So today.... I thought I'd try shooting a regular life vid in this room
I got some news to tell you guys
tadaa! I got this little meowzers
Just look at how cute he is
I've wanted to have a cat since forever ago
But I never really went ahead and bought one
It is taking another life into your hands after all and you shouldn't approach something like that so lightly
But I had this dream recently
In my dream there was this cat and it had these flipped back looking ears
And check this little guy out
Can you see how his ears are
This type of cat is called an American curl
It's curled back ears are what make it so unique
And when I saw my dream I was like.......
oh so... its a sign that I am supposed to go out and get a cat
So I searched around to see if american curls were available here in Tokyo
And there was one close by
And I went out to see him
I even held him in my arms And I even thought this might perhaps be the one
but ..... it was really cute but...
and it did lick me and was so cute I was like omg its so cute are cats supposed to be this cute
But I felt that this was not the one I was meant to be with
and so I was weighing my options for a while
And so later when I was looking online
And I saw a picture this little guy And his little face was so darn cute
I totally fell in love and so I went to go meet him
And once I held him in my arms I knew she was the one for me
and so... I know some of you might not care
Just recently a person named 'Hikakin' bought a cat
I went to go meet this cat the morning of the release of his video announcing his purchase of a kitten
And I made a decision to pick this one
And right on that exact same day Hikakin made a video announcing that he bought a cat
I was shook I was like am I copying him or something?
That is totally not the case. please don't say that you guys. Just looking at these little critters aren't they so cute
but.... please don't think like that It is another life that you're going to be in charge of
You really have to want one of these before you take on such responsibility
This little guy is called an American curl
but these youtubers called PDR and Mimei also have an american curl
I never knew much about this sort of cat I've only heard of things like Russian Blue scottish fold and others
I never knew that this type of cat existed called American curl
I only knew about this variety of cat that had flipped back ears in a round about way.
PDR and mimei's cat called Suga is also an american curl and its a tiny black kitten with swept back ears
its super cute
I probably saw that and it was stuck in my brain And that's probably the reason why I dreamt of this cat
I totes thought it was destiny or something but It was probably just me remembering that cat
It was all things to 'shuga' that I was able to meet this little kitten... I'm so thankful
ayyy.... you've spent the whole video ignoring the camera... you ain't no youtuber at all
the name....
I've been thinking long and hard about it even before picking her up
Her name is 'Lon'
Lon "ron" sounds like a boys name doesn't it she's not a boy she's a girl
over there look over there
Even before bringing her back my thoughts were always about her.... wondering what is she up to right now
There really isn't any meaning behind her name I just saw her face looks like a "Lon"
don't she look like a Lon when I told my friend they said that it totally looks like a Lon
My friend told me that in French that Lon can also mean 'luck'
I'm not sure if it's due to the american curl breed but this little guy is so affectionate and loves to play
she loves to eat as well
she does bite and scratch but does it so lightly and lovingly that it doesn't hurt at all
I don't think I'll put up any videos of my cat
This is just an announcement video and that is why its here
Aside from this I don't believe I'll put anymore vids of my cat on my main channel here
I'll probably put videos of her on my second channel

I was thinking.... mother cats lick their kittens like this I feel that if you recreate that feeling the kittens really respond to it
she purrs right away the thing that is super cute is when she is on your tummy
she starts to massage it right away
It seems like it's one of those things that kittens tend to do
Apparently it's a sign that kittens give that they want some of their mother's milk
so lets play a bit with Lon
she loves this thing
we got her attention
She plays a lot and she sleeps a lot as well
Just when I think she's asleep shes up and ready to play again

When raising an animal It is taking another life into your own hands
You really can't take this lightly
I spent a long time wanting to Have a pet but I stayed away from getting one on a whim
There's been quite a lot of people getting cats recently
its a boom in Cat ownership
Despite being a little cat she really is affectionate to humans she must love humans
she's so smart And she already learned how to go potty
I plopped her next to the litter box and told her that's your toilet and she took to it
she doesn't get into trouble either
It's her favorite spot
She loves taking naps there
look at that scary face

