My name is Marta, I'm a mechanical engineer and I'm doing a test for superconducting magnets in the LHC and for HL-LHC

We receive all types of magnets which are based on superconductivity

Magnets which are needed for the LHC. LHC is installed, and is working

But at times we have few magnets that have to be changed

We test, we qualify and we send them to the LHC. But this is the work that today I would call a bit standard

Then we have other types of magnets, which are in the R&D phase or the prototyping phase of the HL-LHC

so this is a mature technology today, but still completely new

The two characteristics which were missing in the test-stand and then were needed for the HL-LHC are

the dimension and the current capability

Therefore, we designed a new test-stand using the main components: a cryostat and a power converter

which allows us today to test those models

Every time a magnet is coming (R&D magnet), we don't yet know what are we expecting from it

So it's very interesting, because it's full of instrumentation in which we are participating from the early stage

and finally you have to understand what you are extracting from the magnets and what the signals are saying

because this is the way to give feedback to those who are building the magnets to say

whether the technology or this trial or this parameter is good. This is the most exciting work

This is a new object, a new technology, these are very different magnets

so we have always new issues and problems to solve, it's very exciting.

Once we get the parameters and we agree that it is working well, the next step is to do magnets with those characteristics

but longer; and to finish so that when they are coming back

they are not anymore so much for the testing but for the qualification and we hope that it is the final stage

before they are installed in the tunnel

Why Remake Final Fantasy VII - Duration: 10:22.

I remember exactly where I was when I first encountered Final Fantasy VII.

Back in Junior High, my good friend Mike showed me this awesome game he had just started playing.

I would come over to his house every few days to play the game with him as he would catch

me up on all the cutscenes I had missed.

The PC version had like 99 save files, so everytime something cool happened he would

start a new save so that we could experience it later.

After he beat the game, he let me borrow it for a while.

I was captivated.

When I couldn't play the game because one of my stupid brothers wanted to play their

own stupid game for a while, I would pour through the instruction manual.

Staring at the artwork of the main characters.

They all looked so cool, I could almost imagine them running right through my own living room,

fighting bad guys and saving the world.

Those few weeks gave me a feeling that I didn't want to ever forget.

Though, in the coming weeks, months, years, somehow…

I forgot.

In 2004, my older brother decided to shell out for a PS1 and, to my great pleasure, Final

Fantasy VII.

Rediscovering the world of Gaia was nothing short of magical.

The writing, the music, the battle system were just as I had remembered them.

However, the look of the game… was not.

the cutscenes, Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, everything looked a bit… off.

Sure, the next generation of consoles was out, and I was playing games like Halo, Wind

Waker, and The Prince of Persia.

But the older games didn't look that bad, right?

I was right, they were still charming and expressive.

Perfect little relics of their time.

But still, something felt a little off, and I couldn't shake that feeling for my entire

playthrough.

It was the same game, but it felt different this time.

Only a few months later, Sony released a PS3 technical demo featuring Final Fantasy VII

as a modern, fully 3D game.

The prospect of Final Fantasy VII being remade with modern graphics made me so excited I

couldn't even think straight.

That's what was missing, I thought.

The feeling came back, as I could faintly see Cloud and his friends, running through

my living room, battling and saving the world before my very eyes once again.

Years went by; and, no remake.

They weren't uneventful years, though.

Advent Children was a blast, that one anime came out, Dirge of Cerberus was… well, we

had Crisis Core!

And Cloud is in Smash Brothers, how could you not like that?

The truth is, with all the Final Fantasy VII related media that came out afterwards, beautiful

as it may have looked, there was still something missing.

It just didn't feel as much like the world I had explored in the original game.

Had I simply… outgrown Final Fantasy VII?

We've all had experiences where we've looked back on something we used to love,

something we identified heavily with, something that got us through some hard times, and realized

that maybe it just wasn't quite as good as we thought it was.

It gets harder and harder to turn back the clock and experience something as it was the

first time we heard or watched or played it.

Some things last through the ages.

Other things were meant to be experienced only in the time period in which they were

created.

Back then, Final Fantasy VII inspired within me feelings of courage, hope and discovery;

it fostered dreams and ambitions.

