They are very mature, and the girls, more so than the boys,

They do a lot of makeup.

Girls and boys are really careful about each others feelings.

When we were young, the youth was not that nice.

When do girls in Japan do makeup and look so mature?

In primary school. - Yes the TV said that.

In primary school they do makeup and dress fashionably?

So what age would that be? - From when they are twelve.

From as early as 12 they start it.

I couldn't even think of that.

I didn't wear makeup until recent years.

That's quite impressive.

Is there anything you don't envy them for?

I think starting makeup a little bit later isn't a bad thing.

There will come a time when they all have to wear makeup.

It's a waste to wear all of that when their skin is still so beautiful.

And the damage. - Lots of damage.

They use eye crease glue and fake lashes and that damages your eyes.

In younger years it's beautiful to have natural skin and eyes

It's a waste to already hide that behind makeup.

When I was in middle school I wanted to wear makeup too.

But that damages your eyes. If you keep doing that...

you get wrinkles from doing that so early.

It's a shame to do it early.

They should show their beautiful skin that they have in their teens and twenties.

Looking at the girls, they have so much freedom of fashion.

No matter what you wear, they won't point their fingers at you in Japan.

If you wear different clothes abroad, you stand out.

They have cool clothes.

But if you wear Harajuku like cute clothes, you stand out the wrong way.

On that note I really think youth these days has more freedom in Japan.

You can wear many clothes.

Well in Tokyo you can do that but other places...

In the big cities it's tolerated.

But if you go to the countryside, you stand out the wrong way.

I think it's great that they have that freedom.

What do you think of the young Japanese women.

Young women. They say what they want to say straight out right.

I am already over 80. If you lived my life...

Young people nowadays think differently.

The young people nowadays don't think so much about other people.

They only think about their own things, and I don't understand where they are going with that.

The way women women think has changed?

Yes. The generation right now is really different from the old generation.

Scholarly wise, the ones who get further are translators and such.

My children are in America right now.

So when the Olympics come to Japan soon...

those young people will be able to help everyone again.

So the young people should give their best during the olympics. - Yes.

Over there my kids speak about 4 languages there.

Which all seem to be more towards their character.

Many comments this time we got about girls and their appearance.

They are more mature, they wear makeup pretty early,

It seems to be less about girls character but more about looks.

Former Navy Secretary Ray Mabus bashed President Trump's move to prevent transgender individuals

from serving in the military, as the president's effort hits the one-year mark.

"That strikes me as the dumbest government policy you could possibly pursue and it weakens

us and hurts our military," Mabus said Thursday evening at the Veterans in Global Leadership

event in Washington, D.C.

Trump in July 2017 abruptly announced on Twitter that he would ban transgender individuals

from serving "in any capacity" in the U.S. military.

The Obama administration had ordered the military to begin allowing transgender troops to serve

openly in the U.S. armed forces, with a year of review beforehand — during which Trump

made his announcement.

Mabus, who served as head of the Navy under former President Obama from 2009 to 2017,

said in the year the Pentagon looked at the effect, cost and impact on the military in

allowing transgender service, the conclusion was that "overall it would be a positive

thing."

"To have that reversed in a tweet with no evidence, no thought, nothing, it's breaking

faith with the people who are willing to serve," he said.

The administration's transgender ban has been blocked from taking effect while it is

debated in multiple courts.

Transgender people may continue to enlist in the military until the opposing parties

go to trial, expected in April 2019.

Mabus, who was known for his progressive stance while Navy secretary, pushed for the repeal

of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy applying to sexuality in the military and

opened all jobs to women.

"I have this notion, that if you can do a job, the only qualification to get that

job ought to be the ability to do the job.

Color or race or ethnicity or gender or who you love, or what your sexual identity is

ought to be irrelevant.

Who cares?" he said.

The former governor of Mississippi recounted being approached by a Navy medic who was on

his third deployment.

"He said, 'I've been scared to death, the whole 11 years that I was going to be

found out for being gay and kicked out.'

"

"Three combat deployments, risking his life everyday with the Marines and yet his biggest

worry was he was going to found out as being gay and kicked out," Mabus said.

"How bad is that?

And how much weaker does that make our military?"

Mabus also didn't mince words when speaking his opinion on Trump's tendency to tweet

major policy changes or military threats, seemingly without the input from top national

security officials.

