You don't have to hurt anyone.

No one is making you do this.

You're choosing to do this.

You and your friend chose to go into that bank,

you chose to take those people hostage.

And you know what?

You can choose to put your guns down,

you can choose to let those people go,

you can choose not to hurt anyone.

Look, up in the sky!

Hey, not even Pretty Boy Floyd got to meet Supergirl.

It'll be a fun story to tell your roommates in jail!

Supergirl...

I almost had him.

And I got you over the finish line.

10 Actors Who Took Movie Roles WAY TOO FAR! - Duration: 11:39.

- You know, there's method acting and then there's

forgetting who you are entirely and becoming the character.

(film strip clicking)

On October 29, 2008, Oscar nominated actor,

Joaquin Phoenix took method acting to a whole new level

when he announced his retirement from acting

at only 34 years old, saying that he wanted to be

a hip hop performer and rapper instead.

And he was dead serious about it.

Phoenix even appeared on Late Night with David Letterman

on February 11, 2009 in basically what has gone down

in history as one of the most bizarre interviews

of all time.

Sporting a beard and dark sunglasses, he chewed gum

and gave brief, monotone answers with Letterman

unaware of what was going on.

Later on, Phoenix eventually apologized

to the talk show host as all of this turned out

to just be an act for Casey Affleck's new mockumentary,

I'm Still Here, in which he played an over the top version

of himself.

He was reportedly so convincing, he had close friends

and relatives seriously concerned for his mental health.

You know what, I think I'm gonna do the same thing.

I gonna take some time off You Tube and start a rap career.

My rap name's gonna be Young Baldo, mix tape coming soon.

(film strip clicking)

Actors often have to change how they look

to suit a role.

You know, cutting their hair, wearing contacts, et cetera.

But, when you're Adrian Brody those things

just aren't enough.

No, this guy's gotta make all those other actors

look like sissies by quite literally risking his life

for his art.

When he took on Roman Polanski's 2002 drama, The Pianist,

the then 29 year old actor transformed his whole body.

Brody lost a whopping 29 pounds in order to play

the Jewish musician and practiced the pieces he played

during the film for four hours every day.

However, that still didn't seem to be enough.

Realizing the only was for him to effectively understand

what his character had lost, Brody really broke up

with his then girlfriend, really gave up most

of his belongings and his apartment in New York City,

and really gave away his phone, his car and really moved

to Europe.

But it was worth it because he won an Oscar

that year for his trouble, becoming the first leading actor

under 30 to take the prize.

Okay, well, if I get a role for Mr. Clean,

I'm gonna have to shave this beard.

Y'all gonna have to deal with it, I'm just saying.

It's method acting.

(film strip clicking)

Many people don't know that Cage actually developed

his own brand of new style of acting,

called Nouveau Shamanic and claims he's bored

with traditional methods and boy, is it something.

For Face Off, in which he plays John Travolta's character

when the two switch faces, Cage studied Travolta,

both through his work and in person.

He was caught many times staring at his co-star

and mimicking his movements, even when they weren't on set.

Then, for 2007's Ghost Rider, Cage tried to connect himself

to the spirit world through voodoo magic,

even painting his face with black and white makeup

and sewing ancient relics into his costume.

But by far the worst, while filming the 1984 war drama,

Birdie, Cage had two teeth removed just before

shooting commenced.

Though they were taken out by professional dentists,

thank God and not himself, the actor refused anesthetic

as he wanted to feel what his character would've felt

in losing them, using it to further his performance.

Nope!

I don't care how much pain is art, Matty like his teethies.

Matty gone keep his teethies.

That's gross.

(film strip clicking)

Now for a man who's been synonymous with method acting

for pretty much his entire career,

Dustin Hoffman has always taken on his roles

with devotion and intensity.

Which, actually wound up creating a feud

between him and Meryl Streep after he got her

what he thought to be fired up on the set

of 1979's Kramer vs. Kramer.

He did this by insulting her repeatedly

and slapped her in the face before every take.

Then, devoted to playing his part perfectly

in the 1976 thriller, Marathon Man, Hoffman

prepared for a scene in which his character, Babe

had been awake for three days by literally

staying awake for three days.

To be sure that he looked truly exhausted,

the actor decided to add in a four mile run

before arriving to set.

When co-star and screen legend, Sir Laurence Olivier

realized what Hoffman had done, he plainly asked the man

why he didn't just try acting,

claiming that it's much easier and safer.

Not a chance.

I don't care how cool the role is,

Matty needs his sleep.

Eight hours, every night, minimum and coffee.

(film strip clicking)

Before lung cancer caused his untimely passing

on May 16, 1984, Kaufman, at 35 years old,

had already made a name for himself, not only

as a regular on the sitcom Taxi, but also as an artist

who used his real life as his canvas.

Teaming up with professional wrestler,

Jerry the King Lawler, Kaufman convinced millions

that the pair were in a feud, even coming to blows

on David Letterman's talk show.

But where Andy really took it too far is when he became

Tony Clifton, a horribly offensive comic

and lounge singer who would often perform

as Kaufman's opening act.

Kaufman was so fantastically convincing at his craft

that people to this day even believed that he faked

his own death, with many of them certain that he's posing

as another celebrity.

Some people even claim he could be trying his hand

at politics and is higher up in the American government

than you might expect.

These people also believe that Tupac and Biggie

are still alive and as much as I would like that,

it's just conspiracy stuff.

Yeah, a little crazy.

