Fifteen minutes is a long time! Long time for Randy Santel. Yeah
Hey everybody this is Randy Santel 'Atlas' with Atlas &
Zeus Promotions and proud owner of foodchallenges.com! Very very excited
tonight! I'm going for overall with number 563 I'm just outside of San
Antonio, Texas I'm in Helotes, Texas I am at Bobby J's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers
I'm taking on their Godzilla Burger Challenge! Now this thing is massive and
the challenge is that you only have 15 short minutes to finish this thing, but I
am here with my friend, introduce yourself! I'm John, all right he lives
here in the San Antonio area obviously with his giant muscles and Spurs
Jersey, but yeah we've got 15 minutes to finish this thing there is three pounds
of beef and then there are a whole bunch of healthy vegetables there is lettuce,
tomato, pickle, onion, and I think some mayonnaise on the top, but we got to
finish the bun too but luckily no fries or signs but we've got 15 minutes if we
win we're gonna get the about 35, 37 dollar meal for free,
we'll get sweet t-shirts to add to our collections and we'll be one of the few
elite people on the wall of fame, are you ready? Right, alright let's get this
challenge started!
All right we've been sizing this thing up thank you to Bobby J's here in Helotes
Texas for letting us take the challenge finally, eating with this big guy he's done
quite a few of the randy santel fast food $20 value menu challenges, and he's
dominated them! He's done most of the San Antonio ones too so we are both trying
to not only beat the 15 minutes but the record here is 13 minutes and 25 seconds
45 seconds. He may know because he has the record so he's going to try to
beat it and then obviously I am too but let's shut up and eat! 1, 2, 3. . . Boom!
Alright this is broken up into like five patties they said so let's eat some beef!
Dying over here! I keep thinking you are!
Seven and a half minutes in we're halfway through the time limit let's go
you got it!
Last few bites! I got murdered!
Destroyed! That's why he's professional.
With 2:30 remaining! They say time stops as soon as all the foods off your plate
so I swallowed at 12 minutes and 38 seconds but with their time the official
record for the Godzilla Burger Challenge is 12 minutes and 30 seconds, so he is
going to take the rest home as leftovers he will have to pay $35 for the meal but
what'd you think of it? It's delicious just like last time! Delicious burger
Thank you to Bobby J's.
Finally me we have for winning I am going to get be about 35, 37 dollar
burger for free, I will get a sweet t-shirt dad to my collection, and I'll be
I think the fifth person up on the wall of fame! It was overall win number 563 so
thank you to Bobby J's Old Fashioned hamburgers here in a Helotes, Texas which
is just outside of San Antonio, thank you guys all for coming and staying to watch
thank you guys for watching too!

A STUDENT CALLED ME AFTER MIDNIGHT [the reason shocked me] - Duration: 6:57.
Hello
Hello, can I talk to Rodger Koller?
This is Rodger. Who's speaking?
This is Rodger! I'm your student! I study from Mondays to Fridays with you.
Do you remember me?
But, on a Friday night, man! let me see the time...
It's midnight! Why are you calling me at this time, man?
We're going to have a class on Monday!
It's because I was here studying with your videos
I always watch your videos
I think you're very handsome and
and very intelligent, so
I was here studying with your videos and
I was watching that series "Real-Life English"
I love the idea! I love the concept!
Great idea, Rodger!
but then I have some questions about vocabulary
I've created this series in order to teach vocabulary, because
I just start talking without a script, I talk as naturally as possible, as if I were talking to a friend
So, I think it's a great opportunity for me to bring my subscribers real-life English
and the objective of this series of videos is to teach vocabulary
and it's amazing because we have the opportunity to get to know more about you
I think it's an amazing series
Ok, but you said you had a question, what's your question?
Yes, I've made a list with some words that I didn't understand from your last video
and the first word that I didn't understand that you used in your last video is "whatsoever"
Can you explain what this means?
We use this word to emphasize something that we said in the negative form. For example:
I can say "I really don't like you"
or I can say "I don't like you whatsoever"
I'm giving strength to my negative sentence
I really don't like you = I don't like you whatsoever
It's similar to "really" but in negative sentences we use "whatsoever"
like... "I don't like you whatsoever"
Oh, so it's like this:
I don't want this conversation to end whatsoever!
ok, bye! I need to sleep
AM I RIGHT?
I need to sleep, do you understand that?
I can't breathe!!!
Why?
Because you take my breath away! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ok, I've got to go to bed. I'll have to wake early tomorrow
No! I've got another question of a different word!
Ok, what's the word?
The word is "whether"
I didn't understand it when you used it in your last video
What does it mean?
I'm going to teach this word in a specific video, but
But basically when you're in doubt, when you don't know what to do about two alternatives
you can use this word. For example:
"I don't know whether to go to the party or not"
That's how you can use it
Oh! Let me try to make a sentence with this word
I don't know whether to tell you that I love you now or not
Yes! It's grammatically correct!
Can I go to sleep now, man?
We're going to see each other on Monday, remember?
in class
My love for you is just like diarrhea
WHAT? (°□°)
I just can't hold it! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Alright, that's enough! Bye!
No wait!!!
What is it?
You're so hot that I could fry my eggs on your body! ..........................................( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
WHAT? (°□°)
No, man! BYE!
I need to go to bed, I'm going to see my girlfriend in the morning...
Do you understand that?
Wait! I've got another question!
Seriously, wait, I just have another question
OK BUT THIS IS THE LAST ONE!
What's your question?
In your last video, you used the word "THOUGH"
and I couldn't understand it
What's the meaning of this word?
It is similar to "but"
every time you want to use "BUT", you can use "THOUGH" instead.
"but" goes in the middle of the sentence and "though" goes at the end of the sentence
Normally in the end of the sentence (not always)
EXAMPLE: I don't like you, but I'm talking to you
I can say the same sentence but instead of using "but", I can use the word "though". For example:
I don't like you. I'm talking to you though
Oh, it's like this:
Let me try to make a sentence using this word
You are my teacher but I love you
or I can say it like this:
You are my teacher. I love you though.
Am I right?
Yes! See you on Monday at school!
Good night! Bye!
Rodger! Let me ask you something!
After class on Monday, can I follow you home?
Why? I know I'll regret asking you that but...Why?
Because my parents told me to follow my dreams!.............. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
And my mother told me to be away from weird people!
See you later!

