Hello friends, welcome to all my people creative here to a project more in its
channel Arte en Tus Manos, today I bring you a picture made with patchwork technique
previously we had already developed one, here it is, this picture here I leave you
the link so they can watch the video, but then they were asking us
that we did others this time I'm going to elaborate a bigger one I'm going to
apply a new technique called in Patchwork in 3D, I hope you like in this
project, I hope you join me to do it and let out all that great creativity that
we all have
good friends for this project I'm going to
use half sheet of porexpan with a measure of 50 centimeters by 1
meter and the caliber that I'm going to use goes to be of (4 cm) inch and a half you can
handle this same caliber or the minimum they should use is one inch
well this is the design that I made for our table and to be able to work it
we must first transfer it to cardboard or for a slightly thicker material
that here then I made it in a paper of dressmaking then we will transfer it
a cardboard can be that cardboard what I did was pass it
on a poster here you see that the pieces are loose then
first we must pass everything that is the background because
we will work it first in the background and what is the face of the Santa and the
arms and reindeer we're going to work apart
likewise the trees, are left then here I am showing you the
templates of the pieces that go in the background first how can you see here
they have numbers then everything that's going to going in the background will be numbered and the
pieces that will shape the face to Santa and the reindeer will go with letters
of the alphabet then here you
well already transfer and cut them
I'm going to leave all these pieces in the description of the video so that
you can have the templates for can easily elaborate
after having already all the templates cut what we're going to do now is
pass it to porexpan (polystyrene) we are going to do the drawing in the porexpan and a way of
doing it is taking the templates and the Arming as if they were puzzles and
we are drawing each one at the moment that we are going to accommodate it
Then the first thing we should do before this is to make a margin to
porexpan (polystyrene) let's make a margin of 4 centimeters first in all its
outline and then another 2 centimeters
then already within this 2 centimeters that is the dimension that I
I'm going to work with start placing the templates
as I mentioned them we are placing as if it was a puzzle
placing the lines very well and we're going checking
so in this way we are doing the draw slowly and we're placing it
very accurately we are marking and in this way to measure
that we are placing each piece at the end we will have the drawing then the
drawing that we are going to have initially is only the base one seen how he had them
mentioned because the father's face and the reindeer and the trees then the
let's work separately so that's why appear at this time
good friends here then I already have cut the pieces of the characters
that we are going to overcome then I want to show a little here what I did
was to take the template of each one about put it on the fabric in the color that
correspond to each piece and we will leave a little more than fabric size
for example in this case it can be a centimeter, one centimeter more we can
leave in each piece for example in the cap on the face on the arm in the
glove these pieces are going to be stuffed then
let's leave them that way a little bigger so that when we introduce a bit of
stuffed so they stay plump and do not go to be smaller than we think
leave it at the beginning, then there some pieces that are going to go double
example the reindeer, the reindeer also we must cut double the legs,
the body, the head so that more or less like this is going to be the
way, there are other pieces that go simple for example the beard
these trees these little van simple these two big double doubles,
of everyone in the molds I'm going to leave specified which pieces go double and
which are simple in the case of horns here I will use a little bit of
black eva rubber that you use and frosty black but you can
use a normal black, if they get it that way they can also use it
ready friends then here we already have all the pieces of the characters that
let's overcome now I'm going to show how we should take out the pieces of
base to remove the pieces from the base we must
do a procedure similar to the one we did with the pieces of the characters
here I wanted to show you the colors that use locate each template in the
corresponding color and in this case with the pieces of the base we are going to leave a
little more fabric already if you can see there left over fabric can leave some
2 centimeters in each piece approximately then in this if
we must leave a little more fabric depending then because here we go to
introduce the fabric by the porexpan (polystyrene) so we need good
amount of fabric is not going to go stuffed so we're just going to
introduce something that I also forgot mention them before is that when
we are going to locate the template generally the fabrics are going to
use on the back to mark them then the template
we will also use it for the that's why we should mark the
templates which is the front in this case these are numbered those of
I have the characters numbered with letters then we know that that's the
front we will simply locate it by the back and the back of the fabric
we also mark and afterwards she goes to that is going to coincide we will look good
when we place it on the side that is already the template matches
with the shape and that tie us correctly in the whole figure that
let's do good now then let's go to proceed to introduce this fabric in the
base of porexpan (icopor, unicel, polystyrene) good before introducing the fabric
we must delineate very well in the in the the pieces each of the
pieces that we take out to be able to know where to cut
