Youtube daily report Nov 5 2018

Michael Myers, a knife wielding creep from your Suburban Halloween nightmares.

Freddy Krueger, a burnt serial killer with knives for fingers who can kill you in your

sleep.

Neither sound great… but how would they stand up against one another in a battle?

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, the Channel that loves a deep dive

into the quizzical side of pop culture, amongst other things.

Halloween might be over but the super creeps certainly aren't.

I am your host Rebecca Felgate and today I am asking What If Micheal Myers fought Freddy

Krueger.

What a question.

What a day.

Let me knows who you think is a scarier Villain in the comments section down below.

Also do make sure you leave a hearty thumbs up on this video to let us know you like our

content.

Freddy Krueger is the leading villain from The Nightmare on Elm Street – in which he

was a child killer who was caught and burned by his victims parents.

Despite his body perishing in the flames, his spirit was somehow able to live on and

taunt teenagers in their dreams, later allowing him to murder them subconsciously.

Michael Myers is the leading antagonist from the Halloween movie Franchise – as a boy

he murdered his sister in cold blood and as an adult he escapes a sanatorium to go on

a killing spree.

Before we fight the formidable duo, I want to mention that you guys seemed to love our

What if Micheal Myers Fought Jason Voorhees video.

Charlotte suspected that Michael Myers would win.

Interestingly there has been a movie all about Freddy Krueger and Voorhees fighting, which

sent the stabby glove goblin to hell, although it seems that Kruger may have managed to escape.

If Kruger couldn't beat Voorhees outright and Myers could, what good would Kruger be

against Myers… well lets see!

Even before the first drop of blood is shed, I can tell you that Freddy Kruger stars in

8 movies, whereas Michael Myers has been in 11 movies… sooo if it is a battle of the

Franchises, Myers is the hardier villain.

Ooorr maybe Wes Craven knew when milk became rotten.

If we are going on appearance alone, honestly Freddy Kruger LOOKS way more terrifying than

Myers.

Myers needs a mask to be scary, but Krugers face is legit the stuff of nightmares.

As we know, though… you can't judge a book by its cover….or a serial killer by

their…urm.

Face.

What about their appendages, then?

Michael Myers has just one knife….big and sharp as it is, whereas Kruger has a whole

fist fullah blades.

A glove with dagger fingers is a better weapon than just one knife; wielding it would take

a certain degree of control and focus, whereas Krueger can just slash away at the flick of

the finger.

While Kruger certainly has more in the way of weaponry, I have to say that, even if he

did slash Myers a bit… the Halloween killer probably wouldn't be too phased.

Why?

Well because Myers has survived knife wounds, gun shots, fire and…decapitation…so…

I mean he is pretty invincible at this point, right?

Kruger perishes in a fire, but his spirit lives on… although it certainly suggests

his body is seemingly feebler.

While there are some patchy suggestions that Myers has some psychic abilities, these are

nothing compared to the ability to murder people by manipulating their subconscious.

While I think in a physical battle, Myers would get the best of Kruger – the two can't

fight in the same realm.

Myers is a physical killer, Kruger is a mental one.

Kruger perhaps could be resurrected, we know this worked with Myers…in which case he

would be truly worrying!

While Michael Myers is pretty impenetrable, so far as we are aware, he has to sleep…so

Freddy Krueger could just bop into his dreams and slash away.

Freddy also has the ability to manipulated people through their minds by basically possessing

them.

A much better idea for a murdering machine surely would be Kruger inhabiting the mind

of Myers, and together they could become the ultimate killing machine.

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Altttthhooough he kind of tried this with Jason Voorhes and it does go south, but I

really think his main mistake was getting Jason's mum involved.

It would be hard to mess with Micheal's mum - In the Halloween remake she kills herself.

Ultimately, I feel like the true winner would be Freddy Kruger, but both villains have a

way of coming back at opportune moments to wreak havoc and seek revenge.

It really would be in their best interest to team up to enact unstoppable evil… which…

well.. that wouldn't be great for us!

So guys, what do you think would happen if Michael Myers fought Freddy Krueger?

Who would you say us stronger?

Let me know in the comments section down below.

Also, which fictional killers shall we fight next?

It is never ending fun and games here, isn't it ! Like share.

Thank you guys for tuning in to this episode of Life's Biggest Questions, I am your host

Rebecca Felgate, I'll catch you in the next video – but until then, stay curious, stay

alert and never ever stop questioning.

Blizzcon 2018 Highlights You Need To Know - Duration: 4:53.

This past weekend, BlizzCon made some major waves in the gaming community with their annual

convention.

Some of those waves were positive ones.

And some, well, not so much.

So here's all the deets on what you missed from Blizzcon 2018!

WoW Classic Let's start off with the positive!

Blizzard showed off World of Warcraft Classic; a game they had announced last year that is

a retro version of the MMORPG, and so far, the reviews have been positive.

