Youtube daily report Nov 17 2018

This is Couples Court with The Cutlers.

This is a case of Harris versus Ayala.

You all have been together for...

a year and a half and have been married for five months. Is that right?

-Yes, your Honor. -All right.

Ms. Harris, why have you brought your wife of five months to court today?

Well, your Honor, I think that my wife is cheating with men.

And I'm here to find out today,

um, the result, if she is or isn't.

If my marriage is worth it to her, sir.

What does that feel like

to think that your wife of five months is cheating on you?

Every day I struggle, I go crazy inside my head.

It makes me sad. It tears me down.

I have constantly rebuilding myself up.

Every day struggle.

All right, so, what do you hope to prove today?

I hope that everything comes out correct,

and that we can find a way that get past our issues and...

save our marriage.

It's my first marriage and it means the world to me and sacred so...

I wanna do anything and everything that I can to save it.

Ms. Ayala, what are you here to prove?

I'm here to prove that I love her

and there's been mistakes in our relationship.

But, I'm willing to do anything to save it.

I love her.

-[DANA] Okay. -I'm so in love with her.

So, this is really deep to you 'cause I see the tears.

I hear the emotion.

Tell her...

what does she mean to you.

You mean the world to me.

And you know, I've made mistakes.

But... wouldn't get past it. Well, always...

every obstacle we've come across, it's been hard for us.

Not just... that.

But, everything and we didn't get over anything.

-[AUDIENCE] Aww... -For real, Dem. For real.

Ms. Harris, what's on the line here today?

Um, your Honor, my marriage is at stake.

Everything um... I honestly, I haven't um...

I haven't...

I feel like people don't take me and my marriage seriously, your Honor.

I feel like, they laugh at me,

I feel like, I'm made a fool of because of the things that have happened,

I fear, your Honor,

that I haven't even been able honestly, to be sexually active with my wife until

because of what the cheating and the things that have been going on.

I haven't been able to put myself in a position to do so 'cause I'm not comfortable.

So, everything, my whole life is at stake right now.

How long has that been going on?

About two months, your Honor.

Wow, how does that make you feel?

It makes me feel worse than I already do inside, you know?

I mean, it causes more stress than... than needed,

and more problems that are unwanted.

Are you punishing her?

No, I'm not. But I just can't bring myself to do things

that are sacred to me without knowing what is being done.

So, Ms. Ayala, do you feel the tension in this relationship?

-Yes, daily. -[KEITH] Do you feel it?

Tell me what that is like.

It's stressful. You know, um...

I feel like...

I've been in situations,

that has resulted in...

damaging our relationship.

Partly due to Demi's behavior towards me.

And so, from your stand of point you're saying that's all in the past though.

Yeah, it's in the past, as of today.

And your wife is here to find out what's currently going on.

-Yes. -And you are here to tell her

that there's nothing currently going on.

-Yeah, that's exactly right. -Okay.

Okay, so... you all had some time before this.

Before this tension.

Tell me about what it was like when you fell in love.

She was totally different from anybody that I've ever met.

It's like, she... I found a lot of qualities in her that um...

I didn't even really know that I liked.

She's a wonderful mom.

Um, she's funny. She's... she's...

you know, dysfunctional.

She's super dysfunctional, and being multi-tasking and I'm not.

I'm very... I get things done at one point, so, um...

She kinda balances me out.

You know, and I didn't really know.

And I found all this qualities in her that made me want to marry her.

I totally am okay with being with her for the rest of my life.

And you know, another thing was that you know,

she was not normally the type of person I would go for.

-She pursued me hard-core. -[DANA] Okay.

She came after me and was very consistent and persistent

which made me... I had to give her a chance just on that alone.

-Right, who does like being chased? -Just consistency...

-Yeah. -Yeah, yeah, so, I decided to you know...

With the pursuance on me, I had to just try.

You know, I had to give her a chance.

So, Ms. Ayala, what was it about her that made you pursue her?

-[DANA] Look at that smile, Cutler. -[KEITH] Mm-hmm.

I mean, she's gigglin' and blushin'. I love it.

I just... I had a crush on her

from afar, for like a year before she even knew.

-Never knew. -[DANA] Oh.

What made you make the first move?

-I wanted her so bad. -[DANA] Wow.

I wanted her so badly

that I was willing to put myself out there and basically I started...

Wait a minute. Did you...

Did you hear when she went...

She's got chills. She's got chills.

When you see something you want, you go for it, right?

-Right. -There you go.

-That's how we got together. -Right.

You see something and you go for it.

Yeah, Mr. Cutler, he kinda chased me a little bit.

What!

I saw you and I had to have you, right?

-I am married. -There you go.

All right. So...

it sounds like you all got off to a great start.

Yes, we did, your Honor.

-[KEITH] What went wrong? -Oh, man!

Basically, we were kinda having a rough time in our relationship and um...

we got into a disagreement and um...

she chose to leave with a neighbor and um...

You know, when I called and asked her what she was doing

'cause I had this feeling that she was being

dis... you know, there was infidelity.

She told me that I was incorrect. So...

Did you ever ask your neighbor about this?

I didn't have to. She was on her way home to me,

and the neighbor and her got into a disagreement and the neighbor...

and the neighbor called me and told me she slept with their nephew not once but twice.

-So before your wife could even get back home, -[HARRIS] Home.

-the neighbor had already called you, -Yes, your Honor.

and told you that she has slept with a neighbor's nephew.

-Yes. Yes. -[DANA] Wow.

How did you do that?

I was in a vulnerable spot.

Vulnerable day, vulnerable month. Vulnerable...

-So, you were hurt, you were angry, -Yes.

This person called you at a point where you...

where you normally wouldn't have said, "yes", but you took a second look.

Yes.

How did you end up with a neighbor's nephew?

There was no prior contact. One thing lead to another.

I kinda felt pressured and vulnerable.

We weren't having sex, we were arguing all the time, you know?

-I didn't have no one to speak to anybody about anything -[DANA] Okay.

so I felt down.

-[DANA] Okay. -You know, I felt...

I saw you shaking your head like, mm-mm. What is that?

Why are you shaking your head?

First, the vulnerable and angry, your Honor, I took took too long in the shower,

so she decided to leave.

Um, and then...

just previously before that,

there was a fellow with a bad rep that I knew, that I told her not to go around and um...

I was so sick, I couldn't have covers on me.

And I needed her to take care of me and when I wake up the next morning, she's gone.

And it's not until the people she's with leave her stranded somewhere

and she bust through my door and falls asleep.

Then I go through her phone and find out that her little "friend" has told her,

"Oh, don't let Demi know that you know,

wha't going on and just sneak out and just go with us. It's okay."

-Ms. Ayala, you seem to disagree with that. -Oh.

I have caused a lot of... unwanted, unneeded...

-[DANA] Okay, so... -pain to our relationship.

But, aren't you giving her a reason for her to be suspicious of you?

I mean, if you're going out with people that aren't...

I'm put in the...

We fight so much, I'm put in these situations.

There's nothing that I don't do for her, you Honor.

I'll give her a bath if I have to.

I'll shave her legs, I'll cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for her.

I take care of her, I've helped take care of her kids, your Honor.

I put everything on line.

My family will not mess with me because of how she's done me, your Honor.

But that's my wife. And I refuse to let anybody stand or get in her way.

You know, of us. And if it means going through things to get to...

you know, the good parts of it, I will do that.

Do you think that these individuals

are not supportive because you're a same sex relationship?

I think these individuals aren't supportive because

she allows them to not be supportive.

She doesn't... she allows them to do whatever.

She says it's okay for whoever whatever to go against our relationship.