Yet when I think of Final Fantasy VII now what I think of is, man, the 90's was the

best time for video games.

I'm still appreciating a work of art, just in a different way now.

The only way to know is to play it again.

So I did.

And no, this game is every bit as good as I had imagined it 20 years ago.

Yet even I have to admit, I have never felt the same way about the game in any subsequent

playthrough, the way I did when I first played it.

I replayed it again just this past year, and had an amazing time doing it.

The game is just so perfect.

There is, however, one problem.

I knew what was going to happen.

Every time.

At every turn.

I already knew what I was going to see, hear, even feel.

The big moments still hit me, though.

The times where I felt tremendous sadness, the times where I laughed so hard I could

barely breath, the times where all seemed hopeless.

These moments still landed, 20 years and several playthroughs later.

But, something was missing this time.

Something I can't quite put my finger on.

Here's a different question to ask, though.

Why does any game get remade?

Or a any movie?

It's because there is only so much enjoyment that can be had from seeing the same exact

things happen over and over again.

It becomes harder and harder to find new meaning in media after each experience.

Visual mediums that are based in spectacle have a unique problem.

People eventually lose the feeling of awe and wonder that they had on their first encounter.

And whether conscious or unconscious, they want that feeling back.

They never really wanted it to go in the first place, but, well, things happen.

Life happens.

As we grow older, we change.

And whether we want it to or not, time just keeps moving forward.

Here's probably my biggest realization in making this video, though, why do books…

not get remade?

Sure, there have probably been a few modernized interpretations of older texts like the bible

or ancient poetry, but as a medium, why do books not get remakes?

Our imagination of what we're reading can't possibly be the exact same upon every reading.

The images that we see when we reread a book will invariably be different every time, even

Remaking of a book is as simple as rereading it.

The visual spectacle is entirely up to the reader.

I would argue that it's easier to reengage a book and come away with a similar feeling

as the first reading, than it is for a video game, movie or any other medium.

So much is left to the imagination.

Just like when I would sit and read the Final Fantasy VII instruction manual, all the while

imagining these characters as they would look in reality.

Running through my living room, fighting bad guys and trying to save the world.

That feeling is what people are after when they want Final Fantasy VII to be remade.

They want to experience that game for the first time again.

It sounds like an oxymoron, but a good remake certainly has that potential.

The potential to inspire us again, to help us get through those

hard times... again.

A remake isn't just a preference to play the same game again except with better graphics

and camera controls.

It's a plea, from people like me.

People who would give so much just to be able to experience something familiar for the first

time, again.

In other words, it is a plea for the laws of nature, and time, to stop, and let this

one slide.

Let us experience the impossible.

Let us relive what we already lived through.

Let us feel, once again, that feeling that we never wanted to leave in the first place.

That is what we all hope for when we call on Square Enix, engineers and architects of

our childhoods, to remake their best selling game.

Whether that's what we'll actually get when it comes out…

I doubt it.

But, we can have a discussion about tempering expectations in order to enjoy something that

can't possibly live up to our personal ideals -- another time.

For this video, I just wanted to talk about why people called for Final Fantasy VII or

any other game to be remade in the first place.

It's not just about the new flashy visuals, the CG, scale, open world or anything else

that a modern game can offer.

In the end, we just want to re-experience the original feeling we had when we first

played it.

And if it even comes close to fulfilling that potential, I, for one, would love the chance

to play Final Fantasy VII, for the first time, again.

How to Do an Effective Content Gap Analysis for SEO - Duration: 8:21.

In this video, we're going to fill in the gaps in your content marketing strategy with

a seriously cool content gap analysis.

What's up guys, it's Sam Oh here with Ahrefs, the SEO tool that helps you grow your search

traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.

And today I'm going to show you how to do a little bit of incognito work on your competitors.

More specifically, you'll learn 3 hyper-effective content gap strategies that should give your

content marketing and blogging efforts a friendly boost in traffic.

So let's jump right in.

The first content gap analysis we're going to do is to find keywords that your competitors

rank for, but your website isn't ranking in the top 100 Google search results.

So I'll go to Ahrefs' Site Explorer tool and here, you can enter in a URL or domain.

