TOUGHEST Sports - You Would Not Last 1 Minute! - Duration: 10:12.

It is generally a given that sports are physically demanding.

Even those that look easy are actually pretty demanding on the body.

That is why children are always encouraged to take up sports as it helps them develop better.

But then there are some sports which actually take a great toll on your body.

Let us take a look at some of the toughest sports in the world.

15.

Bull Riding.

When you look at the enclosure and see the angry bull behind it, you know why bull riding

makes its way on the list of toughest sports in the world.

And we think that it would also make its way on the list of the stupidest things people

do pretty easily as well.

When a huge angry bull tries to shake you off, it will.

All you can do is hang on for as long as possible and you are supposed to hang on for at least

8 seconds.

But as it turns out, those 8 seconds have been termed the most dangerous 8 seconds in

sports!

14.

MMA and Wrestling.

Considering that these sports involve basically beating the opponent by sheer strength, it

is obvious that it is one of the toughest sports in the world.

What makes MMA even more challenging is that not only do you have to think about landing

the perfect blows but you also need to avoid getting hit by the opponent.

And since the blows can come from anywhere, mental agility is also a must for MMA.

And its not just the ring where it is gruelling.

Even the training required to step into the ring is very rigorous and perhaps that is

why MMA has become such a fitness fad now!

13.

Ice Hockey.

Most of us know how difficult it is to maintain our balance on skates.

Imagine doing that at high speeds with constant turns and the more than occasional bumps.

Ice hockey requires great speed and agility and often enough the players have to go out

in 45 second bursts of extreme speed and intensity.

What makes ice hockey more demanding is the fact that there is a mental factor that comes

in because you have to overcome the exhaustion that sets in after a burst to go out for another

one!

12.

Alpine Skiing.

If your eyebrows are going up in surprise, we understand.

Skiing does not really look like a sport that requires a lot of physical duress.

But surprising as it may be, elite alpine skiers need to have great muscular strength,

endurance, co-ordination, agility and balance.

And they need to have strong legs as that is what does most of the work.

Not to mention, skiers tend to get injured a lot so they need to be able to withstand

those injuries which in turn means that they have to be in very good shape!

11.

Rugby.

Any contact sport is demanding on the body.

And it doesn't just require strength, but speed, stamina, agility and conditioning as

well.

That is why rugby is one of the toughest sports in the world.

There is also an added tension because of the constant tussle that individuals and groups

get into on the rugby field.

Maintaining that intensity for 80 minutes is not easy to do, which is why rugby players

are usually extremely fit.

Also why they are prone to injuries as well!

10.

Boxing.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that boxing is one of the toughest sports.

It involves getting beaten up and then coming back from that beating to launch an assault

of your own!

But apart from the obvious requirement of strength, boxing also involves endurance and

swiftness on the feet.

Not to mention the gruelling training they go through to step into the ring.

The worst part about boxing is that after each round, you have to will yourself to go

for another round of beating and well it is not something that most of us would be capable

of!

9.

Basketball.

Given that it is a 5 man sport, basketball requires a great deal of stamina.

All the players keep constantly moving forward and backward on the court as the ball moves.

And then there are those enormous leaps that they have to take from time to time.

Basketball players need to be in great physical condition because it requires them to move

constantly.

Not to mention that the celebrations that come after scoring a basket is also pretty

exhausting!

8.

Tennis.

Most of us are familiar with what a game of tennis looks like.

And we know that it demands the kind of fitness most of us wont even think about!

It requires frequent changes in direction, bursts of speed, power and control.

That tends to take a toll of the players and that is the reason why many of them break

down pretty often.

Plus, the matches take around 2 hours and more per game.

Combine that with the fact that it is mostly played under the sun and you know that tennis

is a game that needs a lot of physical conditioning.

7.

Gymnastics.

Watching the beautiful and graceful moves of gymnasts have made all of us wish we could

move like that.

And while some of us may have managed to look graceful, most of us simply fell flat on our

faces!

That is because gymnastics is one of the most demanding sports.

It basically depends on your body being extremely flexible to be able to pull off those moves

and the strength to be able to hold on to those poses without making a mess out of them.

Not to mention that there is a lot of daring involved as well as the more difficult and

complex the manoeuvre that they attempt, they end up getting higher marks.

Of course the flip side is that if they fail to pull it off they are more or less certain

of a loss!

6.

Soccer.

One look at a soccer field and most of us would not fancy taking a couple of rounds

around it.

It is huge and the players need to cover a huge part of it in a gruelling 90 minutes

that takes a toll on their bodies.

In terms of agility, soccer is probably the toughest sport in the world.

And add to that the stamina, skills and speed required to be able to be called a master

of soccer is just mind boggling.

And if that was not enough, there are 11 players from the opposite team who would like nothing

better than to bump you into the ground.

Combine all that and you know why soccer players are paid so much and why they undergo such

gruelling training schedules.

5.

Figure Skating.

Figure Skating is a type of sport where teams, duos or individual skaters spin around on

the ice in complex formations.

It was first introduced in the 1908 Summer Olympics in London as the first winter sports

in Olympic.

Figure skating blades used in this sport is typically 4.7mm thick with a slight curve

of an arc of a circle having a radius of 180-220cm.

Figure skaters usually perform spins, lifts, jumps, throw jumps, moves in the field, death

spirals and various other moves while keeping their balance on ice.

It is a sport which is very demanding as it not only requires precision and accuracy of

movements, the throws and spins require enormous amounts of strength as well.

Not to mention falling down in practice countless times before perfecting it!

4.

Swimming.

Ever wondered why swimming is called the perfect work out?

Because it uses all the muscles in your body.

And that is just for beginners.

If you take up swimming as a sport, you are in for a world of pain because it demands

you to use every part of your body consistently.

It requires you to put in more than 100% every time because even a 0.1 second loss of focus

results in a loss!

And since it is an individual sport, there is no one around to cover for you in case

you make a mistake!

And the amount of hard work that goes into swimming can easily be gauged by the fact

that a "swimmers body" is one of the most desirable ones!

3.

Water Polo.

While wading in the water and throwing a ball around might not look like much, there is

a lot of physical activity that is required for water polo.

For a simple test, just go to a pool nearest to you and try wading in the water for half

an hour!

Another thing that makes water polo very tough to play is that a half of the players are

not visible under the water.

That gives a lot of space for sly blows and pushing and kicking!

And then there is the physical contact which takes place above the water.

Not to mention the fact that you have to spend a lot of effort in trying to not drown in

the water.

That is why water polo is one of the toughest sports in the world.

2.

Triathlon.

If there are any of you who have ever tried training for any sports, you know that it

is pretty challenging.

But of all the sports there is nothing better for building your endurance than Swimming,

Cycling and Running.

Unless of course you happen to be from Krypton!

Then, you would probably need the triathlon!