HEALTHY HABITS // 10 daily habits that changed my life (science-backed) - Duration: 10:48.
Good daily habits can make such a big difference to your overall health and your
life. In this video I'm going to share 10 daily habits that have changed my life
in many different ways. If you're interested keep watching. Hello hello!
Welcome back to the whole happy life. My name is Ria and I'm a holistic
nutritionist with a food engineering background. For today's video we're going
to talk about 10 daily habits that have made a really big difference to my life
in different areas such as physical health, emotional health and brain health.
Before we dive in I wanted to say a few things so you know the context. The first
thing is these daily habits have been the result of gradual habit forming over
the last five years- it's not something that happened overnight. It is difficult
to form habits and it does take time. The second thing - although these habits are
daily habits I don't put pressure on myself to do them every day especially
when things get too busy or things are too overwhelming. Sometimes things slide
a little and that's okay. When you're making lifestyle changes it's not about
perfection it's about doing what you can and generally I do try to do these
habits at least three to five times a week IN the times that I'm really
stressed out because I feel that they do help me stay on track and they do help
reduce stress. Anyway enough with the introduction let's get into the habits.
The first daily habit is that I drink a glass of water as soon as I get up. Well
not as soon as I get up -I brush my teeth, I go to the bathroom and then I have a
glass of water. I find that this has made a big difference to energy levels in the
morning. When we're sleeping we're not taking it any water and when we wake up
we can be mildly dehydrated and when we're dehydrated our fatigue levels go
up. There is some science behind this - I'll put it in the description box. So a
good thing to do is start your morning by getting enough hydration. I drink a
glass of filtered water. If I feel like it, I'll add some lemon to it I don't always
do that and it's usually at room temperature but if you like warm water
that can work too. It really is about personal preference but drinking some
water in the morning is a great thing to do for your energy levels. Number two I
meditate for 10 minutes every day. I used to be very skeptical about
meditation when I first started. I didn't really believe in it I didn't think that
there was science behind it but there is actually quite a bit of science. It can
do things like reduce anxiety, it can help you improve your immune function, it
can help reduce pain. There's a lot that it can do I have a few links in the
description box but for me the biggest change is mental clarity and I feel much
more calm. I am not naturally a calm person I may appear calm on YouTube but
I am not naturally a calm person. Meditation - years of meditation has
gotten me to this point and I really do think that there are a lot of benefits
to trying it out. Now if you're a beginner, meditation can seem very
daunting and I have two tips to provide. So the first one is try to just be very
open about meditation in the beginning. The first 10 to 15 sessions for me were
very difficult. I didn't know what I was doing and I felt overwhelmed and I felt
like I was doing it the wrong way. It wasn't until the 15th or 16th session
that I really got into it and I started to see the benefit. So give it time. The
second thing is if you are starting out try guided meditation versus meditation
where you're just doing it on your own. Guided meditation can really help you
stay on track and can really guide you through the process. I use an app called
Calm - I highly recommend it. I love it. There is also another app called
Headspace which you could try out. Number three I go for a brisk walk outdoors
every day. Now I have to say that I live in Canada so a brisk walk outdoors every
day does not happen year-round! It doesn't happen in the winter but for the
rest of the year I do try to get outside because I find it's such a mood booster
to get some fresh air.. to get some sunlight and to be out in the greenery
and there are studies that show that exposure to greenery is good for your
health. As usual, everything's in the description box. Now for me the brisk
walk is not just a mood booster - it's also the way I get exercise. I am NOT a
gym person I have never been in gym person I just don't enjoy it who knows
who the people who enjoy the gym I would love to do that but I just can't I don't
like it so for me getting exercise has to be something that's part
of my lifestyle and I love going up the walk so I started to make my walks my
exercise now the World Health Organization recommends that we get
about 150 minutes of moderate cardiovascular activity week or 75
minutes of cardiovascular activity a walk can count if your heart rate is
high enough so when I'm walking I test my heart rate I have an app on my phone
samsung health is the app that I use and my heart rates usually between the
moderate and thicker zone so my walk actually counts as a workout it counts
as water and activity so that's how I get my 150 minutes of exercise per week
through my walk number four in addition to the walk ayuh exercise so the walk is
great for cardiovascular activity if you're doing a brisk walk or if they're
jogging or running but a well-rounded exercise regimen should include more
than just cardio I like to include some weight training and yoga but I
specifically wanted to talk about weeds there's a lot of women shy away from it
especially because they think they're going to look a certain way if they
train with weights the World Health Organization recommends at the average
adult do at least two sessions a week why is it so important as we age we tend
to lose muscle mass it's a normal part of Aging another normal part of aging is
losing bone density it happens but we can slow that process down with one
thing and that one thing is weight training so it doesn't matter what age
you are it could be in your 20s or 30s it's never too early to start preserving
your muscle mass and preserving your bone density if you're a beginner you
should always speak to a professional learn the proper moves you could do body
weights or free weights but always speak to someone who knows what they're doing
so you don't get injured and then eventually when you know what you're
doing you could always work at a home that's what I do I am NOT a gym person
as I mentioned earlier so I don't go to the gym but I will use free weights and
bodyweight exercises at home if you're interested in the exercise channels that
I follow I have them in the description box below number five I try to eat
something green every day it's rather embarrassing but I will admit that even
as a nutritionist I find it hard to eat greens I did not grow up eating greens
so it's a very foreign concept for me but I do understand that they are very
nutrient dense and it's a good idea to get some greens on a daily basis
especially a variety of greens you are getting a variety of vitamins and
minerals if we're interested in nutrient density score that I have one link in
the description box below now if you're beginner the easiest way to add greens
to your diet really is smoothies I find that that was the best gateway for me to
get into the habit of eating greens if you're interested in how to make green
smoothies taste better I do have a video on it which I will link in the
description box below number six I eat at least two to three servings of
brightly colored fruits and veggies every day this is my bare minimum two to
three I usually try to eat more why is it important to eat brightly colored
fruits and veggies well you may have heard of the term eat the rainbow eat
the rainbow basically suggests eating fruits and veggies from different colors
but different colors mean they have different phytochemicals which mean they
have different health properties some phytochemicals can help with cancer
prevention some can help with liver some can help with metabolism there's
different reasons to have those phytochemicals and it's a good idea to
get a variety so I do try to cut at least two to three servings of fruits
and veggies from those different groups if you're interested in learning more
about eating the rainbow I have a link in the description box below number
seven I listen to relaxing music every evening as a way to wind down so music
has many different health benefits the science is still emerging but what I
found very interesting is that nature sounds and relaxing music can help
reduce stress it can help reduce the stress hormone called cortisol if you're
interested for the science is in the description box so I do try to listen to
something that's very relaxing flutes maybe some nature sounds rustling with
leaves things like that a waterfall those are all really nice to listen to
at the end of the day as a way to wind down and just relax number eight I try
to read or learn something new every day and I love to do this because it's
something that I truly enjoy but there are other benefits to it especially when
it comes to brain health so as we age there is that natural decline in our
memories it happens but mental stimulation can slow down that decline
so for me it's reading I will like to learn new things for you it
could be whatever works for you if you're a reading person read a book
fiction and nonfiction both have their benefits if you're not into reading
learning a new language on an app such as duolingo could work or you could
watch something every day like short snippets on Ted Ed to learn something
new it's all about keeping your brain engaged and stimulated number-9 I try to
spend quality time with loved ones every day and I want to underline the word
quality time because a lot of us end up spending time with our loved ones but
we're on our phones and we're not properly engaged with them they're not
really talking to them it's not good communication and this happens to
everybody it's just the digital age that we live in I used to scroll on my phone
next my husband and I felt like I was spending time with him but that wasn't
really spending time so now no phones properly talked to him I spent time with
my cats - I find that cuddling a pet or a human - can help you release oxytocin
which is known as the cuddle hormone or the love hormone and it can help reduce
stress number 10 I avoid phones in the one hour before bed so I used to be on
my phone right before bed and I found it very difficult to fall asleep because my
brain was all over the place it was very mentally stimulated and phones also emit
something known as blue light and that blue light is something that your brain
thinks is they like so when you're on your phone and that blue light is going
to your brain your brain thinks it's not time to sleep so it won't produce
melatonin very well and it becomes harder to sleep I actually have talked
about this in another video on sleep which I will link in the description box
below but what I tried to do is I switched my phone off an hour or an hour
and a half before bed like flight mode so I don't look at any notifications I
don't look at anything and that way I'm actually able to sleep better I hope you
find this video useful and you enjoyed it if you liked it give it a thumbs up
and don't forget to subscribe because I create videos like this every week and
before you go let me know in the comment box below what is the one habit that has
changed your life I will see you in the next video bye

