Youtube daily report Jul 18 2018

TIA: Denzel Curry is warning us all about the downside of fame on his new track,

"CLOUT COBAIN."

TIA: The track was produced by J Gramm and Mike Hector, and is the latest single from

Denzel's upcoming project 'TA1300.'

The song's lyrics are reflective of Denzel's own struggles with the pressures of fame.

And according to the music video's YouTube description, Denzel plans to use his upcoming

album to discuss some pretty serious topics, and we see the beginnings of this on "CLOUT COBAIN."

TIA: Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of the band Nirvana, who committed suicide at the age of 27.

This isn't the only Kurt Cobain reference, Denzel channels him in both his look and his lyrics.

The title of the track itself flips his first name to "clout" to make it more relevant

to Denzel's own message about today's generation of rappers.

TIA: While Denzel is actively resisting the negativity both on the track and in the video,

we see and hear his paranoia grow as the song goes on.

He echoes this same sentiment again in another verse later on.

TIA: But the track's visuals are what's really getting people talking.

Directed by Zev Deans, the video is a striking commentary on how today's music industry

treats artists and fans, similar to J. Cole's recent "ATM" music video.

TIA: We see members of the audience taking different pills, sipping lean, getting face tattoos,

and at one point Denzel holds up a gun up to flex for the camera like he's on IG live.

We also see Denzel with clown makeup being forced to perform at a circus in front of

a crowd of people, and being controlled by a ringleader, who at one point is seen taking

money from him, and literally commanding him to dance.

TIA: Since Denzel's last album in 2016, fans have been waiting for something new,

and "CLOUT COBAIN" is quite a comeback.

TIA: I'm Tia with Genius News bringing you the meaning and the knowledge behind the music.

Playing with Power: P-Values Pt 3: Crash Course Statistics #23 - Duration: 12:15.

Hi, I'm Adriene Hill, and Welcome back to Crash Course, Statistics.

In the last episode we talked about Null Hypothesis Significance testing and p-values and how

these two things help us make decisions about things we care about.

Like whether babies who drink non-dairy milk are more likely to have allergies, or whether

the number of hours you spend watching home makeover shows tends to increase with age.

We don't always come up with the right answer, even if it seemed reasonable.

We want to limit our errors as much as possible.

Today we'll talk about when and why we might get it wrong.

INTRO

In the last episode we briefly touched on "rejecting" the null hypothesis.

P-values tell us how "rare" or "extreme" our sample data would be if it really did

come from the null distribution.

Null means nothing so null hypotheses tend to say that there's no effect, or nothing's

going on.

For example, for whether babies who drink non-dairy milk are more likely to have allergies,

the null hypothesis (or H0) would be that there is no difference in proportion of babies

with allergies between babies who drink non-dairy milk, and those who do not.

In the case of home makeover shows, the null hypothesis might be that there's no relationship.

So the regression slope--or coefficient--between number of home makeover shows watched and

age would be 0:

By looking at this slope, we can see it's not exactly flat, but we don't know whether

this slope is due to a real relationship, or just random variation.

When we get low p-values, we "reject" the null hypothesis because we've decided

that our data would be pretty rare if the null was true since the probability of getting

data as or more extreme than ours is below our alpha level.

That's option 1.

Option 2 is that our p-value is not lower than our pre-selected cutoff which means that

we "fail to reject" the null hypothesis.

So, we've narrowed it down to two decisions: we can either reject, or fail to reject the null.

The null can either be true, or not true.

This means that there are four possible situations: either you correctly reject the null, mistakenly

reject the null, correctly fail to reject the null, or mistakenly fail to reject the null.

In two of these situations we make the correct decisions, and in the other two, we'd have

made an error.

The first error is called a Type I error, which is rejecting the null, even if it's true.

It can therefore only happen if the null is true.

Say we've decided that our alpha level is 0.05, so we'll reject the null if our p-value

is smaller than 0.05, which means that our sample is in the 5% most extreme values we

can expect to get if the null hypothesis were true.

So, if the null is true, 5% of the time, we'll still reject it mistakenly, just because we

happened to get a rare value.

The red shaded region represents all the values from the null distribution that would cause

us to decide to "reject" the null, even if it was true.

Since our type 1 error rate is equal to alpha, we get to choose exactly how often we are

willing to make Type 1 errors when we choose our alpha.

We control our Type I errors by explicitly deciding how often we'll make them.

We could also make an error by failing to reject the null hypothesis when it actually is false.

In order for the null hypothesis to be false, some other, alternative, hypothesis must be true.

We mentioned in the last episode that we don't actually know any specifics about which hypothesis

is correct when we "reject the null", it could be anything.

But we can estimate which distribution might be correct, we'll show it outlined in gray,

this helps us to compare two distributions instead of just looking at one.

We estimate the alternative distribution based on the mean and standard deviation of our

experimental group.

The sample mean is our best guess at what he effect size is, so we often use that if

we're estimating the alternative after we've collected our data.

But sometimes we want to estimate it before we collect data, in which case we use the

sample estimates from other, related studies.

We're assuming the Alternative (Ha) distribution looks like this.

Our cutoff line is still in the same place; it marks the cutoffs that tell us where the

5% most extreme values are.

Any value we get that is to the right of the line causes us to "reject the null" and

any value to the left of the line causes us to "fail to reject the null".

The cutoff value doesn't change depending on whether H0 or HA is true.

So, if the alternative is true, we still might fail to reject the null if we happen to get

a value that is to the left of the cutoff.

The blue shaded region shows you the values where we'll make this Type II error.

Just like the rate of Type I errors is equal to alpha, the rate of type II errors is equal to Beta.

Since we're only estimating what the alternative distribution looks like, we can't know what

Beta is for sure, but again we can estimate it by using our cutoff (alpha) and our best

estimates of the shape and position of our alternative distribution to find the approximate

area of the shaded region.

There's often a trade off between Type I and Type II errors.

Type I errors are essentially False positives: we think we've detected an effect, but there isn't one.

And Type II errors are False negatives: there was an effect, we just didn't see it.

And while both of these mean we were wrong, there's a lot of times where we may prefer

one type of error over the other.

Take smoke alarms.

While the sound of the smoke alarm going off is annoying, there's not a lot of cost to

having a false positive--or type I error.

All you have to do is press a button to reset it.

There is however a huge risk if your smoke alarm does not go off when there really is a fire.

For this reason, fire alarms tend to favor having type I errors over type II errors.

Which is why sometimes particularly long, hot showers can cause them to go off.

Better safe than sorry.

But yeah, turning off an alarm when you're naked and wet.

Not fun.

Think about someone in your life who is constantly worried, they operate on the assumption that

Type I errors--thinking there'll be an issue when there won't be--are preferable to Type

II errors--not preparing for a problem when there really could be one.

You can see on this graph that if we assume our null distribution is here, and the alternative

is here, then moving the cutoff threshold to the right will cause us--all other things

being equal--to have fewer type I errors.

But we'll have more type II errors since less of the null distribution is in the "reject"

region, and more of the alternative distribution is in the "fail to reject region".

And the opposite happens if we move our cutoff threshold to the left.

We'll have more False positives since more of the null is in the "reject" region,

but fewer False Negatives because less of the alternative distribution is in the "fail

to reject" region.

If the error types hard to keep straight, think of the Boy who cried wolf.

In that story the villagers first made a type I error (thinking there was a wolf when there

really wasn't), but by the end--and to the detriment of the little boy--they made a type

II error: thinking there WASN'T a wolf when there really.

Sometimes we do make the right decision and there are two ways to be right: either the

null hypothesis is true and we fail to reject it, or the null hypothesis is false and we

do reject it.

If the null is true, you'll reject it 1 - alpha of the time.

When alpha is 0.05 that means that when the null is true, we'll correctly fail to reject

0.95 or 95% of the time.

If the null is false and the alternative is true, we'll correctly reject the null 1-Beta

of the time.

If Beta--the proportion of times we will fail to reject the null even though it's false--is

10%, then we'll correctly reject the null 90% of the time.

This proportion (1-Beta) is called our statistical power.

As the name suggests, statistical power is really important and something that we want.

I mean, it's a power.

I want powers!