(film strip clicking)

Before he was challenged to a cosmic dance off

with Chris Pratt in Guardians of the Galaxy,

38 year old Lee Pace played an injured stuntman

devoted to ending his life

in the 2006 adventure comedy The Fall.

Pace's character, Roy Walker, is paralyzed

and to really drive home the performances

of everyone involved, Pace, along with the film's director,

Tarsem Singh hatched a scheme in which nearly all

of the cast and crew actually believed that the lead actor

was paralyzed in real life.

Pace spent over two months pretending to be Roy,

a man who was in a motorcycle accident

and happened to have the same name as the main protagonist.

But on the last day of filming the scenes in the hospital,

Pace stood up to the shock of the cast and crew

and walked.

Though many of the crew members were understandably angry

over the ruse, Pace claimed he wouldn't change anything

about what they did as it made the film much more authentic.

(film strip clicking)

Art is obviously subjective and can be different

or even weird to each person watching

but if you think Shia wearing a bag over his head

and watching all of his movies back to back is strange,

try acting alongside him.

The 30 year old actor went without showering

for four weeks on the set of the 2014 war drama, Fury,

much to the dismay of his fellow actors.

He even went so far as to drop LSD while filming

2013's Charlie Countryman, shortly before choking

his director, Fredrik Bond, and needing his trainer

to restrain him until he calmed down.

(mumbling)

What you say about my mama?

But where the actor may have really gone too far

was when, before shooting a scene for Fury,

Labeouf decided the work his makeup artist

was doing to make his face look wounded wasn't enough.

Yeah, you know where this is going.

The actor reportedly had a tooth removed and cut gashes

in his own face to make the wounds look realistic.

Okay, there's dedication and then there's just

(shrieking) crazy devotion.

(film strip clicking)

For pretty much every performance that the actor

has ever given, he's done everything that he can

to become as close to the character as possible.

While filming My Left Foot in the late 80's,

Lewis insisted that he be treated as if he were

a spastic quadriplegic, even having food spoon fed

to him while he was in a wheel chair.

Then, he only ate what he tracked, killed, and skinned

with his own hands while filming Last of the Mohicans.

And then there was the time that he moved out of his house,

living separately from his wife so that he could understand

isolation from loved ones for the 2005 drama,

The Ballad of Jack and Rose.

He even spent a number of nights in true isolation,

locked up in solitary confinement in an abandoned prison

to understand the hardships his character endured

in the 1993 bio-drama, In the Name of the Father.

The characters Day-Lewis becomes leaves him needing

long periods between films which is why he only makes one

every two to five years.

Now you know.

(film strip clicking)

Many actors have stepped into the madman character,

the Joker, but few have taken their antics to the levels

of the Academy Award winning actor, Jared Leto,

which he did for 2016's Suicide Squad.

The 45 year old performer did his best

to modernize the look and personality of the character,

going as far as spending time in a real asylum

while talking to residents there.

Spending a few nights in a real prison cell

and maintaining his psychotic clown persona all day.

The actor would even walk around the streets of Toronto,

hiding in crowds, while he practiced the chilling laugh

of the Joker to see how much it freaked out

the people around him.

(chuckles)

He did.

He really did.

But what crossed the line for many of his co-stars,

were the gifts Leto would send them.

Carried to their trailers and homes by real life henchmen

Leto hired to carry out his tasks for them,

the presents would always be gross or inappropriate

such as a dead pig or even a used condom.

Yup.

(film strip clicking)

For Christopher Nolan's 2008 superhero masterpiece,

The Dark Knight, the director tapped 27 year old

Heath Ledger to play the iconic Batman villain.

This, only to be met with severe backlash

by internet comments and postings as to just how terrible

the actor would be in the role.

But of course, as many of us now know,

Ledger was outstanding as the clowned prince of crime,

preparing for the performance by literally

going into isolation in a London hotel room

for an entire month where he wrote a diary

and kept speaking to nobody in the voice

that he'd settled on.

In other words, he truly became the Joker.

Many people believe that his turn playing

the psychotic clown was what directly led

to his tragic and untimely demise via an overdose

with prescription pain killers which was compounded

by an earlier role as an addict in the movie, Candy.

Either way, method acting may have brought about

the loss of a truly amazing talent.

Thanks a lot to you guys for watching this.

Does IQ Really Measure How Smart You Are? - Duration: 6:03.

When people talk about smarts, Intelligence Quotient or IQ always seems to come up.

People love to bring up how Einstein had a genius-level IQ of 160.

And to join Mensa, you need to have an IQ of at least 130.

But is IQ even a good way to measure intelligence?

Well, that depends on how you define intelligence.

IQ scores may be a useful shorthand to talk about education strategies for big groups

of people, like when discussing public policy.

But IQ can be affected by a lot of factors, even things as subjective as your motivation

while taking the test.

The first sort of IQ test was invented by the French psychologist Alfred Binet in the

early 1900s.

A law in 1882, aimed at egalitarianism, said that any healthy child had to go to school

and learn the basics, like: reading, writing, arithmetic, history, public policy, and the

natural sciences.

The law even included special consideration for children with disabilities, like deafness

or blindness.

But the French government acknowledged that not every kid would able to keep up with the

normal curriculum, for lots of possible reasons.

So, Binet and other psychologists were commissioned to create a standardized test to measure how

different kids handled their schoolwork.

Along with Théodore Simon, Binet developed the Binet-Simon test – in which children

would answer a series of questions until they couldn't anymore.

That way, kids could be grouped in classes with students with similar scores, instead

of relying on their age or the subjective judgments of teachers.