So, in our case, since we're looking for new blogging topics, I'm going to do a prefix

search on Ahrefs blog.

Next, I'll click on the Content Gap tool in the left sidebar.

Now, when you're looking for new keywords to target, this top section here is where

you'll need to enter in the domains or URLs of your competitors in organic search.

So here, I'll put in moz.com/blog/, yoast.com, and backlinko.com.

If you're not sure who your competitors are, then you can use the competing domains

report right here within Site Explorer to find websites that are ranking for similar

keywords as your site.

Now, for Moz's blog, we'll have to make sure that the mode is set to prefix, since

we only want to find keyword topics from their blog.

And you'll see right here that their blog posts all have URLs prefixed with /blog/.

Now, as for Yoast and Backlinko, we can leave it as a domain search since their blog post URLs

are just domain.com slash slug.

And for our own blog, we'll have to make sure it's also set to "prefix" since

our posts are all under the /blog/ subfolder.

Now, before we hit the "show keywords" button, let me add a little bit of context

as to what we're searching for here.

In the first part, we're asking Content Gap to show us keywords that any of these

websites rank for, where at least one of the these sites ranks in the top 10 of Google's

search results.

And the final condition is that this site, which is our blog, doesn't rank at all in

the top 100 Google search results for that keyword.

But I want to make our results even more relevant, so I'm going to change the "show keywords"

filter from "any" to "all" of the below targets.

So we'll only see keywords where all 3 of our competitors have pages ranking somewhere

in the top 100, but our own site is not seen there.

And in almost all cases, I recommend leaving the "top 10 ranking" checkbox checked.

Now, I'll run the search.

So you can see here that we have 492 keywords where every single one of these sites are

ranking in the top 100 Google search results and at least one of them ranks in the top

10 for a target keyword.

Now, the ones that immediately stand out are the keywords "seo copywriting" and "video seo."

You can see that all 3 of our competitors are ranking decently high, which tells me

that they have made some kind of intentional effort to target these topics, and probably

for good reason.

These would both be perfectly relevant for our business too, so I'll make a mental

note to create content around these topics.

And from here, I can click on the SERP dropdown to see the top 10 ranking results and even

click here to see the top 100 results!

Also, there's are a couple really valuable shortcuts that will help your workflow.

If you click on the caret beside any of these numbers, you can get some quick stats

on the page plus shortcut links to your favorite reports

like the backlinks report or organic keywords report.

And you can also click on any of these numbers to open the respective page.

Now, if you find that there are too many keywords in here, you can narrow down your results

even further by clicking the plus button and adding more competitors.

And you can add up to 10 competitors here, but I'll just add one more and run the search again.

And you can see that the results set has shrunk to 423 keyword ideas.

Now, if you're on the other end, and you're not getting enough keyword ideas, you can

change this filter from "all of the below targets" to something like "at least 2

or 3 of the below targets" or "any of the below targets."

So I'll set this to at least 2 of the below targets and run the search again.

And now we're exponentially higher at over 8,000 keyword results!

And if that isn't enough for you, then you could also uncheck the top 10 Google ranking

requirement.

Then you'll see we're at just under 48,000 results, which is just bananas!

But you'll also find phrases that you probably have no interest in targeting.

So I recommend starting narrow and then broadening your search from there.

Pretty cool, right?

If all of your competitors are going after these keywords, then why wouldn't you target

them when all of the data is right in front of you?

Alright, the next way you can use the Content Gap analysis tool is for a content refresh.

And by content refresh, I'm referring to updating your old articles to a new and current version.

So, we've seen significant boosts in organic traffic when we update old content on the

Ahrefs blog. So this is definitely a blogging strategy that I highly recommend.

So the way this strategy works is to search for other relevant pages that are ranking

high in Google's search results for your target keyword and then to find sub topics

that you can include in your new and up to date post.

So, for example, in our organic keywords report, I've filtered down the results for keyword

terms between positions 5-10.

And you can see that we rank in position 7 for the keyword phrase "link building."

If I click through to our article, you can see that this was published in 2016, so it's

probably due for an update.