It basically takes old code and pops it into newer framework, ditching the streamlining

and simplifying the devs had been toying with since 2005, and is essentially Blizzard restoring

WoW history, which in itself is really cool.

Which is interesting, because there's been lots of changes to the games mechanics since

it was first released.

There's a lot of meandering, since the quest tracker didn't really exist back in the

original, but according to those who have tested out the demo, it's pretty darn great.

There's also a bunch of Chuck Norris references and according to Kotaku, the Barrens in the

demo is an escapable nightmare, which is exactly the kind of thing everyone wanted it to be.

The game officially releases sometime next year in the summer.

WoW 3 remastered Warcraft 3 Reforged was announced at the convention,

right off the bat in their opening ceremony.

It's a remastered version of Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos, and the company showed off

not only an epic cinematic, but also gameplay trailers that looked rather promising, with

remodeled characters and environments.

Another major selling point is that the remastered game will also include the World Editor tool,

which is a fan favourite, and Battle.net will support the functionality to create custom

game lobbies along with balance changes.

The game is set to be released sometime in 2019, and you can pre-order it now.

New HearthStone Expansion There's a new Hearthstone Expansion coming

out!

It's called Rastakhan's Rumble, and it features a new solo mode, and a new Key Word;

Overkill.

Overkill allows a weapon or minions to attack more than once per turn if its previous attack

destroys a minion by dealing out damage that is at least 1 point greater than that minion's

health.

There are nine legendary troll champions, one for each of the classes in the game.

The theme for the expansion concerns itself with the spirit of competition and an ancient

fictional civilization.

It will be available on December 4th of this year.

D.Va statue There was a giant Lego D.Va statue at the

convention.

Kind of self explanatory, and no, you won't be able to buy your own in the future, but

still really darn neat to look at.

New Overwatch Character Ashe Many feel that Overwatch's presentation

stole the show at Blizzcon.

And hey, they're not entirely wrong there.

Overwatch announced a new character on the block; a gunslinger named Ashe who is assisted

by a loyal robot butler known as B.O.B.

And people are loving B.O.B!

According to devs, Ashe's inspiration came from story and franchise development rather

than an exploration of new game mechanics, derived from the team building out what the

Deadlock Gang's backstory would be, and what they would look like.

Ashe has an ability called Coach Fun that is quite flexible in terms of defense.

New Heroes of the Storm Exclusive Character Heroes of the Storm usually has characters

from other Blizzard franchises, and this is their first exclusive character, brand spanking

new, not from any of their other games.

Her name is Orphea and she's born entirely in the Nexus, and is the 83rd character to

join the game since it launched back in 2015.

So who is Orphea?

She's the daughter of the Raven Lord, hence her nickname, Heir of Raven Court.

Her official bio reads, "Rejecting the dark power her father had begun to consort with,

Orphea tried to run away from the Raven Lord's influence.

But after witnessing King Crest's fall to his machinations, she was convinced she needed

to stand and fight.

She now vows to protect the innocent, as a hero of the nexus.

Orphea will be available after the next major patch of the game drops.

Diablo Immortal Perhaps the most prevalent news to come out

of BlizzCon is the announcement of Diablo Immortal.

Not Diablo 4, not a remastered Diablo game, oh no.

Diablo Immortal is a mobile game.

And it's got a lot of fans of the franchise pissed off.

Diablo Immortal is co-developed with a Chinese Company called NetEase, and many people feel

it looks a whole lot like a reskinned version of their mobile game Crusaders of Light.

In addition to this, the gameplay demo was incredibly easy, provided zero challenge to

most, and fans of the franchise feel as if this is a spit in the face, considering how

long they've been waiting for Diablo news pertaining to the launch of a new game or

remastered one for PC.

Blizzard's response to the negative backlash has also been a concerning one, with many

feeling the company is out of touch with the fan base.

There we have it friends!

Which of these highlights has you the most excited?

And, more importantly, are you offended by Diablo Immortal?

Why Americans Don't Vote (and What to Do About It) | NYT Opinion - Duration: 3:37.

Americans are very contradictory creatures.

We admire the founding fathers with an almost

cult-like devotion. And yet huge numbers of us

don't participate in the representative democracy

they pioneered.

We have one of the lowest voter turnout

rates in the developed world, ranking 26th out of 32

countries.

If "Didn't Vote" had been a candidate

in the 2016 election,

it would have won by a landslide.

In fact, "Didn't Vote" would have

won every single presidential election in the last 100 years.

In 2016, only about 56% of eligible voters

cast a ballot.

So what happened to the more than 100 million people

who didn't vote?

Recent surveys and studies show that, among many factors,

there are three major reasons why people don't vote.

Reason number one: they believe

voting doesn't make a difference.

Among non-voters, especially young ones,

this is the number one reason for staying home

on election day.