In the next decade or so, this scale was revised for use with both kids and adults and renamed

the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales.

This popular IQ test is still used today, along with other standardized tests that are

meant to measure learning ability – sometimes defined as how quickly and easily we learn

new things.

On early versions of the test, IQ was calculated by taking a person's score on a standardized

test, dividing it by their chronological age, and then multiplying the result by 100.

In more modern versions, you're basically ranked against other test takers.

The scores of a group of people are scaled so that 100 is the average, and your IQ score

is determined based on where you are in relation to that average.

But here's the thing: whether or not IQ tests actually measure your intelligence depends

on how you're defining intelligence.

In simple definitions, intelligence is the ability to learn new things or adapt to new

situations.

But the definition can also include the ability to use logic or reason, or to think abstractly.

These definitions are all focused on intellectual capacity, which is how intelligence is defined

by the American Psychological Association.

And they don't include other kinds of intelligence, like social or emotional intelligence, or

things like creativity, or self-awareness.

The Stanford-Binet test, for instance, focuses on testing five main categories of information:

baseline knowledge, basic mathematics, visualizing objects in space, working memory, and fluid

reasoning – or the ability to solve new problems.

So, depending on what you're trying to understand about someone, IQ tests might be useful, or

they might be a waste of time.

It also turns out that your IQ score can be affected by a lot of different things – and

because intelligence is so complex, we're not sure how strongly different factors might

affect it.

There's some evidence that says cognitive abilities are somewhat heritable, meaning

there might be some kind of genetic component to IQ.

But it's not that simple!

Recent studies have shown that IQ tests are affected by motivation.

For example, one 2011 meta-analysis found that people who are offered cash if they do

well on an IQ test scored higher than people who weren't offered anything.

Like, up to 20 points higher for just a 10 dollar reward.

That's a huge effect!

And we know that motivation can play a role in other things, like your grades and your

career path, that could be wrongly chalked up to just an IQ score.

IQ also seems to be affected by environmental factors.

Cultural values can influence your IQ scores.

For example, a kid who grows up in a community that prizes storytelling might do better on

verbal sections of the test, or problems that require you to remember and reuse information.

How much education you get – and the quality of that education – may have an effect,

too.

Kids who miss school because it's hard for them to get there, or who attend schools without

many resources, tend to score lower than their peers.

Even your family environment can affect your IQ, like whether you grow up in a low-income

household or whether you experience a lot of trauma as a kid.

So, like a lot of things, IQ seems to result from a mix of nature and nurture.

There are just so many factors that affect your learning ability as you grow up – from

the environment you develop in before you're born, to things like education opportunities

and family dynamics.

But psychologists seem to agree that one thing that seems to help people with learning and

academic achievement is thinking about intelligence as a thing that can change.

So IQ tests aren't anywhere near perfect or comprehensive, but they can help us predict

how people might learn in the near future, which can make a difference in the support

they receive.

For instance, IQ scores can affect diagnosis of intellectual disability, which can inform

public policy about education programs to support different students.

It's understandable why it's valuable to have a standard way to sort-of measure

intelligence, like when it comes to making these general policy decisions.

But it's also easy to see why IQ tests have been surrounded in controversy, too.

There's a lot we don't understand about intelligence, and a lot that an IQ score can't

tell us about a person or groups of people.

So while IQ can be a useful shorthand in some cases, it is not something would set in stone

and do not let a number define you.

Donald Trump Lies To The Public An Average Of Once Every 5 Hours - Duration: 4:59.

This past weekend, we hit Donald Trump's 100th day in office, and so the Washington Post

took it upon themselves to let us know just how many times the president has lied to us

in those first 100 days, and the numbers should shock you.

According to the Washington Post, Donald Trump now holds the record as the president who

lied to the American public the most during their first 100 days in office.

Essentially, given the amount of time he's been in office, Donald Trump has lied to you

more than any other president considering time served.

He has lied during those first 100 days 488 times, which comes to an average of 4.9 lies

a day.

Every five hours Donald Trump tells a lie to the American public, on average.

Now, obviously there are some times where he goes a few hours, a few longer than that,

without telling us lies, but we have also had at least four days, according to the Washington

Post, with Donald Trump in office where he has told more than 20 lies to the American

public.

Folks, this isn't normal.

This is not normal behavior.

It's normal behavior for a sociopath, but not for a sitting president.

Donald Trump has a very real problem with telling the truth.

Do you know why?

Because he has to feel better about himself.

That's the only reason we're getting these lies, is so he feels better and looks better.

It's not even like he's lying about things that are inconsequential.

You know, he tells us lies about stuff Obama did, and he takes credit for some of the good

stuff Obama did.

Why?

So he can feel better.

You know, he tells us that he is the one that negotiated the deal with Ford so they didn't

move their production to Mexico.

That deal had been done six months before the election, but he still takes credit for

it.

This man is a sociopath.

He has a very real problem with honesty, and to be honest, he shouldn't be able to be president

of the United States.

We have got to put some kind of stricter controls in place to prevent people like this, these

sociopaths, these psychopaths, from being able to become president.

If Donald Trump applied for a job at any other company in the United States that he doesn't

own, he wouldn't get it, or if he did work for another company, he would be fired shortly

after because of his inability to tell the truth.

Yet, instead of being punished, we've put him in the highest office in the land, a man

that lies to you on average every five hours.

Do his supporters care?

No.

Do they know he's lying to them most of the time?

Yeah, but they still don't care.

