber Motorsports Park and Virginia International Raceway, which

was a makeup race for an abandoned round earlier in the season at Watkins Glen.

This year, he's off to a fast start, leading the Platinum Masters standings after the first

event weekend earlier this month at Sebring with a pair of podium results in the No. 43

JDX Racing Porsche 911 Cup entry that carries sponsorship from P1 Insurance, one of Kvamme's

business ventures and a key piece to his GT3 Cup program.

"What I found with GT3 -- which is really nice, as you can see we have the Hertz sponsorship

-- the ability to do B2B marketing is really, really good," Kvamme said.

"Hertz is a sponsor with the team, they work with Porsche, Porsche helps Hertz, and then

combined with that, we're doing the car insurance, P1 Insurance.

"It all comes together in a very, very nice way to where you get real value for racing.

I love to race, I have a ton of fun, but now the sponsors get real value."

And that's really where the rubber meets the road for Kvamme.

He's able to combine his passion for business and motorsports and apply what he's learned

in both disciplines.

"I'm in the venture capital business, so I invest in 'risky young startups,'" Kvamme

said.

"A lot of people think racing is risky as well.

The difference is my startups take five to seven to eight years to actually become a

real company, whereas racing, I can get it all done in a weekend.

"It's kind of like, you've got the startup of the weekend.

'Oh, how's the track?

How's the car setup?'

You actually go through the whole weekend trying to figure that out, and then you have

the race.

It's very similar to a startup, so I marry the both of them and it's a lot of fun."

Kvamme's next chance to have fun comes next month at Barber Motorsports Park for the next

two rounds of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama season on April 21-22.

The races will run as part of the IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama weekend.