She doesn't correct anybody and that's why I feel like a fool,

and I feel like, our relationship isn't taken seriously.

This is very serious to me. I feel like I'm constantly disrespected.

Everybody's laughing at me.

And I demand respect in my relationship with her

because I would never let anybody disrespect her or this relationship.

So, we talked about the incident in the past

with the neighbor's nephew.

Why do you believe that she's cheating now?

She got mad and took off and she was gone for five days.

I had no idea where she was.

-What caused her to take off like you said? -I had...

You know, your Honor, she left me at the dollar store with our groceries,

and told me that I didn't care about her nor love dher.

And um, waited until I got home to leave.

And she didn't have a phone, so, I'm trying to find out where she is. I mean...

I started getting private calls. And I don't answer private calls

Well, I finally answered and...

lo and behold it's my wife, calling me private.

Hold up. I'm seeing the look on your face. You look angry.

Tell me what you're feeling right now.

[AYALA] Every emotion possible.

It doesn't matter what happened and the details

because we'll fight to the end about that.

The problem is... we need help.

But in order for us to help you, we need to kinda know some of the details.

Why did you leave?

Because me and Demi, when we're together...

we need air sometimes.

Okay. And when couples argue,

yeah, sometimes you need some breathing room, some breathing space.

Now most people don't... leave for five days.

-Disappear. -So, yeah.

So, why did you leave for five days?

Well, I left spontaneously. I couldn't help it.

-Oh, okay. Let me ask you. What do you think happened -I... I mean...

Ms. Harris, during those five days?

during those five days,

I found out she was with someone that she had ran off with before

that was so despicable to me.

Because I took care of this guy when he had nothing.

And then he takes off with my wife knowing how I feel

so I feel like, she off with him again.

And I felt the first time it happened that she was liking on bae.

Maybe something sexual had happened.

-You believe that she cheated on you. -[HARRIS] Yes, your Honor. I do.

-Ms., Ayala? -No...

That's not the truth. That's so untrue.

-So, nothing happened between you and this mutual friend. -No.

To top it off, I ran into a friend of mine,

that I haven't seen for a few months. Um...

And he tells me, one of the nights that she had taken off on me,

hear within a last month or so,

she takes off with his relative.

And they're together the whole entire night.

And I think that something sexual happened that night as well.

She says that it didn't, and... but they went to the casino,

my friend says otherwise, you know?

He says that he wasn't in the house but he's pretty sure that

they had sex.

And I'm just like... blown away. This is it. It kills me.

[DANA]We have a statement.

A witness statement to the court about that event.

And I'd like to read it into the record.

"I know for a fact, that Sasha slept with one of my family members.

"My family member told me all the details of him and Sasha.

"He told me where they had sex,

"how many times,

"and he was very explicit.

My family member said they had sex like, five times that night."

Absolutely not.

"I had to let Demi know about all this

because she's my friend."

[WOMAN] Oh, wow!

How does that make you feel? I see the tears in your eyes.

[WEAPING TONE] Not good enough, your Honor.

I feel worthless. Like, what's wrong with me?

I love her, I've never stepped out of her.

I've made my mistakes, being controlling and things but...

I was getting away from every issue too, your Honor.

I was giving every reason to...

to feel that way but I love her with all my heart.

This is my wife.

And I just fell like, if we can be saved, we can be saved.

But, I haven't even been able to be sexually active with her.

I haven't been able to even have a relationship with her

because I feel like, so much lies... I just ...

I need the truth. And...

Honesty, she's not able to give it to me so that's why we're here today.

[KEITH] And that's what this court is about.

Trying to help people find answers, so they can move forward.

The truth.

Miss, Ayala, I see that you're hurtin'. I see you looking.

How does it make you feel that whatever you've been doing,

even if it's been innocent,

is making your wife feel worthless.

Those are the words out of her mouth.

[WEEPING TONE] Kills me inside.

It does, 'cause I do lover her,

and want to fix this.

I just don't know how.

Well, do you understand, how disappearing for days at a time

and being with other people will contribute to her feeling this way?

Of course.

I mean, I'm vulnerable too, you Honor.

I hurt, too. But I don't go sleep with other people to make it better.

All right. You came into this court,

you've testified that you did not have sex

with your neighbor's relative,

nor with your mutual friend.

Your wife is begging.

Pleading for the truth.

I'm going to ask you. And I'm looking right in your eye,

are you telling the truth?

-No. -[AUDIENCE] Oh!

[DANA]All right.

Did you have sex with the mutual friend?

Yes.

It just happened.

Dem...

-Look at me. -I can't look at you.

I just wanna... I just...

If there's anything that can happen just let... between us.

If there's anything that I can fix,

-I wanna fix it. -No.

If not, I just want us to be better. Better people.

Miss, Harris. She has confessed.

[DANA] Where are you?

Can you accept her confession and move forward?

No, your Honor.

I can't and I won't.

I don't want to [INDISTINCT].

[DANA] Miss Ayala, I want to get to the bottom of the other accusation.

Did you have sex with the neighbor's relative?

Yes.

There...there's a difference.

-There's not... -Five or six people now?

Hold on, hold on. She's opening up.

Talk to us.

Tell us how this occurred.

There was no sexual intercourse, let's say that, on this one.

[DANA] Okay...

Until you all figure out how to communicate

your needs and your desires,

you're gonna have these situations.

And Miss, Ayala, at the very beginning, Ms. Harris said,

she had some concerns about the people that you hanging around with.

Well, those concerns seem to be valid to me because

these people that you are hangin' around with,

as soon as they see you're in a vulnerable position,

they're taking advantage of that.

-Those are not good people to be around. -[WOMAN] That's right.

So, if you're going to move forward,

you either have to get your friends in check or find some new ones.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

It is sad that we don't know what we have, until it's gone.

My prayer is that it's not gone.

And that you will take advantage of our resources...

that we have in the court to help couples

come together and move forward positively.

And as we say in this court room,

please do not cheat yourself out of a chance for a good relationship.

Court is adjourned.

MCU Actors Who Accidentally Gave Away Too Much About Avengers 4 - Duration: 4:35.

It can't be easy to keep secrets for a movie as big — and exciting — as Avengers 4,

but these actors probably could have tried a little harder.

These are a few of the biggest slip-ups by the leading lights of the MCU.

A tiny detail

There's been plenty of speculation that the Quantum Realm will come into play in a

major way in Avengers 4 — and it looks like Tom Holland may have confirmed that this is

the case.

Speaking with Benedict Cumberbatch in a video released by Emergency Awesome, Holland referenced

the Quantum Realm specifically when comparing his dialogue in Avengers 4 to Cumberbatch's.

"He has to talk about so much quantum realm stuff.. just stuff.

"I just have to say 'this is awesome. this is cool!"

Unless the dialogue Holland is referring to is along the lines of, "Gee, I'm relieved

we don't have to deal with any of that dumb Quantum Realm stuff," then it's a safe bet

the strange place Scott Lang is trapped in is going to hold some importance in the final

battle against Thanos.

Long live the Queen

While promoting Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Angela Bassett — who played T'Challa's mother

Ramonda in Black Panther — revealed to ScreenRant that Ramonda and Shuri survived Thanos' purge

at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

When asked if her character was killed, Bassett replied:

"No.

Neither did my daughter.

Shuri, she's a bright girl there in Wakanda."

The fact that both characters survived could have a serious impact on the story of Avengers

4 and beyond.

On the one hand, with T'Challa dead, the survival of Shuri and Ramonda may help determine who

takes the throne.