Statistical power tells us our chance of detecting an effect if there is one.

Imagine we design a study to look at whether fish oil makes cat's hair shinier and it

has 80% statistical power.

That means we know that if there really is an effect of a certain type of fish oil and

if we ran the same experiment multiple times with different samples of cats, the data from

80% of the experiments will lead us to make the correct decision and reject the null hypothesis

that fish oil has no effect.

This is important because the whole reason that we do experiments is to see whether there's

an effect.

We don't just test whether fish oil makes cat's hair shiner just for fun, we want

shinier cats!

Statistical power tells us about our ability to detect these effects if they exist.

It would be a waste of time and money to run an experiment on whether people who play video

games have quicker reaction times than those who don't if we only have an estimated 20%

power, because that means that even if there gameplay effects reaction time, we often wouldn't

be able to tell.

Experiments cost money, so if you're going to go through the process of growing cells

in a petri dish, or of giving cats fish oil you want to be relatively confident you'll

be able to detect an effect if there is one.

Visually we see that statistical power is affected by how much the null and alternative

hypothesis distributions overlap.

The more they overlap, the less statistical power we'll have, because less of the alternative

distribution will be to the right of the cutoff.

There are two main ways to get the two distributions to overlap less.

Either you can move them further apart, or you can make them skinnier.

The distance between the mean of the two distributions represents something called "effect size".

If we're looking at the difference between two groups--like level of neuroticism between

cat people and dog people--effect size tells us how big the difference in neuroticism is

between the two groups.

If effect size is large, the groups are further away from each other, if it's small, they're

pretty close.

If two things are really different from each other, it's easier to tell them apart.

Say we're researching whether the amount of time people spend in the sun leads to more freckles.

If one group that spent 10 minutes in the sun led to an average of 5 new freckles over

the body, it'd be a lot harder to tell than if 10 minutes in the sun led to an average

of 500 new freckles.

Unfortunately, effect size is largely out of our control.

Researchers can't magically change the efficacy of a drug, or the difference in heart rate

between people who do kickboxing and people who do Crossfit.

We can also make our distributions overlap less by making them skinnier.

And remember, the null and alternative distributions are just sampling distributions.

We've seen that as you increase the size of your samples, the distribution of sample

means gets thinner.

And all other things being the same, they overlap less and we have more power to detect an effect.

This shrinking represents the fact that in general, the more data we have, the more information

we have.

Thankfully we can change sample size.

It might be a pain to sample more people, feed more cats more fish oil, or measure more

ocean temperatures, but at least it's within our control, unlike effect size.

And that's just what researchers do.

We already mentioned that if we're going to take the time to run an experiment or do

a study... we want to make sure it has sufficient power to detect any effects out there, and

since almost everything else is out of our control, scientists will increase their sample

size to get sufficient statistical power to detect these effects.

Across many fields it's considered sufficient to have 80% statistical power or more, and

often when researchers are designing studies, they'll decide how many subjects they need

based on estimates of effect size and power.

So now you're playing with power…and in the next few episodes we'll talk a lot more

about exactly when and how you can use p-values, and also some completely different methods

for testing ideas.

Thanks for watching, I'll see you next time.

US border economy rocked by Trump's Mexico rhetoric - Duration: 2:50.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

When do we beat Mexico at the border?

They're laughing at us, at our stupidity.

And now they're beating us economically.

They are not our friend, believe me.

When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best.

They're bringing drugs.

They're bringing crime.

They're rapists.

And some, I assume, are good people.

But I speak to border guards, and they tell us

what we're getting.

We don't see the issues that Washington sees.

We see the good.

We see the trade.

We see the people coming across the border.

The port of entry here in Nogales, Arizona

handles, depending on the figures that you quote,

but it could be up to $32 billion

worth of goods through the port of Nogales.

About $17 billion of that is trade

that Arizona has directly with Mexico.

And we depend maybe 90% on the Mexican visitor

to come and shop on our side.

Our tax base here in the city depends greatly

on Mexican shoppers.

And our tax base here in Nogales has gone down substantially,

so it has affected us quite a bit.

NAFTA is something that both countries

have been working together on, and it goes just beyond trade.

It goes into the effects that it has on migration policy.

It affects the economy in Mexico.

The economy in Mexico has grown, and therefore, the people

in Mexico have stayed in Mexico to work instead of wanting

to come to the US to work.

The Mexican government and its leadership

has made many disparaging remarks about--

We have created a message in Mexico,

and many countries around the world,

that we don't welcome people from other countries.

It's been really hard in the last couple of years.

The change of messaging, the change of dialogue,

or what we're seeing coming from the US,

and a lot of people from Mexico saying,

I'm not going to the US, just as a matter of making a statement.

When $1 from Mexico is coming to the US,

$0.40 of that dollar actually are from the US.

So when a car from the Ford Motor Company

plant in Mexico, it's coming across the border, at least 40%

of the materials actually are from US manufacturers.

So we need that relationship.

We need that.

And NAFTA created, back then, a lot of jobs in the US.

Texting a Girl You Just Met? DON'T Make These 5 Mistakes - Duration: 4:11.

Heya playa, if you're watching this video chances are when you text a girl or a crush

you just met, it doesn't end up going anywhere.

So I want to share 5 mistakes you're probably making whenever you start that initial text

right after this.

For those of you that are new here, my name is Josh and every single Monday through Friday

I make videos sharing tips, ideas and stories teaching you how to be your best self now

we've all been in that situation before.

You text someone you like, they don't end up responding or they give you a short message

and you end up feeling like man, where did I go wrong?

Well, the most common mistake that people make is that their text messages are just

too boring.

You're sending things like "Hey?

What's up?

How are you" and you're putting it on the other person to carry the conversation.

If I were a person who got lots of different messages, no one who sends me a message saying

"Hey, what's up?" is gonna stand out from anyone else.

And I get it, you're just trying to set the framework for how the conversation is gonna

go.

But the problem there is that if the person sees that your initial texts are boring, chances

are they're going to assume that the rest of the conversation is going to be boring

too.

So you want to start off with someone more powerful, something more engaging, something

that will keep their interest.

The second mistake that most people make is that they come off too strong and they end

up being annoying.

You're sending your crush too many messages, you're asking them too many times "Hey, where

are you?

What's going on?

Why aren't you answering me?

Why are you ignoring me?" and that annoys the heck out of them.

There will be times where your crush can't respond in that moment so they just don't

answer you.

In fact, I went more in-depth on yesterday's video so go check it out over here.

But basically the idea is this, if you're constantly bombarding your crush with texts

that's gonna hurt your chances, it's not going to increase the likelihood of them responding.

They're gonna see a wall of text and say "man, I don't even want to engage with that".

Take baby steps, you want to ease into that conversation.

You don't want to bombard them with a lot of information all at once because it's going

to be overwhelming and guess what, you're going to run your chances overall.

The third mistake that a lot of people make is that they come off too sexual.

You try to flirt a little too hard and say things or send things to them that's just

inappropriate.

Keep in mind you just met this person or they finally decided to give you their number.

That doesn't mean you should say things like "I love you" or "You're so beautiful" or "Hey,

can you send me a naughty pic?".

If you do any of that early on, all you're going to end up doing is making that person

regret giving you their number.

They're gonna sit there and think "Man, this was a bad decision".

The fourth mistake a lot of guys tend to make is actually the opposite of the last point.

They friend zone themselves.

They don't demonstrate any interest in that person at all which leads the person to think

"Hey, this is just a friendly casual conversation".

Remember, the whole purpose of getting this girls number is to see if you can lead it

to something with her.

If you're not gonna display that confidence when you're talking to her and you just kind

of put your tail between your legs, she's gonna read that energy from you early on and

she's just gonna assume that you're not that interested.

And the fifth mistake that most people tend to make is that they don't lead the texting

conversation to hanging out in person.

By not moving it to the next step, eventually that conversation becomes boring and dry and

that person starts to feel like "Hey, this really isn't going anywhere".

Something I talk about a lot is to show a girl how you feel instead of telling her how

you feel.

It's one thing to just say "Hey, I like you" but it's a whole other thing to just ask her

to hang out, to spend time with her one on one getting to know her better, having that

in-person interaction and really seeing how the two of you vibe and then letting the relationship

naturally develop.

