Our First Spyder "Machanical" Break Failure in the Mountains - Duration: 13:54.

hey guys good morning we just getting our day going here my first cup of

coffee so bear with me

it is incredibly quiet I think we hear the compressor of the air conditioning

system in the main lodge and some birds chirping that's it the main lodge is

uploaded yards in that direction

we are staying in this lower rustic cabin along this or row of other rustic

cabins or a built in the ninth 13th and the 1930s this is part of the National

Park System and the Skyland resort area of the Skyline Drive we're gonna take a

tour of that as we go up for breakfast here in a few moments you know we don't

even have a firm itinerary for today we're up here in the mountains to play

hanging around sightsee just enjoy it a little bit so that's our game plan so

we're gonna grate a pack up and head up a Hasson breakfast

I think we've stayed at Skyline Lodge two maybe three or four times but what

we like about it is it's quite rustic but it does have the conveniences that

we need in the lobby area they have good Wi-Fi there's a nice gift shop

with a variety of items they also have kind of a grab-and-go areas where you

can get a cup of coffee or a quick sandwich or some something like that if

you didn't want to eat in the dining room and then they have both a dining

room and a pub almost every night they have some kind of live entertainment

and there's a seating area outside as well so while there's no TV in the cabin

we never really missed it there were plenty of things to do and all the

comforts of home

after breakfast we decided to work off some of those extra calories by doing a

morning hike up to a rock formation named Stoney man summit the trail to the

summit uses part of the famous Appalachians rel this is the blaze

marker for the Appalachian Trail the little blue marker here indicates that

it's also a companion trail to a part of the nature trail leading up to our

destination today so it's two trails and one part of the Appalachian Trail we are

at a backcountry intersection that ways trail that we're going to to the rock

formation to top Stoney man's summit and that way is the Appalachian Trail which

goes to Mount Katahdin in Maine that way is the combined trail that we just came

up on and that one is the trail that goes back straight to our cabin we may

take that going back so we came to a Eckstein quadrant the trail Forks and

there's no sign the trail there's a thing on the right so I guess we go

right my guess is it's a loop trail so I once heard if you ever come to a fork in

the road take it

this my friends is the kind of view you must earn and I think we should

commemorate with a moment of reverence I heard that back earlier on the trailer

while she was testing that sound and I thought sir an Asian temple close by

that I didn't know anything about no you're good we were hiking back to the

lodge from Stoney Stoney man and we ran into a section hiker along the

Appalachia hi what is your name you can give us a trail name if you want

if you have a trail name I don't ok I'm ok Wow and you came out here just to do

this a section hike very good because you have Skyline Drive going alongside

the trails get in trouble you can jump out to the skyline

yep and get services I'm going in the shelter's actually doing probably on

average about 14 miles a day and you've only been hiking just recent relatively

recently yeah I picked it up during the winter and you were cyclists before that

now when you say a long-distance how far do you think we go in the day when you

cycle for your long rides we wouldn't think nothing of going 200 miles a day

mark my personal record is 65 that's like I feel like a weakling good deal so

that's my picking out picking up long-distance hiking was not so hard for

me because I already have that endurance

factor built right why did you decide to do it by yourself I didn't know anybody

else to do it with I come from Texas we have a Prairie we don't have any

mountains depends on the part of Texas over there are mountains in Texas where

they call them Hills mountains but yeah not mountains like this right and we

don't have any bears in Texas and I did not actually come to see bears cuz I'd

heard stories from through hackers that have gone 2,200 miles and never saw a

bear so I thought I know there are bears in that part but chances are I won't see