On the other, when last we saw Shuri, she was trying to separate the Mind Stone from

Vision without killing him; she didn't succeed, but she still might have gained valuable knowledge

which our heroes could use in the coming battle against Thanos.

The women of Marvel

In an interview with Paper Magazine, Pom Klementieff — who plays Mantis in the Guardians films

and Infinity War — was asked about the #MeToo movement, and her response may have unintentionally

revealed a team-up between Mantis, Captain Marvel and Okoye.

She recalled:

"I remember Brie Larson coming to me and Danai Gurira [ on the set of

The Avengers.

She told me about the [Time's Up] letter to sign and I found it really amazing to have

all these women — and men too — together in fighting for a better world."

Mantis may have been one of the victims of Thanos' purge at the end of Avengers: Infinity

War, but Klementieff's words would imply that her death won't be entirely permanent.

And if we're getting a team-up between those three, it begs the question of just where

it's happening.

Have Mantis and Captain Marvel made their way to Earth, or is Okoye somehow traveling

the stars?

Reunited

Since Avengers 4 promises to be Robert Downey Jr.'s final work in the MCU, fans wouldn't

be blamed for assuming Tony Stark might not survive to see Pepper Potts again.

Tony was already a top choice for the Avengers: Infinity War kill list and it's a good bet

the stakes will be raised even higher for Avengers 4.

Thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow's Instagram page, however, we know Tony and Pepper will get

to see each other at least one more time.

"I'm sorry."

In September 2018, while Avengers 4 was in the middle of reshoots, Paltrow posted a photo

of her and Downey on set.

The caption read simply "lunchtime", accompanied by "#pepperony," — a mash-up of Pepper and

Tony.

So we may not know whether Pepper or Tony will survive Avengers 4, but we do know that

their scene in Infinity War wasn't the last time the pair would see each other.

The good old days

The same day Gwyneth Paltrow posted her "#pepperony" shot on Instagram, Chris Evans posted a selfie

on Twitter unveiling a relatively minor spoiler to eagle-eyed fans — but one that could

point to a much larger reveal.

In the photo, Evans' Infinity War facial hair is gone and his hair more closely resembles

the look we've seen in earlier films.

The shot's caption reads "Senior Year" and is followed by "#A4."

As Thor correctly pointed out during Infinity War's Battle of Wakanda, the star-spangled

Avenger assumed a much scruffier look in Infinity War.

"New haircut?"

"Notice you've copied my beard!"

Now, this photo could simply mean that by the end of Avengers 4 Steve Rogers will decide

he's not keen on beards anymore.

However, the idea that the Avengers will be bouncing around time is one of the more heavily

trafficked theories about Avengers 4.

Evans could easily have been involved in reshoots for a scene involving a Captain America from

another era.

In particular, the photo gives credence to a fan theory that was already growing in popularity

— that Captain America will not die in Avengers 4, but will instead be sent back in time to

live the life with Peggy Carter that his long sleep in the ice stole from him.

If true, it could be a beautiful end to the character's story.

Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES/SNES) - IMPLANTgames - Duration: 25:47.

The video game jump.

When done right, player inputs become second nature allowing one to become fully immersed

inside a fantasy world.

When jumping is less than satisfactory, players struggle and games fade into obscurity.

Perhaps this is why Super Mario Bros. 3 continues to be relevant 30 years after its release.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

As we all know, Super Mario Bros. 3 was originally released on the Famicom way back in 1988,

while American gamers had to wait nearly a year and a half to get in on the action.

A few years later, Super Mario Bros. 3 was re-released as part of Super Mario All Stars

pak, which would then be the basis for a Game Boy Advance port a decade later.

For gamers in the West,Mario 3 marks a return to the original formula with fireflowers,

two playable characters, and Bowser as the main antagonist.

According to the instruction manual, the adventure takes place in the Mushroom World where Bowser's

children steal the 7 royal magic wands from the Mushroom World's 7 countries, turning

their respective monarchs into animals, allowing Bowser to take over.

It is then up to Mario to travel to each of the 7 countries, defeat the 7 Koopa Kids,

visit an eighth country to take on Bowser, and finally free the Mushroom World.

Same as ever, the story is simple with a hero, a villain, and a mission.

So let's get moving.

New for Mario 3 is a map for each of the 8 countries.

While the game is still linear, thare are optional huts to visit, and branching paths

letting a player skip some levels.

The core gameplay though, is still platforming through side-scrolling levels to reach the

exit.

An even more significant change to the formula are the power-ups.

While the fire flower and starman return, the real star of the show here is the super

leaf.

This transforms Mario into Racoon Mario and offers the power of flight.

Additionally, the tail can be used as an attack and Mario's descent can be slowed.

Taking damage will of course revert the player back to Super Mario, giving one incentive

to play proficiently and not take damage.

The Tanooki Suit transforms Mario into Tanooki Mario offering a similar moveset to Racoon

Mario, with the added benefit of turning into an invincible statue.

The Frog Suit is another awesome addition, letting Mario jump extra high on land, but

more importantly, swim underwater.

That's right, the ever popular water levels return.

Like before, I'm not a fan of these as the player is often not given quick enough movement

to avoid the speedy underwater enemies.

Acceleration left or right is extremely slow, as is descending.

The controls end up feeling sluggish which isn't much fun, and combined with fast enemies,

can be frustrating.

Thankfully, the Frog Suit offers the player modern underwater controls.

Rather than tapping the jump button, the D-Pad is used for movement.

Frog swimming is fast and responsive, and holding the A button allows for even faster

speed.

This also brings us to a clever bit of design on the map screens.

The water levels are clearly distinguished, with the action scene panels appearing over

open water.

This means attentive players can proactively equip a frog suit before entering the level.

This requires the player to visit non-level panels to stock up on power-ups from Toad

Huts and Hammer Bros. encounters.

The Toad Huts give the player a power-up, while the player must defeat an enemy or two

in the Hammer Bros. panels to receive the reward.

A match game will also occasionally appear, allowing players to hoard even more items,

all of which can be accessed and selected prior to entering any stage.

Some items are used to interact with the map itself, like the cloud allowing the player

travel over an action scene, or the hammer, which can break rocks.

One could use a hammer to break a rock in Desert Land, obtain a Frog Suit from the Toad

Hut, and then be ready to roll when the first water stage is presented in World 3.

This is a great little combo and makes it feel like the developers were putting thought

into the tiniest of details.

Next, Mario has access to his own Hammer Suit, which can defeat more enemies than the Fire

Flower, and acts like a shield against incoming fireballs when crouched.

The Fire Flower, Super Leaf, Tanooki Suit, Frog Suit, and Hammer Suit make up the 5 main

power-ups.

Similar to the previous game, Mario has the ability to pick up objects and throw them

when needed.

A player should discover this organically too as they are already conditioned to kick

shells, but one should be delighted when they realize if holding B when kicking a shell,

they'll pick it up.

From here, moments present themselves where throwing the shell at a peculiar mound of

blocks will reveal goodies, and are later mandatory for progression.

There are probably more areas to kick a shell than I'll ever realize, but it offers a

layer of depth to the throwing, far surpassing that of the previous game.

Speaking of learning, this segues nicely into the Switch Blocks.

One of the goodies revealed in the very first stage when experimenting with the Koopa throw

is a Switch Block, which transforms regular blocks into coins.

Coins of course are a means to earn extra lives, so seaking them out can be beneficial.

On the flip side, coins can be turned into blocks, which may open up new areas in a level

or an easier path to the finish.

As I replay Mario 3, I can't help but appreciate how meticulous the designers were with the

Switch Blocks and thinking about how a player might interact with different coins and blocks.

The Switch Block mechanics don't end there though.