"It worries me that we have a president who makes decisions by whim and by tweet about

how we're going to use our military," he said.

"I think the military has the right to expect that before we commit … that somebody's

thought about it, it's been really carefully planned, that we're not just doing it because

it's what we think makes us feel good at the moment.

That worries me," he said.

Chapter 7 Lecture 2 - Duration: 3:53.

Hello everyone.

This is our 2nd and last lecture for Chapter 7 – Four Distributions

In this lecture video, we will introduce briefly the F-distributions and chi-square distributions.

So, let's talk about F-distributions.

Like z and t-distributions, the F-distribution is a continuous probability distribution.

Like the t-distribution, the F-distribution is a family of distributions.

Unlike z- and t-distributions, the F-distribution is positively skewed (or skewed to the right).

The shape of the F-distribution depends on the degrees of freedom associated with the

numerator and denominator The total area of an F-distribution equals

1.

As degrees of freedom increase, the distribution becomes less spread out.

The F-statistic is calculated as a ratio of two variances, each with its own degrees of

freedom.

The larger variance is usually the numerator of the ratio; so the F-statistic is usually

> 1.

The F-statistic compares variance between samples to variances within samples.

This is known as Analysis of Variance (more on this in Chapter 12).

The chi-square distribution, like the t- and F-distributions, are a family of distributions

with total area of 1.

Each chi-square distribution is determined by its own degrees of freedom.

Unlike the normal and t-distributions, but just like the F-distributions, chi-square

distributions are positively skewed (or skewed to the right).

The shape of the chi-square distribution depends on its degrees of freedom.

The value of chi-square is always positive.

And as degrees of freedom increase, the chi-square distribution becomes more symmetrical (more

on this in Chapter 13).

Before we move on to the next chapter, just a quick review and some connections.

There are many theoretical distributions, both continuous and discrete.

We use 4 distributions a lot: z (or standard normal) distribution, t, F, and chi-square.

Z and t distributions are closely related to sampling distributions of sample means

because we are comparing sample means to population means.

F and chi-square distributions are closely related to sampling distributions of variances

because we're comparing sample variances to population variances.

The next video lecture is on Chapter 8 – Confidence Intervals, one type of inferential statistics.

NHL 19 Ones Tips and Tricks (NHL 19 Beta) - Duration: 4:46.

Heys guys, welcome back to the channel and today I'm gonna be teaching you guys some

tips and tricks on how to win the new NHL ones mode in NHL 19.

Of course, I don't have the full game right now so these tips are mainly towards the beta,

but they will also apply to the full game when it comes out.

So I've been playing a lot of ones and I've sort of developed a strategy on winning consistently

and also giving yourself the ability to compete in every game.

First and foremost, I'm not saying this will win you every game or make you a top player

automatically.

At the end of the day, I'm a goalie and I'm pretty much just playing this mode for fun.

The first few tips are going to be general gameplay focused, but at the end of this list

I'm gonna show you guys some set plays that you can do and moves you can make to swing

the game in your favor.

But enough talk let's get right into it.

So my first tip is gonna be that you're going to want to get comfortable with the forehand

glide and the backhand glide.

Even though it's not technically stickhandling, it's the move you're going to want to go with.

As you can see in the gameplay, most of the time you're going to have a player really

getting up into your face, and since tripping isn't a thing in ones, you're able to glide

really easily.

You COULD protect the puck but it can be silly sometimes and I overally just find gliding

to be more effective.

One way you could get more comfortable with this is practicing it in versus or EASHL.

I'm assuming that 90% of you can already do this pretty well but it's something you're

gonna want to be very good at My second tip is that you're gonna want to

try and limit the amount of stickhandling you're doing.

You could try and be a dangle god but you're gonna get hit a ton and you'll lose the puck

a lot.

I'm not a fan of going for loose puck dekes at all because everyone in ones is super defensive,

so they're not likely to go all in for a pokecheck like they would be in EASHL.

My favorite move to use is the spin-o-rama or the toggle backskate button because it

allows you to switch directions so quickly and precisely and the defenders won't catch

on.

Of course this takes a lot of skill, so you're gonna want to practice getting the timing

down beforehand or else you'll make yourself look silly.

My third tip for ones is that you want to try and outpace your opponent's while keeping

your energy bar reletively high.