Triathlon is a sport which requires athletes to swim

4km, cycle 180km and run 42km over a pre-decided course and the winner is declared on the basis

of the over all time taken!

And considering that any of the 3 is enough to leave most of the panting, there is no

doubt that the Triathlon is one of the toughest sports in the world!

1.

Decathlon.

When it comes to sports, there is nothing tougher than the decathlon.

Why?

Because it combines 10 different and challenging sports into one!

Just imagine sprinting, hurdling, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, pole vault, 400

metre, 1500 metre and javelin all at once over the course of 2 days!

Training for even one of them professionally is beyond many of us, but imagine training

for all of them!

The kind of physical conditioning and duress that a decathlon needs is mind numbing.

Athletes are known to break down during a decathlon if they are not in the best possible

physical condition.

Simply put, if there was ever an Olympics for supermen and women, decathlon would be

the one sport that would be played in it!

Have you ever played any of these sports?

Or do you know someone who is a professional at any of them?

If so, do let us know the challenges and preparations that are required for it in the comments section

How it Works: Armor | World of Warships - Duration: 10:18.

You already know, from the previous episodes of How it Works,

how armor-piercing shells deal damage.

But in order to deliver their harmful payload to a ship's vital compartments,

they need to penetrate the armor first.

In today's episode, we're going to talk about how the armor works,

and how to penetrate it the right way.

How It Works

The velocity of a shell, its mass,

and the shell to armor incidence angle affect armor penetration.

However, a ship's armor is a complex multi-layered system of armor plates.

The multi-layered armor structure

is the primary feature of the armor in World of Warships.

Now let's demonstrate this with an example.

New York fires an armor- piercing 356-millimeter shell

causing 10,000 damage to the side of Fuso from a distance of 18 kilometers.

The armor penetration of this shell at such a distance is 204 millimeters.

At the point of impact, the shell will meet 19-mm antitorpedo protection,

a 203-mm casemate armor belt, and finally, a 99-mm citadel armor deck.

In total, 321 millimeters.

When a shell hits armor, several checks are made.

The first of them is the 14.3 caliber rule.

If the armor is thinner at the impact point

than a shell caliber divided by 14.3,

then the shell won't ever bounce off the armor,

regardless of the angle of incidence.

Then, the penetration check starts.

The antitorpedo protection, of course, doesn't stand a chance.

But these 19 millimeters did their job

and reduced the armor penetration of the shell.

204-19=185.

All the checks have to be done again for each of the following armor layers.

The 14.3 caliber rule doesn't work with 203 millimeters.

Next, the second check applies, the ricochet calculation.

If the incidence angle is from 0 to 30 degrees, it's 100% a ricochet.

If the incidence angle is from 31 to 45 degrees,

the probability of a ricochet is reduced.

And, finally, if the incidence angle is from 46 to 90 degrees,

a ricochet is practically impossible, and the armor penetration check starts.

By the way, we should note that British cruisers

and American 203-millimeter cruiser guns have sharper ricochet angles—

ricochet is impossible even at 30 degrees.

New York's shells have two possible future outcomes:

if there is no ricochet,

then the remaining 185 millimeters of the armor penetration,

left after the shell goes through the 19 millimeters of antitorpedo protection,

won't penetrate the 203 millimeters of Fuso's casemate armor belt.

The shell will detonate and it won't do any damage,

because the explosion occurs in the antitorpedo protection

that is specifically designed to prevent damage to a ship.

The second outcome:

the shell hits Fuso's side at a sufficiently sharp angle, bounces off,

then, hits the 19 millimeters of antitorpedo protection again,

penetrates it according to the 14.3 caliber rule, and falls into the water.

Now, let's place New York closer and fire a shell from 15 kilometers.

The armor penetration at such a distance is 224 millimeters.

[224-19=205]

That's why New York has every chance of penetrating the casemate armor belt

and inflicting damage on Fuso

following the rules we discussed in our previous episodes.

But this will happen only if the shell to armor incidence angle

is close to 90 degrees.

The thing is, the shell penetration is compared with not only the armor,

but with the relative armor.

Relative armor is the armor thickness

calculated taking into account the shell to armor incidence angle.

The sharper the angle, the more armor a shell needs to penetrate.

A deviation of 5 to 10 degrees will lead to the following:

both the antitorpedo protection and the casemate armor belt

will become thicker by a few millimeters,

but it will be sufficient enough

to prevent the 205 millimeters of the shell penetration

from piercing the 203-millimeter armor and Fuso will remain undamaged.

However, an AP shell has another important parameter—normalization.

It's a small increase (but as we saw, even a few degrees matter)

of the angle of incidence towards the perpendicular of the plate's surface,

and, therefore, a decrease of the relative armor.

Normalization of the 356-millimeter caliber is 6 degrees.

That's why our small deviation by 5-10 degrees will be compensated

and the casemate armor belt will be penetrated,

but the citadel armor deck will withstand the hit,

so Fuso will lose only 3,300 HP.

Now, let's put New York 5 kilometers away and fire a shell.

The shell penetration is 337 millimeters,

and the angle of incidence is close to the perpendicular of the plate's surface,

so there is enough armor penetration for three layers

of the 321-millimeter armor protecting Fuso's citadel from damage.

However, as you already know,

a shell passes through all the checks for each armor layer:

starting with the 14.3 caliber rule and ending with the normalization.

The shell penetrates the first two layers,

hits the citadel armor deck at a very sharp angle, and bounces off.

Then, it explodes in the casemate and deals 3,300 damage again.

But if a shell hits Fuso's side a little close to the forward end and lower,

it will have to penetrate 19 millimeters of antitorpedo protection,

229 millimeters of the casemate armor belt,

and 76 millimeters of the citadel armor deck slopes located at different angles.

In total, there are 324 millimeters,

which a shell from New York will penetrate

and inflict the full damage on the prized citadel.

And what will happen if a shell hits Fuso's fore end?

The armor thickness in the most protected spot is 102 millimeters.

The armor penetration of New York's primary armament

from 15 kilometers away will be enough for a shell

to over-penetrate through Fuso and fall into the water.

But engineers made sure that the AP shells

would deliver their harmful payload to the hull, through the armor.

The AP shells have a special fuse installed inside;

it activates after a shell penetrates armor of a specific thickness.

Activation of a fuse is delayed,

so a shell has some time to reach "deeper" into a ship after a hit.

If the thickness of the penetrated armor

is greater or equals 1/6th of the shell caliber,

the fuse activates, and the shell detonates,

inflicting damage to whichever part the shell ended up in.

In our example, New York's shells need to penetrate

at least 59 millimeters of armor to be activated.

It doesn't matter how many layers of thinner armor it's going to penetrate,

the fuse won't activate by any means.

Therefore, after the shell penetrates Fuso's 102-mm fore end armor belt,

the shell will successfully detonate inside.

However, if the shell hits the 25-mm fore end casing above the armor belt,

the fuse won't activate, and the shell will fly through the ship,

inflicting only 10% of the damage with the over-penetration.