exactly ready then what I did it was with a highlighter to delineate
the painting the base of the picture that is the that we are going to work at this time
I also want to show you that we should also have cut with batting the
individual pieces ready the templates which correspond to the base we should take
a thin wadding this cloth is the material that they put on quilts
between was like to fill them by some way to say it then we're going to
use a thin wadding thin that we get only is by
give some relief to the base of the picture
the correct way then is to take the template and place it on the batting the
wadding we are going to use is the same dimension of which corresponds to
picture then we will place each one just like we did at the beginning what
we can place as if it were putting together a puzzle and let's mark each piece
individually ready in this in the moment to cut each piece we are not going
to leave a little bigger as well we did with the fabric but we're going to
Exact cut, we need every exact piece after that then that
let's have all the pieces marked what we can start cutting
and so we should have the batting and cut well each independent piece as well
what we did at the beginning to get the molds then we must cut all
these pieces and now if we can proceed to put together our picture I remind you that
we also have to cut some strips to do the same in the framework of our
picture ... and then now if we continue with our project
friends with all the pieces already cut now we can start to put together the
picture then what we are going to do is take a spear point cutter or a
exact and we're going to start drilling by all the lines we are going to start
delineate to say it somehow to be able to introduce the fabric in these
parts then the spear point cutter we will introduce it here in the porexpan (unicel, icopor, polystyrene)
we will introduce it more or less up to half of the porexpan
then anyway and we gave everything it will not happen to the other side then
We can work quietly if We are working with this caliber of
Then, what we do is start
to delineate with the cutter and throughout the line where we had already
marked
as if we were cutting but not let's go through the sheet
in this way
let's try to always leave down the line for the guide we have in
base
of that first and in this same way let's complete the whole picture
here for example then already complete the outline of this piece then now
let's take a parrot beak lime like this they call her in my country I do not know how the
call in your countries is this type of lime
and we are going to start taking the pieces for example first the piece of wadding the
let's place
and then we will place the piece of cloth
then we will try to locate them and proportional everywhere
and at this moment we are going to begin to introduce the fabric
with this curved end of the file we're going to start introducing the fabric
until completing the figure
well in this way
if suddenly they see that it is too much cloth we can cut a little
good friends here then I wanted show them a little as I have already
advance the table I already introduced these three other pieces
the important thing is to do it evenly and distributing the fabric that suddenly does not
we will be longer on one side than in another at the time of introducing
that we will not have very little fabric left on the other side
then we introduce it in a side and we are tempering the other side to the
view and we are doing the same towards here when we have finished introducing it
it is important that with the same file always with this curved part let's go
finishing aligning the fabric on when
has introduced then these parts and we do well
so that it will not be suddenly stacked the fabric here inside the
slot and at the time of putting the cloth that corresponds to this piece here does not
is going to introduce us well and this then when we finished
introduce the fabric of these we do this what am I saying and there we proceed to
continue putting the other piece these are small and with the cutter there
cut or perforated all the whole the drawing
so here I am going to show you again we take a small piece of
wadding
and the fabric that corresponds to that piece and we're simply going to introduce it as
that go entering where it corresponds
there are times when the fabric suddenly does not give us then we must do
small cuts
for example in this part, we look to go
entering couple and we are giving the shape of the piece that we want
introducing a side let's go introducing the other
in this way the figure is already
we try that the wadding does not come out and go
being well armed
friends like this and this way
way then let's do all the rest of the pieces
that we complete the picture with here a small piece after
we ended up finishing off thus distributing the fabric that remains inside
we can not introduce too much lime because we can drill or go through
the porexpan (icopor, unicel, polystyrene) here is another piece more and we continue with our project
good friends then here we already have almost the base of the finished picture here
What I did was to introduce the fabric to make the internal margin of the box here
You can see the house the sleigh with gifts, then all of these
pieces are almost finished is it I had forgotten to show you something that
suddenly at first I overlooked it but then here I am going to show you
we must also make a margin for the back of the box a margin of 2
centimeters from the end inwards then let's make a margin
2 centimeters and that margin also what let's drill with the cutter let's go
introduce the cutter and do the same as we did for the front part here in
the corners we must also make a diagonal and enter the cutter but
then we will not introduce it much more or less a centimeter of
depth in these diagonals because on the other side we must also do
the same look here the diagonal of this part of the
front is longer but then we need you not to find
those cuts then we should introduce approximately one centimeter to each