It's all right now that she's a kitten But it might hurt when she's grown up

This photo is so important to me
because it shows that comedy photography
can be a creative collaboration.
My name is Idil.
I am an Art Director and Photographer.
So, when I first started out in the comedy industry,
all the comedians seemed to fall
into certain categories of wacky comedy photography.
They all kind of looked on white backgrounds
and comedians were shrugging
and looking wacky
and it didn't ever reflect
all their different types of comedy
and their different personalities and their different backgrounds.
I wanted to collaborate with them,
so that the final photographs actually represent them properly
and actually is an extension of their work
and their creative process.
I worked a lot in improvised comedy
and it's amazing how much overlap there is
between the rules behind improvised comedy
in a photo studio, during a photo shoot.
When you are taking a portrait,
there is two of you in the room
collaborating as equals, working together,
then you're inventing something out of nothing.
I think some people use 50 mm,
some people prefer a 105 mm lens,
but I finally got my dream lens,
which was the 85 mm f/1.4.
I find that 85 mm is a perfect distance
between the photographer and the sitter.
I think if all comedians are photographed the same,
then they will never find those wonderful fan groups of people
who absolutely love their comedy
and that bridge, that's where I want to work
to allow and facilitate the comedians
to find their fans
and for the fans to find their comedians.

Welcome to the Class of 2022 - Duration: 4:24.
I've always wanted to come to U of M I wanted to come here for undergrad but my
parents didn't want me to move out. They said I could move out when I went to
grad school and I want to be a dentist and U of M dental's the best in the
nation and it's literally always been my dream school so there was no other
choice when I got accepted. Coming from Arizona,
Arizona's really hot, about 110 degrees summers, wanted a new environment
Michigan's always my family's loves Michigan so I'm ready just to go blue!
Michigan for dental school is a pretty easy choice for me because I went here
for undergrad, so that was pretty straightforward. Also in-state tuition is
definitely a a big part of that as well. And just the Michigan brand entirely I
love Ann Arbor and I'm just, I'm looking forward to another four years here.
Because of the reputation, because of the diversity and also the faculty and research.
I am a first-generation college student, both my parents are immigrants
so I'm a child to immigrant parents. My dad's from Cuba and my mom's Honduran
so diversity was a big factor for me coming to a school. It's nice to have
different backgrounds and be exposed to different types of people.
I chose Michigan because of course it's ranked very high. I'm from the South
originally but when I came for my interview I saw how how encouraging
everyone was how how happy everyone was to be here, other dental students, staff
and faculty. Everyone seemed to love Michigan so much,
everyone said go blue and turns out now I'm saying go blue and I'm enjoying it.
It's been a lifelong dream of mine to follow in my family's footsteps of dentistry,
I come from a long line of really strong women who all went to U of M so I'm really excited to follow in their footsteps
So I'm originally from California,
and I've really been comfortable my whole life and I've been
familiar with my surroundings I really wanted to do something new and get out
of my comfort zone and Michigan is beautiful, Ann Arbor is beautiful and it's
nothing like where I've lived before for, so. It's time for me to do something new.
You know just felt like a good fit everything I've heard says the community
is great and you know all the people I've talked to here seem really
friendly and nice, so.
I came to University of Michigan for several reasons,
the main one being diversity. I'm from a small town in Alabama and I
went to an HBCU for undergrad and it was really important for me to be able
to be around people who don't look like me, and from different parts of the
country and the University of Michigan had that.
It just seemed like a great program,
my in-state school wasn't really that appealing that me so I was looking to
try something different and I came here for my interview and it went well and I
liked everybody so was a good fit.
When I graduate initially I think I want
to do some type of global outreach work do some things around Central America
and Africa and then hopefully come back home get into a practice
somewhere and start my career.
I see myself doing something for the community
I just graduated from the Public Health school and I think that I would
like to continue doing something in public health with public health dentistry.
I think once I'm done I'm hoping to join a private practice my
grandma and my mom and my aunt all work at an office together so hopefully I can join them.
I chose Michigan because it's an awesome school,
I went here for undergrad I love Ann Arbor and I'm only 30 minutes away from my parents.
When I graduate I want to go
straight into practice I'm gonna always want to own my own business however I do
know that I will need to practice with someone else probably to get acclimated
to owning my own business so I want to go straight into helping people as soon as possible.
When I graduate from dental school I'd
like to be involved in the education for other dental students so I don't know if
I want to specialize or anything but if I did like maybe go back and teach in
the specialization or like work with undergrad dental students.
Really live on that go blue spirit and you know take it back to Montana and
hopefully start my own practice.
So I'm actually applying for the Air Force Scholarship,
their three year one, so I'm hoping if that all goes well
and I get into that I'll be going into the Air Force somewhere.
I love to travel so if I could go to one of their bases in Europe or
something that that would be great.

New Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas's former assistant-coach at Free State Stars‚ Bradley Carnell‚ says given time the workaholic and intelligent Italian can be a success at Amakhosi.
Carnell recognised that Solinas walks into a tough situation at Chiefs‚ where‚ after Steve Komphela's three years of rebuilding without a trophy‚ the coach is under pressure for silverware.
And Solinas has only ever won one notable trophy‚ the North African Cup Winners Cup with ES Setif in 2010.
Ex-Bafana Bafana star Carnell echoed the recent sentiment by Stars' general manager Rantsi Mokoena to TimesLIVE that Solinas is a workaholic.
"Listen‚ I think you have to look at his values as a coach and what he believes in‚" Carnell said.
"He's very structured‚ very organised‚ very disciplined.
We were the first guys in the office at Free State Stars and we were the last guys who switched off the lights.
"In terms of effort‚ planning‚ daily logistics‚ we managed to make do with the platform that we had.
"I think it's very difficult to compare [to Chiefs].
We had everything we needed at Stars‚ we had a great little setup there.
"But just in terms of budgetary numbers and the stature of the club‚ compared to Chiefs with a magnificent facility – I think at Stars Giovanni made do with what he had.
"He got guys working with the second team‚ and with youngsters like Nyiko Mobbie‚ giving them a fresh look.
And players like Lucky Mohomi have gone on to do very well.
"In terms of player development and player guidance I think we did a great job.
"There are higher demands at Chiefs.
But in terms of qualifications Giovanni has all that's required to run a club.
"I've seen him work in the flesh.
And from the tactical point of view we got the nickname of 'The Italian Job'‚ in terms of being structured and giving bigger teams with bigger budgets a run for their money.
"He was able to read opponents pretty well and he transferred that to the players well.
He took control of a lot of things in terms of what he wanted to see on the field‚ whether it was from the fitness coaches‚ the assistants.
"He was able to delegate and we were able to implement.
"Now he comes to a club now where he's got great people involved.
In the setup‚ he's got all the stats and the data guys right on his doorstep.
"The question is‚ has he been given the best possible chance to succeed? Has he been given the best timeframe to succeed?" Current New York Red Bulls assistant Carnell provides an interesting perspective on Solinas's arrival at Chiefs.
He worked with Solinas at Stars in the 2015-16 season when they reached the Nedbank Cup semifinals and ended 12th in the Absa Premiership.
Carnell also has a taste of what it is to coach at a big club having worked as Muhsin Ertugral's assistant at Orlando Pirates.
He also knows intimately what a big club Chiefs are‚ having played there in the 1990s.
Carnell also worked with some top global coaches in a 12-year playing career in Germany's Bundesliga.
"I mean only time will tell.
But I know Giovanni is going to take it and run with it‚" the former left-back said.
"And if he manages to sort out the style and the system he wants‚ and he has the players in the pool in terms of implementing his style‚ it could work.
"Listen‚ it's going to be a tough one to start.
"But in terms of his capacity‚ he will do everything.
"He will switch off the lights at night.
He's a very proud man.".