We can get the same result when a shell hits a superstructure

or when a shell activates inside of the ship's end

and manages to over-penetrate the ship before detonating.

Another interesting showcase is when a shell falls into the water.

After that, it activates automatically.

Then, the fate of the shell depends on the angle of incidence—

the velocity and, therefore,

armor penetration of a shell are significantly reduced in water,

and the trajectory slightly changes.

However, the shell has a chance to reach the underwater parts of a ship,

penetrate them, and detonate inside of a ship.

Such hits are extremely dangerous for destroyers—

it's easy to penetrate a destroyer's side even underwater,

plus, the fuse has been activated by hitting the water.

As you can see, multi-layered armor is a unique feature of the ships' armor

that has its advantages and disadvantages.

But then, a question arises:

what should I do if my shells don't penetrate an enemy ship?

You'll find the answer to that question in our next episode of How it Works,

which will be dedicated to HE shells.

Why I'm Against Cursing || Mayim Bialik - Duration: 6:27.

- I don't like to curse.

Mother (beep).

But sometimes, I do curse.

Would you get your (beep) face off the (beep).

I mean, I guess I like to curse, but not really.

(beep)

Let's try this again.

I don't want to like to curse.

And I don't want my kids to curse.

I mean, I know that they will curse.

But I just don't want them to do it in front of me.

Let's back this cursing train up.

I'm not comfortable with cursing for several reasons.

Cursing can be a lackadaisical form of communication.

Just like language today has kind of become a series of,

and I'm all, uh, and he's like, what?

All kinds of special words exist for a special situation.

Like saying I love you belongs in a very specific time.

So does I hate you.

When we start using special words all the time,

it waters down their impact and their meaning.

Curse words can be very impactful

when used to communicate intensity, anger and even humor.

Sometimes there is a linguistic need for vulgarity

or for emphasis or for that pow,

that punch that cursing really delivers.

Pow!

(beep)

However, if we constantly use curse words,

they become common place.

And we need to constantly up the ante

and find words that are more vulgar, more outrageous,

more disgusting to communicate

the kinds of things that sometimes as humans

we want to communicate.

If everything is an F bomb, the F bomb loses its F bombness.

As a mom, I worry that my kids will take on cursing

as a habit that is not always appropriate in all situations.

Cursing represent a cultural shift in propriety.

Think about president Trump's use of the phrase, son of a B

which he hurled from the presidential podium

just a few months ago.

This loosening up of linguistic morals

makes me uncomfortable.

Why?

Because I'm old fashioned

and I think that there are certain words

that are respectful and appropriate

and there's certain language that's not.

I know that I'm in the minority here

but I am holding this line

like a good linguistic general should.

I think cultures need to guard decorum carefully.

And I think that the loosing of linguistic rules

is a sign of some sort of breaking down

which I don't like.

Despite my distaste for cursing in general,

I'm not gonna tell you that I never curse.

Of course I do, it happens.

I mean, never at my kids but sometimes around them,

towards them, near them, on them.

I'm not proud of it, I don't like it.

So how do we handle cursing?

Me, society, all of it.

Number one, how can I curse less?

Not exactly sure to be honest.

We have discussed a cursing jar.

Maybe I'll try that.

Since I tend to curse more when I'm overwhelmed,

exhausted, frustrated, annoyed, overworked,

I think that more self care

and less letting things build up

will inevitably decrease the probability of cursing

from that kind of frustration and overwhelm.

Meditation is also a good thing for me to continue doing,

possibly adding more of it

and many trips to the spa might be necessary.

Number two, what about my kids cursing?

(beep) No!

Sure dancer, no cursing for children.

No!

I know that my kids may curse

when they're with their friends

or when they're out in the big, bad world

where everybody curses.

But I see it as a sign of respect

for my children not to curse in front of me.

To parents who do curse in front of their kids,

and allow their kids to curse in front of them,

I don't think it makes you a bad parent,

it's just, its not my style.

I inform my sons that the way that I expect respect

in my home is for them not to use

what we call prickly words in front of me.

I don't think it's respectful to use words

in front of your parents that you would use

with your friends to express vulgarity.

And I'm not really big on substitutes either.

Shut the F up is actually just shut the F up.

Find a way not to substitute fake words for curse words,

open the dictionary, there's a lot

other words to use, come on.

Phooey, an exclamation indicating

rejection, contempt or disgust.

Phoeey on love, phoeey.

Confound, to be mad about something,

to bring ruin or not confounded.

Oh here's a good one, dagnabbit.

Number three, what about pop culture?

I know you're probably thinking

that with all of my old fashioned

uptightness about language, I don't let my children

listen to music or watch TV or see movies.

You're wrong.

When we listen to the radio,

my rule is that we don't listen to any song

that has more bleeps than words.

I know my kids can rhyme, I know that they can figure out

what rhymes with witches and score.

Which is in scores.

You know, think, take a second, right.

In all seriousness, it's very hard

to fight the tide of this culture.

And I sometimes find myself singing words

and forgetting to bleep myself

when it's songs that I'm just used to listening to.

My kids get a kick out of it.

We laugh about it, they know that I'm serious about it

because of all of the lecturing I do about it otherwise.

As for movies, one of my main tools

for making decisions about movie watching

is a website and an app.

And every time I mention it,

my kids roll their eyes really hard at me and I ignore them.

It's called Common Sense.

Common Sense rates every movie

for the amount of cursing in it

as well as the amount of nudity, violence,

drug use and even emotional intensity

which is very helpful if you have a sensitive child

or are a sensitive adult like me.

In conclusion, I want my sons to know

that language is special.

Language matters and not only is it important

to respect your mother the way she wants to be respected,

but to respect your words and your decorum

as you go out into the world.

And yes, it is challenging to be up

against the loosing of standards about cursing,

when musicians and TV shows

and even the president use them so freely.

But every family gets to do what's right for them.

And in my house, it's my rules.

I hold myself to them as well as my boys.

It's not always easy but I get to constantly

show my boys over and over that words matter.

Especially my favorite word

that I use when I curse and regret it.

Oops.

Am I totally off here?

Please let me know in the comments below

if I need to completely shift my perspective about cursing.

Like, share, and subscribe.

See you next time.

Thanks for watching.

Michelle Livid At Barack For Dropping $65Mil Deal In Panic, After Trump Blindsided Him With Nasty.. - Duration: 5:43.

Michelle Livid At Barack For Dropping $65Mil Deal In Panic, After Trump Blindsided Him

With Nasty Surprise.

Barack Hussein and Michelle Obama both signed a $65 million contract last year, agreeing

to write their memoirs about their eight disastrous years in the White House.

But so far, only Michelle Obama has finished her memoir, which is coined "becoming Michelle,"

leaving people asking where Barack's book is.

But what's even more interesting about all this is that because of this Michelle's

furious, with the former president because the contract stipulates, this deal is for

both memoirs.