According to recent surveys roughly two thirds of non-voters

say they don't pay much attention to politics

because it is so corrupt.

Only 22% of voters believe the two party system

does a good job of representing the will

of the American people.

This becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

People refuse to participate, which

reduces their representation in government,

which adds to their sense that they are not

being represented.

Which then reinforces their lack of participation.

Reason number two: the system discourages participation.

The most accurate predictor of whether someone

will vote or not isn't race, ethnicity, age or gender.

It's their level of education and income.

As a rule wealthy college-educated people

vote at much higher rates than low-income

uneducated individuals.

The result is that low-income communities

have a harder time getting fair representation

at every level of government.

Again, it's a vicious circle.

People don't vote.

They lose representation.

And so they become disillusioned

and continue to stay away from the polls.

And this doesn't include deliberate efforts

by lawmakers across the country,

more often Republicans, to lower turnout

among low-income populations and minorities who

tend to vote for Democrats.

This leads to a perfect storm of disenfranchisement.

Gerrymandered districts, restrictive voter I.D. laws,

and lack of access to early voting

are all examples of efforts to lower

voter turnout among specific groups of people.

Reason number three: voters are confused.

Because each state has its own registration deadlines, voter

I.D. requirements and early voting schedules,

many potential voters simply don't

know what's required of them to be able to vote.

This lack of uniformity hits younger voters

particularly hard.

Their lives are typically more transient because

of college and work.

So they are less likely to feel

connected to local politics.

When you add in their lack of enthusiasm

for politics in general, the result

is extremely low youth voter turnout.

Even though the millennial population

is almost as big as the Baby Boomer population, in the 2014

midterm elections, only 16% of eligible voters aged 18 to 29

went to the polls.

So what's the solution?

The heart of the problem is that people don't

trust our political system.

Unfortunately, this is a long term problem

that we're going to be working on for decades.

In the meantime, we can learn from

other developed democracies that

have found easy and common sense ways to boost

voter turnout. Automatic voter registration and early voting

access have already increased voter

turnout in several states. And in other countries,

shorter election cycles,

online voting and weekend elections

have all resulted in higher voter turnout.

Don't forget that in a democracy,

the people have the power to change the system.

Voting is the ultimate expression of that power.

So please go out and vote and let's make

the founding fathers proud.

Meet The Only Black Woman In Cable News With A Daily Show - Duration: 6:23.

Director: They're back in five, four, three -

We'll go "Outnumbered Overtime" now,

I'm Harris Faulkner.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo,

Narrator: Harris Faulkner is the host of

"Outnumbered Overtime" on Fox News Channel.

Great to see you, Congressman.

You know, the big question today -

Narrator: The show airs Monday through Friday

at 1:00 PM Eastern.

Faulkner is the only African-American woman

that hosts a daily show for one of the

three major cable news networks.

On MSNBC and CNN, there are daily shows

hosted by African-American men,

with Craig Melvin and Don Lemon, respectively.

But on those networks, African-American women

only host broadcasts that air on the weekends.

When Fox committed to giving me an hour of television,

I said, "Oh my gosh I'm gonna be like -"

And I looked for those faces.

I'm curious when I look across the dial

Monday through Friday, you know, where are the other

female black anchors?

It's a tremendous amount of responsibility.

Narrator: Faulkner joined the network in 2005.

She became cohost of the midday show "Outnumbered" in 2014,

and she got her own show three years later

with "Outnumbered Overtime."

This is the first edition of "Outnumbered Overtime."

Narrator: The show's first episode

aired the day after the deadly mass shooting

in Las Vegas.

Of course we're gonna cover this story

moment by moment.

Harris does breaking news better than

just about anybody in the business.

She understands the stories,

she knows how to help the audience understand

what's really important and what we need to learn

and where we need to go with the story.

How's it going?

My day starts with the rose gold folder.

We start out pretty early on

an editorial call in the morning,

and then we build this blueprint of the show,

and now I'm ready to rock and roll.

Thank you.

Narrator: Faulkner's career didn't begin at Fox News.

- I want to draw your attention to these

big four-foot deep - they would have been in the ground.

This is cement.

- Narrator: She worked her way up

the local news food chain as a reporter, and anchor.

Getting into network television

was tougher than I thought it was gonna be.

Welcome back to "A Current Affair."

Narrator: Her first national job

was hosting the syndicated news magazine show

"A Current Affair," and she gained notoriety

for her coverage of the disappearance

of Natalee Holloway.

With details is Harris Faulkner,

the reporter for "A Current Affair."

Harris thanks for being with us.

That was my entree into Fox News Channel.

I was on as a guest correspondent with Sean Hannity.

The show got canceled, they wanted to keep me,

and boom. Here I am at Fox News Channel

doing some cut-ins at night, news updates,

so that's, that was my entree here.

Congressman, thanks for sticking for the breaking news.