So from here, I can click on the SERP dropdown here and copy and paste a few of these URLs

in the top section of the Content Gap tool.

Finally, I'll paste our link building guide in the bottom section where it says "But

the following target doesn't rank for."

And again, I'll start with the "all of the below targets rank for" filter and broaden

my search from there, if needed.

And boom!

There are about 30 keywords here which tells me that there are actually quite a few things

we might be missing in our guide.

And from the looks of this report, I can see that if and when we update this post, we may

make note of "SEO links", "link building campaigns", and possibly have a short section

on explaining what backlinks are.

How awesome is that?

From what I've seen, this feature is unique to Ahrefs where you can do a content gap analysis

on exact URLs and prefix searches.

Now, you don't need to limit yourself to only old content.

You can do this exact same thing with one minor tweak that will basically have content

gap write an entire outline for a new post you want to create.

Just leave this bottom section blank and boom!

You now have a list of 83 keywords that are highly relevant to this topic.

And we know this because all of the top ranking pages for the parent term, "link building"

are also ranking for these other relevant keywords.

Alright, so the last use case I want to share with you today is one regarding consolidating content.

Now, there's a good chance that you've written about the same topic on more than

one occasion.

So rather than battling with your own pages in Google search, you can compare two or more

of your articles, see which one is ranking best, and then merge the posts together.

So I've already put two URLs in Content Gap from our blog.

The first one is about growing website traffic and the other is about increasing website traffic.

So basically the same thing.

By leaving this setting to "any of the below targets" and searching for only keywords

where either of these pages rank in the top 10 search results, you can see that the first

article is performing much better in Google search.

So from here, we would analyze the second article and see if any points from here could

be integrated into the more dominant piece.

Then, we would redirect the less dominant article to the one that seems to be better

serving the searcher's intent.

Now, I'm sure you can see how this simple little tool can provide powerful insights

for your content strategy.

So give content gap a shot and find new topics you probably should be targeting.

Use content gap to update some of your old content.

And use content gap to create new blog posts with this data-driven strategy to maximize

your organic keyword rankings.

Why Remake Final Fantasy VII - Duration: 10:22.

I remember exactly where I was when I first encountered Final Fantasy VII.

Back in Junior High, my good friend Mike showed me this awesome game he had just started playing.

I would come over to his house every few days to play the game with him as he would catch

me up on all the cutscenes I had missed.

The PC version had like 99 save files, so everytime something cool happened he would

start a new save so that we could experience it later.

After he beat the game, he let me borrow it for a while.

I was captivated.

When I couldn't play the game because one of my stupid brothers wanted to play their

own stupid game for a while, I would pour through the instruction manual.

Staring at the artwork of the main characters.

They all looked so cool, I could almost imagine them running right through my own living room,

fighting bad guys and saving the world.

Those few weeks gave me a feeling that I didn't want to ever forget.

Though, in the coming weeks, months, years, somehow…

I forgot.

In 2004, my older brother decided to shell out for a PS1 and, to my great pleasure, Final

Fantasy VII.

Rediscovering the world of Gaia was nothing short of magical.

The writing, the music, the battle system were just as I had remembered them.

However, the look of the game… was not.

the cutscenes, Cloud, Tifa, Sephiroth, everything looked a bit… off.

Sure, the next generation of consoles was out, and I was playing games like Halo, Wind

Waker, and The Prince of Persia.

But the older games didn't look that bad, right?

I was right, they were still charming and expressive.

Perfect little relics of their time.

But still, something felt a little off, and I couldn't shake that feeling for my entire

playthrough.

It was the same game, but it felt different this time.

Only a few months later, Sony released a PS3 technical demo featuring Final Fantasy VII

as a modern, fully 3D game.

The prospect of Final Fantasy VII being remade with modern graphics made me so excited I

couldn't even think straight.

That's what was missing, I thought.

The feeling came back, as I could faintly see Cloud and his friends, running through

my living room, battling and saving the world before my very eyes once again.

Years went by; and, no remake.

They weren't uneventful years, though.

Advent Children was a blast, that one anime came out, Dirge of Cerberus was… well, we

had Crisis Core!

And Cloud is in Smash Brothers, how could you not like that?