So if he doesn't come up with his half of the deal it would, in turn, break the multi-million

dollar deal.

Back in March 2017, Vanity Fair Reported on this deal:

"Though Obama reportedly plans to write his memoir on an island in the sun, Michelle

Obama will stay in Washington D.C., while she pens her own book.

The Obamas, who made the choice to remain in the area while their younger daughter,

Sasha, finishes high school, are renting a home in the neighborhood of Kalorama.

"She's got one daughter to get off to college, another is a [sophomore] in high

school.

All of that comes first," Tina Tchen, Obama's White House chief of staff, told the Post.

"Now she will also be working on the book, and still keeping up her engagement with the

community as she always has."

We all know President Obama doesn't have the work ethic & energy of Trump.

The man coasted into everything because of his skin color, and the fact that he knows

how to read a speech well.

But rumor has it the memoir is nowhere to be found, because of another reason altogether.

He is terrified of the Spygate fiasco he and Valery Jarrett may have been responsible for.

Here is more on this via American Thinker:

"Unless we assume the FBI went completely rogue, it is inconceivable that the deployments

of personnel to spy on the Trump campaign, and make provocative contact with its lesser

members could have occurred without the full knowledge, and control of the occupants of

the Oval Office.

Obama may claim a scandal-free administration, but after Fast and Furious, the targeting

of the Tea Party by the IRS, the Benghazi cover-up, Hillary's emails, to name a few,

Spygate is just the latest.

I use the plural "occupants" because while Barack Hussein Obama, may have been nominally

the president of the United States, at the heart of every one of these scandals, and

virtually every administration move was Valerie Jarrett, who arguably could be considered

our first female president.

Jarrett, born in Iran to American parents, has been with the Obamas since her days as

deputy chief of staff in the office of Chicago mayor Richard Daley, the younger.

She hired Michelle Obama, then Michelle Robinson, to fill an opening in the mayor's office.

As WikiLeaks describes the beginning of a long relationship.

In 1991, as deputy chief of staff to Mayor Richard Daley, Jarrett interviewed Michelle

Robinson for an opening in the mayor's office, after which she immediately offered Robinson

the job.

Michelle Robinson asked for time to think and also asked Jarrett to meet Robinson's

fiancé, Barack Obama.

The three ended up meeting for dinner.

After the dinner, Michelle took the job with the mayor's office, and Valerie Jarrett

reportedly took the couple under her wing and "introduced them, to a wealthier and

better-connected Chicago than their own."

Jarrett later took Michelle with her when Jarrett left the mayor's office, to head

Chicago's Department of Planning and Development.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Not only did Valerie Jarrett become a mentor to the young Barack Obama, but she soon became

what some have called Obama's Rasputin, someone who had more security than our personnel

did in Benghazi.

She receives more protection than our Libyan ambassador, calls the president by his first

name, dines and vacations with the First Family, and had the power to call off three strikes

against Osama bin Laden.

Ambassador Chris Stevens did not have a Marine detail in Benghazi, Libya.

But White House senior adviser and Obama confidante Valerie Jarrett reportedly, had a full Secret

Service detail on vacation in Martha's Vineyard.

"Jarrett seems to have a 24-hour, around-the-clock detail, with five or six agents full time,"

Democratic pollster Pat Caddell said in an interview recently with Breitbart news.

If Stevens had a similar escort, he'd probably be alive today.

Such protection isn't usually available to senior advisers, but Jarrett is no ordinary

adviser."

We know perfectly well this won't end well for Obama, Comey, Hillary, Jarrett or Mueller,

who have all been corrupted.

Just think, what was supposed to be the most transparent administration in history allegedly

managed, to get the FBI to spy on a private citizen because of a fake Russian Dossier,

the Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton paid for.

These people better all hide, and hide fast, because once the things start coming out not

even their lackeys in the mainstream media, won't be able to stop the flow of damning

information.

Information which would have never seen the light of day, if anyone other than President

Donald Trump would have won the 2016 President Election.

Why Do Chinese People Sound Chinese? | Improve Your Accent - Duration: 9:15.

when a Chinese person speaks English they often have a Chinese accent, but what does this mean?

there is no one Chinese language, within China people speak a variety of different languages and dialects

but there are some general accent features that most Chinese people have when speaking English

in this video I'm going to show you some of those features

and I'm going to be using clips of actor Jackie Chan to show you what I mean

languages have restrictions on where consonants can be and how many consonants are allowed to be together in a word

Chinese languages usually don't like consonants at the ends of words or multiple consonants together

so when a Chinese person speaks English, they may unconsciously keep to these restrictions

for example

if an English word ends in two consonants the final consonant may be deleted to avoid multiple consonants being together

listen to how Jackie Chan says jump, stunt, and script. He deletes the final consonant

the same process happens in the middle of a word. In the word action we've got a /k/ and a /ʃ/ sound

Jackie Chan deletes the /k/, so action becomes action

listen to this next clip and also notice how he deletes the final consonant sound of audience and world

it can also happen at the beginning of a word

so Bruce Lee becomes simplified to Buce Lee.

if one word ends in a consonant and the next word begins with a consonant

Chinese speakers may insert a vowel to break up this consonant sequence

listen to Jackie Chan say

his stunt

bus station and this script

notice how he inserts a vowel sound

Chinese has a very different rhythm compared to English

a Chinese speaker tends to stress more syllables in a sentence compared to an English speaker

this may give the impression of a flat, staccato rhythm

listen to Jackie Chan

he's stressing most of the words in the sentence equally, whereas I would only stress the most important words, for example:

the first time I met Chris Tucker we tried to make Rush Hour 1

Dark Ls in English are Ls with no vowel sound after them

when a Chinese person says a Dark L, they may turn it into a vowel sound

listen to me say roll

and table

now listen to Jackie Chan

and when Jackie Chan says too old it sounds like to owe

because the final consonant is deleted and then the L turns into a vowel

when a word ends with an N sound, it may be deleted or turned into an NG /ŋ/ sound by a Chinese speaker

the vowel before may be nasalised

listen to me say question, when, champion

now listen to Jackie Chan

/w/ and /v/ are two sounds that a Chinese person may confuse when speaking in English

so with and walk may be pronounced with a /v/ sound instead

the terms voiced and voiceless

describe whether a sound is made with the vocal folds vibrating or not

if you make a long /v/ sound you can feel your vocal folds vibrating inside your larynx

if you make a long F sound, it's not vibrating

when a Chinese person speaks in English voiced sounds at the ends of words tend to become voiceless, so live

becomes lif

the voiced B in grab sounds more like a voiceless P sound

and the voiced D sound in said and Brad is turned into a glottal stop

a glottal stop is made when the vocal folds quickly close inside the larynx

it sounds like the vowel is stopped suddenly, so said and Brad turn into saiʔ Braʔ

there are a few accent features that are specific to certain languages and dialects within China, so not every Chinese speaker will have problems

there may be confusions between an N and an L sound

when Jackie Chan says another

the first time he uses an N and the second time, it sounds closer to an L

some speakers may mix up Ls and Rs

so when Jackie Chan says far away notice how the R sounds closer to an L sound

for some speakers, /ʃ/ sounds will turn into /s/ sounds

this means words like English and Schwarzenegger

will turn into Englis and Swarzenegger

these are just some of the features that create a Chinese accents in English

of course, there are others including vowel sounds but I don't have time to cover everything in one video

if you've enjoyed this video, then please like it and share it with your Chinese friends

Jeep Wrangler Axial LED Headlights w/ High & Low Beam (1997-2018 TJ & JK) Review & Install - Duration: 7:18.