It's fabulously fun for me personally as a journalist

because it's in real time,

things are unfolding.

Narrator: While Faulkner's "Outnumbered Overtime" show

is news-driven, the show she cohosts, "Outnumbered,"

encourages opinion. And in 2017,

one of hers made headlines.

After the deadly violence in Charlottesville,

President Trump was criticized

for his initial statement.

We condemn in the strongest possible terms

this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence

on many sides, on many sides.

Narrator: After intense blowback,

Trump made another statement two days later.

Racism is evil,

and those who cause violence in its name

are criminals and thugs,

including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists,

and other hate groups that are repugnant

to everything we hold dear as Americans.

Narrator: And this is how Faulkner responded.

I would say this about the president's critics

as a whole.

If nothing will quiet them,

then they don't have America in their sights.

They don't care about us.

They don't care about Americans,

and shame on them.

Narrator: Washington Post media critic

Erik Wemple, described Faulkner's comments

as "pro-Trump shilling."

In June of 2018, President Trump posted a tweet

promoting Faulkner's book about growing up

as a military brat.

Faulkner responded with a tweet thanking the president

that has been pinned to her profile ever since.

Flanagan: I have a few examples of things that you've said

or tweeted that might conflict with what

many people's perception might be

of what an African-American woman might say or tweet,

and I just want to ask you a few examples of these.

By the way, those probably happen all the time

because we're not all alike.

I don't speak for all black people,

and I hope that others don't speak for me.

We're all different, we all come

with our own points of view.

To get a presidential tweet from

the Commander-in-Chief about a military book

that you've written, is pretty awesome.

And it wouldn't matter where that person's politics

would be, it's the President of the United States.

But that's not because I'm black

that people give me negative feedback

because the president tweeted about my book.

They do it because they think that it's all about politics.

Narrator: Recently, Faulkner

has called out the president.

She had strong words for President Trump

when he cast doubt on the death toll

of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

Faulkner: No, it cheapens us as a country.

To have that be the conversation right now.

I think one of the complicating factors

when you talk about death and loss and all of that,

is that it becomes about the numbers

and not about the people.

I don't understand politically why anybody

would even wade into that, whether it's the president

or anybody else. Let's let the science figure that out.

His hats say "Make America great again."

And I look at how that doesn't fit

the comments that you're saying about Puerto Rico.

It makes it sound like we're not

quite where we need to be, and it does cheapen us,

and when the things don't match up, I call it.

Now this is the part where we go upstairs.

Flanagan: Do you like working at Fox News?

I love it.

If I didn't want to be here, I wouldn't be here.

Fox News alert now. America's top diplomat -

I hope that people look at me and think

that I'm good at my job.

I also encourage myself on a daily basis

to do my job in such a way that it would

encourage others to hire people who look like me.

I'm gonna start with you, Chris -

So I challenge other networks to see the value

of a different perspective on things.

I consider it a calling and a blessing

that I get to do it.

And I love doing it here.

Flanagan: I think you love this.

Oh my gosh, are you kidding?

Am I boring you with details?

I'm like a walking C-Span.

Flanagan: You're having fun.

I am! If you need a commercial break,

you tell me.

Flanagan: No, I'm -

Okay! (Laughter)

10 Breast Cancer Warning Signs - what is breast cancer symptoms - Duration: 5:55.

10 Breast Cancer Warning Signs.

Early diagnosis is fundamental to reduce the impact of the disease; it's very important

to be attentive to the first symptoms that often go unnoticed.

The majority of people ignore the signs the body gives to alert them that something is

wrong.

While it's true that you don't always need to be alarmed with the onset of every

symptom, they shouldn't be entirely ignored either since they could be an indication of

a serious health problem.

In the case of breast cancer, experts insist that early detection is the most effective

way to reduce the impact of the disease and increase the odds of survival.

However, it's initial symptoms are often ignored and are only detected when the disease

has progressed to the advanced stages in the majority of cases.

Being familiar with the first signs and symptoms of breast cancer is a preventative measure

to detect the illness early.

Keep reading to learn about 10 breast cancer warning signs.

Unexplained weight loss.

For many women, sudden weight loss can seem like a miracle, and most are in constant search

of a way to lose weight or at the very least maintain a healthy waist size.

However, instead of joy, this symptom should be cause for concern as the sudden loss of

10 or more pounds is one of the first signs of breast cancer.

Fatigue.

Feeling fatigued at the end of the day or while going through a tense situation is common.

The risk comes when the fatigue becomes chronic and doesn't go away after dedicating the

proper amount of time to rest.

Abnormal bleeding.

Any type of unexpected bleeding or hemorrhaging could be among breast cancer warning signs

or other illnesses.

In general, people with this disease experience a small amount of bleeding from the nipple.

Lumps.

The majority of lumps or nodules are often benign, but equally alarming.