Letting feelings naturally develop rather than just doing this "Hey, I like you.

What do you think about that?".

So if you're texting them for the first time try to drop a hint that if the conversation

goes well, the two of you might hang out.

Leave that low dangling fruit so they can see that "Hey, I'm on board with this too".

We've all made mistakes when it comes to texting but I'm curious to know which one of these

five you've done the most.

So leave your comments down below, share your thoughts and ideas and hopefully other people

who read them can learn from them too.

On that note guys, check out the playlist I have over there on the side where I go more

in depth on how to build a relationship with someone through text.

The power of text is incredible you can do a lot with it so, that playlist is definitely

gonna help you out.

On that note guys, I'll catch you tomorrow.

As always, love and peace.

Detrás De Camaras 🎥 Grabó En Calzones 😂 🦄 Bessy Dressy - Duration: 18:33.

🦄👋 Hello, my beautiful people, I hope you are very well. Today we will be

recording for me so I decided make behind the scenes with the

blog camera so I'm going to be showing everything that I do in the

serve I do when you recorded videos the today I'm going to record them the tutorial

of some loose waves that I did the another day and I shared a picture with them

instagram and many more told me that They liked it and I loved it

also so today I'm going to record this tutorial and I also think

I'm going to make a video of clothes using in europe and I have exposed this

video has me super excited then these are the videos that I want to record

today is 11 and 20 already I signed up good and I did a makeup

and now I'm going to show you the disorder that I have here after doing the

I'm also going to show you the lights the camera that I use and everything

so if you want to know my mess and I from three of cameras think

to watch this video and this one here is my clutter after doing me the

makeup although it already saves some little things but always that mess

brushes I have a camera over here also with the lenses well this is my

small mess that I have to order and over there is my baby the loquita to see

the one that beats really is little ball hairs this photo I took it when the

we just brought to the house and then this is where I have my makeup on

makeup that he used this is the makeup I have here and there what I

I'll show you later where I have makeup that I like then yes this

It's my little mess and like the day of today I'm going to record a hair tutorial

and I have the little things ready that is my pincers the combs the products he used

my water that I could not miss here is my camera this is the camera if I

use that is the canon and right now it I just bought this lens that is

super teeny that's supposed to be better the quality of the videos so I'm going

to be using these are the lights that I use the umbrellas for

record in this area here this is the background this is what you always see

and also apart from these are days use Well, the natural light of the day and also

this how can you see here I have this this light here is white too

then that helps me and this is the world that you normally see when I'm

recording in this area I removed some products that affect that came to me and

Well, I have not taken them out yet there is the window he is as you can see the

today today is cloudy

it's super cloudy and over here with this background is where I take the pictures for

the covers of the videos or for the tournaments and also here he recorded these

lights and hours accommodate other forms of you see them right now because this

and I put them here as usual you this one or how you normally used them

as you can see here I have a mirror then it reflects then that does not

like so right now to record them I have here but afterwards I'm going to

show how it is that I accommodate them for take my photos because obviously

first I'll do the video and these I'm going to take the photos for the cover

of the video look here the cables my appointments with my blanket because we are not going to

sit on the tracks but more so It is always a little blanket and also because

here I have a mess a chair with a clothes the skins and everything I have there

and this is the bottom the other when that you see that this is where we record

usually the outfits and over here I am

as you can see giving this light and is giving some shorts or going to form him

we could say because I'm going to be recording but I usually walk in

calzones days 10 heard it well usually me

what happens is that it's hot here terrible today is not so hot and because

that reason is that I'm going to record a tutorial every time I'll take advantage

because it's usually hot terrible and I can not stand it and for

record hair tutorials especially with the pliers or with the

iron is super difficult because it starts to sweat like crazy plus the lights

lights and these also produce heat so

it's a pretty uncomfortable situation like that that they already put it in shorts but after

I put some pipes to sing from I prepare I will be here but if right now

I'm going to start recording and when then bringing the lights out there

back to take my photos also I'm going to show you how I put them

all this and well basically not today I have a lot of clutter because I'm going to record

the video the hair with the clothes not I know how much spring I'm going to do

because also because I'm going to wear the clothes of my husband but he usually put together a

terrible disorder when a bards of purchases the other day to the other day

by great I showed you the disorder clutter

that I had here because I did because I recorded a shopping video and that video of

purchases are going to see it today day that I am recording this video

then that day yes or take account that I had clothes all over this room

in the bed on the floor at the table by all sides then share them for

by instagram because that mess was not normal because there is a tremendous mess

then this possible now I'm going to finish preparing to record the

hair tutorial and well I see them in a while

all right

same

here

in the sea

I am using this wand that is quite and the temperature

and now yes now we are

using this wand

at temperature

and if we use a wand that we are going to remain fairly defined remains so

for this one it is enough

and as you can see, I've finished recording the tutorial of the waves and that's how

is going to found I love them they look super pretty so what I'm going to do now

is to organize the lights in order to take my photos and I show you

how am I going to organize them and I'm also going to turn off the umbrellas

because I do not need them that way anymore what hands to the work

that's also how I put them big goes up these two go to the side

the rhythm goes in the middle and then the camera low

behind the remake only that I have that accommodate well then here is where

I take my cover photos right now they are a little dark dark power sorry

but ours is so dark and that is the disorder seen from here

this study is from the 220 always me I keep but right now that's nothing

as I tell you when I make ideas of Disorder is even bigger

but if you look they can see better these are my lights now if I already have the

camera ready then I'm going to start to take the pictures and now I show you

how do I do it and that's how it is everything organized

Y

and I finished with the hair tutorial day I took the pictures and everything right now I'm

I'm sweating I'm hot despite the fact that today it's not a hot day yet it's still

in constant heat because being low So much light produces a lot of heat too and

I just wanted to show you this is the remote that I use to take my photos

because as you can see I do everything alone so I alone nobody takes me

the photos and use this super control tiny and good now I think it's the

one then I'm going to record the another video of the outfits to see how

new I have not yet measured the outfits that I do not really know what it is

what I'm going to combine but let's see how are we doing and now I'm going to

be showing also the behind camera when you are recording that video

and I'm ready to record the second dress videos and here they come with

this shirt that I'm putting on clothes using my husband's clothes do not

can teach because these outfits are to see in the video but right now

I'm going to show camera how is it that I do it and how I eat

the lights and all that, so let's go with the behind the scenes

I hope you are very well in the today

using this shirt and he asks why good so today I'm going

to be recreating all uses clothes of my husband here I already have the

first story ready

do not

i

i and I've finally finished the

imbeciles I'm super super tired Now it's 4 o'clock and today I've recorded

three videos including this behind cameras and I feel tired because

I usually get tired after doing everyone's videos because I have to be

taking off my clothes and also these outfits did not have them at all

planned so I had to figure them out and now I'm wearing a shirt from my

husband I do not know what video they will see first did not serve the outfits or this video is

more likely to see the video of the attires so when you share them

this video, they must have seen great and then I'm going to

show my mess I ended up with a disorder there is more or less not so bad

but this my makeup no longer gives for I can not stand it anymore

that normally what I do right now and after recording and everything I'm going to remove

the makeup tied my hair and I'm leaving to make good dinner although today is a day of

video today is Wednesday and then it's going to upload a video so before I go

make dinner and that everything is fine with the video already

then I take off all this so now I'm going to show you very

small mess that I have to organize the normal disorder

normally he organized after dinner and watching a movie or the time depends

in which I finished recording not now As I tell you, it's going to be 4 o'clock

It's 4, so I have to go running and checking the video already after

do the rest and then that does not work anymore to give time to organize my mess

I've got to get there sweetie to see also because if you

they gave an account all day I've been recording and I have not been with her so

it's also about getting to go to give him a lot of love he cited my dog and

as you can see this is the little mess that I

I have shoes around here other than you already order them then

I have clothes, they wrap my husband lights over here the tripod we have to

organize they heard that there is the already telling me man in this part is also

abandoned then I have to organize all this lights here and so the

I stop, I do not return them, I love them then as usually they are already only

I have to organize this little mess that I have there and now I do already after

to have shown them all my disorder I have to dismiss let me tell you

let me confess that I am developing I'm never liking

I thought I'm going to like it but I do not know I feel like more more I like this