Hey guys.

So, today on the table, I have the Axial LED headlights with high beam and low beams.

And these are going to be a great option for you JK and TJ owners looking for a full replacement

light without breaking the bank.

These are going to be a great option if you've busted out a headlight on the trail and want

a full replacement or you're just looking for better visibility and a brighter and cleaner

light overall.

These are going to be completely plug and play, so install is going to be a one out

of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, and I'll show you how to do that in just a

sec.

So, first thing's first, in order to access the headlights, we need to pop the hood and

pop off our grille.

So, after the hood's popped, we can pop off our grille.

There are going to be six clips on top of here holding it on.

I'm going to remove them with a flat-head.

Just, if you do use a flat-head, be careful of the paint on your grille or you can use

a trim removal tool.

Just be careful while you're pulling the grille off of your turn signal harnesses.

And then you can flip the grille forward and unplug those.

So, now that we have access to our headlights, all we have to do is remove these four Torx

screws here with a T15 Torx bit.

Now, while you're taking out your last screw, make sure that you have a handle on the light

because this is going to be what's holding it in and it will fall out.

After you have your four screws removed, you can pop out your headlight and disconnect

the harness.

If you want to give yourself a little bit more room, you can also use a pretty short

extension.

So, sitting these two headlights side by side, you can tell that there's a huge upgrade from

the stock factory halogen to your new LED light.

You new LED is going to have a chrome reflector inside that's similar to your stock lights.

However, it's going to be a dark chrome and it's going to give it a stealthy look.

What you're also getting with your new LED lights is this split bar in between for your

high beam and low beam, which I think it gives it a unique look and gives a refresh to the

front end of your Wrangler overall.

With your new LED light, you're also getting a more durable housing.

These have a black aluminum housing and they're sealed on the back, which means that they're

going to be waterproof.

These are rated IP67.

So, they're going to be completely dust proof from any dust hitting your headlights on the

trail.

And if you dunk your front end in some water, these will hold up just fine.

So, before we install our new LED headlight, we do have to swap over our trim that's going

to be holding in the headlight from our stock one.

You can just place that over.

And then you will have to connect the wiring harnesses that you're provided.

So, first you'll plug in your EMC wiring harness which is going to be your Anti-Flicker Harness.

So, you can plug that in your H4 Connector.

And if you have a TJ, you have this H4 connection, so you can install this on your stock wiring

harness.

But if you have a JK, you will use the additional harness for the H4 to H13 conversion.

So, if you have a JK, you can plug that in at this time.

So, once both of your wiring harnesses are installed, you can plug them into your stock

wiring harness and mount your headlight up.

You can click in your new harness.

And you will have to tuck all of this wiring behind your headlight bezel, but it should

all fit just fine.

Make sure the larger portion of the light is facing up.

You can also orient this by looking at the DOT and SAE symbol at the top.

So, along with an upgrade in the looks department, you're also getting a big upgrade in performance.

These new LEDs are going to give you a brighter, cleaner and more uniform light pattern, which

is going to project your light further down the road, helping out your visibility just

that much more than your stock halogen lights would.

So, your stock halogen light has a light color temperature of around 3,000 K, which is going

to give it that yellowish, amber hue.

And these new ones have a light color temperature of 5,600 K, which give it that bright, clean,

white, crisp light.

So, also with these LED headlights, you're getting a huge upgrade in your life span of

your lights.

Like I mentioned before, this will be your most affordable option for a full LED replacement

headlight at around $100.

The only one that's going to be a little bit more budget-friendly than this option will

be an LED conversion kit, where you keep your stock halogen housing.

I think, for a simple but very refreshed light and all the benefits of an LED that this is

definitely worth it.

Now, let's adjust our headlights before we throw our grille back on.

You can use this adjustment bolt which is also going to be a T15 Torx to adjust them

up or down.

So, after we've adjusted our headlights, we can pop our grille back on.

So, you can either plug your turn signals in at this point or if you want to wait till

the end when the grille is on.

We're going to wait till the end.

So, now that the grille's back on, we can plug in our turn signals.

After your turn signals are plugged back in, we can attach all six of our clips and then

close our hood.

So, that's it for my review and install on the Axial LED headlights with high beams and

low beams.

Moby's restaurant Little Pine is what vegan dreams are made of! - Duration: 3:18.

The food at Little Pine: it's not junk food, but it's certainly not sprouted

brown rice bowls. Hi, I'm Moby and we're here at my

restaurant Little Pine in Silver Lake in Los Angeles. One of the things that makes

us unique is that 100% of the profits that we generate go to charity,

specifically animal rights organizations. Hi, I'm Leslie Andrews. I'm the general

manager at Little Pine. Hi, I'm Lou Oates. I'm the Executive Chef at Little Pine. Our

brunches are incredibly busy from start to finish.

French toast, lemon poppy seed pancakes are a must

absolutely. Our croissants are insane. Our head pastry, Amy, she makes an amazing,

amazing doughnut of the day. And every week, it's just absolutely incredible.

Have I represented veganism well, and some of the things on the menu that I

love personally: we have these sriracha- glazed Brussels sprouts and the thing is, I

don't like Brussels sprouts and I love these. Our piccata, it's probably our

biggest seller. I was having dinner here with RZA from Wu-Tang Clan and he loved

it so much we shared one, he ordered one for himself, and then he ordered one to

bring home to his wife and then he texted me to say that he was embarrassed,

but he actually ate it in the car on the ride home. The desserts are great. We

have this chocolate smores ganache that has an aquafaba, like a sweetened vanilla

aquafaba, sort of cream top. I mean, I'm biased, my restaurant, but I think the

food is really good. One guy the other night left and yelled

out the door like "best meal of my entire life" and people seem to say that just

overall does they have really great experiences when they come in here. Someone

sent me an Eric Clapton album to say "thank you." (laughs) That was nice.

It's not super advertised that it's vegan,

so some people want to do walkins that have no idea that they're at a vegan

restaurant, which is really nice for us to hear that they actually end up loving

it and that they'll come back. So we just kind of like slowly, quietly are

converting people. Around the age of 23, I had felt like

I needed to make a big change in everything I was doing

fundamentally beginning with my diet and I began to realize that I could vote

with my fork and make a difference and become more compassionate in my choices.