The skin covering the breast can also undergo changes that can also be a sign of breast

cancer.

The symptoms you should be aware of include: -Redness.

-Ulcers.

-Changes in color.

-Cellulitis or "orange peel" skin.

-Sinking of the nipple.

While examining the breast, it's really important to carefully examine the nipples

to check that they're normal and haven't changed in appearance.

The retraction or sinking of the nipple is almost a sure sign of breast cancer.

Breast pain.

In the first stages, it's uncommon to feel pain or tightness in the breast.

However, when the disease has advanced, it's very common to experience sensitivity and

pain in the breasts without touching them.

Of course this pain should not be confused with the pain and sensitivity that can appear

with PMS or mastitis.

Changes in breast size.

Noticing changes in breast size are also really important for the early detection of breast

cancer.

If one breast appears inflamed or smaller in size, it can be a sign that requires immediate

medical attention.

Nipple secretions.

Sometimes, nipple secretions aren't a problem and disappear on their own in a few days.

However, in many cases of this disease, nipple secretions are reported as one of the symptoms.

Women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer reported a foul-smelling secretion

from one or both nipples.

Irregularities.

Noticing changes in the shape or texture of the breast is another way to detect cancer

early.

Irregularities in the contour, as well as redness or small holes in the skin are clear

signs of this disease.

What are some of the risk factors?

Breast cancer mostly affects women, but it is possible for it to develop in men.

The main risk factors include:

-Being a woman, age 55 or older.

-A family history of breast cancer.

-Having your first period before 12 years of age.

-Undergoing late or early menopause.

-Obesity.

-Never having had children.

Lionel Messi: Barcelona boss provides update ahead of Inter Milan Champions League clash - Duration: 2:39.

Valverde named Messi in his squad to face Inter in their Champions League Group B clash on Tuesday night

The 31-year-old fractured his arm in a 4-2 win against Sevilla just two and a half weeks ago but has made a miraculous recovery

And while Valverde says he is available for selection he said he will not play if be believes there are any risks

"Leo is at the point where he could be available, but we have to wait. It depends on training," he said

"There are three or four options, but we will not take risks (with Messi). "I think it's better if he's there

More than anything because he is one more (player) and so we have more to choose from

Of course, it is necessary for Messi to recover." Barca have been in excellent form without their talisman, recording five wins out of five in his absence - including the 5-1 thumping of Real Madrid in El Clasico

They also beat Inter 2-0 in the reverse fixture at the Nou Camp without Messi. And they will qualify as Group B winners with victory on Tuesday

"To already be in this situation in the fourth game of the group is great," Valverde added

"But I do not want to take too many risks. We are going to prepare for the game. We would like to win, of course

"We need to control the game to try to reach the goal. It's the same for Inter. But you also have to be forceful

"We're expecting a similar opponent to the one we had at Camp Nou – definitely more aggressive because of the pressure [on them]

"Inter have good intensity, they want to dominate the game and press high. "That's why they've had such a good run this season

We expect a better Inter."

Scott Disick & Sofia Richie Look Glum Jetting Into LA 2 Days After She Was In Tears In Australia - N - Duration: 3:10.

Trouble in paradise? Scott and Sofia didn't look so good during their Derby Day fight — and they weren't much happier heading back to the States a couple days later

See for yourself!    What's going on with Scott Disick, 35, and Sofia Richie, 20? After the couple was seen having a tense conversation at Derby Day in Australia, complete with tears on the model's part, they headed home two days later looking less than happy

These two have been seeing each other for over a year, so some bumps in the road are to be expected along the way, but they seemed pretty glum landing leaving Los Angeles's Tom Brady International Terminal on Nov

5. Not only were they matching in gray sweatshirts, but Scott and Sofia were both wearing similar blank expressions and hiding their eyes behind sunglasses

The father of three even had his hood pulled up!    While they weren't holding hands or showing off any PDA, it was sweet to see that Scott was still holding Sofia's black bag

Whatever's going on between them, that doesn't mean he's stopped taking care of his S

O. Sofia held onto a smaller black purse of her own, as well as a Louis Vuitton backpack

With her hair pulled back in a bun, the model looked cute and casual in bike shorts and sneakers

But as much as we were loving her street style, we're so used to seeing Sofia and Scott smiling that their glum faces were a huge distraction

Is this tiff temporary, or are they going through something more serious?  While there's been speculation that Sofia isn't the biggest fan of Scott's family trips with his ex Kourtney Kardashian, 39, the first sign that these two were in trouble was their heated conversation in Melbourne

Sofia didn't just look to be crying, but appeared to be telling Scott off as well

And when the couple left the event early, their expressions were identical to the glum ones they wore at the airport

Yikes! We hope all is well with these two and that we see them smiling again soon

Bob Parsons' Marine Corps Birthday & Veterans Day Salute 2018 - Duration: 9:27.