The easiest way of doing this is when you have low energy without the puck, just stand

still for a few seconds, you'll be amazed how fast you regain energy.

This does run the risk of being scored on, but it's not that hard to score an answering

goal so you're fine.

As for outpacing your opponents, it may sound obvious but you want to move faster than them.

What this means is that when you have the puck you're always moving and making moves

at a high speed so they wont react fast enough.

Use up all your energy if you have to, because it's pretty easy to get it back.

This is where being good at gliding comes in.

Gliding at a high speed is virtually impossible to stop, so why not take advantage of it.

For my next two tips I'm gonna break down a strategy for scoring consistnetly, and then

a really weird strategy if you're losing.

The next tip is a set play you can do if you see the oppourtunity.

Basically whenever there's a race for the puck and you aren't involved, someone will

get hit.

In ones, you stay on the ice pretty long after being hit, so when contact between your opponents

is made, one of them will usually end up on the ice for a few seconds.

If you time this right, right after your opponent knocks your other opponent over, you can come

in and knock HIM over, leaving both of your opponents on the ice, whily you have a free

shot.

This won't always work, but if you time it correctly you can get a free shot or maybe

two if you're fast enough.

It's not that hard to pull off, you just have to know when the situation presents itself.

My last tip is an odd one if you're losing, but hear me out, it'll make sense.

My tip is that if you're losing, you should pass the puck to another player for them to

score.

It sounds weird but if one of your opponents has 3 goals, the other opponent has 2 and

you have 1, it's a good idea to pass to the player that has 2, so they can tie it.

If you didn't know, if two players are tied it goes to a golden goal-like OT.

I was a basketball player growing up and actually just picked up a racquet at a local park like this and

Playing against the kid was happy to be number one of my high school

And I was rolling with them and I started to just really love the game

And I ended up beating him and then joining my high school team. My just my senior year and having is pretty solid record

University for four years number one singles and doubles and then

All right out of high right as I played like on your high school team go play University

I managed to get number one in the university mess. That's some like good athleticism

We think like the basketball kind of played into like your skills on the tennis court

Still very rough

Looking at your strokes looking at my strokes. I can tell you they're playing. Well your stories probably a bit different than mine

But I am Who I am everybody should just own the player that they are and try to get better

It's not it's a lifelong sport attack, you know, if you're watching this video right now, you know that

Either you're you're either gonna try to play tennis soon or you've been playing it. It's an addictive sport yet and

I try to get better at everyday not only on the word physically

You know a lot of you have to be fit to play this at a high level

and a lot of people are

Things I'm on social media. Now as far as fitness, it's free material, you know all night

I'd like never try to make a dime off of like the stuff. I'm posting on YouTube

Spread the word of tennis and like share what I know so that other people can go on the court and like enjoy themselves

I find that you can tell me your experience

But I find that when I do try to get people involved

They often go out and try to play like with one of their friends who are inexperienced

And then they come back to me and say all tennis is too hard. We had like a couple tennis balls

we spent all of our time chasing tennis balls and does it's not for us and

That's why I'm posting this stuff is to get people

To teach them how to how to get started in the sport to learn a little bit

So they're not just kind of going out there and shooting tennis balls over the fence and going home after you know

I think that's like the biggest barrier is like just getting people in there and being able to rally

They kind of see what attracts

Yeah, that's the goal. You know, everybody wants know rally if it wants to run around and stay, you know, stay in shape

in Florida, we have kind of clinics and kind of opportunities and the weather 24/7

Yeah plays a huge role, but I encourage if you don't have a partner and you

Really want to grow your you know grow your skill. Thank a lesson

It doesn't have to be a private get a friend do a semi-private get on the ball machine get on the wall

So let me ask you a question

You got your camps going on right now. Yeah, how are those going so far? We're super busy this year

It seems to be getting busier every year, which is what I like to see

We're seeing a lot more interest and I actually attributed a lot of the excitement and interest around tennis

Especially in Toronto to the tennis stars that we've got right now

We've got Miller on it who has made it to world number three, which was like incredible for tennis, Canada

And now we have the 19 year old. Is he 18 or 19?

So now that the kids actually see that there's people coming from all people coming from Canada and doing well in, Tennessee

It inspires them in it's possible to actually make something or you're still playing tennis in Canada. Definitely. Yeah, yummy, you shuffle family myself