So I decided veganism was where I wanted to go and kind of didn't look back. We

live in a world where veganism is still, and animal rights, is such a tiny part of

the way in which people orient themselves towards being alive and

eating and living and I know that if humanity survives, at some point we will

live in a vegan world because it just makes sense in terms of health, in terms

of resource allocation, in terms of its antibiotic use, in terms of rainforest

deforestation, ocean acidification, and most importantly, animals. So the world

will become vegan but in the meantime hundreds of billions of animals are

going to suffer and die. I feel like I can never do enough, you know. I mean my

own life is secondary to my activism.

her husband's pornography addiction had recently escalated he was sexually

arousing himself using a picture he had drawn of his wife with her head cut off

needless to say she feared for her life and to protect herself and her children

she eventually fled to another country her husband was a respected man in her

community another friend learned of her husband's

porn addiction after he left her and their child for another woman his father

had told him porn would enhance their marriage instead it drove him to

infidelity yet another friend was devastated when her husband of 30 years

carefully confessed to her that his porn addiction had escalated to the point

that he was compulsively using prostitutes and therefore she needed to

be tested for STDs including HIV having worked at the United Nations since the

year 2000 and having witnessed how for decades the UN has ignored the root

cause of many of the societal ills they're purporting to solve I felt

compelled to create a documentary called the porn pandemic for this film I

interviewed many top experts on pornography sexual addiction and brain

development as well as many victims of pornography their testimonies all show

how pornography destroys lives dreams marriages and Families one boy I

interviewed first saw pornography at the age of 13 and he was almost immediately

addicted this soon escalated to the point that he tried out the things he

saw on his younger sister when he got caught he was thrown in jail for

sexually abusing her in the documentary he questions why there are laws

requiring people to lock up guns to keep them away from children but pornography

which can be just as deadly is freely available for children to access another

victim I interviewed was a woman who at the age of seven had been drugged

repeatedly by her friend's father during sleepovers she was filmed as multiple

men assaulted her and this trauma has followed her for life what is seen in

pornography is real the people on the screen are actually experiencing what

you see and the brain cannot unexperienced what it has experienced

and cannot unsee what it has seen it's recorded there permanently

many claim viewing pornography is a personal choice that the government has

no business regulating they claimed porn as a protected form of free speech and

expression an art form and that watching porn is a harmless healthy normal

pleasurable activity that carries no negative consequences to anyone

millions of porn victims know differently and although it's more

common for boys and men to develop pornography addictions it's becoming

increasingly more common for girls to become addicted last week after giving a

presentation in Kenya a Kenyan woman approached me offering to be interviewed

to tell her story she reported that her addiction began with reading explicit

romance novels which led to soft porn which led to harder and harder porn

another woman I interviewed in the US with a similar story also reported that

her addiction started with steamy romance novels she admitted her

addiction escalated to viewing child porn she said she was appalled when she

found herself actually becoming sexually attracted to children fortunately she

was able to get help before she became a perpetrator herself ironically many

people viewing porn are doing so against their own personal convictions and

religious beliefs no one ever chooses to become addicted

to pornography but for some even a single accidental exposure can lead to a

lifelong addiction pornography does not disk

according to race culture age gender political affiliation religion or

financial or social status it can impact anyone with access of any age at any

time in any country of any race or background another documentary we are

producing features a residential program in the US for men with extremely severe

porn addictions many have lost their jobs their wives their children and

everything they hold dear because they cannot stop viewing pornography and yet

some people claim pornography addiction is a myth since family watch

international takes its positions based on social science data and medical facts

let me give you just a few facts regarding porn it's a global epidemic

porn is estimated to be a ninety seven billion dollar global industry and

according to The Huffington Post each month porn sites receive more traffic

the Netflix Amazon and Twitter combined the impact on the brain

pornography viewing has been found to hijack the brain's reward system similar

to the way that cocaine does a 2014 study found that increased pornography

viewing is linked to decreased brain matter in the areas of the brain

responsible for motivation and decision making porn violence and sexual assault

a study of the best-selling pornographic videos found that 88% contain physical

aggression this included spanking gagging and

slapping and about 48% of scenes contain verbal aggression including name-calling

pornography is associated with increased negative attitudes towards women and

decreased empathy for victims of sexual violence men who are exposed to violent

porn were six times more likely to report rape behavior women who reported

that their partner was a porn user were almost twice as likely to be battered by

their partner what about porn and promiscuity higher

frequency of viewing pornographic videos was associated with higher rates of

having anal sex group sex and hookups porn and prostitution frequency of

pornography use has been found to correlate with frequency of purchasing

sex what about porn and marriage pornography

use is increasingly playing a role in separation and divorce frequent exposure

to pornography is associated with the belief that marriage is sexually

confining Internet users who had engaged in an extramarital affair were three

times more likely to have used internet porn then a Cambridge University study

found that men who reported having excessive porn use had significantly

more difficulty with sexual arousal and experienced more erectile difficulties

as well what about porn and child sexual abuse a study of child sexual abuse

offenders found that 92% possessed images of minors that emphasize their

sexuality or showed them involved in sex acts what about the impact of porn on

our youth youth with greater pornography exposure have been found to be more

likely to engage in risky sexual behavior have oral sex anal sex and sex

with multiple partners view women as sex objects

have attitudes that support violence against women report decreased empathy

for rape victims for all the reasons I just stated I plead with you to do

everything within your power to stop the dissemination of pornography in Poland

let Poland be the shining example for all of Europe and the rest of the world

to stand up against the porn industry and say no let Poland protect your

children and families from porn and then bring your example to the United Nations

we're together we can launch an international initiative uniting

countries across the world to combat porn I will conclude with just a few

lines of a proposed international resolution against pornography that we

hope Poland will sign whereas pornography represents the

photographic or video depiction of sexual exploitation of human beings

whereas the production of hardcore pornography entails the exploitation and

degradation of women and girls subjecting them to verbal and physical

abuse whereas both adult and child pornography is used by sexual predators

to groom entice desensitize and instruct their child victims

whereas pornography presents a distorted debased and often violent image of human

sexuality devoid of love responsibility and commitment

whereas pornography addiction prevents damages and destroys marriages and is a

key contributor to family breakdown be it therefore resolved that we the

following nations hereby commit to pass and strictly enforce laws and policies

prohibiting the production and distribution of child pornography and to

strictly regulate the distribution of adult pornography to the fullest extent

allowed by law and to prohibit internet services from providing children any

access whatsoever to pornography I hope as you continue throughout this

conference to listen to the information about the harms of pornography and the

ideas that are presented about how to regulate it and stamp it out of your

country I hope that you will listen and those of you who have a position in

government where you can create these policies please do whatever you can to

protect the children of Poland from this terrible scourge thank you

MY EASY TANNING ROUTINE FOR BEGINNERS | St Tropez One Minute Tan Review | Ysis Lorenna ad - Duration: 8:35.