side because this porexpan (icopor, polystyrene) has 4 centimeters thick, then
here we still need to give it a little more decoration to the pieces by
example we should decorate the gifts and some details that we are going to place
this then is almost finished the basis of our table and now we're going to
continue working with the characters
good friends then here I already have the
ready characters we already have all the cut pieces I only have here
put one on top of the other to show them how it should be done
so here I want to show you also what elements are we going to use
additional for example buttons we're going to need two buttons can be about
buttons so colorful we are also going to need jingle bells a colored ribbon
it can be like that in two tones and we're going to use a little gold cord
also a half middle button buttons ball is called this this button is for
the eyes of santa and we will need some small beads of black color
for the eyes of the reindeer here in the trees at the beginning I had them
shown We are going to cut two pieces for the
trees in different shades but then additional to that we cut another
piece to overcome to give a little of contrast to the trees so that they do not
look one color ready then with the trees and with the pieces of
of the reindeer and the face of santa the hat and the arm what we are going to do as they are
double pieces are going to be joined by two ends and then we will introduce the
filling, the filling that we are going to use it's called siliconized cotton
this is what we are going to introduce no we must not put too much that we
it is too fat each piece but what proportional, then here is
some pieces that as I mentioned we are going to fill and others that are only
to hit on seen sunsets these are the pieces that are going to measure on sunsets
and all this we are going to unite for now with hot silicone if you want
use the stitch stitch a stitch that Lili has also done in
other tutorials can join them with Festo stitches and then fill but
then I'm going to do it with silicone hot then now we can start
to join our characters to start then I'm going to take the
I reinvent this then what we are going to do as I had mentioned to you is to take the
two pieces and we are going to join them for this we must always be very careful in
that the pieces are well located and we're going to start applying the silicone
a thin line,
a thin line and it must be continuous not We can leave any piece without applying
because then there will be us A hole
this we are going to apply first a part and then the other
As I told you, we must locate what is perfectly aligned
and we should not put too much pressure so that the silicone does not come out
the edges
in this way
gently press
for example here in the leg we should leave the bottom part to be able to
Fill
A) Yes
the silicone should be fine hot
after it is already well joined we will proceed to introduce the cotton
silicone or cotton for filling
so through the hole that we left in the part
down
It is good that you let it dry very well the piece to start
introduce the cotton then as you see here we are doing a
little pressure for the cotton between very well in the piece
and we are going to take a little more
we can fill in that proportional
we should not exaggerate in cotton
and the piece
it is well proportional we introduce that nothing will remain
of cotton on the outside at the moment of paste
and here in the last part we finished sealing the piece
do not apply too much silicone neither
and try to make it on the edge and we're going to stick more in
and how is the piece I am already
the paw of the united reindeer in the same way then we are going to
fill all the other pieces equally that the face of santa the cap the arm and
hand
good before continuing filling
I wanted to stop to show you how put together the face, then the face the
we are going to paste also in the same way we leave a space to fill in but
then before filling we are going to paste these pieces here is the snout that are
the pieces to superimpose then is the nose and the snout that we are going to
hitting like this is going to stay together like the ears then these two pieces the
let's join with silicone so that so they already have lists then what
what we are going to do is apply silicone and stick the muzzle in the part
correspondent after that then we are going to lift
here we are going to paste the silicone we are going to paste up here and then there we go to
begin to stick your ears then we are going to leave a little more
above we are going to apply a point of silicone let's do it here once and for all
if we apply the silicone point let's hit the ears
it will be like this inside and the horns in the same way go more
up, are foami or eva rubber
so, then when we follow the piece all
this is going to be inside
we are very well ready look how it looks then
what we are going to do is fill in and we end up sealing then we will
stay like this in this way, when we are finished
of fill and seal then we go to
take the accounts we had and we're going to paste a two sales to the little eyes we
let's paste on the site correspondent
well then here I already have the pieces and I have sealed except
the Santa hat this still not what let's seal we just paste here
on the edges this part we leave it open and what corresponds to the glove to
Santa's hand is not going to close in this part below you subtracted
all the other pieces were filled and sealed now I'm going to show you a
little as we should arm the reindeer for arm this reindeer then with everything
this sealed as I told you now let's continue decorating with the other pieces
that great superimpose then this piece is for the rear leg this for
the front leg we are going to paste these pieces with silicone
the pieces this I did with silicone join all these pieces as they already
had mentioned earlier but if you want can use a
stitch called festo stitch then I go back and I remind you