Hi I'm Bob Parsons I'm proud to be a US Marine and Vietnam Veteran. I founded

Godaddy.com, Parsons Extreme Golf and Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale. I'm joined

here today by an incredible group of veterans and active-duty US Marines. This

November 10th marks the 243rd birthday of the US Marine Corps followed

by Veterans Day on November the 11th. As a tribute to these special dates we've

created a video to celebrate the men and women who defend this great country of

ours. We're also partnering with the Semper Fi Fund to provide financial

support for wounded critically ill and injured members of all branches of the

US Armed Forces and their families. Last year with your help we raised more than

20 million dollars we'd like to do even better this year. So here's how it works:

Visit SemperFiFund.org give what you can and the Bob and Renee Parsons

foundation will match your donation dollar for dollar up to ten million

dollars. Together we can raise up to and beyond 20 million dollars to help the

heroes and their families who have sacrificed so much for all of us. Now

enjoy our annual birthday salute to the United States Marine Corps and if you've

served or are serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard, know that this

tribute is also for you. Happy Birthday Mother Green, Happy Veterans Day one and all.

Semper Fi and as always a special message to all of you from those of us

who served in the Vietnam War welcome home.

Big Pharma Profits Soar, Meanwhile Consumers Choose Between Food Or Prescriptions - Duration: 3:30.

I'm sure we've all seen the studies and statistics recently that show that the average American

citizen could not afford even a $500 emergency.

Meaning if their car broke down, if they had to go to the hospital and have emergency surgery,

maybe their appendix ruptured, whatever it is, maybe they broke their arm.

Maybe they just got diagnosed with a disease and now they got to pay $1,000 for a new prescription

that they'll be on for the rest of their lives.

They couldn't afford those things.

And in addition to that, there are still too many people in this country that have to make

the choice every month, most of the in the elderly population, between whether or not

they're gonna fill their prescription drugs or they're gonna be able to buy enough food

to sustain them for the month.

Those are very real choices that too many American citizens have to make.

And the reason they have to make it is because of the astronomical costs of our prescription

drugs here in the United States.

And the reason I bring that up is because the third quarter numbers have just come out,

and Pfizer, biggest pharmaceutical company here in the United States just posted a 45%

increase in their profits in just the third quarter of this year.

A 45% increase.

13.5 billion dollars they brought in, in just the third quarter.

And they're attributing a lot of this to that Republican tax cut that came through at the

end of last December.

So because of the tax cut, this already profitable corporation pulled in a little bit more money

while gauging consumers.

The same can be said of many other pharmaceutical companies working here in the United States

today.

They're pulling in astronomical prices and they're absolutely ripping us off.

And the problem is that they're allowed to rip us off.

We have no price controls in place and if we want to in many cases live, we're forced

to pay for that.

We're caught between a rock and a hard place because these pharmaceutical companies have

paid off the politicians, they've got more lobbyist that almost any other industry in

DC.

They have all the power because they have all the money and they have all the cures

for everything that's screwing up our lives.

And to make it even worse, Pfizer after getting a 45% increase in their profits in just the

third quarter said that in January they're gonna take a look again at maybe raising some

of the prices on some of their prescription drugs.

So we know that the increase in prices for these prescription drugs has absolutely nothing

to do with making these pharmaceutical companies profitable.

They're literally making more money than ever and they're still sitting there telling us

that in about two months, they're gonna decide whether or not they're gonna raise our prices

even more.

Not lower them.

Just maybe we're gonna make them go up, maybe we're gonna keep the same, either way our

profits are way up, we're getting a massive tax break.

Really sorry that you can't afford those EpiPens for your kids because your family decided

to actually have dinner this month.

And that is a situation that is all too real for too many people living in the Unites States.

How Lime bikes work | Two things holding them back in Calgary - Duration: 7:08.

Hey guys, what's up? It's Tom here today and I'm in my home city of Calgary and

this is a big week here in Calgary. It is bike-share week. Yes, we finally,

finally have a bike share program in Calgary. Exciting, right? Well most of you

probably have bike shares already but we don't, so this is a big deal. I'm not even

exaggerating. I checked last year around this time and there was something like

600 cities around the world that had bike-share programs but not Calgary. So

we're finally joining the ranks of cities with bike-share programs so today

I'm gonna go check it out and try it. I haven't tried it yet this is going to be my

first time and I'll share with you how it goes. Let's go check it out. So in Calgary

we've got what I guess you could call is Bike Share 2.0. The first wave of bike

shares in places like Paris and Montreal with the Bixi program, was a system based

on a series of docking stations placed throughout the city. But what's emerged

in the last couple of years and what we've got here

it's a dockless system so there's no docks. Each bike is GPS enabled so you can find

its location on your phone, you walk up to it unlock it with your phone and take

it for a ride and then park it in any public space as long as it's not you

know obstructing traffic or pedestrians. And so the bikes are wherever you can

find them -- they're left around inside a certain home area in the downtown core.