Waluigi for Super Smash Bros Ultimate | Original Arcade Cloud Animation - Duration: 5:23.
(applause)
- We have one open fighter slot remaining.
So many have asked for the inclusion of this fan favorite.
- Wah?
- An often overlooked, but essential character
from the Mario series.
- Wah?
- The moment you've all been waiting for is here.
It is my pleasure to finally welcome
this fighter to Super Smash Brothers.
- Wah, wah, wah?
- [Announcer] Daisy. (applause)
(wailing)
I hope you weren't expecting many new characters,
since we have everyone ever to appear in Smash returning.
But, we do have one last surprise for you.
At long last, Ridley Hits the Big Time.
(cheering)
(screeching)
(applause)
The gang's all here.
- No, they're not, the fans are clamoring for me, Waluigi.
You already made my character model for (beep) sake.
How hard could it be?
- For those that didn't make the cut this year,
don't worry, we have not forgotten about you.
We have plenty of assist trophy positions to be awarded.
(jazz music)
(applause)
(bomb exploding)
- Don't get down on yourself Toady.
If Ridley got in, anyone can be in Smash Bros
if they just keep asking.
- You think? - Wah.
(laughing)
(whining)
- Gentlemen, stand down
I always have time for fans.
- It's me, Waluigi.
- Yes, it is the fans that make our game so great.
I hope you love Smash Bros Ultimate
as much as we love making it.
(engine starting)
(engine revving)
(upbeat music)
(siren sounding)
(bomb exploding)
(screaming)
Impressive.
How'd you like to join Super Smash Bros
as a token of my thanks?
(typing)
Is this important?
We only have 12 weeks and three delays until release.
- [Waluigi] Wah, wah, wah.
- Very well, enter.
I did not order pizza.
There is no time for eating, only smash.
How did I not see this before?
Such a great character right in front of me the whole time.
How could I be so foolish?
Call the desk, we need to get the
overcooked chefs in the game.
No, not as DLC, they must fighters at launch.
Whatever it takes, just get it done.
(chattering)
(rock music)
What is this?
- [Waluigi] Wah, wah, wah, wah!
- I can't see that from here.
- Wah, wah.
- Paper, aha, yes, paper Mario.
Of course, the fans will not forgive
us if we leave him out again.
Thank you kind stranger.
You've helped Super Smash Bros
avoid an unforgivable omission.
(glass breaking)
(dog barking)
(laughing)
(growling)
(dog barking)
(screaming)
(light piano music)
You again!
Whoever you are, you've gone too far.
Just because you try hard,
it doesn't mean you'll make it into battle.
(wailing)
Super Smash Brothers means a lot to you, huh?
Being more than an assist trophy, okay.
I think I have a solution that will
make both of us very happy.
(applause)
Thank you all for coming for this
most important update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
It has come to my attention that
merely being an assist trophy is not enough,
even an insult to some of our more established characters.
With our latest update, I aim to fix this problem.
Starting today, assist trophies
can now be knocked out of battle.
Yes, this will help players eliminate
the more annoying assist trophies.
Those that try to interfere with the game,
they have no real place here.
And now to demonstrate this exciting new feature,
I've invited eight of our most powerful fighters.
And, of course, everyone's
favorite assist trophy, Waluigi.
(dramatic music)
- [Announcer] Three, two, one, go.
(applause)
(wailing)
- [Narrator] Hey guys, if you liked our video,
and want to see Waluigi in Super Smash Bros Ultimate,
please share this video
and don't forget to like and subscribe below.

A Certain Kind of Love - Duration: 3:07.
Glenda Elliott: Lauree knew how to tease me
without my being offended.
And there was something about the way she would smile that,
you know, I can still see very vividly.
She was the first person I really, truly loved.
But I grew up in the 40s, in a small, rural community.
There were certainly no role models of what it means
to love someone of the same sex.
So, I didn't know how to understand that.
My high school sweetheart, he proposed to me.
And I thought at that time, that's what a woman did,
she got married.
And it didn't take me very long to realize
that I'd made a mistake.
So he and I decided to get a divorce.
During all of this time Lauree and I had stayed in touch.
I knew that I loved her deeply.
She said, "Well I have very strong feelings for you too,
but most of all I want to have children."
She met a man who had asked her to marry him.
Then she got pregnant, and she said,
"If it's a little girl, I'm going to name her after you."
Well, it turned out it was a little boy, and I was relieved.
It really would have been excruciatingly painful
if she had had a little girl named after me.
Somewhere along the way she said,
"If I outlive my husband and you don't have a partner,
perhaps we can grow old together."
And somehow that made it alright.
But then, Lauree got cancer.
And she didn't live very long.
And I did not get to see her again.
It didn't hit me so much until I turned 60 and I began
to really think about old age.
And this was the time that Lauree and I were gonna have.
And it didn't happen.
There are certain kinds of love that never die.
But I don't regret at all our time together.
It is where I learned that I could love and I could be
loved in that complete sense of the word.
-------------------------------------------
Mi Abuela Panchita - Duration: 2:13.
Bishop Ricardo Ramirez: I was asked to be a bishop,
and there was going to be a reception for me,
so I called my grandmother.
She was one of these women who lived out in the ranches,
who would grab a rattlesnake by the tail and snap its head off.
She was strong and she raised this big family.
Well, two or three days before the party,
my grandmother arrives.
I ask, "What have you been doing lately?"
And she said, "I've been having a good time."
"Wow, what do you do at 90 years old to have a good time?"
She says, "Oh son, I have been going to funerals."
I said, "You have been having a good time at funerals?"
"Oh yes.
Yes, we drink coffee, we tell stories,
we meet old friends━ it's wonderful.
We have a great time."
I said, "Grandma, how can you have
a good time when somebody dies?"
She looked at me, straight into my eyes.
And she was serious, almost scolding me, and she says,
"Son, haven't you learned yet that it is a privilege to die."
In all my years of study, in theology and listening
to sermons, I had never quite heard it that way.
A few weeks later, she had that privilege.
She was in the hospital, recovering from a heart attack,
but we knew she probably wouldn't make it at her age.
And she kept repeating, like a mantra, "Solo quiero ver a Dios,
I just want to see the face of God."
That was the last thing I ever heard her say,
and then she died two days later.
When she died, she was singing songs from catechism.
[Sings] "Al cielo, I want to go to heaven,
I want to go to heaven ..."
Songs from childhood.
And she died singing.
She was just an amazing woman.
I'll never forget Panchita.