The truth is, with all the Final Fantasy VII related media that came out afterwards, beautiful

as it may have looked, there was still something missing.

It just didn't feel as much like the world I had explored in the original game.

Had I simply… outgrown Final Fantasy VII?

We've all had experiences where we've looked back on something we used to love,

something we identified heavily with, something that got us through some hard times, and realized

that maybe it just wasn't quite as good as we thought it was.

It gets harder and harder to turn back the clock and experience something as it was the

first time we heard or watched or played it.

Some things last through the ages.

Other things were meant to be experienced only in the time period in which they were

created.

Back then, Final Fantasy VII inspired within me feelings of courage, hope and discovery;

it fostered dreams and ambitions.

Yet when I think of Final Fantasy VII now what I think of is, man, the 90's was the

best time for video games.

I'm still appreciating a work of art, just in a different way now.

The only way to know is to play it again.

So I did.

And no, this game is every bit as good as I had imagined it 20 years ago.

Yet even I have to admit, I have never felt the same way about the game in any subsequent

playthrough, the way I did when I first played it.

I replayed it again just this past year, and had an amazing time doing it.

The game is just so perfect.

There is, however, one problem.

I knew what was going to happen.

Every time.

At every turn.

I already knew what I was going to see, hear, even feel.

The big moments still hit me, though.

The times where I felt tremendous sadness, the times where I laughed so hard I could

barely breath, the times where all seemed hopeless.

These moments still landed, 20 years and several playthroughs later.

But, something was missing this time.

Something I can't quite put my finger on.

Here's a different question to ask, though.

Why does any game get remade?

Or a any movie?

It's because there is only so much enjoyment that can be had from seeing the same exact

things happen over and over again.

It becomes harder and harder to find new meaning in media after each experience.

Visual mediums that are based in spectacle have a unique problem.

People eventually lose the feeling of awe and wonder that they had on their first encounter.

And whether conscious or unconscious, they want that feeling back.

They never really wanted it to go in the first place, but, well, things happen.

Life happens.

As we grow older, we change.

And whether we want it to or not, time just keeps moving forward.

Here's probably my biggest realization in making this video, though, why do books…

not get remade?

Sure, there have probably been a few modernized interpretations of older texts like the bible

or ancient poetry, but as a medium, why do books not get remakes?

Our imagination of what we're reading can't possibly be the exact same upon every reading.

The images that we see when we reread a book will invariably be different every time, even

Remaking of a book is as simple as rereading it.

The visual spectacle is entirely up to the reader.

I would argue that it's easier to reengage a book and come away with a similar feeling

as the first reading, than it is for a video game, movie or any other medium.

So much is left to the imagination.

Just like when I would sit and read the Final Fantasy VII instruction manual, all the while

imagining these characters as they would look in reality.

Running through my living room, fighting bad guys and trying to save the world.

That feeling is what people are after when they want Final Fantasy VII to be remade.

They want to experience that game for the first time again.

It sounds like an oxymoron, but a good remake certainly has that potential.

The potential to inspire us again, to help us get through those

hard times... again.

A remake isn't just a preference to play the same game again except with better graphics

and camera controls.

It's a plea, from people like me.

People who would give so much just to be able to experience something familiar for the first

time, again.

In other words, it is a plea for the laws of nature, and time, to stop, and let this

one slide.

Let us experience the impossible.

Let us relive what we already lived through.

Let us feel, once again, that feeling that we never wanted to leave in the first place.

That is what we all hope for when we call on Square Enix, engineers and architects of

our childhoods, to remake their best selling game.

Whether that's what we'll actually get when it comes out…

I doubt it.

But, we can have a discussion about tempering expectations in order to enjoy something that

can't possibly live up to our personal ideals -- another time.

For this video, I just wanted to talk about why people called for Final Fantasy VII or

any other game to be remade in the first place.

It's not just about the new flashy visuals, the CG, scale, open world or anything else

that a modern game can offer.

In the end, we just want to re-experience the original feeling we had when we first

played it.

And if it even comes close to fulfilling that potential, I, for one, would love the chance

to play Final Fantasy VII, for the first time, again.