In the fourth world, after pressing one, the player will notice some coins forming a curious

door shape.

Perhaps even more impressive is how this Switch Block is placed in a spot where forward momentum

is stopped, and the player is forced to witness the interaction and see the secret door.

It's an important moment in the adventure because there are two future levels requiring

the player locate a secret door, but it shouldn't trip one up as the mechanic was designed in

a thoughtful way.

Though I suspect most players understood the concept of the run button, even 30 years ago,

there is a moment in Super Mario Bros. 3 where the game forces the player to run: the tornado

found in the desert.

It appears just once, thankfully, and forces cautious players to test out the running to

see how Mario's speed and jumping characteristics are altered when at a full gallup.

Once the player understands the utility of running, they can race past a row of thwomps

without waiting.

Generally speaking, Super Mario Bros. 1 focussed on an increasingly more difficult set of platforming

obstacles to challenge the player's dexterity and mastery of Mario's movement.

The Western version of Super Mario Bros. 2 was quite different, with increasingly more

difficult enemies and denser patterns used to challenge the player.

It should be no surprise then, that Super Mario Bros. 3 takes the best of both worlds

to craft it's adventure.

Some levels are pure platforming gauntlets, like the auto-scrolling stages.

The player is forced to move forward, identify the patterns of upcoming enemies and platforms,

and quickly make decisions before being crushed or falling.

These stage types put a clear emphasis on a player's ability to master Mario's jumping

to land on platforms.

Other stages put a stronger emphasis on enemy avoidance.

The aforementioned water levels would fall into this category, but they are not alone.

World 4-7 features Spikes, where the player is constantly avoiding spike throwing Koopa

enemies.

Rather than utilizing the jump to land on platforms, the player needs to utilize the

jump to avoid projectiles.

The change from jumping proactively, to reactively, is engaging and prevents the gameplay from

being repetitive.

The concept of proactive and reactive movement is further developed in the Airship levels

which, mark the conclusion of each world.

These are the toughest levels found in each world and it seems Mario arrives at each castle

just in time to jump aboard a flying airship piloted by a Koopa Kid.

These stages are filled with cannons, bullet bills, rocket engines, and Rocky Wrenches.

This tasks the player with not only dodging or jumping on a barrage of projectiles, but

also focusing on platforming to avoid falling or getting crushed.

This combination of styles offers some of the most challenging and engaging experiences

found in the game.

Another area where SMB3 improves upon its predecessors is the screen movement.

Super Mario Bros. 1 was a horizontal affair, and Super Mario Bros. 2 offered vertical movement,

though limited.

Super Mario Bros. 3 offers full diagonal movement, and its smooth to boot.

However this does introduce color artifacts on the right side of the screen.

I am also choosing to mask the left side of the screen too as I find it more visually

appealing.

If you want to learn more about why pixels on the left side of the screen are blank,

or why there are artifacts on the right side of the screen, I would recommend watching

"The NES Loading Seam Explained" by Retro Game Mechanics Explained.

Anyway, during the NES era, designers were always making choices based on rom size limitations

or hardware shortcomings.

Levels are repeated in Super Mario Bros. 1 for example, not because there was a limitation

of rom space, but because the designers chose to have 32 levels rather than say, 28.

Had they chose to have fewer levels, they could have reduced duplication.

Same goes for Super Mario Bros. 3.

The designers chose to utilize diagonal scrolling, and live with the graphical shortcomings.

From a gameplay perspective, this was absolutely the correct choice.

The flying mechanic would be restricted if the screen was limited to only horizontal

or vertical scrolling, rather than both.

But it still results in unpleasant artifacts.

Of course this limitation is eliminated in the All Stars version.

Free from the restrictions of ancient hardware, Super Mario Bros. 3 is slightly wider and

displays accurate colors on the right side of the screen.

However, unlike the first two games, I'm not sure the overall artistic style is better

in All Stars.

Super Mario Bros. 3 has this unique visual style where everything is deliberately flat.

As it was designed to resemble a stage, trees and shrubs, clouds, and other background elements

were crafted to appear like they were made from paper or cloth, and have chunky shadows,

offering a terrific visual style.

This deliberate style is mostly absent in the All Stars port.

Instead, the parallaxe scrolling and subtle shading effects make things appear three-dimensional,

rather than flat.

The game looks dramatically different, and if someone were to say the 8-bit graphics

were superior, I could be empathetic to that position.

Regardless of which visual style one prefers, the 16-bit version does eliminate the flickering

present in the NES version.

In either case, both games run smoothly, with the NES version being almost completely free

of the slowdown which plagued the previous game.

The NES version also does an awesome job of working around the 3-color limitation for

sprites, with most appearing to have more at first glance.

Enemies are well animated and the overall graphic quality is quite high for the system,

though there is a fair bit of flicker in some areas.

And I don't want to dismiss the All Stars version either.

The 16-bit graphics are impressive for sure.

Everything is expertly colored, transparency effects are tasteful, and enemies look as

detailed as ever.

The music is also amazing.

Koji Kondo returns for a third time, to compose another 8-bit masterpiece.

The opening track offers an almost breezy island sound delivering something both melodic

yet mellow.

The next track feels far more energetic with quick beats, and multiple sections with different

instruments being layered in and cutting out.

It's quite deep considering how few sound channels there are to work with.

The fortress tracks offer a distinctly different tone, sounding as sinister as the obstacles

presented.

The Airships have an almost military-like rhythm to them, as if Mario is invading hostile

territory.

The classic underground theme is updated, giving off hip-hop vibes.

Other classic songs return too, like the coin heaven and underwater tracks.

The Super Nintendo version offers a nice 16-bit interpretation of the classic tunes with more

defined instrument samples, but doesn't stray too far away from the source material.

This brings us back to the topic from the beginning of the video, why is Super Mario

Bros. 3 still relevant 30 years later?

Part of this has to do with replayability.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is a game begging to be replayed multiple times.

For one, the game is littered with secret nooks and crannies to seek out utilizing the

flight power.

Once the player hears the audio queue signifying the flight power is ready, they can head to

the skies and see what is up there.

While not a universal design element, if there is enough space to run, it is probably worth

flying to see what is above.

And with each passing playthrough, I am still discovering new areas.

Mario 3 offers a reward for exploration as well.

This might be some 1-up mushrooms, a Tanooki suit, a Switch Block, or just some good old

fashion coins.

It's a great incentive to fully explore the Mushroom World.

However, while the Racoon suit is exceptionally versatile, it is not always the best power-up.

While underwater, the fire flower is superior giving the player an offensive attack for

when a frog suit is not available.

There are some iced coins which can be melted by the fire flower too.

When a stage is filled with enemies throwing projectiles, the ability to take them down

from a distance is invaluable.

In fact, as I continued to replay the game, I began to find utility in the other power-ups

too.

The Tanooki suit can be used to take out a roto-disc for example, which is a substantial

ability, but the suit is rare, making it difficult to abuse.

Same goes for the Hammer Bros.

Suit.

I was having a hard time with the final fortress in world 7.

However, the Hammer Suit can be used to take out Boos and thwomps.

Generally speaking, the items and power-ups are reasonably balanced.

The power-ups offering the most utility are presented infrequently, rewarding frugal players.

While the Super Leaf and Fire Flower are easily found in most levels, they are generally weaker.

However there are two power-ups which are a bit more game-breaking.

First is the Cloud.

This is used on the map screen and allows one to proceed over a level without playing

it.

Though it is kind of trollish.

If a user doesn't beat the level after it, they're taken back to the last completed

level, meaning unless another cloud is available, they are forced to tackled the skipped stage.

Though one could cheat and just enter a Toad House.