Why Are West Africans So Fast At Running - Genetic Mutations - Duration: 9:41.
Ever wonder why you look like your mom or dad?
Or why your eyes are a certain color?
Well, it's all about your genes.
Genes contain de-oxy-ri-bonucleic acid, commonly referred to as DNA, and DNA is the hereditary
material found in the nucleus of our cells.
It contains our individual cellular signature and determines skin color, gender, and hair
color as well as whether or not we have certain genetic diseases.
More than 99% of our genetic information is exactly the same as every other person, but
it's the 1% in which we all differ where things get very interesting.
Welcome to this episode of The Infographics Show: 10 Genetic Mutations that Turned People
into Superheroes.
We've all heard about The X-Men, a mutant subspecies of humans who are born with superhuman
abilities activated by the X Gene.
These mutations give them superpowers, that include everything from superhuman strength,
agility, and endurance, to the ability to absorb the memories, personality, and skills
of another person.
Ok, so that's Hollywood and those mutations are pretty awesome.
What about real life genetic mutations?
Today we bring you our list of 10 real life mutations that make people superhuman.
10.
Supertaster - Yes, some people out there have a super tongue for super tasting.
There are non-tasters, average tasters, and about a quarter of the population tastes food
way more intensely than the rest of us.
If you have more than 30 taste buds in a space the size of a hole punch on your tongue, then
you are a supertaster.
Women are more than twice as likely to be supertasters than men.
A supertaster is more likely to put milk and sugar in bitter coffee, or avoid fatty foods.
Scientists say the reason for these super-tasting tongues is due to genes, specifically one
called TAS2R38, the bitter-taste receptor gene.
Supertasters tend to dislike strong, bitter foods like raw broccoli, grapefruit juice,
coffee and dark chocolate- so go and do a taste test with your friends and find out
which of you are supertasters.

Super-sleeper - Many of us think winning the genetic lottery is eating as many doughnuts
as you want and still fitting into those skinny jeans, but what if I told you there are people
who only need to sleep a few hours every night and will still wake up bright eyed and alert?
There is a rare genetic mutation that does just that, as it allows those with the gene
to function at their best with a sub-standard amount of sleep.
Dr. Mehdi Tafti, a professor at the Center for Integrative Genomics, estimates that only
1% of people who routinely sleep fewer hours have the genetic mutation.
Short-sleeping habits may run in the family, and scientists hope to learn how to harness
this ability so it can be used to help people switch up their sleeping routines, resulting
in increased mental well being.
8.
Super Sprint – It's well known that Olympic sprint podiums have long been dominated by
athletes of West African descent, and the explanation is likely part genetic, relating
to a gene known as the ACTN3 gene.
David Epstein, author of the New York Times bestselling book The Sports Gene: Inside the
Science of Extraordinary Athletic Performance, outlines how the vast majority of world-class
sprinters trace their ancestry to the same region in West Africa, an area where the ACTN3
gene is far more prevalent.
Certain variants of this gene help our bodies make a special protein called alpha-actinin-3,
which controls how fast muscle tensing and flexing occurs.
Where this gene is more dominant, the muscles can operate at a higher flexing rate which
generates explosive power, a crucial component of speed.
The influence of the ACTN3 gene was discovered in 2008 when geneticists were studying elite
sprinters and power athletes.
7.
The malaria-protecting variant – In October 2015, British journal Nature published data
from a study they had carried out where genes identified in some African children reduce
their risk of contracting severe malaria by up to 40%, an incredible find seeing as nearly
half of the world's population is at risk of malaria.
In 2015 there were roughly 212 million malaria cases and an estimated 429,000 malaria deaths.
This genetic discovery allows scientists to carry out risk assessments of individuals
and the wider population.
Though blood disorders are not necessarily considered in the super zone, the information
that the medical community can learn from these protected people can help to influence
more innovative malaria treatments down the road, and save thousands of people.
6.
The painless family – No one likes to feel pain, but it serves an important function
by telling us that something is wrong.
Yet there's a strange case of an Italian family that feels almost no pain at all due
to a genetic mutation.
The Marsili family is afflicted with a type of rare condition known as congenital analgesia
or congenital insensitivity to pain.
This means they don't feel things the same way normal people do.
Sounds great, right?
Well actually it can be a huge problem.
You need to feel pain when you're growing up so you learn not to touch that hot stove,
or to recognize when you have an illness such as appendicitis which is recognized through
severe abdominal pain.
A research team lead by scientists at University College London (UCL) have conducted a genetic
study into the Marsili family to determine the genetic root of the condition, with the
hope that their findings can be used to develop a new treatment for chronic pain.
5.
Low-cholesterol mutation – This is the one that everybody wants!
A genetic mutation that lowers cholesterol levels regardless of the number of greasy
chips you consume.
Mutations in a gene responsible for producing a protein called cholesteryl ester transfer
protein or CETP, result in a deficiency of that protein.
A person who has CETP deficiency often has higher levels of good cholesterol, which helps
carry cholesterol to the liver so it can be removed from the body, resulting in lower
cholesterol levels...which means?
Yep, you guessed it…more fatty foods and less chance of heart disease.
But wait a minute; maybe it's not so simple.
We found that a genetic study of 150,000 Chinese adults published in the journal JAMA Cardiology
concluded that raising so-called good cholesterol by blocking a key protein does not protect
against heart disease or stroke.
So even if you are a super cholesterol burner, you still need to keep an eye on your diet.
4.
Super coffee consumer - There are at least six genes associated with how your body processes
caffeine so not everyone gets the same buzz from their morning cup.
Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health and Brigham Women's Hospital conducted
analysis of more than 120,000 coffee drinkers.
They found that genetic variants that applied to caffeine metabolism impact how caffeine
triggers the body's sense of reward.
"Our findings may allow us to identify subgroups of people most likely to benefit from increasing
or decreasing coffee consumption for optimal health," commented Marilyn Cornelis, a nutrition
research associate at Harvard University.
This may explain why some people are able to fall asleep at night after a daytime coffee
while others have to cut out the habit altogether to get a good night's sleep.
3.
Tetrachromacy – That's quite a mouthful!
And this rare condition certainly sounds like the trait of a superhero.
Most of us have three types of cone cells in our eye with which to view the colors of
the world.
But researchers suspect that some people see even more as they have a fourth type.
A person with four types of cones might experience a range of colors invisible to the rest of
us.
It's possible these so-called tetrachromats see a hundred million colors, with hundreds
of subtle shades that we do not even have names for.
And because perceiving color is a personal experience, they would have no way of knowing
they see far beyond what we consider the limits of human vision.
Tetrachromacy certainly sounds like a proper super mutation.
2.
Super lungs – Thousands of Tibetans live at altitudes of over 11,000 ft (3500 meters),
and some in the Chantong-Qingnan area even as high as 15,000 ft (4500 meters).
At this height, there's 40% less oxygen which can be fatal for most people, but the
locals here go about their day as if they are living at sea level.
This is due to genetic evolution that has come about over generations.
An international team of researchers compared the DNA of 50 Tibetans with that of 40 Han
Chinese and found 34 mutations that have become more common in Tibetans in the 2,750 years
since the populations split.
A gene that controls red blood cell production enables these Tibetans to tolerate high altitudes,
providing them with their super lung capacity.
1.
Unbreakable mutation - Imagine being able to fall from a bike or off a ladder, get up,
brush the dust off, and carry on your way.
It sounds like the lifestyle of Schwarzenegger's Terminator character.
But believe it or not, there are some people born with a rare genetic mutation which makes
their bones several times denser than the average human.
In theory, people with the unbreakable bone mutation could walk away from car accidents
unscathed.
It sounds like a blessing, eh?
Well maybe not, as this condition, known as sclerosteosis, results in excessive bone growth,
and can cause pressure on cranial nerves, sometimes even leading to hearing loss.
The good news is that doctors are trying to use this mutation to find a cure for osteoporosis
and other diseases that cause brittle bones.
So, that's our list of 10 super mutations.
Do you know of any other mutations that make everyday people superhuman?