We have seen polls that say that Republicans understand that Trump is not being honest

with them, but they still support him.

Now, there have been some that have woken up and they understand, "Wow, I screwed up.

I should not have voted for this guy.

He is dangerous," but for the most part, most of the people who voted for Trump stand by

that vote, even knowing information like this, knowing that in 100 days he told 488 lies.

This isn't normal, folks.

This isn't normal behavior for a president.

This isn't acceptable behavior for a voting public.

We have got to have better voter education in this country, but furthermore, people have

to actually care about things.

It's one thing to be educated, but it's another to care about it.

You know, these people understand Trump is lying to them but they don't care.

We've got to get to the root of those problems.

We have to understand why they don't care.

Is it because they think he's going to bring their jobs back?

Well, no.

They know that's a lie.

Is it because of the border wall?

Maybe.

Is it because he tapped into the racist heart of America?

Possibly.

Whatever that reason is, we have to figure that out, and we have to fix it, because people

shouldn't be okay with being lied to by their president.

People shouldn't think that's acceptable.

Think of how low Donald Trump has lowered that bar for who can be president in the United

States, and then think about how disgusting future presidential elections are going to

be because we've allowed this man, who is incapable of telling us the truth, to run

our country.

How to Make Mom-osa Cupcakes for Mother's Day - Duration: 2:43.

Hey guys, it's Stephanie from Wilton!

Mother's Day is right around the corner

and Wilton has a great new recipe for

you to share with your mom. It's called

the "mom-osa" cupcake. It's a different

take on a mimosa drink. It's easy and

delicious the perfect gift for Mom, and

the best part is we get to pop a bottle

of champagne. Alright, let's do this! Oh

best sound in all the whole world! Well we'll

clean that up before we get started. We

are going to start with one white cake

mix, four egg whites. Now the reason we're

using egg whites is we want to keep the

batter nice and white. We don't want that

yellow color to it. A third of a cup of

vegetable oil, and one and a quarter cup

of champagne. (This is as you pour it in I

love it!) We're going to mix it at a low

speed for thirty seconds and then turn

it up to medium and mix it for two

minutes.

Okay when your batter is done, go ahead

and fill up your Mega Muffin Pan. This

recipe makes 24 cupcakes. Bake them in

your oven at 350 degrees for 18 to 20

minutes. To make the icing, cream together

one stick of butter and 1/2 a cup of

shortening. We want to beat those until

it's nice and smooth and combined. Now

that that's combined, we're going to add

four cups of confectioner's sugar but

just add it one cup at a time. You're

going to notice your icing looks a

little dry after you add your four cups

of confectioner's sugar. This is where

we're going to add in 3 tablespoons of

fresh squeezed orange juice and a

teaspoon and a half of orange zest. Now

let's mix this together. If your icing

still looks a little dry, you can add in

a little bit more orange juice or water.

Go ahead and beat your icing until it's

nice and smooth. Once it's smooth add 2

drops of Orange Color Right. If you want

a more vibrant color, go ahead and add

more. Best part about cleanup, you get to

drink more champagne!

Once your icing is done, go ahead and

fill up a bag prepared with a 1M tip,

we're going to decorate our cupcakes

with a 1M rosette. To add a little

sparkle, we're going to sprinkle them

with some white sugar. Our cupcakes are

almost done we just have one final step

and that's to add in a little bit more

champagne flavor. So we are going to be

using Wilton's Shot Tops. I'm using the

little bottles, so what we do for this

is we take a shot top,

cut off the end, not too much just a very

little bit,

squeeze it, place it in some champagne

and then release, stick it in the cupcake

and then right before you go to eat it

squeeze it and you get that rush of

champagne flavor. And now we're done! Now

you have a delicious treat to share with

your mom for Mother's Day. Baking for

your mom is a great way to show that you

love her. In the comments below tell me

what you're going to be doing this

Mother's Day, you can also check out the

link below for more recipes and ideas

for Mother's Day from Wilton. I'm

Stephanie, thanks for watching!

How to Hang Drywall – Drywall Installation - Duration: 2:26.

Hanging drywall is a multi-step process

that an experienced DIYer can do with

a little help. Here's an overview of

what's involved. Keep in mind that

drywall sheets can be difficult to carry

and maneuver. Get a helper or a dry wall

panel lift. You can rent one at The Home

Depot Tool Rental Center. Hanging drywall

horizontally will result in fewer seams

to tape. And they'll be at a convenient

height. Control drywall dust with plastic

sheeting at doors and by shutting off

the AC. And always use a dust mask and

eye protection. Before starting, mark stud

locations on the ceiling to help when

driving this drywall screws. When hanging

your first panel make sure to measure

and cut so that the end will wind up in

the middle of a stud. Also, you should

always start in the center and work out

across the top, driving your screws 16

inches apart into all studs. You'll hang

the top rows first and then finish with

your bottom rows. You'll continue hanging

full sheets as before by butting them

snugly against the others. But, make sure

to avoid seams lining up with door and

window corners. What about things like

windows, doors and outlets? You'll be

doing a lot of measuring and cutting for

these, so plan ahead, take your time, and

be sure to have all the right tools and

materials. And keep in mind the old

do-it-yourself mantra: measure twice, cut

once. You'll save yourself a lot of

frustration.

One tip that will help the finished look

of your room is to not align seams. In

other words, begin your bottom row of

drywall with a shorter panel and the one

already in place above it. That way the

seams between the panels in each row

will not align directly above each other.