I do not have to practice it or anything so I feel good many of you

they told me that in the first blog they I shared that they noticed an accent

different and all that and look what happens that when I record videos like this

tutorials and usually help videos which is what I share more than me

I try to use the right words the words that will understand me all

you regardless of what country they are

then this deal very much that no I get a Honduran word because

you will not understand me and you They know that my content is directed

to the entire Latino community not only for the people of Honduras then

when I'm talking here in front of the camera without practicing and without anything I think

I can not get it out of Honduras control

then I already speak as with another accent that's what you told me to fly from those

I did not notice the big difference but with you several told me that so

Well, I think that's how they are I say here I feel more I deal with this

I try not to be wrong, either because it's also difficult here in my

home with my posts I pass it speaking english everything I do here is

in English my social networks are in indexes I have everything in English

so I speak more Spanish with you and also with my family although with my

nephews who live in Canada I always speak English with them

but be good let me tell you that I I'm very happy that I started doing this

of youtube in Spanish because if not I was doing this on YouTube

I was in college obviously that would be like

what he was doing full time and I think if I was not doing

this my Spanish was going through the clouds very bad this because I think that good

although when we moved to this house and so when we move from this house I

I was taking out and going several classes and I was also preparing for the

university and in that time my Spanish it was wrong and I was even pronouncing

many words wrong because I was going to classes every day then and then the

classes were only in English so That makes me very happy to be able to

be able to practice both languages at the same time then there is giving me heat

with this shirt then I'm happy and although you know that sometimes

pronounced words bad deal good deal in another in another video we like other

little things that I would like to tell you but I already have to fire

I have to go and you can not take it anymore makeup can not stand these clothes anymore

arm is hurting me I feel tired and well how did you see all these hours

they take to record videos and that's not all

here the edition is still missing that by the moment is what is costing me the most

avoid editing edit so less in each video I will go to take some

4 hours good but genes that I will carry less because I do not have to

a lot but I usually get 4 or 5 hours everything depends on what kind of video

be but this one just wanted to show you what what happens behind all that you

come but good now I say goodbye you thank you very much if you accompanied me

so far remember to subscribe to channel activate the music bell of

notifications follow me on my networks social and the whole thing all this is going to

be here in the little box information I say goodbye

I say goodbye I send you many kisses and many hugs and I see them until

the next

4 Unique Tiny House Tours: VW Bus, School Bus Conversion, Vardo Gypsy Wagon and Micro Home - Duration: 14:36.

the tiny house movement has been growing quickly which is what brought us to the

tiny house fest in Vermont. We were there to show off our tiny house on wheels and

check out the other tiny homes. There were some tiny house builders who had a

few tiny houses for sale. Although they were unfinished you could get an idea of

what the tiny house will look like when it's done. These were four of our

favorite tiny houses at the tiny house fest. I'm Colby and this is our bus! this

is Dharma she's a 1975 VW camper yeah so I got her

a couple years ago 2015 and once I bought her she was not running just a

real hunk of junk but I gave her a lot of love and fixed her up with my stepdad

and did a lot of work on the inside which I like to show you guys so we got

two closets back here this one is the clothing closet which is fairly small

and holds all our stuff that we have right now we're at just at this little

tiny house festival so we don't have it packed out the way we would when we were

traveling for you know during the year but we were able to fit everything in

there totally totally fine granted two pairs of pants one pair of shorts and

then this closet over here naturally the VW bus is known for breaking down and

last time we were on a road trip we broke down for a month in Texas so we

need our spare parts suitcase and also we have our duct tape our other kinds of

tape and also the Bible of Oh the Volkswagen the John Muir book of how

to maintain your BW and keep it alive so this was very helpful

it is definitely essential there's so many things to learn and all these

different designs of how to fix it yourself which

i think is really cool this is our bed it's not this short we actually have a

backrest which is up here so we'll put it up here when we're parked and along

with our instruments which we always carry with us and there's a yoga mat up

there too and frisbee is also essential so this comes down and we'll put it in

this little space that pulls up here so we'll just fit it in there and that's

how it becomes a full-length bed by the way the passenger seat very comfy I like

that Auto recline function yeah very high-tech it's held together

ratchet straps at this point yeah so this bus did not have the swivel seat

passenger chair like it does now because like you can see the back of the

driver's seat over here there's this metal frame here and that actually holds

the seat up there's nothing like actually holding the seat together like

that so if you get rid of this backrest the thing would just flop backwards or

flap forward which we found out when I cut off the metal piece the metal

backing of the chair there so the first time I was traveling on the road for

about five months I lived out in Boulder Colorado with my buddy and we worked in

the mountains during the summer as campground hosts and I used to have like

a little herb garden thing back there on the back side of the chair but it just

wasn't a better to have more space than to have a little herb garden and

bookshelf yeah which we could always do here it's a

did you guys build all this stuff out yourselves Colby did yeah yeah I built

it all out this was really before I knew REI I started working on it and it took

me about a year I took about a year building and finding all the different

little pieces and because a lot of it is pal wood but I did buy stuff when I

needed to like the cedar panels and the siding up here

even the sidings of all the doors and everything I made these panels to fit on

there and up there I've had to replace like four or five of these windows the

windshield is new that I did not put in does he have to have someone do that

professionally I love thanks yeah people tend to really like this and I just got

the sink as a gift from someone so that was really awesome yeah I guess he owned

an antique yeah she just had it in the basement and she's like I've been saving

this for years and I'm glad that you could have it now you know but yeah its

foot pump activated so we got like six gallon tank in here I guess I could open

up and show you two and our common and our compost what was your inspiration

behind the design I really just loved the like the cabin look so that was

really that was really a trying to see how I could make this little space look

like a kind of a rustic camper cabin I think I was able to do that but also the

whole like kind of a hippie Indian sort of vibe you know like sixties music and

stuff like that so my grandmother helped me make these curtains they're like

Indian sari curtains really it's just like a curtain from Pier one Imports

that was cut oh this is I tried to fix that on the way here while he was

driving yeah something always needs to be fixed

so that's one of them

there's always something to tinker with always something to work on you're never

bored hi my name is Blair and I'm here with tiny bus big adventure and Wayne

the bus this is a 1954 ford wayne school bus that we found in a junkyard in

colorado and it was missing the engine and missing the a lot of the windows so

we tried to preserve parts of the bus that were still usable and turned the

rest of it into our tiny house here we have the main living space my husband

myself and our two dogs living here full-time we have a queen-size bed

underneath it we have our little dog den and his and her closets and then in the

far back we have extra storage for traveling over here we have our sink and

fridge and kitchen space pantry is underneath the kitchen and that sits

right up over the original will wheel wells behind this wall over here we have

the bathroom which it's quite large for a tiny house bathroom but we wanted to

be able to have a little bit of separation between each other this is a

set furred camping toilet we are currently saving up for a

composting toilet or incinerating toilet but the thought per toilet holds about

five gallons and you're able to dispose of it like normal human waste and either

a dump station or a toilet my favorite feature is actually the shoe shelf in

the front cabinet so the shoe shelf here is all ends of the trees that are on the

property that we currently live on and when you open it up it's currently

hiding different gadgets and gizmos but it is

our usual shoe shelf so you come in here and take your shoes off make yourself at

home and then come all the way inside

honestly my favorite thing about the bus is the blue curved roof a lot of times

I'll sit in bed and stick my feet up on the roof but there's something about the

patina mixed with this robin egg blue that just really soothes the soul

when we found it in the junkyard the driver's window had been shot through it

with bb's and we decided that we wanted to keep as much of the original windows

as possible because they're magical like you don't ever see this kind of swooping