Why Cancer Labels Are Super Misleading - Duration: 11:37.
[♪ INTRO]
Sometimes, it seems like everything around me causes cancer,
or at least somebody's saying that.
There's my tasty steak, my morning latte,
half the chemicals floating around in the air.
Not to mention the sun.
Sunlight. I love you!
You're great; you're the reason life exists.
But I'm worried about this mole.
And it doesn't help that the agencies that do risk assessments for carcinogens,
or the things that cause cancer, aren't always very clear about what they mean.
Sure, we know that cigarettes are bad,
but bacon is in the same category as cigarettes. Really?
The confusion comes from the fact that most of the labels on substances really are only
talking about the quality of the evidence that it does or doesn't cause cancer, not
how likely it is to sprout a tumor on you.
And some of the determinations you hear about are more legal than scientific.
I'm looking at you, California.
The first step to understanding what these labels really mean, and how to interpret them,
is to establish what cancer actually is.
Cells are considered cancerous when they grow uncontrollably, which can cause tumors.
And in many cases, rogue cells will
break off to form new tumors in other parts of the body.
Figuring out the environmental exposures and lifestyle factors that increase your risk
for cancer can be complicated, especially because each person might have different genetic
predispositions to various types of the disease.
But with careful studies, scientists have been able to identify dozens of things that
are a good idea to avoid.
In many cases, clues to what might be harmful come from noticing patterns.
One of the first times doctors did this was back in 1775, when a London surgeon named
Percivall Pott noticed an alarming number of former chimney sweeps
developing skin cancer on their scrotums.
He proposed that chimney soot was getting stuck on their
skin and eventually leading to tumors.
If you wanted another reason to not go into that particular field.
Pott's approach was essentially an early epidemiological study: looking at disease
rates in different populations to suss out potential causes.
Of course, the main problem with these types of studies is that they rely on correlations.
They can't prove that chimney soot is the culprit, rather than something else the chimney
sweeps might be prone to, say, elaborate song and dance numbers, but they can be suggestive.
And they can still play a huge role in public health, even if they're not definitive.
For instance, just three years after Pott published his observations, some clever Danes
decided to recommend daily baths for chimney sweeps.
Even 100 years later, continental Europe had much lower rates of scrotal cancer than the
UK, which did not adopt those bath recommendations.
Today, epidemiological studies are just one type of evidence scientists
use when evaluating potential carcinogens.
Another approach is to do testing in animals.
In the early 20th century, Japanese scientists tried putting various substances on rabbit
ears, and seeing whether those could form tumors.
In many cases they did.
We now often do similar experiments in rats and mice,
sometimes feeding them the chemicals or using other exposure routes.
This method is powerful, because it directly implicates whatever you put on the ear,
or feed to the animal, and it's much faster
than waiting for cancers to spontaneously develop in the population.
Scientists can also drill down and test different elements of substances to identify specific
molecules that might be a problem.
As we've learned a lot more about cancer in the last few decades,
we've come up with even faster methods.
Biologists now consider cancer a genetic disease.
That doesn't mean that it's necessarily tied to the genes you inherited from your
parents, although it sometimes is.
But no matter what causes it, cancer is considered genetic in the sense that something has to
happen to a cell's DNA to allow for that uncontrolled growth.
In many cases, those changes come from carcinogens mutating DNA, they're mutagenic.
So, scientists can do tests to see whether a compound might be a carcinogen, based on
what it does in cells.
One of the simplest tests is called the Ames test, which is done in bacteria.
You start with a strain of Salmonella that can't actually grow on its own;
it's a mutant.
You apply your test substance, mixed with some rat liver enzymes to mimic
how the human body would metabolize the chemical.
Then, you try to grow the bacteria in a petri dish.
If you don't get much, that's great, it means your test substance
isn't very good at mutating DNA.
If you see a lot of colonies, that's a sign that whatever you added was pretty good at
undoing the original mutation, and allowing the bacteria to grow again.
You might want to stay away from that.
In the 1970s, the Ames test was a huge advance, because it was super fast.
It's much faster than even the animal tests, and it also gives a rough estimate of
how mutagenic a compound is.
There are, however, flaws with each of these methods, which we'll get into.
But the basic idea of carcinogen evaluation is to synthesize all of the available information
on a substance, and make a conclusion about whether or not it can cause cancer.
The most famous and influential group that does this is the
International Agency for Research on Cancer, or IARC.
It's a part of the World Health Organization.
Over the past half century, they've evaluated 1004 potential carcinogens,
putting them in one of 5 categories.
If the scientific evidence is very strong and consistent that something can cause cancer,
it goes in group 1.
If there is less evidence, but it's still fairly strong, an item might get classified
in group 2A as 'probably' carcinogenic, and so on down the list.
Group 2B is 'possibly' carcinogenic, while 4 is 'probably not.'
Group 3 means there isn't enough evidence either way.
This actually includes half the items.
In the US, there's also the National Toxicology Program, or NTP, which puts out a list of
things either "known to be human carcinogens" or "reasonably anticipated to be human carcinogens."
Various other systems exist, but they tend to look a lot like these two,
where there's some attempt at putting a hierarchy on the strength of the evidence,
not the degree of risk.
Typically, human studies carry more weight than animal studies,
so if something is suspicious only in animals, it's ranked lower.
The main problem with this approach is that it's easily misinterpreted.
The agencies are evaluating the quality of the evidence,
not how carcinogenic something is.
This is how you end up with bacon being in IARC's top category, along with tobacco
smoke and things like chimney soot, asbestos, and plutonium, things you really want to avoid.
Bacon and other processed meats are way less carcinogenic than cigarettes.
But in terms of whether each item is at all cancer-causing,
IARC concluded that both have very firm backing.
So you should also know that IARC tends to be pretty conservative in their decisions.
Out of more than 1,000 items, only 120 made it to group 1,
where they're basically sure that it's a carcinogen.
Even more amazingly, there's just one thing in its least concerning
"probably not" category.
That honor goes to caprolactam, a chemical used in making synthetic fibers, like nylon.
The only thing that probably doesn't cause cancer.
But before you think, 'great, the people making my toothbrush are safe'!
Well, not quite.
Short term exposure to the chemical can burn your eyes and skin.
IARC is just assessing cancer risk, not overall safety.
So they're saying that it probably won't give you a tumor.
In broad strokes, these classifications are helpful.
But what most people want to know is: what stuff do I need to avoid, for what reason,
and how bad are those things?
To know that, you need to dig deeper than the category rating.
You could read the full IARC reports, but if you're not into 500-plus page monographs,
you could easily get good information from non-profit
cancer societies and government agencies.
So, for instance, the cancer drug tamoxifen is listed in IARC's group 1
because it increases the risk of uterine cancer.
But if you already have breast cancer, tamoxifen can be lifesaving.
Like if you're increasing your chances of getting one cancer by definitely getting rid
of the cancer you already have, that's a good deal.
The hormone estrogen also makes the cut, but that doesn't mean that everyone should try
to rid their bodies of estrogen, cuz your body makes estrogen and you need it.
Estrogen can actually protect against certain cancers, even if it raises the risk for others.
So don't assume that its classification means it's always bad in every single circumstance.
While the IARC and NTP systems are science-based, they still involve interpretation of data,
which can be hard to do, especially if it's contradictory.
In some cases, agencies get it wrong and have to issue changes.
Take the case of saccharin, an artificial sweetener.
In the 1970s, scientists found that male rats given high doses of the sugar substitute developed
bladder cancer, leading to IARC initially classifying it as a 'possible' human carcinogen.
But the effect was only seen in male rats.
There were no problems in mice or monkeys, and no epidemiological evidence that it did
anything to people, who had been enjoying it for quite a while in their food.
Eventually, scientists realized that saccharin was only a problem for male rats because they
happen to make lots of a certain type of protein that can form crystals when saccharin is around.
Those crystals then irritate the bladder, something that simply does not happen in humans.
In 1998, IARC lowered its rating.
This highlights the problem with putting too much stock in animal studies:
they're not human.
Plus, they're usually getting massive doses that are
way beyond what we would normally come into contact with.
So, while these tests are useful for screening, there could be a lot of reasons why substances
wouldn't affect us the same.
The super speedy Ames test has a similar problem.
It's very good at picking out substances that mutate DNA, but it misses things that
contribute to cancer in other ways.
For instance, take alcohol.
It's a well-established carcinogen, but it doesn't pop up as a
positive on the Ames test because it promotes cancer by killing cells,
causing the body to replace those cells more quickly.
That mechanism can only be detected in animals or humans.
So, depending on the test, some compounds won't get flagged as dangerous when they
are, and some will get flagged as dangerous when they aren't.
To get the best picture possible of what's actually happening, you need to consider a
wide range of evidence.
And as you can imagine, in weighing all of these different sorts of experiments, it's
only natural that scientists will sometimes disagree with one another.
Decisions on substances are usually roughly the same between organizations,
but there are discrepancies.
Then, of course, you have the decisions that aren't even all that science-based.
You know all those warning labels on everything from headphones to mugs that
say they contain a chemical 'known to the state of California to cause cancer,
birth defects, or other reproductive harm'?
They come from a 1986 law, known as proposition 65,
that was meant to help California protect its drinking water and its people from health hazards.
But anyone can file a lawsuit to get a warning label slapped on products that contain
even a negligible amount of a chemical on the state's list.
Including, now, coffee, since it contains a small amount of acrylamide.
The IARC labels it as a 'probable carcinogen,'
but acrylamide is found naturally in lots of cooked foods.
And the label is based on the results of animal studies; there's no clear evidence that
it affects cancer risk in humans.
Never mind that coffee as a whole is one of the best studied beverages on the planet,
and it's thought to be, if anything, protective against cancer.
So, if you're worried about product labels, use them as guideposts.
And when you see headlines claiming that some new thing has been found to be as
dangerous as cigarettes, it's almost definitely not; look into the context.
In some cases, like the state of California's warnings, there are clear reasons why you
don't need to heed them, which actually makes the whole idea of the warning weaker.
For the others, it's a matter of looking up the amount of risk associated with each one,
or asking your doctor for advice.
For the most part, you already know the things that you really need to stay away from, like
tobacco smoke, excessive drinking, and too much sun exposure.
And sometimes taking the new findings into account may just mean eating, like,
fewer hot dogs every year.