Also, leave a slight gap between the

floor and the drywall so the drywall

won't be affected by slight bumps in the

floor. Baseboards will cover that later.

And don't forget your metal corner bead.

You'll be attaching that to the exposed

corners to protect the drywall. When all

your drywall is hung, you might want to

take a break because your work isn't

quite done. You'll still need to do your

joint work to hide your seams. Obviously

this is just a brief overview of the dry

wall hanging process. For more detailed

information on this and many other

popular projects, check out the DIY

projects and ideas section of homedepot.com

Good luck and thanks for shopping at The

Nissaga de poder - Mariona and Ines 23 - Duration: 13:40.

Do I look like I'm pregnant? No.

Let's see.

Just a little bit.

Great, the guy with who I slept with didn't notice it either.

Will you come to the reading of the testament? No.

Don't you want to know what dad has left us? No.

I do.

I hope that Amadeu doesn't get nothing.

Always Amadeu.

What's the matter? It was you the one that gave me the idea to take revenge.

I regret it now, seeing what you are doing...

Don't you feel strange to sleep with someone you don't even know?

And even more if you are pregnant. I wanted to do it and that's it.

Besides, I was not worried at all, I couldn't get pregnant because I already am. Laia.

You act like a moralist? It's not moralism. Yes, it is.

And I'm surprised that precisely you...

That precisely me what? Nothing, I don't want to argue.

No, no, tell me.

Mariona, stop asking questions.

What did you do, with who you went? It's like an interrogation.

I just wanted to do it and I want to have fun, that's all.

What you meant Laia?

Do you want to know it? Ok, I'll tell you.

You're lesbian right? So don't give me moral lessons.

I don't know what one has got to do with the other. Yes, I like women, but I don't sleep with a different one every day, and if I don't do it is because I don't want to.

I don't have to demonstrate nothing to no one.

I love Ines and that's it.

I can see that she is paying a lot of attention to you right now.

Stop that or we'll have an argument.

Do you come or not? No, I don't.

Damn, have you thought about the child?

You'll have to tell him how do you see the world and you...

Shit Laia.

I want you to open your eyes and that you realize that you are not a kid anymore.

That you've to think with your head.

Do you know what's the matter? That you envy me. Me? Why?

Because you'll never be able to have your own kids.

Mariona, I was looking for you. Me?

Why do you need me? The envious, the lesbian.

Come on Mariona, sorry, I didn't know what I was telling the other day.

Do you forgive me? If you ask me well.

Come on, leave it, you are not here to apologise.

No, I was looking for you because...

I was in the reading of the testament and...

do you know that you have the 2% of the share of the company?

Yes, I know that.

Do what? Even if you didn't want to come, don't try to convience me that you don't give a shit about it.

Come on, I'm sure that you've already started thinking about how you'll spend it, right?

You should be happy. Happy?

Don't you see it's so unfair. Why?

Gabriel and me are twins.

But I see that the tradition of put women aside in this family is very important.

The heir, the heir above all.

I don't mind the money, it's about the gesture, and this is an insult.

I'm fine with it, less problems.

Do you have to yell at me for something else? No.

In fact...

I've came to explain something else.

Dad...

has recognised Eduard as his son.

Can you believe it?

Now we are sure about it.

Eduard is our brother.

That's not a surprise.

No, we already knew, right?

Laia, what's the matter? Nothing.

Laia, I know you, talk.

I don't know Mariona, I...

I knew that Eduard was my brother, mom told me.

But I can't stop seeing him as the man of my life.

Now...I'm happy that dad has recognised him, but...

but I don't know...it's ridiculous, right?

Sometimes I thought we weren't brothers.

I hoped that it was not true.

That someday he and me...

and now I'm sure it can't be possible.

It will never be possible.

That's why you don't stop making nonsenses?

You still love him, right?

I will always love him.

I will love him as if he was not my brother.

Hi Mariona. What's that so important you've to tell me?

You should have come to the meeting.

If you'd seen Amadeu, he proposed Gabriel as the new director.

He just wanted to suck him up.

We are lucky that Gabriel is smart...One moment please, let me listen.

What is it? A casette tape that Ines has sent me.

She has sent it all the way from Colombia?

Her voice has changed, right? This are sound of the jungle.

And what does she say? Nothing.

Nothing? She hasn't written you any letter?

A short note and this casette tape.

Do you like it Mariona?

This is what I hear every day since I arrive here in Leticia.

Leticia? It's in Amazonia, next to Brasil and Perú.

Right now I'm in Amacayacu river.

You should see this trees.

40 meters hight, and they have some names...

(Tree names).

The birds are really pretty, of impossible colours, and the biggest tortoises in the world.

They are called Charapas.

And when I look at them, they remind me of you. How nice. No offense.

It's a joke, I'm sure you are annoyed. She knows you well.

I think a lot about you.

But the tortoise are not the reason.

Everytime we've shooted something important, I felt I needed someone to share it with.

And that someone can just be you. Damn girl.

We are celebrating the final shooting with some friends of Mataró (town near Barcelona), what a coincidence right?

That are working for Intermón and Manos Unidas.

The situation of the indigenous tribes is so hard.

Illness, alcoholism.

They are so great but...

I don't like the idea of coming here just as a tourist and going away with just some memories and photos.

I've decided to stay here. What?

Not forever. Just some time.

Here...they need help.

I guess you can imagine it, I can't go leaving them like this.

I just ask you one thing, wait for me.

I don't know when, but I'll come back Mariona.

Wait for me my love.

Wait for me.

Wait for me...