slightly curved window and any other kind of architecture so we really wanted

to keep it so one of the funny things in the 1950s is there was still smoking

everywhere so a lot of school bus drivers would smoke cigarettes well they

picked the kids so the original ashtray and the original

glovebox and we like to keep this because it has the serial number from

when it was an actual running Ford School Bus and though the company Wayne

works has since gone out of business you're still able to track Wayne school

buses every so often we're currently reconfiguring our water system so at the

moment we don't have running water but we do have tanks underneath and we have

solar panels they're not currently on the top of the bus because we've taken

them off we're building a tiny house as well so they're going on to our our new

tiny house and this is just the right height to standing yeah if you're

wearing a cap the top button of your cap will probably knock the ceiling but I'm

510 and have a pretty okay height well the

nice thing is with the rounded corners are no rough edges that you're gonna hit

yourself know there used to be our last a lot of people have toured it in our

last version of this we recently reconfigured it but we used

to have the original shelves here and it just made the whole space feel very

small and you'd always knock your head so we took those down and are currently

figuring out what to do with them thank you so much hey how's it going I'm Chris

from tiny industrial here in Vermont at the tiny house fest and this is what I

brought with me is called little wings a small micro house built on a utility

trailer I left the back porch on here or basically turned what is normally the

ramp to one of these things into a porch this is built on a six and a half foot

by 10 foot trailer I try to I try to build these to get people to think a

little bit out of the box some people look at these and they go oh where's the

bathroom where's the kitchen and let every structure has to have those

necessarily so let me show you around inside you'll you'll see what I'm

talking about it's not a lot of houses you'll you'll find that have first-class

airplane seats but this one does look at the tray tables everything works and

then over here we've got a full-size bed memory foam mattress and a rather large

TV so when people ask me you know what is this what is the structure intended

to do oh and one of my skateboard lamps up here

I like repurposing and recycling upcycling things when people ask me what

is this kind of structure intended to do it's well it's it's whatever you want it

to do right and that's that's kind of the the mantra that I try to promote

this would be great for Netflix binge watching I always tell people that this

is a great sort of additional space in somebody's backyard could be a guest

house could be a pool house so also be a wonderful thing to take to you

know the local football game and set up the barbecue for tailgating that type of

stuffs so the weight is pretty light it's it's right around 1700 pounds can

be towed by you know your average SUV Ford Explorer or similar and pricing on

this this would be around $15,000 but I I like to work with customers in terms

of what their specific needs are and and if somebody's interested in having one

of these tiny structures my first question to them is always like what do

you want to use it for and you know you you ask that question and a hundred

times and you'll get a hundred different answers usually right some people want

to travel some people want to use it as a as a vending space at craft shows

other people like I said one sort of a guest space in their backyard a place

for the kids to hang out and so on and so on so it's really about what it is

that you want and need and creating that space

you

Here's What I Think About the Dodge Avenger in 1 Minute - Duration: 1:02.

Rev up your engines!

JMDO98 says, Scotty I have a 2014 Dodge Avenger with 55,000 miles what do you of it and do

you think I should change the transmission fluid,

ok I am not a Dodge fan, but it's a fast car, it's fun to drive, I definitely would change

the transmission fluid, I would change it every 50,000 miles religiously because they

have weak transmissions, that's just how they go, I'm assuming you got an automatic transmission,

now one of the reasons I don't like them is because if you look at the resale value, when

those things get to be older, their values just plummet, and the plummet

because they have problems, but if you want a lower priced car with a

lot of speed, a lot of guys like them, the buy them new, they keep them for so many years,

and then they get another one, or they just lease them, there's nothing wrong

with leasing them if you don't mind the lease payments,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to ring

that bell!

13 THINGS I'VE LEARNT IN LIFE - Duration: 11:43.

Hey everyone, I'm Shiza

welcome back to my YouTube channel

I know, I've been M.I.A for sometime and I always say that

but I've been having exams and I'm also just lazy

so that's why I didn't make a video before.

but today I'm back with yet another video

and today I'm gonna be a wise person to be honest

like I'm gonna tell you guys all of the things or at least some of the things that I've

learnt in my life

I am kind of a pretty observant person

I learn things from other people's experiences

or something that I've experienced

or like slightly experienced, like, not completely experienced

but I learn things from like random stuff

so I decided to share them with you guys

and I hope you guys enjoy my video

don't forget to give this video a big thumbs up

and subscribe to my channel

if you want more videos like this

so, if you guys learn something from it and you'd like to share it with your family

then show them the video

and hopefully they learn something too

and also it was my birthday recently and

I've seen a lot of people make videos

on their birthdays like

30 things I've learnt in 30 years of my life

and all of that but

these things are less than my age so

it's not exactly like that

but it is somewhat similar

so I hope you guys enjoy this video

so, let's get started

in no particular order

one of the things I've learnt in my life is

that you should never get attached to things like

especially the material things

because you never know if tomorrow you'll be able to have them or not

because everything is temporary

like you should get attached to some people and your family

like people who are special to you

your friends and all of that but

not material things because

you never know what tomorrow might bring

so stay away from getting attached to material things

this I've learnt by

other people's experience to be honest

like not my experience

that much

yeah, my life isn't that bad

number two is that

you should forgive people

even if you don't like them, even if you're enemies or anything like that

but forgive people

because you never know if tomorrow

they'll be alive and then you'll regret it

you'll regret that why didn't I forgive that person

forgive people but don't ever forget

what they've done to you

or someone else will do the same exact thing and just walk away

so, just learn to forgive but not forget

and also don't give other people or a lot of people

the chance to hurt you that much

because just like don't go on sharing all the personal things with any random person

most of the time, people you're friends with right now are gonna be your enemies in the future

so you never know what's gonna happen so,

you should give other people the least amount of information about yourself

as you can because

it won't be pretty when your best friend becomes your enemy

and they have all of the weapons to destroy you

so just be careful about that

if you forgive people,

it'll make your heart clear like

you won't feel burdened

when you forgive people because

if you're... don't hold grudges basically

if you hold grudges then it's not a good thing for you

for your mental health

and for that other person as well

even if it's an enemy

just don't do that

number three is, like I have

learnt this the hard way, you can say

NEVER expect anything from anyone

even if it's your family or your friends

or even a significant other

you should never expect too much from them

because people have that problem

like, everyone has that problem

that people cannot reach our expectations

because it's human nature that we expect too high from the people we love

and they may not be able to fulfill that

so, you should just keep your expectations to minimum

you won't get hurt

you'll be happy, you'll live a happy life

Number four is that

to appreciate the small things in life

because it's really the small things in life that matter

you do remember the big things but basically it's the small things because

when someone does something small for you

you'll remember it like

if someone remembers your birthday

then you'll be like "Oh yeah, you remember my birthday"

you should appreciate the small things because it's the moments that make life

because in life you're gonna have so many bad moments

and a lot more good moments so

just appreciate the good moments

because life is basically a collection of all of the moments

so, if you appreciate the good ones, you won't feel as bad about the bad ones

Number five is that, you should

accept your flaws

like your insecurities, like

if you're insecure about a physical thing

about your body then

just accept it because if you accept it then,

you won't be that insecure about it and it won't be that visible

I'd even say, "Flaunt your flaws"

people will have a problem, even if you're perfect

they'll find something in you, that'll be a flaw

to them

because everyone has different standards of beauty

of perfection

so, the person you find perfect, someone else might not

so, just accept who you are

and there's always gonna be someone out there who will find you perfect

so, just accept yourself and accept your flaws

and don't give yourself punishment for something you didn't even do

because your physical appearance, you have nothing to do with that

because you were born with it

like these are all genetics

I'm tall because of my genetics

I'm broad, like my bones are broad

because of that, there's nothing I can do about that

I can't just cut my bones in half

you shouldn't let people

define beauty for you

you should define it yourself

because other people's standards of beauty

and other people's definition of beauty is

definitely gonna be different

than your standards of beauty

than what you think that beauty really is

so, just don't listen to these people

and do you and accept your flaws

Number six is something

we all should learn

and even if we don't learn it by our-self then

we have to learn it sometime in our life

it is to survive on your own

you should know that all your life, you're not gonna have a person

who'll help you in surviving

so, it's like you should know how to drive, you should

know how to like, deal with other people

deal with like shopkeepers and all of those people like

outside world because if you don't

then you'll be lost in your professional life because

after studying, everyone has to get out there

just don't depend on other people too much

Number seven is that you should not

regret the decisions you've made in your life

and the things that you've been through in your life

because everything we go through

all of the things that we're put through

in our life, they're there for a reason

like everything, every single thing happens for a reason

if you did one thing different that day

then everything would've been different the next day

learn from the mistakes but don't regret them

because it was meant to happen so, it did happen

Number eight is that you shouldn't

trust anyone "blindly"