Hi guys, welcome back to my channel so I've been given a very exciting channel

mum challenge I'm going to be trying out the new St Tropez gradual tan 1-minute

pre shower tanning mousse I'm going to be applying this over the next three

days and showing you some progress and then in the fourth day I'll share the

final results and tell you exactly what I think about it whether or not I think

it suits my skin tone my needs I'm honestly so excited and looking forward

to trying this and hoping that it will work on my skin because my experience

with tanning products so far hasn't been great as you can see I have naturally

quite olive skin in any case but my skin goes quite dull and gray very very

quickly especially in the winter but also in the summer because I'm not one

of those people who like to sunbathe having that a lovely sunkissed glow

makes such a difference to me and it boosts up my confidence so much so what

I'm expecting for this is a natural sunkissed glow II look I don't want

anything too deep too orange I just want to look natural but sunkissed and what's

so interesting about this product especially for any fellow busy mums out

there who have very limited time to do anything is that this is a one minute

gradual tan so I'm very interested to see if this will work for me so I'm just

gonna read the instructions first because I'm not a frequent tanner it

says to apply to dry skin wait one minute shower and then dry seems quite

simple so let's give it a try

the water is rising the dam is breaking in

it was bound to happen because your heart is caving in

so why you bother this is nothing you can run from

so we're on to day two now and I'm ready to apply this again but before I start I

thought I'd run you through my first impressions of the application the color

and just the way that the tan worked for me generally so my first impressions

were really really great I was able to use my normal shower products my shower

gel no problems at all from what I can see today I've gotten no streaks and I

think it's giving me a nice glow I feel like because my skin is a little bit

more deeper and I will need the full three day to see the full effect but

this has definitely given my skin a little bit of a glow I've also done the

all-important white sheet test does it transfer onto white sheets and the

answer is no it did not transfer for me just even like rub my arms away legs and

as you can see nothing has transferred my sheets are very wide still so I'm

gonna get cracking now I'm just gonna put my hair up and reapply the tan for

day two

okay so we're on to day three now and I'm definitely started to see the

results it's amazing because I didn't really think that I was gonna see that

much of a difference on my skin even though I was hopeful I kind of thought

am I too olive for this product? am I really gonna see a difference and since

last night when the full eight hours after I applied the product finished I

could already see my skin looking a lot more glowy and it has this lovely

sunkissed look just something that I've never thought that I would see on my

type of skin without being in the Sun for a really long time it's really

interesting to me now that I've discovered that tanning products and not

just to make you look like you've been out in the Sun for ten days they can

actually just make you look glowy and healthy and just boost up your

confidence in general and that's exactly what it's done for me

I'm really really pleased so far so I'm going to apply it for the last day and

tomorrow we're going to reveal the results

today's the final day of the challenge and it's the reveal day and I could not

be happier with the results of this tan honestly it was a big surprise to me how

nice it was how easy to apply and the best of all for me is the color I really

love the way that the color came out on my skin I was very skeptical of being

completely and totally honest I was very very skeptical I've been left with a

lovely sunkissed glow to my skin it's very natural-looking I love that

it's gradual because it means that it takes away that pressure of if you

applied it wrong you're gonna look dodgy the next day it's not like that at all

it is very gradual from the second day onwards I could definitely see a change

in my skin tone and also I think what it did the most for me was even out my skin

tone throughout my body and make it look like I've got makeup on my body so

that's definitely boosted up my confidence and I can see this product

fitting into my daily life without a problem at all it doesn't take too much

time out of my day it's just easy and it's convenient and it's from a brand

that I trust San Tropez is the first name that comes to my mind whenever I

think about tanning products so I trust that they know what they're doing and

that in itself makes me feel a lot more confident and relaxed that I'm using a

good product one tip that I would say for using this products that helps me is

I would leave it for about four to five minutes in order to get a good color

because if you leave it for less than that you're probably not gonna see too

much of a difference if you have medium to sort of olive skin tone so that's

something that I found really helpful for my skin just to see the color

showing up more and my final tip would be to not forget your ankles because

I've got a little patch here where I forgot to put tanning product on my

ankle the good thing is that you can actually see that the curl

has come out if you compare that tanning patch to the rest of my body but I would

prefer if it wasn't there so don't forget your uncle's eye rates the San

Tropez gradual tan a 5 out of 5 and trust me I have been rattling my brain

to find a fault with this product just because it's so hard to give a product a

5 out of 5 but honestly I cannot fault it the most important things for me is

the fact that it's so quick and easy to use it fits in with my day-to-day

routine of a busy mom of two the second thing is the color the actual shades

that made my skin look it's so natural but it's this beautiful sunkissed glow

that I find so hard to find in other tanning products especially for my skin

color the third thing is that the application is made easier by the

product coming out white so you can see where you're applying it and that

prevents streaks so that was amazing and the last thing is the fact that it

doesn't ruin my bedsheets it definitely has a space in my life now and I will be

using it very very often I'm so glad I discovered this product it's something

that I didn't know I was missing until I found so what do you think will you be

giving it a girl leave a comment below and let me know what you think you can

How To Improve Your Skills As A Social Media Manager - Duration: 5:15.

- Hey, I'm Rachel Pedersen, the founder

of Social Media United, the leading social

media university for social media managers.

Today we're gonna talk about something that

I am super passionate about.

And that is developing and improving

your skills as a social media manager.

Easier said than done, right?

But, make sure you stay until the end,

because I have an awesome offer for you

with specific examples of how you can

improve your skills as a social media manager.

But first, let's dive on in.

Okay, so first and foremost, as a

social media manager one of the best things

things that you can do, is to grab attention.

It sounds kind of funny, but basically

your job is to get attention on your

client's eyeballs whether it's being goofy,

or educating, or entertaining, engaging.

There's so many different ways that you

are going to want to test out social media,

and what's working.

People love personalities, am I right?

I don't know, you tell me, are you still watching?

(laughs)

Okay, so I've got your attention, perfect.

One of the things that I highly recommend,

is to basically focus all of your attention

on grabbing attention, using social media.

My number two favorite way to improve

your skills on social media, is to

actually take on clients.

It sounds kind of crazy, but no

industry is off limits.

Try it all.

What you learn in one industry may

sharpen your skills for another industry.

Time and time again I see different

trends across all kinds of different

industries, and across the different platforms

which is kind of interesting.

Something you learn on Twitter,

might just be the golden ticket on Facebook.

You never know what's going to happen,

so get practice, and if you're wondering,

"How do I get practice, if I can't get clients?"

Well, talk to some people that you

know who own businesses, and try some

tests for them, offer to manage their

social media for a week, or a month

just to get your feet wet, so that

you feel super comfortable, and are

ready to test things out once it's time

to grab a client.