The Lankans reeled off a century and seven 50s in conditions that‚ while obviously Asian‚ weren't anything South Africa hadn't seen and succeeded in before.
Worse‚ the home side were dominant enough to win both Tests inside six days of playing time with their spinners claiming all but three of South Africa's 40 wickets.
So having a few new faces to look at — faces that haven't been moping around the dressingroom these past few weeks — will do the visitors good.
It should also help that the pitches for the one-day series‚ which starts in Dambulla on Sunday‚ won't be quite as spin-friendly as those prepared for the Tests.
But they will still be sub-continental pitches and South Africa will have to remember how to win on such surfaces.
In their previous ODIs in Sri Lanka‚ three of them in July 2014‚ Hashim Amla scored two centuries and AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock a hundred each.
De Villiers also made a half-century.
Four years on De Villiers has retired‚ Amla is a fading‚ faltering star and De Kock hasn't scored a century in his last 23 Test and ODI innings.
Imran Tahir and Ryan McLaren were South Africa's top bowlers in 2014 in terms of wickets as well as economy.
Neither is involved in the current series.
So that promised "fresh energy" will be more than welcome: it could be South Africa's main weapon to try and ensure the five ODIs don't melt into the kind of Groundhog Day gloom that made the Tests depressing to watch even from an ocean away.
With the World Cup only 10 months away‚ that's a memory they won't want to take home.

So today.... I thought I'd try shooting a regular life vid in this room
I got some news to tell you guys
tadaa! I got this little meowzers
Just look at how cute he is
I've wanted to have a cat since forever ago
But I never really went ahead and bought one
It is taking another life into your hands after all and you shouldn't approach something like that so lightly
But I had this dream recently
In my dream there was this cat and it had these flipped back looking ears
And check this little guy out
Can you see how his ears are
This type of cat is called an American curl
It's curled back ears are what make it so unique
And when I saw my dream I was like.......
oh so... its a sign that I am supposed to go out and get a cat
So I searched around to see if american curls were available here in Tokyo
And there was one close by
And I went out to see him
I even held him in my arms And I even thought this might perhaps be the one
but ..... it was really cute but...
and it did lick me and was so cute I was like omg its so cute are cats supposed to be this cute
But I felt that this was not the one I was meant to be with
and so I was weighing my options for a while
And so later when I was looking online
And I saw a picture this little guy And his little face was so darn cute
I totally fell in love and so I went to go meet him
And once I held him in my arms I knew she was the one for me
and so... I know some of you might not care
Just recently a person named 'Hikakin' bought a cat
I went to go meet this cat the morning of the release of his video announcing his purchase of a kitten
And I made a decision to pick this one
And right on that exact same day Hikakin made a video announcing that he bought a cat
I was shook I was like am I copying him or something?
That is totally not the case. please don't say that you guys. Just looking at these little critters aren't they so cute
but.... please don't think like that It is another life that you're going to be in charge of
You really have to want one of these before you take on such responsibility
This little guy is called an American curl
but these youtubers called PDR and Mimei also have an american curl
I never knew much about this sort of cat I've only heard of things like Russian Blue scottish fold and others
I never knew that this type of cat existed called American curl
I only knew about this variety of cat that had flipped back ears in a round about way.
PDR and mimei's cat called Suga is also an american curl and its a tiny black kitten with swept back ears
its super cute
I probably saw that and it was stuck in my brain And that's probably the reason why I dreamt of this cat
I totes thought it was destiny or something but It was probably just me remembering that cat
It was all things to 'shuga' that I was able to meet this little kitten... I'm so thankful
ayyy.... you've spent the whole video ignoring the camera... you ain't no youtuber at all
the name....
I've been thinking long and hard about it even before picking her up
Her name is 'Lon'
Lon "ron" sounds like a boys name doesn't it she's not a boy she's a girl
over there look over there
Even before bringing her back my thoughts were always about her.... wondering what is she up to right now
There really isn't any meaning behind her name I just saw her face looks like a "Lon"
don't she look like a Lon when I told my friend they said that it totally looks like a Lon
My friend told me that in French that Lon can also mean 'luck'
I'm not sure if it's due to the american curl breed but this little guy is so affectionate and loves to play
she loves to eat as well
she does bite and scratch but does it so lightly and lovingly that it doesn't hurt at all
I don't think I'll put up any videos of my cat
This is just an announcement video and that is why its here
Aside from this I don't believe I'll put anymore vids of my cat on my main channel here
I'll probably put videos of her on my second channel