you can trust people like your friends and anyone but

when it comes to blindly, you can trust your family blindly but only in some cases

because sometimes even family betrays you

like in lion king, scar killed his brother

Number nine is that,

you should stand up for yourself

don't let other people say stuff about you and you'll

just be quiet and like huh yeah you said that about me

if something should be your decision and someone else is making decision for you

and you don't like that decision then

just tell them that you're not supposed to make decisions for me

I'm supposed to make decisions for myself

if you do that, then you'll succeed at life

just take your stand

if you let other people trash you, then you're not gonna survive in our society

because today's society is just too hard to compete with

and you should stand up for yourself and you should make your own decisions

even if you are indecisive

I, myself am indecisive like

I can't make decisions but I

shouldn't let others make decisions for me like

I should make them myself because

because that's how you learn. You make mistakes and you learn from them

Number ten is that you should treat others

the way you want to be treated

if you want someone to be nice to you then you have to be nice to that person

even if that person isn't nice to you

even though you've been nice to them

if you continue being nice to them then they are gonna be nice to you

eventually

just treat everyone with the same respect

even if it's the CEO or the janitor

be kind actually like

you never know what tomorrow might be

if you say something to someone and they hold a grudge against you then

you'll have to pay for it long time

so, just don't do that

Number eleven is that you should be grateful

for everything in life, all the ups, all the downs

all the mistakes

all the goods, all the bads.

just be grateful for them because

they are the reason that you are who you are today

just accept all of the things that have happened to you in your life

and just move on

that way you'll lead a good life

Number twelve is that

never underestimate

the ability of something to make you smile

for myself, I laugh very easily

even if someone says a very bad joke I'd laugh at it because

I don't know my brain thinks I'm supposed to laugh so

it just makes me laugh

even if it's something I'm not supposed to laugh at, I'd still laugh at it

If you are smiling,

if you are laughing at something then

it's a blessing

and appreciate it

and be grateful for it

Number thirteen is that

you're only going to truly appreciate something

when you are afraid to lose it

like all of the things that we have that we take for granted

someone else is dying to have them

like even our life, there are

a lot of kids out there who have cancer or

other diseases and

they won't live long enough to even be where I am today

like my age

so, we should be grateful for all of the things

that we've been given in life

and all the experiences

and everything because there is someone out there who wants it

and they can't have it because they don't have enough resources and stuff like that

appreciate all of the things that you have and all of the people that you have in your life

because you never know what tomorrow is gonna be

so, that's all I have for you guys today

don't forget to give this video a big thumbs up

and subscribe to my channel

I hope you guys learnt something and

these are just 13 things that I've learnt in my life

and I'm not thirteen, I promise

If I said something

that made you feel like, "oh yeah, she said the right thing, I should do that"

just try to apply it to your life, it's never too late

to make your life better

and to appreciate the people around you

and to make yourself a better person and

yeah I'll see you guys in the next video

Books I' DNF'd - Duration: 13:10.

Hey Y'all! My name is Priscilla and welcome back to my channel.

Today I'm gonna do a... well today I'm gonna talk about books that I have recently DNF'd.

I have started to DNF books a lot more regularly now and I feel like a lot of

that is because I've been picking up books on whims now.

I've been utilizing my library a lot more and I've been going to the library and picking things

off shelves a lot more as well. But sometimes the books that I pick are not

working for me for one reason or another. So I thought that I'd share some of

those that I've started to compile a list of and talk about why I started to

DNF them or why I have DNF'd them. If you're friends with me on Goodreads you

may think like wow she gives away a lot of four-star ratings. And I do but I feel

like it's because of the books that I've been DNFing and a lot of those books

at best I think would have been a three star read for me.

So I thought that I'd go ahead and share some of those books with you today. Small disclaimer I hope

that I don't offend anyone if I mention a book that is one of your favorites or one of your best reads of the year.

These are my opinions and my opinions alone. Just get that out the way.

So I picked up an audiobook called Black Panther The Young Prince by Ronald L. Smith

around the time when the movie Black anther came out.

I had never read the comics and I really had no exposure to the character outside of the MCU.

The narrator in the audiobook, which I listened to in part, is really amazing

He's... his voice it transports you to Wakanda and you follow T'Challa as a child in Wakanda.

And eventually there's some threats on the kingdom...on T'Challa. His father is currently the

black panther and his father, being a protective father and knowing that

T'Challa will have to be the next Black Panther, sends him to the United States

in a guise of...um... escaping or exploring? I... see that's the

part why this is... this is in part why i DNF'd it because I didn't quite

understand the whole purpose of sending T'Challa to Chicago.

And he's posing as an African exchange student and pretty much it turns into a contemporary middle

grade [novel] of a middle school child with his best friend M'Baku. And there's not

really any black panther storyline once they exit Wakanda.

Which was really disappointing because the first part, that I really loved, was in Wakanda.

We hear about the Dora Milaje, about the lush surroundings, and of... you know

the kingdom and the pressures on T'challa. And those all... all those dynamics were

what I signed up for and I didn't sign up to read a middle-grade novel....

a contemporary novel about middle grade/ middle school issues. And that's kind of

what it turned out being as far as I got into it. So I quickly lost interest and I DNF'd it.

Next... so I picked up... Bird Box by Josh Malerman.

And if you've been following my channel you probably realize, or you will now, that I don't read thrillers.

I don't like feeling like I'm on the edge of my seat and like I can't control my heart palpitations.

Um... that's not a fun feeling for me.

I don't like scary movies I don't like going to haunted houses. Don't know why I picked up the book.

I guess just thought a lot of people had been talking about it and I felt

like it was one of those well-received, cross appealing books that everyone seemed to really enjoy.

And it had the movie rights sold or whatever so I'm the kind person likes to read movies... books

before the movies come out. So I bit the bullet. I put it on hold and it finally came in.

And this book... I'm a scaredy cat

didn't like it. I didn't enjoy... I read a lot at night. I read a lot in my bed.

I didn't like... feeling scared before I went to sleep.

I would hear creaks in my house and my house was settling or whatever and I would jump.

And I don't like feeling that way... that's... I'm not about feeling like

that as I'm reading a book. So um... didn't get very far into it. I mean there wasn't

really anything else about it that I didn't like. But yeah. It wasn't for me.

So the next book I am kind of scared to mention because I know a lot of people

really love this book. But I DNF'd Autoboyography by Christina Lauren.

And this is a YA contemporary that follows a boy in Utah who has to go back

in the closet because of the Mormon religious super conservative community

he has been moved back to. And he is in this senior high school class that

requires writing their own biographies, writing a book. And I also listened to this one on audio, in part.

And I didn't like it. *chuckle* I mean it was okay but again this is

a book that I feel like at best would have been a 3-star read for me.

There wasn't really anything that was gripping me and that was making me excited to go back to it.

I felt like the narrator was terrible. He was so dull. Like he gave no life to the story.

And I feel like in audiobooks a huge part of the narration

is the performance it's not just simply reading the text. It has a lot to do with

the performance value that the production value that has been enhanced

that enhances the literature, right? So I felt like this narrator he reminded me a

lot of the narrator from um... The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Which I listened to last year.

And that narrator was so dull but that... I really liked that story so I could push through it

but his stomach is growling in parts of it! And while, his stomach was... this guy [narrator]

they're not the same person, I don't think.

but while the narrator of Autoboyography didn't have like weird sounds going on in the background,

it just it was dull. It was boring. And I wasn't excited to get back to it. So I DNF'd it.

So I was browsing in my library looking for Asian American Pacific Islander books

for Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month. Very last minute

because I put my TBR together at the last minute.

And I found two books that I ended up sadly DNFing.

So one of them was Sorry Please Thank You Stories by Charles Yu.

And this is a short story collection...

I've got to stop picking up short story collections I've just have not been having a lot of luck with them lately.

But this one sounded really interesting because it was supposed to be sort of

um... a bunch of stories that had sci-fi /speculative fiction kind of elements to them.