And my number three favorite way to

improve your skills is to commit time

every single day to learning something new.

Whether it's watching one of my videos,

or reading a blog, studying a book that

you really enjoy about social media.

Maybe it's something about psychology even.

Take some time every single day

so that you understand what is

working in social media.

There's no better way to understand it

quite like studying what is working, right?

And my fourth favorite way to improve

your skills in social media, is to

surround yourself with like minded people.

People who are passionate about social media

who are doing the same thing.

They're testing, they're trying,

they're grabbing attention,

they're studying the experts.

I think that this is so underrated,

but surrounding yourself with a community

of people is going to make you

feel supported, especially in a job

that sometimes can feel lonely.

When you're working from home or

working from, who knows where, right?

So, surround yourself with social media managers

who are committed to giving excellent

talent to their clients.

To recap, you want to grab attention.

This isn't just about putting a broadcast like

post out on social media.

Try things, and grab peoples attention.

Be dramatic, why not, right?

Number two, I highly recommend testing things,

in any industry, and if you don't have clients,

maybe ask some friends or family,

or even the coffee shop down the road.

If you can test a few things on their social media.

Number three, study the experts.

Find out what's working.

A lot of experts leave bread-crumb trails,

including their blog, their YouTube Channels,

just like what you're watching now.

Follow what is working so that you can

implement it and improve your skills

with social media.

And Number four, absolutely get yourself in

a community of like minded people,

so that you can perfect your skills.

It's so helpful, and makes all the difference

in this business.

But, I did promise something awesome to you.

I have an entire University, all focused on

supporting social media managers in

perfecting their skills as a social media manager.

In fact, there's over 850 people in the

community, supporting each other,

encouraging one another, trying and testing,

and giving advice, but there's also

over 80 trainings that will support you

in your process of social media management.

So, if you click the link below,

go ahead and grab access to all of this

for just one dollar.

You will not regret it, it will be

the best dollar you've ever spent.

Yes, it's even better than a candy bar.

So, hop on into Social Media United,

and I will see you on the inside.

And, if you liked this video,

be sure to give me a thumbs up

so that I know you're a fan.

Leave me a comment, and tell me what

you found most valuable, and subscribe

to my channel so that you get all of

my videos in the future.

I'll catch you later on

all things social, with Rachel Pederson.

The Definition of Binge Eating (Does It Apply to You?) - Duration: 5:27.

Samantha: What's up Phoenix and welcome to The Channel.

In this video we're going to be talking about if you actually struggle with binge eating,

and what binge eating actually is.

So many of you guys ask me all the time, you're like, "I'm just not quite sure if I actually

do so," with binge eating.

I'm going to break it down for you and show you step by step by step what binge eating

actually is to figure out if it's something that you struggle with.

Who am I?

My name is Samantha, and I am the founder of Hungry for Happiness, and I've helped thousands

of women around the world end their battle with food and your body.

If you want to fundamentally end your battle be sure to subscribe to The Channel and hit

the bell.

I release these videos every single Thursday to help you end the struggle with food and

your body.

Let's get started.

First and foremost, just ask yourself what is the intention for consumption?

What is your intention for putting food in your mouth?

There's two reasons why we do that: to numb our emotionality, which is out of fear or

to heal our bodies, to nourish or bodies, which is from a place of love.

Whenever you are eating and consuming ask yourself, "Am I doing this to numb my emotions

because I don't yet have the tools to be able to handle them?

Or am I doing this to nourish my body?"

It's a really clear way of look of looking at it.

The second thing, do you socially isolate?

Do you not show up at parties and say no to dinner plans because you don't want to be

around food, and friends, and have that whole chaos going on in your mind?

If your life is run by your relationship with food then there is some serious dysfunctionality

in that.

We should be able to use food for health, and hunger, and that's it.

Not for emotional reasons, and not for anything else, not to restrict, or to binge, nothing.

Food is designed to nourish our body so we have the energy to be the highest, best, and

most authentic versions of ourselves.

If you find yourself socially isolating or feeling like you need to sit on your hands

and not devour the entire plate of brownies check in with that and ask yourself what is

really going on?

Ask yourself the question, "What am I actually hungry for?"

If you are constantly just obsessing over food, and your body, and what you're

going to eat, and feeling guilty for what you ate before, and more than 5% of your day

is spent thinking about food check in with that.

Why are you obsessing over it?

What are you actually hungry for?

What is the fear in that?

Really get to the bottom of what is going on.

There is nothing worse than obsessing over something that gets to be so natural and is

a part of just being a human.

If you are obsessing over food and your body check in with that and ask yourself what is

really at the core here?

In a second here, I'm going to teach you the ninja strategy that I use when

I was coming over the battle with food and my body, but before I would do that I want

to know if you are in the 5 Day Food Freedom Challenge yet?

That is a five day challenge to help you end the battle with food and your body.

I provide you with a community, with videos, with exercise, with meditation, so if you're

not in there yet the link is below and I want to see you inside there.

My ninja strategy for this is being present.

When we're present, when we're growing grounded, when we're breathing into our bodies, when

we're feeling our emotionality we can't binge eat.

We binge eat when we're in a state of distraction, of overwhelm, of trying to figure everything

out, of trying to numb our emotions and run away from our emotions.

When we're present with our emotions, when we're integrated into our bodies we cannot

binge eat.

Ask yourself when you're in those states are you present?

Are you breathing?

Are you aware?

What are you trying to run from?

Ask yourself those questions just simply by asking those questions you will drop into

the present moment.

What happens is we live in the future, we live in time, we live out here, and it's so

difficult for us to be here when we don't consciously choose that.

Be here, be in your experience, and be present.

I'm really curious, I want to know what causes you to binge eat?

What is that thing that causes you to binge eat?

Maybe it's fights with your boyfriend, or friends, or family, or girlfriend, or whatever

it is.

What is the thing that causes you to binge eat?

I want you to write down in the comments below, what is that thing that always triggers due

to binge eat?

Can you, next time that happens, just be with those emotions, just feel into those emotions

and ask yourself, "What do I actually need right now?"

It's not about the food.

Binge eating is a mental and emotional issue, so we cannot diet our way out of binge eating,

that just simply doesn't work.

We have to feel to heal.

It is an emotional issue therefore we need emotional solutions to be able to actually

heal binge eating and overcome it.

I am excited to see those answers.

I'm excited to support you.

If you have any other questions about this content, any other behaviors that you're doing

that you're wondering if they're binging behaviors pop them in the comments.

I would love to answer them.

I would love to support you.

My intention is to create a community around this issue because so many people deal with

it and we need more support for it.

If there's an any other videos that you want me to make for you just let me know that as

well.

If you enjoyed this video please let me know by giving me a thumbs up.

If you did not enjoy it, also let me know by giving me a thumbs down.

I am super excited to support you on your journey to healing your relationship to food,

and we will see you next Thursday.

Bye for now.