Come on Mariona, she is not going to stay there forever.

Maybe this will be good for your relationship, when you see each other again...

Anyway...I'm saying nonsenses.

I think so.

What will you do?

I've had enough.

If she thinks I'll wait for her, I'll not.

Well done. What was she thinking about?

If she can't appreciate what she has left here...

Besides Mariona, you are talented, you're nice, you have the 2% of the share.

Look, we could live together and when I have the child... Laia, what sre you saying?

You are saying that you'll not wait for her, right? Of course not.

So you tell her to go to hell, right?

No. I'll not wait for Ines, that's true.

But I'll go were she is.

What restrains me here? Job? Family?

After what dad did to me, and also grandma.

I've had enough of this, I love Ines and I don't want to lose her.

I'm going to Colombia.

Mariona, have you thought about it?

In Amazonia...you are used to a comfortable life here.

I want to be with Ines. And can't you wait until she comes back?

Colombia it's not a safe country.

Have you got vaccinated? Yes.

You are going away in the worst moment, we've things to solve here.

Maybe some months ago, but now it's all clear.

Even if it hurts.

Mom is worried about who will be the director of the company.

We still don't know who will direct the company and you have both interests on it.

A 4% of the shares are yours.

Mom, I don't mind who will be the director of the company.

But Mariona, your vote is important.

Sides, arguments, I don't want to be a part of it.

Your father keeps bothering me after his death.

And also to you both... Stop it, please.

I don't know why are you so worried about the company. It is so difficult to understand?

Yes.

You have money, you are young.

Why are you losing your time with this?

When will you come back? I don't know.

What will you do with the apartment?

Laia will stay there.

No, I don't know yet.

What do you mean? I don't want to be alone. Alone?

You've forgotten that you are at least one and a half.

Two and a half, Laia has also me.

And other people. If he wanted to forgive someone...

Mom, when you talk like that I also want to leave this town.

And why don't you do it? Where could I go?

The only person I want will not ever wait for me.

When are you leaving? This night.

I'm a little bit nervous. Have you said bye to grandma?

No, I've told Asunción to do it for me.

I didn't want to see her.

And I guess she doesn't want to see me, maybe when I come back.

Mariona, I can believe you are leaving.

Crossing the ocean to be with your love, it's so...

Laia, you think that life is like a novel and it's not.

A novel like this one? "La hoz y la luna."

This is the one...? This...

It's from the woman with whom Enric has fallen in love.

I don't know how can you read one of her novels.

She is a good writer. It's true, Ines also likes her.

You can say what you want, but if I were you I would go where Enric is and try to seduce him again.

I would not... Ay Laia, you annoy me.

Why do you talk to me like that?

Because you are going to have a child Laia, and you are still a kid.

You are a spoiled brat that doesn't know nothing about life.

You have to grow up Laia.

You've made many mistakes, you can't make a lot more.

You talk like that because you are sad now. I'm sure that if Enric...

No, no Laia, some things are not possible.

I accept that Mariona goes to Colombia to be with Ines, they love each other.

But it would be crazy that I did the same with Enric.

This story is over.

Listen, I've to go. I still have to prepare everything.

Mariona...

Aunt, can I borrow the book

Now you read?

As you say it's so good.

Ok, take it.

Maybe you'll understand why it's better that I forget Enric.

Well, see you...I don't know when.

Mariona, if you don't write or call me often, don't come back here again.

Don't worry, I'll do it.

2015-2017 F150 Ford Performance by Borla Sport Cat-Back Exhaust 3.5L EcoBoost Sound Clip & Install - Duration: 5:56.

Hey, everybody.

I'm Justin with americantrucks.com, and this is going to be my detailed review and install

of the Ford Performance by Borla Sport cat-back exhaust system, available for your 2015 and

newer 3.5L EcoBoost powered F-150.

So the Ford Performance by Borla Sport system should appeal to the EcoBoost owners out there

who have some money to drop on a top-quality system, you're really digging that dual-split

rear exit configuration, and you want the tone to be very aggressive in the process.

Aside from that dual-split rear exit configuration, prospective buyers can look forward to one

of the most unique tips in the category, thanks to the rectangular black chrome options, featuring

that Ford logo.

This system is going to be on the expensive side, at the mid-$1,200 price point, and will

get a strong one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter from me, as some owners

might need a trim, depending on your wheelbase.

But nevertheless, we will have some more on that later on.

But since this is an exhaust video after all, let's dive head first into the sound profile

you can expect when bolting up the Sport system.

As I pointed out earlier, guys, this one is pretty strong overall.

So I'm not going to waste any time.

I'm going right to my "Wake the Neighbors" scale, where I have the Sport coming in at

a rather robust four out of five on my one to five, or "one to wake the neighbors" scale.

[00:02:03] [silence]

[00:02:08]

In my opinion, the Atak from Borla and the Outlaw from Flowmaster both will be a little

bit louder than this system.

But this is certainly worthy of an honorable mention.

Now, if you're digging everything about the Ford Performance by Borla Sport system, except

the volume, check out the Ford Performance by Borla Touring instead.

You're going to be getting the same quality, same configuration, just minus a little bit

of volume.

So now that you guys have a better idea of what to expect when it comes to the sound

of the Sport system, let's get onto the construction and materials.

Believe me when I tell you guys, the Ford Performance by Borla stuff is very much a

premium offering, not only in the actual construction itself, but also those materials.

You're looking at premium-grade 304 stainless steel, the best material money can buy when

shopping for an aftermarket system.