There's a story... the first story was amazing and it had to deal with this company that had

innovated [created] this technology that allowed employees to extract grief and emotion

from people so they don't have to experience it. But they employ workers

that have to experience these grief-stricken emotional moments for them.

So, for instance, someone has to go to a funeral and instead of feeling that

emotion themselves an employee jumps into their psyche and experiences all

the grief and the uncomfortable and unease that they

person would have otherwise experienced during this time frame.

There's parts where some of the employees have to experience the death of a child which is apparently very

expensive and etc. So that story was really good. But as I started reading

more and more of these short stories I realized that the male character in each

the male main character in each of these stories was the same exact character.

He a... he's a John Doe. He's a filler kind of guy. He doesn't have much personality to him.

He's rather boring. He's the nice guy. He cares about others more than he cares for himself

but no one seems to care enough about him. He never wins the girl. They never notice him.

They never take him seriously. And after a couple stories I was just like nah.

I'm not in the mood for this. I'm just... I can't I can't do it. And I DNF'd it.

The second book I picked up that I ended up DNFing was Sour Heart by Jenny Zhang.

And this is another short story collection. These are actually more lengthy.

I think there's only like six or seven in this story. But she is a Chinese author that writes

about Chinese immigrant experiences. And, while it is fiction, in part I felt like

a lot of it was inspired by some her real life experiences. But I don't know.

These stories just were not working for me. The first one was okay.

But I felt like she was using this sort of intense tragedy to form a connection with the reader.

But I wasn't really feeling it. And I felt like it was almost pushing it

too far to get a... get some sort of reaction from you. And I didn't appreciate that.

For instance, there's a part where she's going on and on about

how poor her family is and how her parents are struggling to feed not only

themselves but their children. And they have to sleep on mattresses on the floor

with rats and cockroaches and they can barely make rent. And she gets pneumonia.

And her father... she... she ends up throwing up all the food that she's eating and

her father gives her his food his portion and he ends up eating her vomit.

And... okay. I don't think that that is completely far-fetched but at the same

time I don't like that sort of tragedy... in fiction, I guess. It just... it wasn't working.

It just wasn't working. And it didn't help that all of her writing in these short stories

like... I don't think she believes in page breaks *awkard chuckle* or periods

at times... like there would be paragraphs and pages that continued on to the next

page without a single punctuation, without a single period, without a single

page break. And I was like oh no! I can't. I can't do these run-ons. I just can't do this thing. No. DNF!

So I'm actually really sad to talk about the next book because it was gifted to me.

And I started it but I I'm having trouble to finish it. And I'm having trouble getting much farther in it

because I just... I'm not really liking it.

And that book is 187 Reasons Mexicanos Can't Cross the Border by Juan Felipe Herrera.

And this is a book that my sister actually bought for me for my birthday.

It is a part of her [my] birthday unboxing

that I did a video of that... if you want to see that. But um. I don't know.

Like this book is mixed media in a way. There's poems and there's journal like...

journal entries and there's like pictures and um newspaper articles and things.

And... I've been reading a little bit more poetry here and there.

And this poetry I just... don't really like. Like there are literally just lists in here.

Like there is a poem called 187 reasons Mexicanos Can't Cross the Border and then there's the remix.

This is the remix. And it's literally just a list of...

*reading* Because Lou Dobbs has been misusing the subjunctive again.

Because we dig a tunnel to Seattle.

Because it's Indians land stolen from our mothers.

Because Latin America petrochemical juice flows first.

Like it literally goes on like that... for several pages. I don't know if... and then there's another poem

that's very similar to that. (Followed that.) So I got about 50 pages in

and I don't know. I'm gonna give it another shot when I have the mental space and

the clarity to jump back into it. But if it doesn't work for me again the second

time I may end up on hauling it. Unfortunately.

So I think that that's a good amount of books to talk about in this video.

I'm... I would like to know if you like watching these kind of videos.

I don't really talk a lot about the books that I don't like on this channel.

But I thought I'd challenge myself to do a different sort of video. Let me know what you think

if you've read in these books I would be really interested in hearing from you in the comments -

what you thought about them. If you've read any of them and you think that I should give them a second shot

I would also like to hear them in the comment[s]. That's all I have for this video.

Thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next one! Bye!

The user, @THFC_99, posted a link to a BBC article and wrote: "Fair play Liverpool agreeing a fee for Dybala ,I thought the rumours were fake

" Except all was not how it seemed. Fans expecting to go to a page where details of the supposedly agreed Dybala deal instead ended up in an entirely different location - a match report of Spurs' 4-1 win over Liverpool in October! The post was retweeted more than 400 times as fans reacted in varying ways to the prank

"Well you got me but I enjoyed it," wrote one while another said: "what a tweet <3" That sentiment wasn't echoed by one Liverpool fan who tried to hit back at Spurs over Heung-min Son's availability

"4 is a good number tbf. Number of games son will miss for you at the start of the season," they wrote

"Um why did it take me to Spurs 4-1 Liverpool," posted another confused supporter

While Dybala may not be coming, a top goalkeeper potentially could. Liverpoo have launched a world record £62million bid for Roma star Alisson

The Anfield club were locked in talks with the Italians last night as they look to make the Brazil No 1 the most expensive keeper on the planet

Boss Jurgen Klopp has turned to Alisson after giving up on error-prone Loris Karius

Alisson, 25, has been on Liverpool's radar for more than a year and he is keen on making the move to Merseyside, although Roma are holding out for closer to £67m

A deal would smash the current record fee for a keeper - the £34.7m Manchester City paid Benfica for Ederson last summer

Liverpool registered their interest in Alisson back in January but were shocked by the eye-watering price tag Roma put on the keeper

But they have now decided to swoop for the South American.

Thomas insists Froome is still leader despite taking yellow jersey on stage 11 - Duration: 5:49.

Geraint Thomas insisted Chris Froome remains the Team Sky leader despite racing into the yellow jersey himself with victory on stage 11 of the Tour de France in La Rosiere

Thomas attacked with six kilometres left of the 108.5km stage from Albertville to take his second career Tour stage win and with it the overall lead of the race, one minute 25 seconds ahead of Froome

This is the scenario 2012 Tour winner Bradley Wiggins claimed would be a nightmare for his old team, but as questions about a leadership battle returned, the Welshman played the role of loyal lieutenant

"Froomey is the leader. He's won six grand tours," said Thomas, who wears yellow for the second time after spending four days in the jersey at the start of last year's Tour

"It's just how I feel. Some guys might sit here and give some PR bull**** but I just say how it is with me and that's how it is

Froomey is the leader. "For sure I'm not going to sit up and lose time, but I think we're in a great position

It's just a bit of an unknown for me to race over three weeks. It's the ideal scenario at the moment and long may it continue

"   It might prove tough for Thomas to sacrifice himself in the service of Froome from this position, but the 32-year-old said he would follow team orders

"It depends on the situation and what's going on in the race" he said. "How the team want to ride

If I have to pull towards the end then I will. We'll see." When Thomas first attacked his mission was to catch Tom Dumoulin, who peeled off the peloton on a descent leading to the final climb up to La Rosiere

Thomas did that comfortably, and when Mikel Nieve slid into view, trying to win the stage from the breakaway, another prize was on offer and he sped up again, passing the Mitchelton-Scott man inside the last 400 metres

It gave Thomas the win after he was second on an almost identical stage of the Criterium du Dauphine in June, en route to overall victory in the race

While Thomas was riding to victory, there was the fascinating sight of Froome staying behind to cover counter-attacks from Romain Bardet and Nairo Quintana

With that job done, Froome latched on to a move from Irishman Dan Martin, eventually catching Dumoulin to finish third on the stage, 20 seconds back

"It's an amazing position for us," Froome said. "I don't think we quite expected that going into today's stage

I think everyone probably expected Alpe d'Huez to be the more decisive stage, and it might very well still be, but it puts us in a fantastic position

"(Thomas' attack) was a bit of a spur of the moment thing for us but it made sense, it was perfect, we didn't even have to talk

It was the right thing for 'G' to do, to push on there. I let the wheel go because I knew the onus would be on the rest of the guys to chase

