How to make big batch cocktails - Duration: 1:44.
Entertaining isn't only about the food.
Drinks are a great way to impress your guests
and get creative with fresh ingredients.
The cocktail I'm making today
is a ginger and pineapple punch.
Let's get started.
Start by mixing the main ingredients
into a chilled bowl or jug.
I'm going to start adding the ingredients.
I've got some chilled ginger beer.
Some pineapple juice.
Next I'm going to add some coconut white rum.
If you don't want to use coconut rum,
you could use just original white rum.
Or to make a mocktail,
just leave the rum out completely.
Here's an ingredient
that's going to add big flavour to your cocktail -
some fresh passionfruit pulp.
Pour it in
and give it a good swirl around.
Now to turn this into a real centrepiece for the party,
we're going to load it up with fresh fruit.
I've got some mint,
some strawberries
and some pineapple.
You can get prepared beforehand
and chop up the fruit and keep it in the fridge,
and then it's nice and cold.
Look how pretty that looks with all those colours.
Give it a stir around,
and we're going to add some ice.
Make it nice and cold.
And remember, the ice can dilute it,
so add it just before serving.
To serve, just get a spoon
and make sure you get some lovely fruit in each glass.
And then you can just top up with the liquid.
That's how easy it is
to make a big batch of refreshing ginger and pineapple punch
bursting with fresh fruit.