I wasn't happy picking corn or shoveling manure.

Carly Dreher: It sounds like you were the black sheep.
LL: Yeah.
I drove my poor father nuts.
He couldn't understand me.

"Son, you cannot think the thoughts you think."
My brother was totally a farmer.

LL: She came to the church that we attended and I said to her,

And I took her hand and it went from there.
CD: You and Grandma had so many adventures in your lives.
LL: You bet.
CD: Your honeymoon was just driving across the country.
LL: Yes.
I had a '36 Chevy and I was able to

CD: Yes.
I know that, um, it's hard to talk about Grandma but
what made you love her so much?
LL: I don't know.
I don't know.
It was something I couldn't help.
CD: Hm.
LL: We have been in love for almost 70 years.
And she now died and all I can say is that

CD: Is.
LL: It is so beautiful.
I'm terribly, terribly lonesome.
CD: She was pretty amazing.
LL: Very.
Yeah.
CD: Do you have any regrets, Grandpa.
LL: No, no.
We lived a wonderful life.
I think when we got married, we'd made all new tracks.

What's The Hardest - Duration: 4:22.
Hi my name is Christopher Coleman.
I am a motivational speaker, an author, a life coach, and a D&I expert.
As a man of color, as a member of the GLBT community, and as an individual with a disability,
I can tell you that it all has it's own set of struggles.
That is why it is very important to take a holistic approach to diversity, inclusion,
and equality.
As a man of color, I feel like walls have been built around me, and I am not allowed to explore
outside of those boundaries.
I am what they call a 'Second-Class Citizen.'
My rights will always be dictated by someone else, based on what 'they' think about
the color of my skin.
As a member of the GLBT community, a line is drawn for me and I am not allowed to cross
it.
I can only come so far.
I'm what you call a 'Devalued Citizen.'
The gifts and abilities that I can bring to the table is of no value to our society.
As an individual with a disability, I am put inside of a box and told I can only do so much.
I am what you call an 'Incapable Citizen.'
My ability will always be overlooked by my disabilities.
Any way you look at it, it is all the outcome of being oppressed by society.
It doesn't matter what people group you do it to, taking away someone's right to liberty is confining.
As an intersectional person, I can tell you that the effects of being oppressed by society
is the same regardless of the reason behind it.
The hardest part of being what they would call a "Multifaceted Oppressed Person"
is watching each group become a protégé of their oppressor.
You see, you cannot recognize that the same thing we do to people over here, those people
over there, have done to us.
You see it's not about MY rights, THEIR gifts, or YOUR abilities.
It's about OUR rights, OUR gifts, and OUR abilities to make this world a better place.

GODZILLA HAMBURGER CHALLENGE in San Antonio, Texas!! - Duration: 7:30.

My Father, the Giant - Duration: 2:14.
KIAMICHI-TET WILLIAMS (KW): I actually never met
your dad, my grandfather.
What was he like?
THOMPSON WILLIAMS (TW): He wasn't the biggest guy but
people reacted to him like he was a giant.
He could swear with the best of them--it sounded like music--
but he never used it to be angry with somebody.
I remember my mom would tell me,
"Your dad tried to spank you once and he cried instead."
He had a kind heart.
And I remember in grade school there was a little kid,
he was mentally retarded.
One day there was a bunch of us and we started
throwing bottle caps at him.
I picked one up and threw it--it smacked him in the head.
I turned around and my dad was standing there.
And I thought, Oops I'm really in trouble now.
But he looked at me, tears in his eyes, and he said,
"Maybe I didn't teach you how to look after others.
That's my fault."
You know, he could've stabbed me in the heart
and it wouldn't have hurt as much.
I don't know, maybe that's why I became a special ed teacher.
He had a lot of lessons that I hold onto to this day.
When I was young, I came home one day and I said,
"Dad, I was told that men don't cry."
He looked at me and he said, "Son, that's a lie.
If you don't cry, you don't get rid of that poison that's in
your body, that hurt, that pain.
That's the only way you can truly be strong."
That was one of the most powerful things
that I've learned from him.
And that's how I'll always remember him,
the way I'd want to be remembered--as a good man.