The P-Wing on the other hand, is broken.

This gives the power of limitless flight and offers the player credit for completing a

level, even though they didn't.

On the plus side, this is a rare power-up, it isn't always useful, and for the beginners

that might need it most, getting a game over will result in a player restarting a world

with no power-ups.

Meaning they'll be forced to retry skipped levels.

Still, this concept of cheesing levels without a drawback seems silly to me.

In contrast, one area where I feel Super Mario Bros. 3 does a nice job accommodating newer

players is the life system.

Players of all skill levels have an ample opportunity to amass a healthy life stock

. First, 100 coins will net the player an extra life.

Second, SMB3 is loaded with 1-up mushroom.

As I noted earlier, taking time to explore levels will often yield an extra life.

Lastly, Mario 3 takes a page out of the Mario 2 playbook and offers slot machines.

Each level concludes with the player jumping into a reel slot.

Getting any three items will reward an extra life.

However, most players will quickly realize that by entering the reel at full speed, they

can reliably net a star.

Nabbing three stars will reward a cool 5 lives.

There is also the spade panel, which is another slot machine game allowing a player to earn

lives.

Thankfully this machine moves at a reasonable speed and the timing isn't too demanding.

Between coin hunting, 1-up mushroom searching, and playing the two slot machines, beginners

are offered plenty of opportunities to earn lives.

I don't want to gloss over the infinite continues either.

Super Mario Bros. 3 is a massive game with around 88 levels.

Getting a game over 60 levels in, and having to repeat all them would be annoying.

Starting over on the world one left off, and only being forced to repeat a few levels,

seems far more reasonable.

It is also worth noting there are no checkpoints in Super Mario Bros. 3, something the previous

games both included.

However the levels here are usually shorter.

In all honesty, I cannot think of a single level where death felt like I was repeating

too much level, so I think this was a fine decision.

What I don't think was a fine decision, was not including a save feature.

SMB3 takes around 4 hours to complete for seasoned players, and asking all players to

beat the game in one sitting seems like a big ask.

Thankfully, the All Stars version features a battery backed save, and modern solutions

like the NES Classic allow for save states, so this generally isn't an issue in 2018.

But still, a big omission on its initial release.

I guess one could use the secret warp whistles to get back on track quickly, but I'm not

sure if I find this to be a suitable replacement for a genuine save function.

There are other things that are less than stellar as well.

Every fortress ends with a boss battle against Boom Boom.

He can be quickly defeated with Fireballs or jumped on three times.

Most players will quickly identify his basic pattern and breeze through these with little

effort, making them feel repetitive.

The main bosses, the seven Koopa Kids, aren't much better and the player simply needs to

jump on them three times.

These do sort of get harder as they progress, with ground attacks paralyzing the player,

or more aggressive projectiles, but again they don't put up much of a fight, ending

the amazing Airship stages on a down note.

Bowser himself is interesting enough, and I appreciate his uniqueness, but I wouldn't

consider him challenging either.

Another complaint is actually with the some of the map screens, specifically Pipe Land.

A lot of time is wasted entering pipes, running through a single screen, and then reappearing

somewhere else.

I don't find the maze like aspect of these moments to be compelling and just pads the

game out.

The Hammer Bros. encounters and match game are automatic too, and the player is forced

into them.

Well, one could use the music box to put the Hammer Bros. to sleep, but this again feels

like a waste of an item slot and yet another action getting in the way of moving onto the

next level.

The map screens do not ruin the game by any stretch, but the more utilitarian approach

found in later games like Donkey Kong Country, are less obtrusive.

That pesky timer also returns.

Though as best as I can tell, the player is given 5 minutes to complete each level in

the game, which is more than adequate in nearly all situations.

Cautious players are able to take their time to learn enemy patterns.

Adventurous players are given ample time to explore.

And if a player is too pokey, the game nudges them to get a move on, forcing them to replay

the game if they want to explore further.

But it really does seem pointless during the auto-scrolling stages as the amount of time

to complete the level is out of the players control.

Granted, it isn't harming anything either.

However it is problematic in the maze stages.

The first fortress in Water Land is filled with doors, mostly leading to dead ends.

As a kid, I would often waste a few lives trying to find which door lead to the promised

land.

World 7-5 offers a similar conundrum, with a ton of dead ends and hidden blocks impeding

progress.

This is one level where I could consistently hit the speed-up music when tackling the level

methodically.

And then of course there is the 8th world fortress, which is perhaps the most confusing

in the game.

While doing my practice runs, I did run out of time here.

I understand the point of the timer is to pressure the player adding an extra layer

of challenge, but I'm not sure this really makes sense in a level filled with dozens

of doors.

Perhaps having the timer match the level length and type would have been more thoughtful.

In anycase, a few other observations I have are with Kuribo's Shoe.

There is a single level where the player can bop a Goomba out of a shoe, and then hop inside.

This allows the player to jump on enemies and obstacles which would normally harm Mario.

It also allows the player to hop along Munchers.

However it is never used again.

It feels like there is a level or two where this power-up would have been terrific, but

alas there is no way to obtain the shoe for later use.

It feels out of place if I'm honest.

It's not bad per say, but feels like a missed opportunity.

I also feel like the level design is occasionally misleading.

Racoon Mario's flight is extremely powerful, but unless the level has a sufficient runway,

the player can't achieve flight.

It communicates to the player when their a sufficient runway, there is probably something

worth exploring above.

However at times, what appears to be an obvious runway, leads to nothing.

And other times, the player is just left skipping massive portions of a stage, making the Super

Leaf feel overpowered, rather than balanced.

But of course the excellent design, easily, outweighs any of my nitpicks.

One of my favorite level tropes in SMB3 are these vertical stages.

These directional lifts are awesome.

They are temporary platforms offering a puzzle like element to try and reach the top.

Some of the lifts only move in one direction, others cycle directions each time they are

jumped on.

These vertical levels also wrap, like in SMB2, which is required for progression in at least

one instance.

If I'm honest, I feel like these crisscrossing pipes and directional lifts offer far more

engaging maze gameplay compared to entering random doors and hoping for the best.

World 7-3 opens with a star power, and then the first part of the level is repeated twice.

If the player hits the first block while still in starman mode, they'll get another star,

and another, and if quick enough, can maintain this to the exit.

This skill is then required to beat world 7-7.

I also appreciate how the direction of a star, mushroom, are 1-up mushroom can be manipulated

by the player based on where they hit the block.

This allows the player to control and anticipate which direct the power-up will go.

The overall difficulty progression is also excellent.

The adventure starts off rather tame, teaching the player most of game mechanics and then

forcing them to hone their skills through each country, before arriving at the final

one.

Here, the player's skills will be put to the ultimate test.

The tank levels mirror the Airships previously encountered, and every enemy and projectile

has previously been introduced, only the patterns are insanely dense.

As a kid I would just p-wing over these, but as an adult I can appreciate how meticulous

every cannon, bob-bomb, and rocky wrench is placed.

It represents some of the most thoughtful platforming stages ever designed in the 1980's,

and still feels fair, yet challenging, in modern times.

The traditional levels in World 8 are also excellent.

I really love how the game finally forces the player to jump off an enemy.

If timed correctly, the player can get a nice boost.

There is a clever moment in World 4-5 where the player is forced to stop and study some

bullet bills, with a block just above Mario's head out of reach.

One can't help but jump off a bullet bill to see what happens.

Which is….

Nothing.

But upon further examination, there is a vine off screen.

Again, attentive players should be ready to roll when this mechanic is later required

to clear a large gap.

Of course not all levels are created equal.