" But while Team Sky could celebrate, Team Dimension Data did not get the Mandela Day gift they were hoping for as Mark Cavendish was eliminated from the Tour for missing the time cut

The 30-time stage winner was dropped early on and spent the entire stage off the back, but rejected a ride in the broom wagon before crossing the line 65 minutes after Thomas

Cavendish was in trouble long before the explosive end to this short mountainous stage, which was designed to promote attacks

The battle for yellow was on once BMC's Greg Van Avermaet was, as expected, dropped midway through, with Movistar's Alejandro Valverde launching a long-range attack on the Col du Pre almost immediately after

Team Sunweb's Dumoulin bridged over to the Spaniard on the descent off the Cormet de Roseland before leaving him behind on the climb to the finish, while Sky kept their powder dry until the finale

The fast finale caught out several, with Mitchelton-Scott's Adam Yates shipping almost five minutes and dropping to 16th overall, perhaps leaving the Lancastrian to focus on stage wins

Dumoulin is up to third, one minute 44 seconds behind Thomas, with 2014 winner Vincenzo Nibali of Bahrain Merida fourth, two minutes 14 seconds down

Martin's late moves, an encouraging sign after a bruising stage nine to Roubaix, saw the UAE Team Emirates rider move up to 10th, level on time with Movistar's Quintana, three minutes 16 seconds down

Putin Discuss Developing Space Industry With ROSCOSMOS Executives - Duration: 5:58.

Good afternoon.

I have invited you – this practically new ROSCOSMOS team – to discuss

plans for the development of the missile and space industry and specific decisions aimed at making your corporation more efficient.

The amount of work and the scale of objectives are great.

I hope that you will approach these goals with the highest responsibility and will work consistently and professionally, trying to reach the best results.

As you know, Russia has always had broad and sometimes unique competences in space exploration.

Today, ROSCOSMOS needs breakthrough success in this area and, given the growing global competition, to maintain its position of leadership.

We are well aware that this is not just about prestige.

The resolution of several truly vital issues depends on the development of modern space infrastructure and equipment,

and the deployment of precision navigation and global satellite communications, such as the creation of the digital economy,

the development of logistics and of e-learning, and ensuring security and law and order.

Your progress needs to become a major resource for the country's general breakthrough development.

Let me emphasise that for all the known problems, the missile and space industry has powerful technological and personnel potential, great engineers and scientific schools.

As recently as July 10, our specialists managed to launch and dock the Progress-MS-09 cargo craft with the International Space Station in record time.

You cut the docking time in half.

These suggested technical solutions will seriously enhance the effectiveness of our space programme.

Since the space industry is strategically important, please focus on the key tasks at hand.

You are aware of them, but I will, nonetheless, go over some of them.

Firstly, we must continue to build up the orbital group. In doing so, it is necessary to drastically improve the quality and reliability of space and launch vehicles,

and to create a modern domestic electronics industry in order to extend the service life of our satellites in orbit.

We are all aware of the things we should focus on here.

Secondly, it is important to implement a number of major significant projects in a timely manner, including the creation of a super-heavy class rocket complex.

Importantly, all previous deadlines for developing it should be met, and flight tests should begin in 2028 as planned.

There is a similar requirement for the Soyuz-5 medium-class carrier rocket, which, in fact, will become the first stage of the super-heavy rocket.

As you may be aware, the Soyuz flight tests should begin in 2022.

Thirdly, I look forward to seeing greater efforts to develop the Angara family of carrier rockets, including the Angara-A5 heavy-lift rocket:

as we know, it is of great importance for our country's defence capability.

For us to be able to launch it, we must expand the infrastructure of the Vostochny Space Launch Centre,

proceed with the second phase of its construction, and organise work to build a launch pad for the Angara, the launch of which is scheduled for 2021.

Also, given that the rocket and space industry is currently overly reliant on budgetary funds, it should focus on ways to diversify its output, like the defence industry.

I believe the Corporation can and should ensure a steady flow of revenue from paid services rendered to other sectors of the economy in the sphere of information, navigation and communications.

By doing so, we will direct federal budget funds toward the future goals of the space industry.

I am aware that you have high quality and commercially viable projects, such as the new programme Sphere,

which, in the next few years, will be used to launch over 600 satellites (I believe, 640 in all) in three stages: by 2022, 2024 and 2028.

Under this programme, the new space group should be effectively used in the sphere of navigation, communications and remote sensing of the Earth.

Importantly, domestic businesses and our foreign partners are interested in this project, so we should fully focus on implementing it.

One more thing. In order to fulfill the Corporation's ambitious plans, it is important to focus on HR policy.

I hope that you will not only retain, but also increase the industry's design and engineering capacity and pay special attention to training young employees.

This is instrumental for the success of the space industry and its future.

Please take good care of what you have, and, of course, focus on building up the workforce.

Let us get to work.

SUPERNATURAL - 1X06 "SKIN" REACTION - Duration: 14:54.

Oh, she?

What are they doing to her?

She's pointing out to the killer.

Aha, someone attacked her.

You'll see now it some kind of alien.

DEAN?!

Your reaction is so good!

But, how?

Researching, their job...When they'll retire?

Or find some other jobs?

That's not a good thing for all of us who are watching the show Emina.

I understand, but their life is...

I don't know.

Through the whole series...there will be that subject..about retirement.

I know that. But they can't always do the thing with the credit cards.

They have to earn the money someday.

They won't. It will always be like this....more or less.

A whole lot of things will change later on.

He's introducing himself.

He promoted himself.

Maybe it was her lover.

Lover killed her?

What is that sound?

It sounds like crying baby.

Is it there?

Maybe it's only music.

We have gone mad too.

You'll become paranoiac, believe me.

But later on....you'll no longer care.

The worst thing right now is that I have to drive you home.

You see?

Isn't this the guy who supposedly killed?

Isn't he arrested?

You see that there are two of them.

You see that it's double.

What double?

She said he was in two place at once.

So, it means there are two of them.

She's next.

I told you!

Emina...you connected everything.

Like always.

But, this is not the woman.

It's not his lover, it's his wife.

Ahaa, he's taking the body/shape...and now it's like he killed her.

Yes!

That's how it seems like he killed her.

He's like...

How?

With whom he has been kissing then?

His wife.

But, what about this businesses trip?

He's taking off his skin every time.

That's way the episode title is "Skin".

He's changing skins. Yes.

He's changing skin. He's skinning himself every time he takes some other body shape/skin.

Who had the inspiration to film and create all of this?

Eric Kripke

That's his name. Where did he get idea?

He said that he had been creating this show for 10 years.

It took something to create this kind of thing and so many cases.

What happened?

What did he do?

He shoot him.

With what?

Maybe he found some weapon.

Is he running away?

Look...he looks like a man who got arrested.

He turned into Dean.

It seemed like Sam was questioning him...

Like Sam was questioning is it Dean or not.

But he has Dean's memory.

You see how Sam is noticing details? Like you Emina.

Ohh, he ties Sam too.

How did he hit him?

He hit him with something.

Are they alone?

I suppose that real Dean is somewhere here.

Where?

This is not the real one.

You see...that's how he has Dean's memory.

Where did he get the ring?

He took it.

Where did Dean get the ring?

I think that Dean always had a ring...

Or maybe not?

Maybe the ring is from that guy?

I don't know. Or Dean has it.

I'm thirsty.

I need water.

Can you please get me a water? You're closer.

I'll pause.

I almost fell asleep.

They're wasting the bullets when they can't get him.

I'm wondering is he willingly taking of the skin?

His teeth are falling out?

Ohh, his ear just fell off.

Good enough for someone to recognize you.

He's the woman now.

Yes!

I can't remember what really happened.

What?

Little brother.

Oh, here comes Dean.

You see...

That's it.

Do you understand?

When cops showed, Dean was "dead".

And that was actually the other guy.

They buried him, so basically...Dean is dead now.

And then, years from now...when they meet with FBI

FBI is like...Dean Winchester died...

....years ago!

This one wasn't that scary.

No.

Not all episodes will be scary.

I'm not even scared when I watch Supernatural. Not anymore.

I'm watching because of all the things that will become important later on.