Materials aside, you are looking at the straight-through by design Sport Series muffler and resonator

by Ford Performance and Borla, of course.

Piping is 3-inch initially here, before stepping down to 2.25-inch tubing, all mandrel-bent.

Finally, everything is going to exit out one of the most unique tips in the category, these

black chrome rectangular tips embossed with that Ford logo.

But obviously, all of that high-quality materials, construction, build quality, all that good

stuff, it does eventually add up, as you are going to be looking at the $1,200 price point

for the Ford Performance by Borla Sport system.

Putting it in line with some of the other premium options in the category, from Corsa,

of course, and also the standard Borla stuff as well.

But switching gears, let's talk about the install here briefly.

On the topic of a premium exhaust system like this, one of the things that you might not

always factor into that premium price tag is the ease of install.

What I mean by that is this thing practically put itself together on our F-150, despite

the extra material and extra hangers that are included with the kit.

Very straightforward stuff, even though there is some small amount of cutting needed, depending

on your wheelbase.

So that's why I'm sticking to one out of three wrenches on my difficulty meter, and maybe

an hour or two from start to finish before you're making some noise.

Now, if you do need to trim that initial piece of pipe according to Ford Performance, just

make sure you have a cutting tool on hand.

Our preferred tool of choice is a Sawzall, a fresh metal blade, some eye protection,

but you can use anything you have in the shop or garage.

In addition to that, a basic socket set, a cordless impact or impact in general will

certainly speed things up.

Then, finally, some spray lubricant will help you with those rubber hangers.

Before getting started with the install, you need to uninstall that factory cat-back first.

So loosen up the forward-most clamps, slide the system back off the hangers, and drop

the entire cat-back in one piece.

Just be careful.

It is one piece.

It can be a little big and bulky to move around by yourself.

Once that factory system is out of the way, you can get to work installing the new Sport

system from Ford Performance and Borla.

Now, if you do have to cut, I'd recommend doing that first on the workbench or in a

vice, just to make life a little bit easier.

After you've made your cut or if you don't have to cut, you can get to work hanging this

system from front to back.

Save your final tighten up to the very end, guys.

Because Ford Performance and Borla, they do throw in some extra hardware, some extra exhaust

hangers, to get that extra tailpipe in place.

This way it'll allow you to move the system around a little bit with those clamps slightly

loose before really hammering down with your socket set or your impact gun.

After everything is tightened up, your installation is complete.

The Ford Performance by Borla stuff continues to be one of the nicer options in the category

from a material and build standpoint.

The Sport here certainly is going to help deliver plenty of volume on the outside while

being relatively quiet on the inside of the truck.

Wrap it all together with one of the most unique tips in the category, and you've got

an awesome system for the $1,200 price point.

So guys, that is my review of the Ford Performance by Borla Sport system for your EcoBoost, which

you can grab right here at americantrucks.com.

English Slang Lesson - How to Use "Chill" - Duration: 2:24.

What's up guys! My name is AJ! Welcome to AJwave!

In this video I am going to explain the word "Chill"

I am going to explain how to use it in a slang context and a formal context

Lets go!

The formal definition of "chill" is when something is cool or cold.

or chilly

Not completely cold or frozen....

When a person has "the chills"

The chills is when a person is shaking or shivering due to an illness.

For example, it can be hot outside and you are shivering ... you have "the chills"

Chilly....

"it is chilly outside" means when it is not too cold outside... moderately cold.

"it is chilly"

"chill with"....

"Chill with" is when you are with someone or "hanging out" with someone.

"Hey i am going to chill with Steve" = I am going to be with Steve

"I am going to chill with Lisa" = I am going to be with Lisa.

Chill with...

You can also use "chill" to describe a person.

"Jason is chill" = Jason is calm and cool

Nothing bothers Jason

"Jason is chill"

Chill means calm

You can also use "chill" when talking about food in the refrigerator

"Hey man! I have some beers chillin in the fridge"

"I have some vodka chillin in the fridge right now"

"take it out for me please"

"Chillin in the fridge" = it is getting cold in the refrigerator.

"Netflix and chill"

"Netflix and chill" is when you stay home and watch Netflix with your boyfriend or girlfriend.

Most likely you will cuddle under a blanket or in a bed.

You can also use chill" to describe something that is "cool"

Like music or a movie

"have you seen the new star wars movie?"

"Yes! It is chill!"

"have you heard about this singer called AJWave?"

I like his music! It is "chill"

Those are some of the many ways to use "chill"

There are probably several other ways to use chill"

I hope this video helped you! Please subscribe to my youtube channel.

Kardinaal voor de arbeiders ~ Jozef Cardijn (1882 – 1967) - Duration: 6:43.

It was not like it is now.

Many people don't understand that.

They see a powerful movement today:

unions, cooperatives, health insurance. A strong labor movement.

People don't know how hard it was 70 years ago.

We need to remind today's leaders of the pioneers.

So they might learn from them.

Joseph Cardijn asked not to forget the pioneers of the workers' movement.

50 years after his death, we now commemorate him as one of those pioneers.

As a child he experienced all those difficulties.

He delivered coal to people's homes using a small dog cart.

The poorest families in Halle could not afford even the smallest bag.

Most children went to work in factories at the age of nine.

12 hours a day.

Many used to sniff ether.

Sexual abuse abounded.

His own parents took different jobs to make ends meet:

an unsuccessful grocery shop,

growing and selling vegetables,

a local bar where people discussed strikes and demonstrations,

the small coal business.