Once the novelty of Giant Land wheres off, a few of the stages feel boring.

But again, nothing in Super Mario Bros. 3 is ever frustrating or sloppy.

All of the skills necessary for completion are thoughtfully taught to the player, with

no manual required.

Perhaps players won't notice all of these little teaching moments, but they are there.

So, Super Mario Bros. 3 has great graphics and sound, a wide variety of enemies and setpieces,

varied level design, a forgiving life and continue system, useful powerups, a ton of

replayability, and some seriously clever design.

I think it's obvious why this is such a beloved classic for old gamers and young alike.

But as amazing as all of this is, I think the game's crowning achievement is still

Mario's jump.

Mario responds immediately to inputs, has just enough float allowing players to reach

platforms as expected, features excellent mid-air maneuverability making landing on

small platforms, even icy ones, satisfying.

The walking jump, running jump, and boosted jump offer options for players to consider

when plotting their path forward.

Mario's acceleration is slightly slow, allowing for minute adjustments when standing still,

but he can decelerate quickly, aiding in landing and enemy avoidance.

It just feels exquisite and I feel it is the defining feature.

And like a good classic song, I honestly feel that in 30 years gamers will still be taking

this one out for a spin, because it is every bit as playable today, as the day it was released.

Why The Lead Singer Of Creed Isn't Around Anymore - Duration: 5:10.

What really happened to Scott Stapp since Creed's turn-of-the-millennium heyday?

What's he been up to since his level of fame went from mega-star to just "that guy" we

sometimes remember?

Here's the true, surprisingly dark story of Scott Stapp.

Homeless and penniless

Plenty of celebrities lose money as they become less relevant.

Few, however, wind up with literally nothing to their name, and yet as Rolling Stone reported,

that's exactly what happened to Scott Stapp several years back.

In 2014, he posted a video to his Facebook page letting fans know that he was homeless

and living at a Holiday Inn.

Shockingly, this was an improvement for the one time millionaire, who claimed he had previously

been living in his truck and didn't have money to buy gas or food.

"All of a sudden the IRS has frozen my bank accounts 2 or 3 times to leave me completely

penniless."

Various unnamed people supposedly stole everything from him, plus an audit of his record company

uncovered how he had seemingly not received royalties he thought he had.

Thankfully for his sake, Stapp is no longer homeless.

Even if he never again becomes the world-dominating ultra-celebrity he once was, at least he can

afford to eat now.

Psychotic breaks

Stapp has behaved oddly over the years, and there's a good reason for it.

According to the Chicago Tribune, before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he was taking

medicine he shouldn't have been taking, and self-medicating with alcohol.

This culminated in a series of delusional breaks.

"I called the White House thinking in my delusion that the President had been held hostage by

the Secret Service.

I believed it."

But the episode that had the most potential to get him in severe trouble was when he told

his wife he was on a CIA mission to assassinate President Obama.

His wife called the cops and the Secret Service visited Stapp, but they eventually concluded

he wasn't a national security threat.

Shortly after, Stapp checked into a mental hospital, where he was diagnosed as bipolar,

and he finally got on the right meds.

Lawsuit

On December 29, 2002, Creed played a disastrous show in Chicago.

According to fan accounts, Stapp showed up in no condition to perform, slurring and mumbling

lyrics while repeatedly stumbling and falling over.

He would walk offstage for minutes at a time and then simply lay down on the stage.

The clearly embarrassed band members were forced to jam while he made the band look

terrible.

As the Chicago Tribune reported, several fans were so angry at Stapp's performance they

attempted to sue the band.

They claimed Creed failed to deliver what fans paid for and that they all needed refunds.

That lawsuit went nowhere, according to MTV, since the judge wasn't about to set a precedent

where artists were legally obligated to not suck.

Reunion bust

In 2009, years after disbanding, Creed decided to try again with a tour and a new album,

Full Circle, but the reunion was a near-complete bust.

The tour failed to excite fans, even with dirt-cheap ticket prices.

The Birmingham News reported that tickets for a local Creed show dropped to just 75

cents, and even then the crowd was sparse.

Full Circle delivered mediocre sales at best.

Billboard reported Circle sold 110,000 copies its first week, compared to 887,000 for Creed's

2001 album, Weathered.

Even factoring in that fewer people buy albums every year, that's pretty bad.

By 2010, the band had effectively split up again, and an attempted 2012 album never materialized.

New band trouble

Without Creed doing anything, Stapp apparently decided to try his luck with a brand new act

called Art of Anarchy.

There's just one problem: the band almost immediately slapped Stapp with a $1.2 million

lawsuit, claiming Stapp refused to promote the band or even tour with them.

As Staten Island Live reported, the suit claimed Stapp only performed with Art of Anarchy 18

times in 2017, but performed 80 solo shows that year.

According to the band, Stapp's no-shows cost them a record contract, plus he allegedly

never repaid the $200,000 the band loaned him as advance payment for services.

The lawsuit was still ongoing as of early 2018.

Talking to a ghost

For the past few years, Stapp has focused harder on recovery and sobriety than ever

before.

Apparently, he's gotten help staying on this path from an unlikely source, the late Scott

Weiland.

In a 2017 GQ interview, Stapp claimed that after he joined Art of Anarchy, the group

rented a tour bus.

Unbeknownst to Stapp, it was the same bus the former Stone Temple Pilots singer had

overdosed and died on back in 2015.

Eventually, Stapp began to feel Weiland's presence, claiming his spirit was there to

warn Stapp about continuing down the same deadly path Weiland did.

Stapp said,

"I remember feeling like I could hear or feel him saying, 'Dude, this could have been you.

And this could be you if you continue that path.

Don't do what I did.'"

Sometimes I just do not know what to talk about My head is spinnin' circles round but somehow

This feels like the time For me to do it right

For me to swallow my pride Like I do this every night

So let me show ya

Express yourself unleash your soul Let it flow

You are a fluid I just want to let go

Breathe out

Alright hold up one sec, if you have a cat I want you to pick your cat up right now

And hold it to the sky like simba And on the count of three

We're all gonna say meow And right when that happens

I want you to throw your cat onto the couch like a football

But really gently and make sure there's lots of pillows Okay?

Peter McKinnon ANIMATIONS Tutorial - Duration: 5:58.

Today's video is brought to you by Squarespace. Whether you need a domain,

website, or online store, make it with Squarespace. One of my favorite creators

recently has been Peter McKinnon, let me pull up some of those videos for you- and

if you've been paying attention to some of his recent videos- like here's a good

one- you might have noticed these animations

and motion graphics that he's been using in his videos. And I thought it was a

really cool style so in today's video I want to show you how you could replicate

and recreate those effects for yourself. As usual the software I'm using is

called HitFilm but the idea of this video is that the software you're using

shouldn't really matter and shouldn't prevent you from following along with

the tutorial. The idea of this video is to give you ideas and concepts for

effects you can use, not necessarily show you what button to press and what number

to type in. There's nothing wrong with tutorials like that, that's just not what

this is. So if there's an effect or a concept in this video that you're not

quite familiar with, there are other tutorials online that'll give you a more

in-depth look into how you can pull that off. But if you are familiar with those

concepts let's get into it. But first let me let my cat out of my room give me one

second.

The motion graphics he uses are very minimal. They're all white and the fonts

are very simple and modern. To create the different shapes and elements I'm just

going to be using white plane or solid layers. You can change the resolution of

these layers or mask them to create different boxes and lines or you could

use an effect like polar coordinates or polar warp to make a circular shape.