Avenatti Says Trump & Cohen Were "Worried About A Pregnancy" In 2016 - Duration: 3:44.
Michael Avenatti, the attorney who's basically taking on Michael Cohen, Donald Trump, Rudy
[Gulianni 00:00:05] everybody that he can get his hands on, tweeted out something very
explosive on Thursday morning and that explosive Tweet was this, "Breaking, Donald Trump conspired
with Michael Cohen to pay off multiple other women prior to election day in 2016.
They were also concerned about a pregnancy.
Cohen has evidence and info in his possession and it must be released to the public."
Now here's the thing about Avenatti's claim right here, so far since Avenatti became a
public icon here, he's been honest.
That's what should scare Trump supporters.
Avenatti's track record which he actually Tweeted about after sending this one, pretty
much 100% right now on being accurate with the things that he's saying.
I can not think of a single instance nor have I seen any specific article calling him out
for lying.
So if Avenatti says that this happened, we kind of need to trust him at the moment.
I'm not saying believe him, I'm saying trust him.
We also know for a fact that there are hundreds of other Trump, Cohen tapes that could very
soon be released to the public.
Hopefully not all at once, that's a lot of audio to go through and a lot of Trump conversations
to listen to, but nonetheless, Avenatti has a phenomenal track record.
So let's get to the heart of what he's claiming here, they were worried about a pregnancy.
What does that mean?
Does it mean that they knew somebody was pregnant and the had to pay to terminate it?
Is Donal Trump or did Donald Trump make a massive payment to basically act as 18 years
worth of child support?
How many other women were paid off?
How many potential pregnancies were there?
What happened to the pregnancy if it did exist?
All of these are questions that the American public doesn't really care about, right?
We don't need to know because none of that is necessarily relevant other than the payment
part.
The people who should be asking those questions though are those evangelical one issue voters
who think that things like abortion are the worst thing to ever happen to humanity.
Maybe you guys need to start looking at your own guy and find out what has happened here.
You are the ones who should be the most upset by this.
The rest of us pretty much expected it, but you guys, you hypocrites, you charlatans and
you false prophets, where are you on this issue?
Where are you asking, demanding that we get the rest of those tapes released so that you
can see if the man you're throwing your support behind blindly is in fact the kind of person
you absolutely claim to hate?
For the rest of us, let's worry about the criminality of it.
If these payments were made and Trump knew about them and they exceeded the $25,000 limit,
they are in kind contributions to the Trump campaign which would make every single payment
an individual felony.
That's the important part that we need to focus on, let the single issue voters deal
with the fact that they've put a man who may have paid for abortions in the White House.
That's a moral issue that they need to work out for themselves.
The rest of us, we'll focus on the criminality and work on getting this man behind bars where
he belongs.

Here's What I Think About the Nissan 370Z and More | Scotty Kilmer - Duration: 3:29.
rev up your engines, Amil says, your thoughts on a
Nissan 370z, okay they are fun to drive they're fast little sports cars, there's
no arguing that, now Nissan their quality has gone down
since they merged with Renault there's no questioning that, but they are fun sports
cars that said, be very cautious about buying a used one, because if you buy a used
sports car a nissan, lot of guys that drive those things they buy it and they beat
the heck out of them, and then when you buy them used, you got nothing but
problems, I have had lots of people that bought used ones they kicked themselves
they said, why did I buy you sports car the guy before me beat the heck out of
the car now it's a pile of junk, so if you are buying one used, you definitely
have to find a guy like me with a dealer level scan tool, who can go through it
all, spend an hour analyze it, most of the guys will charge maybe a hundred bucks
analyze it all and tell you what kind of shape it's in, and don't buy it naked and
then find out you got problems, have a mechanic knows what he's doing check it
out, before Tyler McDuffie says, Scotty my wife has an 07 Jeep Liberty sport
it had a recall for rear lower control arms, should I sell it once jeep fixes it
okay well you know it depends, I'm not a Jeep fan they don't hold up like they
did when I was a kid when Willys jeeps made them and they were solid, but it's a
2007 it's a 12 year old Jeep, you're not gonna get much for a 12 year old Jeep
so if it runs okay and they're fixing that stuff free under a recall and it's
not real high mileage, why not continue to drive it, because if you're curious
just see what it's going for what, you can sell it for and you probably can't
get much, and if you can't get much what's the point of selling something
and not getting much, you might as well drive until it falls apart and just get
rid of it, that's my old theory with cars you know, I mean I'm not a fan of the
jeeps but if you got one that it runs okay and your not going to get much when you
sell it, just drive until some big goes on then just get rid of the thing,
Todd says considering trading my 2017 subaru forrester XT with the
turbo WRX for a used 2017 Toyota Camry 2.5 to save money and reliability what
do you think, yet it's a very smart because that Camry can run forever, it's
gonna get much better gas mileage, they don't have had gasket problems like the
Subarus do, and it can last forever, that would be a very smart move if you want
to get better gas mileage and have a vehicle that lasts longer, I would
definitely do that, Steven the best says, Scotty a friend of mine recently bought
a 2015 Ford Focus with fifty two thousand miles for fourteen thousand
dollars certified pre-owned did he pay too much, yes far as I'm concerned he
paid too much money, you know if you got a Ford Fusion for that kind of money
that would be okay, because they're really well made, but the focus, that's one of
their cheaper made cars, and fourteen grand for fifty-two thousand miles, I would have
paid less, but you know if you buy it from a dealer they charge too much money
that's just how the thing goes, they just do, I just made a
video about why use cars cause so much money in the United States, watch that
and you'll learn a whole bunch about why cars cost too much in the United States
it's all about the collusion between the people that do this valuation books and
the companies that own them that sell used cars so, so if you never want to