Mornings and evenings small groups of workers

tramped in their clogs from their village to the station and back.

There were strikes and demonstrations in Wallonia.

Activists came to give speeches.

Nearly all were socialists.

Except Father Daens.

As a young lad, I sneaked into the crowd to listen to his political speeches.

After his first communion it was time for him to start work in the factory as well.

He was eleven.

He should be happy that he went to school two years longer than most kids.

The evening before he started work, Joseph left his bed.

He begged his father to be allowed to study and become a priest

It was a huge sacrifice for the family Cardijn.

Ten years later, his father died.

At the age of 53.

'He worked himself to death', they said at the time.

He swore at his father's death bed to fight for social justice as a priest.

At the time Joseph was studying at the seminary in Malines.

For his former school buddies who now worked in factories

he had become a friend of the capitalists.

My former comrades, smarter and more devout than me,

had turned against the Church.

They didn't want to have anything more to do with me.

It was a dagger in my heart.

I examined the causes of this loss and promised for the rest of my life

to work for their salvation.

But for Cardinal Mercier, the young priest was a social utopian.

He sent Cardijn to Waver to teach Latin to bourgeois kids.

Five years later he finally got his chance as a priest in a Brussels parish.

He travels the country by train and tram to set up study circles for young workers.

The Young Christian Workers YCW becomes a university of life

for tens of thousands youngsters who can not study.

Some "kajotters", as they are called,

become well-known political and union leaders.

The YCW wanted to teach young workers

to discover, understand and solve their problems by seeing, judging and acting themselves.

In the international movement of organizations, young workers learned

to be leaders, propagandists and directors.

This did not happen without opposition.

Cardinal Mercier and the Belgian church hierarchy

were opposed to an independent organization for Catholic workers.

They wanted to bring together all Catholic youth together in one organization,

The Belgian Catholic Youth Association.

As an image of the unity of the mystical body of Christ.

But also in a paternalistic reaction.

They saw the YCW as a threat.

Cardijn sought support in Rome.

While Daens was not received by Pope Pius X,

Cardijn managed to meet with Pius XI.

When the pope heard that Cardijn faced opposition in Belgium,

he assigned him to lead the international YCW.

Pope Pius XI saved the YCW.

After my conversation with him in Rome,

the pope acknowledged in a special audience

that the YCW was his way to re-evangelize the working class.

The pope said:'The first apostles of the workers will be workers themselves.

The YCW is an institution of the Church.

It is my institution.'

In 1935 and '50, 100,000 YCWs from 50 countries assembled in Brussels.

In '57 more than 30,000 young workers from all over the world made a pilgrimage to Rome.

These were the precursors of World Youth Day.

At 83, Cardijn resigned as the chaplain of the International YCW.

Pope Paul VI responded by making him bishop and cardinal.

Cardijn's first reaction.

Impossible!

I can't go against my vow to give my whole life to the working class!

The scarlet soutane and all those other Cardinal's things

go with a certain mentality

and are tied up with the honours people are expected to give you.

In the end you think you are God because you are dressed in red!

But the Pope reassures Cardijn

And told him he did not need to come to Rome to die as a cardinal

but continue to defend the YCW around the world.

May Day | VEDIM - Duration: 3:48.

Emergency emergency!!

Nah, it's just May Day. Eyyy!

Hello, I'm Rogan and welcome! It's the first day of May plus the first day of VEDIM!

Why did I say May Day?

It's a traditional spring holiday in many cultures, and an ancient springtime festival.

It's also International Workers' Day, also known as Labor Day, or Labour Day in some countries.

I'll give some history about both of these days.

May Day's earliest celebrations were pre-Christian, in Roman times.

It was a festival called Floralia, named after the Roman goddess of flowers, named Flora. [shock]

There was also Walpurgis Night, celebrated in Germanic countries.

It was actually a traditional summer holiday, because in pagan cultures, May 1 was the first day of summer.

Later on, as Christianity took over, May Day became a secular celebration, with maypole dancing and crowning the Queen of May.

Since the 18th century, many Roman Catholics observe this, plus the whole month, with devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Art, school skits, etc, will decorate or put flower crowns on Mary.

In 1955, Pope Pius XII chose this date for a feast to honor St Joseph as a counterpoint to the communist International Workers Day celebrations.

That was a really great segue, eh? Eh?

Anyway.

International Workers' Day, also known as Labor/Labour Day in some countries.

In the US, Labor Day was first made an official holiday by Oregon in 1887.

It happens on the first Monday of September.

By 1894, thirty states officially celebrated Labor Day and it was made an official federal holiday.

Internationally, May Day was formally recognized as an annual event in 1891 at the second congress of Second International.

Second International is a pan-national organization of socialist and communist political parties.

The date was chosen to commemorate the Haymarket affair that happened in Chicago on May 4th, 1886.

This day was intended to demonstrate on the first of May for the legal establishment of a 8-hour work day,

class demands of the working class, and for universal peace.

May Day has been a focal point for demonstrations ever since its establishment.

It's also a very important holiday in communist countries.

Examples include the People's Republic of China, North Korea, Cuba and the former Soviet Union (USSR).

There's A LOT more info about both of these days online.

Wikipedia, for both, has a whole list for how various countries have traditionally celebrated it and how they do it now.

I would suggest you look at those if you want more in-depth information.

That's all for today! This miiiiiight be the last time you see this set-up.

I'm not moving (yet). You'll see what I mean. Eventually.

I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for watching, and since this is VEDIM, I'll see you tomorrow!