There's a lot of different tools and techniques that you can use to create

different kinds of shapes so no matter what kind of graphic you're going for

chances are if you're just creative and think about it you can find something and

some way to create that shape. Chances are you'll have multiple different

shapes and you want some of them to move together, so the way you can do that is

by parenting one layer to another. Then it'll basically stick to it and anywhere

that first layer goes the one that's parented to it will move around with it.

Once you're finished with that graphic select all of the layers that you used to

make it and make that into its own composite shot. Now you have all of those

separate layers condensed down into one graphic and if you need to use it in

multiple shots you can just drag and drop that composition wherever you need

to use it. After you drag that graphic on top of your footage just lower the

opacity a bit and try out different blend modes like add or screen to figure

out what looks most realistic for your shot. Now that we've created that

graphic I want to show you the different ways that you can animate it and

composite it into your scene. But before that I want to take a quick second to

talk about Squarespace which is the sponsor of today's video. If you clicked

on this video chances are you're a creator of some kind and in that case it's great

to have a website to showcase your brand, a portfolio to display your work, or an

online store to sell your LUTs, your presets, your merchandise. And Squarespace

is an amazing and easy way to make that. It's an all-in-one platform with nothing

to install, patch, or upgrade. And even if you still manage to get something wrong

they have 24/7 customer service to help out. Now I get that as filmmakers and

creators a lot of you want your site to look really nice and that's why Squarespace

offers designer templates to make your site look amazing while still

giving you the flexibility to make it your own. This way you can ensure that

your site looks as great as your work, because no matter what you're creating

I'm sure it's incredible and your site will be too if you make it with Squarespace. So go

to Squarespace.com for a free trial and when you're ready to launch go to

Squarespace.com/aidin to get 10% off your first purchase of a website or

domain. That being said, let's talk a bit about compositing these graphics into

your shots starting out with motion tracking. Probably the coolest thing

about these animations is that they move around to follow his hand and that's

actually not too difficult to do. Just use a single point track to track the

location of your finger throughout the shot. Then add a new point layer to your

composition and attach the track to that point.

Finally just take that graphic we created in the first part of this video

and parent it to the point layer and as you can see if you play through your

footage it should follow your finger throughout the scene. If you watch Peter

McKinnon's videos closely you can probably notice that there's a quick

animation whenever one of these graphics appears. To create one of these

animations for yourself, find the frame where you want the graphic to be visible

and set a keyframe for the scale and opacity. Then go back about 10 or so

frames and change the scale and opacity both to zero. Then just finish it off by

using your editing software's value graph or graph editor function to smooth

out those animations and enable motion blur. And you don't necessarily have to

animate the scale. You could also change the rotation or position even. And one

final subtle detail that Peter McKinnon occasionally adds to these animations is

to blur out the background. To recreate this just drag and drop a blur effect

onto your footage and when that animation happens keyframe the blur to

go from zero to a small amount of blur, nothing too heavy or it's not gonna look

realistic. And at this point if you've done everything right you should have an

animation that looks pretty close to those used by Peter McKinnon. And as I

usually say in these videos about recreating other creators' effects you're

not going to get very far by just taking these animations and pasting them point

for point into your own videos. This is an effect where there are a lot of

opportunities to be creative by changing things like the fonts, the colors, the

animations. Just like any other effect it's very important to do it differently,

be creative, and make it your own. But that being said I do hope you've learned

something from this video and if you did do feel free to show your support

by leaving a like on the video, sharing it with your friends, or even

subscribing to my channel. I upload two new filmmaking tutorials every single

week but that's all for

now. Keep creating and I'll see you in the next one.

Prince Harry, Meghan, Prince William and Kate attend secret dinner - Duration: 3:36.

The royal quartet chatted to presenter Anita Rani and singer Tom Walker the Royal Foundation's autumn dinner, at Victoria House in London

But the glamorous bash had been "kept under wraps" by Kensington Palace. Pictures from dinner aren't usually released to the public but performer Tom shared pictures from inside the party on his Twitter and Instagram accounts

The Scottish musician wrote: "I had the absolute honour of performing for and meeting the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge & the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the annual @KensingtonRoyal Royal Foundation dinner

"Thanks to the talented @thatsingingbird from @wearefulleffect for joining me for my last song

" Tom is seen chatting to the Royal couples at the party and posing with the Duke of Cambridge

Kate was wearing an elegant red Preen dress she had previously worn on her tour of Canada, continuing her new custom of recycling old outfits

Meghan — who is expecting a baby in spring — wore a strapless navy Roland Mouret dress, which retails at £2195 ($A3844) and carried a navy UFO clutch

The foundation was set up by the two Princes in 2009 as a channel for their charitable work in many areas, including mental health, wildlife and conservation, young people and the armed forces

Since their respective weddings, Meghan and Kate have also become patrons. The photos emerged after reports that Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan may leave Kensington Palace altogether amid rumours a senior royal is refusing to give up their home

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially set up home in the modest two-bedroom cottage, Nottingham House, after tying the knot in May

Prince Harry lived there while single and it was here he proposed over a roast chicken

But with baby number one on the way, the royal couple are said to be eyeing up a larger property to raise their family in

Earlier this week, the royal family gathered to celebrate Prince Charles' 70th birthday with a tea party and a banquet in Buckingham Palace

In two official photographs released to mark the Prince of Wales's milestone, Charles is shown surrounded by his wife Camilla, two sons William and Harry and three grandchildren

A fourth grandchild is on the way after Prince Harry's wife Meghan, an American former TV actress, announced her pregnancy following the couple's Windsor Castle wedding this year

Part of this story was originally published by The Sun and has been republished with permission

If true, it could be a beautiful end to the character's story.

using your editing software's value graph or graph editor function to smooth

out those animations and enable motion blur.

Kevin Clifton's second wife revealed - and she's very different to Karen - Daily News - Duration: 3:36.

Strictly Come Dancing fans may be shocked to hear that Kevin Clifton has been married three times

Strictly favourites Kevin and Karen Clifton announced the sad news that they had split up earlier this year

The 36-year-old has had two other marriages to fellow professional dancers that each ended in divorce  Kevin, who has had a turbulent love life, first got hitched to a mystery dancer when he was just 20-years-old

They split after he turned his back on competitive dancing, prompting his wife to divorce him because it "was her life"

Kevin didn't stay heartbroken for long and married dancer Clare Craze in 2007

But their marriage was not a success and they ended up splitting in 2010.  Their divorce was finalised in 2013, with Kevin later confessing: "It didn't work out

"  He added: "It was part of my rebellion and we drifted apart." Read More Strictly Come Dancing 2018  Kevin, who is partnered with Stacey Dooley this year, then got married to Karen in 2015

He got down on one knee to propose on her birthday on stage during a performance on Burn the Floor

The pair called an end to their marriage but remain friends and perform alongside each other each week on Strictly

Ahead of this weekend's Blackpool show, Kevin claimed Stacey was the most like a "professional" of any of his previous pairings

He was "dewy eyed" as he watched back the clip of their staggering performance as they glided around the floor to Moon River

But others of his celeb partners, including Susanna Reid and Louise Redknapp , may not be so keen to hear that Stacey was "the most professional" of any of the dancers he has performed with

He said to Zoe Ball on It Takes Two: "I'm ridiculously proud when I watched it back, and just after, how I felt it as well, I said to Stace, 'On six series of Strictly Come Dancing , I've never felt so much like I was dancing with a professional than by the end of that Waltz

"She went, there she was in week two getting a four from Craig and all that, to produce that level of quality on week eight for me, that's just incredible and I'm so proud

First Frost Triage-What Should I Try to Save? Migg's Urban garden - Duration: 8:12.