one and I didn't really care to see one but my first mare was a mama bear with

two cubs right behind her that was two days ago

I had to I had to stand there and back up and give him time and space and they

eventually wandered on their way and once I got by them I almost ran to the

next time no I had a friend that was a real smart outlet and said why didn't

you get a selfie so this morning I stopped at a spring and I was filtering

water at the spring and I was checking my phone and checking my GPS and

checking my guidebook and I'd been there I didn't sit down but I've certainly

been there good probably twelve minutes I was about ready to leave and I looked

up and about twenty-five feet right over there was a bear in a tree and she was

just casually laying there so in that tree and so you're just watching me just

casually it's just looking a little loud she was a no alarm at all so I get my

phone out and I take my selfie and then I walked on fire and I look back at her

one last look at her and there was her cub a few branches up the tree

I decided this is a last bear I ever want to say I have been hiking these

hills all my life and I've never seen a bear on the trail I've seen them on the

road but never seen him in the trail I've been here five days and I've seen

six Wow Wow but no Rattlers well that's even better

so the therm hackers keep tally of their bears and their Rattlers in the log in

the shelter's well just yeah when we stop at the shelters and I hope you have

a good hike okay great thanks

after breakfast we decided to take the spider off the mountain to one of our

favorite breweries that have lunch no sooner had we pulled out from Sky LAN

Lodge then we received the first ever warning light on the central console

stating brake failure considering we're in mountainous terrain that was a bit

intimidating the warning light said low brake fluid level which was a bit

surprising considering I had checked the brake fluid level before departing on

the trip we pulled over to the first possible place we could find the brake

fluid level appeared to be normal and I began to pour through the owner's manual

to see how to address the problem and fortunately we were in a location that

Miriam was able to access the internet

it was a bit stressful when the brake failure lights kept popping up on the

dash so when we stopped you know John searching the owner's manual

and nothing helpful is popping up so I pulled out my phone and googled

spider brake failure indicator and up top

the spider forum which was very helpful there were several individuals which has

its problems and offered various suggestions and the most logical thought

was that maybe it had to do with low brake fluid level after confirming the

brake fluid level was normal and the brakes appeared to be working properly

and once where we started just as advertised the error light went away and

only reappeared on steep grades and was not correlated with the use of brakes

our conclusion was it was a slightly low parade fluid level and incidentally once

we were out of the mountainous terrain the warning light never reappeared for

the rest of the trip

wild wolf is one of our favorite breweries and it's fun to visit them on

route 151 because their restaurant is quite nice also they feature their beers

and some of their their dishes like their salad dressings they make a really

nice IPA which we both enjoy I'm a particular fan of IPA it's my beer of

choice and it's it's just the right size it's quaint

located in an old fashioned schoolhouse and just we really like the vibe there

if you caught one of our earlier videos you'll you'll know this is our second

video that has taken place at wild wolf one of one of our favorites so why did

the rattlesnake across the room because he's around a snake a very intimidating

predator and he can go anywhere he wants now this is the kind of wildlife we

enjoy seeing

well we're winding down today Miriam is in the shower these nets are troublesome

I have got gnat bites over my ankles Billie would like to burrow under socks

and just attack your legs anyway you see them buzzing around in front of the

camera lens so we're gonna go inside up here shoot this clip score today was to

Un scénario qui pourrait sembler normal, mais qui ne l'est pas pour bon nombre de salariés en France

Selon une étude menée par McAfee en mars 2017, 9 % des Français (15 % de Franciliens) indiquent qu'ils ont besoin de rester joignables à tout moment par leur entreprise

Une autre étude menée par l'agence Qapa réalisé en juillet 2018 révèle que 62% des Français continuent "à répondre à leurs appels ou bien à leurs emails professionnels pendant leurs congés"

     Comme l'explique François Vaccaro, avocat spécialiste du droit du travail dans un entretien accordé à Capital, "Les règles sont inscrites depuis bien longtemps dans le Code du travail : il est interdit pour un employeur de contacter un salarié pendant la période de suspension du contrat de travail, que ce soit le soir, le weekend ou pendant les congés"

Un principe depuis réaffirmé par la loi Travail, avec l'instauration de la notion de "droit à la déconnexion"

Selon le Code du travail, un employeur qui donne du travail à son salarié pendant ses congés payés s'expose à une amende de 1500 euros

 Une exception toutefois : "Si le contact est nécessaire à la bonne marche de l'entreprise, alors l'employeur a le droit de solliciter un salarié en dehors de son temps de travail", précise François Vaccaro

  D'accord mais s'il ne s'agit pas d'une urgence, mon patron peut-il me reprocher de ne pas lui avoir répondu ? D'un point de vue juridique, non : la jurisprudence interdit de sanctionner un salarié qui aurait refusé d'être dérangé par son travail pendant ses congés

Il ne s'agit donc pas d'une faute professionnelle. Mais dans le cadre de son poste, le salarié le sait : sa hiérarchie pourrait lui en tenir rigueur

     Si vous avez eu le sentiment de ne pas avoir le choix, et que votre patron, au-delà de vous avoir dérangé pendant votre temps de repos, vous a demandé de fournir un travail à distance, sachez que vous êtes en droit d'obtenir une compensation : du repos supplémentaire, une indemnité pour heures supplémentaires

N'hésitez pas à en parler directement avec lui et si cela ne fonctionne pas, à demander conseil à vos instances représentatives du personnel

We sit down comfortably as we like.

Repeat on the other side.