I was thinking.... mother cats lick their kittens like this I feel that if you recreate that feeling the kittens really respond to it
she purrs right away the thing that is super cute is when she is on your tummy
she starts to massage it right away
It seems like it's one of those things that kittens tend to do
Apparently it's a sign that kittens give that they want some of their mother's milk
so lets play a bit with Lon
she loves this thing
we got her attention
She plays a lot and she sleeps a lot as well
Just when I think she's asleep shes up and ready to play again

When raising an animal It is taking another life into your own hands

I spent a long time wanting to Have a pet but I stayed away from getting one on a whim
There's been quite a lot of people getting cats recently
its a boom in Cat ownership
Despite being a little cat she really is affectionate to humans she must love humans
she's so smart And she already learned how to go potty
I plopped her next to the litter box and told her that's your toilet and she took to it
she doesn't get into trouble either
It's her favorite spot
She loves taking naps there

It's all right now that she's a kitten But it might hurt when she's grown up
and so this was the announcement I seldom ever shoot vids in this room anymore

'Irasshaimasé!' Hi guys, today I'm going to be talking to you about one
of my favorite books of the year and potentially my book of the year.
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
This book is mind-blowingly good. It's been translated by Ginny Tapley Takemori
She's done a fantastic job of bringing this book to life for
Western readers. It's published by Portobello Books and it's a really, really
thin one which you'll get through in an afternoon.
And it's basically about this quirky little woman who just has a part-time
job in a supermarket and she's had this job for 18 years and she loves it. And
that's all she knows and she doesn't really have a life outside of it and
it's about her running with like a new colleague who's just the polar opposite
to what she is because she is the convenience store woman, her job is
her life. This book is beautiful, it's absolutely beautiful. It's
essentially the Japanese Eleanor Oliphant except it is way smaller. So
it's only coming in at a hundred and sixty odd pages so hopefully like the next
translation that we get from Sayaka Murata will be a bit longer because you
do just finish this book and you just want more of this character and you want
to know more of her weird little rationalizations. She talks a bit about
her childhood and the character knows straightaway that she's a bit odd and
she's a bit offbeat. So she just finds comfort like dealing
with all these different people that come into her convenience store and she
takes her job really, really seriously. But this book is a gem
like a total gem, which is bit cliche but it's lovely.
Anyway the author, Sayaka Murata, she was voted as like Woman of the Year in
Vogue Japan in 2016. She is gonna be a big name
in Japanese fiction, she's raised the bar. If you like Murakami, if you like Hiromi Kawakami,
those sorts of authors, you will just love it and this book
just leaves like like a nice taste in your mouth.
And it makes you feel a bit warm and it's not cynical it's just a
real breath of fresh air when it comes to Japanese fiction.
So check out Convenience Store Woman, it's out now. Go and get a coffee and I
guarantee it will be your book of the summer.

I'm not going to advise you to first study design theory for years, and to read hundreds
of books.
That might be a good alternative if you intend to become a professional designer and design
teacher.
But if you are going to use your skills to market your own business, then it is probably
much better and more fun to learn by doing.
Spend a lot of time collecting ideas, download or bookmark pictures and films that you find
stunningly designed.
Analyze what you like in them and how it is done.
Get inspiration from the very best when you start producing your own pictures and products.
A great way to test your pictures while also promoting your business is to post different
versions of your designs in Facebook groups and ask people to choose the one they like best.
Another tip is to join Facebook groups for designers, where you can ask questions, discuss,
and give helpful advice to others.
And there are many many free courses, YouTube videos, and tools which will help you improve
your graphic design skills.