It's November and we got the forecast that there's supposed to be a hard

freeze. It's the first one of the season, and so I need to go through the yard and

decide what things I'm going to try and save and cover up. This is a wonderful

time of year because the mosquitoes are gone. It's just the right temperature.

So my trellis beans definitely won't survive a hard frost. They've survived

the last couple of light frosts but definitely they're going to be gone.

So I'm picking everything that is green But, like this one,

this one I'm going to save for the seeds. My goal is to not have to buy seed next year,

and ... I'm looking around... I'll pick everything that's green, save the chunky

ones for seed ...

and I'll eat the other ones. And then I'm just going to go ahead pull out all the

rest of these vines so that it's a nice flat area. And then we'll start building

up this area with chipped stuff, grass clippings, things like that, preparing it

for next year. I love how the marigolds here came up again. The first set that I

had planted died back. It went through its lifespan and then it reseeded itself.

And I just loved the way these seeds as they reseed themselves there's all

kinds of different colors in the marigolds. So I didn't even plant these.

They reseeded themselves from what was there and the old plants were what had

come up by themselves from the year before. So this is, I really enjoy seeing

this color. I have some over here too.

Our okra here-- oh here's some beans. So these are the northeaster beans that

Mandie gave us from her garden, and they've trellised up this okra. This is a

hard call. If I thought that this would survive the frost, I would go ahead and

leave it so I could harvest these seeds. But I'm not sure that it will. So I think

I may go ahead and pick it. You can see the leaves are starting to fall pretty well.

The peppers here in area one are not doing particularly well. I think I'm

not going to try and save these from the frost.

There's no peppers on them. There's no ... well there's a few little peppers.

I'll go ahead and pick those. There's not blooms. There's other ones that are doing

better. So those are the ones we'll put our effort into. Here I have a zucchini.

The zucchini came up in a pot. I wasn't expecting it. So it's untimely. I've got

this zucchini here which is cute but there's just almost no chance this is

going to survive a hard freeze. So I won't work too hard to save it.

Here, however, we have my raspberry. Now raspberries I know are going to lose

their leaves, so I'm not too worried about this getting cold. But I don't want

it to get shocked and die. So I will cover it probably with a cardboard box

or something like that, and I'll cover it just to keep it not quite so cold. I want

to ease it into cold so that it will lose its leaves go dormant and survive.

I can't say enough good about the Egyptian walking onions. So if you want

something for your garden that just keeps giving and giving and multiplying

on its own, the Egyptian walking onion is great. We are pulling out several a

day to eat. They are pretty good size. These are ones that I transplanted from

the bulbs just a couple months ago, and they are eating size now. These will

survive all winter long. And I'll show you our other patch up there also of

Egyptian walking onions. so I heartily recommend the Egyptian walking onions.

I'll put the link to the video on that in the description. Except for the onions,

I'm not going to try and save these peppers. This is a sad time of year when

I have to decide that a plant is not worth trying to save through a hard frost.

This has a little bloom here and it hasn't fallen off. It's got some

little blooms but this plant is just so small actually this might be a good one

to dig up and put in a pot. I think I'll do that. You see that its stem is

here, so this plant is only this tall, unlike some of these others that got

long. See this one is very, very long. This one is just short. That's a good idea.

I'll dig this one up. We'll put it in a pot and see what happens.

So this is what we call area three. It's here underneath the walnut tree. On this

side we planted onions. This area didn't do very well and so we decided it was

going to go all onions and strawberries. I definitely will cover the strawberries.

I won't worry too much about them because they can take a freeze but my

big question is what else over here I should attempt to save. So I've got

this nice little chili pepper here and you see it's got blooms. It's got fruit

growing. It's pretty compact. If I can put a box over this or maybe a window box

around that I may go ahead and try and save this one because it's doing so

well even in this cool temperature. So here's a tomato plant

in area number three. It's hearty and healthy. This type of tomato here you

can see it's setting tomatoes which is wonderful. The odds of it not succumbing

to a hard frost, Pretty slim. And then over here on the other side of this

fence I've got a pepper plant that has multiple blooms. This is a banana pepper.

Here you can see it's growing. It's banana pepper has got multiple blooms

and here next to it this pepper has some blooms here forming that haven't fallen off.

So this area right here, I'll have to leave the fence because the tomato goes

through it. Otherwise I would take this fence down but that will give me

something to put the cover over. This is the area I'm gonna have to try and save

the plants I think because it's got the pepper, the two peppers, the tomato, the

okra all right together. Now here next to it, this cucumber not gonna survive. Very

sad. Maybe I'll put it in a pot also. Now that I know this is the area I'm going

to try and save, I'll go ahead and build some boxes around them. my goal is to

build a box out of windows around it as kind of a frame and then possibly cover

inside the box and then outside the box with the row cover.

English Subtitles for el Anuncio de la Lotería de Navidad. - Duration: 5:40.

There you go.

So are you going home for Christmas Eve like usual?

Probably not.

You're not still mad at your brother?

Listen Juan I've got extra tickets that I'm not returning, up for splitting one?

Just think… it could be a winner.

Ok but I'm taking the whole thing…

Just think… it could be a winner.

Excuse me, could you cut me a key?

We're closed

Not fully.

We're closed.

Merry Christmas, thanks a bunch.

It's Groundhog Day!

Not this again.

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of December and the national lottery is finally here!

Juan, wait up!

Jesus, watch out.

Sorry!

Hey, could I get a coffee?

Of course.

We've won el gordo? It can't be…

Oh my God…We've won… We've won!

We're all so happy; so many people had a share in these tickets.

And I had some I hadn't returned and I'd kept them…And they won!

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of November and the national lottery (...)

22nd.. what a clown.

Again?

Juan, wait up!

Again?

Sorry!

I've seen this before…

Pilar, what's today's date?

What do you think? The 22nd.

Hey, could I get a coffee?

Of course.

Oh my God…We've won… We've won!

We're all so happy; so many people had a share in these tickets. And I had some that I hadn't returned and I'd kept them…And they won!

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of December and the national lottery is finally here!

Pilar, do you still have those tickets from yesterday?

Sure why?

Give me the lot.

YES!

We're all so happy

Well actually.. nearly all of them were bought by a life-long client.

But we're happy… very happy.

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of December (...)

Pilar the tickets you got left. I'll buy them all. Come on. Quickly.

Alicia, you still got tickets?

Yes, how many you want?

YES!!!

I'll take them all.

All?

Yes.

Call it a premonition, call it intuition... but I won it all!

Give me all your tickets!!!

I'd like to make a toast to my very first ex, who said I was jinxed:

I have 14 gordos.

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of December and the national lottery is finally here!

How does it feel? Well the same as yesterday, the day before yesterday...

The day before that.

I'm exhausted.

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 22nd of December.

Christmas is so beautiful. Pity it's over so soon.

Pilar, give me all your...

I'll take a latte.

Could I get a coffee?

Of course.

So how's your dad holding up?

Alright.. still in hospital.

Poor guy and at this time of year.

Yeah.

Well, maybe today you'll have some luck.

Not for me. With everything going on I forgot to enter.

Wait you're the keys guy.

I am.

Listen, I have a ticket. If you like we can share it.

We might get lucky.

No no no. Really.

I only have exact change for the coffee.

Don't worry about that. If it wins, you can pay me then.

Wait, what's your number?

I think you won!

Our number. We won.

Really?

Yes.

I don't believe it. Thank you so much.

Thank you.

(Laughing) Well... cheers to that.

What's your name?

Juan.

(Laughing) Juan.

It's six o'clock, five in the canaries. It's the 23rd of December and celebrations continue for the winners of El Gordo.

They probably still can't believe it's not all just a dream.