had mentioned but then there are people who really like this guy
stitch otherwise we must apply the silicone very well and
it's a good slim cord I wanted to go back to take back that information so that it
well clear Now let's paste the pieces by applying
hot silicone then simply now let's apply in this part and
we are going to stick more pieces in the part that corresponds to the face
I had told them that we were going to hit some beads (spheres) then what I did was
cut ovals in colored cloth white and I pasted the beads (spheres) to the fabric
well then we will be more expressive face we're going to do
this way, this is like the chair of the reindeer, it's like a saddle
we are going to paste it here we are going to apply the silicone on the top edge first and
we are going to match it with this this way around here after I'm
well stuck then we have left these long cords to these pieces because no
I showed them but I hit the cord like that as delineating the
and we are going to let the cord remain long up and down and this piece
It's also going to be longer and ready after this is here dry and
well stuck let's stick the laces backwards we're going to apply a bit of
silicone here and we're going to paste the laces so that this goes around
and do not go to see the tips ready not we are going to be the tips looking and
it is more aesthetic then when you paste it well and when you paste it down here and give the
back you will see one more appearance good aesthetics friends here I have a
reindeer already armed that I want to show you how it looks
here already the pieces are united look and this part and here I put a necklace
with a bell look how it looks
that's how our reindeer should look and now we can proceed to assemble Santa's head
well then to put together the head of
Santa let's take the hat that I eat I mentioned them we have not sealed it yet
and we will place it in the position correct this position would be leaving
this part of where is this curve we leave about two centimeters
up and we will have as a guide to this part to paste the hat then
would go from there down to where get here to the top
then we apply the silicone first On the one hand we introduce the head
we locate it as it is and we are going to let paste after very carefully let's
apply another bit of silicone on the part
what remains to be pasted in the part that is missing and we will sustain
also until it is well stuck after the cap is firmly fixed
let's take the beard this beard use a stuffed animal
then we are going to place it in this way then as you realize this
have a curve here let's let between the hat more or less
three centimeters the fact is that the location of the beard
is this comes from here and goes around the face
until it meets or ends with this curve with this curvita that is
the precise location of the beard then the first thing we do is paste
this and now let's paste the whiskers in the eyes and eyebrows
good friends here and I hit then the beard and hat look here sealed here
on both sides and the beard located in the way I had shown you here
press two points where I'm going to paste the I made my eyes with the buttons
half ball and just like in the reindeer I cut a circle in cloth and the
I pasted on these for later locate them
in the face then the little eyes still we do not hit them depending on how we
let the rest then here we go to locate the mustache
all this remember that I'm hitting with hot silicone
then the mustache we should see this curve that has the beard to locate it
correctly and this we are going to do this so that we stay like this then for
keep in mind we will not be left run the mustache make the location
so we stayed like this and the whiskers giving this location this
way now we're also going to paste this part that is characteristic of the cap
holy then this piece we're going to superimpose by applying the silicone here
by the edge or in the piece and that is not we will be seeing the red part
on this side, for this we must put it on the right side, it's not going away
to be watching this A) Yes
after having that piece already joined then we proceed to paste the eyes
you place them depending as they have been stuck
the beard and the whiskers you place the eyes first where they want it to be
and there in Mark with a pencil soon they make a point like that the same as I did
so that later they can put the silicone and paste it more easily and
then let's hit the eyebrows are about bits that cut in a triangle to
give the shape of the eyebrows in this same material or if they want the white fabric in
the one that we made the bottom of the eyes then this would be for the face and for
last we are going to cut a circle in cloth in fabric of the same color as the bottom of the
from Santa's skin, a circle of 4 centimeters and a half in diameter and with
needle and thread we will start to put the needle around the contour for later
be able to pull the needle and make a nose this then this what we are going to do
is to talk about it and look at the fabric is collected and will give us a rounded shape
for this we are going to take a little silicone cotton we are going to introduce you
cotton and then we are going to tighten well so that
this make the shape of the nose already with the cotton in then with
the thread we can finish and after that we try to round it up a bit more
when we have it secured with the what we are going to do is apply a
little silicone in the back and we are going to stick it here where the nose corresponds
and so the face of Santa must be ready
already here paste all the parts also place a gold cord for
give more decoration to the hat and a rattle that I sewed here on the tip
this way the head of the santa now let's put together the arm to
the arm then let's take it in this position the thin part for
up and it's wide down we're going to place the glove that as I mentioned them
We did not previously seal apply the silicone in this part and
then we're going to hit it like that When it is dry, we will take a