So it's a different kind of system. It's interesting, it's been rolled

out lots of places it's been a little bit controversial in some cities because

some people feel the bikes are cluttering up the streets and there's

some questions about the long-term sustainability of these programs, but

anyway it's happening so it's exciting and I'm coming upon my bike I see

right up here, so let's go check out how it works. OK so there's

the app you can see the bike, maybe you can see the bike, on my phone right

across the street, and there it is. There is the bike right across the street. So

exciting -- my first ride. I should say this company is Lime. There's a few of these

dockless bike-share companies, they are very popular it's in lots of other cities.

Calgary should be getting another one later in the spring, but this was the

kickoff one. See it there. There we go we're almost there.

OK, here we are. Here's the bike. So check it out it's pretty cool. Its

brand new. it looks like it's been ridden like two times. What's

interesting here is that these Lime bikes that we've got are electric bikes,

which has some interesting implications which we'll talk about a bit later. But I

just need now to figure out how this thing works.

All right, so it's it's going. The bike is pretty cool the pedal-assist is super

simple. There's no gearing or different levels of pedal assist like you

sometimes see on ebikes. You just get on and ride and hit that nice little

electric boost. Bike share bikes are always big and heavy and clunky because

they're built to last. They have to be super sturdy and these ones are intended

to last throughout the whole winter, which is great because that's not the

case in every city. These bikes are not built for speed they're built to get you

where you're going. I actually have nowhere to go right now I'm just riding

around in circles because I wanted to try it out, but you know it's a good comfortable ride.

It feels good. Yeah feels like a-bike share bike.

It feels pretty normal.

OK, I finished the ride and parked the bike in a safe spot, but to end your ride I guess

it says well you have to do is lock the back tire. A little song and I'm

done. Good to go. Wow, that was easy. This is by far the simplest bike share I've

ever used. It's really easy to get going and really easy to stop. OK I'm done.

There it is my first Lime bike ride. It's cool, I mean those bikes are fun so

it's a really cool addition to Calgary. There's a couple of weird things about

this here. right now, Lime I'm is the first company to get

started here in Calgary and they began with e-bikes which is an interesting

choice. There's no regular old pedal bikes, just pedal-assist bikes. That means

the price on these ones is a bit more expensive. In other cities.

Lime offers old-fashioned pedal bikes for one dollar every 30 minutes which is

like absurdly cheap to me. These ones are $1.00 to get started plus

15 cents for every minute you ride which makes it, you know, I wouldn't say it's

expensive but it's not that affordable. So we'll see how the uptick is on it.

it's starting right now in fall, which is a bit strange. Winter is about

to hit - it's actually snowing a bit right now - so

we'll see how the how people use it. In thinking about the electric bit,

the home area for Lime here in Calgary is in the downtown area, which

is in the river valley, and it's pretty flat and so what you'd

really want to use the pedal-assist is on the hills coming in and out of the

river valley. But you can't really because it's out of the home area so

you're paying for the service that you can't really put to use. The other

strange thing about what's happening here in Calgary is this, I'm going to

show you one thing. OK, it's recommending we wear a helmet. No problem

wear a helmet if you want. But it also says you are legally required -- legally

required in the province of Alberta. Alberta does not have a mandatory

bicycle helmet law, but I didn't know this until recently, until this happened,

but we actually have a helmet requirement for power-assisted bicycles.

Which is weird to me. I feel like this law is a bit antiquated. I feel like it

was probably put in the books back in the days of mopeds and you know those

little two-stroke bicycle motor engines, and not in this new era of pedal assist.

I mean there's no comparing: a pedal-assist bicycle is not in a

motorcycle. It's a bicycle. I feel like maybe the law hasn't quite caught up to

where the industry is at right now, and hopefully the law does not snag a lot of

people, but it's strange because you're not going to be carrying a helmet around

in your day-to-day life just in case you might want to pick up a Lime and go for

a ride, so it's a bit of a strange situation we're in right now. We'll see

how it plays out. I mean later this year another company will start and I've a

feeling Lime will bring in some old-fashioned pedal bikes in the spring so I

think I'll reserve judgment for now. We'll see how things pick up as the year

goes on and as spring comes. Anyway it's an exciting day I'm glad Calgary's

finally joined the ranks of those other cities and I'm going put these bikes

through as much use as I can. Thanks for watching maybe I'll see you

out on a Lime.