This Period Of Time Keeping Fish Was My Worst - Duration: 7:37.
Greetings everybody, this is Paul the inventoryking.
Hope you guys are all having an awesome day and enjoying your fish.
If you could punch, subscribe button and hit that notification bell, I'd be honored for
you guys to join me on my channel and become subscribers and join me on my fish keeping
adventures.
So today I am talking about the worst day in fish keeping. Zenzo of Tazawa tanks asked
me to do this video.
I don't have a day.
I have a time period.
And those of you who are on my channel know what I'm talking about.
Those of you who are new, it was bad.
So my worst time in fish keeping has got to be in my fish room when I had all of those
issues where I was just losing fish left and right and not sure why I was losing them.
So I'm going to go ahead and show you guys the breeding groups that died on me.
This was a really bad time.
Again, these fish dying on me.
So the first group that we're going to be looking at here is my wild caught, or my old
wild group of Buccochromis Nototaenia.
These were imported, uh, and I was able to pick them up.
They were doing awesome.
These fish were thriving and doing great, breeding.
I had, I had a lot of positive going on.
Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, a couple of the males got picked on and, and didn't
make it.
I mean that, that happens, but the part that is really confusing was, female die, next
day another female die, day after that a female die next morning the male is out on the ground.
And I know a lot of people mentioned and said to me, that could have been an electrical
current in the tank that possibly caused the problem because the male just jumping out
of the tank is kind of out of the norm.
So that was definitely, I would say a contributing factor to the issues that I was having.
And it sucked.
It was absolutely horrible.
And not only that, but the fry that I had from those fish, they kept dying as well.
Um, after water changes, after feeding, it was just weird.
I tested my water, my water was fine, I tested my water source.
That's what I meant.
Everything was fine there.
It was just a strange, strange, strange thing.
Um, so the Buccochromis Nototaenia group going was absolutely horrible.
Now that's not all of it.
We're barely kinda getting started.
Well, maybe about halfway, but the other group that we're going to be looking at now is my
old breeding group of Placidochromis Phenochilus Mdoka White Lips.
Uh those of you who know the Mdoka White Lip is a gorgeous fish.
And um, I had a group that I absolutely loved.
They were spectacular and they started to die as well.
So you could see here, here's those Mdoka White Lips that I was talking about.
You can see that these are an absolutely beautiful group of fish, vibrant, bred all the time.
It was awesome.
And then all of a sudden, some of the females started acting up, kind of just hanging out
on the bottom of the tanks and well bottom of the tank because they were in one tank,
but the females would hang out at the bottom and kind of just sit there, real listless
and then when I would feed, sometimes they would eat a little bit, but they just became
extremely, extremely listless.
So I started to treat, um, I treated with Clout, I treated with General Cure, all kinds
of different things.
So I started to treat these fish and it seemed like maybe a few of them were pulling through.
Some of them weren't all the way sick, but I still treated them all because, I mean,
it was going berserk.
This was just a crazy time and ended up losing most of them.
Uh, some died right off the bat.
Then some kind of just throughout the rest of the, I don't know, month or two, they just
didn't, they didn't make it, my male died, It was, it was just a sad time, it was, it
was, it was the worst.
Um, and to boot I had some common haps that also were going through the same thing.
It just was weird, some kind of parasite, some kind of issue, that uh, was absolutely
the worst.
So some of the things that I learned though was I have a bleach bucket and a dechlorinator
bucket.
So every time I use any equipment in the fish room I always bleach it and then dechlorinate
just to make sure it's disinfected before it goes into another aquarium and that it
is also, uh dechlorinated with safe so that it's safe to go into the next tank
So there was that, that I learned, um, and just to be mindful.
So yeah, it was an absolutely horrible, horrible time.
It was the worst days of my fish keeping life, um, and I wish it upon nobody.
It was the worst and uh, but obviously now I'm through that, uh, this tank behind me
here was where the Mdoka White Lips were and I had to uh disinfect it and everything and
then this tank on this side, this is where the Bucco Noto were and that is disinfected
now and it's on its way to cycling.
It just was uh, it was bad, it was bad, it was bad, it was bad.
So that's it.
That was my worst day.
Well for me, days, time of keeping fish.
Um, and those comments down below.
What was your worst day?
What was your worst time?
Just what was the worst time that you had with your fish?
So that was my worst time keeping fish.
I hope that, uh, everybody never has to see this happen to them.
It is the worst.
I wanted say what's up to Zenzo for the call out on this.
So if you guys can like the video comment down below, what was your worst time in keeping
fish? did be descriptive.
Let us know.
Multiple comments, just fill up that common section, let us know, let's talk about it.
Let's see where each other were at and how we combated it and how we beat it.
And then if you guys can punch the subscribe button and Click on the notification bell,
I would be absolutely honored if you guys could do that and join me on my channel and
my fish keeping adventures.
You guys are amazing.
Thank you so much for watching the video stay tanked.

Host: This is Keep Moving Forward.
George H.W. Bush: Let the shameful wall of exclusion finally come tumbling down.
Host: Exploring the legacy and promise of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Ben McCarthy: My name is Ben McCarthy. I have from ADHD to hearing loss. Right now I'm coaching track for Special Olympics.
I've seen shifts since I've coached. I've seen people go, "I thought I couldn't do this." I've just said, "Hey, try this and see what you think." And I've actually seen some athletes keep doing it every year.
It's one of those great moments you get just as a coach stepping in their shoes, like, "Oh wow, I made an impact on this person's life."
You don't have to say, "My child's not good for this." There's an opportunity for everyone.
If you let them try, you're gonna always learn something new from a person with a disability that you never thought they could do.

How to Link your Self-Directed IRA - Duration: 1:55.
Hi I'm Melanie Alese from the Investor Relations team at YieldStreet.
Today I am going to walk you through the step-by-step process for investing via a Self-Directed
IRA.
Please note that currently the minimum investment size to participate with a Self-Directed IRA
is $50,000.
To begin you'll need to ensure that the custodian you're working with is compatible
with our platform.
We work with several custodians however some are not compatible with our processes so please
reach out to us first to check.
If you have a Self-Directed IRA with a compatible custodian, the next step is to obtain the
necessary information to set up your account.
This includes the account verification document from your custodian showing your name and
the account number of your self-directed IRA.
Additionally, you'll need the following information: the custodian's address, their banking instructions
for distributions, the custodian's EIN number and finally the date when your Self-Directed
IRA was opened.
Now you're ready to open an Self-Directed IRA account on YieldStreet.
Under manage account, you'll select "add new account" and then select Self-Directed
IRA.
After you fill out the appropriate fields, you'll be prompted to add your Self-Directed
IRA bank information.
Please ensure that funds are appropriately redirecting back to your IRA custodian.
After you make your first investment with your Self-Directed IRA, you will need to connect
with your custodian to see what documents they require to wire the funds for your investment.
All of the documents they might need pertaining to your investment can be found in your YieldStreet
portfolio.
As always, please reach out to investments@yieldstreet.com with any questions.
Thanks and have a great day!

What to Expect in a Litigation Finance Offering - Duration: 1:52.
Hi I'm Melanie Alese from the Investor Relations team at YieldStreet.
Today I'm going to walk you through what to expect after investing in a litigation
finance investment offering.
Over the lifetime of a litigation investment, you may see money flowing back into your account
not only in different dollar amounts but also at varying time intervals.
To begin, the day after your investment is marked active in your portfolio, it begins
earning interest on a daily basis.
Litigation offerings typically have event-based payment schedules, meaning that investors
receive payments following an event, or when individual cases within the underlying portfolio
settle.
This is also called a "settlement event."
Those payment dates and amounts cannot be pre-determined because when the cases will
settle is unknown ahead of time.
Investors can expect to receive several different payments throughout the targeted length of
the investment.
Further, when an individual case within a portfolio settles, if the amount to be distributed
to investors is greater than the current interest outstanding, then all outstanding interest
will be distributed and a portion of outstanding principal will also be repaid.
It is important to note that even after some principal is returned, the remaining principal
will continue to earn interest at the target annual yield.
On the other hand, if the amount to be distributed from the settled case is less than the total
current outstanding interest, then the distribution will go towards accrued interest only and
the return of principal will occur at a later date.
Thank you for watching!