little fabric of this same we use for the hat and we're going to
cut a strip which we paste from this way so that the arm in this way
We will not join the arm to the head because all these pieces are going to
join one by one at the base of the box I also want to show you the trees
he had taught them they are already stuffed we should not introduce too much stuffing
and we sealed it in this part and here with the double color so that
different tonality and here the little ones I also hit this part already
good friends continuing with the base now we are going to finish doing some
details that are missing for example here I will place a golden cord we
we take a cord we tie a knot with the two rings almost at the end and this
we are going to paste it right in this part our part that is the sack of
gifts then we apply silicone for all that
edge here at the ends what we do it with the same file as
we use before we are going to introduce here the ends so they do not stay
watching and applying the silicone so you are tapes that you see here is for
place the ribbons traversed here every gift then here I chose these
colors you can choose others the what do you like and then we are going to
place a tape like that and another like that we are going to place crossed ribbons like
when the gifts are tied with ribbon then that a little more decorated for
the moon I got a lace combined with silver and gold this is
optional if you want to do it if they do not leave it easy and simply this
we do the same thing we apply silicone we introduce the ends and here in the
home with a thinner tape can be of
dark blue color as well as this or of black color we are going to introduce the tape
well to make them like the bars of the time of the windows and here we do what
then we apply some dots of silicone and on the ends
we introduce the tape here for the chimney I cut a piece for
to introduce it in this way as we will have a little snow
we do the same procedure
then the chimney will be like snow on the tip
ready friends let's do this and then we will place what is the
coating the frame then let's place the fabric I will use a fabric
of green color doing the same procedure introducing it here
we turn around and we are going to introduce by the other slot that we had already made
good friends here then I already put you the coating to the frame
look how it looks and I also made a effect to the house we can do here
all right here at home
What I did was draw some lines and that I did it with a brown marker
then we just do it like that we trace with a rule we are guided and that
give an appearance that is wood then it is a detail more also them
I want to show that here at the extremes
here at the extremes, it suddenly forgot to mention in these
extremes we should make a cut in diagonal with the cutter
let's make a cut like that diagonally to be able to introduce the fabric and that
agree here with both sides after to enter it we can take a bit of
liquid silicone and apply a little to that the fabric does not come out this in the
I also want them back show something else I have not yet placed
this piece covering all this then here
what we are going to do is place this this piece is a piece of cloth
take a cord the cord is about 25 centimeters long and this piece has
about 12 centimeters long by 4 or 5 centimeters down ready
this is to place it here back and power have how to hang the picture ready
then we are going to make a mark of 20 cm inwards end
on both sides and this piece is going to paste even if we coincide just in this
then we are going to locate that the cord or lace remain below if
you want it to excel what can put like this or
preferably we paste it that is flush with the frame, we will stick how to make two
pieces and we're going to leave them here the brand we made of 20 matches
centimeters then in that part just let's paste simply by applying a
little hot silicone
we leave one side and then paste the other
let's say these two pieces and after that then we're going to start
enter the fabric that corresponds to this part already when we get to
is this side what we are going to do is search and make a small cut in the
fabric to get this cord or the cord over there and that since our
ready picture that can be hung ready then here I already introduced the cloth
and I took out the ropes and as I mentioned we make a small hole and
we simply take out the cord to each good side already with this well and finished
we can continue with the part the front and what we are going to do is
start hitting the characters then let's take the arm of santa
and the head and the first thing we hit is the arm guiding us always with this
same shape of the sled then let's take the arm and we will place it like this
ready then we are going to apply silicone in this part
and what we are going to do is place it and make pressure we already know in
what position are we going to hit then easy to see the gold
and we are going to press for it to be well fixed
after this piece is already stuck then we continue with the
head of Santa
Santa's head then guiding us can also be located with the drawing
can be guided with the drawing then more or less we know what
this part of here a little between the moon and the gifts that
to this tip of the hat anyway It is so strict if you want it
hit more raised or be like you wish you can locate it here
let's stick first apply silicone in the head and then we're going to apply
on the border
we apply the silicone
well fixed
in the same way as we did with the arm then let's make pressure
so that he is well stuck and so the saint is already well stuck
after that then we are going to paste the trees here I already locate them
guiding me with the position is from the I draw here this other tree also already
I stuck it and this big then the way of pasting these trees as they are
rellenos entonces vamos a pegarlo aquí en el borde
y vamos a aplicar un poco de silicona here in the center
in this bueno y ahora ya podemos pegar los renos
bueno amigos y queda listo nuestro