I've got cilantro corn tomato onion and jalapeno it's nots pretty fabulous too

so I have that I put it in here so this is what we're gonna have for lunch it's

the oxtail meat so I'm gonna make oxtail wraps with that and this also that would

be lung should be good and then for the sick I'm gonna do a little bit of world

a walnut

goodbye it said zero there we go and I just

ordered you one ounce of water

it's going back down the point there we go perfect

it's right at 1 ounce so I will pack that for my stack and I'm measuring it

out so it's easier to put into my fitness PO how much I had and it can

tell me how many calories I have actually consumed all right so that is

that I'm gonna put all this away and put my clothes on and head out for the day I

hope that you're doing something nice and healthy to start off your day I'll

talk to you later bye so here is the oxtail lettuce wraps

homemade corn salsa I put one together so you guys can see it this is the hot

tell me and then I'll add this also so that's also that I made last night it's

also made in fresh and low-calorie

and there it is all done both the raps

salad that I have left but I'm finishing and then I did a Skinnygirl I drink so I

got supply and I also did here but I mix it with seltzer water so it was 3/4

filled with seltzer water and 1/4 by

high alright I've made at home I am doing the meal prep like tonight I have

a lot going on tomorrow it's my long day I've signed up for a committee at work

which doesn't let out until 9:00 so I want to prep for Tuesday Wednesday and

then I'll do more crap Wednesday night I know I'm having a procedure on Friday so

I can't eat after midnight on Thursday so I won't do breakfast or lunch for

Friday anyway Tuesday Wednesday Thursday is what we'll

do for breakfast right now in the oven I have some chicken strips that I've cut

up and I've seasoned them with cilantro lots of spices like a taco seasoning

spice that I had pre-made averaging half a cup for each of these

and then for tonight's dinner I'm going to have tuna over a mixed green the

super green salad that came will have that with mushroom tomato and I think

that's it mushroom tomato oh and a little bit of red onion with the tuna

and then I have chicken left over from last week's milk wrap that I wanted to

use so tomorrow's lunch will be a Cobb salad with a soft boiled egg and bacon

which I just cooked avocado and all that fun stuff so that'll be lunch for

tomorrow and then because I'm working late they bring meals in for our meeting

that goes until 9:00 o'clock so I'm at the mercy of whatever we're having

tomorrow night well I shouldn't say at the mercy they do make a point to get

Helen to it if I ask for it so that is what I will do all right so we've got

half a cup of almond milk and each of these these are gonna be our chia seed

pudding I am actually gonna mix in today the wheat germ I put it in on top today

it wasn't great on top so I'm just going to mix it in the base so it's part of

the pudding and then I'll add the granola on top like our vendor I'm only

gonna put one tablespoon the serving size is two but I'm worried that might

be too much I don't want to overwhelm the flavor so we'll we'll see it's worth

Kusaka this doesn't work we'll try something

else I mean I'll do one tablespoon of chia seeds and they normally kind of

take over as you know they expand I think they like can hold up to six times

our size and moisture something like that so they get really gelatinous which

is why I'm calling it she is the pudding

and I want to put a little bit of pomegranate juice just because I'm

looking for extra antioxidants this week

this is a good source I'm going to do one tablespoon in each of a platings and

then I will stir those up

their account

so I'll just stir them so it's nice and incorporated and all the chia seeds get

a chance to get some almond milk in there and then in the morning I will

drop the granola the triple berry granola that I've been using which is

awesome and some renders and I will head out the door I've boiled eggs already

for the next three days I have six eggs and I had one left over so that one's

going in the Cobb salad I've boiled six in addition to that so that way I've

incorporated all the food that we had from last week I have a little bit of

the oxtail filler left oh my god those oxtail boat wrap whatever we're calling

it a taco and a lettuce leaf was so good so I have a little bit more left for

that I want to save something to see if Cheyenne wants it but definitely we need

to eat it by Wednesday because I don't think it'll keep longer than that but

that is the oxide that was left over from when we may at the beef bone broth

last week so I want to use that and then I'm also gonna do later this week I want

to do the mashed cauliflower garlic mash I want to do that the hummus and then I

want to make like some couscous using the beef bone broth so we'll do all that

on Wednesday I'm just want to be mindful of the time after the chicken is done I

will take that out I will eat my tuna salad for tonight and then finish

prepping my cobb salad for tomorrow so I've already done the chicken on the bed

of greens here and then I'll put in I have a soft-boiled egg I'm not going to

cut it I'll put it here and then there's a little tray that goes on top or I will

put all the rest of the ingredients it's here so much anyway I'll show you guys

tomorrow what I have what that looks like but that's all I

just wanted to come on here and close out and let you guys know what was going

on with the mill crap so I'm calling it mill prep light moving us through the

week but it certainly puts us in a good place for Tuesday and Wednesday and then

Wednesday night I'll do some more cooking really for Thursday and then

Friday dinner and so yeah we'll see I'm thinking we'll do salmon on Thursday

night that would be good we'll see or Wednesday night anyway I

have my whole recipes and planning out but I just didn't decide like what day I

would have more anyway we'll figure it out but I keep saying that I'm gonna go

I will talk to you guys later I'll see you tomorrow what are you doing to be
